His name is Brock Purdy. Apparently he might be missing weeks with a foot injury with the San Francisco Forty nine, as they just paid the guy. He's hurt already. Come on now. Travis Kelsey accepting some of the blame for injuring Xavier Worthy.
Little teammate on teammate violence. Patrick Mahomes talks about the upcoming match up against the Philadelphia Eagles. Hopefully he has enough healthy bodies to throw the football to. The Cowboys They don't have Micah Parsons, but they are knocking on the door of Bringing in some one else? I'll tell you who that is.
The NBA They changed up a rule. A lot of these heaves at the end of the games. I'll give you some details. The NCAA. It's taking some uh Wow.

You got Ricky Pierce. Oh, he got shot last offseason. And so the 49ers, they have really felt and dealt with every injury possible. Yeah. Torn knees, hurt feelings, and even a shooting.
Okay, good for Ricky Pearsall. I'm glad that he's okay. And now here we are in a new season. You already got George Kittle. On the IR with a hamstring injury.
Already, okay? The guy's a great blocker, the guy got hands, he's a tough you know what, and he's already gone. And then we learned today That Brock Purdy in the forty nine is just beat the Seahawks, it was not pretty. seventeen to thirteen. Brock Purdy threw two hundred and seventy seven yards worth of football passes.
He threw two touchdowns, he threw two interceptions. And his shoulder hurts. His foot hurts. Let me remind you The San Francisco 49ers just gave Brock Purdy a five-year-old. $265 million contract.
He's making $53 million a year. He has finally. finally getting paid. like one of the top quarterbacks. in the entire NFL.
And we know they've had em on a discount. mister Irrelevant Selected with the final pick in 2022 is finally Gettin' paid. And now that he got paid, He also might be hurt. He might be down for quite a few weeks. The 49ers are getting ready to take on the Saints.
Should call em the Ains. They are the worst team in the NFL. Yeah, I'm predicting it. A lot of people are. They suck.
But anyway, Carl Shanahan. who looks like he's been injured. We talked about this yesterday. Kyle Shanahan, I don't know if there's a coach in the NFL. who has aged like this man.
He looks like he has been through the ringer. Kyle Shanahan gave an update. on Brock Purdy and his injury status against the Saints. Listen carefully. The McCaffrey will not practice calf slash vet slash bed day.
Trent Williams won't practice knee slash bed day. Nick Bosa won't practice bed day. Brock Purdy won't practice left shoulder toe. Any further sense about whether Brock will be able to play on Sunday? I think it's a long shot.
that Purdy's injury could be a multi-week thing. I think that's the toe, more so than the shoulder. No, it's the toe more more so the shoulder. This could be a multi-week thing. I like how the coaches just kind of gloss over shoulder, shoulder, shoulder, toe, shoulder, toe, knee.
knee elbow toe foot. Yeah, if i if I just talk fast enough, maybe the media won't catch on to what I'm saying. Look. There was an expectation that the 49 is kind of a Bounce back a little bit. They're now allocating fifty three million dollars into their quarterback.
They're not getting this guy on one of these, I don't know, five million dollar discount deals that they've had. They've had to readjust their books. They've had to get rid of veterans to rely on younger players. And the 49ers, I mean, this is a bad start. Mat Matthew Stafford, with his back Matthew Stafford certainly looks healthy to start, for now.
I mean, you think about a back, it can go out in any damn second. But you gotta worry about the Rams. The Cardinals are always up and then the Cardinals are down.
Well, so far this season they've started on an up. The Seahawks, God bless the Forty niners, they got their first victory against them. I don't got too much confidence in Sam Darnold. And so, if there's one thing that the 49ers have to worry about, it's primarily the Los Angeles Rams. The Cardinals, who will probably finish at or around somewhere being 500, we can no longer have 500 anymore when it's.
Teams and playing 17 games. And the Seahawks, well. You don't know what the hell you're gonna get from them any given week. I think for the most part Sam Darnold is going to be uh average to maybe bad. That's just my thought.
But with the forty-niners If Purdy is gonna be out, For any amount of time past the New Orleans Saints, this is not going to be good for the Niners.
Okay? Let's get to the Saints first, before we think about the rest of their schedule. Mac Jones is the back up quarterback. for Brock Purdy. At least he has starters' experience, okay?
He's seen that and In New England? He actually made the Pro Bowl team as an alternate? I was still shocked that that happened. He then goes back home to Jacksonville. Backing up Mr.
Trevor Lawrence, thank God we didn't see a lot of him there. And now he's in the Bay Area. Santa Clara, playing for the forty nineers. Nobody expected to see him now, especially paying Brock Purdy fifty three million bucks. Carl Shanahan One of these offensive geniuses He says if Mac Jones has to play, I feel good.
Mac knows how to play the position. He can play well in the pocket, distributes the ball well, sees coverage as well, can play fast in there. It's got a lot of good film from the NFL with the experience and obviously college. A tough guy who will hang in there and deliver the ball where it needs to go. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's also average.
Okay, he's likely to go out there and throw an interception. That is one of the reasons that Mac Jones. is a backup quarterback. It isn't starting in the NFL right now. And it's one thing to take on the saints.
This is one thing.
Okay? It's another thing. to move on to facing teams in your division again. like the Cardinals who they're gonna face on September 21st. Like the Jaguars, who I think got a little bit more life and a little bit more juice.
And then you got the rams again. by the time we get to october second. If Brock Purdy is standing on the sidelines This team is going to be cooked for this year. They're giving this guy $53 million and now he goes down with an injury. And God bless him.
He certainly deserves the money. They paid it to him, first of all, so he deserves it. And he was playing on a massive Discount. and so I certainly hope that he takes his time in coming back. But what do the Forty Niners do, just stick with Mac Jones?
I would. I mean, they shut all that salary. They gotta pay this guy 53 million bucks. What else are they going to do?
Somebody has an idea. Mike Florio. Pro Football Talk. He brought up Another team. He talked about the Atlanta Falcons.
He talked about Kirk Cousins. He pontificated. He thought about the idea of Kirk Cousins moving to the Bay. Listen. If Purdy would be out an extended time, and if Michael McCorkle-Jones doesn't pan out, There's a different prophecy.
They could be fulfilled. Do you know which one I'm referring to now? A cook of cousins. He's out there. I didn't even know.
He's out there and there's been that long-term link. Between Kyle Shanahan and Kirk Cousins. Oh, come on, man. If I'm the San Francisco 49ers. I would have to know and believe That Brock Purdy is cooked for this season.
Kirk Cousins is the highest paid backup in the entire damn NFL. This guy is getting $27, $28 million to stand around and hold a clipboard just in case. They need 'em. And the way that Michael Pennix Jr. looked this past Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, I don't think the Atlanta Falcons are gonna need Kirk Cousins.
Unless Michael panics his knees, they give out. or his shoulder. gives out or any of the injuries that he had in college, If any of those decide to crop up, Again, Kirk Cousins needs to go to a team. where the quarterback is out for the season. Kirk Cousins needs to go to a team like the Los Angeles Rams.
If Matthew Stafford has a disc in his back and it slips all the way to Mars, they just go, Well, now we can bring in Kirk Cousins. Knowing that Brock Purdy currently on a week to week basis is dealing with a toe injury, I don't think it's reason enough. For Lynch, And Shanahan. To just wake up and go, you know what we need to do? Put $27 million on the books, and then also ask and demand that the Falcons pay for a little bit more of his salary.
Is it is it is it possible that Kirk Cousins Gets moved this season. Yes, yes and absolutely. but not to a team. We're a guy. just as well, they they just invested fifty three million dollars into a guy and his name is Brock Purdy.
And so, yeah, if you're a fan of the San Francisco 49ers, yeah, go ahead and ring the alarm bells. Christian McCaffrey's Calf. Man, it'd take one step, and he could be out, right? Think about Kittle. He's already out.
I didn't even get to Jawan Jennings in his shoulder.
Okay? Think about Brandon Ayuk. He's gonna be out. They ran that that guy's leg through a meat grinder last year. It's not looking good for the forty niners.
And if you're a fan of the Rams oh, I'd be thrilled. I'd be like, wait a minute, we got the quarterback with the bad back? We got the old quarterback with the bad back, And we could still come out here and win the win the division I'd be happy with that. If I'm a fan of the Cardinals, well, If you like the Arizona Cardinals, They had to put a clause in your your quarterback's contract. to tell him to kinda ease up on the video games jist a little bit.
I would worry about his maturity and less so anything else going on. And if you're a fan of the Seahawks, let's be real. Sam Donnell is gonna do what? Yeah. Exactly.
There's still hope for the 49ers. There's still life for the 49ers. But let me tell you something. That's only because we've gone through one week. of the regular season.
Yeah, forty nine. They they they've peaked. They did. They peaked a couple of seasons ago. NFC Championship game, Super Bowl, NFC Championship game, NFC Championship game, Super Bowl, and then they lost.
They peaked. God bless Brock Purdy, he's finally going to get paid. But I don't think it's gonna translate into anything. Especially If he's not healthy enough, to be on a football field. Good luck, Brock Purdy.

And the last time we saw these two teams, let's just say it didn't work out for the Kansas City Chiefs, as the Eagles went on to the Super Bowl and Patrick Mahomes was sacked Six.
times. There are some differences in this upcoming game. besides the fact that the the Chiefs enter in as uh Super Bowl losers. Xavier Worthy got blown to high hell by his own teammate. Travis Kelsey.
Xavier worthy not necessarily the biggest guy in the world. Just finished his rookie season with the Kansas City Chiefs coming out of Texas. 638 yards receiving. to go along with six touch downs. This dude is a speedster.
Well, last Friday in Brazil, When the Chargers were beating up on the Chiefs, twenty seven and twenty one, Matter of fact, they weren't even beating up on him yet. It was the Chiefs' first drive of the game. Xavier Worthy got hit by some friendly fire. He got cracked on a route Where he intersected with Travis Kelsey, Who is not a speedster? That's a big dude.
Xavier Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder.
Now good for him. The Kansas City Chiefs have said that he does not need surgery. He's currently rehabbing. He's going through MRIs. They don't got to cut the guy open.
He's not going to miss the entire season. They hope to get him back sooner than later. Unfortunately, the Kansas City Chiefs are also dealing with that injury.
Well, I guess his brain is injured because he made a dumbass decision in Rashi Rice. who's currently suspended for the first six games, Of this NFL season because he decided to treat the Dallas metropolitan area. like it was a a version of Mario Kart. And so the Kansas City Chiefs. Huarti had an average offense last year.
are now missing their second year wide receiver, They're also missing Rashi Rice, who is by default their number one wide receiver because he's an idiot. And then Travis Kelsey, well, God bless him. He's still good. But it's not like the guy is out here getting any younger. And so this is going to be a tall task for the Kansas City Chiefs.
They're actually the home team. and for the first time in years they enter into this game, As underdogs, At home. When is the last time the Kansas City Chiefs played a game at home? And people looked at them and said, Yeah, we expect them to lose.
Well It's going to be this Sunday. against the Eagles. And I guess one guy who's kinda ticked off that he Wreck the teammate. It's Travis Kelsey. Because Travis Kelsey says Um Yeah.
It's my fault. That Xavier Worthy is out. My bad. I'll take the most accountability myself. I wasn't ready that first drive, I ran into.
And often Out of the game. I literally took one of my players out. That's one of the most frustrating parts, and it's hard to get your juices back going knowing you just hurt a guy. It's just a frustrating, frustrating way to start off the season, where it's a frustrating way to start off the game. How does this go wrong?
Who's got the right-of-way and the stop sign here? I'm supposed to be running my route at depth for Worthy.
So it's frustrating for me. I was trying to kind of set up my guy to be able to get in a position to, and it all just happened pretty quick. And I just got to be better, man. I'm. 13 years in the league, there's no excuse for me running into my own guys like that and being able to play fast and help him out where they had his guy beat, and we're out the gate, and that game starts completely different.
Yeah. And he he wrecked he he's right, he's wrecked his own guy. Hey, Bacha, I know you uh You play video games, right? You like games?
Well, I used to. Not video games have kind of like died off for me, but I did used to play. You ever played a game and you just accidentally offed one of your own teammates? Oh, accidentally. If I know I can do it, you do it for the bit to start it off.
But then you get sad. Excuse me? Did you just say you used to just get rid of your own guys on purpose? Yeah, it's funny.
Sometimes. If you're playing with your friends and you get you mess with them, it's funny. But then but that certain games you get kicked out of and all that, it's a lot of What the heck games are you talking about?
Well, there's a game called Counter-Strike. Where if you take out some of your teammates, you get banned. And you can't play for the game for a while. Oh wow.
Okay. But if I'm paying my money for the game, how do I get banned? I'm paying money for this. Yeah, but you're making it a bad game. You're not letting other people have fun too.
Damn.
Alright, well, there goes my comparison. I don't think Travis Kelsey meant to hurt his own guy. But in a video game, yeah, hurt your own guy. Why not? Why the hell not?
Yeah, the I I understand Vegas. I understand all of the odds makers. Unless Patrick Mahomes, and this sounds crazy, and people are going to go crazy over this on Sunday. And you never know, this is why they go out there and play the games. The Chargers just beat the Chiefs.
Down in Brazil. The Chiefs are going to be at home. They're taking on the Philadelphia Eagles. You got Xavier Worthy, who's a downfield threat. This guy's a speedster.
He helps expand the field. You got Rashi Rice, who's gone. I I don't feel good. I I love Patrick Mahomes. to this day, right now, this minute, this second.
I know what Lamar Jackson has done. I know what Josh Allen has done. If you asked me to choose a QB, I would still go with Patrick Mahomes, okay? I still would. I'm not picking him to win this game.
I'm not. They can go and win it at home. They definitely can. Harrison Barker could go out there and kick a game-winning field goal. We could see it all.
The Kansas City Chiefs, their defense gave up 27 points in the opener. Their defense held them down. Last year. The Chiefs defense could say, oh, you know, Eagles, they put them to a stop. I am picking the Eagles to win.
And I know it's a revenge game. I know Patrick Mahomes doesn't want to look bad twice. But I think the Eagles are in Very Very Grave danger. of starting this season, On Winsu. That's the reality of it.
Man, Patrick Mahomes, he got beat from pillar to post. in that Super Bowl. Six sacks He had to talk about this today. And he was asked if he learned anything from the Super Bowl loss. Yeah, I wonder what he learned.
Listen. Yeah, I mean, I watch every game after, so you have to learn from it. I mean, it sucks that you lose the game, but in order to progress and to be better next time, you have to watch it and learn from it. And so I don't know the exact amount of times, but you watch it and then you watch it in the offseason with the team and with the coaches, and then you watch it obviously this week as well. And so they had a great game plan.
They played hard and did a great job of disrupting my timing. And so I have to learn from that, find ways to get the ball out of my hand. And then when the opportunities are there, I think that's something I did miss early in the game is there was opportunities to make plays. And you got to make those plays 'cause if you don't, they're not gonna allow those opportunities again. Oh, w l listen to him, a quarterback who actually says something.
He talks very fast to get his point across, but he he actually says something. Hmm. And they think they're still going to lose on Sunday. Are you over losing, Patrick? Are the emotions of losing to the Eagles is it gone?
Are you angry? Are you motivated? Are you upset? How are you feeling? The emotion kind of happens for about a week after the game, but I mean, at the end of the day, you're going to have failures in this league.
It's about how you respond from those failures, and that's something that's important in anyone's career. But for me, I've got to continue to push to be even better so that I don't make those same mistakes whenever I get the opportunity to again. Boom, there you have it. He feels good. He even got a new haircut.
He cut his hair. Oh, he's a new man, new dew, new man, feelin' brand new. I just don't feel good about the Chiefs this year. I don't. I would not be surprised if they won the division.
I I don't I just don't feel good about it. I don't feel good about the offensive line. I don't feel good about the wide receivers. I think that's about the only thing that could save them. If the offensive line Can keep him upright, him being Patrick Mahomes.
And if Rashi Rice comes back and Xavier Worthy comes back, and at some point in the middle of the season, The Kansas City Chiefs can start hitting their stride. Oh yeah, sure, good. But as it stands at this early portion of the season, And I think going towards the end? I would favor the uh the Ravens and the Bills. before I'd favor the Chiefs.
I certainly don't favor them. to beat the Eagles at home, on Sunday. I'm going with Philly. I I sound shocked to say it, but I am. Botcher.
this Sunday afternoon game. Eagles. This time they're in Kansas City. Who are you picking in this one? I have to go with the Eagles just because I trust their weapons.
I can't sit there and say, yeah, I'm going to enjoy watching Hollywood Brown be wide receiver one for the Chiefs. I can't say that. Yeah. This is this is Patrick Mahomes is great. You know, for years and year after year after year.
We saw, you know, Tom Brady, he didn't always have Randy Moss out there with him. You'd always have Rob Gronkowski and That Hernandez guy. There was some years with Tom Brady, he had to make uh How do I say this? He had to make a Yeah. Chicken soup out of chicken stuff, okay?
He had to make something out of nothing. And he did.
Well Patrick Mahomes, who is a great quarterback, He's going to have an opportunity if he's not running for his life. running around like a chicken in a damn backyard. Patrick Patrick Mahomes is going to have an opportunity. to go out and say I can win. with bombs.
Okay. No offense to Travis Kelsey. He's dating a very uh Uh if I can't say that word. Oh man, botcher, I was gonna say uh Wealthy is a better word. I was going to say.
I was going to say a very expensive woman, but that's also not good, right? Not good. She's not expensive. She's just. Very classy.

That can go from east coast to west coast in a day. You know what? This is, I don't want to be morbid at anything. I know I will not be alive for it. And you probably won't either, okay?
Are we in Japan or are we in America? America, but there's got to be some type of person in America that's like, hey, maybe it'd be easier to go cross-country than planes. You know what the but here's here's a difference. And it's not to say that this doesn't happen here in America. They will clear out a whole swath of land and jest lay tracks and go from one side to the other.
We can't do that. You can, but you're going to have a problem. That's not happening here. That's true. A lot of land is ripped up for no reason.
That's why I will personally. What? protest not protesting speaking my mind on the the bullet train being needed in America. Where are you running a bullet? You can't even run a high-speed rail up and down the East Coast because it's so congested and there's so many turns.
It's going through people's see, you haven't been on the Amtrak. Yeah. Do you know just between Philadelphia and New York, you're basically looking into people's back yards? That's fine. That's fine.
two hundred and thirty miles per hour in somebody's backyard. while it has to make a turn around this river and it's not a straight line.
So is there like okay, we know we have like the eye Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, we're built for interstates. We've cleared out many uh people and and things for interstates, yes.
So why can't we use the idea of the interstate and build it in between said interstates. That that probably costs too much money, man. You want to put the high-speed rail like along the same route as the interstates? Yes. It would make.
It would make sense where you don't have to go through neighborhoods, one, yeah, and then two. Going from maybe I don't know. You know, a lot of these interstates also go through neighborhoods, right? Yeah, I know. And then they go through it's winding too and it's uphill, downhill.
It's a lot. Your kids, your kids, kids, kids, kids, kids, kids, my kids, kids, kids will be gone before they ever do that. You want high-speed rail, you just gotta move out of the country, okay?
Okay. I'll go to Japan. You want is Japan, China, which one? Whichever one takes me in. Whichever country takes you?
You're more likely to get into Japan right now, okay?

It's old man Patty, I guess you reach a certain age where you got nothin' better to do. but be angry. and Patty, Yeah, I mean I think this was a couple of days ago, Bill Belichick. saying, Yeah, the Patriots don't want me up there, so they can't come here.
Damn Yeah, well no, it's it's clear that I'm not welcome there around their facility and so welcome in ours. Very simple. Oh This is why Robert Kraft sat around, what, last week? Two weeks ago. He's like, oh yeah, whatever Bill Belichick has done, we're going to build a statue and put it right next to Tom Brady.
He said that publicly so he just wouldn't come across as being a jerk. Quite possible. Quite possible. And then you got Mike Vrabel, he just showed up to work. He's like, man, what what I got to do with any of this?
And they're asking him about this and he's like, uh I ain't got nothing to do with that. Belichick can come here if he wants. Nothing surprises me. I would imagine that That Bill, I mean, he came back for The best of my knowledge, Tom's ceremony, so that I would be original. Yeah, I guess he's welcome back based on the fact that he was there.
So. I'll just go by that. Since his departure as the head coach here, he's been back, and I'll leave it at that. Yeah, he's like, my name, what is it? I'm Bended and I'm not in it, whatever it is.
He doesn't want anything to do with it. And so Bach, you heard that. What's what's worse? Uh relations between the US and China or Bill Belichick in uh And the Patriots. I don't know, they're both pretty up there.
Yeah. I don't know, there's some trade negotiations with America and China. I don't know. I don't know if Bill Belichick will ever talk to Robert Kraft again.
Well, he said he wants to build him. Who wants to build the guy a gigantic statue? And the guy says, no, thanks. I don't even want to go back. Who says that?
Nobody. But at the same time. Does he want it immediately? Probably not. You know what?
I'm not an athlete. I know for sure as hell not a professional athlete, and not Bill Belichick. It sounds kind of odd to have a statue made. This is weird, no, when you think about it. Like who gets statues made besides our what?
politicians, historical figures, and athletes. Does like the neighborhood mailman who carried the mail for 80 years in your neighborhood, do they give him a statue or he just gets a plaque? Get a plaque, a banner, maybe a street named after him, or or a bench. Yeah, you get a street or a bench named after. You're right about that.
You're right. You're right. Could you imagine somebody making a statue of you? Oh. That's way too tall.
I would probably like to see. That's how big the statue is of Tom Brady. They want to put one next to next to him with Belichick. But will Bill Belichick be twelve feet tall too? 'Cause the twelve is for TB twelve.
Oh my god. You mean to tell me they're gonna put a statue there? Of Tom Brady And then Robert Kraft says we're going to put a statue right next to Tom Brady of Bill Belichick. and a Belichick statue is going to be much smaller. Like six feet?
Yeah, I can see that. Insulting him, right? That would probably be the biggest insult and the funniest thing that could possibly end this beef. Can't do that. Can't disrespect a guy like that.
That's... That's too petty. It pulled back the curtain. And like they set it up to where it looks like it's twelve feet tall. And then when they pull the curtain down It's like six feet tall.
Yeah, you can't do that. That'd be worse than that crap they put up with Dwayne Wade. They left that stat. I still can't believe they didn't fix that guy's face. They just left it like that.
way too much to fix the statues. Yeah, but that They I'm to be honest, I'm surprised no one has defaced. Dwayne Wade Statue. Like he didn't hire someone to accidentally kind of go up to the statue and just bash the face in so they had no choice but to do so? Yeah, I would put like a bag on it.

You got two there comes a point in time where it's like It's like the two old guys, the two Muppets who sit in a window and All they do is complain about the entire neighborhood except for these two guys. They just they just complain about each other enough. Bill Belichick is like, oh Here at North Carolina I don't got to deal with no no uh old man and his son telling me what to do.
And it's just like Y'all gotta do better. Nothing lasts forever, shows how life doesn't last forever, which is why I'm looking. For some high-speed rail that will never come in my lifetime.
