So, um I released an article uh just a little bit ago. On the Eastern Orthodox quotes about salvation.
So you can check it out. What I did in there is I provided a source list of the documents that I used, and then it goes down to a topics outline so that you can click on the link and it'll take you to that part of the page. And then inside that page, you can click the word top. and it goes back up to the area. Anyway, the reason I did this is uh I want to provide resources for people because it's a Christian research.
you know, Christian politics and research ministry.
So if you want to see what the Eastern Orthodox Church is teaching about salvation with documentation, that's where you can go. You can check it out right there. And I highlighted some of the more important, or should I say, egregious, errors and false teachings. Of the EO Church.
Now, when I say the Eastern Orthodox Church is not Christian, what I mean by it actually. Is that it's not Christian. The Eastern Orthodox Church, like the Roman Catholic Church, flat out denies the true gospel. That's it. And because of it, It is not a true church, not a true Christian church.
And you can see the documentation for that. Right there on the Carm homepage, just go to and you'll see the Eastern Orthodox quotes About salvation.
So, I wonder if you could do this. What if you could do this? EO quotes. Salvation. Does that give you the I give it to you.
Yeah, there you go. EO quotes about salvation. Just type EO and you can get it. Let's get to Jermaine from California. Jermaine, welcome.
You're on the air. Sure. Hey, Matthew. Today, so I wanted to ask you a question I've been meaning to ask for a long time. Is it ever okay to learn something from controversial Bible teachers and?
What I mean by that is when I was young, I got exposed to to Shepherd's Chapel and Arnold Murray And this is going way, this is Oh man, it was like twenty five plus years ago. And uh, you know, as I matured I learned that a lot of the teachings over there were not Like I was grateful for at least going through the Bible 'cause I had before that I had never had an interest in going through the Bible at all. And the churches I went to were were very nice, but there was never an emphasis on reading the word like that.
So I am I am grateful for some things I learned, but as I'm assured, I was like, yeah, some of this I would not recommend. To someone who's just starting out because they can have a warped view of certain doctrines. But I want to kind of hear your thoughts on that because I know some people would say. you know, I was last minute don't listen to anything other than this. I was like, well, I feel like that was used at a period of my life where I needed it.
Yeah. The bow time actually going through cover to cover. I had never done that before.
So I just wanted to hear your thoughts on it. Sure. Um Just because someone's an occult, it doesn't mean that they can't say something that's true. The problem then is we want to listen to false teachers to learn truths. We want to not do that, but it is certainly possible to learn various truths from The false teachers.
You just have to know well enough that they are false. And or uh Compare it to scripture, you should compare it to scripture always.
So, yeah, it is possible. What I recommend is for the new believers that they avoid groups like that, or avoid the Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox churches, or avoid oneness Pentecostal. Avoid them until you're grounded, then you can learn. But God can use uh he can use false teachers. to uh to teach.
In fact, now Raul Rees, he's a Cover Chapel pastor in Southern California. He's not a false teacher. But I remember once he said something on the radio that was simply true. And I don't agree with him in a lot of areas. And I was listening, and he said, sometimes not knowing the will of God is the will of God.
And it was true.
Now, if an unbeliever had said that, say a Catholic, well, it's still true.
So we can learn From Um from teachers who aren't that good. Laws were careful. Make sense?
Okay. Yeah, it makes perfect sense. And it describes a lot of my journey. B or to that and other So-called, you know, like I would have never learned their doctrine.
So is it well enough to know that Okay. Like you're driving. That's good. But uh Good side again. Yeah, I was just saying.
Exposure. to certain groups because I wouldn't have learned their doctrine had I not. Bit in going. and learning what not to do later in the forever. Right.
Yeah. There's you know, the the issue is yes, we can learn from false teachers, but we've got to be careful. Uh you can accidentally learn something in your ignorance, you know they're false, um or by studying for research uh or just accidentally hearing something that's true. Yeah. Um Yeah, so it's possible.
But in your early days, God used uh false teachings And false teachers to present truth. In fact, In my Bible study that we're going to have here tonight. Um I'm going to probably go into some of the issues. We're going to have it in my house here, excuse me, third Thursday. And uh I gave the group a homework assignment to go through Acts seventeen and extrapolate, deduce the apologetic method of Paul.
One of the things we'll get into is using false teachers. Because he quotes Paul generally, in other areas too, he quotes pagan philosophers. And he uses them.
So there are different senses in which we can say, yes, we can learn from them. And we can use them, but we always gotta be careful. Always.
Okay, um quick follow up to that, would would that include people whom were from more traditional denominations who have incorrectly predicted the dates of the rapture.
Okay. 'Cause I remember there were a lot of. a lot of sound teachers who just plain got it wrong when I was studying with this. Yep. That's right.
And we've got to be careful about that as well. And so that has definitely happened when people, Christians, who give false prophecies, the Bible tells us not to listen to them anymore.
So, I think we should follow scripture, even though they might be a really good pastor and really teach a lot of good things. If they say, Yeah, Jesus is going to return. uh at this time and it doesn't happen, I'm sorry. But you're done. Because that's what the Bible says.
So, yeah. Oh well. All right.
Well, thanks a lot, Matt. Appreciate your time. All right.
Sounds good. God bless. All right.
Couples. God bless. Mm-hmm.
Alright, now let's get to Jamal from North Carolina. Jamal, welcome, buddy. You're on the air. Hey, Brother Slick, how are you doing today, sir? Oh, doing all right.
My voice is getting better. Everything's getting better. How are you doing?
Okay, I'm glad to hear it. I'm doing a lot better now that I'm On the phone talking to you, and thank you for taking my call as usual. Yeah. I have a kind of a difficult question. Hopefully, I can present it well.
Um it was a class that um Pastor R.C. Sproll was teaching, and he was talking about the creation of Adam and Eve. how we need to be thankful for creation Even though God could not create us perfect. Um but through our creation. Um We can be saved through the death and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
So we can be. made perfect to paraphrase. And then they were saying, kind of, what you said before: God can't create another God, God cannot create another perfect being because that being would be God. And God can't be created by another God.
So my question is And if we can't be made perfect in the beginning, And Jesus died for our sins so we can be made perfect after. uh the sacrifice and in heaven how can we be made perfect at that time and not be made perfect in the beginning? Does that make sense? Yeah. So, we've got to stay away from the word perfect because.
Okay. Because, what does perfect mean? It's used in Matthew 5:48, be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect, but the context is about loving everybody equally. When God made Adam and Eve, so many people tell me God made them perfect. It doesn't say that.
It says he made them good, and we should not exceed what's written in scripture so he. He made them good and they were able to sin.
So What is going to be our condition in heaven? We're going to be redeemed. We're not going to be perfect because only God is perfect in the ontological sense, never having sinned, never doing anything wrong. We're not going to be like that. We're going to be sinners redeemed in heaven, in his presence.
So that's why I say we've got to be careful what kind of words we use when we describe this kind of stuff because we don't want to say that we're something that the Bible doesn't ascribe to us. Otherwise, we tend to extrapolatively get into error. That makes sense. Yes, that that makes sense. And this is not the challenge.
This is Yeah, we had no US ready.
Okay, all right. This is not to challenge, you know, I'm just seeking uh answers here.
So Let's see, trying to formulate this up.
So, if we cannot be made perfect and we're made good, which makes sense. How can we be made sinless when we still have the ability? and maybe the option, the capability to sin even in heaven, if we have free will and all that.
Well, that's the question. Can we? And not saying we can, I'm not saying we can't, we can only look at possibilities. And I've described this in different ways. We're going to be redeemed.
And in the redemptive work, The question then is Does it mean then that in the full resurrection in a glorified body? that we will then no longer sin because that's a new condition that we're going to be in. That's the question. I don't have an answer, because the Bible doesn't tell us. Or could it be that we have the capacity to sin, but we never will, for some reason?
That's another possibility. A third possibility is that we could have the capacity, but cannot not just not will not but cannot even though we have the capacity, because we're going to be in the presence of God. And the latter one I use as an illustration. If you go into a room, and there's a single light source in the corner. And you have furniture in different places in the room, you're going to see shadows.
But what if the light emanated from everywhere? Then there's no shadows. Technically Shadows are possible when there's a light source, but if light is everywhere, Those Shadows might exist in some sense, but they can't because they're wiped out by. the light. And I can't help but wonder how Somehow, the glory of God is lighting up our soul such that.
We have the capacity for sinful shadows, but the light blots it out, and we won't. if that makes sense. Yeah, it it it does make sense. you know, kind of how um when the angels came down and they said Savior, not because they were so glorious and powerful and the people were weeping and trying to worship in front of them because they were so compelled. Draw up a four day.
I have to do work. There's a break, man. Hold on, buddy.
Okay, we do all get a break, so we'll hold on, okay. Hey, post you right back after these messages. If you want to give me a call, you can. 877-20722. Seven six.
We'll be right back. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your call at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. All right, welcome back to the show. Let's get back on with Jamal from North Carolina.
Jamal, welcome you back on, buddy. Hey guys.
Alright, um, let's see. I'm sorry, hey, Matt Slick, sorry. Um I'm on the reader's show, gotta be a little bit more professional. All right, um, so. Uh pick up where we left off about being sinless in the ability to sin.
you had mentioned three different possibilities Uh So actually, could you reiterate those really quickly? And I'll try to follow up on that, and I'll try to make my follow-up very quick. One is that we can't. One is that we won't and And um One is that we could but won't.
So, um So they can't. One idea is you can't because you're you're you're changed. And you can't sin.
Okay, that's a possibility. One is you could sin. But you won't.
Okay. And the other is that you could, but you won't because God's glory. I don't know. Uh so you don't. Yeah.
That's all. Yeah, then I'm looking about how people fell down at the feet of angels because they were so glorious in their. I guess their their image imagery, but imagine how much more glorious who who God would be who created the angels.
So I'm not sure about the other two. I think that being in the presence of God, this is my opinion, I could be wrong. I think being in the presence of God We just compel us Uh so much. that we would not want to say. It's like, wow, this is A great being.
This is during the great beings. We know what we lost before. We wouldn't want to do that again. And then that goes into annihilationism. how it's hell is still around.
And that would be maybe in our minds. that would be even more reason not to send if he had that capability. Right. Yeah. So it is good.
Excuse me. It's a discussion that's been had. And we don't know the exact answer. We just don't know.
So I was just presenting logical possibilities, not that they're necessities. But just logically, well, this is a possibility, but you know, one, two, three. And that's it.
So that's what I think. I don't know which one it is. I kind of lean towards the idea we might still have the capacity. but we won't because we're in the presence of God. But I don't know if that's that's it.
Okay. All right, sounds good. I appreciate that. You you um Oh. Willing to say that you're not sure, and I like that humbleness, I like that authenticity.
but you still have enough information to say This is what I believe it is, and this is what scripture says. All right.
Well, I appreciate that as always. And as usual, guys, it'll be a monthly contributor. I am. It doesn't take much. five, ten dollars to keep this resource on the air.
I urge you to do it. He's a good resource. Let's keep him on the air and also expand his ministries.
So thank you, brother. Take care and God bless. Amen. God bless you. Appreciate it, brother.
Remember, come on out and visit. All right?
Okay. He's a good guy. We met when we were out there in North Carolina last year. Let's get to Jesse from North, I mean, from Nevada. Jesse, welcome.
You're on the air. Oh, good afternoon, Matt. Good afternoon.
So what do you got? Yeah. So my question was um Related to the Trinity, I'll provide a little bit of context so that you can maybe better answer my question. Yeah. Um, but more or less like the situation I'm in is I would say the past six months I've been actually like Trying to find truth.
Um you know in general relies on the Bible and stuff. And I tend to be a person that's like very introspective, like a Part of the reason that got me to want to look into the Bible more is I was sort of like meditating. With not really a particular purpose, but just meditating because I had a lot of thoughts, a lot of emotions.
Some of them felt very overwhelming. And that kind of helped me be able to come to a point where I was just more aware of my experience Less reactive. And then and then I was able to start reading the Bible a little bit better and understanding it. But the issue I'm kind of coming across is Like, I just see that there's so many denominations, right? Like, I've spoken to the Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox to.
To the oneness to all these different people. And you know, they all have like very good arguments, like, oh, the Trinity and this, or like, hey, um, is is um uh sane intercession acceptable and then So that's work. It's closer to when Jesus Christ was here, and it's just like so much that it's very difficult for me to just actually choose a path because it's like there's so many opinions, you know, and like everybody has a very strong belief.
So that's basically where I'm at with that.
Okay, I can help you, it's easy. All right.
I'm gonna show you. Uh-huh. All right, so I'm going to let's go to Jesus. Would you trust what Jesus says? Yeah, I found a lot of this, a lot of his teachings are.
Oh um Very practical and they make a lot of sense, yeah.
Alright, so this is what Jesus says in John 5:39. You search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life. It is these that bear witness. of me. That's John 5.39.
In L uh Luke. Uh Excuse me, 44. I meant to say Luke 24, 44. He says that he talked to the disciples about what was written about him in the Old Testament.
Now What the disciples did is they bore witness of Christ. There's lots of statements like this in the Bible. The prophets bear witness of Jesus. Jesus bears witness of himself, the Father does. The disciples do.
Jesus even says, Come to me, all we're heavy laden. All right.
So here's a basic principle. If you're going to check out any group or church, are they pointing you to Jesus primarily, or are they pointing you to something else? Tradition? or church services or church membership as the primary thing. Because the Holy Spirit bears witness of Christ.
The Holy Spirit bears witness of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the one who indwells us. and who works uh through us and in us.
So Jesus says in John 15:26, when the helper comes, it's the Holy Spirit. whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.
So here's this is just the test. This is number one. Are they going to point you to Jesus primarily? or a system Or a church system or a set of traditions, or a set of church fathers. Or are they going to say, Oh, you need Jesus, man?
Look, man, you need to come to Christ. You need a Lord Jesus Christ. But if they say the true church is the Roman Catholic Church, you need to belong to it. See what I'm saying? Yes.
Right. This is how you can discern very quickly. Because Jesus, according to the Bible, is God in flesh. John 1.1, verse 14. Colossians 2.9.
I can go on and on and on. And he says, ask me anything in my name, and I will do it. John 14:14.
So he points to himself. He says, Matt 11, 28, come to me. all were heavy laden. I will give you rest.
So the scriptures are about him. He says so. And you gotta learn From him.
Now we got a break, so hold on, brother, okay? After the break, alright? And we'll get to this some more. We'll tell you some more stuff about those people that are talking to you. other areas.
Just uh be told on Be right back, folks, after these messages. Please stay tuned. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. All right, welcome back to the show.
Let's get back on with Jesse from Nevada, Jesse. Are you still there? Yes. Alright.
So Um I want to know if if what I was saying was uh was making sense. Um To you about this? Does that mean that? Yeah, basically, utter civil you meant about pointing towards Jesus. Obviously, I was kind of trying to have ha see it how, like, practically what that looks like, right?
But yeah, generally, I kind of have an idea of where you're saying. See, Jesus says in Matthew 12:34, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
So that's what's gonna, what's in you is what comes out of you. If you were to talk to Roman Catholics, you'll ask them how to get saved.
Well, this is what you got to do, and they have a list. You've got to be baptized, you've got to take communion.
Well, where do you got to do that? In your church? Yeah, yeah, in your church. This is where salvation is found in their church.
Now if you were to ask me, I'd say I trust in Jesus. Go to Jesus. Jesus has come to me. I said, go to Jesus. It's a humongous difference.
You have to understand That The Spirit of God compared to this of Jesus. The Father bears witness of Jesus. Mary says, listen to Jesus. you know, only re reference the Catholics and Eastern Orthodox.
So that's the that's the number one.
Now, number two is they're going to point you to church fathers. Our church has an unbroken lineage. The church fathers talk about our true church. Really? How do you know which church father?
Because I have written a great deal on this. Researched it, and believe it or not, the church fathers contradict each other in a lot of areas. But they're not going to tell you that. I do, and I say, here's the proof. And I give them the links to my website.
And I say here they agree and here do they disagree. all over the place on all kinds of topics. But they don't tell you that. Because what they want is for you to believe that they are the true church. and they have a lineage and the Church Fathers agree with them.
They have sacred tradition. Because these guys were closer to the apostles. But they don't say go to the word itself and study it. They say, believe what we tell you, and our church tells you that the church fathers tell you to believe.
Well, wait a minute. In Acts 17, 11, Paul the Apostle. was w at Berea. And he was teaching. The Bereans used God's word to see what he was saying was true.
Luke who wrote the book of Acts says, and they were noble-minded. because they checked even what Paul said against God's word.
Furthermore, in 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul wrote this. And this is about tradition.
Okay. Because they'll quote these verses. tradition, this tradition. I always read context. And you know, hold fast to the traditions we gave you.
Well, the context of 2 Thessalonians 2:15 is a tradition about the return of Jesus. not church tradition and all this this stuff. They take verses out of context. And in Second Thessalonians two, something ri really interesting occurs. The Thessalonians were talking to Paul.
Paul was talking to them one on one, mouth to mouth, ear to mouth, right there. He was there with them. And he was telling them. about the return of Jesus. And people are coming in and contradicting that and saying stuff, and they're getting all mixed up.
And Paul writes to them and says, Don't you remember while I was with you? I was telling you these things. And they got it wrong.
Now here's the point. Even the Thessalonians who got it straight from Paul's mouth We're messing up. What makes you think that two, three hundred years later, these guys? are getting it right. that all of these church fathers, two to three hundred years later, are getting it right.
When the Thessalonians Paul was in front of them and they were messing up. This is why you got to study God's Word. Because it's what inspired not the Catholic Church, not the East Orthodox Church, not sacred tradition, not the Church Fathers. Jesus. And another thing Salvation is found in Christ.
By faith in what he did. He died on that cross, rose from the dead. We're to put our faith, our trust in Jesus. But what those two churches teach, is a denial of that. They said you had to do good works.
And mix your good works with what Jesus did on the cross in order to get saved.
Now I can get into this, I can get into it quite a bit. But that's a false gospel. They teach false gospels.
So I say regularly: the Roman Catholic and these Orthodox churches are not Christian churches. They're not. They're fake, false churches. That's what they are. They don't teach the true gospel.
Okay? There's so much I could tell you, but okay? You know, that makes sense. And I think one of the things that didn't really sit right with me was. I had a discussion with a Roman Catholic and the Saint the Saint intercession part never really made a ton of sense to me.
Um, you know, I asked them some difficult questions about, like, you know, why do we need to ask saints to intercede? Like, whenever you know, you can just pray directly to Jesus, and they're like, Oh, he told me because the saints' prayers are stronger than ours. And I'm like, Where does it say that? Good for you. I was like, where does it say that their prayers are stronger?
Like, that just never made sense. And I kept asking him, and I was just like, the answers he was giving me just never sat right. That's why I never really committed to the church because.
So you have discernment. Usually when they'll say something like that, I'll say, oh, yeah, that's found in the book of colonoscopy. You know? It's just, you know, make a joke. You know, it's second Moronicles.
It's ridiculous. It's just not there. Yeah, the saints have better. What? And there's another thing.
You know what they teach about Mary, both of those churches? She can hear millions of prayers. all over the world. all at once, in different languages, spoken in thought, and she can comprehend them all, and she knows the intention of your heart.
So he has to be in your heart to know that. And she knows the will of God for you perfectly, so that she can apply an answer to you, and she can direct the angels. It's insane. All of a sudden she's like a a little goddess to them. It's ridiculous.
They go to Mary. No, you don't need Mary. Go to Jesus. That's what you need. He's guarding flesh.
I appreciate that, Matt. Thank you for breaking that down. Yeah, that's it. This is me after 46 years of doing this. That doesn't mean I'm right.
But may I tell you, I take this so seriously, I do this all the time. I mean, not every second of the day, but I mean, I'm in VR witnessing. I'm on Discord witnessing, TikTok witnessing, Facebook, X. I got it bad. My wife said, You got it bad.
I go, Yeah, I know I got it bad. And I've been doing this so long. That's the simplicity. Are they pointing you to Jesus? or they pointing me to something else.
It's that simple. and they point to something else. They're not of God.
Okay. Understand. Thank you. Can I give you one more recommendation, ma'am? Just one.
All right.
Of course.
So my website, carm.org, C-A-R-M dot O-R-G. I don't know if you've been there or not. Go check it out. I've written about 5,000 articles. And you can put in the subject line of the searching, and you can just read.
And By the way, my real name is Matt Slick. My real name.
So I say to people: don't trust a guy named Slick. Trust God's word.
So read through those articles.
Well, it's true. You know, Reverend Slick says it, so it's true.
So I say, read the word and check whatever I say against God's word. Always compare, especially a guy named Slick, with the Word of God. and see if it's what the scriptures teach.
Okay? It's always. Yeah. All right.
Yes, sir. Thank you. All right, well, God bless. All right, you call back, okay? Give me, call back in a week.
Just let me know how things are going. All right, I want you to do that, okay?
Well tomorrow. All right.
I'm going to be expecting it. But Alright man. Appreciate it, Matt. All right, yeah.
Okay, you too. God bless. All right, now before we get to Carla, I've been waiting a half hour from North Carolina, I just want to say really fast: the debate I was in a couple weeks ago was released last night. And if you want to see it, There's a couple ways to find it on the Carm website. One is you can just go there and Uh type in the search engine, is Jesus God or a prophet?
And it should bring up the debate. And then near the top, I have if you have to watch the debate, go to, and there's a link. And you can check it out, or you can go to the CARM website and just type forward slash debates. Go down to the Islam section, and you'll find it in there. And you can check it out.
All right.
All right, now let's get to Carla from North Carolina. Carla, welcome. You're on the air. Hi, Matt. How are you?
Oh, I'm doing okay by God's grace.
So what do you got? Good.
So, I hope I know I hear this question asked a lot about women getting up in church and And preaching. For lack of a better word.
Now, the church I go to, we do not have female pastors. But we do have female ministers. And when our head pastor takes a break, a much needed break from um pastoring. Oftentimes they'll let the ministers Get up. Preach a sermon.
We got a break. We got a break. So can you hold on? We'll get back to you after the break because this is really important.
Okay? So hold on, all right.
Okay, sorry about the timing of the break, but that's what it is. No problem. All right, we'll be right back, folks. Please stay tuned. Back with Carl of North Carolina.
Be right back after these messages. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. All Rung, welcome back to the show. Let's get back on with Carla.
Are you still there? I am still here. All right, good. Whew, okay, so should a woman get up and do that ministering, preaching thing in a church when the pastor's away, right? Correct.
Yes, she should not do it. That's sinful. It's wrong. It violates Scripture. The men have allowed sin to occur in the church.
The pastor is disqualified because he doesn't know how to discern truth from error by allowing such a thing when he's away.
Okay. I felt that was probably going to be the answer, like um And I've been wondering, should I find a different church? Because Well, I I guess the answer's probably yes. But my pastor is a he he's great. They do preach Christ.
They you know, there's an altar call every service and They're definitely Bible-based. It's it's a good Then how come you can't get it? then how come he doesn't get it right? Paul says He s Paul forbids it. And then he's the uh he's giving instruction to the household of God, 1 Peter 3:15, or 1 Timothy 3:15.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah. What what about the role of uh Is there such thing as a deaconess? Is that something that scripture allows? Yes and no, depending on how it is.
In in the Bible, a deacon is, as you can find it, it's in, I believe it's in Titus or it's in First Timothy 3. And let me see.
Now it's in 1 Timothy 3. I'm going to read it to you, okay? What it says. Not just what I say, but what does the Word of God say? And this is what it says right here.
Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued or drinking much wine. etcetera. Who says Deacons must be husbands of only one wife. You know, the problem with the scriptures is it's not convenient. You know?
Well, that settles there. It does settle it. And I've talked to so many people, and this is what I've done over. I've been in radio for 23 years, and five days a week for 21 years. And here, I'll do it again right now.
I'll offer. I will fly my weap myself out. I'll pay my own way. to get out to your church to have a public debate on does the Bible support women, pastors, and elders. And we have it filmed at their church, and we each get to do what we want with the with the videos as long as they're not edited and made you know.
And in 21 years of me saying this, not a single person, church, has accepted not once. And because absolutely.
So, what these people are doing, let me tell you, I've done a lot of research on this, and I can stand up for an hour. And go through why this is so significant. I can do this from memory. On a pulpit, I can do this. I've been doing this for so long.
This is so important. It's not me hating on women. It's what does God's word say? That's what it says. Women are not to teach or exercise authority over men, and this is the church context.
but remain silent, for Adam was first created. It's not cultural. It's based on the word of God, on the created order. And the issue is: why is it so important? It's because it's Hasdooth was called Federal Headship and Prima Janitor.
and authority. And I get into this with the Trinity, the Incarnation, down into marriage, even, and into the pulpit. And ABC Excuse me, a little hiccups there. Eighty percent of the churches and denominations that adopt women pastors and elders within two generations start approving of homosexuality.
Okay, I've heard you say that before, which is frightening. Yes, it is frightening. Yeah. I don't understand why people won't. to submit.
Well, you know, Phoebe What about Phoebe? What about Deborah? And uh well There's this thing called context. Read the context. Let's see what it says.
And I've written on these things. And uh like I said, no one's accepted my challenge. And I'll tell you: if they do, if anyone does, they'll fly out there. Oh, I'm going to hit it hard. Politely and lovely.
I know you are. Yeah. This is an important issue.
Well, for age. Not only, and I'm going to say this too, to kind of balance this out. Women should not be doing that, but men need to stand up and. Require biblical fidelity in the church, not sit there passively on their hands. wussified and allowing these kinds of things to occur.
They need to stand up lovingly with their manly strength and say, no, we don't allow this because we believe the word of God is true. And it's not happening in the churches, not as much as we need, okay? Yeah, and I almost feel guilty to a point for sitting in the congregation and watching because I'm like, this is Just I mean, it's disobedience, really. Yep, it is.
Now you could go to my website and you could look up women pastors. And you'll see various articles, and there's actually something I have that's designed to be printed up and handed to them. It's two pages. Detective let me show you that right now, because if we moved the website to a new system, a new everything. Let's see what happens.
Women pastors. Hit enter. And Tract on women pastors comes up. Tract. And uh okay.
And it's just it's meant to be brief. And challenging at the same time, you can print it up and say, here you go. And this is back in 2009. February 8, 2009 when I wrote this. I'm still waiting for someone to accept a challenge.
Yeah. Okay. I will do that. I will look that up and look it over and if I get the gall, I will Hand it to them. Pass it along.
Hand it to them. To the elders. Say, why are you doing this? And 1 Peter 3:15 says, Give an answer to the reason of the faith that lies within you. They're obligated to answer you.
Okay. So the title doesn't matter. Minister versus Pastor. It's not the title, it's the fact of a a woman having authority over a man at that time. In the pur in the pulpit.
The pulpit is a place of authority by definition. If a woman gets up and preaches a sermon, she is now replacing that pastor. She's in that position of authority, teaching authority over men of the church. That's not to occur. She can teach other women, and that's fine, but she's not to be called a pastor or minister.
And one of the reasons is because people won't know the difference. They go to move to another state, and then they say, Well, there was a pastor, minister, woman at the old church. And look, this church on the corner, the church of what's happening now, has a woman pastor.
So I guess it's okay. I see.
Okay. Perfect tense.
Alright.
There you go. Thank you so much for taking my call. And I just want to say thank you. I've learned so much from listening to you, and I really appreciate it and look forward to it.
So, God bless you and keep up the great work.
Well, praise God. He deserves all the glory for using a moron-broken vessel for his glory.
Okay. Amen. Amen. That's right. All right, sister.
God bless. All right.
How about actually amen? Did I have a moron? And I'm totally going to kick out of that because it's true. I wonder how many people in the uh in the chat over there and um rumbling to say amen. But it's true.
Oh, God is so good, isn't he? All right, Joseph from LA. Hey, Joseph, welcome. You're on the air. Hey, Matt, this is Joseph in LA, Louisiana.
Oh, Louisiana.
Sorry. I'm so used to being in Southern California. LA just means Louisiana to me.
Sorry. In Louisiana.
Okay, so what do you got?
Well, I heard you were in Texas, and which side of that debate were you on? Was Jesus a prophet or God?
Well, he's both, but in the context of the debate, it was against a Muslim, he's only a prophet. Is what it meant, or God. It's just, you know, some, okay? And I was of course seeing he's got him flush. Yeah.
Well, I was I told to ask you something about in Acts. The the book of Acts. Yeah. Have you got a second to look there? Yes, I'm looking right now.
Yes. All right, in in Acts chapter seven. Yeah. Uh Stephen, you know, was uh Getting stalled, right? Yes, uh-huh.
And then It's this. Uh He was Looking into heaven, and he saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God, right? Yes. Well, I ain't figured out how Jesus is God. Yeah.
It's a vision, and what he's seeing is the person of Jesus standing at the right hand of God, on the right side, of the glory of God. Because it says right there, it says in verse 56 that he was standing on the right hand of God. And he cried out with a loud voice, etc. Um And he says, I'm reading through. And it says That he saw the glory of God is what's going on right hand.
And so. That's it, but the Bible also says Jesus is God in Hebrews 1.6. But of the throne of the Son, he says, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever. Jesus is called God. John 1:1 and verse 14, the Word was God, Word became flesh.
Okay. Well Jesus said his father granted him a kingdom. Yes, because Jesus is made under the law and for a little while lower than the angels. Hebrews 11. of two nine.
You don't believe all of Scripture. You submit Scripture to what you want. and your false teaching. You've been doing this for a long time.
Well, I I don't think God was born.
Well, what does the Bible say? And the word became flesh. The word was God, John 1:1, and verse 14, the word became flesh. There you go. But that don't that don't say God was born, though.
Well, how did he become flesh when it says that he was of the Virgin Mary? Which is mother.
Well, God was still in heaven when John baptized Jesus because he spoke from heaven, man. Yes, and you're presupposing Unitarian thought. Your your error is to presuppose that God is a simple uh single person That's not what the scripture teaches.
So you assume Unitarianism, it's called begging the question, and it's called an external critique. You're judging the scripture based on an assumption that you have external to the scriptures, and judging the scriptures based on your opinion on something.
Well, you could be right about that.
Well, have you seen an apostle yet? Have I seen one? No.
Well, but don't be surprised when one shows up here.
Okay, uh if anybody claims to be an apostle. And shows up at my door, or we meet someplace. I'm going to say, please show me in the Bible present-day apostles. Are possible and then demonstrate your apostolic authority. the way it was given to the disciples in Matthew 10.
to be able to raise the dead. Sure, selected. That'd be a good idea. That'd be a good idea. Thank you, man.
I'll talk to you later.
Okay. Thank you. All right.
Yes, he and I have had many conversations over the years, folks. There's nobody waiting right now. I just want to let you know that we stay on the air. We've got less than a minute, so I'm going to just get through this. We stay on the air by your support.

And we ask five, ten, fifteen, twenty dollars a month. That's all.
And you can go in there later and cancel it if you want or whatever you want to do. Or do a one time donation. And uh that's it. We're not asking for a lot, just asking for a lot of littles. to make a big lot so that we can pay pay the bills.
And I just want to say that.
