It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. Happy Friday to you. I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you to everybody tuned in all over North America. It is Friday, which means we're getting closer to the Super Bowl. We're getting closer to wings and pizza and beer. Philadelphia or Kansas City, maybe Pennsylvania, Missouri, Kansas.

One of these states is going to have a spike in children in about nine months. We'll find out who the hell that is in two days. So we got a lot to get into over the next three hours. Okay. And talk more Super Bowl.

Thank you so much. Last hour to Martin Frank for joining us to talk Eagles. He covers the Eagles for the Delaware News Journal. We talked about Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson.

Did Lamar Jackson get robbed of MVP? And then as we continue on with the show, how about this? In 20 minutes, we'll have a conversation with Carrington Harrison covers the Kansas City Chiefs full time on the airwaves in Kansas City. And then we're going to get into some comments made by guys like Tyreek Hill, who said today he's sorry to his teammates for saying that he wants out. Shadore Sanders has some thoughts on where and when he will get drafted. Jimmy Butler says he's going to win a championship in Golden State. Okay, right.

I wouldn't bet my money on that one. And then we have so much more to get into. Of course, at the end of the show, we'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history. You can always listen to the show on the free Odyssey app, your local Infinity Sports Network affiliate, Sirius XM 375. And if you have a smart speaker, ask it to play the Infinity Sports Network. I'm in Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you to super producer and host Ryan Hickey.

He is in New York City. Thank you to everybody who called us last hour, gave their opinions on the Super Bowl, gave their opinions on Allen or Jackson. And those are those are fellows that are going to be going into the Hall of Fame. All right. Last night during NFL Honors on the NFL Network. And oh, by the way, let me just point this out.

Hickey, it's hard to notice this when you're on the air. But did you see how some of the the Hall of Fame now inductees? Did you see how some of them were mislabeled?

I did. Yes, I think it was the one was it was either Sterling Sharp and Eric Allen. Correct.

Yes, they were mistaken for each other. Yeah. I mean, you have one job as the cameraman, right?

Or I guess as the director, go to camera three. Oh, that's wrong guy. Yeah. I mean, typically the people in the production trucks know, you know, mistakes happen, but I feel like it happened twice last night. You know, and mistakes happen that, OK, fine.

Like it's we're all human beings, right? There are certain situations where that just can't happen with four guys. Joe, we're not talking about 100 guys. And OK, you mix one guy up or two. It's four guys. You know who they are and they are being interested. Like their names are being presented.

They're walking one at a time. You can't have that happen. Just the whole it's only the Hall of Fame. You know, it's just the Hall of Fame. Well, if you're a Hall of Fame, you don't care too much.

I don't think Eric Allen, you know, minds the situation or Sterling Sharp, but it's just a little embarrassing. At least nobody knows these guys names, the producers, I should say. We don't know their names. We can only make fun of them for the mistakes that they made. But yes, they did have the Hall of Fame announcement yesterday.

We only have five men. Going into the Hall of Fame for the class of 2025, we had a long discussion about it. He did not get in this year. I think he'll get in in a few years from now. Whatever the hell that is, it's Eli Manning.

But the men that did get in. Eric Allen is mentioned. Sterling Sharp. Jared Allen. And then Antonio Gates. So in Eric Allen, we have one of the best defensive backs. I remember him.

He would all he did was just return interceptions for touchdowns. That man got the ball and he found the end zone. I think about Jared Allen. I think about this man playing for the Minnesota Vikings and pretending like he was, you know, on a ranch.

He was at the rodeo. Antonio Gates. Gigantic bottom heavy basketball player playing tight end. That guy could run around and keep you away from the ball and was bull strong. Now you got Sterling Sharp. Unfortunately, this man only played seven years, played for the Green Bay Packers, a super destroyer at wide receiver.

We know what type of physical freak his brother is or was. And Shannon and Sterling, unfortunately, he had a neck injury that pretty much ended his career. He had an amazing season, had a few amazing seasons, but didn't see a Super Bowl because he had to go out there and retire.

That is your class of 2025. In the case of Eric Allen, he had to wait 19 years. Eli Manning, cover your ears. I don't think it's going to take you almost two decades.

It took Eric Allen 19 years to get into the hall. Listen to what he said or just listen to this as he found out he's going in. Yeah. This is awesome, man. This is excellent. This is excellent. What a moment, man.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2025. Yeah, man, that's that's crazy. You know what it sounds like? Do you remember Publishers Clearing House?

I do. That's what it sounds like. Like, they was it Ed McMahon and somebody else show up at your door with a big check and balloons and tell you that you won in two million dollars. Does that still exist or is the world going to hell?

I think the world has gone to hell, unfortunately. How much money was the Publishers Clearing House? You had to sign up for stuff. I don't remember. I don't know how it worked. I don't remember how it works, but the presentation is always obviously the winners. I don't know how you win that.

Yeah, I just went to pch.com. Okay. We can win the one and a quarter million dollar prize on February 28th. Oh, what did you just enter? Yeah, I don't know what we have to do.

It says the winner will be announced on CNN, Fox and MSNBC. Now it sounds like a hustle. Yeah.

How the hell did they get all of them together? That's... Hold on. What? What? This is just going to be mass streamed across all news channels at the same time? Wow, this must be a big deal. How did this go over our heads? The fact we didn't even think this was still going on. I haven't heard about Publishers Clearing House in like 20 years, maybe more than that. So I don't know. Huh?

I feel like it was a thing left in the 80s and the 90s. Well, it sounds like the prize money went down. So now we got mega million. So who needs Publishers Clearing House? Who needs that? Screw them.

Yeah, let's win 10 billion dollars. Well, all I got to do is go to the gas station to pick the right numbers. That's all you got to do. Simple. That's it.

Easy as that. Well, that's what Eric Allen sounds like as he found out he's going into the Hall of Fame. I told you about Sterling Sharp, the brother of Shannon. And how about this?

Shannon told his brother about his entry in. Listen. Welcome, bro, to your house. Pro football Hall of Fame.

Class of 2025. This is crazy. All those nights and that's down square foot home. All those prayers that Granny and Libby and so many people prayed that we didn't even know God was listening to. To have this moment. And I've had some great moments in my professional life. This is the proudest moment in my life. That's how I felt when you went in. You know, I, I felt like that when you went in and you, you know, I'm not a crier. But when you said that you were in and that weekend that we had in Canton, ma'am, I was like, ain't nothing topping that.

This tops it. Yeah. Look, Shannon has been very, very clear. And it was it was not a surprise. He only played seven seasons about how much better his brother was than him. Unfortunately, he was the one who suffered from the injuries. And for all of our listeners and fans of the Green Bay Packers, I know they can attest pretty, pretty easy. I told you about Antonio Gates, this gigantic tight end, built like a truck moving like moving like a Ferrari. Antonio Gates, he was told by LT, the one from San Diego, not the not the other LT, not Lawrence Taylor. Listen to LT tell Antonio Gates where he's going.

Casey. Oh, that's good. It's my honor to welcome you to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Class of 2025. It's funny because I just lost my dad. I just buried my dad a week ago, Saturday. And uh, he would always talk about being a competitor, being tough. And it's tough, man.

It has to be a real, I don't want to say gut check. But I think for anyone who can, I think most of us can relate to losing someone important. There's always those moments that you wish you had and wish you you could share. So I'm sure that that is a really, really hitting, you know, Antonio Gates that he wasn't able to share that with his dad. And I can imagine his speech come August will will also be very, very impactful. Matter of fact, it's not they typically don't wait until August. That's in. That's like the first priest. So it might be August, right? First preseason game. They do it the week before. Yeah, no, the usually the first preseason game.

I saw a date. I think this is accurate. I believe it's August 2nd this year. Wow. How about so right, right at the beginning of August, make everybody sweat like a dog out in Canton, Ohio. Oh my God. I think for me, like that's always like the last thing.

Like when you talk about the Pro Football Hall of Fame weekend, that's the first thing I go to. Just a million sweaty people roasting in the sun all day. Now, I know. Does it have to be outside? I mean, does it have to be outside? Is it necessary?

I know these football players don't bust their ass in the elements to celebrate them. Can y'all have air conditioning? Is that too much to ask for?

Especially for some of the older ones, you know? Oh, my God. Get us some shade. Oh, yeah. And I'm sure that I'm sure they oh, well, we have we have fans and we have misters.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Air conditioning. Someone would say that we have all gone soft. I'm glad air conditioning. How about this last guy?

I don't know if he likes air conditioning. I know he likes the rodeo. I told you about Jared Allen going into the Hall of Fame. Twelve years in the NFL, five time Pro Bowler. He is 12th all time in NFL history when it comes down to sacks. This is what Jared Allen had to say to the Minnesota Vikings Entertainment Network about being voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It's a relief for sure.

I'll be honest, I don't know that the totality of it sunk in yet. Probably should roll later, but just because I've kind of had an expectation, especially after, you know, when you're a first ballot finalist and then you're just continually being on the finals, there comes an expectation that you're going to get in one day. Yeah, like Eric Allen, who had to wait 19 years. You want to know who potentially could get in next year? You want to know some of the first year eligible players? Drew Brees. Larry Fitzgerald.

I don't even think he formally retired yet. Jason Witten. Frank Gore. And Philip Rivers. Those are some of the candidates for next year.

And I know when it comes to the Hall of Fame, you know, we got to make guys wait. Drew Brees is definitely getting in. Larry Fitzgerald is definitely getting in. Frank Gore is definitely getting in. Philip Rivers, Jason Witten. I think they'd be behind the other gentlemen that I just mentioned.

Picky, what do you think? I am with you for sure and Larry Fitz and Drew Brees, but it was also so confusing. I'm with you. I don't remember Larry Fitzgerald ever announcing his retirement. Is that where his speech is going to start? By the way, I guess I'm officially retired now. I mean, well, we know Ricky Henderson passed not too long ago. Did Ricky Henderson ever formally retire? Did he ever? I don't think so. I think he still had one more stolen base left in him. Oh, my God. Do you want to see that stolen base?

No, not at this point. Yeah, me neither. They creep me the hell out. I'd have a lot of questions. I'd have a lot of questions if somehow we saw in 2025 stolen bases, that's for sure. Look, give it another 200 years, we'll be able to bring people back, okay? 200?

Yeah, wild guess. I hope they leave me alone. Hickey, wherever they put me down at, I hope they leave me there. I don't need to see, they bring me back robots with lasers and I don't need that stuff, okay? Pretty soon, instead of signing one of those DNRs, it's going to be like, do not bring me back to life. Once I'm dead, I am dead. Yeah, leave me alone. Leave me and my DNA to rot in the ground.

Leave a strand of hair, leave a bone fragment, just leave me alone. It's simple as that. Hey, congratulations to everybody who got into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and let's see how long it takes Eli to get in. He'll get there. He'll get there. He'll get there. He'll get there.

He'll get there. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. We're going to take a break. When we come back, you know, let's start having a conversation about someone who isn't in the Hall of Fame.

But if he quit today, he'd go into the hall. His name is Patrick Mahomes. As a matter of fact, let's just talk about the Chiefs in general. We're going to be joined by Carrington Harrison. He is in Louisiana. He covers the Chiefs. You can catch him on 610 in Kansas City. Let's get his thoughts on this dynasty that is ever growing and could pick up another championship on Sunday.

Carrington Harrison on the other side. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief Show, the Infinity Sports Network. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. We're two days away from the Super Bowl.

Damn, but we've had to wait two weeks. And as we get ready, we have to talk to a familiar voice here on the Infinity Sports Network. It's time to chat with someone who covers the Kansas City Chiefs, all things Kansas City sports on 610 Sports Radio. He is down in Louisiana.

It is Carrington Harrison. Carrington, how are you, man? Hey, JR, man. How are you doing this evening, man?

I appreciate you having me on today. Oh, absolutely. This is just like old hats to you.

Nothing to see. Same old, same old, huh? Yeah, it's funny, man.

So many of my friends have been asking, you know, hey, what's Super Bowl week like? And I mean, this is the fifth time that I've done it before. But, you know, like, you know, you start to pick up on things. You know how to manage your time a little bit better.

You know how to book guests. You know how that goes. I mean, from a football perspective, and I'm sure we'll talk about it over the course of this conversation, you know, over the last three years, every challenge that the Chiefs have had, they have figured out a way to solve it. I mean, even when it didn't look like it. You know, whenever they lose Rishi Wright, you're thinking, hey, I don't know about that wide receiver room. They lost Hollywood Brown. They lost Isaiah Pacheco at one point last year. I mean, last year's team, they went 500 the final eight weeks of the season. And they have just continued to figure things out where, I mean, they have won 23 of the last 24 games. And right now we're looking at a team that can go from being one of the greatest dynasties of all time to being number one. There have been five dynasties in league history. The Chiefs are one of them. They have a chance to put themselves number one on the list if they win on Sunday against Philadelphia. Well, Carrington, you talk about one of the big injuries and issues earlier on in the season is someone like Rishi Rice. And we look at the team and we look at the numbers of Patrick Mahomes this season. What makes this iteration? What makes this 2024 edition of the Kansas City Chiefs different from past ones?

That's a great question. It's funny because I wouldn't say that there's really a lot different from maybe some of the better teams. This team is just master winning close games.

And you got to think, what is it? You know, 60 percent, 70 percent of NFL games are decided by one possession. The Chiefs are 17-0 in those games, you know, over the last couple of years or so where, you know, if this game is close and a lot of people think it's going to be close, the spread is, you know, Chiefs are one and a half point favorite. The Chiefs have just won that game every single time this season where, you know, maybe if you, you know, replay this season, Kansas City goes, you know, 14-3 or has a different record. But just every time it's been close and Kansas City has needed a play, they have made that play every single time.

Carrington Harrison is here with us, the chair of our sport re-show Coast to Coast. Travis Kelce is 35 years old. People take a look at his numbers and they go, oh, it's not a thousand yards up.

It's not 10 touchdowns. Is he just turning it on when it matters? What's the deal with him and his career where it stands?

That's a great question. I mean, he played great in the Houston game. He wasn't so great in the AFC championship game.

I don't think that this team maybe needs Travis to be the superhero that he's been in the postseason. And we're talking about one of the five best postseason players that we've ever seen. And we're talking non quarterbacks. You know, Julian Edelman was one of those guys, Jerry Rice.

Travis Kelce has been one of those kinds of guys. A big conversation that I've been asked, you know, doing these shows this week is do I think Travis is going to come back next year? It's just financially in his best interest to come back. So at the beginning of the season, he renegotiated his deal to basically lock in two seasons. So Travis would get eleven and a half million dollars on March 14th.

If he is on the team, I think he's going to be on the team. He also then gets an extra million dollars if he reports to training camp, which why would he not report to training camps? We're talking about $12 million guaranteed heading into, you know, basically week one of training camp. And then you get $6 million in game checks next year.

So that's a pretty healthy amount of money. So I think that Kelce is going to be back. And it's funny because this is kind of a game where I guess going back to the Super Bowl, I'm not really sure what to expect from Travis Kelce. You can tell me that he has 100 yards in this game. You could tell me that he has 30 yards in this game, that he's that kind of postseason player that obviously you can't count him out, but you've got Kareem Hunt running at a high level. You've got Xavier Worthy.

Juju Smith-Shuster had 60 yards in the AFC Championship game. So maybe the biggest difference between this year's team and last year's Chiefs team is they just have far more options on offense than they did a year ago. Well, Karenson, you mentioned Xavier Worthy, that gift from the Buffalo Bills. How has he evolved from the beginning of the season to what we see now? He seems to be a whole lot more impactful later in the season. Or has he?

A hundred percent. He had a rough October. He was bad in the month of October.

I thought that the Chiefs were basically just trying to hit home runs with them. They just were trying to hit that deep pass and they weren't really using him in that kind of intermediate and kind of screen game role. They really had him take over what we saw Rice doing.

If you remember, Rice was kind of the same way last year. He really came on the second half of the season and started playing well. I think they've gotten Worthy kind of in that same role where, you're right, he's been great. I mean, he was their best skill position player in the AFC Championship game, had over 100 yards from scrimmage, had 86 receiving yards, had 16 on the ground in the run game. So I'm expecting a big game from him just with how they use him. And you're right, he has really grown over the last six to eight weeks for the Chiefs.

Karenson, the guy who's throwing him the ball. You take a look at Patrick Mahomes. Everybody is looking at three in a row and it may not be seven or six championships, but it's not shabby three in a row plus one.

What is your thought on the standing of Mahomes if he accomplishes a three-peat on Sunday night? My big point has been that Patrick has to do things that Tom didn't accomplish. I mean, Tom did just about everything you can do in the National Football League. You know, we never thought we'd see a team win every regular season game. We saw the Patriots do it. We saw him win six championships in New England, one to one with the Buccaneers. So there's no doubt that the Tom Brady resume is incredibly impressive. But if you're Patrick Mahomes and in this game, you got a chance to do the one thing that eluded Tom, which is to win three in a row. There's no other great quarterback that can say they've done this. Montana was great. Peyton Manning was great.

Tom Brady was great. Any quarterback in the Super Bowl era hasn't been able to win three in a row. And you talk about the start that he's gotten into.

And part of this conversation is with how premature it is. I mean, he is 29 years old. Brady won a championship in his 40s. Brady probably had his best season in New England by what, year seven, year eight when he was in his 30s back in 2007. So a lot of this stuff with Mahomes is a testament to how early he's gotten things going. And that regard, I mean, he's probably like Tiger Woods. You remember Tiger with a lot of conversation early in his career.

And he answered a lot of that stuff very only on by just being so dominant. Pat's the same way. Do you think we're going to get a repeat of what we saw two years ago? The Chiefs are going to hoist another Lombardi?

I think so. I mean, I kind of mentioned it earlier. We're just, I mean, this team has won 23 of its last 24 games. Patrick, he has played in 20 postseason games. They've won 17 of those. And you're telling me to pick the other team? It feels like we've done this now three straight times where people are arguing, well, Kansas City has the better quarterback, but I like the Eagles for roster spot two through 53.

Same thing with San Francisco last year. This team just figures out ways to win. And we talked about this on my radio show earlier today, where if you go back to four of the last five Super Bowls, it requires your quarterback to make a drive with less than five minutes to go to go win the game. Mahomes has made three of those drives in the last five Super Bowls. If you were talking about in this game, if it's going to be close, you are going to ask Jalen Hurst to take his team down the field to score a touchdown. Do you think he can score a touchdown? I don't think he can score a touchdown and that's why I'm picking Kansas City to win this game 27-20.

Hey, Carrington, last question for you. Based on the success you expect them to have on Sunday, do you think that we will see head coach Andy Reed eventually catch up to Shula? He got about 46 more wins.

Yeah, no, for sure. I mean, Andy, Andy has rejuvenated to be the head coach of the Chiefs. I don't think he's retiring anytime soon. To me, the real question is, can he catch Bill Belichick? Because you got to remember, Belichick only really won with Tom Brady. We saw Andy Reed take Philadelphia to the Super Bowl. We saw him win before Patrick Mahomes got there in Kansas City. Andy is making a case of being the best coach during the salary cap era.

We can go back to pre-salary cap, and I know it's a different football game, but in the salary cap era, it has been Belichick in a pretty wide gap between him and everybody else, but Andy is closing that gap each and every Sunday. And we're going to see if the Chiefs keep on winning, winning, winning. Carrington, tell everybody where they can find you, listen to you, because I know you are all over the place.

Full of sense. Yeah, you guys can hear me coming up in the morning on the Harrison experience from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. right here on the Infinity Sports Network. And, Carrington, we appreciate you. Enjoy Louisiana. Enjoy the Sunday. Have a good show tomorrow. Always a pleasure, my man. J.R., I appreciate you, man. Thanks a bunch. Thank you.

Thank you. It's the J.R. Sportbree Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. We are going to take a break when we come back. Yeah, Patrick Mahomes, we know he's going to Canton regardless of what happens on Sunday. We got a quarterback.

He has yet to throw a pass in the NFL, but he has some ideas about where he wants to go and where he might go. I'll tell you who I'm referring to on the other side of the break. I'm going to give you my Super Bowl prediction at the top of the hour as well as a super producer and host, Ryan Hickey.

We got a lot to do. You're listening to the J.R. Sportbrief. It is the J.R. Sportbree Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. Thank you so much to Carrington Harrison for joining us in the last break. You can catch Carrington Harrison here in the morning on the Infinity Sports Network.

You can catch him weekdays on 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City. Not a shock, not a shock at all. Carrington is going with the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. Our guest last hour, who covers the Philadelphia Eagles, Martin Frank, he says he is choosing the Eagles to win the Super Bowl. He says it's not because he covers them. And so the guys who cover, you know, each team from their respective cities are going with the locals.

So not a surprise or a shock there. Hickey and I will give you our predictions in about 20 minutes. I need you to think O'Reilly Auto Parts for all of your car care needs. Get guaranteed low prices and excellent customer service from the professional parts people at O'Reilly Auto Parts. You want to give me a call? You can 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4227. You know, of course, there was naturally a lot of conversations about the legacy surrounding or the legacy of Patrick Mahomes, the legacy of Andy Reid, of the ability for both of these men to build on top of that, depending on what happens with the game on a Sunday. And I did mention to you that, you know, the NFL and Super Bowl week is like a massive convention.

It's a who's who. You get a bunch of sponsors together. You get radio stations and TV and social media. You get executives. It's really a cool time down in New Orleans.

Last night, Hall of Fame, MVP. It's just this is a lot going on. And so what you typically get as well are individuals who are trying to get into the NFL, people who have not yet been drafted, but they are doing the media rounds to, you know, get their own messaging out, raise their stock, raise their awareness, make sure that they can maximize however much money they can make by the time they're drafted come April. And we've heard it over and over again over the past several months. This year's draft class, when it comes to quarterbacks, is not the best.

You've heard it. You got Cam Ward and Chidor Sanders and flip a coin as to who will necessarily go where. And then the team that will be selecting number one overall in the draft this year, the Tennessee of the Tennessee Titans. Well, that organization is pretty stupid. I mean, anybody that got rid of Mike Vrabel because he probably told the truth is stupid to me.

I can't be more frank about it. And so they're selecting number one overall. They still have Will Levis. Callahan is still there as the coach. I don't know how much longer that's going to last. And if you're going to hold on to Will Levis, I'm going to expect more turnovers this upcoming season. They need so much. They may just select Travis Hunter and tell him, hey, can you play quarterback, too?

It's a possibility. And then at number two, we have the Cleveland Browns. Do I need to go on a long soliloquy about how bad they are? How cooked they are with a quarterback situation, how their best player and best defensive player and Miles Garrett doesn't even want to be there?

I can go on and on and on about the history of the Browns, but they stink and they need a quarterback. Are they taking Cam Ward? Are they going with Chidor?

We don't know. I told you every rookie or most of them are trying to get their own messages out there. The ones that can Chidor Sanders was making immediate rounds over the past several days, and he was on. This is football. And Chidor was asked about being selected at number one overall. And what if he wasn't selected? He wasn't selected by the Titans. And what if he wasn't selected by the Browns?

And what if he was? I can go on and on. Chidor, if you're not the number one overall pick, how are you going to feel?

Why would I be mad? I think about it like this. These are good problems to have.

I completely agree. You could be in a way worse situation, you know? So being number one, that don't really matter to me at the end of the day. That don't matter to me because, yeah, I could go number one, but it may not be a fit, you know? Or I could go number two and it be a fit. I could go number three and it be a fit, you know? So it's all about fit. It don't matter. Any situation you're going into is not going to be the best situation.

So the numbers of it don't really matter. I ain't caught up on that. Oh boy. He sounds like his dad. It sounds like he's following the talking points of his dad.

His father said it months ago. Deion Sanders said, I'm going, when it comes to my son, Chidor and Travis Hunter, I am going to help steer where they go. You don't want them ending up on no bum ass team. And let's be frank.

Let's be real. If I was Deion Sanders and my son was Chidor, I wouldn't want him going to the Tennessee Titans. I would not. If I was Deion Sanders, I wouldn't want Chidor going to the Cleveland Browns. And I know I don't, he might have teased it. Do I want him going to the Giants? I don't know.

After that, things start getting tricky. Jacksonville Jaguars, they don't need no quarterback. Patriots don't need no QB. The Raiders draft at number six. They play out west.

They play inside. Chidor Sanders has an existing relationship with Tom Brady. Tom Brady is running the Raiders. If I'm Chidor Sanders, and if I'm Deion Sanders, yeah, you can go anywhere. But the only place that I would accept going is Vegas.

That's it. Not Cleveland, not to none of the New York teams. I mean, the New York Jets select seventh overall.

That would be a massive disaster. Let Chidor go to Vegas. Let him learn a little bit behind whatever rookie is there.

People will relax. People will let him to do people will allow him to develop. People will look at Tom Brady and go, well, Tom Brady's in charge. So Tom Brady knows something.

And by the way, Tom Brady voted Lamar Jackson MVP, just for anyone wondering. Chidor might not mind being selected after number one. Go to the Raiders. Raiders got to take him.

Hickey, what do you think the best spot is for Chidor? I actually don't hate the Browns at all. Oh, my God. And number two, I mean, Deshaun Watson's career is done. I get the cap situation hurts them, but I think Kevin Safanti is a good offensive minded coach. You have some young offensive talent.

You have a solid when they're healthy offensive line in front of you. I don't like in terms of the top teams, like I'd much rather go to Cleveland than Tennessee. I would agree. I definitely much like the I actually don't hate the Browns at all.

I definitely much rather go to Cleveland than New York. The Giants just to me are a total mess. Not a lot of talent there. Their head coach in the GM seems like, you know, John Mayer's waiting to fire them after the first loss. So you could be going to a team in New York. You're gonna have a new GM and a new head coach after just one year.

There's a lot of instability there. I probably order at least at the top, like realistic. I don't, I would agree with the Raiders.

I would probably say Browns won Raiders two, Titans three of like the top 10 teams that realistically could draft them. That'd be the order. You're kind. You're kind. You're a kind guy here.

Yeah, I appreciate it about you because it's been a lot worse. No, no, no, no, no, no. There's just nothing. Nothing. I can't look at the Cleveland Browns in the positive light.

I can't because I just feel like it's going to be disaster after disaster after disaster. And it's not so much about Kevin Stefanski. It's about the Haslams. You know, it's about Andrew Berry. I mean, he got punked by his best player in miles Garrett this week. And it's not the first time we've seen a professional athlete, quote unquote, dunk on management.

I mean, this week we saw it for the past several months. Jimmy Butler got exactly what he wanted by being a complete jerk. But I just think when, when you, when you, when you're in with the management hickey, I think it's different. Like Kevin Stefanski, despite being a multiple time coach of the year, he was, he was criticized. People were talking about whether or not he could, you know, fit in or stay or whether or not he needs to stay or move on. I think from the upper levels of Raiders management, I think to know that my dad Dion and the other guy, the boss, you know, Tom Brady, I feel a little bit more comfortable about my standing. Like regardless of who's coach, like we all know Pete Carroll ain't going to coach forever, but if Pete Carroll goes, you know, it's not necessarily going to be tied to Chidor. I think there's overall career safety in Las Vegas. And I know Dion will certainly feel that, that he can have a little bit more input. You control your destiny just a little bit more. Well, I mean, yes, you're right. And you can't fire Tom Brady cause he's an owner.

So at least that's the good news there. He's a smart man. He basically is running and calling the shots and running the show while also being unfireable. But that's like, we don't know. You know, I think Tom Brady should be good at what he's, you know, what he's doing.

I think he should make sound decisions, but we have, we have no idea. You know, we saw John Elway for a million years, swing and miss at quarter with quarterbacks for the Broncos. You would think that's a guy that knows what he's looking at. So I know Tom Brady's won on the field. I'm not sold. That's a guarantee that he'll win off the field. And at least for the first few years, that outfits line's not very good. Not really much receiver talent outside of Brock Bowers. Like there's a, there's so much, there needs to be such an influx of talent in Vegas.

I think it's going to take a little bit longer to where, I mean, for the brands. I agree, but this is what it boils. It's, it's an ego thing, man. It's ego. It's not just that it's Tom Brady is that we have an existing relationship with Tom Brady.

And so we can have a little bit more say so in how things are done. You know, do I expect Dion to get a name tag and a corner office? No, you know, but he's, he's certainly going to feel like, Hey, I can, I can bounce things off of Tom Brady. You know, I don't even who spot tech, who, who, what?

Yeah, man, go, can you go get us some water? Me and Tom Brady is speaking right now. You know, that's, that's what it's going to be. And so I just think that if you, if you need to feed an ego, if you feel like this is more of a partnership, then it's Raiders and you're a hundred percent right. Just because Tom Brady is a great quarterback doesn't mean he's going to be a great manager.

I mean, we can take a look at Derek Jeter with the Florida Marlins a couple of years ago, this guy was the ultimate champion in five world series championships and what have you. And Derek Jeter felt that he was handcuffed by a Bruce Sherman owner of the mall and say he couldn't do his job. Ultimately he said, I'm outta here.

I'm quitting no success. Tom Brady in a few years ago, you know what? I'm going to keep my state, but just somebody else run it. But for right now, while everything is fresh and the opportunity is there and the, the birds are chirping and the flowers are blooming and everything is great in Raider land. I think Deion Sanders would approach it more of, well, I can get my son here and have a voice. If I just have him go to Cleveland, man, we, we might just be on skates trying to control that destiny a little bit more.

And speaking of controlling the destiny. Oh my goodness. I heard about this yesterday.

I can't believe it. Ben Simmons is going to have the option to choose where he continues his career. Ben Simmons has been bought out from the Brooklyn nets. This is the final year. His contract, he basically set up who needs, you know, pay for three months.

I can get a minimum salary to continue, maybe to contribute somewhere else. Listen to this from Shams on ESPN from yesterday. The Clippers and Cavaliers from my understanding are among the teams considering Ben Simmons in a buyout. He does prefer to play for a contending team in the second half of this NBA season. Man, just, just go to Cleveland. If Ben Simmons goes to Los Angeles, let me just put it this way.

It's not going to be about basketball. Congratulations to Ben Simmons, who is completing a five-year $177 million contract for sitting on the bench in some of the most ridiculous outfits, being afraid to take a free throw, being afraid to be foul, being afraid to take a three and for back pain and back surgery, $177 million. When you really look at it nowadays, the 76 is having to choose between Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. Right now, it just looks like a lose-lose proposition all the way around. Ben Simmons now an opportunity to maybe win a championship somewhere.

Maybe he can carry the bags, possibly. Go, go, go play for the Cavs. Okay. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. When we come back on the other side of the break, I'm going to give you my Super Bowl prediction. Is it going to be the Kansas City Chiefs? Is it going to be the Philadelphia Eagles?
