So the Mariners win, so the Dodgers win. Two NFL Monday night football games. Bears won. Falcons won. And so here we are.
Week six of the regular season, It's over. It's like boom, NFL season started. And here we are, already in week number. Six. And in the game that ended first.
last night, here in Atlanta, Georgia. with the roof open, With a lot of people partying in the city right after, and I think people were going to party regardless. This is a big old party town. Shout out to everybody listening here in Georgia. The Falcons beat the Bills 24.
It's a fourteen.
Some of the plays that we witnessed here over the airwaves as I stood in this studio and watched with a uh your obviously muted sound as I spoke to you. Was Bijan Robinson running for an eighty one yard touchdown? Michael Pennix Junior connecting with Drake London. The Falcons improved their record to three and two. The Buffalo Bills.
Four. Yeah. Into The Buffalo Bills, this wasn't good for them. After losing their last game to the New England Patriots, the Buffalo Bills were supposed to turn things around. This is now two losses in a row.
They only generated two hundred and ninety one yards of offense yesterday. Josh Allen, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Josh Allen blamed himself. After the game, the defense blame themselves.
Well, I mean, Josh Allen doesn't play defense, okay. And then ultimately. The Buffalo Bills move into a bye week, God bless 'em. And then they take on the Panthers.
Now, I said this heading into last night's game. If you're the Buffalo Bills, taking on the Falcons is the type of team that you say, you know what? Let's get right against them. Let's get this offense rolling against the Falcons. The Falcons do surprisingly happen to be one of the best defensive teams.
In the NFL. And the Buffalo Bills could not overcome them. Shoutouts to A.J. Terrell, who is back out there on the field. And Josh Allen, He says, you know what?
All things considered, we lost You know, I screwed up. Listen to what he said. I gotta be better. Um protections, I D's Um movement in the pocket, it's gotta be better. Just gotta be better.
I mean, we can all say that every single day of the week about all of it. We can just go out there. And B Better. We know Josh Allen is the MVP. I mean, over the past several years, you could say MVP 1, MVP 2.
We know he won the MVP last year. What does his head coach think about this? Let's take a listen to Sean McDermott. Hey, Sean. You lost to New England.
You come down here to Georgia, you lose to the Falcons. What the hell is going on with y'all? Two straight? I appreciate the way the guys battled. Uh, to the end, at the end of the day, we've got to go back now, in addition to getting guys healthier, and and um, and we'll see how that goes, but but figure out um.
you know, things on offense, defense, and special teams. We've got to start over and start from ground zero and figure this thing out. and uh work our tails off to do it. Oh I told you, they get a week off to figure things. It must be nice, right?
Well, I mean, if you're an NFL player. Getting a week off where you don't have your body battered and bruised and beat up, and maybe you could heal a little bit of a of a pain You know, he's probably going to be in pain the rest of the season anyway. It has to feel good. And if you're the Buffalo Bills, let's be real. Of course everything and anything can happen.
And I know this team is better than they've been in past years. If you are the Buffalo Bills, you do not sound The alarm bells. You don't It's early in the season.
Okay, this is a Buffalo Bills team that has dealt with injuries to guys like Matt. Milano. You think about some of the guys on defense and in regards to Oliver and people stopping to run. They haven't been healthy here. At the start, Now I will tell you.
when the Buffalo Bills should ring the alarm bells. If they lose to the Carolina Panthers, okay. If the Buffalo Bills cannot go through this bye week, Rest, regroup, get healthy. If they can't come back, At week number eight, And beat the living hell, no disrespect to Bryce Young. If you can't, he's having a better year than he has.
Last time I looked, I think about 10 touchdowns, five interceptions. If you can't beat up on Bryce Young, And the Carolina Panthers said, yeah. Ring ring the alarm. Like the old Beyoncé song says. Boncha, do you know that Beyoncé song, Ring the Alarm?
I know the one about the oh, oh, oh. Put a ring on that one. Not about marriage, no. No, not about mat. It's a ring.
Well, You find it in a break. Jaster Beyoncé. You don't ring the alarm if you're the buffalo bells. Unless you lose to the Panthers. I got to give the Falcons credit, I really do.
The Falcons came out and they They beat one of the best teams in the NFL. They beat a Super Bowl contender. And let me tell you, there are now a lot of delusional Falcons fans. Just just all over Atlanta right now, all over Georgia. And I get it, this is part of being a fan.
L let's do some uh let's do some simple math here, okay? The Buffalo Bills are taking on opponents in the NFC South. this year, okay? The Falcons play in the NFC South. The fiend that means the Falcons have already played against the Carolina Panthers.
Okay, it was a couple of weeks ago. The Falcons did not look like an NFL team. as the Carolina Panthers smoke them thirty to nothing. And so, this is the beauty of the NFL, and this is why you go out there and you play the game. Because, yeah, any given Sunday, we know the cliche, somebody could come out on top.
Somebody could win. Is Carolina going to go out there and beat the Buffalo Bills thirty to nothing? Hell no. Were the Falcons just falling asleep? Did they fall asleep on that Sunday against the Panthers?
It looks like they did. Despite that, The Bills gots to win. But congratulations to the Falcons for making people feel optimistic. Michael Pennix Junior, I told you, he plays offense. I still think he's trying to lay his stake into the ground as the quarterback for the Falcons.
Nobody talks about Kirk Cousins anymore. Michael Pennix Jr. connected with Drake London for a touchdown. But then Michael Pennix junior talked about the Falcons' defense. that went out there And held these Buffalo Bills to a low, season low, 291 yards of offense.
Listen to Michael Pennix Jr. You know, but uh obviously, you know, you you talk about the offensive side of the ball, but I definitely got to give a huge praise to the defense. Uh the way they played, obviously playing uh against a Raina MVP and uh that a good offense over there, the way our defense played and um Every drive. It was amazing to see, and it gave us offense confidence. And we just knew we had to go put points on the board and protect the ball.
And we did that really good tonight. Yeah, I mean they led early on twenty one to seven. I mean, it took the Buffalo Bills scoring in the third quarter to make it a competitive game again. Then we had a Josh Allen interception late. Two of them that pretty much sealed it.
The Falcons were in command of this game. And so Michael Pennix Jr. Beating the Buffalo Bills with the reigning NFL MVP. Beating the Buffalo Bills, a team that a lot of expect, including myself, to compete for a championship, one of the teams. that can go out there and compete for a title.
Michael Pennix Jr. What does beating the Bills mean to you, the Atlanta Falcons? It's so it's so that that we We wanted them once. This team is really good. This team is really legit.
And I feel like the talent that we have on this team. It definitely helps us a lot. And obviously, with great coaches, man, this team is well coached all the way around.
So it's awesome to see. And obviously, we did have that one game that we didn't like, that Carolina game, you know, not putting up any points on the board. But I knew that wasn't us.
So I didn't soak into that and get in my feelings about that game because I knew that wasn't us that day. I knew that wasn't me that day. But as long as we continue to trust in each other and go out there and play for one another, we'll be fine. Michael Pennix Junior on the season has thrown for four touchdowns and three interceptions. You know, they're running the football.
They're not asking them to go out there and be a game changer. Just please do us a favor. You learn, you evolve. Don't turn. the football over.
I'd slow my roll a little bit, okay? I don't know if I'd be walking around if I'm an Atlanta Falcon going, hey, we're one of the ones. We're one of the teams that are going to be out here competing. That sounds all good and great. Slow down.
The next time the Atlanta Falcons will be in action. How about this? It is Sunday night football. The Atlanta Falcons are going to be performing this upcoming Sunday in Santa Clara, California. the home of the San Francisco Forty niners.
We know the Falcons, well, not the Falcons, the 49ers have been dealing with a variety of injuries.
Now you got Fred Warner out for the season with a blown up, destroyed, busted up, broken ankle. And I guess everything in the lower extremities is hurting for the 49ers. We know that Brock Purdy. He's been out. with a busted up foot.
Okay and Mac Jones week to week. I still will tell you this. Don't count on him. All right, I don't think we had a lot of people this week. Taking a look at Mac Jones and saying, Oh my god, Mac Jones needs to be the starter.
over Brock Birdie. Oh my God We're finding out why. Mac Jones is a as a backup QB. It's Tampa Bay. Just beat them.
The 49ers 30 to 19. And Mac Jones, despite going out there, flinging the ball all over the place, trying to stay alive, 347 yards, he had two.
So maybe the Falcons can build on this. They should go out. And have a great roadwind, but they could go out there and lay an egg.

You might recall last year The same, not same situation, but they played against each other. We have this Jaden Daniels-Caleb Williams matchup. And let's just say it didn't go the bear's way.
They pretty much lost at the end of the game due to a last-second Hail Mary.
Well, this time, the Chicago Bears win due to a last-second game ending. Field goal and the guy who kicked the field goal. wasn't even on the team. He was elevated to the team right before the game because the Bears normal kicker Carlos Santos. He had a leg injury.
And I guess when you are kicking balls for a living, every now and then your leg. It's gonna hurt. And so they had to elevate Jake Moody. For the roster.
Now Jake Moody, you might recall, he was with the Forty Niners. They fired his ass after week one because he stunk. They said, you suck last year, you suck now. They gave him the boot for being a kicker, a bad one.
So here he is kind of just hanging out with the Chicago Bears. And they say, look, man, we need you before the game. He went out last night, hit four or five field goals. including the game winner. The Chicago Bears now have a record of three and two.
Washington has now fallen, to three and three. And I think there's a variety of reasons there Debo Samuels health. McLaurin still not out there running around. And the Bears, they're just trying to make hay. Ben Johnson is a first-year head coach.
People are like, listen, dude, don't screw this up. We brought you over from Detroit. Do something. And people want to see the progression. Of Caleb Williams.
Last night? About 252 yards passing, one touchdown. I think he's still in the space of learning to elevate his game. And and when? But not turn the ball over.
Don't do that part. He spoke afterwards and said, You know what? Coming back to D.C. and actually beating the commanders this time? It feels good.
Home town obviously and um Being able to come out with a win like that is big for us, big for As a team, big for us as offense, special team, just overall big for us. And that's a hell of a team over there.
So being able to come out victorious in a dog fight where things weren't perfect, weather wasn't perfect, and being able to come out victorious is big for us.
So feel great. Yeah, the Washington Commanders, Jaden Daniels, the numbers look good, but there were some turnovers there that pretty much doomed them, especially at the end of the game that allowed Chicago to pretty much set things up for that game winning kick. Jaden Daniels did throw for three touchdowns. He went out there and had himself an interception. He also lost a fumble.
Three touchdowns, two turnovers, not necessarily the best of things. And so Jaden Daniels says, you know what? I just need to play better. The interception, the fumble, I need to do. Better.
Being aggressive, um you know, just go through my keys, but like I said, I didn't play how I should how I hold myself to and how I should play. I'll be better. And Dan Quinn, one of the nicest coaches in the NFL. He wasn't for the crap yesterday. He says, man, we turned the ball over three times.
If you turn the ball over three times, you need to lose. We didn't create enough takeaways to finish minus three. You really don't deserve games when you're in that space.
So had chances for interceptions, had chances to get some, did not create any. uh honestly just didn't perform well enough. Um run game both sides.
So A lot that needs our attention. and uh get right back to it as we you know get going right against the division opponent next week. And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen, the mister Rogers Of the NFL, Dan Quinn. He's a real nice guy. He is a very nice guy.
And then the players love him. They love him. Man, in a in an alternate universe, in an alternate world. Falcons would have won the Super Bowl with him as the head coach. I mean damn it and Jaden Daniels' first year, they almost went to a Super Bowl.
Dan Quinn, he's a good guy in the NFL. I'm rooting for him. I just think this Washington team, yeah, they they have more development to do. They are a wildcard team. They are.
They peaked last year in this guy's rookie season. I I think everybody naturally expected Washington to go ahead and take a step back. Of the injuries to some of their wide receiver group and how these guys are banged up, whether it's Debo or Terry McLaurin, certainly plays a factor. Relying on what 34-year-old Zach Ertz, not necessarily the most conducive strategy. to going out there and winning.
Washington is what they are right now. They are three. And three. And the Chicago Bears. And we'll have a chat next style with Hub Arkush about this.
670 to score. I just feel like eh, whatever about the Bears. Like they are an 8-9-1 team. Were they not a Super Bowl contender? And I guess if there is a bright spot for the Chicago Bears, it's that Caleb Williams is not trash, right?
He's not complete garbage. Nobody is looking at him. You can't realistically look at him and just go. He can't be the guy. This season he's thrown nine touchdown passes, to two interceptions.
You want to tell me that he's not going to continue to get better? You're going to tell me that he's not going to continue improving? Kelle Boyams. He's gonna get better. Yes.
And shout outs to the Chicago Bears. For right now, though. There's still Yeah. If botch, is there anything that gets you going about the Bears or the Commanders? It does both.
They're kind of in the same spot. Second-year QBs. They just want to progress at this point. It's also that they're so inconsistent. Where it's, I don't know.
The commanders are more injuries, but the bears are the definition of. bipolar. You could say if If Caleb Williams plays average or above average, they have a great chance to win a lot of their games. But he just isn't that yet.
So it's just frustrating to watch. as someone from the outside. And uh like you said, it's development and it's just gotta keep improving for him.
Now it's better than some other squads. I mean, I mean, we talked about the Miami Dolphins yesterday. To a tank of Valo, every time they put him in front of a microphone, he says something stupid. You got the head coach Mike McDaniel who's sitting around going, when am I going to get fired? Maybe the end of the year.
How many more press conferences do I have? And so, yeah, you know, all things considered. both the Chicago Bears and the Washington Commanders. They have quarterbacks who need Developing. more Caleb Williams more so than Jaden Daniels, but at least you you feel good.
About where things are going. Even in Washington, you gotta feel good. About where things are going. You know, even even though they went to an NFC championship game. uh last year.
So good on the Bears. And the commanders, they'll be fine once they get healthy. I would still expect them to compete for a playoff spot. an' maybe even go out here. I'm not ready to bury the Eagles.

But I feel like they're just in the front office. One guy's slapping the other, the other one's hitting a dude with a pie, the other one is. Throwing a water balloon, it th it is just slapstick. Comedy. With how the Tennessee Titans are running their organization.
they might be running their future franchise quarterback, into the ground. We're going to hear why the Titans cut bait. with Brian Callahan on the other side of the break. And then You know, Arch Manning had some words as well. People didn't have confidence, haven't had confidence in him.

It's sick in a cartoon kitchen. in the entire kitchen. is in flames. The dog is sitting at the kitchen table like a human being 'cause it's a cartoon. Low hat on, And he's sitting there just going, Everything is fine.

And now th that's approach that is an approach that a lot of people take. as things are burning around them, You just kind of sit through the fire and just tell yourself things are fine. I don't know, maybe a magic gust of wind. comes by and just puts the flames out, but most cases things burn.
To the ground. In the case of the Tennessee Titans.
Well, they fired Brian Callahan yesterday. We know that things are not fine in Tennessee. They have a record of one in five. They just drafted what they hope is their long-term franchise quarterback. and Cam Wart, Things are not fine.
in Tennessee. I mean, just in January of last year, They fired one of the best head coaches in in the NFL in Mike Vrabel. Because they're stupid. There there is no other reason. They're stupid.
They blame Mike Vrabel because the team's stunk. Mike Rabel didn't go out there and select the ass players, okay? He didn't. He didn't dump money at Derrick Henry to leave. I wish Derrick Henry would have left years ago, to be honest.
But let's be real. The team sucked. And Mike Vrabel can only coach who's in front of him. Brian Callahan gets Will Levis. Will Levis is throwing these stupid interceptions.
Brian Callahan is aging 10 years. every single week is bad. Then they get cared more than they they still can't turn things around.
So Brian Callahan is fired. Former GM Rancarthon, he got the boot as well. And so yesterday, The Tennessee Titans had to explain Getting rid of their next chosen one and Bron Callahan. Except for the lady who typically speaks and makes the decisions, Amy Adams. She wasn't there.
She left the president of the Tennessee Titans. Chad Brinker, she left him to sit up there and explain why They fired their coach. Not even two years into him running the damn ship. Listen to Chad Brinker. The president of the Tennessee Titans.
Always great when the owner sends out a highly paid lackey to answer the questions. Uh but Chad Brinker He basically explained why they got rid of Callahan, And it had to do with the lack of development. working with Mike and I and and meeting with her this morning. And talking through all this, we just felt like this was the right time to make a change.
Now, that doesn't. Change the fact that the things that we said in the preseason about You know, we were looking for Growth in this football team. And that's what this is about right now, is we're not seeing enough growth From this football team. We're one in five, and we got to be better in this. And I want to.
Acknowledge the fact that we're all frustrated. We understand that you, the fan, you're frustrated with everything that's going on. But I can we're doing everything we can. We will do everything we can to build a football program that you can be proud of. They're going to fall into a football program to be proud of.
They're going to fall into that. By accident. Because the owner has already gotten rid of some of the best pieces, including the head coach. You know, oh, I beef with him. He tells me the team sucks, so I don't like this.
You need to do better. And they fired them. You know, she she just shouted from the mountaintops about how great Brian Callahan was, and they fired him. And I think with good reason, but they fired him. But why did you think he was so great in the beginning?
Rand Carthorne, he's the guy who can lead us forward. And they fired him. And so to hear this, oh, we're going to get it right for the fan. What else is he supposed to say? He's going to shovel you a load of crap.
The Tennessee Titans are full of it right now. Full of it. I like Tennessee. Shoutouts to Tennessee, my next-door neighbors here in Georgia. But damn it, they might as well move them.
Move him back to Texas. Put him in another city. Send him to Austin. We already got the Texans in Houston right now. What are we doing now?
I feel bad for the Tennessee Titan fans. We're going to do this for the fans? Oh, yeah, sure. Hey, Chad, answer me this. Why in the blue and silver hell, Should anybody trust you all?
Why should the fans trust y'all to turn things around? Listen to what he said. You know, I've been entrusted to do this job, and that's all I can say is we're going to work to get this right. Um You know, both Mike and I come from places where we've won a lot of football games. We got a front office that I think between all of us, we got nine Super Bowls.
We've seen what winning football looks like. And we know what that looks like.
So we're going to do everything we can to support the staff currently to, you know, we've. Our players to, it's still early in the season, and there's a lot of work to be done, there's still a lot of football to play. Um So I think You know We're just as frustrated as our fans are. And like I said in the opening statement, Um We're going to get this right. And we're going to build a football program that everyone can be proud of.
And we're acknowledging right now it hasn't been good enough. And that's why we're up here answering these questions because we haven't been good enough and we're committed to getting better. And here's the difference. The fans are frustrated. They're invested because they like.
Football. They're invested because they love football. They're invested because they want to root for their team. The difference between you and the fans is you got a boss. You gotta answer to somebody.
You, just like everybody else before you, can go out there and be fired. if Amy Adams ain't feelin' what's goin' on. Does she know what's going on? I mean, some of the statements that she's made in the past about loving this guy and loving that guy, who's whispering in her ear? I mean, I don't know who's worse.
Is it her or Woody Johnson? And all these rumours they were rumours About how the New York Jets would utilize Woody Johnson's kids, the owners' kids. would have influence in the organization.
Now, that is accurate in some regards. There are certain teams that do have kids that they try to groom them to be a part of the organization. not a shock. I don't know who's talking to Amy Adams. But every time she hires somebody They're the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Until she fires him. There's something not good about this. and the fact that Amy Adams was not present to explain the firing of Callahan, left a lot of people going, well Where's the owner? Why is the president up here? I mean, she's the boss of all bosses.
Why can't she speak to the fans? She's asking us for money, right? They're moving us into a new stadium. She's asking us for cash. Why can't you show up and speak?
Shad Brinker, the president. had an answer as to why his boss, wasn't available. Where is she right now? Where what do you mean? Where's Amy Adam Strunk right now?
Yeah, she's... She's at her home. Why isn't she here? I'm here representing her. Oh.
Ooh, ooh, ouch. Man, that guy whoever asked that question, whoo. Botch are they going to let him ask questions first the next time? No, not at all. I think he might actually lose his pass.
Oh Where is Amy Adams? She's not here. Why is she not here? Because I'm here. It's bold to go, where is she?
Like, where is she? Where is she? Yeah. Now listen, I mean. Legitimate question.
He didn't have to answer. Like, it's he did not have to say she's at home. He did not have to answer it. He was caught off guard with that one. It's like she's at home.
He could have said she's handling business. He could have said a billion things. He says that's her business to share. I'm here on her behalf. Done.
That's it. I don't think that's pertinent information right now. She's not here. She's not available. I'm here on her behalf.
Done. As the president of football operations, I'm here. Ouch. That may come back to bite all of them in the future. That may come back to bite him in the ass.
If and when he gets the boot. You know, and she may never speak again. You know, we have owners in professional sports, and these owners, I say they're losers. If you can't communicate effectively with the media, the press, and your fans, if you need to manipulate the press to get your messaging out, you're a loser. And I don't know, maybe Amy Adams has stepped into that place where she can no longer put her foot forward.
Maybe she talks next week. But I think to effectively communicate, I mean, does it hurt to do it once a year? If you have a competent team in front of you, Yes, sure, you can have a President speak or a GM speak. Let them do it consistently. But I think if you're a good owner, and you're doing things the right way, yeah, you know when to stay the hell up on out the way.
