Now, live from the Truth Booth, your host, Robbie Dilmore. Have fun today on Kingdom Pursuits. I think you're gonna be so glad you tuned in because we're gonna get some triage going on. Healing Mental and Spiritual Roots of Triage with author Denise Rentin. And we also have Dr.

KC, Apostle KC, his new song, I'm a Miracle. And we're going to be sharing that in a little bit. But welcome, Denise. I guess I gotta click on your thing to make it work. Denise, are you there with?

Yeah. I am. Thank you for having me. Good morning. Good morning.

For people that aren't familiar with your book, you know, can you give us kind of an overview real quick? I sure will.

So I think sometimes people do get caught up on the title triage and So I can have just a moment with that one. It is originally a French word, which just means to sort and was used to sort produce based on quality. During wartime, of course, it it transitioned over to sorting um wounded based on their Mates. And for the purposes of this book, it is about triaging Our wounds Uh both spiritual and mental wounds. To heal so that we can rise up and be everything that God wanted us to be.

That's wonderful. That's wonderful. And again, as I mentioned, and for those who are listening to the Christian Cargai Show, we have. Dr. Casey.

Oh, well, this is Robbie, and you're there with us, but I was talking to Casey. Can you still hear me? You're crackling up on me for some reason, and I promise I'm not. I'm going to put you on hold and let the producer talk to you just a second because we're on the air.

So. Um Again, Dr. Casey, Dr. Curry, he's got this new song out, which actually we're going to be the very first people to get a chance to play that song. And it's called I'm a Miracle.

And the story behind this, Dr. Curry, is amazing, right? Absolutely. When I thought of this song, I first had the vision for the song back in uh 2019. Uh I had a female vocalist to uh do the uh Vocal uh recording because at that particular time I was having uh dental surgery done, and so we went ahead with that.

But I want to come back and uh on August of this year, we were able to uh get The song released and it had my male vocal, so I'm sure it's going to bless a lot of people. It was written for a lot of people that have suffered with cancer and many things. And, you know, as you'll listen to the words, you'll see what I'm talking about. It's written just for you, and I hope it will be a blessing to everyone. Yeah, and so we're very good.

We're going to be using that during the bump in, and we'll play a little extra of that here in a minute. Also, um Casey, can you explain for our listeners a little bit of what it is that you do?

Well, now I serve as one of the senior apostolic leaders of my Reformation New Horizons Christian Ministries International. I have a lot, many churches that are here nationally, and then we have some that are in Kenya and parts of Africa. I have several elders there, but also have worked for many years with the program, the Presidential Volunteer Service Award program, which helps us to go throughout the nation and present to deserving individuals the President's Lifetime Achievement Awards. I think in the break, I'd mentioned some of the people that I was able to award, like Barry Manlow. Barry Manelow, Frankie Beverly, before he passed away, and some of the great artists over the years that I've been exposed to.

But I still continue to work with my seniors' ministry. I think we were doing that the last time I was on. That was a few years back. But I still love to go in and minister to my seniors every chance I get. Yeah, and I love that too because you know I actually assisted living in one nursing home that I go to every week and share my jokes and stuff like that.

And it is an absolute blast, isn't it? Absolutely. They bless you more than you bless them. You know, you go in and listen to their stories, especially me being a disabled veteran and getting to sit down with the old veterans and they're telling their stories. You know, it's really great.

Oh, it is. It is. And and So it's really cool how God gives you all these different opportunities, and then actually to have this song. Um And and so how about the musical aspect of it? Where did that come from?

Well, the music was put together and I was grateful to work with a great gentleman by the name of Elder Luther Baker. He's out of Baltimore. And so I drove about five and a half hours to get up to the studio there. Cockiesville, and that's where we recorded. But he was able to put the music together.

And once you hear it, you'll see all the work that he went in, that he put in together.

So, can you play us a little episode of that, Nick? Is that possible for us? And after all the things that I've been through, People told me they I couldn't do Uh I'm America. And so it looks like we have Denise back with us.

So hopefully, Denise, are you hearing us better now? Tadis, are you with us?

Sometimes we have struggles with our phone system, and this might be the day. I'm sorry.

So. Nonetheless, Um That miracle story, you said you were a veteran. Thank you for your service by all means. But it sounds like there's a bit of a miracle in there.

Well, the biggest miracle and I also have a book that I'm I'm going to be well, I've got it with my editor right now. And the book is going to be entitled When I Became Job, When nobody hears you but God. And it tells my story. People look at me today and don't know I was a homeless. Disabled military veteran.

I was only living on $129 a month. But, you know, God blessed me to get my Bachelor of Theology, Master of Divinity, Doctorate of Divinity, and PhD, and two. Uh Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards. Yeah, that's some that's Like, whoa, yeah, you are a miracle.

So, when you said, what happened in the service that you became disabled?

Well, it it I went through a very difficult time. I was living up in Washington DC and, you know, I was struggling too with uh post traumatic stress disorder and things like that. I mean that's what I mean. What happened actually in the military? What was the Well, just, you know, it was a very traumatic situation that happened while I was in Korea.

Were you in the Korean? No, no, no, no, no. Not that old yet. But, you know, the things that I dealt with at that time became very stressful. And then, you know, as you come back into civilian life, Uh you know, there were things that were broken, uh, you know, as far as mentally.

And, you know, I was struggling to try to transition back. And so I think that's one of the things that really causes the problem. You know, it caused a lot of things that happen, which uh went through a very Difficult divorce and things like that. But, you know, uh Like Job, I was able to fall back. On.

What I'd known from the very beginning, and that was the word of God that sustained me. There we go.

Well, we think we got Denise in line here, and we got some riddles coming at us, and of course, we got a whole lot more with. Um Dr. Curry, and we'll be right back. Stay tuned. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits where we hear how God takes your passion. And uses it to build the kingdom.

So blessed today to have with us Denise Rankin. She's the author of Triage, Healing Mental and Spiritual Roots, and Dr. KC. Uh h with his new song, I'm a Miracle, which uh We heard a little extra to that. We're going to hear it again in some of the bumps that we hear.

But, you know, speaking of miracles, we're going to do a little riddling here. And so speaking of miracles. Right? And it's a good time. to see how Denise is doing.

So You haven't done this before, Denise, so we're going to find out if you can hear the riddles. And see how you do before we get to... Your book.

So Okay. With that in mind. You see what you can answer here. Oh no.

So what was the miracle of the blind Carpenter. If you got any ideas on that, Dr. Curry? What was the miracle of the blind Carpenter. He got the square footage right.

That would be a miracle. That would be. You got any ideas, Denise? I is this is this the same one that got mud on his eyes? Oh, that would be that's even bigger miracle.

But in this case He picked up his hammer and saw. Oh my goodness, that is so funny. Yeah. There you go.

Alright, so what happens to printers? That performs miracles. What happens to printers? that perform miracles. What do you think, Nick?

You can see the picture clearly. That's true. That's true, Dr. Shaw. I'm Dr.

Curry. Any idea on what happens to printers that perform miracles? Oh my goodness. Ah, they get cannonized. That one is a twister.

They get cannonized. Oh my God. Uh And last but not least, and I'm thinking you can get this one. At least these are the regular shenanigans. We'll get to the actual Bible riddle here in a second.

So. What was the butcher's the butcher? What was his first miracle? What was the butcher's first miracle? Staying on the beat.

Beef. Mm-hmm. What do you think? Any ideas? Everybody's looking glass eyed on this one.

Oh yeah. He he cured a ham. Yeah. And that means there may be hope for me yet if a butcher got near me. I can cure me of my hammock.

Nonetheless, you knew at the end of those shenanigans we would actually have a Bible riddle that you could call in and win today. Yes. And so with that in mind... Right? If you can answer this, boy, you get you get Hear what's gonna you're gonna win here in a second.

You're gonna call us at 866-348-7884, and you can tell us in which of Jesus' miracles was Peter not. In denial. Yeah. And again, don't answer this one, Denise, or you know, because this is for the listeners to call it and win. In which of Jesus's miracles?

Was Peter not, he wasn't in denial. Yeah. In more ways than one. Three, four, eight. 7884-86634 Truth in which of Jesus's miracles was Peter not in denial.

And if you can answer that, Nick. Tell them what they'll win. Absolutely. Yes, you'll be winning a prize from our Kingdom Pursuits Prizeball. If you know the answer to Robbie's riddles, give us a call at 866-348-7884-866-342 with prizes.

spewing out. We have books. Oh, do we have books? Do we have back scratchers? We have the official Kingdom Pursuits back scratcher, which is a gospel back scratcher.

It has all the beads on it, so you can share Jesus while you're scratching somebody's back. It's got the red one for Jesus' blood and the white one. And then. Is it called NAR? What's it called?

Narcan. Narcan. Yes. Yes. If you have a need for that, it was given to us from one of our many ministries that works with people that might be overdosing.

And so if you want to have some of that on hand, I think we still have one. Narcam left. If you can tell us in which of Jesus' miracles was Peter not? He wasn't. In denial, eight six six three four eight seven eight eight four.

So Denise. Yes, sir. I love the idea of This Healing mental and spiritual roots. And You used the word roots on purpose, I'm assuming. I did, I did.

I envision and have for many years now, because part of this story, of course. is it's in memoir form but it's also brings in kind of some of the psychological aspects Just to kind of help identify issues that need to be dropped at the throne of God. But the the Question of writing this came from My husband and ours. testimony. which uh can be very jurisprudent.

By the way, oh, yeah, I understand. Yeah, there's yeah, there's a reason why churches have us from all over the country to come share testimony, and that is because we have divorced each other twice and married each other three times. And that is very, Jerry Springer or Jesus just depends on where your heart is, right? But we know how to run marriage with the world's ways, and we know how to run marriage on our knees, and we're very grateful for that.

So This book is meant predominantly out of my passion for women that I have mentored for 35 years. It was also driven by the women who come up to stage. after our testimony with tears. just really wanting solutions. their marriage.

But the the The thing that I have found so missing in today's time is And I'm a huge proponent for psychological help. I truly am. The national statistics back in 2022 was that. Almost 54% of women were seeking some sort of mental health care. And And that was just an affirmation for me from God because Those women are going to find health.

help some way. And to offer them something that so brings God back into the mix of that and the power of the Holy Spirit. and and everything that God has afforded us Triage is my attempt to marry those two. It Certainly mirrors my path of mental health recovery from the abuse that I went through. And so that is my hope and my heart.

is that Women will take a look at the menu. Take just a step. Just take a step. towards God's solution. For for issues.

Right. And and from what I understand Not only did you write the book, but you speak at a lot of women's conferences too, right? Which, by the way, if you go to kingdompursuits.com, you're going to see her. book, et cetera, et cetera. But you you do a lot of speaking as well, right?

I do. I do. I speak at women's retreats, conferences. My husband and I share testimony across the country. We just, I think we, at this point, we just both.

I sit in amazement daily. and what God has done in my life.

So it's almost like Dr. Curry, you're a miracle. Only in his case, right? Oh, absolutely. And it's interesting, and I bet you, Dr.

Curry, that word root. Means something to you as well, right?

Well, it it means a lot to me because um I think that's one of the main things that helped me. Uh You know The Bible teaches that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, and so. As I grew You know, I never lost that passion that I had with the Word of God. And so that kept me rooted and grounded, even when there was chaos all around. You know, you still have a foundation that you started with.

So as long as you are founded on that rock. Yeah, or in this case is rooted, because you think of Isaiah 11, right? It says out of the stump. Yeah. In other words, the things get cut down, but if they're still rooted, In Christ, right?

And so you got good spiritual roots, but then sometimes we got bad ones, right, Denise?

Well, we do, and the fruit of that is the evidence, and too often people try to deal with the fruit of you know, I'm angry or there's substance or something else is going on. But that's just the fruit. And to get to the root of it, what what we we share because we also mentor married couples too but i've mentored women for those thirty-five years Is that when we have a relationship with God and the Holy Spirit is in us? Then, when something shakes us, it shakes him too. It shakes everything connected.

to our roots.

So it shakes our marriages, it shakes our children, it shakes our friends. And As our roots heal, then that vertical relationship with God just becomes stronger and stronger. And the tree doesn't it doesn't break. It's able to bend with life's things instead of just breaking and falling apart. And so our fruit of that tree is is absolutely dependent on the condition of our roots.

and where those are. and to just to be anchored in God's Word and everything that that provides for us. No, it's beautiful. And so You know, if somebody was considering, again, the book is triage: healing mental and spiritual roots. You know, is God Obviously put it on your heart to write this.

What did he teach you along the way that you didn't see coming, but you can hardly wait for somebody to read. Mm.

Well, that's a good question.

So I think Um, there's there's so many uh so many things that he has Just been so kind to show me, and as actually he has me on another journey right now, where I tell people it's kind of like peeling a layer of an onion, where he's showing me.

something else that I need to surrender so that I can press into him more. But I think one of the The There are two, if I can share both of them. I began a s what I consider a serious walk with God. And that was. Denise, I hate to jump in on you, but unfortunately, we have.

To go to a break.

So we got two. That we're gonna um and so hold those.

Okay. Because I definitely want to hear them. We got time in the next segment. And we also got. Gina Miller coming up, and if you think you know, you know, of course.

In which of Jesus' miracles was Peter not in denial? You call us 866-348. You're listening to The Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Thank you. Thank God for miracles because miracles can happen when we pray.

Thank God for miracles because I'm a miracle standing here today. Apostle KC in his new song, I'm a Miracle. How cool is that? And you can find that on YouTube, all sorts of different streaming places, right? Casey?

Oh yes. You have Spotify, Amazon Music, iHeart, iTunes. It's on about twenty-three different streams.

So excited today to have. Casey with us, yes. And we have Denise Rankin with her book, Triage, Healing, Mental and Spiritual Roots. And we're going to get to her two stories that that God showed her in a second. But next we got Gina Miller.

who's got an event she wants to share.

So Gina, you're on Kingdom Pursuits. Hi, good morning. I really appreciate you guys letting us Come on and share our great Information about the Joy Prom. I think most of the people in the community, I hope, and our population know about the Joy Prom. It's actually We try to make it where We have a world here in our community that regardless of their abilities, Um They're included and accepted.

And at this Joy Prom, we host it. over at the Das Stadium Dash Stadium, excuse me. And it will be November 1st. And we need volunteers and donations bad. Volunteers more than anything.

We just have so many that we never turn anybody down.

So in our community, We have Right now we have probably about 350 registered. But with each of those, we need people to work for a lot of people to walk around and be friends with them, dance with them. If I hadn't helped you, Gina to jump in on you a little bit.

Okay. Um It's a lot of fun. What the Joy Prom was, but the Joy Prom, what it is, and it's a spectacular event, by the way, and you're going to be so blessed if you volunteer. It's a lot of adults with special needs, some that are teenagers, but they didn't get to do a prom when they were in high school and that kind of thing.

So it's a dance. And you want to see some fun, especially. I don't know. I can think of several of my students. Ryan, I can see them all with the biggest smile you ever saw in your life as they get a chance to have a prom and dance and those kind of things.

And so, what Gene is asking for is people that would volunteer to work at the event and people that would. help sponsor it. Because it's not an inexpensive thing, if you imagine it, where they're having it at the Dash Stadium.

So if you're done living with New Salem, you don't know where the Dash Stadium is, or you don't know what it is. But it's our baseball stadium here. If you happen to be in Dayton, Ohio, or whatever, I'll bet you got a joy prom in your area. If you're in Raleigh or something like that, you may want to come join us at our joy prom here. The Dash Stadium, again, is a big old baseball stadium.

So, you guys doing that is obviously going to be a fairly expensive event. But there you go, Gina. I wanted to just give them a little more detail for they didn't know.

Well, I'm glad I, well, you know, when I knew I was going to talk to you, I knew that you had been involved in this population and that you probably would know exactly what I was talking about. But like I said, it's something that these individuals, and they are adults. Um Some of them don't see each other, but once a year, and this would be it because we have people come from all around.

So, what I'd like to do is if I can, whenever I get a chance, I'll leave my name and number there at the station, my contact information, and maybe we could put it on your website, or they could just call. What would be the best way to handle that? Easy call me. I know you, Gino. I have your contact information.

But people know my name is Robbie Dilmore. And if you find my contact information easily, the Truthnetwork.com or on my website, Christian Cargai.com, and away we go. We'll get them connected to you. And you can shoot them my way. Thank you, James.

Thanks, guys. God bless. God bless. Yeah. Alright, so as promised, we gotta go back to our hero Denise and...

Get back to your story. I have to tell you just for a moment, it warms my heart the way so many people have different ways that they serve God.

So, God bless them all.

So, when I was 31, God got my attention, and we had moved, we had transferred 1,300 miles away from family and friends, and there's no cell phone or email because dinosaurs are roaming the earth in 1985, right? And so, I Stages. I know exactly.

Something is warm running around. And That isolation, that removal was God's gift to me. And that surprised me. He asked me, and your listeners will be glad to know it was not an audible voice, but the Holy Spirit just pressed into my heart. Denise, what does it mean to call yourself a daughter of God?

What is this supposed to mean? And that began the journey of my triage. And that began the search to try to shed myself of things that my alcoholic and heroin addicted father had done. and other relatives and people in charge of me and My mother was permanently in a wheelchair at 27, and that sent my life into a tailspin. All these things.

That led to terrible adult decisions, and then I was there, married to a man that I loved. But with a serial adulterer. And what am I going to do with that? And I couldn't do anything about that, but I could do something about me. And I could let God come in and heal and change my heart.

And that was a huge movement. And then one of the other significance that came years later in that journey uh probably three or four, I I don't know. But was him pressing into me Because y when you run these journeys um that are just deep, long valleys. Then Satan just tries to work his way through, and he's pretty good at it, right? Because he's the great liar.

But God pressed on me that every single internal dialogue, none of it was coming from me, it was either of Satan or Satan it was of God. And then I needed to stop and filter that and recognize who it was. Whereas Satan would come in and tell me things will never change. This is the way it is. you know you're you're less than you're not worthy of a decent relationship all of those messaging that we get from Satan that just can spiral us down.

And to recognize that that internal dialogue, those type of things would never come from God. that he loves us, we are perfectly made. that he wants only the best stars. And that was a real help for me in sorting things out.

So, God has provided a lot of.

So, I know Dr. Curry, to jump in there, is like, man. I know you got a verse that's just screaming at you, right? About take captive, right? Absolutely.

Listen, I was just intrigued by what you were saying because when we look at the desert experience that Christ had. And it said the Spirit led him into that wilderness to be tempted. And sometimes we're in that place of isolation. Family can't get to you, friends can't get to you, but the only one you have in that isolated spot is God.

Now, the enemy, He's going to talk to you. And he quoted scriptures and everything else to tell you why you couldn't succeed. But The enemy can only go so far, he'll get you to the place and then he'll leave you. where he brought you to. But that's when it says immediately The angels ministered unto Christ.

And so Christ came to your rescue. He brought you through situations. As I was telling Robbie, people look at me today and they see all the things that I've done. Through the White House and all these different places I've been, but they don't know I was a homeless, disabled military veteran. I was only living on $129 a month.

But God gave me a vision. And I pursued that vision. Because I I saw my setbacks as a way to come back. And I heard one pastor say that just like the arrow, You have to pull it back to shoot it further. And so, God is able to shoot you over some things that would have hindered you.

You went through your valleys and all of that. But, guess what? yea, though I walk through the valley, Thou art with me. And that's what has helped us both get through. I don't love it.

That's a miracle. I'm thinking. Or you're a miracle. You both are.

So we've got to go to another break. We would love to hear from you if you think you know in which of Jesus is a miracle Peter was not in denial. We still have that open at 866-4666. 348-7884. If you've been wanting that gospel backstretcher, this is your chance.

We got one more segment. We'll be right back. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Kingdom Pursuits, where we hear how God takes your passion. And uses it to build the kingdom.

So blessed today to have with us Apostle KC. That's the way you'll find his stuff on YouTube, etc. Is I'm a Miracle, that song. He's got a whole channel there. And again, it's under Apostle KC.

And we have Denise Renten, and she's the author of Triage. Healing mental and spiritual roots. And so, this is the last segment. It's kind of a short segment.

So I'll start out with you, Casey, and then I'm going to ask you, Denise, the same question.

So when you came on the show, you knew you were coming on the show. What was one thing that you wanted to make sure you got to mention today that you haven't had a chance to?

Well, I just wanted people to know that, you know, the Miracle Song is written because I saw so many people with cancer and things like that. And, you know, I saw. women You know, they had lost their hair and people would laugh at them. And, you know, the words to the song was. when I look into the mirror glass and think of all the things that were in my past, I'm a miracle.

After all my friends made fun of me they criticized and laughed at me. I'm a miracle. I hope everybody would listen in and go get your miracle. Yeah, they're out there. And that's absolutely, absolutely wonderful.

And Denise, how about you? What's something you want to make sure you got said today? I think for me, it's what I always tell women the very first time we meet when I'm mentoring them. There has never been anyone born. There will never be anyone born.

that God loves more than He loves you. He wants to reach out and carry you through whatever valley you're in. Maybe it's something easy. But So don't compare your valley to somebody else's. It doesn't have to be a deep, hard valley.

God to care about it. But he loves you right where you are.

So I would encourage you to start that journey. The books triage can be found any place where they're selling online books. Amazon seems to be the biggest trigger for that. If you're a church and you're wanting these in bulk, then at the very back of my book is a QR code for the publisher and you can get some bulk prices on them. The audio is going to release Any day.

We finished it yesterday. It's just a question of getting it distributed. And so I'm excited about that. Um And just know that That I love you. I love you with a heart of cry.

And I would like to say, Robbie, if I can, if I can gift you some books for later contests. I would love to do that. You'll have to give me your address. Oh, yeah, we'll get Nick to do that when we get off. But I'll also mention that when it comes to, if you've written a book, if you've written a book and it's published in any way, shape, or form.

Um Amazon will will Do the audio for free. I've helped two or three authors get that done, and you just they're very, very, very, very picky about the quality of the audio as far as it has to meet certain standards from somebody that knows audio. In order to make it happen. But once you meet all their, you know, it's got to be the right decibels and all this stuff. Once you meet all that stuff, then oh man, they do it and then they give you the royalties.

And so j you know, it's really cool how easy that kind of thing is today. And you got a book coming, don't you, Doc? Oh, yes. My my book will be entitled When I Became Job. when nobody hears you but God.

Yeah, and you can hear that too, because what a story. You both. Again, all of it there I love what you said. Uh Denise. That that nobody, nobody.

Um Uh God doesn't love anybody more than he loves you the moment you were born. He he You know, you think about it. I was thinking about this the other day, it's really cool. The Eve is my mother. Big time.

Like she's up there Right now, because I'm her great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great. And just like you would care about your great, great, great, great, great, great, great well, she cares about me, and Adam does too. And we were inside Adam and Eve, and God knew that before the beginning of the world. Right? And not only does God love you, but I assure you, all of those relatives, this cloud of witnesses, is sitting there.

You know, like it said that in Jeremiah that the Rachel is heard in Ramah that she's weeping for her children. Right, and if you're grafted into Israel, I can assure you that it's really a picture of how much God loves you. that there are so many people out there and he made you. You were designed. Two hear from him, to hear his word, to dig down and deep into it like you both did, to find his love in his word.

It's really, really cool stuff. I know you feel that way, Dr. Curry, right? Oh, absolutely. You know, I I just found uh Romans uh that declares Um that faith cometh by hearing.

and hearing by the word of God. And so, as we hear the word, we take it in, like David said, that word of I hid in my heart. You have that word for the for the days that will come. And sometimes Just like My Job story. There's a day.

It's a coming.
