You're listening to the J.R. Sportbrief on CBS Sports Radio.

Thank you to everybody listening all across North America. And so what I will do is continue on, here with you for the next two hours. Someone will say something ridiculous. I will ignore it. Someone will say something ridiculous.

I will have fun with it. And then someone will call up and they will be absolutely miserable. But don't fret. This is just the beginning. We have months ahead of us, of NFL football.

And damn it, we got college on Saturdays as well. I'm being joined here by super producer and host, Dave Shepherd. And thank you so far.

And to everyone, I guess, so far, who's hung out with us, I get started 10 p.m. Eastern, 7 Pacific. Last hour, we had a conversation with former NFL player and Super Bowl champion, Mark Schlereth. He joined us. We talked about the Bills and the Rams, giving a preview of that game. We talked about the Cowboys and Jason Peters. And also, we talked about Lamar Jackson. And I got to mention this before we get to the top six. I'm going to give you my top six NFL teams in just a few minutes here, momentarily, less than that. Hey, Shep, Aaron Judge hit another home run today.

What's going on with this guy? Is the sky blue, J.R.? Yes.

You get the point. Yes. Depending on the time of day, I will say yes. The sky is blue.

It's as common as the most common you can talk about today. So the Yankees had a doubleheader today, right? And so they beat the Minnesota Twins in both of the games. And then earlier on, Aaron Judge hit his 55th. This is number 55. He hit his 55th home run. And I know, depending on where you live, it might be September 8th.

For the vast majority of us listening, it's still September 7th. And so Aaron Judge is now on pace to hit 65 home runs. As a matter of fact, you want to know what 55 home runs sounds like? Here it is, earlier today, versus the Twins, courtesy of the Yankees Radio Network.

The 2-1. Swung on. Hit in the air to deep left. That ball is high. That is far. That is gone. It's amazing, and I mean that.

Absolutely. He's done it again. How does he do it? A Judgeian blast into the left field seats. All rise. Here comes the Judge. That last part always makes me feel uncomfortable. The Judgeian? Here comes the Judge. That's a little weird.

Why not? John Sterling. God bless him.

I think he's in his 80s now, so look. Call as many Yankee games as you can. And it's ridiculous at this point that they even throw the baseball his way. Because Aaron Judge is like a football player playing baseball. He was actually asked in an interview recently, why aren't there more Giants like you playing baseball?

Maybe not in those exact words. And he said, because they're all playing basketball or football. Aaron Judge is about as big as Julius Peppers was, or is, a giant human being. Even Aaron Boone is surprised that they still throw this man a baseball that he's capable of hitting.

Walk him. Sure. Yeah. I think absolutely. I mean, try and get him in some spots where there's no other choice, but yeah, I think we're definitely seeing that. They're trying to avoid the guy and he's still smacking it out the park. You know what?

The New York Giants are going to suck. Maybe Aaron Judge can help him out. I saw him at the US Open. What would Aaron Judge look like on a tennis court?

I have no idea. What would Aaron Judge look like as a defensive end for the New York Giants? He would probably help them out. The New York Yankees recently said, their president said that he's like a lifetime Yankee. Well, you better pay him like one. Freak athlete.

Congratulations to this man. He now has more home runs for a righty for the Yankees. He just passed A-Rod who hit.54 good.

Everybody passed A-Rod. But anyway, let's get back to the NFL and not the fantasy that maybe Aaron Judge can maybe flip over one day. It ain't going to happen. The fact is, we have pulled up on a season. Summertime is done. The NFL is here and it's time to dive deep. It's time for people to get upset at me. It's time for people to go, well, where's my team?

Because I'm about to deliver to you a top six list. These are my favorite teams. These, I believe, are the best teams heading into this upcoming season.

I believe that they have the best chance to potentially win a Super Bowl this upcoming season. And so without wasting any time, we got fancy music and we going to play it. Six, five, four, three, two, one. It's time to get JR's latest top six list only on the JR Sport Brief.

That's right, it's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. Top six NFL teams in 2022. What are the six teams that have the best chance of going out there and winning the Super Bowl? That's not to say everybody after six has zero chance.

But I feel good about these teams, some of them more than others. And so without wasting any time, let's start the list off. We go backwards here. Where are we going? Number six.

Yeah, because it's a countdown, not a count up. And so I'm going down. I'm going to Louisiana. I'm going to New Orleans. I'm going to the Superdome.

Now it's named after Caesars. Now you can just call it the dome. I got the Saints at number six.

Why? Because I expect them to continually be carried by their defense. Yes, Sean Payton is gone. Dennis Allen is taking over full time, as said coach. I expect their defense to do what they did last year.

Keep them in games and hope that the offense and I'm going to get to his name momentarily doesn't throw the game away. The Saints, their defense doesn't get talked about a lot. They were fourth in points last season, only giving up about 19 a game. Their run defense was stout. Their bookends between Cam Jordan and Marcus Davenport, who just had to have a portion of his finger amputated.

They're badasses. You still have Marshawn Lattimore. You've added Tyrone Matthew, who by playing at home is probably going to be thrilled and hyped.

And then you got the offense. Michael Thomas, maybe he'll finally be healthy, dealing with a hamstring after an ankle that seems busted up for two years. You bring in Jarvis Landry, you draft Chris Olave. But the key outside of the defense is whether or not Jamis Winston is going to keep up with what he started last year before his injury by not turning the ball over.

Fourteen touchdowns, three interceptions. Jamis Winston, he actually spoke to the media today, and he's a genius. Why? Because he's going to take care of his body.

Why? Because he knows that he needs to work on the top of his body, the bottom of his body. What the hell am I talking about? I want you to listen to the genius, the quarterback of the Saints, Jamis Winston, break down just the anatomy and how important every body part is. I need to work my ankles.

And you got certain things that we're all like, our body is so symmetrical, right? You got you got your wrists, you know, what are your wrists on the bottom half? Your ankles. You know, you got your shoulders up top. What are your shoulders? Your hips. You know what I'm saying? You got your elbows, 40 elbows, your knees, right?

Like, so it's symmetrical and you just got to work different parts. There you have it, folks. A quarterback genius in the NFL, Jamis Winston. I think he's better than the 30-30 that we saw a few seasons ago. Is he going to continue at a 14 touchdown, three interception rate under Sean Payton?

Probably not. But the Saints, they're dangerous. They really are. Let's move on from number six. What do we got next? Number five.

Number five. Man, you want to talk about a team that has undergone some changes in the offseason. You want to talk about a team that unfortunately has to deal with a lot of drama.

I'm going up into the NFC North and I'm taking a clear look at the Green Bay Packers. Yes, I know. No Super Bowl since 2010.

Yes, I know. Aaron Rodgers can win MVP after MVP. But he falls asleep at the wheel in the postseason. He becomes less aggressive.

He's much more passive. But I have to put them on this list at number five. That's why Aaron Rodgers is still one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. And we know this. Devante Adams is gone. So go ahead and and say, oh, well, let's let's elevate Allen Lazar. Let's go ahead and bring in Sammy Watkins is not the most confidence inducing of changes, but their defense should and will be solid. Devontre Campbell, all of a sudden, he leaves Atlanta and he's the second coming. Rajul Douglas. We've seen him come down with big time interceptions time after time.

You still have Jair Alexander, who's making all of the money. And speaking of, well, not the Falcons, but Georgia, they drafted Quay Walker. And so this might not be the same exact way that the Packers get the job done. Aaron Rodgers is going to have to spread the ball out. But is Sammy Watkins going to be healthy? Well, Sammy Watkins actually talked about having Aaron Rodgers on your team and he said it's going to be special. Hopefully he's healthy enough to experience it. I've been doing it for, I think, however long, 16, 17 years. But to have a do like that on the field, raise your level play is definitely gave me some some life on the field, some elite ability to where I'm playing one of the best quarterbacks.

Like I have to do is win my route or run the right route and everything else to carry out itself. So I think anybody I think you can get a scrub off the streets and throw them out there. I think they're going to make some plays. You don't mind.

Well, hey, shop, I think that means you and me and we got a chance here. Hey, man, no one would ever say scrubs between you and me, J.R. Oh, NFL wide receiver. We wouldn't be scrubbed. I'm not saying we'd be Jerry Rice and T.O., but we wouldn't be scrubs.

I think I'd play more games than Sammy Watkins. That's true. I mean, this guy, I don't know. He just disappears. Anyway, let's see if he has a bounce back. It's been a very, very long time since he was very, very good with Buffalo.

Feels like eons ago. Good luck to the Green Bay Packers. Yeah, Aaron Rodgers, man, he's already beefing and bitching about his wide outs. Let's see what he can do.

Let's move on. Packers at number five. Top six NFL teams. Who is at this number? Number four. Yeah, let's let's go from one old guy to another one. We don't need to sit in the world of suspense. We're talking about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Yes, I have them at number four on my list. Gronkowski is gone. Tom Brady's offensive line. Gone or hurt. But you heard Mark Schlereth.

And we heard Tom Brady basically has said over the past few days. Listen, folks, I'm smarter than everybody. I ain't sitting back here to get hit. My offensive line might be different, but I got this worked out in my head already.

What I'm going to do. You stupid defensive linemen and linebackers. You might be out here playing checkers.

I'm playing chess. And so ain't nobody worried about Tom Brady. And although Bruce Arians is gone and Todd Bowles is in, although Tom Brady might be dealing with personal strife. I still got the Bucks here as one of the top teams in the NFL.

And it's because of this Brady guy. This man said, why did you come back? It's like, listen, I got something left in the tank and I'm ready to keep on playing.

I just felt like I had a little left and I want to give it a shot. And I owed it to my teammates and our great coaches and our whole organization. We built something pretty special here in Tampa the last few years. And, you know, we were pretty close last year. At the end of last year, we lost to the Super Bowl champ. You know, they made a few more plays than we did in that game. You know, the competitive fire still burns.

Is this competitive fire? Tom Brady is going to be playing bingo at some resort when he's 80 years old, 85 years old, maybe 90. If you take a look at Tom Brady's diet, I guess he's going to try to live forever. He's going to be playing bingo, cursing at people. But he's very competitive.

Whether or not is, well, let me shut up before I get in trouble. That wouldn't be nice to say. Anyway, he's going to be competitive for a long time. I think they'll be good this upcoming season and maybe Tom Brady will win again and maybe he will go home.

And if he goes home, just just hang out with your folks, man. Shout outs to Tom Brady. I still have these Buccaneers at number four on my list. Top six NFL teams for 2022. What do we got next?

Number three. It's the Kansas City Chiefs. People were ready to bury them last season. Patrick Mahomes stinks. Patrick Mahomes has regressed. They started off three and four and then they reeled off eight straight victories to a record of twelve and five. They were extremely close from pushing it to going back to a Super Bowl. And then they basically took their foot off of the gas, a mistake. Patrick Mahomes says was made and one that he regrets these chiefs with Patrick Mahomes at the helm, primarily now here with Andy Reid, have gone to four consecutive AFC Championship games.

And sure, I understand. Tyreek Hill is now a member of the Miami Dolphins and they're going to have to spread this rock out. Juju Smith Schuster is in the building. Marquez Valdez Scantling is in the building, no longer on the receiving end of passes from Aaron Rodgers.

Mikol Hartman, I expect him to continue to step up. And then future Hall of Famer Travis Kelce is still on the team. They have taken a look at their offensive line over the past several seasons. But if you want to look at a weakness for the Kansas City Chiefs, it still happens to be their defense.

They still need help. A lot of it getting to the quarterback consistently. Despite this, I still have the Chiefs on my list as number three, as Patrick Mahomes is still one of the best.

And I'm expecting more of a bounce back from what started off last year as a, quote unquote, minor slump. Patrick Mahomes, he talked to Sirius XM NFL radio and he explained how the hell they plan on winning games without Tyreek Cheetah Hill. You have to look at the history of Coach Reed better than anything.

I mean, not me, not Travis. Not I mean, anyone that's that's been here during these great years in the Chiefs. But if you look at Coach Reed, I mean, he's done it with a lot of different receiving groups, a lot of different teams where he's won football games. And I think he has a way of amplifying and really emphasizing guy's strengths. So no matter who you are on the team, he's going to make sure you don't put you in the best position to go out there and make a great play. And I think when you have a coach like that as a leader of the team and then you have the coaches that we have under him and then the players that we have, guys have made plays in other spots. And I think Coach Reed will put us in the right position to win football games. And now it's about us going out there and executing it.

Well, damn, that was a lot. And Donovan McNabb, he would co-sign. He really would. And the more that I hear Patrick Mahomes speak, he he sounds less and less like Kermit the Frog every year.

I don't know what he's doing, but good for him. It's the general sport we show you on CBS Sports Radio, top six NFL teams for 2022. Speaking of twos, what number are we up to?

Number two. I got the defending champs. I have the Los Angeles Rams at number two. If I have to think about teams that have the best chance of winning a championship, oh, hell yeah. The Rams, they have a chance to repeat. Do I think they have the best chance? Yeah. They say you got to beat a man.

You got to beat the man. Thank you, Ric Flair. But the Rams, they they have some adjustments to make.

They really do. We know Von Miller is gone. Sean McVeigh is back. Whitworth, as we spoke with Mark Schlerith last hour, he's up in the broadcast booth.

Cooper Cup, he's going to have some expectations to live up to now with his new contract and his triple threat status last year. Matthew Stafford has come on from the Detroit Lions and has won himself a Super Bowl. There's some adjustments to make here, but the Rams, they still have a guy in the middle.

He is still a menace. And these Rams will live to defend their championship. Who knows this? The man who helped finally win him won the man who helped lead the entire squad back to the Super Bowl.

It's the wonder kid kind of getting a little older. His name, Sean McVeigh. He knows he knows how important Aaron Donald is.

That's why I got this squad at number two. Listen to McVeigh after they won the Super Bowl. Guys like him are why you coach Jordan. He has elevated everybody.

I think the epitome of greatness is making everybody that you're around and every situation you're a part of better. That's exactly what Aaron does. And that still doesn't do justice to what an impact that he's made in terms of elevating our whole organization. And I promise you guys that, you know, I was miked up so you guys can you guys can hear when it was the fourth down and you could see they got into the shotgun and they were probably not going to run the football. I said, Aaron's going to close the game out right here. And he is the F in man. He's a finisher. I wouldn't want to get hit by that guy. Ask Russell Wilson how it feels. It's the JR sport. We show here with you on CBS Sports Radio.

Luckily for Russell, he doesn't have to feel it like he used to. We're going to take a break. And when we come back, top six list of NFL teams heading into 2022.

I am going to give you number one. Don't move. It's the JR sport we show CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR sport brief on CBS Sports Radio. What is happening, JR? I've been listening to you for a good little while now. I've called it a couple of times, man. The most sensational voice on the radio is you, JR sport brief. No doubt about it, man.

Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR sport brief show here with you on CBS Sports Radio on the eve of the start of the NFL regular season. As we get ready to see the Rams and the Bills open things up for us. I'm giving you a top six list of the best teams heading into this upcoming season. What teams do I think as it currently stands have the best chance of winning the Super Bowl? And I'm about to share with you number one.

Let me give you a recap. If you just missed us last break and number six, I gave you the Saints primarily because of their defense. And I don't think Jamis Winston is the same turnover machine that we saw a few years ago.

I think you should be more concerned with potential injury. And number five, I gave you the Packers. Yes, Davante Adams is gone, but this Packers defense has an opportunity to improve. And then, by the way, the offense might have changed.

They still have two of the best running backs to the one of the best tandems, I should say, in the game. And number four, I gave you the Bucks. Tom Brady is there.

Come on now. And number three, the Kansas City Chiefs. And number two, I gave you the defending champs, the Los Angeles Rams. And my apologies to anyone who is going to feel a certain way about what I'm about to share with you. It probably shouldn't be a surprise, but what number is it?

Number one. It's it's the Buffalo Bills. And I'm sorry, folks, you might have heard this ad nauseam by now. They might be everybody's favorite to win a championship. But there's a legitimate reason as to why their roster is stacked.

And sure, of course, absolutely. Just because you have the best team on paper, you actually have to go and play the games. Yeah, well, actually having the best team on paper translates to having the best players on the field. And absolutely the Buffalo Bills have to go out there and live up to all the hype. They have to live up to the contract extensions like the one Dawson Knox just got. They have to live up to adding someone like Von Miller who they want to put on the defensive side to rush the passer opposite of Greg Rousseau. They have to live up to all of the expectations.

And we know who's leading them. His name is Josh Allen, the quarterback who's improved year after year after year. The quarterback who, by the way, along with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, just put on earlier this year, one of the best performances, one of the best games that you will ever see in your life. And so with a stacked defense now that's not going to operate or start the season at full strength with Tredavious White out to start the year, with an offense that is doing nothing but getting better, they drafted James Cook. This man is not even being thrust into a starting role. And if you haven't seen James Cook out there play, you might be familiar with his brother.

His name is Dalvin and James ain't too shabby himself. And so this team has improved. And so what are they going to do next?

Josh Allen. He was on CBS Sports HQ and he talked about their mindset for this season. It's a new season. You know, we're looking to go out and accomplish a goal and that's to win the Super Bowl. We know that.

I think everybody knows that. Starting the new season 0-0, starting fresh. Nothing that we did last year is going to carry over into this year. So we got to we got to be on point and, you know, training camp. We've been working really hard and trying to develop that team camaraderie right now and take it week by week.

So you can do week by week by week. We had a Buffalo Bills fan call up earlier on in the show and he wanted to tell me how the the Buffalo Bills are going to win every game. The Buffalo Bills are going to win tomorrow's game. Look, the Buffalo Bills can lose tomorrow.

I'm not going to change my mind. I still think that from 1 to 53, they have the most talented roster. Now they have to go out there and live up to the expectations.

It's not easy. Who would have thought that the Cincinnati Bengals would have been in the Super Bowl last year? What, a Bengals fan who just shouts it for 25 years would have told you that?

And sure, sure. Yeah, there are some other teams I could have put on my list. I didn't have the Bengals here because I think it's going to be difficult for them to just get back to a Super Bowl. If they can do it, especially with with Joe Burrow and his start and yeah, he only had his appendix removed because of that sucker was basically exploding inside of his body.

It's going to take some time. And so, yeah, the Bengals, I have them on the outside looking in. And there are some other teams that I look at that I really considered putting on the list. You know, I had the Chargers here and then I remove them because I said, damn it. I think eventually they're going to get over the hump.

Maybe this will be the year. But let me see them not choke first. I know they're going to be some folks who say, hey, where where are the Raiders? We got we got good teams in the NFL, but I wanted to give you my top six. And sure, I got the Saints here at six. I'm looking at their defense to carry them. And I want to give Jamis a little bit more credit.

The phone lines are open to you right now. That's eight five five two one two four CBS. That's eight five five two one two four CBS. What NFL team do you believe has the best chance of winning the Super Bowl this upcoming season? What NFL teams do you believe in really to push all the other squads to their limit?

I got the Buffalo Bills at number one. I'm going to take your calls on the other side of the break. You're listening to the J.R. Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the J.R. Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You know, my daughter listens to you every night.

She got a radio next to the bit. I don't get to listen to you often, but I'll tell you what. When I hear you're a gentleman, you never cut anyone off.

You never back down. You're an excellent sports jock. I'm going to tell you that right now. Call in now at eight five five two one two four CBS.

That's right. It's the J.R. Sport Brief show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. Tonight, I gave you a top six list. Of my favorite NFL teams heading into 2022, and they're not just my favorite. These are teams that I feel have the best chance of walking away and winning it all.

If you happen to miss the full list and my explanation, you can always hit rewind on the free Odyssey app just for a very quick recap. And number six, I gave you the Saints and number five, I gave you the Packers and number four, I gave you the Bucks. And number three, I gave you the Chiefs. And number two, I gave you the defending champion Rams. And at number one, I gave you the Buffalo Bills. There are other teams that I consider to put on the list. I mentioned a few of them. Got teams like the Chargers, you got teams like the Raiders, the Bengals, who certainly surprised and actually went to the Super Bowl last year. It appears that they have gotten better, albeit Joe Burrow missing time with his appendectomy. And so we have more than than six great teams, more than six good teams.

But these are the squads that I believe for varying reasons have the best chance of walking away with a championship. And so now I'm going to hit the phone lines. The number is 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. I got the Bills at the top of the hill. It's not just a team on paper.

They have the best collection of talent that you could put on any side of the football, offense or defense. And now they have to go out there and do the work. You can also tweet me at JR Sport Brief. Let's hit the phone lines up. Scott, he's calling from Boston.

You're on CBS Sports Radio. What is up, JR? Good morning. And is it morning everywhere yet?

No, I don't think so. Well, we have quite a few time zones. We're just here hanging out at night. What's up? All right. So I'm going to give you just top to bottom, six to one. And then I'll give you my Super Bowl prediction and then two comments on teams and that'll be my take. All right. Oh, my goodness. How long is it going to take, Scott?

I would say 48 seconds. You're on the clock. Number six, best team in the NFL, Tampa Bay. Number five, L.A. Rams. Now, number four, which I will comment momentarily, New England Patriots. Number three, Miami Dolphins. Number two, Buffalo Bills. And number one and will be your Super Bowl champion, Kansas City Chiefs. K.C. Tampa will be your Super Bowl.

And a quick couple comments. New England, I probably get more local news up here than the national you guys do. You know, I watch local all day.

Local radio, your affiliate up here, WEI. And Belichick brought them down on Tuesday. It's 48 seconds. He even said normally when they play in Miami, they fly out Saturday, maybe Friday, Saturday. No earlier than Friday, most Saturday. And he said that the local sports cast said, why?

Why Tuesday? And he said, well, it's not only to get acclimated. Excuse me.

With the heat and humidity. Scott, Scott. Yes, sir. You said 48 seconds. I even gave you an extra 20. All right. I'll be done in 20. I promise. Overtime. No, it's no overtime, Scott. It's hot in Miami.

OK. The New England Patriots have gone down to Miami and they've gotten their asses whooped. So Bill Belichick wants them to suffer a little bit longer in the heat and the humidity as they practice.

That was the longest 48 seconds ever. We got a lot of callers here. Shout outs to everybody listening on WEI up in Boston and New England.

855-212-4CBS. Mike is calling from Houston. You're on CBS Sports Radio.

Good evening, JR. Yeah. Real fast rundown here. Buffalo AFC East. I got Baltimore. Winning the North. I have AFC South is less painfully to say it. Tennessee. Then we got KC until somebody else can take off. KC.

I got them. NFC is a little harder to do. I know the Rams coach said Stafford's elbow was fine. But we'll I think I don't think he's going to tell the truth over the radio to you.

No, he ain't going to tell the truth to anybody. He's a he's a head coach in the NFL. That's right. Green Bay, Tampa near early.

And who am I missing? But at any rate, AFC is going to go through Orchard Park this year. I think I think the AFC West, you know, it's it's I think they can knock each other off. Give Buffalo the clear best record. So it's going to go through Orchard Park.

And I just got that hunt just this very year. What do you think? Well, I have them at number one on my list. That's what I think. I think they got they got the best chance.

They got the best odds. It doesn't mean it's going to happen. Ask the folks up in Buffalo. They don't want to revisit 30 years ago.

He's sick of hearing about it. They got close this season, but close ain't good enough. A lot of times, especially with young teams, you got to go and get smacked down before you come back. And so even in the case of the Cincinnati Bengals, they didn't just go.

They arrived. And then they went all the way to the Super Bowl. Let's see him bounce back.

I think it's difficult for them to do so. I would not be shocked if the Bengals were back in the playoffs. But I would be I would be surprised if they made it back to the Super Bowl. Sean is calling from Oregon. You on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, Jerry, you don't believe in curses, do you?

I just not just wake up and do things now. Oh, you know, because any team that went to the Super Bowl four times in a row and ain't cursed should be cursed. And I think you're getting a lot of love to Jamis Winston.

I hope he resurrects his career. But I'm not I don't really see that happening. You know, that's that's that's a stretch seeing him go to the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl this year. And I think the AFC North getting a lot of disrespect. You know, the AFC North called the best conference in football. And those guys bring their lunch pail every single team. And the Steelers might be sneaky. You never know what's going to happen at Trubisky is getting a lot of disrespect and, you know, Steelers don't like disrespect.

And I like to see the Chargers on that list, too. I'm an Oregon. I'm gonna give her a little hometown love. And you do great. I think you do the best show you go through the most callers and you give us time a lot more than anybody else does in the whole nation. And I want to give a lot of love and you're an awesome person. Thank you. Thank you, Sean.

Appreciate you for calling from Oregon. Yeah, I actually had the Chargers on my list before the Saints. And I know we can't go ahead and look too far deep in the past about the Chargers and how they're going to choke and who we can blame for the loss.

And where does the clock fit or where doesn't it go? I expect them to get over the hump. I really do. I do feel slightly more confident. Not so much in in Jamis Winston.

I feel that he's better than what people will give him credit for. But it's it's the defense. It's the experience. It's the opportunity to play in the NFC South where really. Who's the biggest competition? It's a team that Saints fans will tell you up and down accurately that, yeah, we we beat them and that happens to be the Buccaneers. The Falcons are punching back.

My apologies to all my friends here with me in Atlanta. And then what am I expecting from the Carolina Panthers? What do you expect? You expect in the headlines from Baker Mayfield and there's there's more in the headlines and there will probably be on the football field. So I have to look at a crowded AFC West versus an NFC South, which is going to be a two team race. I'm feeling better about the Saints and their opportunity to a go to the playoffs and make noise. But I'm expecting the Chargers to continue to grow and I'm expecting at some point over the next several years, maybe sooner than later for Herbert to win himself an MVP.

It's just it feels inevitable for that to take place. Eight five five two one two for CBS. Bill from Toronto.

Go ahead. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, Jr. Good to talk to you again. I just wanted to hit on the bills because being in Toronto up here and having a chance all my life to to cheer for them. And when I was a kid, we had we had all the Toronto stations, of course, but we had the three Buffalo stations.

So I would be able to watch the Bills on Sunday as the only game in town. And it was back in the O.J. days, believe it or not. So I've been a fan for forever, essentially. And, you know, I'm just praying this year that they're going to going to do it. But to be honest with you, it is the Bills. And I know that last caller was kind of being derisive by talking about the four Super Bowls in a row. And as a fan, that that takes a lot of life out of you naturally to lose those in a row like that. But, you know, it's been in Kansas City last year again. And then, you know, it goes on and on. J.R., you know, home runs roll back. I mean, you know, that year when Tennessee did that forward lateral and they didn't call it back and the fans were all over the refs and everything. That was ridiculous. Cross your fingers, man. OK, I'm going to come back here on CBS Sports Radio. Don't go anywhere.
