Welcome to PowerPoint with Jack Graham. We go to heaven by the grace of a loving God who gave his life for us and rose again and who's coming again to take us home to heaven. It's not about the greatness of our sin, but the greatness of God's salvation. On today's PowerPoint, Dr. Graham brings a message about what you'll experience when Jesus makes all things new.
Now, here's Dr. Graham with his message, all things new. Let's get our Bibles open to Revelation chapter 22. The theme of The Bible. is Jesus.
He is coming and He is coming soon. When he comes, he will make all things. No. That one day and one day soon he's taking us to be with him in heaven. And we will return with him in great glory and victory.
We will reign with him, rule with him in the new heavens and the new earth. He makes all things new.
So we come to the end. of the book of Revelation. In fact, we come to the end of the Bible. But we know, of course. When you know Christ, the end is not the end.
The end is never the end. And though the story of the Bible is completed here, believers will share the love and the life of Jesus forever and ever. It never ends with Christ. This is eternity. His love never ends.
It never runs out on any of us. And we will have all of eternity to celebrate. the glory and the grace of our God. Again, He makes all things new. All things new.
I'm looking forward to that day. In the 22nd chapter of Revelation, we're told that Jesus is coming, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the bright and the morning star. The morning star is bright because it shines brightest in the darkness. It is the star, I'm told, that appears just before the dawn. The bright and morning star.
And in the darkest time of the night, the darkest times of our life, the day spring, the day star shines in our hearts and shines in our lives, piercing the darkness. Jesus is the bright and morning star.
So when you read Revelation chapter 22 and you look... into heaven. you discover what heaven will be like. When the day star comes, when the morning star shines. Beginning in verse 1 of chapter 22, look at it with me.
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb. In the midst of the city, a river runs through it. It is pure like a golden stream. Uh from a mountaintop. It flows from the throne of God, signifying the beauty and the glory of heaven, the life of heaven flowing from God and the Lamb.
And through the middle of the street of the city, also on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month, the leaves of the tree for the healing. of the nations. This magnificent place Has trees and streets and walls and gates and Um places to visit. and communication. Remember, heaven is a real place.
For real people in a real eternity. It's not a wispy, ghostly, ethereal. Sci-fi world. But we will live in new bodies immortalized with Christ. In this place called heaven.
In fact, in John chapter 14, verses 1 through 3, this is what Jesus says about the place that he's preparing. He said, You believe in God? Believe also in me. In my father's house are many dwelling places, many rooms. I like the old King James, many mansions.
And if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go, I will come again, receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also. John, with those words of Jesus, from the upper room still echoing in his heart and in his head. When he sees The place prepared. He worships God.
He refers to all of these sights and sounds that are indescribable. Unimaginable. These, of course, images are graphic and speak of a greater reality. You say, are all of these images, are all of these things, trees, and Thrones and buildings and spires and pearls and streets of gold. Is all of that real?
Yes, it's real. It's more than real. The unseen things are more real than the seen things of this world. What we see all around us. is passing away.
But the things that are unseen. They remain forever. And John tells us that Though we can't get our minds around it, we ought to get our hearts into it. Amen. We ought to have the habit of our hearts of reflecting on heaven, why we cannot comprehend it.
We can know some things about heaven. And especially How to go there. and experience heaven. ourselves. The scripture here says that there is in the midst of The place called heaven, a tree.
And this tree of life bears fruit for God's people. To enjoy. I believe you'll meet Adam and Eve at the tree of life. There may be a little sign there that says, meet Adam and Eve right here at the tree of life. Because it was their greatest failure when mankind fell, and Adam and Eve rebelled at the tree and ate the wrong fruit.
Adam and Eve now experiencing the grace and the love of God with all the rest of us. Will be eating the fruit and the favor of God. There is great enjoyment. in eternal life.
Sounds like here we'll be eating food that we actually like. And On this tree of life, it says that the leaves are for the healing of the nations.
Now there's no sickness in heaven.
So we know these leaves aren't for The healing of sick bodies, but rather the healing of the nations. And this speaks, of course, of how much we need with so much division in the world. And nation against nation, as described in the Revelation and in the words of Jesus. The nations will be healed. And nations will be turned into a neighborhood.
Our own neighborhood, our own nations need the healing of God. And in heaven, The word here, the healing of the nations, it means therapeutic. It will be therapeutic. To eat of This tree of life. No more need for medicines.
Doctors are going to be out of business, preachers as far as that goes. No more need to take vitamins. You know, today we do the best to extend life on earth and the quality of life, how grateful we are for. for medicine as well as miracles that preserve life. We want to live as long as we can, as best as we can.
But regardless of how much we try, how many miles we may run, or how much we may exercise, the vitamins we take, the good food that we eat, we get old. We get old? And you wouldn't want to be trapped in a... Sick body. There comes a time in all of our lives when our desire for ultimate healing.
takes place. You know, sometimes heaven is called glory. Why? Because it's glorious. The glory of God is there.
We share in His glory. It is a beautiful, blessed place. Revelation 14, 13 says, Blessed are they who die in the Lord. Death is not an event. Death is not an end.
Death is just the beginning for the believer. We are blessed. We are happy to be there. Heaven is beautiful. Why?
Because God is a God of beauty. And Jesus has been preparing this place for at least two thousand years. Can you imagine how beautiful your place in heaven is going to be with the carpenter's hands upon it? The beauty of earth cannot compare to the glory and the grandeur of heaven. But we'll not just sit around looking at the beauty of heaven, staring into space.
God has work for us to do. In fact, We're told in Revelation chapter 22. That verse 3: No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. Earlier in the scriptures, in the Revelation, we're told in heaven his servants serve him day and night. Imagine doing something you have always wanted to do, what you were made to do, and doing it forever and ever and never growing tired.
Never growing weary. Our service, our worship will be energizing. Don't think of heaven as being one long, boring church service. I think that's one of the lies of the enemy to tell people, well, heaven will be boring. What are you going to do forever?
There will be plenty to do in heaven. We may be traveling in and out of the great city to other planets declaring the glory of God. But the greatest joy of heaven will be worshiping Him. The wonder of heaven, the worship of heaven, the greatest joy is living in perfect fellowship with God. His name is written upon us.
We share His life. We share His love. God is with us, and we are with Him sometimes on earth. We ask the question Where is God in this? There's one of those inexplicable tragedies.
Terrible, unexplainable trials in our lives. From the lives of friends.
Something we can't understand. And we say, where? With God, where is God in this?
Well in heaven No one will have to ask that question. Because if you ask in heaven, where is God?
Somebody will just say, well, he's right over there. He's right here. The fact is, he's right here right now by his spirit. And he comforts us and he's near to us, especially the brokenhearted. during those times of Of tragedy and trials that we can't comprehend, we run to Him and we find our comfort in Him, knowing that He's working all things together for good.
for his glory and for our Good. You're listening to PowerPoint with Jack Graham and the message: all things new. Now, let's get back to today's message, all things new. What will life be like in heaven? We will share not only the life of God and His love forever, but we will share life and love with one another. Of course we will know one another. In heaven.
As a matter of fact... We won't really know each other. Until we get to heaven. Look at your Bibles in 1 Corinthians 13. Just hold your place there in Revelation.
Look at 1 Corinthians 13, verses 9 and 10. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when the perfect comes, that is heaven. In the eternal state in heaven, the partial will pass away. Everything's incomplete now.
When you have questions you cannot answer. You just have to say, okay, it's incomplete. It's an incomplete answer right now. But in heaven, the answers will be Profound, not partial. The partial will pass away.
Verse twelve, for now we see in a mirror dimly, but then. Face to face.
Now we know in part. Then I shall know. Fully, even as I have been known.
So this is why I say you won't really know. Your family member or your friend until you, in the fullness. In the completeness of heaven, you see them and know them.
So we will spend Eternity together. with family and friends. Getting to know one another better. Eating together, playing together, conversing together, worshiping together. doing work and ministry to the glory of God together.
What a happy day. When we are together again with those who have gone before us or those who will come after us. Heaven. Can only imagine. God makes all things new.
But the big question, even though we have questions, and I've just touched on a few of them this morning. We have questions about heaven. The big question is: who will be there? That's the most important question. to ask and answer.
Who will be there?
Well, the scripture tells us about people, some who will not be there. You're in Revelation 22. Get back to Revelation 22 and turn back a chapter. to 21 and verse 8. And there is a list.
of those who are in the lake of fire. And on this list. It speaks of verse 8. the cowardly and the faithless and the detestable as for murderers and the sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars. Their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.
No hope. No future. A similar list is Give it again at the end of Revelation, just in case you missed it. And that is in verse 15. Outside, speaking outside of heaven.
What a terrible thought. Out Side. of heaven. Who wouldn't want to be inside heaven? But outside.
Of heaven. The dogs. Stop talking about your family pet here. In the ancient world, dogs were not typically family pets, but dogs ran the streets. They were rabid.
They were angry. They bit people and dogs were considered filthy animals. And so dogs here references In the Old Testament, The sexually immoral and the homosexual Be immoral. We're considered among those who are described as dogs, along with false prophets and false teachers, dogs. It represents those who are Filthy.
Very descriptive. And sorcerers. The word is pharmakia here. which relates to pharmacy or drug use.
So, included in sorcery is witchcraft and all kinds of spiritism and drug use and abuse. Not there. and the sexually immoral and murderers. including those who take the lives precious unborn in their mother's wombs. and idolaters.
Those who practice false religion. And everyone who loves and practices falsehood, the liars, the slanderers, especially those that lie regarding truth. The truth of the Word of God. It's a terrible, tragic list. Outside.
But I got good news for you. Many people who have committed the sins Listed here. We'll be in heaven. You say, how is that possible? I'll tell you how.
You can be forgiven of any sin. There is no sin that cannot be forgiven. Verse 14 of chapter 22 says: Those in heaven have washed their robes. That means they have washed their robes white in the blood of Christ. This is why Jesus left heaven and came to earth, so that you wouldn't have to go to hell, but that you could go to heaven.
Every drop of his blood that poured out at Calvary. Was saying, I love you, I love you, I love you. You can be forgiven. You can have a brand new life. All of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
And there's none righteous, no, not one. And not any person on earth is righteous enough on their own to go to heaven. We go to heaven by the grace of a loving God who gave his life for us and rose again and who's coming again to take us home to heaven. It's not about the greatness of our sin, but the greatness of God's salvation. The greatness of God's salvation.
That's why the scripture says in 2 Corinthians 5, 17, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation, old things are passed away and everything becomes new. You don't have to live in your sin and your shame. and your separation from God. You can come to Christ. and be forgiven.
and washed white. By the blood of the Lamb. That's the agenda of the Lamb. It is to introduce Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to as many people as possible. Grow one another up in our faith and our convictions and our commitment to Christ.
Come, let us reason together, the prophet thundered. Isaiah 1:18, come, think about it. Reason with us. Though your sins be as scarlet, they will be white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
God's grace is greater than all of our sin. He loves you. By his blood, you can be born again. Jesus described this new life as being so radical, so life-changing, that it's not just a new start. But it's being born all over again.
You have a new life, all things new. begins when you are born Again. That's why. I am so Thankful. That the Word of God, the Bible, The book of Revelation.
concludes with an invitation. Because verse 17, chapter 22, says, The Spirit and the bride say, Come. First, Lord Jesus, come. We're ready. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Amen. The Spirit and the bride say, Come, Lord Jesus, come now. We are ready. But then it says And let the one who hears say, come, and let the one who is thirsty come, and let the one who desires take. of the water of life.
without price. Every person is made for God. And as Augustine said, our souls are restless until we find our rest in Him. We are thirsty and hungry. for God.
That is why the world can't satisfy. Whether it is pleasure. Or possessions, money, things. Popularity. exhilarating experiences.
All of these things fall short. All of these things leave us empty and wanting more or wanting something else. Why? Because we're made for God. We're made to know him.
And the invitation of the Bible. The invitation of this church, the spirit and the bride, say, come. It's God's favorite word. Jesus said, Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I'll give you rest. Come from the outside.
to the inside. By trusting in Christ as your Lord. and save you three times. In this passage, he says, I am coming quickly. I am coming quickly.
I am coming quickly, meaning suddenly. I'm coming soon. Not soon in terms of immediacy. See, it may be immediate, it could be today. But coming soon in terms of imminency, Christ, we believe in the imminent return of Christ, that Christ could come at any time.
Or he could call us home. to be with him through the portals. The passage of death. But the fact is We must be prepared by receiving Christ into our lives. You are listening to PowerPoint with Jack Graham and the message.
things new. It's easy to get caught in the cycle of always trying to do more, be more, and carry it all by yourself. As a result, so many people battle stress and anxiety, especially around the holidays. But that's not God's heart for you. And in his booklet, Breaking Free from Stress.

What is your PowerPoint for today? Uh Our Revelation series has been called All Things New. And it's taken from the whole idea that in the Bible, in the book of Revelation, one day God's kingdom will come and He will make all things new. We will live in a new heaven and a new earth, and we will experience a brand new life forever and ever with Him. All things new.
Can you imagine? Living in the presence of Christ and serving and worshiping Him and never growing tired, never growing weary is new every single day. My prayer is that you will know Jesus, because to know Jesus is to know the reality of hope in your life. You now live with the hope. of knowing for sure.
For certain that if you were to die today, or if Christ were to come today, that you would be in his presence in heaven. The scripture is clear. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. One day we will be present with the Lord. And I say with the Apostle Paul, to live is Christ and to die is gay.
We have a desire to depart. And be with Christ, Paul said. which is far better. But until then, we'll stick around here and tell as many people about Jesus as possible. That's our mission at PowerPoint.
That's what we share together as Christians: the mission of Christ to tell the world. that there is a heaven and there is a hope and that hope is in Christ. And that is today's PowerPoint. Remember, when you give a gift of $10 or more to PowerPoint, we'll send you a copy of Dr. Graham's booklet, Breaking Free from Stress as Our Thanks.
Just text the word stress to 59-789. And join us again next time as Dr. Graham brings a message about everything you need to know to be a Christian. That's next time on PowerPoint with Jack Graham. PowerPoint with Jack Graham is sponsored by PowerPoint Ministries.
