What's up, buddy? Oh, it's finally here, which is good, man. I have been enjoying the baseball season. Can you believe it? You've been enjoying the baseball season.

You hate baseball. Yeah, I hate baseball when my team is irrelevant, but my team's relevant. The problem is your goddamn team won't get out of the way, though. The Brewers continue to, although we split the series. Um You know, they just they won't get out of the way.

Uh, but the cubs are fun. We were just talking about this right before we started to record. We were talking off air, we were talking off air. PCA is uh awesome. He's great.

I have cub I have Cub's thoughts. But I I love the player. I think it's just maybe me being old. Because like I feel like I would I get that I would hate him. If he weren't on my team, yeah.

If he was on the Brewers, you'd hate him. I may hate him, even though he is on my favorite team, but love the player. Love the player, but um I don't know.

Sometimes when I see the interviews and stuff. I'm like, I get why people think this guy's a an asshole. We need to talk a little bit about that Cubs game, including Tyrese Halliburton versus Nathan Marzion. I'll get into that in a moment. Wait, hold on.

Before you do, though, can I say something? Because finally I have a platform to talk about it. I was going to tweet about it, but I was like, nobody is on this app anymore. All right. This is on the Cubs.

You could go, you could give your whole side on it. I don't care about Halliburton, I don't care about Nathan Marzian, I don't care about any of this stuff. But what I care about is. What a dumb look for the Cubs, right? Here you have a guy.

that grew up in Wisconsin. Barely. Grew up a Brewer fan. He plays for the Pacers. Mind you, when I was growing up...

Like in the Bulls were actually a relevant franchise that people cared about. We hated that that was a rival. Like Cubs Brewers, that was a rival. We hated Reggie Miller. We booed his ass.

He was doing the, you know, he was taunting us and taking a bow, and then Ku Koch hit a jumper in his face. They took the Bulls. That was the biggest threat the Bulls had. I don't know if hashtag people forget when the Bulls won their sixth championship the last dance, the Pacers took them to seven.

So I don't get it, man, right? You have a team in your conference. You have. a kid that grew up in Wisconsin. Cheered for your rival right now, the team that prevents you from winning the NL Central, even though you're spending all this money.

He's on a rival basketball team. Why in the living fuck is he on the mound last night in a cub jersey throwing out the first pitch? I get that he's like trying to get back and blah, blah, blah. Because Chicago is so demented. Chicago is so wrapped up and obsessed with Wisconsin.

They treat every time the Cubs lose to the Brewers, it's like, oh, the Brewers are stupid anyway. But every time the Cubs win, it's like Chicago just regained their independence. The whole city parties. It's so weird. And you're trying to troll Wisconsin with Halliburton.

You. Our Chicago Bulls fans This is an Indiana Pacer. You're in the same division. You are rivals, but you're so desperate to get at Wisconsin that you're going to put him on the mound. It is the most little brother syndrome in all of sports, and it's coming from a what should be great sports town, but Chicago continues to cuck to the state above them at every chance they get.

You know what it kind of reminds me of? When I went to, when I was in high school, I went to Joliet Catholic and we were awesome in football, but our basketball team was dog shit because a bunch of white kids from Catholic League. And like, we would always like, not we, like, but like when I went there, the student section, anytime we would play a public school and it'd be like 81 to 38 going into the fourth quarter, we would always chant like, let's play football. Let's play football. And I was always like, this is so dumb.

Like, basketball is a major sport. We suck at it and they're just wiping their balls with us right now. And you guys are chanting about football when it's not football season. That's dumb. That's kind of how I feel about like the Packers, like Channing.

But I don't know. I kind of also like it, man, because it's a real rivalry. Right, like when I worked, when we worked at the other station and people would call in. It'd be like You know, it was like little brother syndrome only because it was like, oh, you know, in in like Rami and all the Cubs fans, including myself. We would be like, we don't really care about you guys.

Like, you're cute. We hate the Cardinals. Not anymore. Like, I hate you guys way more than the Cardinals. The Cardinals blow, I am.

Don't get me wrong. The fans, like, I love you guys. I don't Like, I see it on the field as like a good rivalry. I don't like when people get weird with each other on social media. I don't like most Cub fans, though.

Like, growing up, most of my friends were White Sox fans. I just got. Stuck with this bullshit. Like being a Cub fan when I was growing up, we've talked about this many, many times, man. It wasn't cool.

Right. Like, I didn't want to be a Cub fan, but you got to, you do what your dad, what your grandpa does. Like, I. Wrigley. But like now?

I kind of hate, and we've won one fucking World Series. And so, like, I don't know. But I do love my baseball team. And I do love it. It's funny.

This is the same thing the Bucs did. It's like. You're a franchise that seems like you never won. But now that the Cubs won... In recent times.

Now they claim like we've won three World Series. Like before, it was lovable losers and those didn't count. But now, it's the same thing with the Bucks. It was like, oh my God, we won. We actually won twice.

We won in 71 too. But we like never think about that. But now that we won, you get the other one too. Before 1908, bro. Yeah.

Yeah, that does. If Gordy Gillespie, if my dead grandpa wasn't alive. Because I, that's God bless my grandpa. Anytime, like, and you know, he's seen everybody play, but um, and coached a lot of great players, but he'd always be like, Ryan. You know, he'd be like, Who do you think the greatest player of all time was?

And I would be like. You know, you know, Ted Williams or something, he'd be like, no, Jojo strings, you know, Washington, bro. And I'd be like, no, he fucking wasn't. Like, get out of here. But he's like 4-9 and he hit 210.

Yeah. Babe Ruth was actually not the greatest player. It was Willie, you know, some just random dude. But you know whatever anyway all that to say uh I can't wait to get my heart broken because... Good luck.

I mean the brewers are gonna win the division and Then the wild card, I mean... God bless it because it's more teams in the postseason, but Also. I feel like it takes away a little bit from the regular season. I kinda miss the way that it used to be. But also, it's great, you know, because my team's not going to win the division.

But I just, I'll get my heart broken, and then it'll be football time. I everybody I'm you know man a lot of I and then I know we're going to talk about it, but everybody's so excited about the Packers this year. And I feel like. This is the most nervous I've ever been going into a season. Because I know for a fact the Lions are going to be really good.

And um I just, the Micah Parsons stuff, I just, I wonder, I think like next year is more a buy-in year on Green Bay because I don't think he's going to be the same guy when he comes back, when he does come back. He's going to be good, but he's not going to be the same player. And they need him to be great because the rest of the defense, I got serious question marks about.

So Horvot's here. We're going to do our weekly pick show starting next week.

Well, you'll get it in on Wednesday before. all the action. Starts for week one. This, we're going to just kind of look at the divisions and see what we're thinking about and just kind of get our feet wet. Also, if you're on the Dan Shaney YouTube stream, You will notice that we are starting to NASCAR the shit.

out of our podcast. uh video stream And also Bartwinklershow.com that I need to update today. But Here's here.

So I'm talking about more sponsors lately. Thank you, A. B, the important thing that we have done so far is those that are contributing and helping the Winklerverse. Are also already in the Winklerverse. Dan Shaney listened for a long time.

He's got an insurance business. He's sponsoring the video stream. Carl's place, Carl's listened for a long time. He's got a golf simulator company. He's sponsoring the voicemail line, the Carlos Ortiz Weekly Show.

All right, we've got Jake Newborn, who for a long time has worked with the Wisconsin Bike Fed. They have a campaign. They're teaming up with us to talk about it. I'll get into that in a second. And then the drive.

Playthedrive.com. This is a game where you purchase the game, you get a cup, you get these poker chips, you get the actual cards. You know, pass the hat at baseball games. It's like that, but for football.

So you don't have to go to these websites. You can just do it with the people you're with. This is going to be great for. 10 people hanging out during a game, maybe just you know, your family's watching, it's Thanksgiving, whatever. You pick a card.

If what happens on the card happens, you get the money that you have put in the pot. Uh, Dan Doherty's going to join us midway in this episode, and we'll give you some more details on that. But you'll see the drive logo on the screens too here when Horbot and I talk and playthedrive.com.

So, again, everyone that's involved in the Winklerverse is already. In the Winkler verse, and now they're helping out. A reminder on what we're doing with the Wisconsin Bike Fed: crashes involving people. Driving and the vulnerable users of the road, they are the highest. Horvat, you know when, in the fall.

Say it with me, in the fall. Especially during the evening hours, because there's a lot of activities now.

So there's like Thursday nights. I'm taking my kid to flag football. I'm taking him to fallball. And then I'm taking him home. It's getting dark.

Everyone around here drives the biggest truck possible. Boom. Kids. Taken out. Don't do that.

Don't Don't do that. And I. thought I was higher than these trucks. At five, ten and a half. Turns out last time at the doctor, I'm only 5'9 and three quarters.

So maybe they won't see me. But the Wisconsin Bike Fed and I reminding people: driving, and if you're biking, use your lights. As the hours begin to wane, if you're operating near other users, be aware, slow down, look around, and we'll all do our part to reduce low light crashes, be visible, be predictable, and that's how people on the road can get to where they're going safety. Check out more: wisconsinbikefed.org.

So a lot going on in the Winklerverse. We're still delivering the same content. But now we've got some messages from other members of the Winklerverse a little more to share. At Edward Jones, we believe rich means opening yourself to new possibilities. That's why your dedicated financial advisor meets you where you are, helping you move forward with confidence.

Let's find your rich. Edward Jones, member SIPC. Hey, what's up guys? It's Haley Bailey.

Okay, I need to tell you about something. I just got YouTube Premium. It's got tons of awesome features like offline downloads so I can download my favorite videos before I travel and watch them whenever I don't have Wi-Fi. Because we all know airplane Wi-Fi is the worst. I get ad-free, I get background play, and there's like a ton more in there.

You should try it. If you like YouTube, you'll love YouTube Premium. Try it now for two months free at youtube.com slash premium. Trial eligibility varies, terms apply, cancel any time. That's a mouthful.

So we're going to do the NFC first. We won't make you wait till minute 55 to talk Packers. You were just talking about the North. Um Yep. I don't think the Packers are going to win the division.

I don't know who is. By default? I'm going to say the Lions. Because it's not going to be the Vikings. And it's not going to be the Bears.

Now, my problem with the Packers is. I am so obnoxiously in on Jordan Love. If I had to start a team right now, I'm taking Josh Allen and then I'm taking Love. I mean, I am as high on love as you can be.

So obviously, I think the Packers are going to go to the Super Bowl, right? No, because as high as the, and this happens, the more high I get on LaFleur. Or love, the less I get on LaFleur, watching him and his brother tickle each other's belly buttons during that last preseason game is annoying as shit. I can't stand this guy. You know that.

So it doesn't matter what I don't, I can't, I can't even talk about the special teams coordinators full of life. Gannon's on the sideline. Love could have 5,000 yards. I can't talk about any of that because I hate. Nat LaFleur so much.

And also our our starting running back is uh fucking I don't know.

So I'm not they're gonna win nine or ten games. They'll make the playoffs. They'll lose in Philadelphia. But this team's not winning the division.

So I'm going to take in the NFC North. We'll start there. I'm taking the Detroit Lions. Yeah, me too. I'm gonna go with the favorite here.

I know, like, all these teams are tempting because it's a loaded division, and you got, like, for example, like the Vikings, they could win the division. I mean, it's gonna be a really good defense, like they have been the last couple of years. And now we find out. If they still had Darnold, I might take them. If they even had.

Well, Kirk Cousins, I might take them, but they have... Kyler Murray. I feel like of all the teams in the division, right? Like, because of the price, they have the highest ceiling. Just if they unlock, because Kevin O'Connell is supposed to be this quarterback whisperer, although.

Right, like Darnall that just Like Darnold's just good. I mean, he's gonna turn the ball over. But he's also got a pretty solid arm. He can make most of the throws. He's pretty athletic.

He just won a Super Bowl. Like all these guys that get drafted by the Jets, turns out they could actually play once they get away. Like it turns out, even Aaron Rodgers, historically one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, can't win with the Jets.

So I think that's just a black hole. But um You know, I feel like they have the highest ceiling just because if they finally unlock what Kyler could be, his potential, I just think he's like a really fun player, though. I like Kevin O'Connell, but I think we overrated him a little bit. I don't think he's Kyle Shanahan. I don't think he's McVay.

I don't even think he's LaFleur. I know that you don't like LaFleur, but I do like LaFleur. I'll get to him in a second, but. You know, I do understand why people are betting the Vikings. I'm going to stay away from them, but I feel like they're the ultimate boomer-bust team.

The Bears at plus 305, the case I was making against Chicago was the defense wasn't very good last year. They just were up there and led the league in takeaways. That's fluky. It's hard to do two years in a row, but they also had a ton of injuries. I think they're going to be better defensively.

I don't think they could be much worse, but I don't think they're going to lead the league in takeaways. I don't think the offense is going to skip a beat. I think they're going to be better. I think Caleb Williams could throw for 5,000 yards. Colston Loveland might be.

The second or third best tight end in the league. I hear people calling him the best. I don't know about that. I'll still take Brock Bowers. But um, I like Ben Johnson.

I like the Bears. Won't surprise me if they do win the division. Not my pick with Green Bay. I'm with you, man. I know everybody thinks I'm this big Jordan love hater.

I'm not. I think he. Could be a top five quarterback. He might be a top five quarterback in the league. I mean, statistically, he is.

uh he protected the football all the dumb shit he did in college Turns out we all do dumb shit in college. Like it got corrected. I I'm like Here's the thing, I like LaFlore. Other than him taking uh other than like I'll never forgive him for taking the greatest quarterback. In NFL history, Off the field against the Bucs.

I know he was forcing throws to Devontae. I don't care. We're not making a fucking, we're not kicking a field goal to make a one-possession game, a one-possession game. To not get the ball back. I'll never forgive him for that.

I do think he's a good coach. I think he gets in his own head. Like. During the losses. It's not even so much that he looks like he's it is that he looks like he wants the I need more toughness out of him.

The first couple of years, I thought he was kind of a badass, even though he gets his eyebrows done and he kind of you know, like doesn't come off as like a Dan Campbell football guy type. Remember, him and Rogers would go back and forth a little bit. He kind of told Rogers: stop checking. You can't check out of my plays. Since then, I don't know, man.

Well, now he cries during halftime. The offense needs to be the Jordan Love show, though, this year. I mean, especially because we don't think or we don't know when we're going to see Josh Jacobs. I'm excited for some of the young players here in the running back room. My main concern isn't LaFleur.

It isn't Jordan Love. It's the defense, man, without Michael Parsons. I mean, they gave up all that. draft capital for and Kenny Clark for Micah Parsons because He's a top two, top three edge rusher in the league. Without him I mean, even with him on the field, man, and Rashawn Gary didn't do shit.

He's gone. You know, Lucas Vaness. Who do you like who's your favorite like who do you try like You know, Quay Walker is gone. I mean, I know like everybody didn't love him, and he's kind of a nutbag, but he led the team in tackles last year. I like the coordinator.

I'm excited to see Zaire Franklin play. Though there's guys that I'm excited to see, I don't think everybody was one guy I liked in the secondary, and they cut him. See, here's my problem with the secondary. I think you could get by maybe with that second. Nixon shouldn't be playing football.

I don't care. Some people are like, oh, well, he's good for depth. No, he's not. He's a net negative on this team. IMO, by the way.

That's just IMHO. Like remember in the 90s like A team like Green Bay or Chicago. Oh no, they would cut the guy who actually cut punt return.

Okay, so like, but back in the day, like, look at this division, right? You have Caleb Williams, Ben Johnson, Colston Loveland, all the Bears' weapons, right? Whatever they want to throw at you. You have Justin Jefferson, the top five receiver in the league when healthy. You know, you have everything in Detroit.

Amin Ross St. Brown's going to lead the league in receptions. Green Bay, your biggest need has to be. The secondary, I mean, first off, they did it right by going all in for Micah because that's how you win Super Bowls. That's how the Eagles did it.

Shit, that's how the Chiefs did it. You got to get after the quarterback. But if Micah is not going to be fully healthy, I don't know that you could get by with this secondary. I think you could get by with this secondary and these other edge rushers. If He's healthy, but when he's going to start the season on the pup list.

I don't know, man. That's my concern.

Now, I hope I'm wrong, and they win 15 games, and everybody's like, Horvat, you fucking idiot. But my pick is the Lions, not only to win the division. But to win the NFC, I'm not. I actually like Dan Campbell. I was worried last year, and rightfully so, because they lost Ben Johnson.

I was like, there goes the brains out of the operation. I don't really like Morton. You know who else didn't? None of the players. But the offense wasn't the issue.

They still scored 30 points per game. Jared Goff's a really good quarterback, it turns out. I don't know if he's good enough to win a Super Bowl. We'll find out this year. And I think the defense is going to be better.

Last year, Hutchinson was just coming back from the injury. I wish. Everybody in the secondary didn't commit crimes, and they had the full secondary that they wanted the offseason with, but. I like the Lions, man. I think the Lions, I bet them to win over 10 and a half games.

You could get them to win 12, 13 games for like really good prices. I think they win 14 games, they win the division, and I think they go to the Super Bowl finally. Famous last words. I think Dan Campbell's a good coach. And I think they ball out this year if everybody stays healthy.

I don't think the Lions go to the Super Bowl. I don't know who I think goes to the Super Bowl, although I will. As you're talking, I've decided on the team I'm going to. Pick. From the NFC to go to the Super Bowl.

I will tell you. That team is not. in the nfc west I think the NFC West, look, the Niners. As long as they, I'm serious, as long as they practice by that electrical substation, they're cooked. That thing is doing something.

There's there's no even guys that Went and scrimmaged the Niners in these pre like that. Team started getting hurt. I don't think the Cardinals are going to be any good. um with mike lafleur I think the Rams. Are going to make the playoffs.

And they're going to win some games by 20 points. And there's going to be weeks where you think, oh man, they're unstoppable. But I feel like we've seen this movie a hundred times. Also, Aaron Donald. Aaron Donald didn't.

We're going to look back at Aaron Donald's retirement like it was Michael Jordan. Like he was always coming back. This was so stupid. Miles Garrett going there does not mean they're going to win a Super Bowl. Everyone, all of a sudden, says Matt Stafford's a great quarterback, and now they just decide he's the best ever.

Mm. I'm still going to take Seattle. In that division, Seattle is being ignored. They won the Super Bowl that, like, nobody seems to have watched because we were all focused on the fucking halftime show again. Seattle is the best team in the NFC.

At least in the West. If If Seattle and LA, if they had different, like there is a Seattle tax because. Nobody plays near them within 800 miles. I like the Seahawks in the NFC. West.

I'm so glad to finally hear somebody else say it, man.

Now, I don't get it. The Rams, and everyone's just like. I take Rams to win league. I'm only paying attention to that content because my hot take: every year I give you guys a team that's going to miss the playoffs. And everybody's always like, you're a lunatic.

Last year it was the Lions. Yeah, I was on that, and I was on the Niners two years ago. I'm not going to say the Rams miss. I was on the Niners two years ago. All right, so here's.

Here's why I'm out of here. Oh, Carlos was on the Chiefs last year. That was stud. That was a good move. I'll never I oh, I can't wait to talk about them.

But I'm so glad you said what you said because Seattle right now is plus 225 to win the division. I know that we get so much football consumed now that people don't even need to. You used to watch hard knocks because you were like, fuck, I miss football. I'll take it.

Now, the whole offseason, here's the schedule show. Here's the McAfee, you know, NFL kickoff shibuzi classic. Everybody in the bar drinking tipsies. Whatever the hell. I I work hard.

No one likes me. I'm from a small town. Get fucked up, drunk. Seattle's coaching staff is a bunch of badasses. JSN's the best wide receiver in the league.

Darnold's a killer. I got to tell you, Pat, that lyrics, I mean, that's as good as anything I've ever read. Those D, that defense, the defense needs like a trendy, cool name, and they don't talk enough shit. They could be Legion of Boomgood.

So I'm with you on Seattle. I don't think the Niners are dead. I love that. I love the Niners when I hate the Niners when everybody thinks they're going to win it all. I love the Niners when they're dead.

That's my point about the Rams. I love McVay. When everybody's down on the Rams, right? Last year. I know Stafford won the MVP.

Going into the season, nobody, like going into August and September, people didn't think he was going to make it to week five. Weren't we freezing him? I don't even know that that was Matthew Stafford. They may have killed him and then cloned him. You know, his wife was saying all that weird shit about how she was banging the backup or whatever weird stuff was going on at Georgia.

Now we got Orlaski saying he's better than Rogers. Dan, where the fuck were you for the decade that Rogers was wiping his ass with the entire Detroit organization? People are so Aaron Rodgers. I don't know if everybody remembers this. The Steelers won the division last year.

Rogers was thrown to garbage men, mailmen. and and Busboys, and they still won the division last year. In a loaded division.

So, let's pump the Matthew Stafford greatest of all time takes. I like Stafford too. I can fuck with like top 50 all the time. Top five, Come on now. And here's what I'm saying, man.

I think there's going to be some regression. What if the back flares up? Is he going to stay healthy for an entire season? I don't know about that. I love Devontae, he'll always be one of my favorites.

He's another year older. Puka Dakua. Not many guys had a weirder offseason than him. He continues to spin off this planet. Will it surprise you?

And I hate to say this, it's week five. We got like a full-blown police chase. It won't me. The defense is going to be awesome, but you know what, man? Aaron Donald hasn't played football in a couple of years.

It's like he's still gonna be good.

Well, that's because his wife wouldn't let him, and now she just couldn't contain him anymore. LOL. Sure. On paper, they, and here's the other thing, nobody says. Wives should not tweet.

Sorry. Here's the other thing nobody's talking about, dude. You said there's going to be weeks they win by 30. Or brothers, or day. I'm trying to find the weeks when they win by 30.

Let's look at this schedule real quick. You kick off your season against the 49ers. Right in fucking East Melbourne, by the way, and you're not leaving until the day before when they're going to be there for a full week. I already bet the Niners. I mean, we're going to do our picks next week.

I think the Niners win that game outright. In Australia? In Australia. Hold on, let me tell you this stat I saw. I was going to save it, but I have to tell you.

Give it to me. The Rams are 3-0 in international games under Sean McVay, and they've won by a combined score of 92-17. Sweet. I don't.

Okay, so maybe they beat San Francisco. All right. But then you leave Australia. You go back home to play the Giants who will be improved. After that, You then head to Denver to take on the Broncos.

After that, you head to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. After that, you head back home, but you get the Bills. After that, you get the Cardinals and your boy Michael Floor. Then you go to Vegas to play the Raiders, right? Sneaky, weird spot.

After that, you go home, but you play the Chargers. Then you're in DC playing the Commanders. Back on the road against Arizona. Back home against the Packers. Could be a huge game for Green Bay and Michael.

He'll be back November 25th. Then you're at home, but you're against the Chiefs. Then you get a rivalry game on the road against the Niners. Then you go back home against the Cowboys, who everybody loves this year. Then you get the Seahawks.

Then you get the Bucs on the road. Then you go back home and get the Seahawks two times in three weeks. That is a tough schedule, man.

So everybody, like, I went under on the win total. Even if they're as good as everybody projects, I don't think they're winning 14 games, 13 games. What is their over-under? 12 and a half. They're not winning 13 games.

Again, on paper, if this is fucking Madden, sure, but injuries happen. Right. Stafford is old, and so all I'm saying is. I want to play some of these over-unders, but you need a good chunk of money and you got to wait four months. Here's something for you to clip: I got Rams missing the playoffs plus 450.

I think Seahawks win the division. I think the Niners get in. I think the Rams miss the playoffs. I like that. Remember when the Eagles were the dream team?

I hate these dream teams, man. Because they were hyping up their backup quarterback was Vince Young, wasn't it? Yeah, I don't like the Niners when Shanny goes in with a loaded roster and they're cocky. I like when, right, like he's got to go out there on a Thursday night and he's got to win a game with Mac Jones. I like McVay last year, right?

Or like, you know, and the defense is going to be good, I get, but like, I like McVay the year that Baker Mayfield gets picked up off the street and all of a sudden they're playing the Packers tough on Thursday night. I don't love these teams that are just hearing about how, and sure, like if this is the NBA. Maybe, I don't know. Maybe they prove me wrong and make me look like an asshole, but I'm fading the Rams this year. I like the Lions, and I'm going Detroit to miss the playoffs.

I'm sorry, the Rams to miss the playoffs, plus 450. Seahawks, disrespect is crazy. Defending champs. All right, I'm gonna say NFC South. On the count of three.

Say you're division winner. Ready? Yeah. One, two, three. Saints.

Panthers. Yeah. Saints. Yeah. With my boy Travis E T N.

I mean I'm a Bryce Young believer for whatever reason. I just decided to be. I have no, I have no, like. I just decided to be. I don't watch him and be like.

That's what I believe in. I just decided. I'm going to believe in him.

Okay. There's a difference. I want him to be good. I want him to be better than CJ Stroud. Because I don't like that everyone was just like, see, Stroud, and then fucking Young sucks.

Well, neither of them suck. I still think they're going to have careers that like. You know Are similar to each other, also, Stroud. Strode's out of the league before Bryce Young is. That's my, that's my, oh, yeah.

Stroud looks like a middle schooler. He ain't winning 10 games like that. They might win it all this year, bro. The Texans? Yeah, they got the best defense.

No, they'll win their division, they'll get a home game, then they'll lose in Baltimore like they always fucking do. All right, so staying on task with the NFC South. Tampa plus 165, no thanks. I like Baker, dude, but... Mike Evans is gone.

I know Abuka's, you know, this is his year two leap. I still like the wide receiver room. I like Bucky Irving. You know what Tampa is? I hate Tampa.

Tampa is a dog that should have been put down six months ago. Yeah, I hate the coaching staff, so I'm going to pass on them. Yeah, sure. Like, this could be the year for the Panthers. I just, I still don't trust the defense, I don't trust Bryce.

You know, I like the skill position players like Tet, but I'm good on them, especially at. Where are they at? I just scrolled past them. Hold on. Hold on.

There it is. Plus 350, though, is tempting. I like the Saints at plus 255. Last five weeks of the season, they were the best team in that division. I actually like Shuck.

In Atlanta, four to one, never again, dude. I don't care if it's Pennix. I don't care if it's Tua. I love Bijan Robinson. I do think Kyle Pitts is going to be a decent fantasy option.

I like Drake London. How come True going there? I play them to win the division. They always let me down until there's a completely new coaching staff. It seems like Tua going there.

has made both him and Penix worse. It's not like, oh, they're going to have a quarterback competition and bring the best out of each other.

Somehow, these lefties are bringing the worst out of each other. They're going to be throwing righty by the end of the season because their left arm sucks so fucking bad.

Now, it won't surprise me if Atlanta does win the division. I mean, 4-1 is a decent price. I like the Saints, though. I'm going to go to the NFC East. Yeah.

And that is where my Super Bowl winner resides. No. Yeah. Who? The New York Giants.

Week one opponent. The Dallas Cowboys.

Okay. I'm taking Dallas. Why one? The same way I feel about Jordan Love, I feel about Dak Prescott. I love Dak.

Two Why the fuck not? We live in a world that nothing makes sense. I'm pretty sure. We're in a simulation because. The whole thing about simulations are.

If you can make. A simulation. then you're proven to be in a simulation. Because if your society can make a simulation, you have a 50-50 shot. That you're either The last one of the chain of simulations, or you're the first one that started the simulation.

That makes more sense if I say it. eloquently but Nothing makes sense. The whole world's upside down. We're all fucked. Why not the Cowboys?

Everything else weird has happened. You know?

So why not the fucking Cowboys? That's my take. The Knicks won a finals. The Cubs won a World Series. Indiana's national football champs.

Why can't the Dallas fucking Cowboys? Win a fucking Super Bowl. And you know what I like about the Cowboys? You know what I like about Jerry Jones as a GM, even though I think that he's a bad GM. I love that.

Every trade he makes. is for a fourth-round pick. He doesn't care. And And I do think. That while trading Parsons was dumb.

What's it though? They've done a good job. Replenishing the defense. With their other resources. Yeah.

I like the Dallas Cowboys. To Lose the Super Bowl. They're going to lose the Super Bowl. They're going to get there, but they're going to lose. And I'll just spoil it.

'Cause they're gonna lose to a team that they've already beaten twice in the Super Bowl. Oh, I think I know where you're going to go with this the same way that everybody's going to go with this. The Buffalo Bills. Yeah, we'll get to the AFC. I am with you on the Cowboys.

First off, I have three MVP bets this year. One, I'll just spoil it. It's Justin Herbert. The other two come in the same division. Oh, you love Herbert's because.

You know, like when you got a wide receiver, number one, like Antonio, like that's like eight, like AB, that's like on the uh. Sidelines like reading books and complaining, and he needs the constant targets. Guys always have monster years the year after those dudes leave. Like, remember when everybody's like, oh, the bills are fucked. Defon Diggs is gone.

No, they were better than ever because Josh Allen blew up. Everybody was tweeting about how Jalen Hurts looked like shit. There was like a practice where he had a couple incompletions, and I'm like, you know what? I'm going to go back to the well and I'm going to bet a little MVP just in case the Eagles win a bunch of games because of that defense. But they're not my pick because Sirianni is an idiot.

I don't like the coordinators as much as I did when I bet them to win the Super Bowl and they did a couple of years ago. And I think, like Saquon, I know a lot of fantasy guys think he has a bounce back year. I think he's getting older. I just don't trust it. The Giants, I'm not there, man.

I don't think the Giants are going to be very good. I bet they're win total under for a couple thousand dollars. I'll just throw that out there like a couple times this year. It's my biggest bet because I don't think Jackson Dart's a quarterback. I think like Scatabu's gonna run himself into a brick wall one day.

He's the, like, I hate to say it, he's the walking definition of CTE. Their defense should be good, but I don't trust it. Skehedabu's the first person to just like. C T E like just f formed in his body. Like when he was five, he just like got CTE.

He's in the same boat as PCA. Like, I don't understand. Like, if I were a kid, I might be like, fuck this guy, even if he were on my team. And then, um, I'm with you on the Cowboys. I bet Dak, too, because I mean, the wide receiver room, the skill positions are loaded.

The defense is going to be better. And. I like the coaching staff in Dallas. I'm with you, dude. Cowboys for me to win the division as well.

I like it. Good stuff by you, and good stuff by me.

So that's the NFC. I've got Dallas coming out. You've got Detroit. We will talk about the AFC here in a moment. We're going to, I chatted with Dan.

Doherty. He is the one who made the drive. He actually was at the Cubs. Uh Brewers game last night. He wanted you to go.

Which I could have. He's like, give Horvat the ticket. And then I'm like, Horvat lives in Maryland. And he's like, what? I go, yeah, don't ask.

I think if there was a if Horvot had one of those pills, like, do your life over or take a million dollars, I think. He's not in Maryland right now. Yeah. I can tell you that. All right.

So we'll talk to Dan. We'll come back and we'll do the AFC picks. Here on into the Winklerverse. Hey, what's up guys, it's Haley Bailey.

What he has dubbed. The greatest game ever played. And that is the drive. Dan, welcome into the Winklerverse. Thank you for being a part of it.

We're going to be talking about the drive during. Our picks this season, me and Horvat back for. I don't know how long we've been doing it, podcast and even. On the radio, but Dan, I've got it in my hand here. I've got the drive, I've got the chips, I got the cup.

You've got the box. Um tell me about this game, how it started, what it is. How people can get it. I have 15 questions for you. Answer them all at once, please.

Go ahead. It is an honor. and a privilege to be. In the Winklerverse, which is uh something uh that um After following you. all over the place.

Uh, I'm glad I found you where you are.

So, um, and thanks for the introduction about the drive now. You know the one market that exists across Um Every uh city in the country The market where Three to five to ten people get together and watch football. And then You add a little bit of the... Hey, I want a little juice on this game. Or I want a little juice on this play type of betting has come into play.

And then I'm kind of old school. I'm a little older than you are. You might, you know, catch up to me someday. But I'm trying. I'm trying to catch up every day.

But back in the day. in in neighborhoods all across not just Wisconsin, but all across the country. Folks used to have Poker Night And Everyone would come over to the garage and They play poker and for money here, there, whatever with friends and family.

So I'm down in my man cave. I might have just gotten back from a Brewer game or a Cub game that I was playing. uh the cup game in in the bleachers Yeah, and then some people made up this mound game thing, which really isn't enough for me because. That only happens every half. But So then I thought, well, how are we going to put this together?

a card game that you play for money while watching football on TV. And if you look at the outcome of these drives. That occur, and on average, there's about 24 drives. per game in an NFL game. And by the way, you can play in college.

There's about 30 drives in a college game. But if you consider. That We give you a cup. And of course, what goes in the cup is an ante. And I'm not talking about ADM.

I'm talking about cold hard cash.

Now, if you want to play with. Kids. Or grandma, you can play with these. No, Grandma's got a loss of cash usually at the table, Danny. Grandma's got that purse of pennies that has random $100 bills in it.

That's correct. That is. Grandma, are you holding out on me? You gave me five bucks for my birthday. Let's go.

Exactly. In fact, if you can find a relative that has that kind of cash, put them in front of the TV, turn on any football game. ante the cash into the cup. You know, most people start with a buck or two, but it gets fun when you go five or 10 or 15, 20 bucks, whatever. And then you deal these cards.

And Up to 10 people can play. The perfect amount is like... five six four seven people But so in any event, there are 10 outcomes. Yeah, yeah, there you go. Got the card.

And And by the way. For those of Drive enthusiasts. That are not privy to Why we live up here in the north. Then there's the all American version. Oh, I got the green and gold version.

Yeah, no, that yeah, that's the original. We kind of found out, and I am sending a game this week to uh Somebody down in Louisiana, they got to be a Baylor fan because they're getting the green and gold. Um, but other than bowling green, we're a Winklerverse fan, those are our colors. Yeah, the Winklerverse, I see them right there, Oregon, maybe, sure. Uh, but the red, white, and blue, the all-American is uh.

someone in Chicago or New York or Miami, whatever, they're ordering. The the the non-green and gold version, but in any whoever orders, you get the cards. You got the money.

So how do we play?

So the way you play is the money goes in the cup. The ball gets kicked off. And everyone has a card that has an outcome on it. And the outcomes Started a long time ago as a touchdown, a field goal, a turnover, and a punt. And then you start looking at the data.

And 34% of all drives in the NFL. and in a punt.

So out of the 10 cards. I got three cards. For the outcome of a punt. Punt with a fair catch, punt with a touchback, punt returned or blocked.

So already we're in line with the data. That We've collected over the years for the NFL. Then of course you got a TD pass and a TD run.

So you can make the game as basic and as easy. Again, for grandma or for kids. Or if you're sitting around with buddies and each of you just put 10 bucks in a cup, and a guy throws a 75-yard pass on the first play. of a drive.

Well, if five guys are playing That guy not only gets the cash in the cup, But he gets any bonuses. that are listed on the cards. And uh Sometimes, you know, you're dealing these cards out. And again, let's think of it from the standpoint of you're about to get into a poker game that has. in a half 12 hands of poker.

at five bucks a hand. and you don't know the outcome. And so when you get a card. And you see that that card is a field goal. You know, some people are like, oh my God, that's a terrible card.

Well, wait 10 seconds. because the guy somebody's going to get sacked you know way back at the 30 yard line And all of a sudden the field goal card wins.

So there's some excitement that builds as the drive happens as. As the ball moved What does Hank Stramp say? Matriculates down the field. then somebody's card is getting hot and I don't, this is not a sexist comment at all, but women love that. I'll let you finish.

Women love this game. Because they get a card. And they can watch the game, and all they gotta do is have. What's on their card happen in the game and they win money.

So I'm just thinking about all the different people that I. Would play with. And I think my seven-year-old kid, this is an easy way for him to watch a game. I'm thinking, I love. Uh, you know, action, and I love action with my buddies, so it's a great way for us diehards.

I'm thinking of the get-togethers at Thanksgiving, I'm thinking of the get-togethers at Christmas, where you're all sitting around watching football anyway. That this is a great game to then have everybody engaged instead of asking answering 15 questions about how the Cowboys are doing this year. No, we're watching. We're now. We're watching.

And by the end of the night, everyone knows Dak Prescott's stats. Everybody knows the field goal percentage. Everybody knows everything they need to know about Brandon Aubrey. Um, so I'm just thinking Thanksgiving here.

So, yeah, this is a great way for everybody to watch the game. Make memories, be together, and of course, but you gotta, we need to get you the game first. That's what we're promoting. How are we getting you the game? Uh you go to playthedrive.com and uh follow us at At Play the Drive.

We're on Instagram and Facebook. But playthedrive.com, you order the game. We ship. UPS like the next day. If anyone's in the Chicago area, you can pick it up and avoid the shipping.

But we guarantee the shipping. We guarantee. a refund of any money back if you don't. understand or like or have fun playing the game. And we have had knock on wood.

No refunds to date because When people start doing it like you say.

Now My Uncle Bill. He's had a couple of rough Thanksgivings where he's lost a few shekels to some of his kids and some of his nieces and nephews and whatever. But it's all in good fun and it really does. Um become the game inside the game. And uh You know, you guys were talking the other day about.

Um I think with Pete, you were talking about shout out to Marquette High. He was talking about watching a Thursday night game that. Jaguars, Titans. No one cares. What's that?

Yeah, he was talking about Jaguars, Titans. No one cares, but we're watching. Jaguars, Titans, and no one cares until they put a tenor in the cup. and the ball is kicked off and four guys are sitting around. Waiting for 40 bucks to be handed out.

And then, once that's done, by the way, once that drive is done, you re-andy back and you reshuffle the cards and you go again. And if you only have four guys playing, there's something called a boneyard. It's the extra cards that you have in the deck that haven't been handed out. And when one of those cards hit, Then It's a rollover in the boneyard.

So to speak. And Everyone re-andies money into the cup.

Now the cup is twice the size. Yeah. All right. And all the rules, there's a card with all the rules. Yeah, that that is a that is a A card that no one has ever, ever read.

But it is literary genius. Um, so uh, so yeah, playthedrive.com. Uh, follow us at play the drive. I really appreciate the opportunity to partner up with you, and we'll follow the drive as we go through the season. I've got events that happen here in Chicago, I've had some up in at uh Oh, what is the pub?

Um in Elm Grove, the Irish pub. Um, he's gonna Jamie O'Donoghue's place. Oh, what a place to. Have a few cocktails. and play the drive and watch football.

It's awesome. Playthedrive.com. You sent me a version. That I was going to bring to the tailgate. But it I forgot many things at the tailgate, including 48 frozen burgers that are still in my fridge.

No. So, We are going to give away one of those. Um during week one.

So this is This is how it's going to work during the week one picks. Horvat and I are going to do the week one picks. I am going to In that episode. Mention a code.

Okay, I'm going to mention a code word. You are going to email. I will lay this out again, but you're going to email me. At into the winkler versus gmail.com. The code word.

Okay. I will then pick at random one winner. And I will send you. A copy of the drive. And if you're close enough, I may even hand deliver it.

Nice, nice. If I'm sending you the drive. I've got some extra koozies I'll throw in too. What an offer. Nice.

Nice. Well, and we've got some merch. Hey. I'll send that person a shirt because It has a pocket for your money. All right.

Well, a lot of people. You're getting real all over the place. Yeah, right, right, right, right. But, and then the code word, I'm not going to. Tell you what the code should be, but roll over in the boneyard.

It's kind of nice, you know. It's a Well the quote order was probably just going to be drive, but I'll make it different. I'll make a different code or That sounds great. That sounds great. It might just be code word.

It might be password. I don't know yet. We got a week to figure it out.

So, playthedrive.com. Dan, thanks for being aboard the Winklerverse. We're going to have a fun season, and we're going to play a lot of the drive. Awesome. Hey.

Come for the game. Stay for the drive. Welcome back.

Well, you didn't go anywhere.

So, welcome back into the Winklerverse. Ryan Horvat is here. For the beginning of our NFL coverage. We're not covering. Are we covering the league?

Someone just. People always are like, I covered the Packers for 20 years. No, you didn't. You sat on a, you never went to the game. I feel like you have to go to the games to like cover, to use the phrase cover the team.

Also, People, one thing people keep saying to me online is: you're just trying to be relevant. And while I'll continue to say. Everything I say is real. I've never faked a take for attention. But do I want attention?

Yes, I am running a podcast from my basement. The guy goes. You're trying to stay relevant. I said, that's the job. He goes, job in quotes.

I go. Every day I wake up. I work on my podcast. And I do it. for little but money.

Is that not a job? This is my job.

Okay. This is my fucking job. Tell. Could I support a family on this job? Absolutely not.

Is my wife busting her ass to keep me afloat? Yeah. Does that make me a cuck? Absolutely. Am I a good stay-at-home dad?

Not really. I bitch about everything I have to do. But is this my job technically? I'm getting W-9s from Facebook and Twitter and YouTube. What the fuck else?

What do you want me to call this? I call it a somewhat profitable hobby. If you want to make this my job job, I need more. I need more graphics on the screen is what I need. We need everything.

We need every part covered. Yeah, you guys could take up the whole board. Shit, we'll make a bigger board for you. Yeah, the drive's great. Damn shit.

Wisconsin bike bed's great. Happy place, M. Promo code BART. 25% off is great. Carl's place is great.

That's not covering the full screen. Your slogan here. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. AFC, let's start with the East. Yeah, because it's easy, right?

Well, the Jets are probably bad. The Dolphins, I think, are going to be. I think the 72 Dolphins, whatever's left of them, is going to be popping champagne when the Dolphins win their first game the second week. Yeah, we're going to be able to. Yeah, week one.

I think the Dolphins like. They're not going to go winless, but they could. Every year there's like a team and everybody's like. all in on them being so bad that they're kind of surprisingly good. I think either Arizona is going to be surprisingly decent or the Dolphins.

How do you? I know you're from Green Bay for one season and the GM. You know, we got cuts of him on our second night draft shows that we never played. But how do you. How do you get Malik Willis and then watch?

Fucking Kyle McCord have one good night in a Packers uniform and say, shit, we need him too. And then they're um On waivers, they claimed like four guys the Packers cut. Yeah. We know you like shopping at your old store, but you've moved. 200,000 or 2,000 miles south.

You gotta go to Publix now. You're not in Kroger Land anymore. I bet the under on their window. I don't think they win five games, but I could just see them being like a covering machine, like a back door covering machine. Yeah, man.

And I really like Malik, so I hope it ends up working out for him. But I think that team's going to be fucking miserable. That wide receiver room looks like a Mac team. The Jets, I hear everybody, oh, the Jets are going to make the playoffs. No, they're not.

They're never going to make the playoffs. Do they mean the Winnipeg Jets? Mm-hmm. The New York Jets. What do I think about with New England?

First of all, I don't like Vrabel just like got away with it. I don't know what punishment I want from him, but. I don't like that he's just, I don't like that we're all just pretending like it didn't happen. But what did he do? I mean, like, he probably didn't get away with it at home.

He cheated on his wife. I'm not condoned, like, I'm not. He went to Taylor Swift's wedding. He got away with it. He brought a dog to the podium.

Dude, maybe they have an open relationship. Like, because Rossini's husband seems pretty cool with it, and his wife doesn't seem that like. Maybe it maybe like People are fucking weird now, man. Don't you agree that if Like Rossini's Husband and Vrabel's wife should they need to bone now. I don't even know.

Like if if if you're Then you guys get the bone. I just think it's crazy that she's going to get a jab before I do. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, and they'll like make jokes about it.

The Patriots are 4-1 to win the division. I don't think they do what they did last year. She'll interview coaches, and the coach will just be like, nice shoes, want to fuck. Anyway. Here's my entire playbook.

Tell everyone. The Bills made every right move this offseason. And they have Josh Allen. It's as simple as that. Bills for me.

They're minus 136. I'm not going to actually bet them to win the division. If you were like, here's $100, you got to bet the division, I'd roll with the Patriots. But no. Bills.

Why is Drake May all of a sudden the second best fantasy football quarterback? When did that happen?

Well, he's really good. I was always a big Drake May guy. He's got a rocket fur arm and he's a hell of an athlete. And he's going to give you rushing yards and rushing touches. Hey, what the fuck happened to Rutgers?

You know, I'm so mad at myself. I was going to bet that game. I wasn't going to take the money line. I was going to take the 29 and a half points. I was like, no, I got too much money tonight on Colorado, and that's going to be a sweat.

And then I look up and it's 21-7, and Ruckers is down. I bet their win total under, though. I didn't think they were going to be very good. They lost a ton. I'm not a Chiano guy.

Big Ten's loaded. I won that bet last night, though.

Now they're not fucking going over the win total. Like, that was one that they needed. You got to beat University of St. Francis. I like that some of these week, like it's week, not even week one, and some of these like TCU lost to North Carolina.

Their season's over. I had North Carolina. Rutgers' season's over. Georgia Tech's season's over. I'm 9-2 already this college football season.

We got a big one tonight, Michigan State. I bet. I love that Pat Fitzgerald gets another shot. Who do they got?

Some shitty team? Michigan State tonight? Eastern Michigan? Who's that guy? Oh, it's like Toledo.

Everybody's going to love Toledo. They've been awesome the last couple of years. Hey, we saw a Mac team beat Big Ten last night. I got Georgia this weekend because everybody's like, Kirby's 015 and 1 when favored by 38 points. Yeah, they're going to roll Tennessee State.

I bet Marshall to cover 24 and a half against Penn State. Completely new coaching staff, and they're just going to win by 25. I don't think so. I took Clemson, the points against LSU. Same thing, too much hype around Wayne.

I got the Badgers covering against Notre Dame. And I got a Florida State Monday night. I love Florida State. Everybody and their mother is going to try to get their money back from the weekend with SMU. How are they only favored by two and a half, three?

Norvell sucks. Florida State sucks. Florida State is going to win that game. You heard it here first. Uh, I'm down with it.

Um, so AFC East, I've got Buffalo, Bills. All right. AFC South. Here's where it gets interesting, in my opinion. You like Houston.

Well, I think okay, Houston has the most potential, but um I bet a different team to win the division. It's gross. I need for me to believe in Houston, and this is unfair. Because they've been around for 24 years, but they're still an expansion team to me. I need a new expansion team before I can look at Houston a different way.

It's unfair. It makes very little sense. Did you take Jacksonville? Last year I did. This year I didn't.

You took the Colts? Yeah. You took Tennessee? I got their win total over six and a half, and then I had a hundred dollars to throw around, and I took them at nine to one to win the division because. I told you last year, I was like, some team is going to be.

Even with Jared Stillman, our boy, unable to cover them in the locker room. I told you last year, I said, what's going to happen is Robert Sala is going to do such a good job in San Francisco with this beat-to-shit defense that some team is going to talk themselves into him being a head coach again. And so then Tennessee hires them. And I'm like, why would you do that when you have a young quarterback who?

Some people don't think he's very good. I like Cam Ward. See, I bet this, and then they had the preseason game where he missed that throw, and everybody's like, oh, see, they're going to suck. But I only like the Robert Salah hire because I think he's going to fix the defense and because I love the Brian Dayball hire.

So I think he could unlock. Cam Ward this year. I think they win seven games.

So I went over six and a half. But the Texans should win the division, they have the best defense. Stroud's not terrible, right? The offense should score enough points. Everybody's picking him, though.

Now, I can't do it with the Colts. Daniel Jones is coming back from a devastating injury. Anthony Richardson, I don't think, is very good and he might not be there. Jonathan Taylor, I need him to stay healthy and have a big year because I was forced to take him in fantasy and I have him in a keeper league. But I worry, man, like he was awesome to start the year and he's another year older.

I don't know about the defense there. Jacksonville could win the division. I like Liam Cohen, but what Trevor Lawrence do we get this year? How good's the defense?

So. I think, like, on paper, the best team is the Texans, but I love the Titans to win seven games this year. That's my bet. But I'm picking Texans. All right, I'm gonna go with Jacksonville.

I like them.

Okay. Duval Are we doing that still? I still, one of my kids' friends' dads looks just like the guy, and it really creeps me the shit out. It's weird. But he doesn't like know sports, so I can't be like, hey, you look like Liam Cohen.

I'd have to like show him Liam Cohen and then it. Whenever someone says to you, you look like a guy. And then you see him for the first time, you're like, meh. But if you already have a idea. I'm just saying this because I can't break down the Jaguars.

I can't even say their name right. Um AFC North. Oh, God, I got. I love this division this year. I got my team.

Am I sitting north? I got my Super Bowl pick. This is the team that plays the Lions for me. Actually, no, no, no, hold on. I changed it.

I got two bets. One of my teams is from here. Another we still got to talk about.

Something is telling me. That Cincinnati We'll fuck this up. Nope. I am going to I am going to They got a new coach, though, Al Golden. I think I'm just gonna stay with the Ravens.

Okay. It's such a lame pick. I'm not going to take the Steelers, even though I love McCarthy back. Yeah, they might not be very good though. McCarthy, the thing about this is.

He is going to be so like carefree this year. Because he knows he's in Pittsburgh till he doesn't want to be.

Okay. They've got Aaron Rodgers. He's got other quarterbacks he can start to develop. He's still got his old buddy there. It doesn't matter if they win or lose, it ain't his fault.

You're fucking starting Rodgers. I really think when it's all said and done, I know everybody thinks like Rogers is this attention whore. I really do think when it's all said and done, we like never see him again. Maybe like at Lambo, but I think he just like. rides off and we never see him again.

So I'm really enjoying this last year where Like You know, it's like, oh, he got back together with his family. And I, but I really, I don't care about that shit because his family, like, I listened to Jordan Rodgers last Saturday and I'm like, this is why he doesn't talk to these people. Shut the fuck up. But I'm glad that him and McCarthy squashed the beef, man, because I think that it was a lot of that was like manufactured. I don't think they hated each other.

I don't think Rock, like, I think Mac at the end was lazy because every year they knew they were going to win the division, right?

So he was going to skip out on special teams practice and go get a Tugger in the massage room. I think Rodgers was like, this guy's fucking lazy and his play calls suck. We need to get somebody in here so I could win a Super Bowl.

So my whole career is not just this guy only won one. But now that they're both kind of like... They've underachieved a little bit because you know, we were like, How many Super Bowls can McCarthy win? Is Rogers the greatest of all time? He's already won this one.

They won't even expect to be any good. He can win six. They're both just kind of what they are, and now they get to like enjoy their last year together.

So, I'm all in on that story. I hope that they're good. I don't trust them to be any good. Um Ravens could be good, but I don't. I didn't love the coaching hire as much as everybody else did.

I do love Lamar's rushing yards this year. I think he's going to leave the pocket a lot more. Um I love the Bengals this year. Easy schedule. Fixed defense.

Al Golden is a Notre Dame guy. I think he's the real deal. I love Burrow. And I think him, Jamar Chase, T. Higgins.

Chase Brown have monster fantasy seasons. Bengals are one of my Super Bowl picks to play the Lions. I like Cincey this year, man. I love Burrow. I think they stay healthy.

I think they start fast. I'm betting him week one is three and a half point favorites against Tampa. I bet the money line, they might be my fucking survivor pick. Love the Bengals this year. Hooday!

Survivor pick. Who did I miss in that division? Oh, the browns. Yeah, they suck. Fuck them.

So that leaves us with the AFC West. Everybody's always like, Why do you podcast from the kitchen? 'Cause I can do this. Yeah, the West, there's my other Super Bowl pick. Jim Harbaugh is going to get him one, man.

That's why he came back to the league. I thought when Jim Harbaugh got in the league. You won't see his real team. Until year three. And once Herbert goes down and they trade for J.J.

McCarthy week five. Then they're going to be elevated to the Super Bowl. See, I was all excited because I was like, you'll get your tackles back. Because last year, the problem was, and they won, they, I mean, they were good last year. Um I'd be thinking about it.

Can that offensive line recover from the time miss from Rashawn Slater? That's the question.

Well, you lost your center, too. That's the issue. But no, I'm all in on the Chargers. Defense is going to be good. They're going to be able to run the rock.

I think Harvawz, I know he's a winner. And I like Herbert. Herbert's my MVP pick, 11 to 1. What about a Charge Rams, Chargers Rams Super Bowl? Nope.

It's gonna be the Chargers and the Lions or the Bengals and the Lions. You heard it here first. I'm never wrong, either. Maybe this is the year I'm wrong. Right?

It's like uh what was the old line? Um You could tell your friends this was the day you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow. Maybe this is the year I'm finally wrong, but History says I'm right. And I really, really, really, really, really, really, really love this Chargers team, dude. What are they right now to win that division?

By the way, hold on. Um Plus 190.

So, I mean, this division, dude, all these teams minus the Raiders are going to be good, though. I'm taking Denver. I hate Denver. I hate Sean Payton, but. I am taking Denver to win the West.

Oh, I think they missed the playoffs, Denver. I fucking hope so. I think the Chiefs Plus 170 or also, like, I know I just got done blowing the Chargers, but man, like, you're getting plus. I think like betting Mahomes to win MVP. And Chiefs to win the Super Bowl is a plus EV bet right now.

I'll say that. Like, I. I do think I'm hearing a lot of people like is it over for the Chiefs. Mahomes was disrespected in that NFL 100 thing. I do think we're getting like a little crazy with the disrespect here, dude.

Oh, I've also got a sponsorship with Odds Jam. I got to put that link out because you can. Do some smart EV betting and that and James listens to the show too. I I do think that um I don't even know what I was going to say. I was thinking about you, you got me there without, but with.

I was then thinking about something in my head. Hi R uh yeah, yeah. I really like Michigan State tonight is what I was thinking in my head. I got to get more money on them. I have a fantasy draft on Sunday night, and it's in person, and I'm so pissed.

I just want to do it on my computer. And Badgers play Wisconsin or Notre Dame, and it's Sunday night main event. I wanted to watch that with my kid. Yeah, but you're not going to be able to if you're a college football fan because they like kind of fucked us, dude. I don't love how every game is.

And isn't the Apple Cup this weekend also already? I mean, Louisville plays Omiss. I want to watch Baron Corbin fight Little Yachty. No? No.

You know what's funny is that when I went on my bachelor party, Lil Yachty, that song Broccoli was really popular at the time. How did that go? In the middle of the party, bitch, get off me. Rolling up my broccoli. He may have actually been there.

I know the smoke jumpers were. There was like some EDM. Chain jumpers, the chain smokers. Chain smokers. Yeah, because I was calling them.

Never mind what I was calling them. I like that closer song. I know everyone thinks it's stupid. Hey, I know. And Halsey, I was just watching her do a version and she like slowed it down and she's like, you know, super hot.

I like house music. I mean, like, you know, but not really the chain smokers. I do like John. I'm going to see John Summit on Halloween here in DC though. I don't know who that is.

Yeah. I don't have a job, so I just I'm retired now, so I just do whatever I want. It's pretty sweet sometimes. Orvat, I look forward to another season with you. Go Lions, I hate to say it, as a Packer fan, but they're going to be scary.

And don't sleep on Justin Herbert, especially because his chick. What is her name? Madison Beer, Madison Brewer, whatever. How do you get the last name beer? I don't know.

She's beautiful though. Like beer was made, and then that became a last name, or where people, because last names used to be like. What you did. Like, I'm John Blacksmith. You know?

Ryan Smokesweed. Yeah. Yeah. Bart fucks mattress. Yeah.

Fuck's pie.

Well, hey, really quick, one last question.

So, my kid is going to be 13 years old. Jesus Christ! In four days, we're going to see Wu-Tang clan for his birthday. You got a teenager, bro. Yeah.

We're going to see the Wu-Tang clan on his birthday, not on his birthday, but the following week. Which is funny because for my 13th birthday, I went and saw the Wu-Tang clan. He's all into hip-hop right now.

So I like let him watch Eight Mile. I made him close his eyes during the fucking parts and stuff. I took him to see that buddy movie. Railed Britney Murphy against the Chainlink. And then the mom, Kim Basinger, gets railed too by Michael Shannon.

It's like, Jesus Christ, I forgot. It's like my dad. My dad took me to see He Got Game, and that was the only movie he ever made me leave. When he goes to visit Bucky, Buffy, and Susan, my dad was like, No, we gotta go. More embarrassing was the time that I talked my grandmother into renting Jerry Maguire from my dad's video store for me on opening night because it was a football movie.

In the opening scene, he's just nailing Kelly Preston. She's like, Never stop fucking me. And I'm like, looking at my grandma at like 10, like, uh-oh. But we tried Halloween last, or we tried Ghostbusters last Halloween, and Dan Aykroyd's getting a blowy from a ghost.

Well, my kid now, he's he's into horror movies, which whatever, I don't care. And then he's into like coming of age, like he likes high school movies.

So we watch Days and Confuse. We watched Can't Hardly Wait the other night, and he's watched it like four times since. And then he, so he's like going through all these movie previews, and he's like, Daddy. I want to see American Pie. This looks hilarious.

And I'm like, we can't do that one yet. I'm thinking, like, I thought, though, when I was his age, at what point do I let him watch that movie? Because you think back on it, man, and it's like, It's not as bad as like in taboo as we thought, but still, I mean the dude fucks a pie. I don't, it came out in 99, so I was 15. Yeah, we were older.

Never mind. I wasn't 12. And my parents want to let me see it in the theater. I remember I had to sneak into that one. I had to lie and say I saw snake eyes.

I think I went and saw Lost in Space with Matt LeBlanc. And then I came out and then the cover the lie. Because my dad picked us up. I was like boxing on the way to the car. Like, remember the part where they boxed?

Yeah. Swear on the Bible, dude. I'll never forget because I lied to my dad and I said I went and saw the movie Lost in Space. He goes, All right, well, what was it about? And I go, Well, they get lost they get lost in screening.

Lots of motherfuckers. I mean, you know, fucking. He could have just now these kids can just chat GPT a summary. I know. But I mean I thought it was a dumb question.

Like, what do you mean? What is it about? Obviously, they don't just know the directions of where they're going in space.

Well, yeah, space is vast. It's not like, hey, there's Uranus, let's head to Mars. Or there wouldn't be a fucking movie that featured Joey from Friends and a monkey. All right, that's it. Joey had a little run there where he was cranking.

Was that Ed? The movie Ed? And then didn't he do something terrible, like beat the shit out of his wife or something? But yeah, no, the the baseball movie. Ed, wasn't it Ed?

I think so. Yeah, I forgot about that. The baseball play and monkey. And then there's a monkey and lost in space. What the fuck?

Crazy. Good year for the channel. You guys are all worried about trans playing in the WNBA, even though none are. Monkeys were playing baseball in the late 90s. You didn't give a fuck.

And dogs were shooting hoops. Yep, airbod. He was also a golden retriever. Receiver, too. Yes, he was the golden receiver.

Yeah. He was more reliable than fucking Equinamius St. Brown was in the NFC Championship game. Yeah. We will be back next week with picks.
