Here is my take on number one back in February there was a draft of an executive order potential Executive Order. Religiously that was circulated and that draft was excellent and one of the biggest issues that's coming up in our society. Like it or not, is that this conflicts conflict between cold gay-rights and religious rights.

Recess a quote gay rights as is because it's not a right of a couple to walk into a baker and they have the constitutional right that that baker has to bake the cake.

They ask for is no constitutional right for that. So if for example a Christian pastor walks into a gay owned cake shop and says hey we are having a celebration of marriage. Next weekend, and when were making all these little wedding cakes are for couples were to send them home was a gifted want to say marriage one man one woman for life and they see you know that that's offensive to us were gay and we that's offensive messaged us we don't want to bake a cake. They don't have to. They will have to that the pastor going in there, has no right constitutional right for them to bake a cake for him, and they certainly have the right to say you know we we decline it up. We accept that but when it goes the other way the Christian does not have the right to say you know I'm sorry but I I can good conscience make a wedding cake for Billy and Bobby. You may love each other and be great friends and and all that good neighbors and phenomena observed in the past but when it comes to bake a cake that declares us out. I can't do that if you swung by cake for me. But of course your customer that's fine and they have the right to do that although it's been so twisted that you could lose your job and people have lost the companies that lost their livelihoods because this is a good conscience, we can do this.

So the Executive Order that was circulated in February the draft was excellent and covered things like this is your average person in the conscience of your average person being protected religious convictions being protected in that respect. In that sense it was a real disappointment. That's really not the issue.

The issue is that pastors tend not to address cultural issues often because of the conflict to come.

Not so much the politics it's the culture that's that's positive the Executive Order itself is deeply flawed, but it's still very positive that the president United States uses bully pulpit bully pulpit for this cause but again on on the flipside, it does address the Johnson amendment without.

That's not been the big problem. Who could argue with a prayer like that claims be a believer. God make him like your son bring him to yourself.

And Lord, show me anything displeasing in my own life. Pray for both the Lord make us the couple you called us to be. If he does claim to be a believer if he is in a local church and go to the church together say to him what I'd like us to get pastoral counseling I believe we need pastoral counseling. If he refuses, but you say that he's acting abusively in these different ways and I would make an appointment and asked to speak with your pastor or home group leader. Whatever the setting is that you that you have there okay and I would I would approach it like that I would then go and say the can you help us going through difficult, like counseling, my husband want they can call him and see and if in fact he is acting in this abusively can be called to account and he's either going to repent and get right with God and get help or he's I could be welcome there.

My daughter and I were both baptized together at our local church 2009. That was the happiest day of my life. We both had been through so many happy and sad times as a sibling separated from her mother. When my daughter was five years old. This led to my daughter self harming an attempt on her life when she finished university after being in an abusive relationship. After this relationship ended.

She told me that she was a lesbian. I was now a same-sex relationship.

I've been doing my best to maintain our father and daughter relationship as well as try my best to be faithful to God is his word and his word regarding sexual sin maintain that same-sex relationships of sinful anyone practice. It's such a relationship, but into the kingdom of God.

It seems that all my efforts been in vain. If you since marriage for same-sex partner announced her faith since undergoing psychological counseling. I would a loss as to how to reach out to her now, apart from loving her as only a father can we now agree to disagree and that we now have different worldviews. The problem is that she wants me to meet her in-laws and I'm struggling with this is I do not believe in same-sex marriage but believe what the Bible teaches that marriage is between a man and a woman. So I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place. She expects me to recognize your marriage is equal to any of the marriage.

So I feel by meeting her in-laws will be an endorsement on my part of her marriage if I refuse to meet them or meet them explain how I see things I will damage in a really fragile relationship with my daughter. I hope this makes some sense that may be able to give some clarity on the problems I'm faced with my my dear dear brother, that your daughter and is the father of two children, two daughters, and now with two granddaughters and two grandsons. But if she comes back to Jesus than she can really rediscover God's truth and goodness, and of course break away from a wrong relationship and hopefully lead her present partner or present put spouse beat her to the Lord as well, so whatever you can do to keep the relationship going. Obviously you do it and you pray with her for her with a broken heart, the prayers of the father, the prayers of her mother incredibly effective and have brought many a child back to God and we had some call into this radio show and say you talk to my mother years ago and you counsel not to give up praying for me. I was on drugs I was doing this I was I was in the same-sex relationship. I was sleeping out of the guys. Whatever was in you you you you told my mom.

And can you accept my love for your partners. Well I'm happy to meet the in-laws but I and I'm not going to go.

The exact same way that the Levites lay their hands on the animals that the animals were sacrificed toward the people lay their hands on the Levites in the Levites are given metaphorically as a wave offering and I physically lifted up and waved before the Lord. But there given as a wave offering so their consecration takes the place of the people in the animal sacrifice takes their place.

So it's it's really quite fascinating. It's a great example of priest functioning and in the substitutionary way yet what will that way because thank you so much for I will be read by an angry Grammy. Before electricity and things like that would be much more prone to go to sleep early, getting up early. But first thing first spend quality time with God putting us first first things first, and what comes first is getting with God and the Word and prayer that has never worked for me on a personal level.

I've done most of my serious praying and seeking later in the day off and at night often at night, often into the early hours of the morning so when I'm really productive what I'm writing and thriving and really productive.

I'm going to bed at three or four in the morning right and I'm consumed on site in all midnight, I think I'm just going to come chill Amanda's now I can write. I got a right of bird to get this out on consumerist that I began to pray again to get hold of God's wisdom in the situation so that's been my pattern and just stay with it every day stay would try to get Sabbath rest and and slow down in that respect. And of course your quality family time and everything but I'm just going all the time. Flying to Phoenix last night am working on an article get to the hotel finish writing the article. Get that out proofreading a manuscript working on that studying this issue. Need to get alone with God really seek him in prayer. So there's a holy drive in the and in that respect I'm going going going to go to sleep really late in the not get up early till mid morning. I am so I don't have the same schedule every day. I think it's best to do that. I think it's best to have the same schedule every day pretty much through the week.
