It is the JR Sport Brief Show here on CBS Sports Radio. Happy Monday night to you. Hope you had a tremendous weekend, a great Monday, a good Monday night.

I'm going to have you a good old time for the next four hours. I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you so much to our producer holding it down tonight, Carlos Ortiz, holding it down in New York City. But again, most importantly, thank you to you. Yeah, you. Everybody listening all over North America. People in their cars, people making deliveries, people at work, people at home, people relaxing, chilling, whatever you're doing. Thank you for tuning in.

It's really that simple. As I said, I'll be here for the next four hours. This is when I get started. 10 p.m. Eastern time, 7 p.m. Pacific. It is Monday night.

And you know what that means. We got Monday night football right now. The Denver Broncos lead the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo.

The score right now, 15 to 8. Josh Allen is in a space right now where he doesn't want to be. Ten total interceptions on the season. He has now tied Mac Jones. That is not a place where you want to be.

That is not company that you want to keep. That's three turnovers here in the first half for the Buffalo Bills. They trailed Denver 15 to 8. Maybe the Buffalo Bills can put some more points on the board if they can actually hold on to the football.

That's been the name of the game here in the first half. In addition to a lot of miserable, as you can imagine, miserable looking, Buffalo Bills fans. Hands in their face, just holding their faces.

They look shocked. And so Buffalo is trying to avoid falling to.500. And the Denver Broncos, I mean, wow.

They've been able to turn their season around since they've been punched in the face by the Miami Dolphins with that 70-point game. So we'll keep you up to date on Monday Night Football as things continue on. One more time, the Broncos lead the Bills at the half, 15 to 8. They're getting ready to be underway in the second half momentarily. We've obviously had a big, big weekend in the NFL. It seems like every game imaginable came down to a field goal.

So we'll talk about some of the matchups. Jim Harbaugh. This man didn't coach this past Saturday.

Had his offensive coordinator out there holding things down and actually shed a tear. The Clippers lose another game. The Browns, I don't know if they look good or bad. They had to come back.

I guess that's good. Against the Ravens, the two New York teams got decimated again. The Giants get destroyed by the Cowboys. The Jets look like ass against the Raiders. C.J.

Stroud looks amazing. And so it seems that everything that took place or has taken place over the last several months in the NFL, it all feels the same. And so we're going to talk about it all. If you want to talk to us here at CBS Sports Radio, the number 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. You can also get a hold of me. I'm everywhere. I'm online, on social media.

I am at JR Sport Brief. Carlos, how are you tonight, man? Thank you for holding it down. Oh, no, it's my pleasure, JR. Everything appears to be everything.

No complaints, got air in your lungs, so it's always a good thing. Let me ask you a question, JR. Because normally you ask the questions to Shep. Go for it.

But I'll go for one right here. Yeah, nice. You saw what happened over the weekend with the interim coach for Michigan, you know, crying, blubbering after the game.

And I know we're going to get into it a little bit here. My question is, do you think Shep cries when you're out post-show? He's like, you know, I couldn't have done this without JR. You know, got to thank JR for everything he does.

How come we don't have that audio from Shep? Does he cry after the show? What do you mean does he cry after the show?

Is he emotional when you got to take a day off or he's got to sit in for you? Is he emotional? I don't think so. Yeah, what do you think?

No. Why is he crying? He's a grown man. Apparently grown men can cry on TV after an emotional win when Jim Harbaugh gets suspended. It brings a man to his tears. Oh, well, it brought this man to tears and Carlos is talking about Sharron Moore.

I don't think Shep cries when I'm gone. But Sharron Moore fills in for Jim Harbaugh. I know when we left here on Friday night, there was still so many questions about whether or not Jim Harbaugh and the school was going to get that injunction passed and heard in time to get him back on the sidelines.

And the answer is no. And so Michigan still went out there without Harbaugh on his sidelines and he beat Penn State the final score 24 to 15. It's such a wild scenario. Last week it was about Caleb Williams crying after USC lost and a realization that he wasn't going to no damn bowl game. And he goes up to his mom. He's in the stands and he starts boo hooing and crying and we had to have days of conversation as to whether or not it was appropriate for a college student to cry in his mother's arms. And then fast forward a week and a couple of days ago. Yeah, we got Sharron Moore, offensive coordinator from Michigan, filling in for Jim Harbaugh.

Very emotional, right? Friday we find out that Harbaugh is not going to coach. He finds out on the plane.

And no, we have to file court orders and try to have a hearing to get him back. And Saturday morning we learned that Coach Harbaugh, he's not going to be able to coach. And Sharron Moore goes out there and they beat Penn State. And after the game, when it was all said and done, Sharron Moore on television, he just he just boo hooed, you know, following the game. He wanted to show Harbaugh just so much love.

Listen to this if you missed it. Well, I thank the Lord. I thank Coach Harbaugh. Love you, man. Love you, man. This is for you. For this university, the president, our AD.

We got the best players, best university, best alumni in the country. Love you guys. These guys right here. These guys right here, man. These guys did it. These guys did it, man.

Talk to him, man. You would think Jim Harbaugh croaked. Not that he got suspended because one of his minions, minions, minions was out here, you know, stealing signals at games and at away games before the game. You would think that somebody died. Look, who am I to judge? I don't know. Maybe Sharon Moore would be living out on the street if it weren't for Jim Harbaugh. Maybe he wouldn't be coaching college if it wasn't for Harbaugh.

At the same time, Sharon Moore used to play. I don't know. But for whatever it is, he owes Jim Harbaugh a whole lot.

He's out here boo hooing in front of the whole country. And so next up, the next game. For Michigan, a little bit easier. It's going to be Maryland. They take on Maryland, Max. And you tell me, you know, whether or not you think they're going to win. I think they'll win. I think they're going to smash them.

We might be looking at a 45 to 3 game. But besides that, they got their hearing on Friday. The hearing that they wanted to have this past week to keep Harbaugh on the sidelines, that's going to take place this Friday. And so if you understand the suspension, Jim Harbaugh can coach throughout the week. But what he can't do is stand on the sidelines and coach on Saturdays. And so what does that mean? He was back today speaking to the media, leading his team and letting everybody know that, yes, there's a hearing on Friday.

And I am going to defend myself. Listen to coach Harbaugh. I'm not going to make any comments about where things stand with the ongoing circumstances because we have a hearing on Friday. The support of President Ono, the Board of Regents, Board manual is greatly appreciated, as is tremendous support of our alumni fan base towards our incredible football team. They keep talking about the alumni and the fan base. Are they trying to raise money for a defense fund?

Like, what are they doing? Sharron Moore wins the game on Saturday, where at least he's the coach, interim coach on Saturday. He's talking about how Michigan has the best fans in the country. And then you hear Harbaugh joining here a couple of hours ago, earlier today, letting everybody know about Michigan alumni and everybody across the country. And then he took it a step further.

I don't know if they're trying to elicit sympathy throughout the country. I don't know what they're doing at Michigan. Harbaugh took it a step further. He said that Michigan could be, might as well be, possibly could be America's team. Yeah, Watts and I would have to say to everybody, it's got to be America's team. It's got to be America's team. America loves a team that beats the odds, beats the adversity, overcomes what the naysayers and critics, so-called experts, think.

That's my favorite kind of team. And yeah, watching it from that view on the television, it was, finally, people get to see what I see every day. What? We're back to this? Like, this is where we're at right now? Did he have to say America's team?

Did he have to say that? Jim Harbaugh's accurate. We love a great story here in America. We love a team that climbs high and then, you know, they fall and then you have the redemption story. We love a good redemption story. I don't know if Michigan is a sympathetic figure here. And it's not so much about Michigan. I don't know if Jim Harbaugh is a sympathetic figure. Like, let's be real here.

A little quirky of an individual, right? This man doesn't leave organizations. Hello, 49ers.

You know, necessarily with the most positive of outlooks. This is a dude who, at the beginning of the season, was basically serving a self-imposed suspension because of recruiting violations. This is a man right now who's overseeing a program that had a, I don't want to call him a minion, a former Marine, but on the football side, this man was over here breaking rules. A rule, even though it's stupid, has been in effect since 1994.

Somebody help me out here. Help me see where Michigan is the little engine that could. Somebody help me see here where Michigan is a sympathetic figure. I mean, Harbaugh is the man at the top of the totem pole who's overseeing a program that has had some issues, that's overseeing a program that has had him miss so far four games via suspension this season. Like, you the boss, the bunt got to stop with you. And also, let's be clear here, this is college athletics.

The young men on this squad, they're going to come, they're going to go, there's going to be a new wave, a new iteration, and everybody goes away. If you want to be anybody's team, just be Michigan's team. What gives you, what constitutes being America's team? You know, we've heard this before with the Dallas Cowboys, still America's team. We can thank everybody that served and played on the Cowboys and the branding of America's team is one of the greatest branding jobs here in North America, not just in sports, but for selling anything. But Michigan?

Spare us, save us. Yeah, there's tons of alum all over the country. Plenty of people proud to be Wolverines. But America's team? We don't, we don't need a college version.

We definitely don't need a college version from a guy who doesn't come across as too likable. You think Michigan right now? Who's the biggest name? Who's the biggest personality?

Who's the biggest car bar? Now think for a minute. What makes him likable? What makes him a sympathetic figure? The last time I checked, if I wanted to think about other teams that have been punished, suspended, got in trouble for cheating, the last I looked, America can't particularly like them, or America doesn't particularly like them. It's the Houston Astros. People kind of shrug their shoulders at Barry Bonds. Nobody likes Lance Armstrong.

Alex Rodriguez. I'm not saying that Jim Harbaugh is injecting people with stuff, but I think you get my drift. Nobody likes a cheater. Not to say Harbaugh, he said he didn't know about it. But he's the boss. Save us with the whole America's team. Don't argue about that with the Dallas Cowboys.

We don't need another one. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. Just getting warmed up.

Just getting started. So much to do throughout the course of the night. They're past halftime here in Buffalo. Denver still leads the Bills 15 to 8.

We're going to keep you updated on that game as it continues on. We're going to get into the Browns who came back and beat the Ravens. You know, I just mentioned to you the Dallas Cowboys. You got a wide receiver on the Cowboys who thinks he is the best wide receiver in the entire NFL. We got the best rookie in the NFL. I know exactly who that is.

That's CJ Stroud. We're going to talk about it all. And the phone lines are open if you want to give me a holler. That's 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. I will not make any proclamations that this is America's radio show. This show is just for the people.

And when we come back on the other side of the break. You want to talk about a coach? Jim Harbaugh? Is he controversial? What about Belichick? At least he made it back to America without getting fired.

We'll talk about Belichick and the trip to Germany that did not go the way that he would plan. It's the JR Sport Reshow getting you started here Monday night on CBS Sports Radio. It's 855-212-4CBS. Looks like the Buffalo Bills may actually catch a break here. They've already had three turnovers themselves. Looks like they have fumbled or, excuse me, recovered a fumble by the Denver Broncos so maybe, maybe the Buffalo Bills can go ahead and get themselves a score here. Something that the Denver Broncos have taken advantage of.

At this point, the Broncos still lead the Bills. The score, 15-8. Right before we went to break, we talked about some college football. Michigan, that's the biggest story right now in college football. Jim Harbaugh suspended. Michigan still went out there and beat Penn State 24-15.

And now Jim Harbaugh says that people love teams that bounce back from adversity and Michigan now must be America's team. I'm like, oh, here we go. Spare me.

Save me. He's trying to be a sympathetic figure. He's trying to make sure that Michigan is still involved in a college football playoff. He's trying to do whatever he can. Master politician right now by Jim Harbaugh.

And then I'm going to tell you about somebody else. He's the opposite of a politician. His name is Bill Belichick.

Yes, he still has a job. We'll get to that momentarily. 855-2124. CBS. Greg is calling for Michigan. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Go ahead. Oh my God, JR. Mr. Positive. I got to tell you.

What's wrong with my bills? Number one. Number two. Jim Harbaugh. America's favorite team. Really? The controversy. The trouble he's gotten us into. I'm glad we're winning, but America's team?

Really? Is he delusional? I mean, come on.

What's going on here? I mean, I just can't believe this guy. He gets into a fight with Schwartz when he was a coach in the pros. I mean, really? I think he's had too many hits to the head there, JR.

I'm just a little bit shocked that he had the audacity to say that because no. We're a good team, but we're always going to have that cloud of cheating over us in so many different ways. Michigan State with all the peccadillos. Geez, I'm proud of Michigan, but come on now. The state of Michigan, but I mean, it's one controversy after another. Well, spot on.

I think it's crazy. Well, thank you. Thank you, Greg.

Appreciate you for calling from Michigan. I don't dispute that. But can you really be surprised at anything that Jim Harbaugh says? I mean, he has he's been known to stand in front of the media. I don't want to say wild and crazy things, but it's times he hasn't been honest. I mean, let's let's be real from the jump. If I got to go back to last offseason, like at the conclusion of last year, this man was was trying to get back into the NFL and told everybody, I'm not trying to go.

I'm not going. And then he sat down and had an interview with Minnesota, thought that he had the job and then had to do quasi damage control on the way back. And then Michigan went along with it and basically said, oh, well, now we'll give you a contract. And so what what Jim Harbaugh says at any point in time doesn't necessarily hold water.

I wouldn't follow anything that he says. And, Greg, as you talk about your your bills here, I know that they're trying, trying to actually score in the red zone right now off of that fumble recovery. And they're a couple of yards away from doing so.

First and goal, 15 to eight, the Broncos lead the Bills get back to that game as it continues on. I do want to mention this. I told you that you don't necessarily want to trust anything that Jim Harbaugh says. And he's given everybody good reason not to.

I think over the past several years. Well, there's a head coach in the NFL who, when he does talk, he don't give you nothing. He doesn't give you anything positive.

He doesn't give you anything negative. And that's Bill Belichick in the most miserable way possible. The New England Patriots had to go overseas to Frankfurt, Germany, to get their asses whooped and come back with another L. Their eighth loss of the season, the New England Patriots are now two and eight after losing to the Colts 10 to six.

What a fancy game this was now, wasn't it? The Patriots haven't been this bad since the year 2000. That is Bill Belichick's first season with the Patriots when the man decided that he was not going to be the H.C. of the N.Y.J. So the New England Patriots stink. Mac Jones stunk.

He was sacked five times. He threw a key interception late. A matter of fact, less than two minutes left in the game. Bill Belichick said, Mac Jones, sit down here. We're going to go ahead and put Bailey Zappi out there to try to win the game for us.

And it didn't happen. And so now Mac Jones, before Mr. Josh Allen tied him tonight with two interceptions. Mac Jones threw his tenth interception yesterday and he had to go ahead and, as I said, sit his behind down. And so Bill Belichick, after the loss, there were so many, just so many rumors before the game. If Bill Belichick loses, is Bill Belichick going to get fired?

He still has his job right now. And Belichick said, man, at the end of the day, it was missed opportunity after missed opportunity after missed opportunity. Listen. Obviously at this point in game, similar theme that we've had at other games this year is too many missed opportunities in all three phases of the game. So it's got to play better situational football and do a better job taking advantage of the opportunities that we have. We just didn't do a good enough job today.

Wow. Bill Belichick actually strung together a series of sentences. Bill Belichick actually spoke to the media. Yeah, he sounded miserable.

I would be, too, after I took an L like that. But then he actually provided a little bit of something. And then he actually said more. Bill Belichick said, yeah, our guys are doing some work, but as a team, we stink. Listen to this. Look, I think a lot of players are, you know, are playing pretty good football, but, you know, as a team, we're just not doing enough things that we need to do to win. So everybody needs to do better.

Simple as that. Oh, well, that was a couple of more sentences. But thank you, Bill Belichick. I assume that Belichick got himself a couple of beers in Germany. Maybe. Maybe that changed his mind and his demeanor. Maybe it's the bye week coming up.

Maybe it's the fact that he knows, you know, he's not going to get canned. I just find it ridiculous to think that Bill Belichick would get the boot in the middle of the season. And yes, coming back from Germany, the New England Patriots are going to have time off. And then if they want to look on the bright side, they got the New York Giants next. Yes, the pathetic New York Giants. The Giants couldn't find the end zone by accident with the talent that they have out on the field right now. We'll talk about how bad they look, how good the Cowboys went out there and destroyed them. But Bill Belichick, if you're thinking that he's going to get fired, it ain't happening.

Like the man has done too much, accomplished too much. I know the NFL is a what have you done for me lately league. But to fire Bill Belichick in the middle of the season, I don't think it's so much a slap to the face of Bill Belichick.

And this is regardless of what his contractual status is, it's almost a slap to the face of the fans. New England Patriots have actually been run like a decent organization over the past 20 years. Bill Belichick and his draft and his coaching decisions certainly haven't helped over the more recent years post Tom Brady and at the end of Tom Brady. But the Patriots don't need to devolve into a joke by firing one of the most successful head coaches of all time dead smack in the middle of the season. I would think the New England Patriots can do a little bit better than that. And maybe, just maybe, Mac Jones against the New York Giants. If you can't win that game, then I think, yeah, go throw Bailey Zappi out there. What do you have to lose? The Patriots.

This sounds tough to say. They have a record of 2-8. Tom Brady is retired. Bill Belichick, people are calling for his head. What the hell world do we live in? Things must be going upside down, right?

All good things got to come to an end. The Patriots have their day in the sun. It's the JR Sport Reshow here on CBS Sports Radio. 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. As a matter of fact, we have Mac Jones. Carlos, do we have a miserable Mac Jones as well?

Yeah, it's pretty dejected. Yeah, let's hear it. I mean, at the end of the day, I got to play better. So, I mean, to make people believe, you got to be better. So, I'm not sure. I don't know.

That's in reference. The reporter asked Mac Jones, do you think Bill Belichick has confidence in you? And Mac Jones was like, I don't know. Does that sound like a confident QB? It's like Bill Belichick wants to pack this dude up and send him right on back to Alabama.

I wouldn't blame him. Maybe Bill Belichick won't have an opportunity to make any more draft picks, but maybe Nick Saban doesn't get a Christmas card. It's the JR Sport Reshow on CBS Sports Radio.

855-212-4CBS. We'll take a break. We come back on the other side. Yes, Mac Jones is probably on a downswing right now. There's a quarterback for the Browns.

Suspended last year. Hanging out with, hey, Marco Belletti, what's the plural of masseuses? Is it masseuses? I don't know. That's a new one. Massuses?

The plural of massage therapists. I'm aware of what you're asking. Maasai? I don't know. I don't know where we're going.

That's what I was thinking, Maasai. Well, anyway, Deshaun Watson was hanging out with too many of them. And now he's trying to be on a little bit of a bounce back.

And then he's also having an injury? I mean, there's so much going on with the Browns. We're going to talk about them on the other side of the break. We're going to get into what's going on with the Ravens, the Cowboys.

We mentioned them smacking up those New York Giants. But right now, you just heard his voice. It's time for a newsflash. What's going on right now?

Here's Marco Belletti. You're listening to the J.R. Sportbrief on CBS Sports Radio. I'll tell you. The Buffalo Bills turn the ball over again in their own territory. The game is tied at 15 all. Josh Allen is supposed to hand the ball off to James Cook. Supposed to.

And they don't complete it. My main man, Alex Singleton. Shout outs to Alex Singleton. Great work with Special Olympics. Great guy. Hits anything that moves.

But he's a great human being. The man falls on the fumble and now you have the Denver Broncos just just staring in their own end zone. It's the end of the third quarter and Denver is threatening to score in Buffalo Bills territory because of the fourth Buffalo Bills turnover of the night. You can't you can't make this up.

You really can't. 8 5 5 2 1 2 for CBS. It's 8 5 5 2 1 2 for CBS. If Buffalo loses, even if Buffalo wins this game, their issues with turnovers are going to be highlighted. Win or lose, it doesn't matter.

Win, lose or draw, I should say. And we're going to talk about the Browns momentarily. Before we do that, Paul is here from Rhode Island. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Please, Paul, go ahead. Thank you, Jay.

I'll take my phone call. Your show was priceless either way. I can't believe that Buffalo is trying to give this game away. I can't believe the Lions trying to give the game away to the Chargers the other day. Yes, last night. And the other day, the same thing. The Raiders, same thing.

Same thing happened. I just don't understand how these guys are not privileged to pay for their paycheck. My Patriots actually should be fed chicken gizzards and white rice instead of a white paycheck on Monday morning. That was disgusting.

The Patriots, what they did in Germany. Thank God. Thank God my Lions survived because they got one game back from that Seattle overtime game. That's all I have to say, Jay. OK.

Thank you, Paul, for calling from Rhode Island. He doesn't want the New England Patriots to get paid because they look terrible. I mean, they're football players. They're trying, right? You want to feed them white rice and gizzards?

That's rather colorful. They're football players, man. They're trying to earn their money. Ain't no half stepping around on an NFL field. You get hit, you're done. You know, I would think the NFL, I mean, outside of being a lazy offensive lineman, there's no tiptoeing around playing on that field, man.

It's too dangerous. Give them their credit. And your reference to the New England Patriots, what were they supposed to do? Win forever? They're supposed to win after Tom Brady?

Still compete for championships? They're a team that's starting over. They're resetting.

Give them a full break there. Speaking of a team that's trying to reset, I don't know if we want to even consider this a full reset. Talking about the Browns.

I mean, when you decide to give Deshaun Watson a fully guaranteed $230 million deal, I'm expecting a little bit more than a reset. I'm expecting playoff contention. And the Browns, just like a lot of teams yesterday, as Paul just mentioned, we had quite a few comebacks. Field goal victories. Field goal wins. I mean, a matter of fact, the Browns were down 14 points in the fourth quarter to the Ravens yesterday, and they came back and beat them 33 to 31.

Maybe it wouldn't have even had to have gone that far. Greg Newsome on the Browns at one point in time, well, he scored on a pick six, and then the kicker missed the extra point. But Dustin Hopkins got another chance to hit a game-winning 40-yard kick to win them the game. Fourteen points down, the Browns were. Then Deshaun Watson, he was able to throw a touchdown to Elijah Moore, and then you had that pick six, make up some quick points, and that was pretty much all she wrote, the Browns over the Ravens. The Browns now have a record of six and three. The Ravens fall to seven and three. And it looks like the Browns might be on a little bit of an up-and-up right here. Unfortunately, Deshaun Watson left the game with his foot in the boot.

He says that he's going to be all set and ready to play against Pittsburgh next Sunday. And the Ravens, they don't have too much time to turn things around, because the Ravens are going to host the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday. If you didn't know this, the Cincinnati Bengals, they had a loss of their own against the Texans.

But we'll get into that. I know we talked about one Harbaugh already earlier in the show. It's Jim Harbaugh of Michigan. His brother, John, head coach of the Baltimore Ravens. He talked about them choking away the game after leading by 14 points.

Listen to this. You saw the fourth quarter, you know, seeing the plays that were made. You know, the plays that were made and we weren't able to finish it, you know, in terms of offensively, one drive late in the fourth quarter there where we had to punt and then not getting them stopped. And the turnovers. Yeah, well, the turnover. Yeah, Lamar Jackson throwing a ball that gets tipped and gets taken the other way for six points.

Can't necessarily control that. And I told you, Baltimore is going to have to turn around. And I know we we always rail about how terrible, terrible these Thursday night games have been. This should actually be a good one because coming up on Thursday night, we're going to have an opportunity to see an AFC North matchup with Cincinnati and the Ravens. And so this is a quick turnaround to get things together.

Somebody has to win this one. This is what Harbaugh had to say about turning things around only a few days later. All three phases and the coaching staff. So we've got to put it behind us. It's a long season in the NFL. You have games like this. You do lose games like this in this league. And we've got to bounce back and play our best football on Thursday night.

Well, thank you, right? I mean, after all of these crap matchups that we've gotten, I need I need a make good just for last night's game. The fact that the New York Jets played the Raiders in America had to sit down and watch that.

We all deserve a make good this upcoming Thursday. And so thank you Cincinnati for losing. And thank you, Ravens for losing because they're going to be fighting and scratching and clawing just to get back on track. And for the Browns, yes, it took a 14 point comeback.

It took a little bit of a miracle for them to turn things around. But this is why they got Deshaun Watson, right? I don't know if he's I don't know if he actually.

Well, somebody is going to give it to you. You deserve it. I don't know if he should have gotten two hundred and thirty million dollars guaranteed. But this is why they have him. He is still, I find, to be one of the best quarterbacks in the game. I still think he's rounding himself into two to playing shape. And I think he's still getting used to his new surroundings after that 11 game suspension last year for the inappropriate activity with massage therapist. And Deshaun Watson, after the victory in his walking boot, he talked about fighting through adversity.

I guess he would know. I can deal with the adversity. I can deal with the noise. I can deal with all that. I mean, all that stuff comes and goes.

It's part of football. But, you know, in this game, in this business, it's hard. And you have ups and downs and you've got to deal with it. And if you can deal with it and get through those ups and flows and do whatever you can to get that win, it doesn't matter how you win, especially on the road, divisional match like this. As long as we get the W, that's all that matters. They got the W. The Browns are a quiet six and three.

Is there such thing as a quiet six and three? Nobody's talking about the Browns. This was a matchup between the top two defenses in the NFL yesterday and they gave up 33 and 31 points.

They punched each other in the mouth. And so would anybody be surprised if the Cleveland Browns were back in the playoffs after they went 7 and 10 last year? We didn't see Deshaun Watson until it was a little too late in the season to turn things around because the man didn't play.

And so last year was a wash in this year. I mean, given it probably have to come be a wild card unless the Ravens completely take out the rest of the year. I'd be surprised if the Browns weren't in the postseason. And let's also keep in mind that they're running back. And Nick Chubb, man, he dislocated just about everything in his kneecap.

And these Browns are still able to move the football. Head coach Kevin Stefanski, he talked about Deshaun Watson being able to bounce back and pretty much said he's a tough you-know-what. Well, he's a warrior.

He battled through an ankle injury in the second half. You know, he's a listen that the first one gets tipped. Kid makes a great play.

It is what it is. But he'll get that will get better from that. But he's a warrior. He's a warrior. I mean, people have called him other things away from the field.

But at least on the field of play, he's a warrior. Deshaun Watson says he's going to be all set and ready from his ankle injury, said he's not worried or concerned about it, and that he will be perfectly fine and ready to go against the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday. I think people need to start paying attention to the Browns, especially with what that defense is doing. 8 5 5 2 1 2 for CBS. Tony is calling from Texas.

You are CBS Sports Radio. What's up, Tony? Hey, how you doing? I'm excellent.

How are you? All right, man. I was just calling on on behalf of Bill Belichick in his defense. I can say that Tom Brady saw the ship sinking. It's not like Tom Brady left and the team went down. Tom Brady got beat in the wild-court game by the Titans.

He saw the ship sinking. Tom Brady jumped ship and went somewhere else when he saw the Patriots scheme was deteriorating. So I get sick of people talking about, oh, the Patriots just went down and Bill Belichick has none since Tom Brady left. I'm tired of that. I'm sick of hearing.

Well, what's the what's the difference? It's true. Yeah, I'm saying though, people people are acting as if Tom Brady when he left the whole thing sunk. It was sinking when he was there. Yeah, it well, it was sinking, but it was a stamp when he walked out of the door that they were officially cooked. I mean, if we have to look at the numbers and thank you, Tony, for calling from Texas, look at the statue, look at the numbers.

Tom Brady's not there. They don't even make the postseason. And so, yeah, I think all good things come to an end. It's like a marriage. It's like you hang out long enough. Sometimes you go, damn it, it's time to move on.

Sometimes you say, hey, I want to stick it out. I think the relationship between Tom Brady and Belichick and the Patriots after 20 years. I think Tom Brady's like, hey, I need to go on to greener pastures. What's going to last that long?

Nothing. I don't know if I'll see a quarterback team coach relationship like that. Probably ever again.

Not in my lifetime. It's the chair of sport brie show here on CBS Sports Radio. We're going to take a break. When we come back on the other side, I'll give you an update on Monday Night Football. And then I want to tell you about these cowboys beat up on the Giants and C.D.
