Welcome to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr. along with my brother Rick, we examine current events in the light of God's prophetic word. In the words of Dr. Jimmy DeYoung, our father, he said, We are at a time like we have never been before in history.
And he said that in 2018. Here we are, eight years later, and we're at a time like we have never been in history before.
Well, we've got a lot to cover today on the program. Ken Timmerman, David Dolan, Winky Madad, all focusing on the Middle East. And of course, Dr. Jimmy DeYoung in the legacy series. Then Rick and I will come at the end of the program to wrap it all up.
Rick, let's get started with our first Ken Timmerman.
Well, that's right, Jimmy. I have Ken Timmerman with us today. He's the guy we go to when we want to know what is going on around the world. He's an author, an analyst, and you can find out more about him by going to his website at kentimmerman.com. Ken, thanks for being with us today.
Thanks for having me on, Rick. It's always a pleasure. Ken will start in Iran, where President Trump halted what he said was going to be a massive attack. Can you tell us about this?
Well, the president is constantly trying to find the sweet spot of war versus negotiations. And people need to remember that war is politics by other means. This is what the claus would said many centuries ago. And we are trying to see how much military pressure is going to equal political success. And so far, we haven't found that sweet spot.
The president is constantly searching for it. He does not want to inflict more pain on the Iranian people than he wants to. He does not want to inflict more damage on the infrastructure of Iran than is absolutely necessary. He has to get the regime to agree to our basic demands. And the basic demands remain what they have been forever, Rick, and that is that they open the Strait of Hormuz without tolls, without tariffs, and without exclusions.
They are not willing to do that yet. And most importantly, that they give up their nuclear weapons capabilities. Rick, and if anybody really needed to be reminded of why that is so important, we have the IRGC commander, the Revolutionary Guards commander in Iran, Ahmed Wahidi, admitting on Wednesday that Iran is developing nuclear weapons. This is the first time that the regime has ever admitted this openly and publicly. Here's the quote: He said: As long as the United States and Israel possess nuclear weapons, we will continue working on them for our national security.
If they disarm, we will disarm.
Well, that's an extraordinary admission. It's something that all of us who track Iran have known, if you wish, for years and years, but it's the first time we've actually heard them say it openly. That's what this war is all about. It's all about preventing Iran from having nuclear weapons. Rick, look at the way that they're behaving today.
The Iranians, we assume, do not have nuclear weapons because they haven't used them. And look at the way that they are holding their neighbors hostage, that they're holding the world economy hostage by closing the Strait of Hormuz. Just imagine what they would be doing if they had nuclear weapons. That's why we are in this, and that's what President Trump is trying to do, find that sweet spot where we can achieve those goals without completely destroying the infrastructure of the nation of Iran. Ken, if you've been paying attention, it's pretty clear those two goals that you said keep that straight of Hormuz open and stop them from getting a nuclear weapon, but there are others, some in the President's own party, that are saying that our objective should be regime collapse.
Well, I happen to think that they may be right. And the reason they may be right is that this regime will not agree to the goals that we have set out. They will not change their behavior. I've been worrying about this for quite some time, Rick. I'm a skeptic that the regime will change their behavior no matter what we do.
But the sweet spot is convincing them that if they do not agree to our goals, that they will be gone. In other words, that their regime will be gone. That's what we have to do. We have to escalate the military pressure on them until they realize that they will lose their regime if they do not agree to our terms. We haven't gotten there yet.
I understand that Ted Cruz is talking about regime collapse. I think he is right. I think that is ultimately the only way that we get them to agree to the goals that we've set out. What? The President is trying to push there gradually, bit by bit.
He doesn't want to inflict this massive damage, which may be what it takes to convince the regime that they're about to go down. Ken, bringing out a crystal ball if you have one here. What do you see happening in the next few weeks as far as this Iranian situation? It's so complicated and confusing.
Well, the latest demands by the Iranians, the Iranian parliament is said to be talking about a new regime for the Strait of Hormuz. They've been negotiating with Oman. And their idea is that they're now going to charge a 5% to 7% toll, plus, they're going to forbid American vessels, Israeli vessels, and vessels that belong to any nation that has been supporting what they call the axis of resistance.
Now, that axis of resistance includes the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Well, guess who is their major, the major supporter of the People fighting against the Houdi rebels, the legitimate government, it's Saudi Arabia.
So they're talking about forbidding the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia from transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Are you kidding me? They are negotiating as if they had won the war. And that's just not going to fly. That is not going to work.
So I think we're going back to major military operations. I happen to think that those like Ted Cruz who say that we should arm the opposition are right. I think we should help the Iranians on the ground to defeat the revolutionary guards. I think also we need to be changing perhaps a bit our military strategy and attacking the points of strength of regime dominance, of regime domination of the Iranian people. In other words, going after the IRGC, going after the Vasijis, that's the local militia that maintains law and order and is arresting dissidents and shooting people on the streets.
Going after them, making it impossible for them to communicate, making it impossible for them to deliver order, to issue orders and have those orders executed. I think we need to step up those kind of attacks. Our focus has been on military hardware. It may be that we've destroyed a lot of fake stuff. The Iranians are very good at camouflage.
The Iraqis were too, but they have fake radar, they have fake missile launchers. We may have used a lot of very expensive hardware to destroy camouflaged equipment or fake equipment. I think it's time we went after the people who are running the regime, that we go after the IRGC, and we help the people of Iran to take the weapons from the IRGC, from those weapons depots. I've talked about this a couple of times on this show. We know where those weapons depots are.
They're all across Iran. We could help the people of Iran to seize the weapons from the IRGC and turn them against their oppressors.
Well, let's switch from the Middle East and let's talk about Russia, where some are fearing that Vladimir Putin is cornered and may make a decision to attack NATO. You know, we've talked about these warnings, especially from the Germans and the Poles, of Putin attacking NATO for some time, Rick. I happen to think they are way, way overblown. If the Russians cannot attack a fourth-rate military power, which is Ukraine, and succeed against them in four years of battle on the ground, I don't think that they're going to be attacking NATO, which is the largest military force and the most sophisticated military force in the world. What they could do, and we've seen some indications of that this week, there were reports coming out of Germany that drones, which armed drones, which were said to be Russians, had landed near a Ukrainian Antonov 124 aircraft.
That's a huge cargo aircraft, the size of a 747. It was at a German airport, a smaller German airport, and this armed drone was found. Literally 100 yards away from the cockpit of this Ukrainian cargo plane.
So the Russians could be doing things like that sabotage inside of Western Europe, where they attack very visible Ukrainian targets or others. I don't see them going up against NATO itself because the response by NATO would just be overwhelming. And I don't think Putin really wants to go there. Putin is not at war with NATO. He wants to make sure that NATO does not go to war with him.
That's what he's been saying from the beginning about the Ukraine war. He did not want Ukraine to join NATO. That was one of his motivations for going to war. He said that from the get-go and he keeps on saying it. I happen to take him at his word on that, and I don't see why we shouldn't.
Can you imagine Russia being encircled by NATO countries? Can you imagine the United States being circled by communist China or by Russia? What if, you know, when we had Cuba as a Russian asset with Soviet nuclear missiles just nine years ago? Miles from American shores. We took that very, very seriously and nearly went to a nuclear war with the Soviet Union in the 1960s to get them out of there.
So I think Russia does have a legitimate security concern about this encirclement by NATO, but I don't see them attacking NATO before that happens. Final question for you, Ken. You brought up China.
Now, they are allies with both Russia and Iran. Where do they fit into this situation right now, especially with President Trump's visit coming soon? There have been increasing reports of military supplies and intelligence support from both China and Russia to the Iranians in the current war. Much of this is classified intelligence. It's been leaks by U.S.
government officials for the most part. I don't know what is true and what is not true, because obviously I don't have access to that classified intelligence. But if the Russians and the Chinese are actively supporting the Iranians in the war, I think there are going to be consequences for that. And I think there are going to be consequences in terms of increased sanctions on Russia by the United States and trade restrictions on China by the United States.
So if the Chinese are really delivering shoulder-launched air defense missiles to Iran, as has been reported over the past two weeks, I think that is a very, very serious thing. And I'm absolutely convinced that President Trump is going to raise that with President Xi at their meeting on September 24th in China. I just find it a little bit difficult to believe that the Chinese, who are generally pretty cautious in what they do, would be willing to provoke us so openly, Rick. I am just skeptical that they're doing that.
So we'll have to see if those intelligence reports are accurate. If they are, President Trump Is absolutely going to take President Xi to the woodshed on this. Ken Timmerman for Prophecy Today. Ken, thanks for being with us. Thanks so much, Rick.
God bless. Excellent job, Ken. And we're focusing on world leaders that are making decisions that are going to affect the future of Bible prophecy. Let's take a break, and when we come back, David Dillon with our Middle East news update right here on Prophecy Today weekend. I'm Steve O'Dell with Mission Network News.
Last week, Hamas agreed to a deal that could see the Gaza Strip transition to civil governance. But despite the step, the same deadlock remains. Hamas says it won't implement the deal to disarm until Israel stops airstrikes and withdraws from Gaza. Israel says it will not do so until Hamas is fully disarmed. For the people of Israel, Eric Mock with Slavic Gospel Association says the deal's outcome won't change the danger they live under.
There's never any news that they hear that would tell them that they should be any less prepared or concerned about the days ahead. That's because deals don't change the ideology of radical Islamic groups. Believers in Christ are no strangers to unyielding resolve, but for them, their calling is to share the good news of Jesus in any and every situation. Ask God to raise up men in Israel hungry for biblical training and ministry. And severe summer heat continues to threaten earthquake survivors in southern Japan.
One week after a pair of high-magnitude earthquakes rocked Kyushu, many of them are still without running water or electricity. A3's Robert Adair says some pastors trained by A3 have made quick trips to the epicenter. Maybe delivering drinks and small supplies, but also trying to better understand the situation on the ground. Believers are working across denominational lines to coordinate a response that puts the love of Jesus into action. The biggest need right now, prayer.
Pray for the people being impacted by this heat wave. Pray that people would not have heat stroke, that they'd get the water they need, that the electricity would come back online quickly. Pray for the people near the epicenter of this earthquake who are still. relatively high level of risk just due to the lack of resources in the middle of a heat wave. Thanks for listening to Mission Network News, a service of one-way ministries.

Well, this is the portion of our program, we call it our Middle East News Update. We look at news coming out of the Middle East in general, but Israel in particular. To do that, we have with us journalist Dave Dolan. Dave, thanks for being with us today. It's always good to be with you, Rick.
Dave, we'll start with an update, what's the latest coming out of Israel this week?
Well, the focus was once again in Israel on its northern neighbor, Lebanon. On Wednesday, we had two IDF soldiers killed in a a hidden bomb explosion in a home that was being used by Hezbollah, had been used by it to store weapons, et cetera, and they were there was a group in there Two were killed, that's the first deaths since the a ceasefire went into effect in June, Rick. Four others were seriously wounded, four other soldiers. And it's not clear if it was That Hezville was aware they were in there and detonated it, or that it just had a tripwire or something like that? The IDF did respond, but in a fairly limited way, after the White House reportedly asked Netanyahu, Prime Minister Netanyahu, not to respond strongly.
To keep things calm, we're in these talks, the same sort of thing they've heard before, we're nearing a peace accord. with Iran or at least an agreement, not a peace accord, but we don't want to upset all of that. And there, we saw some evidence that the Israelis responded because the Chief of Staff said that it was the political echelon that told the Chief of Staff not to respond strongly, and he was not very happy with that. Then on Thursday night, Rick, we had a Hezbollah drone attack, a wire guided drone attack against a group of IDF soldiers. Fortunately, this time, no one was killed.
And the Army censor actually came in and suppressed the story entirely. It only came out midday Friday, one of the papers. said there had been an incident, another incident. But that again, the political echelon had asked the military leaders not to even report on it.
So the details of that haven't been. revealed And we had a similar situation actually down in Gazarik, where, as I said last week, the Board of Peace. Announced that there would be a cessation immediately of IDF activity throughout the strip. and that Hamas was expected to also refrain from any attacks Well, we had some more provocative Hamas action during the week. Guys approaching the so-called yellow line, the division between Israeli-held territory and Hamas-held territory.
And the Israelis responded a couple of times to that, and one Hamas leader was killed in that. We had the Turkish Foreign Minister on Friday, Rick, strongly condemn That is radiation in Gaza. Saying, you know, war criminals again and genocide and the usual things that they've been saying the past couple of years. That was very disturbing, of course, in Jerusalem to his officials, especially because also on Friday, a defense pact was signed between Saudi Arabia and Turkey and Pakistan.
So the two leading Sunni powers in the region, Rick, have vowed to defend Saudi Arabia, basically, to help defend it. And that comes amid reports that a major attack is being planned by the Revolutionary Guards upon Saudi Arabia, not from Iranian territory this time, but from its militia allied militia forces in Iraq, And from, of course, the Houthis. who've been fighting with Saudi Arabia intensely all week, and they They hit a couple more ships in the Red Sea. And so that's very worrisome because the Israelis are concerned that. Erdouan, the Turkish leader, will send naval vessels, et cetera, down to that area of the Red Sea off of Saudi Arabia, and that's not so far from Israel and the port of Eilat, et cetera.
So they're not happy about that. Obviously, they don't want to see Saudi Arabia attacked either. And it's just part of the war indication that The Iranian Revolutionary Guards want this conflict to continue, if not directly with Israel and the United States at the moment. And proving that on Friday, Rick, they reported that more ships Have been attacked by the regime in the Gulf several more ships, including a Saudi vessel. The region is still on a knife edge, but we thought we might be in full war again by the beginning of this week, as President Trump, of course, had vowed.
To do if there wasn't an immediate end to these attacks in the Gulf, et cetera. And then, of course, he called it off at the last minute, saying it was the Saudis mainly that asked him to do that.
So, what's going on there is a little bit confusing, Rick, but the region is still very much on a knife's edge, despite the fact that we didn't go into a full war mode again uh this week. I'd like to follow up a little bit on a few things you said. One, about this agreement with Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan.
Now, of course, Turkey, a NATO member. Pakistan a nuclear power. And then Saudi Arabia, the the keeper of the holy sites there, the Muslim holy sites. And what's the significance of this? What is this m how does this potentially change kind of the dynamic in the Middle East?
Well, for one thing, since the Iranian regime seems determined, at least the IRGC wants to continue the war, it appears. And if there is a major attack upon Saudi Arabia and Turkey and Pakistan get involved, then they're actually going to war against Iran. Along with the United States and the other allies, Arab allies in the region, in effect. because they are Sunni Muslims. And the Saudi is the center of the Sunni Muslim world, Mecca, of course.
and the Iranians are mostly Shiites.
So It does possibly indicate that we're heading towards a much larger war. In fact, you and I know there's prophetic implications of that. And we see the stage further being set for this conflict. And again, the igniter is clearly the Iranians, the Iranian regime, this radical group. that wants war, wants instability, is arrogant.
And they said again on Friday, they're not negotiating at all with the United States. We're talking to Oman across the Strait of Hormuz, and we're arranging how things are going to work, and the U. S. can't do anything about it. But what the US is doing still, Rick, is blockading, of course, the ports And on Friday, one of the American papers reported that no oil.
is getting out by sea at all now from Iran. They may still be getting some out by train to the east through Pakistan, but that's becoming more unlikely with, again, Pakistan seemingly joining the Allies against Iran. And they were using the Caspian Sea, as I said, to send out oil and get back supplies from Russia, but the Ukrainians intervened there, and that's been shut down.
So The regime is under great pressure, but again, It's this burn the house down mentality. That the real radicals and the the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is a hardline extremist. From his statements, we know that. And he wants war, he wants instability, and again, this will bring back the Mahdi. And most importantly, Rick, he seems to be supported by.
The Grand Ayatollah, whose face we haven't seen but does seem to be alive. In that tough stance.
So it just means this war is likely to continue on. for some time, and at least the price of oil has come down a bit. But I don't see any way that the United States, the President Trump, can really change this situation without a regime change, without getting rid of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. And that is clearly how the Israelis feel, even though everyone knows that would take A major war, but as I said, we're already in a growing war. And if there's a massive attack upon Saudi Arabia, the U.
S. is going to have to get involved and respond as well.
So But again, this all makes Turkey stronger. And as you said, nuclear-armed Pakistan. stronger as well and could bring NATO through Turkey into the whole conflict, too.
So prophetic pieces are falling into place for the end time battles, it would seem. It certainly would seem like that, David, as we see this chaos that is being caused and setting the stage for that end time scenario.
Well, in the minute or so that we have left before break, David, I just want to know how the Israelis are handling this. We both care about the State of Israel. We both care about the Jewish people. And we look at this situation. They have been in constant turmoil for so long.
How are they holding up?
Well, it's very, very difficult. Um it's good to have no sirens uh for a few weeks now and people can relax a little bit, but only a little bit. Everybody knows that Hezbollah is still there. Hamas is digging its heels in, and the Revolutionary Guard still consider the destruction of Israel as their number one priority, second to that, the United States. But So, yeah, people are not sleeping easily.
And as they're getting ready to reopen the schools for the fall, There's a lot of nervousness over that and uh people are keeping a Well, as you know, Israelis listen to the news all the time anyway, because they kind of have to. But really now everyone is closely monitoring the situation and of course, praying too. And the synagogues have been full and the messianic communities in prayer and uh Uh and hopefully some Muslims, uh uh more moderate Muslims are praying uh in their way That this will not end up with the destruction. If Israel is destroyed, Over two million. Arabs, most of them Muslims, would also perish uh if if there were a nuclear attack upon it, for instance.
So that's just the reality there.
Well, it certainly is a cause for prayer, not only for the Israelis, but for us as well. David, we've got to take a break right now, but we're going to come back in just a minute. Could you come back with us? I'd be glad to, Rick. Great report, Rick.
We've got to take a break. And when we come back, more of David Dolan and Winky Maddie, right here on Prophecy Today weekend. Uh I'm Steve O'Dell with Mission Network News. Yesterday, Iran-backed Houthis claimed responsibility for striking a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea. The attack risks drawing Saudi Arabia deeper into the U.S.-Iran conflict.
Heart for Iran's Edwin Obneus says ordinary Iranians continue to pay for the regime's proxy wars with their finances and freedoms. People are desperate for truth. Heart for Iran uses satellite broadcasts to spread the gospel in Iran. Pray Iranians find peace in Christ. And air raids, drone nets, and living underground have become regular life for kids living in the Russia-Ukraine war.
Eric Mock with Slavic Gospel Association says they put on summer camps to create islands of peace. In one camp near Odessa, kids wrote on sticky notes what troubled their hearts and stuck them on a cross before kneeling and crying out to Jesus. SGA sends aid to the front lines through local churches, so the gospel is always presented. You can find this full report at missionnews.org. Find your place in the story.
Mission Network News, a service of one of the people. Ministries, I'm Steve O'Dell. Jimmy Dave, as he sometimes does, has agreed to come back with us through the second segment. Dave, thanks for being back. Glad to be with you again, Rick.
Well, David, the reason that Jimmy and I wanted to have you back on the program is we wanted to get your thoughts on development this week. There was a primary in the state of Michigan for Senate, and the Democratic nominee, Abdul Syed, he won that primary, and he is now going to represent the Democrats in the upcoming Senate elections.
Now, he's a Muslim, and he is very anti-Israel, anti-Semitic, in my opinion. He opposes all aid to Israel. He opposes even selling Israel defensive weapons, weapons that Israel can use to protect itself against those rockets that are coming in from their enemies. And David, this is a very concerning move that we have seen from the left for sure, but also from the right, people being very anti-Semitic, very anti-Israel. It's a concerning trend, and I just wanted to get your thoughts on this.
The ironic thing is that four years ago during the midterms in twenty twenty two, Israel was hardly a topic. Of course, we were just coming out of the COVID Crisis and all of that.
So that was the main thing people were focused on, and the economic problems and the inflation. But it was fairly calm in the Middle East and it just wasn't on anybody's mind. It certainly wasn't. A campaign issue in domestic politics in America.
Now, four years later, It is. And what set it off? The Hamas slaughter, mass slaughter. Genocidal slaughter, if I can use those words, because that's what it was. Everyone in sight was killed, women, children.
the elderly, the young, everything. Houses were burned and pil I mean, it was a pogrom. It was a terrible thing, of course. And within weeks we found this support not for Israel, There was initial strong support for Israel, but we saw that waning quickly. and suddenly calls to back Hamas.
Increasing all over the world, really, but especially in Europe and the United States. And we know the story, universities taken over by pro-Hamas students and attacks against the Jewish communities everywhere, firebombing and In one state, of a group calling for the release of the hostages, and they were firebombed by an anti-Semite. On and on and on. And suddenly, the Muslim fundamentalists, the radicals, who were real. Dedicated to jihad guys and gals are rising out of the woodwork.
Okay, that's bad enough. But now, as you said, we have candidates for the U. S. Senate. And we would have probably two right now.
As you said, we have Saeed from Michigan, but we would also have the one that dropped out in Maine. I can't even remember his name anymore, but that had the Nazi tattoo, who was very clearly strongly anti Israel. and both of them saying we should defund Israel in terms of any defense aid or any political support, we should turn away from it. And basically, if you listened to them closely, calling for Israel's destruction, because if the US turns away from supporting them and all military help is banned in that, obviously, Iran and Israel's enemies in the region will have a much stronger hand And Israel's survival will be that much weaker. The Israeli public, I've been talking to some of my friends from there in recent days about this.
Primary in Michigan in particular. And of course, he's not likely to win the Senate seat. according to the polls, Mike Rogers is, but just the fact that one of the two main parties has nominated such a man and it not just nominated, he won the primary.
So he was voted in by the Democratic voters of that state. And of course, As the analyst said, it was mostly college towns, it was mostly white liberals. That voted for him, and the of course the Muslim community around Dearborn, et cetera, voted strongly for him. But the black community in Detroit, et cetera, Two-thirds did not vote for him, they said. Mostly they're Democrats.
And that's because socially they're conservative. A lot of them are Christians. His values, his statements. Are clearly antithetical to many people's beliefs. But the fact again that they're in there.
And there's several, we do know, there's several of the radical Congress people, they're women actually, that already are guaranteed to sit in the Congress because they're in these completely democratic districts in New York City, two of them are. and they will. They don't even have much opposition from the Republicans, so they're going to get in.
So it means we had the what, five or six in what was called the squad. We're now going to have twelve to fifteen, depending on the final results.
So they're becoming a fairly significant factor in the Congress. And of course the Congress is the main funder of the US The system of our government and of our foreign aid and of our military projects and all of that.
So if they become a fairly large voting bloc, then you're going to see the a fight between the democratic leadership The traditional leadership, which is more centrist a little bit more anyway. And these far left people that are rising up here, and we're going to hear much more anti-Israel rhetoric and this sort of thing. And we can only pray and the Israelis are are hopeful at least that there is one Democratic voice still defending them. Of course, that's of all things John Fetterman. Nobody foresaw that either before his election.
But the the Senate minority leader, Chuck Schumer, who's Jewish, and Blumenthal and other Jewish senators are keeping their mouths closed mostly. and not expressing the sort of radical views they are to destroy Israel or stop all funding, et cetera, but not defending Israel very strongly either. And obviously, they feel like they're going to get primarily And Cortez, Casia-Cortez, is definitely likely to challenge Schumer and probably win that seat and become a U. S. senator.
So that would make another Radical U. S. Senator. And of course, the Senators do have more power than the individual congressman. There's only a hundred of them and um Yeah, they have the final say basically in what the Congress Does.
So it's worrisome, very worrisome, Rick, to the Israelis. And And yet, for those who are who know God and I've have an Orthodox friend I've mentioned in Brooklyn who's You know, now I've got a mayor who's a Shiite Muslim and and a communist on top of it. And they're extremely worried. But they trust in God. He trusts in God.
He's Orthodox. And there's many Orthodox Jews the same that believe, you know, well, look at our history. We barely made it back as a country. We're barely here. We had to go through the worst true genocide of history, which was, of course, Hitler's Holocaust.
And we've had wars all the time, every few years since our founding in 'forty eight, which was born in war. And we have all these enemies around us that outnumber us by about, oh, I think it's 300 to 1.
Something like that, just their immediate Muslim neighbors, I'm talking about, not Iran, and not if you had Pakistan and all these other. Things in there, you have, well, of course, well over a billion Muslims in the region.
So there's a few million Jews.
So they say these are the odds, we're here. We are here and we're here because God is with us and for us. And obviously, Mino Callisher that you often interview and who I've known for years and other messianic leaders, the same. They very much strongly believe that the God of Israel is with them, has reestablished Israel. And as you've said in some previous programs, They make mistakes, their governments are flawed.
The people are not perfect by any means, and they're not yet. saved on your program last week. You had a guest speaking about the salvation of Israel ultimately and how that will happen and when it is likely to happen according to the scriptures and this sort of thing.
So We're not surprised that they're mostly in a state of unbelief now. The scriptures indicate that would be the case. He'd bring the dry bones back together and later. the spirit would be breathed into them once they had been reconstituted as a country, as a people. And so that's not only what we hope will take place, you and I and I think probably many listening, we'll say that's a certainty.
We know that is the case because so much else that was prophesied in the scriptures has already come true. And even like I was just mentioning, Turkey getting more involved in this. That's Ezekiel, a Pakistan, a nuclear power. All these things that are happening are indications that we are. heading towards this final dramatic period of history.
But you know, the Lord is on the throne and And the salvation of Israel is promised and is certain because it's promised. And again, it's not just the ancient Hebrew prophets that said that. It was the Apostle Paul that gave us quite a bit of detail About that. And obviously, Jesus Himself alluded to it when He said: when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, At the end of time, then flee the city and these sorts of things, meaning Jews would be back in Jerusalem and there would be a Jewish state again. At that t at that end time, and that's right after he foretold the destruction.
Of the temple and the scattering of the Jewish people to the four corners of the earth, which, of course, all that happened. And all that happened after. He was crucified and rose from the dead.
So it's true prophecy.
So again, we can trust that everything that's said will take place. Satan will be bound in the end. And the God of Israel will rule as he does rule. In reality, but he will visibly rule the world, and all will know that he is indeed the Lord God of Israel. Jimmy, I have Winky Madad with us.
He's a former mayor of Shiloh. He's been on the program many times. Winky, as always, we thank you for joining us from your home there in Shiloh, in the area of Judea and Samaria, in Israel. Thank you. Thank you once again for having me on.
Well, Winky, we have you on the program, and we talk about this all the time. You provide context for us, you give us a religious, political, historic perspective on what is going on there. And it's with that background that I want to talk to you about Israeli politics. Not because this is an Israeli political show, but many listeners, and of course Jimmy and myself on this program, care about the nation of Israel. We care about the Jewish people.
And so we want to understand what's going on there. With that caveat, can you give us a primer? On this race that seems to be becoming more and more complicated, more and more parties, more and more candidates for Prime Minister, can you give us kind of an overview of the upcoming Israeli elections? Um That's a bit of a task. L let me zero in on one or two points because if I give everybody in you a lecture, not much will stick.
Similar to the elections in 1992. Wendelly could lost the elections. And several right-wing parties ran and did not get in. There seems to be a feeling on the right. That there's a large pool of voters Who Worley could?
Are strong on defense measures, security. Rights to the land of Israel, etcetera. But don't like Bibi Netanyahu. And so they're all Jumping into the pond. If I can use that.
uh comparison It goes from Bennett. all the way to the far right. And I'm not going to go into the distinctions between about five or six different uh party lists that seemed to be vying for votes. I want to talk about the phenomenon for just a second. There is only a certain amount of votes that are available.
But unlike in most other Western democracies, In Israel there's a threshold. of three point five percent that you have to pass in the first stage. In order to get to the second stage, To divide up one hundred and twenty seats of the Knesset. And if you don't get in. all those votes are lost.
Which means that Likud has less of a chance of forming A right of center coalition. If it is reduced in numbers. And two or three. or even more of the so-called Right wing parties. Don't get in.
And that what that's the main thing you have to keep the eye on right now. Will Netanyahu be able? To A pull together his team. Tell some people not to run or join them together in like three parties running in one block. In order to take advantage.
of the situation. Am I being understood? Yeah, I think so. And if we look at this and you know, uh elections are complicated and this issue is complicated and if you ask any politician, they'll tell you the next election is the most important election. But because of the existential threats facing the nation of Israel, because of the anti-Semitism around the world, There is a lot at stake in this election, isn't there?
There is. There is because For all the obvious reasons. But for some of the are sort of hidden reasons. One of them Is that And okay, I'm expressing my opinion. There aren't Many if at all politicians Who can anywhere come close to the ability of Mr.
Netanyahu to deal with the diplomatic front from Trump? To Macron. to I don't know who's next in in in the United Kingdom. Andrew Burnham or something like that. or other people.
Anybody else is gonna get run right over. By pressure from Washington, pressure from London, pressure from Paris. Bibi has that ability. No matter how bad he is. On many other issues, or should I rephrase that?
He's not as good as he could be, but he's on other issues. Which makes a lot of people angry. Firmness, security, the Gaza Peace Board, what's doing in Hezbollah, Iran, all sorts of things. But in the end, Politics is about achieving things, not standing on the side and said, I was right. and making a wrong vote.
And that's where we are right now in terms of Israel going to elections.
Well, we look at that situation and we'll continue to follow those elections as we try to understand what's going on. Again, because we care about the nation of Israel, well, I want to move a little bit from Israeli politics to U.S. politics. And you were born in the United States, you're a dual citizen, you have Israeli citizenship, but you know, you were born in New York City, born and raised there, so you have a deep understanding and a feeling for what's going on here in the United States. We see in New York City the new mayor there.
Very anti-Israel, and to me, anti-Semitic.
Now, these recent primaries, the one in Michigan for a Democratic senator, somebody who has said, Abdul Syed, who somebody who has said that not only can we not give Israel aid, but the United States should not be selling offensive or defensive weapons. To the nation of Israel. This is concerning, and I think this is a new litmus test among especially democratic. Candidates, but also candidates on the right as well. Can you talk about this concerning trend in American politics?
Well First of all, for all my non-sympathy for what's going on. The Democratic Party is being taken over and is not really That much a Democratic Party anymore. You're talking about these democratic socialists. You're talking about the progressives. And they have infiltrated into the Democratic Party And they've picked a few hot spots.
And trying to get on a roll, and then within the next two years. Develop congressional candidates. And perhaps even go for the presidency. I mean, he's talk about. A-O-C, I think is her nickname, or initials.
Etc. And This should not be surprising, but I think for too many Americans it is. because this is what's been going on in Europe. especially a place like France, and especially a place like England.
Well you see more and more Muslims Been elected to municipal situations, mayoralties. I mean I mean, you know, the Mayor of London is is is Muslim.
Now, Some people out there with some sort of justice may seem, is Mr. Maidad being prejudicial perhaps or something like that? No. The fact of life is they are. But unlike Christians and Jews in America.
who wanted to integrate into an American way of life. We see too many Muslim leaders, not all, not everyone, but The outstanding ones in the press, in the media, and getting elected. As not wishing to integrate. but to turn things around. How far they can.
That's your problem. I can't do anything from here. If the people listening to this program say listen. I don't want Sharia lore. I don't want anti-Zionism in my public schools.
Misrepresentation of Palestine or Israel, whatever. This is what the threat is, or this is what the challenge is. to the American democratic way of life rather than Israel. And uh it'll affect me, of course. And I'm willing to talk about it.
But in the end, it's not so much a thing that I can influence. Unless many millions of people listening to this program will be convinced that they have to be a little bit more alert and more on the guard. about who is using religion in order to take over America.
Well, it certainly is concerning as we look at this, not only because we are concerned about the political system or the economic system, but there's an ideology here, and you said it stretches across Europe. Of course, you have the Islamic world as well, but there seems a level of anti-Semitism, a level of anti-Israel, anti-Jewishness. You see it on social media all the time. Maybe as high as I've ever seen. Of course, I don't go as far back to World War Two and and the rise of uh Hitler and the Nazis, but you know, this this level of anti-Semitism seems to be at a peak, doesn't it?
Ah, definitely because it's become fashionable. You see, once hate or prejudice. S elides or slides. Into, oh, that's what we talk about. I mean, you know.
I don't know. I remember, was it last year or the year before? Since I'm a Yankees fan, I'm going to use Aaron Judge. No, he was hitting home runs. Everybody became an expert in Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees.
Right? At least for a couple of months. It it's it's what people do. They want to be in with the crowd, so they learn to talk about something. During basketball or finals, you know, the same thing.
Oh, look what he's doing. Is the New York Knicks going to win or whatnot? And after it's over, Unfortunately, the Arab conflict with Israel Doesn't allow the issue of Israel, Zionism, Palestine. to be relaxed, if I can use that word. It's always on the burner.
And a kid going to school. A kid g uh a young adult at work. Going to a dance, I don't know, going to a rock festival, and someone yells.
Something about the ideas death to the IDF. I mean, he doesn't understand anything, but everybody else is doing it. But he wants not to say that or not to do something. And we've seen this before. I'm not talking.
Off the top of my head, they've done even psychological experiments. On on people. in this type of propaganda, do this, do that. And it's been proven, so it it should not be disregarded. It's a trend, and once something like hate becomes a trend.
It becomes that more dangerous because you can't stop it. because there are too many people on the wrong side. being told something wrong to do. I'm speaking with Winky Madat, and he has been talking about the rise of anti-Semitism throughout the world. Winky, this is something that we focus on on this program, and we will continue to do so.
But before I let you go today, Winky, I want to get your thoughts about a couple of other things affecting the nation of Israel. The first one is the Board of Peace. This is President Trump's initiative in Gaza. It's concerning to many in Israel that their security concerns may be overlooked or something might be forced upon them. Could you give us your thoughts on the Board of Peace in Gaza?
Regarding the Board of Peace in Gaza. I don't know. What were the conclusions? And the agreements A reach between Mr. Trump and Mr.
Netanyahu. I have a feeling. That uh Mr. Trump sort of jumps the gun. On a lot of issues, whether it's Iran, whether it's medical aid, or whether it's the economy in the United States and jobs, or the Gaza Peace Board.
He seems to be a little bit too fluid. If I can use that word. About what we're supposed to do, and he's supposed to do, and what's supposed to happen. And um He thinks it's easy to back out of situations. But I think he should have learnt his lesson with Iran when he didn't close the situation with the hormones uh straights That certain people will take a lot of advantage of leaving loopholes open in agreements.
or understandings.
So I mean, is Hamas going to get rid of all its weapons? or only heavy weapons. And is it handing out light arms to everybody in the Gaza Strip to put under their bed. For future use. Are foreign troops actually going to walk into Gaza and take away guns if they have to?
So things that endanger Israel should got should be solved. before Israel has to make any move like withdraw. Or Do this or that, and I think that's the problem we're facing right now with the Gaza Peace Board. Winky, we know that Hamas is an Iranian proxy, and much like the situation there in Gaza, the situation between Israel and Iran, much of it depends on what President Trump does, what President Trump allows to happen. I know that Iran for many, many years now has been the number one existential threat to the nation of Israel, and Israel's had to take that very seriously.
But they are kind of now put on hold by the situation and negotiations that are going on there. Could you give us your thoughts on the situation between Israel and Iran?
Well, look. You asked about Iran now. Iran. is sitting tight. It has Two or three.
Aces up its hole. which United States did not take care of earlier in the campaign or did not allow Israel to take care of. Israel has a lot of experience dealing with Arab states. And a lot of experience being held up at the United Nations. Or by American diktat, or whatever you're talking about, we never get to finish a battle.
And we're at that spot. Mr. Trump has brought America to the situation. Where Israel has been brought to many years ago and many times before, we haven't been able to deal. Uh and deliver militarily speaking, so that we can walk away from the situation.
And Iran still has its proxies? They got the Ghouthies and and Chizvilla still operative. And I understand Mr. Trump. with elections in two months also.
and economy But this is This is reality. He he could have dealt The uh final shot. Months ago, but didn't, and now we're all suffering. Winky Madad, helping us to understand what is going on in the Middle East from an Israeli perspective. Winky, thanks so much.
Look forward to talking to you again soon. Thank you. Goodbye to you. Regards to all, and of course, goodbye to our listeners. Mm-hmm.
Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy D. Young Jr. Along with my brother Rick, we're examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. That's right, we're here today.
We are helping to provide a framework as we look at Bible prophecy, and that was the whole goal of our ministry. Is we have a website, different study aids that you can use. We also have a partnership with Louisiana Baptist University, lbu.edu, is where you can find them. But dad wanted to put something together, and we were involved in that and creating a framework that people could use to study Bible prophecy and understand where we are in the end times. Yes, and they have a master's program and a doctorate-level program.
So you can go for either one of those or both. This leads us to our legacy series today, and today we're going to continue our study of the book of Revelation. It's a great book to be studying today with all. That is happening and unfolding in the Middle East. Before we continue our study, though, let me remind you of several things.
First, let me remind you of the three main events of the future. The rapture, the second coming or the return, and the retribution, which is the great white throne judgment. and we concluded our study last week looking at the sealed judgments. In Revelation chapter six we looked at the first two judgments one of the Which revealed to us the appearance of the Antichrist and the alignment of nations. Revelation 6, verses 1 and 2 is a man on a white horse wearing a crown and with a bow in his hand, going forth to conquer.
This is the Antichrist, a member of the Satanic Trinity. that tries to replicate the true Messiah. He The Antichrist is a false Messiah. Revelation six, verses three and four, is a man on a red horse that takes peace from the earth. And this is the judgment of war that is detailed in Daniel 11.
Ezekiel thirty eight and Psalm eighty three. Take your Bible to day and let's go to Revelation chapter six and verse five, and we'll continue our study of the Book of Revelation as we look at the Sealed Judgments. doctor Jimmy D. Young and the Legacy Series. The next seal, third seal, is famine.
The fourth seal, look at it, verse 7. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold, a pale horse, and his name that saw on it was death, and hell followed with him, and power was given unto him over the fourth part of the earth to kill them with the sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beast of the earth. And so it is in this fourth seal judgment. One fourth of the Earth's population, we're talking about 1.5 billion people are going to be killed in this fourth seal judgment.
That is an awesome thing that is going to happen.
Now, I'm not going to go into all the detail. Please, just let me go through here with you the portion of the scriptures that I'm folding. Chapter 11 is the two witnesses that preach. See, I go from the seals to chapter 11 because during that first three and a half years, remember I said there will be two witnesses that will preach. Verse 3, chapter 11.
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy 1,203 score days. That would be 1,260 days, three and a half years. During that time, they're going to have opportunity to win many, many people to Jesus Christ. In fact, the Bible says in Matthew 24, verse 14, the entire earth will hear the gospel of the kingdom, and then the end of the tribulation period will come. Who is going to do all the preaching?
Well, these two witnesses will be headquartered in the city of Jerusalem on the Temple Mount. The first results of their witnessing will be as foretold here in chapter 7. Go back to chapter 7. I'm going chronologically. I'm not going numerically.
I'm telling you how it's going to unfold. In chapter 7, it says, verse 4: And I heard a number of them which were sealed, and there were sealed 140 and 4,000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel. And God is going to seal 144,000. Chapter 14, verse 4 said, These will be male virgin Jews. The reason they're going to be virgin is they will not have time to deal with marriage or to have a family.
They have seven years to preach the gospel of kingdom to everybody on the face of the earth. And so they will be male virgin Jews, 144,000 from each of the tribes of Israel. Look at verse 9 of chapter 7. And after this, I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number of all the nations, and the kindreds, and the peoples, and the tongues, stood before the throne and before the Lamb.
So these people will come to know Christ. Many people will come to know Christ during the tribulation period. Go back to chapter 11 again. At the end of this first three and a half years, these two witnesses are going to be killed and they're going to lay in the streets of Jerusalem. And it's going to be party time.
Everybody's going to be excited. Look at verse 10. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them and make merry and shall send gifts one unto another, because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth. Then they're going to lay in the streets, not put in the grave, but resurrected and taken up into the heavens. Verse 12.
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. They ascended up into the heavens in a cloud, and their enemies beheld them.
So, that is what's going to take place in the first three and a half years as well, and at the end, they will be. Killed and then resurrected and taken to heaven. Also, at the end of the three and a half years, look at chapter 12 and verse 7. And there was a war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought.
And his angels, and prevailed not, neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil. He was cast out all the way from the first and second heaven to the earth. Chapter 12, verse 12. Therefore, rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them, woe unto the inhabitants of the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Verse 13: When the dragon, that's Satan, saw that he was cast unto the earth, He persecuted the woman that brought forth the man-child. And so we see that Israel is going to be persecuted to the extent that Satan is going to try to wipe them all out. Verse 17: And the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God and keep the testimony of Jesus Christ. This is the midway point of the tribulation period.
Now we go back to chapter 8, because chapter 8 is the record of what's going to happen in the seven trumpet judgments. Chapter 8, verse 1 gives us the seventh seal judgment. Remember, it was the sealed book, and in that sealed book, Was every one of the 21 judgments. Look at verse 1 of chapter 8. And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
That's talking about what has already unfolded on the earth. I believe out of the heavenlies we'll be able to see it, but yet, knowing in the heavenlies at that time what's going to happen in the future, we're not going to be able to say anything. It's going to just, it's going to be so awestruck, we are, we're not going to be able to say anything. And then he starts to open the seals. I mean, the trumpets.
Look at verse 7. And the first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth. And a third part of the trees burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. And the second angel sounded, and as it were, a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood. Verse 9, and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, the fish, they that had life, they died, and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
You're going to see one-third from the heavenlies. If you're here without Christ, you'll see it in person. One-third of the ocean turned to blood. I'm not going to go through all of these. Look at verse 1 of chapter 9.
An angel sounded, and a star, that's talking about not a star, twinkle, twinkle, little star, but a star like Michael Jordan is a basketball star. It's talking about Satan. When he's thrown out of the heavens, he's given the key to the bottomless pit. The bottomless pit, I cannot tell you where it is. I have an idea.
I think it's in outer space, in one of those black hole areas. It's not on the earth because you couldn't have anything bottomless on the earth. But I think it's in our space. I don't know, so don't quote me on telling you where it is. But they're going to be 200 million.
Evil angels. in that location. And they are going to be the angels that committed sexual immorality. Talks about in Jude, verses 5 and 6, and 2 Peter 2:4. Angels, evil angels, committed sexual immorality.
When did that happen?
Well, that was the reason for the flood, Genesis chapter 6. where it says the sons of man had sexual relationship with the daughters of men. The women and evil angels. had a relationship there. And because of that relationship, God wiped out all of humankind.
Have you ever studied the fifth chapter of Genesis, the genealogies from Adam all the way to Noah? Not one evil angel is listed, and That's the reason for that genealogy. and they're going to be released upon the earth and they're going to kill a third of the remaining people alive on the earth. If you kill one-fourth with that fourth seal judgment, and we come to the sixth trumpet judgment. And you kill a third.
That's half of the Earth's population. that has been wiped out. Go to chapter sixteen. These judgments are unfolding. Chapter 16 would be the record of the vile judgments.
And this is going to be intense as we quickly move towards the time of the return of Jesus Christ. Notice what we read here, verse 2, And the first went out and poured out his vial upon the earth, until there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men that had the mark of the beast, those who are falling in line with the beast. And upon them shall worship his image. Verse 3. And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea, and it became as blood of a dead man, and every living soul in it died.
Remember, it was the third in the trumpet judgment.
Now it's all of the ocean turns to blood, and all of the fish of the sea die. And it gets progressively worse. Verse 4 talks about all the waters and the fountains and the streams in the earth turn to blood. This is a terrible time in the tribulation period. It's for the purpose of bringing the earth under submission and earth dwellers under submission.
Look at what's going to happen: verse 8: the fourth vial. And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun, and power was given unto them, the scorched men with fire. Fire, and men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues, and they repented not, even though all this judgment is coming. They don't turn to God. In fact, verse 11 says they blasphemed God, but look at the sixth vial of judgment, verse 12.
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates, and the water thereof was dried up, so that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. The kings of the East would be China, 1.4 billion people. It would be India, 1.3 billion people. That's 2.7 billion people. That's almost half of the Earth's population who have not been involved yet.
And those kings come out of the east into Jerusalem, where all the armies of the world gather together. Look here at verse 13. This is after this sixth vile judgment. And I saw three unclean spirits, like frogs, come up out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast. The dragon, of course, Satan, the beast, Antichrist, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, for they are the spirits of devils.
Look at here, working miracles. Devils work miracles. Which go forth unto the kings of the earth, unto the whole world, to gather them for the battle of that great day of God Almighty. It's the battle of Armageddon, of course, and these evil, evil creatures, Satan, Antichrist, false prophets, satanic trinity, perform miracles to gather all the nations of the world.
Now, look here at verse 17. This is the last. This is the 21st of 21 judgments. They get progressively worse. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air, and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven from the throne saying, It is done!
And there were voices and thunders and lightnings, and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the face of the earth, so mighty an earthquake. And the great city was divided into three parts. The cities of the nations fell, and great Babylon came into remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. Babylon is going to be destroyed. That's the last judgment.
Mm. You heard me correctly say that Babylon is going to be destroyed, and according to Revelation 18, Babylon will be destroyed in one hour. That happens at the end of the seven year tribulation period. this statement may bring some questions to mind, like I thought Babylon was destroyed twenty five hundred years ago, as recorded in Daniel five.
Well, the historic event recorded in Daniel V is the destruction of the Babylonian Empire, not the city of Babylon. The city of Babylon has never been destroyed. Babylon Babylon, the literal city, will become the international headquarters for the one world economic, political, governmental system or empire of the Antichrist during the last half of the tribulation period. This will be our subject next week when we conclude our study of the book of Revelation. Dr.
Jimmy D. Young and the Legacy Series. If you would like to be able to get a book about the book of Revelation, one that he wrote, really easy to read, we encourage you to go to our website and order the book. You can get it as a PDF download, have it on your phone or your iPad, and you'll be able to study the book of Revelation. And most people will sit down and read it all through at one sitting.
We've got to take a break and when we come back, we'll take a look at the book right here on Prophecy Today, weekend. I'm Steve O'Dell with Mission Network News. Lebanon and Israel held a seventh round of talks in Rome this week amid ongoing Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon and Hezbollah's refusal to disarm. Hartford Lebanon's Camille Melkey says the talks dealt with Lebanese prisoners held by Israel, proposed pilot zones, and military operations. Pilot zones involve villages within Israel's so-called yellow line.
Basically, the pilot zones are a test. Israel would withdraw from small areas that it has occupied in southern Lebanon. The Lebanese army comes in and fills that vacuum. and then the Lebanese Government would bestow its leadership and control over those areas. Help Heart for Lebanon demonstrate the love of Christ to people displaced by fighting at mission news.
org. And having the right tools makes any job easier. Unfolding Word just created an entire toolkit for church-centric Bible translators. Unfolding Word's Mark Flood says, Foundations BT is a growing library of open, licensed, just-in-time tools, training, and resources. Translators need the tools for pioneer efforts.
The aim is to equip the global church for Great Commission work, and in this case, specifically for Bible translation among the unreached. The resources guide believers through a streamlined process from basic to advanced. Learning how to understand, translate, and check is essential. You can use the tools too. Find the links in the full report online.
Most of our resources are created with the global church community in mind to support translation and equipping, but quite honestly, a lot of the resources are just great quality tools for understanding the scriptures. Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr. Along with my brother Rick, we've been examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. Rick, I started out the program today saying, you know, last week as dad was teaching through the legacy series, he said, We're living in a time that we've never been at before, and that was back in 2018. And again, we love playing the series and hearing his Bible teaching.
He was so very solid in what he taught. But I also said that it seems like today we're living at a point, and this is eight years later, we're living at a point where we have never been before. And after listening to you on the program today and doing the heavy lifting with our interviewers, Ken Timmerman, David Dolan, Winky Medad, you know, we get information and we cover the same information almost week to week, just advancing it a little bit at a time. And I think that's how Bible prophecy works. I mean, Not that any prophecies are being fulfilled, but we're advancing a little bit at a time.
To when we're going to see the ultimate, the very first, the next event to happen on God's calendar, which is the rapture of the church.
So as we listen to the things that you're saying and what our guys are telling us, It does seem like we're getting closer and closer to the rapture of the church. It certainly does. And as we look at, you know, some of the things our guy said, and I could choose from a variety of things, but I'll start with what Dave Dolan was talking about when we talked about anti-Semitism. And even Winky Madad talked about this as well.
Now, we have witnessed anti-Semitism throughout history for sure, and this is nothing new, and this is Satan's plan to try to defeat God's plan. But we have not seen the levels of anti-Semitism since Israel's been back in the land. We have not seen all these things happening at the same time. And, you know, how many times have you been to the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, Jimmy? Probably 100, 150 times.
We've been to Holocaust Museums all around the world. And, you know, I think that anti-Semitism... in some ways is approaching or maybe even surpassing What we learned or studied and heard about, and what took place back in the 20th century.
Now we look at it, it's just at another level. Combine that with everything else. And I agree with you, Jimmy. We are living in a time like no other. Yes, you know, and Satan's program, Satan would love to defeat three people.
Basically, he would love to defeat God by wiping out the Jewish people, which is anti-Semitism. It's certainly an evil way of thinking. And remember, we focus on the Jews because God is not finished with the Jewish people. There will come a time, and as we teach through Bible prophecy, we understand that God has a program for the Jewish people. He will bring them back into the land, he will restore their land.
He has to fulfill the promises that he made to the Jews, which is the Abrahamic covenant, really, Genesis chapters 12 and 13. And then you've got the Davidic covenant, and you've got the land. Covenant, and you've got the new covenant.
So we do see that the Jews have to be back in the land, and yes, no, they don't. Uh Understand a lot about God right now, the same God that you and I worship, but And as we learned today in Revelation chapter 11, two witnesses are going to be preaching, and there are going to be 144,000 male virgin Jews that will preach the gospel to the whole earth. Our responsibility right now, we're just supposed to go forth and tell others about Jesus Christ. God's plan of salvation for all of mankind. And that's what we're supposed to do.
But all the earth will hear the gospel during that seven-year period of the tribulation period.
So, yes, focusing on anti-Semitism, focusing on even here, which we thought we would really never see, even in the United States, as Winky Madad and David Dolan both spoke about, the rise of. Islam and the Islamic Culture In the United States, really wanting to establish dominance and submission over everyone in the whole world. Yeah, we're seeing that happen on a daily basis. And our world leaders seem like a major chess match with other world leaders to see who's going to win. And it's all leading us to.
Bible prophecy, the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. It sure is, Jimmy. You can you can connect the dots, it seems like. You can see the end. I mean, as we see what's going on here and so many things I can follow up on what you're talking about.
But, you know, we just look at uh what Donald Trump is doing right now and we Oh. Probably has most believers, a love-hate relationship with Donald Trump, but he is trying to at least somewhat stem the tide there in Iran. But take him out of the picture, and what if he had not won this last election? Or what if somebody like some of these far left or even some of these guys on the right come into power in the United States? They're going to.
Basically, withdraw from the Middle East, and that's going to give those nations that are involved in Bible prophecy, Russia, Iran, China is going to continue to have growing influence.
So, you look at those world stories that are taking place right now, that the things that are going on right now, I think the ability for things to shift so quickly, especially depending on who's in office and stuff like that, and when the Lord is ready for this all to begin, that could happen in any moment. Yes, and it sounds like a little bit of a political talk, but it's really about a worldview. And we must have a biblical worldview as we look and understand the main reason we can trust Bible prophecy is that it's like the rest of scripture was written, literally God-breathed, by the creator of the universe. It's inerrant, it's perfect, it's true. And we must understand that before we can understand the role of Bible prophecy, we must understand that the word of God should guide each and every single one of us.
And I think that's why we continue to do this program, why we continue to edify and educate the body of Christ, continue to, and, you know, as we learned last week. in the Legacy series and as dad taught The best way to enhance and bring us closer to the rapture of the church is to tell others about Jesus Christ. And I really feel that that's what's happening. God is holding. The doors of heaven for right now until he tells his son to come get us, but Man, everything that we look at every single day seems to be taking us closer and closer to the rapture of the church.
It certainly does, but I like to hear what you said there. It reminds me of what dad used to say: let's keep the main thing, the main thing, and get about doing the job of sharing the gospel. That's what we're supposed to be doing now. And like you said, that's what's going to bring about that blessed time. Yes, Rick, thanks so much for doing the program today and doing the heavy lifting on these interviews.
Very important for people to understand where we are in God's timetable and how close that we are to the rapture of the church. But it could be eight years from now, but I don't think so. As I look at it and I look at it today, I think the rapture of the church could happen at any moment. That's what I believe, an eminent event. And folks, with everything that we have seen today, the rapture of the church can't be far away.
Let's keep looking up. Until. Thank you so much for joining us today. This is Jay Johnson, inviting you to join us again next week for more of Prophecy Today.
