It is the JR Sport free show on CBS Sports Radio. I am coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. I'm going to be hanging out here with you for the next three hours. An hour from now, I'm going to bring you a new top six list. We're going to talk about some of the biggest divas, the top six divas in the world of sports, but we'll wait on that.

I get started every single weeknight, 10 p.m. Eastern time, 7 p.m. Pacific. We have talked about Aaron Rodgers, made it clear that he wants to play for the Jets and the Green Bay Packers. They don't want him anymore.

He'll move on. We talked about Baker Mayfield. Baker Mayfield is moving on to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ezekiel Elliott has been given the boot by the Dallas Cowboys Juju Smith Schuster. He's moving on to the Patriots three year deal.

Thirty three million dollars. Sean Morant. He's been suspended eight games. He'll be back soon though.

He did a whole interview today with Jalen Rose. We'll share that with you. And then last break, about a half hour ago, the worst has come to fruition when it comes to the World Baseball Classic. I've been telling you for weeks, don't care about the WBC. Don't really care about spring training. Let's just get through spring training.

Let's get to the regular season and let's just see what happens from there, okay? I haven't been interested in the WBC since probably its inception approximately 15 years ago. I just don't care. You know, a couple of nights ago we had Puerto Rico. I spoke to a New York Mets fan about this earlier today and it's just like, oh yeah, Puerto Rico pitched a combined perfect game or no hitter. I'm like, who did they play? Israel. Like, oh, okay. Well, who the hell is on that team? I mean, I look at Great Britain and it's like, oh, who's on that team? A bunch of guys, family related, that, you know, Great Britain used to colonize. I'm like, oh, okay.

By association. And so today, Puerto Rico beat the Dominican Republic 30 minutes ago. It's great. Five to two. That's actually a rivalry that would be worth giving a damn about until the celebration. I guess there was a little bit too much celebrating because Puerto Rico won the game five to two. But in the midst of the celebration, players joining arms, locking arms, jumping up and down and waving flags on the field, the New York Mets, 100 million dollar pitcher, the man the New York Mets just gave a five-year 100 million dollar contract to Edwin Diaz. He went down with an injury. Amidst all of the jumping up and down, adjacent to the mound, Edwin Diaz goes down onto the grass in a heap. He is laying on the ground.

His fellow teammates are pointing at him. He needs help. He needs help. Edwin Diaz is lifted up. He cannot walk. He cannot plant his right foot into the grass to walk. He needs two people to take him off of the field. They pick him up.

Edwin Diaz says, no, put me down. He is walked with two, one guy on each side. He is dragging his right leg. His right foot is pointing outward. Edwin Diaz's leg is going in a direction.

It's not supposed to go. And Edwin Diaz, I ain't no doctor. This man going to be out a long time. And I know the New York Mets. I know Steve Cohen.

I know Buck Showalter. I know someone like Max Scherzer, who a few days ago says, I don't understand. I cannot play in a playoff style tournament.

In a playoff style tournament while my body is still getting set. I know they are all pissed off. Here, if you want to know what type of scene was going on, we had players crying on the field and hands on heads and disbelief. This is the play or this is the end of the game.

This is the scene from FS2. They're ridiculous. You had Robinson Cano on hands on his head. Guys were crying. They had to put the guy in a wheelchair.

And we got folks here. I'm looking at a tweet right now. Somebody telling me that a guy, oh, well, this could have happened at home. Well, yeah, you can get hurt at home. And he's like, he's like, oh, a guy broke his wrist at home. And I can think of a million stories.

Glenn Allen Hill, you know, having a nightmare about spiders. We got guys who have cut their hands opening up boxes. Yeah, injuries can happen at home. Not in this regard for a meaningless tournament before a season.

The WBC, the placement of it is dangerous. That's why I don't even want to care about spring training. The first thought is get through it.

This is the scene from FS2. The Dominican players, they're all top step right now, fearing for him and feeling for him as well. Yeah, Matt Scherzer of the New York Mets said it perfectly a few days ago. I can't see myself getting just getting revved up before a season starts to play in a semi World Series intensity atmosphere.

And I'm not even at full peak strength. Like there's a reason for spring training. There's a reason for it. And the New York Mets now unfortunately are going to have to pay for it. And in a separate way, the New York Mets are just, are they as cursed as cursed can be? You know, if you don't live in New York, you may not know this. There is a whole lot, tons, there's a whole lot of New York Mets fans who also like the New York Jets.

I guess misery loves company. And so on one hand, you have the New York Jets who have now added Aaron Rodgers. And you would think that would be a yeah, we got Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.

And on the other hand, on the same damn day that the man says he wants to play for the Jets, something that jet fans will probably not hear too much in their lives. They have to learn that Edwin Diaz is out for God knows how long, because he was hurt celebrating at the World Baseball Classic. This is not the same as getting hurt at home. Yeah, you can walk outside and get hit by a bus.

You can slice your finger off opening up an Amazon box at home. This ain't what happened. The point is, this is a preseason baseball tournament that Major League Baseball is legitimately going to have to look at when they hold it to just minimize the risk of injury. And yeah, this was not an injury in the the field of play. This was a celebration, a celebratory injury. And we've seen this before.

Most famously, Martine Grammatica, you know, ripping his whole leg, celebrating a damn kick. It can happen. But this is nuts. Is it a fluke?

Hell yeah, it's a fluke. You can get hurt anywhere at any time, especially if you're a professional athlete. John Wall, with John Wall fell down the steps.

A guy sliced his finger, cutting an apple for his kid. Jeff Kent will lie to you and tell you he broke his wrist washing his motorcycle. But come on now. The WBC is stupid. It's manufactured to make money, to try to elicit national pride and nationalism and baseball. This is not the World Cup. This is something that's 15 years old. Baseball said, let's create something that's interesting.

And this is the same idea that anyone would have when you want to sell something in an easy way. Hey, people want to represent their countries. They want to represent where they're from, whether it's boxing or soccer and baseball said, let's do it. Well, when should we do it? In preseason. And let's have Israel take on Puerto Rico. Half the damn world don't even play this stick ball game, man. Come on. WBC is nuts. And now the Mets, it's fluke. The Mets got to pay. 855-212-4CBS. Lee is here from San Diego.

What's on your mind, Lee? I want to touch on this world baseball classic. I agree with you 100%, man. There's no way these guys should be in there playing and risking injury. I feel so bad for the Mets and I'm a San Diego Padres fan, dude. And I'm still worried about Hugh Darvish and Manny Machado and Juan Soto getting injured in this thing. Yeah, well, maybe they won't be jumping up and down near the mound. Maybe that'll keep them.

I hope not, bro. This should be just AAA players and prospects playing in this thing and maybe call it. I don't know, but you shouldn't put your players out there in a meaningless tournament. That's my opinion. It's there. It's there.

And thank you, Lee, for calling from San Diego. It exists to promote the game, right? We talk about that all the time. Baseball needs promotion. Baseball needs to show its personality. Baseball needs to have some excitement. Maybe if baseball had the excitement of what you saw today between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, maybe more people in America would care about the game if some of that excitement, some of that enthusiasm took place in the middle of the games.

It doesn't. You watch a baseball game, for the most part, outside of the action, it's like sitting at a funeral. It's like going to church. There is no enthusiasm to typically hype up the batter from the dugouts.

There's no music. Yeah, you'll get the chanting and the banging, but man, you go to a baseball game in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, it's a party, man. It's fun. It's life.

It's lively. And so nobody, if people don't already give a damn about some of the pros participating in the World Baseball Classic, why should anybody, anybody care about prospects? Do anything. Half of the team, some of these teams are prospects anyway. Play the World Baseball Classic at the end of the year. See who still wants to play. Instead of doing a Winter Ball and DR, just make them play after the season.

It's nuts. And the New York Mets, they're the ones who now have to pay. What do we wait on now?

Just to see whether or not Edwin Diaz is out for the season. And based on the direction his leg was pointing, I'm going to say we will not see that man for quite some time. At least Steve Cohen is wealthy, right? Four years, 100 million dollars.

You know what I mean? But the New York Mets as a team? It looks like the New York Mets just lost their closer, celebrating at a meaningless tournament. It sucks.

He spoke for the first time today. We got a lot to do here on CBS Sports Radio. It's the JR Sport Reshow on CBS Sports Radio. You know, it don't matter how the injury took place or how it occurred. Everybody's worst nightmare has come true this evening at the World Baseball Classic. Puerto Rico beat the Dominican Republic 5-2. In the midst of celebrating off the side of the mound, the players were kind of in those circles, celebratory circle, jumping up and down.

We won, we won, we won. Well, Edwin Diaz ended up on the ground and it looks like he has, well, it doesn't look like, well, it doesn't look like. The man has a leg injury.

His leg was pointing in the wrong damn direction. The whole world stopped in the celebration. Puerto Rico players, some of them had tears in their eyes. Some of the players from the Dominican Republic are rubbing their temples. They're standing in the dugout. And it's a shame because Edwin Diaz, he's the New York Mets star closer. He was the best closer.

He was the best reliever in Major League Baseball last season. The New York Mets just gave him a $100 million four-year deal. The New York Mets are trying to win the World Series. They are going all in and they had this injury happen at the WBC, which is still a nascent tournament.

It's trying to, you know, garner a whole lot of support. There are a lot of folks that feel off and on about it, including someone like, like Max Scherzer. It was only a few days ago when Edwin Diaz, one of his own teammates, Max Scherzer, World Series champ going into the Hall of Fame, whenever he calls it quits, he's on the Mets to win a World Series. And Max Scherzer was like, hey, I can't, I can't compete in a tournament like this pre-season and I'm trying to get revved up. It just doesn't make sense.

Maybe in the middle of the year it would. A matter of fact, don't take my word for it. This is what Max Scherzer told the media just a few days ago.

Listen to this. For me personally, I looked at it and you know, I'm like, I'm not ready to step into a quasi-playoff game right now, you know, physically. I feel like if I do that, I'm rolling the dice with my arm. It's hard enough to try to make 33 starts, try to throw 200 innings as it is already with a normal ramp up in spring.

I just feel like if I'm trying to, if I go out there and try to do too much early in spring, it really could affect me throughout the season. Like I said, it would be rolling the dice with it. So to say, you know, would there be a format where if the WBC was during the season, I think you would get more pitcher participation. And more importantly, I think it would be more exciting for the fans because you would actually have starters built up. You wouldn't have guys on pitch counts or, you know, whatever it is that you'd actually have real guys going at it. It'd be a real game. Yeah. Well, Edwin Diaz didn't get hurt in a real game.

He got hurt in a celebration. It's a fluke. It sucks.

I'd be real interested to see how they go about adjusting this. We wouldn't dare see one of these celebrations in the regular season, but I get it. This is not a regular season game.

Great show as usual. So when you watch the video of them, of the players celebrating, you can see the players on the outside of the circle. They're jumping up off of the shoulders of the guys in the middle, and Diaz was right in the middle of that, and if they were to list on his shoulders, his leg just snapped from all that weight and pressure that was during that. Well, it could be. We don't know. We'll find out.

Don't want to speculate. But another thing, you said that the Mets got to pay him. Now, they have to have some language in the contract that if you get hurt in this tournament that your contract for the year, you can't get paid, right?

No, I don't believe that's the case. Edwin Diaz has a $100 million contract. The New York Mets contracted to pay him for four years. I don't believe there would be a clause that would preclude him from being paid. I think he will be paid. Okay, okay. If that happens to be there, we will find out. Have the New York Mets personally insured or have insurance on him? I'm certain that they do. Am I telling you that that's not the case?

I want to hedge and say, I'm not going to say certainly, but I feel very confident they don't have an out where they will now dump Edwin Diaz to the curb. I highly doubt that. Okay, man. Be well. Thanks.

They let, they allowed these dudes to go play and now, now they're paying for it. Hey, Luis Severino is a New York Yankee. Luis Severino, for the New York Yankees, is someone who has played at an all star level. Luis Severino could have gone into the World Baseball Classic and played for the Dominican Republic.

The New York Yankees said, no. Bruh, you've been hurt. You ain't playing in the WBC. We're paying you. We need your ass right here in Healthy.

And if you're going to get hurt, you're going to do it here, not at the WBC. Larry is calling from San Diego. You're on the chair on Sport Brief Show. What's up, my man? How are you? Long time, no talk. Thank you. I wish I could remember.

What's on your mind, Larry? I was talking about, so I'm a Dominican, right? So back in the day, or to the day now, these guys go and play Fall Ball after the season is over, right? Some of the guys, they go play Fall Ball in the DR for Tigres and the teams that play in Puerto Rico, Dominican in the Caribbean series, right? So no different from the World Baseball Classic. And I'm a Mets fan, diehard Mets fan. Born and raised in Corona, Queens. Like, I love the Mets.

I'm upset. But that kind of accident can happen anywhere off the field or on the field. It's not a baseball accident based on pitching or Tommy John or any of those things. These guys are constantly playing baseball year round, whether it's World Baseball Classic at the beginning or the end of the season.

I really don't think it matters. I think it's about pride and integrating the game across the world. No, I think we're conflating a few things here.

And I actually mentioned not necessarily Fall Ball, but Winter Ball being played in the Dominican Republic or Puerto Rico. And so you are 100 percent correct. This is a flukey injury, correct? I'm not going to say this can happen, anywhere, because that's garbage.

I had someone compare this to someone getting hurt at home, tripping down the steps or falling over a duffel bag. That is, that's- I mean, look at Fernando Tatis Jr. Hold on, Larry. Hold on. Fernando Tatis Jr. is a dumbass. He gets paid a lot of money and he's riding motorcycles without a helmet.

Hold on, Larry. My point to you is, if you want to look at this from a baseball injury perspective, of which this is not, duh, it doesn't make sense. We just heard the audio and we heard a detailed explanation from someone who pitches for the New York Mets at a high level and is going into the Hall of Fame. This would make more sense to have either, A, in the middle of the season or, B, and I said this earlier, I said this last break, I don't know if you heard it, it would make sense to have it post-season when these guys are already done with the year.

That's it. Yeah, but think about, we're talking about Edwin Diaz. He doesn't pitch as many pitches as Max Scherzer. So I get Max Scherzer- No, no, no, no, no, no, Larry, I'm not talking about Edwin Diaz.

Listen to me. I'm talking about the tournament and hole at large. It's not about Edwin Diaz coming out to stupid trumpets and throwing 20 pitches or Max Scherzer going out and saying, oh my God, I got to gut through 100. The point is, overall, for the entire tournament, for the reasons that Max Scherzer just detailed, there's spring training for a reason.

It doesn't matter if you're a closer, the center fielder, the catcher, or whether you got to throw 100 pitches. Spring training exists for a reason. So go ahead and have this tournament. Pre-season, during spring training, when the whole purpose is to ready your body for the grind of the regular season, to do it right now makes zero sense.

It makes sense to hold it at the end of the year. If you got a lot of dudes who are going to participate in winter ball anyway, then let them do it at the WBC. Give everybody something to watch then. Most baseball fans are having to choose between, do I want to watch the world baseball classic? Do I want to watch my team spring training?

I think you'd actually garner more of an audience where you don't got everything going on. You got multiple baseball games going on and split squads and WBC and what station is the WBC on? The NFL is dominating coverage? Let them do this in the winter.

We got March Madness, the NFL, and there's no ideal time, but for the health of the players, and this is outside this being a fluke injury, do this at the end of the year. 855-212-4CBS. Mark is calling from California. What's up, Mark?

What's going on, JR? So, Rogers, right? So, I just can't stand this move.

I mean, it's like, to me, I'm from New York, right? I'm a big Giants fan, so I'm obviously stoked that now they got a quarterback. I mean, I don't know if they're going to be able to get a quarterback. I've been needing one for a while, but tell me how this makes the Jets any better. And I know your take on Rogers, because I've heard a lot over the years, you know, when you're talking about him and stuff, but take a look at the quarterbacks that Rogers faced last year, right?

Kirk Cousins, Justin Fields. Oh, Mark, Mark, Mark, Mark, Mark. I want to save some time here.

I want to save time. One question and I'm going to answer it. I want to be clear here. You're asking me how Aaron Rodgers makes the New York Jets better at the quarterback position?

100%. Okay. What I will tell you, Mark, is very simple.

Go back and watch the quarterback play from the New York Jets last season, okay? Just stop it, JR. That, that, that, that. I'm sorry, Mark. I'm sorry. Come on, Mark.

I'm sorry. That is, hey, Mark, congratulations. I don't, I don't know if you were drinking tonight.

I don't, I don't know what your deal or your M.O. was, Mark. He was acting a little bit sassy on the phone too.

No, it's not acting sassy. Hey, Mark, listen to me. Listen, Mark. That was one of the dumbest questions that I've ever been asked here. And I think I'm pulling up, I don't know. I think I just, I think I just hit exactly three, you know, I'll give it a couple of days, I think.

I think I've been here for exactly three years. That's one of the dumbest questions I've ever heard. You might as well have come on the air and asked me, hey, JR, who's better? Is it, is it Muggsy Bowles or is it Michael Jordan? You might as well have come on the air and asked me, JR, you know, who spends more money? The, you know, the Oakland Athletics or the New York Yankees? You might as well have asked me, you know, is Muhammad Ali the worst fighter and humanitarian of all time?

That was a dumb ass question. I'm sorry. And I don't care how you feel about Aaron Rodgers. The answer is in, watching the New York Jets play last year.

Yeah, what a busy night it is. I mean, damn. Edwin Diaz, something happens with his leg at the World Baseball Classic. Aaron Rodgers earlier on today, he's like, yeah, I want to play for the New York Jets. His other plays didn't want me.

The Green Bay Packers didn't want me. What a world that we live in. And then March Madness is getting ready to start. Jon Morant, we found out he was suspended. He ain't going to have to serve too much more of a suspension.

What a wild night. I want you to hear from Jon Morant in a few minutes. Adam Silver released a statement today about everything going on with Jon Morant. But we'll get there momentarily. 855-2124 CBS. Let's talk to Jared from Knoxville. I believe Kike Hernandez spoke after Edwin Diaz broke his leg. And so I think we might be able to hear from Kike Hernandez from the podium.

We'll wait to see about that. But before we get to Jon Morant, before we try to see about Kike, let's talk to Jared. He's calling from Knoxville. He's let's talk to Jared. He's calling from Knoxville. Jared, you're on CBS Sports Radio. Well, I appreciate being able to come in in front of Jon and that big that big update. But I appreciate the time here.

I just want to make a real quick comment and a question. So, you know, as far as Aaron Rodgers goes, you know, this guy is obviously a Hall of Famer. He's an incredible athlete. He's proven himself time and time again for the Green Bay organization. And to say that and to look back at some of the greats and to see them be willing to part ways from him, I feel like there's a serious culture issue that he brings to the table. And that's what brings championships. You know, that's why he's only had one opportunity at that in a serious level. And I don't know that he'll bring that to the Jets organization. You know, they've got a serious opportunity to run with that.

But obviously, his talent is in the twilight of his career here. You know, it's any organization, no matter if it's corporate sports or whatever, it starts at the top. And the culture is what it is. And it filters down to the bottom.

I don't care if you're sweeping floors, doing whatever. An organization is, it starts at the top and it works its way to the bottom. And this guy feels like he's not. The New York Jets have been, the New York Jets for so long have been so far at the bottom that they're going to risk it.

Like when you're at the bottom, a lot of times you don't have nothing to lose. And that's the position that the New York Jets feel that they're in right now. They're going to risk it.

Everybody knows, and thank you Jad for calling from Knoxville. Everybody knows Aaron Rodgers is not there for a long time. He might be there for one year, two years max. We're going to have to revisit this again next season.

So first things first, over the next few weeks, hopefully it doesn't take months. We have to wait and see what type of compensation that the New York Jets and the Green Bay Packers come to an agreement to to move Aaron Rodgers. Then we're going to have to go through the season and then we're going to have to see how the season ends. Ain't no guarantee that he's going to take them to the Super Bowl. Have their odds increased? The answer is yes. Is that a guarantee?

Hell no. Not a damn thing guaranteed. Ask the Kansas City Chiefs. Any given year they can go to the Super Bowl. Did it work out in their favor every year?

No it didn't. But they have been the most successful team over the past four and five years. Now having said that, win, lose, draw, Super Bowl or not, playoffs or not, we're going to get to December. We're going to get to January.

Possibly February. And we're going to be having the same damn conversation about Aaron Rodgers. Did he wear out his welcome in New York? Does he want to stay in New York with the Jets? Does he want to go back to Oregon and think about retirement?

We're just living in it. I told you Quique Hernandez spoke postgame after the injury to Edwin Diaz. Edwin Diaz celebrating Puerto Rico's win over the Dominican Republic.

The New York Mets star closer. He went down like a heap laying on the floor pointing at his leg. Teammates in tears and crying. And Edwin Diaz had to be walked off, helped off of the field. Could not walk. Could not put weight on his leg.

Had to be put into a wheelchair. And Quique Hernandez, he just spoke to the media and he said, yeah, it's nice to win, but I mean, damn, this is more important. What's the locker room right now feel like, look like, sound like?

Quiet. I mean, comes a certain point that it gets bigger than a game and there's something very unfortunate happened. And, you know, as excited as we were about the game and all that is as one of our brothers and some of us grew up together and all that.

So, we, it's really easy to set aside the game and worry about us as humans. So it definitely doesn't feel in there like we just beat the Dominican Republic to advance. Yeah, well, I'm sure by tomorrow morning, lunchtime, we will all know the specific injury with Edwin Diaz, whether it is a broken leg, an injury, a broken leg, a torn Achilles, a broken ankle, we're going to find out. I just know that nobody's leg is supposed to bend the way it bended or even point in the direction that he had it in. Had no control over that right leg. Didn't want to walk on it. Didn't want to be picked up. It's just, I feel bad for Mets fans. It stinks. Every time the Mets look like they might be on their way, and maybe this could be a great story that they can come back from.

I have no idea. We've been waiting on Aaron Rodgers. You know, we'll, Mets fans will wait on Edwin Diaz. The NBA, the world of the NBA did not have to wait any longer today when it came down to Ja Morant. The NBA concluded its investigation. They could not find any proof or evidence that the weapon that Ja Morant had in his Instagram live video belonged to him.

The NBA could not find evidence that the weapon was with him on the team plane. And so as a result, Ja Morant has been suspended eight games without pay for con conduct detrimental to the league. Ja Morant sat down with Adam Silver in New York and Adam Silver released a statement. Ja Morant's conduct was irresponsible, reckless, and potentially very dangerous. It also has serious consequences given his enormous following and influence, particularly among young fans who look up to him. He has expressed sincere contrition and remorse for his behavior. Ja has also made it clear to me that he has learned from this incident and that he understands his obligations and responsibility for the Memphis Grizzlies, the NBA community, and everything that extends beyond the play or the play, the court of play. And the fact is Ja Morant, he's basically going to get time served. The suspension covers the six games that he has missed.

He will not pay. He's missing out on about $700,000 in salary as a result. And then I can also tell you this, Ja Morant will probably also miss out, well he will, on $40 million in incentives because he is not going to make an all NBA team this year due to the suspension.

You can assume so. His supermax contract that will kick in next year, instead of it being five years, about $230 million, he's going to get close to five years, $190 million. And so he cost himself $40 million in the long run.

He cost himself about $700,000 right now. And Ja Morant didn't just speak to Commissioner Adam Silver. Ja Morant spoke to ESPN. Ja Morant sat down with Jalen Rose and talked about just a little bit. First of all, he admitted that he made a mistake. Listen to this.

After I made a terrible mistake, being inside a club and went live, I put myself in a bad position. And also it's my daughter. There's times where she even tell me if she's had a bad day.

And I felt like if she can tell me that, then I can be able to go and talk to somebody as well. So Ja Morant spent time down in Florida learning how to manage stress and mastering breathing techniques, et cetera. And as of right now, Ja Morant says he feels good. Ja Morant Me personally, I feel mentally good that I haven't been in many years.

I'm in a space where I'm very comfortable. I was constantly talking to therapists. I've been doing reiki treatment. I've been doing anxiety breathing, different stuff to help me manage that and release all that stuff from my body. Oh, release all that.

Release all that stuff in his... Does that help with making dumb decisions though? In that life experience, Ja Morant said that I've learned that I have so much to lose. Did you? Or did you really get faced with it? You had to be punished to realize that you might screw up. I don't think he's a dumb person. He did a lot of dumb things.

Are we supposed to just blame this all on stress? I mean, come on. I don't want to beat the guy down, but I mean, this is just some real babying here. Tonight, the Miami Heat beat the Grizzlies 138 to 119. This is now six games that he has missed. He would be eligible to play Monday against Dallas. So excuse me, tonight would have been seven, but he won't play in tonight's game. He's going to try or didn't obviously, or he won't play next week. He's going to take some time to get in shape. He hasn't picked up a ball, hasn't played ball in a couple of weeks.

And so it looks like Ja Morant will be back before the season concludes. And I cannot knock the NBA for its punishment. He's been going eight games. He made a mistake.

The police in Colorado did not find evidence of criminality. And so he's cleared there. He's cleared by the NBA. He was suspended eight games for making a dumb ass decision. I'm fine with that. And I hope he really has learned his lesson, but a lot of the PR talk and the statements surrounding it, it's been a lot of garbage.

You can blame it on stress. Nobody woke up and said, man, this was just a whole lot of stupidity. And I hope he's learned his lesson.

It's, it's really all that simple. Good luck to Ja Morant and his life moving forward. A lot of these positions that he's been in is a fault to himself and the people around him.
