Here's Matt Slick. All right, everybody, and welcome to this show. It's me, Matt Slick, and you're listening to Matt Slick Live. And hope you're having a good day today. I am.
I got to, let's see, do the have the privilege of supporting our missionaries and paying their salaries today. Did that, had to go to the bank, had to do stuff online. Also had a great opportunity to be able to share the faith with a Mormon today. And uh It's always tough to do that because they're not very receptive to the true gospel. They uh you know, they're just not, but you know, the the goal was to witness, to share the faith, and um, by God's grace, got to do that.
All right, now hold on a second, gotta yawn. Oh man, that was a good one.
So, if you want to give me a call, all you're going to do is dial 87720722. seven six and you can also email me that is easy Email me at info at carm.org info at C A R M dot O R G and putting a subject line. Radio comment or radio question, something like that, and we can get to a little bit later. And we have nobody waiting right now. That's interesting.
We've been having a lot of calls, and we have none, and then we have a whole bunch, and then we have some. And today is uh we'll see how that goes.
So, um I'm working on videos. Maybe some of you have seen them. I've been releasing these videos, one minute videos. And uh oh, excuse me, I'm trying. I got so much to do.
And in fact, Thank you. One of the board of directors and I was talking today about how much I do. I know people sometimes will say, Well, what do you do? And they'll ask, you know, an email, and I'm actually developing a list of the things that I do.
So as I'm busy, I'm like, man, I am busy.
So just working, you know, just working. And I'm working on a video today. on a very simple thing, something very, very simple. And Oh man, I literally yawned! Wow, sorry about that.
Wow, oh I'm a little bit sudden.
So, as you know, what I do, one of the things I do, is I'm always trying to promote the gospel. The true gospel, not the false gospel of faith plus your works. get you salvation. And uh You know, one of the things I like to do is just get people to think.
So check this out.
Now, if you deny. Justification by faith alone then you must add works to obtain justification. See, it's very simple, right? If you deny that justification is by faith alone, then you have to add something to it. You gotta add your works.
This means you must identify what those works are so you can do them. Because if you said, hey, you got to do works, but I don't know which ones, well, then you can't know if you're saved or not, or if you're making it, right?
Now Here is a catch-all. Man, yawns are hitting me all of a sudden. If you cannot identify all Of what you have to do. then you cannot know all that's required. Right?
This would mean, then, that you cannot know if you've done enough to be justified. Yet have a list Can't have a list. Therefore, justification by faith and works undermines itself because you can't know all that you have to do. See, really simple.
So this is a self-defeating and untrustworthy system of justification. What is self-defeating and untrustworthy must be reject rejected. Therefore, what's left? Justification by faith alone is the only coherent alternative And the only basis on which you can actually know you're justified. Yeah, I apologize.
I'm just getting slammed with a bunch of yawns all of a sudden. But Here's the thing. When I talk to people. And I say, Have you done enough good works? They get mad at me for saying, Well, only a false teacher wants good works, list of good works.
That's just a way of excusing yourself and not stepping up to the plates and saying what you've got to do. If you've got to be saved by faith and works, then what works? If you don't know, then you can't know you're saved. It's just simple. And um So I get attacked for that, right?
I've been called a child of the devil and demon-possessed, and because I asked a simple question: well, what have you got to do? What works have you got to do? If you're saved by faith and works, or you're justified before God by faith and works, well, then what are the works you got to do? Oh, you're the devil for asking that.
Well, why? Jesus asked questions for clarification, and so did Paul.
So I can't, and then I get accused of being evil. This is called an ad hominem. It's an avoidance of the actual question. It's too difficult to answer because they know the ramifications of it.
Well, if you give me this list, are you doing this list? And this is one of the things when I do occasionally get a list. I ask him. I ask, are you doing the list? Are you doing properly?
And they tell me that they are. I always get out of that. Are you doing enough? Are you doing it right? Uh And uh they say yes.
I say, really, you are? And they go, yeah, yeah. You're doing all those works? Yeah. Oh, okay.
Um Do you ever have to go to confession or repent and confess your sins?
Well, yeah.
Well, then you're not doing them. And they say, no, no, no, we are doing them. But if you're failing to do them. That's not doing them. Right?
So If I ask you to build a table, and you fail to build a table. You've not built a table. You're not doing it. We're we're trying now. Trying is not the same thing as doing it.
It's simple. It is so simple. All right. And a fact, I think I got a quote I can probably get during the break from some Mormon writing. They say, trying is not good enough, you've got to accomplish it.
I'm gonna see if I can find that.
So this is the problem I'm running in, and which really, really Fascinating to me, seriously, is How much is it?
So many people are s just so blinded blinded by the devil Because I know that, because if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the God of this world. Has blinded the minds of the unbelievers. That's the devil. That's 2 Corinthians 4 verses 3 and 4. Uh So when I ask them, Are you doing enough?
They say they are. That means you don't ever make any mistakes. No, we do make mistakes. We do sin.
Well, then you're not doing it all. Yes, we are. And they say they're doing all the things you've got to do. What is all the things you've got to do? No, and I can't give you a list that you don't know if you're doing everything.
Well, we're doing it because it's intention of our heart. Oh, so the attention of your heart is now which good enough before God?
So you're saying that you're you're good enough internally? With the blood of God, in order to To go to heaven? Yes. I actually get these answers from people. And I say, how is it not prideful?
And then they had the nerve to say I'm the prideful one. I'm the private only because I could think I could actually know if I'm saved or not. Yeah. Yeah, I know I'm saved because I don't have to add my works to salvation. I just trust what Jesus did.
That's how I know. Because I trust what He did. What He did's good. If I trust in what he did, then I'm good. No, because if I trust what I do, I can't be good.
You can't know. But the Bible says these things are written so you may know you have eternal life. 1 John 5:13. You can know you have eternal life. I do.
Not because I'm good. not because I do enough good works, but because I trusted in the goodness and the good works of Jesus. because are perfect. I just trust what he did. I'm with him.
I'm not there before the infinite judge of the universe saying, yeah, you know what? Actually, I did okay. I was doing the works. I was sincere. I made a few mistakes, but I know you understand.
As long as I repent. Then I can go to heaven. But repentance is a good work.
So they continually Tell me. That they get to heaven because of their goodness? their repentance, their sincerity? It's about them. It's about them, what they can do, how sincere they are, how many good works they can do.
And if I ask them, are they really doing it right?
Well, the answer ultimately when I press them is no. They're not doing it right. But yet they're still going to heaven. Why? I'll tell you why.
Because they don't know the true gospel. And because. They are judging righteousness based on their own ability. This means they're idolaters. You see, when anyone says, God will understand my failure.
He will understand my failure.
So I know that God won't judge me. because I'm sincere. Because I'm the one who's good. because I know what I'm doing. And I'm trying.
And when I mess up, I just repent. And I get to go to heaven. As long as I keep repenting, Keep staying in that good fellowship with God. and keep continuing to do those right things. It's gonna be good.
And I ask him Again. How is that not prideful to think that you, by your faith in God and what you can do before God? gets you salvation. Because that's what uh Romans 4.4 is talking about. When it says, Romans 4:4, for the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but what is due.
If you're saved by faith and works. Then your works Along with your faith, get you salvation.
Sometimes what they'll say is: no, it doesn't get you salvation. Because it's not the result of your works. It's a result of grace. Then I ask him.
Well then can you be saved by faith alone without the works?
Now they're stuck. If they say faith alone, Why I say welcome to Protestantism, welcome to biblical theology. If they say no, you have to do good works, but it's not the good works that get you salvation, then if it's not good works that get you salvation along with your faith, then you're justified by faith alone. No, you're not. Oh, so it's by faith and your works you have to do them.
And if you say that it's not a direct reward for what you do, then how is it that you have to do them to get the reward? They make no sense. But this is the mindset of so many people that I come across. Who so continually and regularly deny the truth of the gospel. Of Jesus, and what is that gospel?
Having therefore been justified by faith, Romans 5. Jesus says in Luke eighteen fourteen that A p a parable he gave, the story he gave of the the uh Tax gatherer and the Pharisee. And he says the tax gatherer went down to his house justified. He didn't appeal to any good works. He just appealed to God.
He says, God, be merciful to me, the sinner. And Romans 4:5 says, To the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness. Clearly, the Bible teaches salvation without works because your works are touched by your sin. and therefore they're not pure. But the faith that God grants you.
Philippians 1.29. The faith that God works in you that's in Jesus, John 6, 29, is by itself Sufficient? Pure? incapable. And it can save you.
Because if righteousness can come or can come through what you do. in the law. Then Christ died needlessly. That's Galatians 2:21. I do not nullify the grace of God.
For if righteousness comes through the law, through what you do, than Christ died needlessly. Yeah. In Galatians 2:16, nevertheless, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but through faith in Christ Jesus. not by works of the law, but by faith. Paul always contrasts them.
He contrasts them. He doesn't combine them. That's why he says in Romans 4:5, to the one who does not work, but believes. He's negating works. to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly.
His faith has credited his righteousness. If you're a believer. And if you're doing the good works. Then you're godly. But notice what it says: to the one who does not work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly.
His faith has credited his righteousness. Boy, I'll tell you.
So many people Deny the true gospel. And they are on the way to hell. and they gathered to themselves teachers. It tickled their own ears. comfort their own hearts.
in their own self righteousness and their pride, saying, I can do enough. with my faith in God. Buy my works. to be made right before and be saved. Blasphemy.
We write back after these messages, please. Stay tuned. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. Well, right away and welcome back to the show.
If you want to give me a call, all I've got to do is dial 8772072276. And hope to hear from you.
So, where do I have these kind of conversations? A lot of them are online in. in Discord Also in um What's that one that's the phone one? I've been in it for a while, and I've always had trouble remembering it anyway. Even though I've been in I used to go in there a lot, but now a TikTok also.
And I believe it or not, I go into um The virtual world with an Oculus Meta 3 quest, MetaQuest 3, and uh I go in there and go into rooms and just go in and listen to people talk in avatars and then.
Sometimes witness. I'm always looking for opportunities to witness. It's just what I do. Love to do it. Love to do it.
Let's get to Andre from. North Carolina, Andre, welcome. You're on the air. Yeah. How you doing, Mr.
Marriott? This is Mr. Ma'ams. I'm doing okay. Excuse me, doing okay.
What are you talking about? I want to call Dave talk to you about we talk about the holy days. the holy days and the feast days of this year. What do you what do you think about the holiday before instead of the holiday And the holidays, what do you think about that? I'm I'm not really concerned about him.
I really don't care about 'em. I really don't care about them. I'm really not concerned about them. You don't get into the holidays and the holidays.
Well, you know, I might take some time off for Christmas and That's about it.
Okay. Yeah, I think you certainly I've been really frustrated seeing about the site fish of Well I can't understand you. I can't understand you. What are you saying? Actually, you said me about 1 Corinthians 10 the other day about reading 1 Corinthians.
Oh, okay, it was you.
Okay, and did you read that? Oh Like, uh yes not bad. Uh-huh. But it was talking about the sacrificial. Yeah, the psychological sacrificial.
The E B Not who causing the food. The fools Uh the psychosphistry don't don't don't get cut. That's what Paul and Paul speaking in that at the book of first Corinthians 10. It's talking about that we can eat meat sacrificed to idols. You don't have to worry about things like that.
And you certainly don't have to worry about feast days and keeping them. You don't have to worry about that. Get caught up in the feet of life. But my question is: why do we get caught up in these false paganism? legends into a legend.
Yeah, like black Hebrew Israelite the false pagan re religion. Yeah. Mm-hmm. You do?
So you you say that The Hebrew is like on four states. Oh yeah, they're they're a false group. They're they're subgroups and stuff like that. They uh teach uh false doctrine. They are in service of the devil.
Mm-hmm. I think that. Uh perfect. Do y'all study the holy day instead of holiday Passover? I don't care about him because Paul the Apostle, who's called by Jesus Christ as an apostle, says, Therefore, let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day, Colossians 2:16.
So I don't have to worry about the festivals.
So, you said you don't have to pay no attention about the Passover, nothing like that. That's irrelevant and trivial. You don't. I don't. I'm unusual, even as a Christian.
I don't. See any big deal with celebrating holidays. I mean, Passover, that's great. I praise God, you know, and go to church, but I don't get up early to go to a Passover church service. I don't do that.
Some people do, I don't. I just it doesn't, you know, I okay. And Christmas, it's nice. And since my wife passed away, I got a Christmas tree that's a plastic one, it's a foot and a half high.
so that I can at least uh you know remember her 'cause she always loves Christmas tree. And that was it.
So you put up Christmas trees? Yeah, in my house, I have a little one. It has a nice little light bulb on it. And uh Yeah. Uh uh you put up qu uh uh uh Santa Claus's too?
No, no. No, no, no. 'Cause you you do the East of Bunny. No, I don't do that. No, I don't do that.
What about Easter eggs? I don't hide Easter eggs. I don't do that either. I watch it from later. I like chocolate MMs though.
Those are great. I had him in the freezer. I hide 'em in the freezer so I go get them later and go, Oh, those are good. Really cool MM story. Yeah.
Have you tried the hunting one? Behind the MM. No, you got money in the mail.
Well, I I'll give it a shot. I think peanut M's are the perfect candy. There's none better. That's my opinion.
Okay. Oh man, that you remember back there don't milk in your own milk than your ham. I'm not sure if I can do it. That's right. And if you freeze them and then you put them in your cheeks without biting them, sometimes you can hear the heat.
uh the cra uh hear the crack from the heat uh that cracks on. I like that. That's to me that's pretty exciting. Yeah, that's I like that. You remember mister Artemis?
Yeah. Uh would you like to be my neighbor? Yeah. That's right. What's his name?
Yeah. Uh-huh. I remember, yeah, whatever his name was. Do you remember that? Yeah, uh-huh.
What is his name? I don't know, I forget his name. Yeah, but I don't care about festivals. I'm not one who does all that celebrating stuff. Even for my own birthday, I mean, I got myself a gift once, but I'm not that's not a big deal.
I don't care. All right, so what's this about the feast dates? Why are you bringing up the feast dates? Let's get back on topic here, okay? There's a bunch of rambling here.
So. Mm so do you have to observe the feast days? Yes, I do. Uh, also the Shabbat day too. We fought the observe those days, the Passover, because you know, you had the Passover.
Do you have to observe them to be sound? You're going to have to observe because we're giving in to the Passover. You're going to have to put the blood over your door. You remember Hebrew Island put the blood over the door?
Okay, hold on, hold on. Do you have to observe all these things to be saved? Um you what do you have With it, you got the stick with it, you recognize him, and realize what he's here. But I didn't ask that. I said you have to do them to be saved.
Well, you know, you don't have to you have to be fast and blitz Yahushua was to say in order to be saved. Yet the what? Just be saved and baptized in the next I'm not sure if I can do it. Yeah. Uh It has to be first for Yeah.
Of all this stuff, we're suffering abundantly. Did you know that Jesus was sprinkled? He wasn't immersed. Did you know that? Yeah, we have to be immersed.
He comes to be a merge. No, he was freaked according to the law. No, in Numbers 8:7, he was sprinkled according to the law, entering into the priesthood. He was not immersed. The law f uh the instruction of the law was anyone entering into the priesthood, that's what he was doing at his baptism, has to be sprinkled.
That's the command of Scripture.
So he was sprinkled. No, that's scripture. Bible. Bible. Bible and Numbers, Numbers 8, Exodus 29, okay, and Numbers 4.
in order To be entering into the priesthood, you had to be 30 years of old. Vague, Jesus was 30. had have a verbal blessing given, my beloved son whom I am well pleased. Right? Anointed with oil.
That's the Holy Spirit coming upon him. He had to be sprinkled with water. Numbers 8:7. I'm just telling what the scripture says. That casual extends and rapture.
You're breaking up a lot. You're breaking up a lot. But that's what it says.
So I think you need to follow what Jesus did, because if you don't.
Well, I guess you can't be saved. We gotta go because there's a break. And we'll get to see Oscar next and then John from Colorado. We'll be right back after these messages, please stay tuned. It's Matt Slick Live, taking a call at 877-207-2276.
Here's Matt Slick. All right, welcome back to the show. Let's get to Oscar from New York. Oscar, welcome. You're on the airport.
Yes, sir. Yeah, my question. If somebody calls themselves an apostle today, should we ask them for their credentials? I think that's good. I think it's a good idea.
Yeah. Yeah. Because my understanding is that an apostle is somebody who spoke of Jesus directly and saw Jesus' many rules. I would agree. I like to say, what makes you an apostle?
Give me the biblical reason you're an apostle. I've talked to guys. Oh, I'm an apostle. Oh, okay, you're an apostle.
Okay, so can you define me? biblically what an apostle is, and then see which category you fit into and why. But they don't want to do that, so generally I you know, I I annoy the crud out of people. I ask these annoying questions all the time. Yeah.
I do. Yeah, but people don't like it. Yeah, yeah, because they should have some kind of evidence from the Bible. Yeah, they should have a reason to verify, you know, and there are seven different categories of apostle. In the Bible believes not, seven different kinds.
And even Jesus was called an apostle. You can have an apostle simply in the sense of being sent. Because apostello in the Greek just means to send.
So, anyone who's sent in a very loose sense, and there's the apostles who are with Jesus, then as disciples, then there was Paul the Apostle. He was not a disciple of Jesus, but he was called his apostle later. And then we have false apostles. I got a list of them. I'm going to tell you what they are, but anyway.
Yeah, so it's legitimate to ask for verification or some support.
So they claim that they are apostles. Yeah. Right, right, right. Thank you, thank you.
Okay, thank you. Good blessing.
Okay, well God bless. Yeah. Alright, alright, alright, alright.
Now I'm looking. Looking to see if I can find my list. I uh Apostles and prophets. I'm trying to find the list. I found it before I wrote it.
I did a Ask Peter questions. I'm trying to find it. Maybe somebody finds them. There's seven different kinds of apostles. It's in one of my articles.
So You know I gotta I gotta arrange my stuff better. Hey, let's get to John from Colorado. John, welcome you're on the air. Hey, Matt.
Okay. What do you got? Um so um I think it's X. Five three Okay, let's go to X. Five, three.
Peter said, Ananias wife Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price for the land. Yep. Mm-hmm. Okay. The topic would be communism.
Good or bad?
Okay. So you went to Acts 5.3 to support communism or not support communism? What are you saying? It looks so nice how the church came together. Like they were all related, like they were all family.
And you know, they share the resources, it looks so nice.
Okay. What is it?
Okay, look nice.
So it looks nice. Does that mean if it looks nice, it's it is nice?
Well I'm just saying the idea of communism Oh. Why is it that communist Governments usually are exceedingly oppressive and kill so many people.
Well, of course, of course. Which I Faith in Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter what you do. You'll never come up with a great idea. Um well, uh do you know what the biblical form of government is?
No. A representative form of government out of Exodus 18. Self-governance out of Matthew 18. Private property rights, Exodus 20 and Acts 5. The principle of liberty and freedom from the and uh the promotion of those things, Second Corinthians, Galatians five.
Is that going to stop?
Well, okay. Here I can read you the references, but I'll just read you the the the Major topics. a representative form of government, Self-governance, Private property rights, the principle of liberty and freedom in the promotion of them the principle of self defense and defe defense of others, capitalist principles Witnesses and a fair trial, the right of taxation, the limits of government.
Okay. Those are the biblical principles. If you're a Christian, you should be wanting a biblical government. Those are the biblical government things. Communism is not.
Oh.
Well, It seemed like it was communism. I mean, they were in the commune, right? No. You see, communism is where the government owns all the means of fabrication, manufacturing, Private property generally under the communist regime is not allowed. and that you you exist to serve the state.
The state is the supreme authority. Therefore, communist regimes are known to suppress religious freedoms because the state is supposed to be supreme, not a god.
So therefore they work against the idea of God. That's why they've killed so many people.
Okay. Well, I agree. Communism, well, it didn't work out, did it? And Socialism Neither And what we've got now Not so much. Right, but unfortunately the stupidity of so many morons in our society who wants Communism and/or communism light, which is socialism promoted in schools.
and the leftist moronic Democratic Party that pushes this kind of idiocy, which I think the Democratic Party is a terrorist organization, l terrorist organization light. They are the ones who are undermining our our system. Capitalism is the system that's given the greatest amount of wealth, power, and freedom to as many people as possible. Communism doesn't do that.
Well I'm only bringing up communism, okay. Because I'm thinking about the first century church. One And it and that acts by three. All of us Well, not do those two people, but. You see my point.
Yes, and you're failing to understand something very significant, which a lot of people who go to that for this idea of communism. They mess up. It says they kept back some of the price of the land. While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? That's private property.
Communism doesn't approve of private property. And Peter goes on, and after it was sold, was it not under your control? The government in communism says this: it's a theory of social and political government, organization, excuse me, where all property is held in common. Where there's no private property, there are no classes, where a single self-perpetuating political party controls all economic, social activity, production, and media.
Okay. This contradicts Scripture. Communism has led to the greatest amount of suffering.
Okay. And I'm not advocating for communism. I'm just saying. saying when we all came together in faith. And we share everything in common.
They did it voluntarily. Communism, you don't do that voluntarily. You're forced to. The state tells you what to do. There's a difference.
Could be Do you think it could ever be like that again? Yes, it can when the new heavens and new earth are made. when the wicked are no longer among us. and we can enjoy the fellowship with the Lord who will be our King. will be our Lord.
Then we can.
Okay. Okay. All right. Well, that was um that was my question.
Okay, all right. All right, we'll go.
Okay. Okay. Fine.
So Folks, communism is an evil, ungodly regime. From what I've seen the Democratic Party, and I'm just going to throw rocks at them. The the party, that is. I don't understand why they want.
socialism so much when it's just a form of communism. And they want the state to have more and more control. The more and more rights. Look at what happened in California. and New York, where the leftist Semi-Kami leaders are taxing the bejebris out of people and just causing everyone to leave and to flee.
Look, you know, if I was dictator. UFOs come down and make me dictator. One of the things that I would do is not dictate. I'd say, Find a way to free every individual to do what they want as much as possible. Within the bonds of legality, you know, like no theft, you know, and no extortion and things like that, you know, just common sense stuff.
tax them ten percent of their income. And under a certain amount, like say under $30,000 a year, whatever, I don't know what the numbers are, but say under $30,000, then you only pay 18%. At $15,000, you only pay 5%, you know, things like that. You set people free to use their money for their own benefit because that means they can help others in the process. because they're going to want to work and produce in order to provide for themselves and others.
And that generates income as a whole. And this has been proven so many times before. And the stupid Democrat commies don't want it. Do it. They want to be in control.
We'll be right back. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. Alright, everybody, welcome back to the show. We have nobody waiting.
And since I know I'm really upsetting a lot of people, which I really don't care. Uh I'm going to go through this uh what's called democratic socialism.
Okay. Democratic socialism. And uh there are ten principles. That are basically there in democratic principle socialism.
Okay?
So I've written an article on this, and the article on Carm is what is democratic socialism and does it lead to communism?
So there are ma basic principles. Did a lot of research on this, okay?
So democratic socialism expands government control over the economy even though it affirms private property and private industry. It's okay.
So it seeks to control them and influence them for the greater good.
Now that means they're going to end up controlling everything. When does a government release control? Is it ever the case that governments release control when they have control? My mom and dad told me. That during World War II, The income tax was instituted to fund the war.
and it was only supposed to be during the war. That's what he told me. And I don't know if it's accurate, but that's what I was told. And so there you go. Um Why are they not giving up that control and that source of income?
When people in power, there's an actual study done. When people get in power, something happens to their brain. They get whacked. And they start becoming Stupid. I mean, how many times have you seen these councils where these people, counselors are allowing books?
You know, Johnny and his two dads and they're being uh Told to kindergartners, first grade, second graders. and some of the stuff in there is pretty bad, and that's already bad, but pretty bad. And then you'll have moms and dads read stuff out to the councils and as an example of something, and then it they get silenced because what's being read is so It's inappropriate to even public publicly uh read. It's just horrible. It's pornographic.
And so. They get silenced for it, and then the council in power doesn't care. they continue on with the same power force. This is this kind of study. I wish people would send me this study.
I've read a few, it's been a long time.
So anyway Number two, therefore it gains greater control over health care, rent, education, the production, means of distribution, and cost of goods and services, as well as communications, utilities, industries, banking, public press, etc. In short, it gets into everything.
So, democratic socialism gets into everything. Is that what you want the government to do? Do you want the Government to get into everything? Yes, I do, because I'm lazy, and because I want hand outs, and because I want food stamps all the time, even though I can work. And I have all these moms with these baby daddies, different baby daddies, and I just need lots of support.
I need lots of money. I need lots of stuff. Let the government take care of me. Uh-huh. And when people start succumbing to that, and their brains start changing to that.
What they're doing is supporting a system that ultimately is not healthy. If it expands into healthcare, housing, banking, media, it's going to get into everything and it's going to be in control. Do you want that of a government? Do you want it to be in control of every aspect of your life? You want it to tell you what to do with your own property?
What you do with the cars, what you do with your money. Number three, greater control necessitates greater bureaucracy, which in turn results in even greater control. This is what's going on. This is the issue. More control requires more bureaucracy.
More bureaucracy. necessitates more control. It never shrinks. And it gets to the point where you can't do anything right, or you can't do anything without bureaucratic controls, without this stamp, that stamp, this done, that done, this approval, that approval. It reminds me in part of what I've been told here in Idaho.
In the Treasure Valley area of Idaho, I have been told. by people. who've Christians, who've worked to have churches built. If you're not a Mormon, It takes two years for the permits. If you are a Mormon getting Mormon stuff built, It takes uh around two months.
I've heard people give me a little bit different dates and time links, but it's like that. because the bureaucracy favors the people it likes. And then there's nepotism in bureaucratic controls. And we see this with the leftist hypocrites in California. And, you know, you need to not drive very much while they take your private jets out to big restaurants and not wear masks when COVID is going.
You know, just hypocrites. This is why we need a government. that restricts the power of government. That's what we need a Constitution, a republic. Bill of Rights that restricts government's power.
See, if I was ever dictator, boy, I'll tell you, one of the things if I could do it would be is take as much power away so the dictator doesn't even exist anymore, that it's completely run. by representation. As we're supposed to have in a republic, But what's happening? People get in control. They don't care about morality and truth.
They seek their own and everybody does what's right in their own eyes.
So power becomes increasingly centralized with a growing uh governmental bureaucracy.
So in power it gets centralized. Whoever runs the bureaucracy runs your life.
Now, what if you have. What do you have uh Mormons in patrol. And I go up. And I want to build a new facility for the Karm ministry that exposes the errors of Mormonism. How's it going to work?
Do you think I'm going to succeed? Probably not. Right? Do you think they're going to be fair? No, they're not.
I know the history of Mormonism, they're not fair at all. Oh yeah, that's that's clear. How about atheists there? In my opinion, atheists would be more fair than Mormons. That's my experience, but no guarantees.
So, whoever's at the top runs your life. Big You're allowed to have property, but they restrict how you use it. They allow you to have a business, but they control and influence what you have to do with it, how much you're to spend for it, what you're to spend things on, what you can and can't do. This is kind of stuff. When the state controls your food, housing, healthcare, and banking, you're not free.
You're now dependent. That's a thing. You see? I skipped number five here, kind of summarized. Let's go to six.
Governmental bureaucracies are less efficient than private enterprises due to lack of competition. That is a fact. That's a fact. You know, the you've heard the jokes, the the oxymoron uh governmental efficiency. No.
Okay. When you have a government that forces people to run through a bureaucr a bureaucratic red tape and forms. Do you think that they're going to be able to be as efficient And detailed as is necessary. Of course not. But if you were in control of your own businesses, you could be detailed.
Now, I'm in control of the Carm Ministry. I'm the CEO. And I tell you, I I see details. If it was up to some committee to run it. Yeah, right.
Oh, by the way, we did have a committee running it years ago, and it went bad. Yeah, that's a whole That's quite a story. Not a good story either, how bad it went. But that's because they became in in control, they turned on me. I'm not joking.
I don't know if I've ever told anybody on this. But we had a bunch of people who are on the board of directors who are to do the things that I didn't want to do. I wanted to be free to write and research. They started controlling what I could do and not do. They started telling me what I had to research, telling me the kind of stuff I had to do.
And I said, I don't work like that. They said, you have to submit to us. That, to me, is a perfect example of bureaucracy that got in the way of freedom. And I e long story short, folks, I ended up threatening to leave. And there's some ramifications to that.
And I was. My wife even wanted me to go. She says you've got to leave karm. And I had actually told them I had wrote up a resignation letter and everything and delivered it to them. And that's what broke the their back.
and they realized they're pushing way too hard and and they they stepped away.
So, this is a real-life example of what happens when people get in control. and they become self-centered. And they start telling you what you have to do. I know, I've experienced it. Here's number seven: less efficiency leads to increase in problems such as shortages and reduced quality.
That's a fact. Okay. Let me just kind of summarize.
So no competition means no pressure to improve. And number eight, when it fails. They never blame the model. They blame somebody else. Do the people in charge ever accept the responsibility?
No. They blame others. And if you complain, you get punished. You get penalized. You That's what they're doing and trying to do it in communist China.
You have the um the value points associated with your behavior. You can be denied various rights to travel because the government's in control of you. Yeah. You know, um Here, check this out. I only have a few minutes.
I'm going to go through this quickly. Uh when Venezuela went in the early nineties, but became socialist. In 1992, I'm going to go through this quickly, folks, it became the third richest country in the hemisphere. In 1997, it became the second largest purchaser of F-150 trucks. Oh, excuse me.
In 1998, Hugo Chavez was elected president. The Bolivian Bolivarian Revolution introduced a new constitution and implemented socialist policies. In 2001, Chavez passed laws aimed at the redistribution of land and wealth. and voted uh for a socialist president uh with uh income equality. Private health care was completely socialized in 2004.
In 2005, Chavez signed a decree to eliminate large estates and removal of private property. In 2005, stiff fines and prison terms were imposed on those in the media who criticized public figures. In 2006, Chavez shifted from buying military equipment from the U.S. to communist Russia.
Socialist Russia. In 2007, Chavez announced that the key energy and telecommunications companies will be rationalized, or nationalized. This means they went in and the American companies that had put millions and millions and millions of dollars in equipment and buildings and technology took over. And they said, we're taking it from you. They did.
All higher education became free. Oh, yay That's in two thousand seven. two thousand seven again, Exen Mobile and ConocoPhillips refused to hand over control of operations of the Venezuelan government and were then kicked out of the country. In 2009, socialists banned private ownership of guns. Why would they do that?
So they can control you. Which party wants to get rid of the guns? Is it the Republicans or the Democrats? Oh, and by the way, Which public which uh political party do you think the Antichrist would want to belong to? I have an article on that too.
Call me tomorrow and I'll go through it. Uh back to the uh Chavez Chavez socialist stupidity. In 2009, after they uh in 2009 they they banned ownership of guns, voters approved a plan to abolish term limits. And why would the voters do that? Do you trust those elections now?
Because suddenly the voters are saying, yeah, we want more of this. We don't need term election.
Well, term term limits. We don't need that. Which American party? Oh, yeah. which is trying to get term limits is the Republic of anyway.
In 2012, the government imposed price controls on basic goods to combat afflation. Yeah. Just think of uh communist New York. Bernie Sanders in 2012 praised their American dream. In 2014, 28 people died in the suppression of an anti-government protest.
twenty fourteen opposition leaders were then imprisoned. twenty sixteen food and health care shortages became widespread twenty seventeen constitution and elections were suspended 2019 unarmed citizens were massacred by their own government. And note, by 2018, the UN says 2 million Venezuelans have fled neighboring countries since 2014. in those four years. I'm going through this quickly, right out of time.
Socialism doesn't work, communism doesn't work. Stick with the Bible, what it teaches. We have a republican system. Republic is what the Bible talks about: representative form of government with a Bill of Rights. This is what Scripture supports.
That's what works. we've got a Democratic Party who's working against the very words of God as well as the Constitution of our own country. They're bad. band organization. There, I've offended a lot of people.
Welcome to the Truth Parade. We'll be right back. No, you won't. We'll be back tomorrow after these horrible. See you tomorrow, folks.
God bless bye. Another program powered by the Truth Network.
