If you have a smart speaker, ask the speaker to play the Infinity Sports Network. Oh, we've had a busy show so far. We talked about these new contracts. Trey Hendrickson a one-year deal. Terry McLaurin gets three deals excuse me.
Amari Cooper goes back to the Raiders for one year. And so we got one guy. who is currently holding in in the NFL right now, His name is Micah. Parsons. A big topic of conversation over the weekend, too, because, well, Friday's preseason game against the Falcons?
Let's just say he looked disinterested. and bein' at the game. We'll talk about Micah in a second. In about 20 minutes, we're going to talk some Michigan football. We got Aaron McKin McMahon who's gonna join us.
Covers all things, Wolverines, as they're going with a true freshman, Bryce Underwood, to be their quarterback. Of this season.
So we've talked a lot of QBs. We had Matt Verduram come through from Sports Illustrated. And we have more to do. If you want to be a part of the show, it's simple. You can call 888-710-4ISN.
That's 888-710-4. four I S N. You could find me online everywhere. I am at JR Sport Reef. I'm physically in Atlanta.
Thank you to our producer. He is physically in New York City. Ryan Botcher. Can find me online at JR Sport Brief. Everybody uh is getting cash.
Last week we talked about Cook with the Bills. You got Hendrickson getting money, Terry McLaurin is getting that cash. Everybody's getting the money. Except for Micah Parsons. As I sat here in the studio on Friday, Kinda had the game on in the background.
Falcons are our local team here in Atlanta. watching the Cowboys. I I I didn't see all of the the footage. of Micah just kind of layin' around. and we know the situation already.
Final year of his rookie deal, final year of his rookie contract. He's been eligible for an extension, you know, dating back to last year. The Dallas Cowboys like to wait and push things up to the final second, to the final minute. Micah, doesn't matter how many times he's been an all-pro or pro bowler. He could have 12 sacks here, 14 sacks here.
Doesn't matter. Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys wait until the final minute. They take things. Down to The wire. We already got the trade request.
for Michael Parsons that he wants to move And so one Friday at the game, He was just laying on a training stable. That was the footage that went viral. He just layin' there with his hood on and just kind of staring up at the ceiling and minding his business. Was that man on a trainer's table for three hours? Uh I highly doubt it.
But just the fact that that's the imagery that you have on a football field It's going to take a few people aback.
Okay, now. We know His contractual situation. I think most of us also know. that Jerry Jones has been a jerk. throughout this process.
We just discussed this with Matt Verduram last hour: how Jerry Jones is basically pushing buttons about his representation, his agent, David Mulligetta. screwing up the negotiations. Oh, I already had a deal directly with Dak. Why do I need to deal with the agent? He doesn't have anything to do with anything.
And Jerry Jones is doing what he likes to do. Be in the headlines. Yeah, I think it's a very good idea. Push buttons. Make the Dallas Cowboys a a name.
Here, we're talking about them. And there's a reason. And there's a reason why. It's entertaining. The team might be worth fifteen billion dollars, But when it comes to the football operations, unfortunately for them and their fan base, They're a joke.
It stinks. And so this whole situation went viral over the weekend. I didn't have no problem with Michael laying around. Whether he was laying around or standing up, he wasn't playing. He doesn't have a new contract.
It's not leading to a new contract. and so this is much to do. About Nothing. You know, just last week, we heard from head coach of the Dallas Cowboys new whipping boy. for Jerry Jones, Brian Schottenheimer.
He was asked whether or not he had a problem with Micah not wearing his jersey, laying around, sleeping, lounging. This is what Brian Schottenheimer had to say. Yeah, the answer to the question, I know. I was calling a game, so I don't know any of that stuff. But again, at the end of the day, we'll look at the film and we'll talk to everybody involved, and we'll have a great assessment of how we did both on and off the field.
Yeah. Nobody cares. Because everybody's used to just a a massive uh Joke and disaster with these Dallas Cowboys. DAC Prescott He spoke to the media today, And Dak. He was asked if He was kind of concerned or worried and he's like listen.
This is just the Dallas Cowboy way. Look at how they did my contract. As I alluded to it before, I mean there's been a case of something similar to this. The last three years, I believe.
So, if not before, I mean, I guess right. Not necessarily. I think that's uh People can take it however they want. I think it's kind of part of the way guys think and and Um, see things around here. Um, I don't always hear a lot, but I actually did hear DeMarcus Lawrence talking about it, and I think he hit it on the head: like, when you're here in this organization, this is just how you see things are done, whether they're right, wrong, or Well, whoever has their view about them.
But what I think that does help is allow us to just stay focused on our jobs and understanding that us putting energy toward any of that doesn't help. Yeah. I I still think they'll get a deal done and a contract signed. with Dak on on on game one of the regular season. Or micah.
Dak was asked about this. Are you confident he's going to be available in week one? This is what Dak Prescott had to say. No, I've got confidence. I've told y'all that well, way back when.
And I'm just going off of experience, honestly. No different than mine. I've got confidence in that. Just hoping, which I know he is, he's ready to play. Micah, Dickie's a patient man.
That's for you to ask him.
Okay.
Well They're not talking to him right now because Michael Parsons Now he's currently out This is the technicality. His back hurts.
Okay, that's why. His back is killing him. That's the situation currently with Dak Prescott. Or excuse me, with micah. Botchip between both guys, and we know.
Dak is making sixty mil a year. He's the highest paid quarterback in the entire NFL. It's been said the Dallas Cowboys plan on making Michael Parsons the highest paid non-quarterback in the game. TJ Watt is currently that dude at forty one million dollars. We know ultimately Micah may sit at $45 million as an edge rusher.
We don't know what the deal is. I'm sure Jerry Jones and David Mulligetta will have a conversation. His agent will have a chat the first game of the regular season as they get ready to take on Philly. I don't have any problem with him sitting around on Friday. We know he's happy, unhappy.
We know he's miserable. The guy went out there and requested a trade. Do you take issue with what he did? He was just sitting on a table with his back injury. I don't mind it.
What is he supposed to do during the game? If he's he's not gonna play, he knows the playbook, there's nothing advanced that he's seeing on the field. I guess the only thing you could argue about is supporting teammates. But at the same time you're standing on the sidelines. you're putting yourself in danger to getting ran into.
There's just a whole lot of outside factors. that make this a whole lot of nothing. He until he gets paid. He can't do anything dangerous. And whether that be on a sideline I don't blame the guy.
Yeah. I don't know about the sideline part of it. I'm not digging a little too deep in that one. But I will say you Yeah, outside of supporting a bunch of dudes who are gonna get cut. Big deal.
You wanna know who doesn't care? That he's laying around over there. The players don't care. He's the best player. on the team.
Michael Parsons is the best player on the Dallas Cowboys. Them dudes do not care. if he's sitting around, if he's standing up, if he's not on the football field, They do not Care. Anybody making up stories about he needs to be out there supporting his teammates and the body language is bad and whatnot, nobody cares. He got one job.
It is to go out there and sack the quarterback. And if Jerry Jones is not going to pay him or give him a contract extension to go out there and do so, I don't think it's a big deal. and I still think they'll get a contract done. He'll get his deal, and everybody will laugh about it, and the world will continue on, in hilarious fashion, at the game. Jerry Jones ran into Micah Parsons' mom.
Okay? Jerry Jones had a little bit of a joke with her about paying her son. He gave her a hug and she didn't look to mind at all. Uh let's take a listen to this interaction from the game on Friday.
Now Michael, why aren't you out there playing? You act like you own some money and stuff. Yeah, little little five second joke. much to do about nothing.
Well, we're going to have about another two weeks of this. I'm sure Jerry Jones will say something else ridiculous. He'll say something else crazy between now and then. Ugh the drama continues. with the Dallas Cowboys.
And speaking of drama, We literally discussed this a couple of hours ago. And we have some breaking news that has already come in from Adam Schefter. regarding the Cleveland Browns and their quarterback situation. Because Adam Schefter, Pelisaro, a whole bunch of other guys are reporting that the Browns are sending Kenny Pickett. To the Las Vegas Raiders.
Aiden O'Connell, he broke his wrist in their final, their preseason finale. He's going to miss a couple of months minimum. And so now Kenny Pickett will be backing up Geno Smith. And what does this mean for the Cleveland Browns?
Well, We know who's number two and who's number three. Joe Flacco is quarterback one. It appears that Dylan Gabriel will be quarterback number two. and Shadora Sanders will be quarterback number. It's been a topic of conversation as to what Andrew Berry was going to do with four quarterbacks.
Well, This is the nature of the NFL. I don't want to say one man's trash is another man's treasure, But Kenny Pickett goes from the Browns to the Raiders to back up Geno Smith. And it appears that the Cleveland Browns, their quarterback situation, It's been resolved just a little bit. This is actually a big deal when you think about The timeline. Bacha, we just talked about this.
Once Joe Flacco goes down, you thought that Kenny Pickett would be the next guy up to be quarterback. and now it appears that that next guy up is likely to be Dillon Gabriel? Shador Sanders, unless they really want to go ahead and add another veteran, and at this point. I I I don't think that's going to be the case. I think they're going to run with these three.
And I I'm kinda worried for them at the same time because They are rookies, and we've known from the past that Joe Flacco doesn't like being a veteran mentor.
So if he goes down and is out. I'm assuming they're gonna sign probably Snoop Huntley to a deal again. if he doesn't get a job anywhere else. But it it's not good, I don't think, for the entire rest of the season development. for Dylan Gabriel and Shador to have no one to lean on.
I think that's an issue. I don't think it's so much about That's something to lean on. I mean, if Kenny Pickett was still on the roster, I mean, what is Kenny Pickett. And they all granted, they all have more experience. I think that's kind of overstated.
You know, Joe Flacco making it very clear. You know, I'm not a mentor. I'm not babysitting anybody out here. These dudes are going to go and learn via osmosis, but ultimately they're going to have to go ahead and make decisions as quarterbacks themselves.
So. We got one decision that's been made. Kenny Pickett is no longer on the Browns. He's been traded to the Raiders to back up Geno Smith. And the only three quarterbacks right now on the Cleveland Browns depth chart happen to be Joe Flacco, Dylan Gabriel, who's a rookie, and a lot of conversations about his size.
Is he big enough to play in the NFL? And then you have Shador Sanders, and people are questioning his pocket presence and his pocket awareness, given especially what we just saw in that last game. Five sacks.
So, the whole idea as of now about the Cleveland Browns with four QBs. Kenny Pickett is gone. And then for Shador Sanders, who was asked after the last game, Hey Shadore, you still think you're going to be on the team? he's like, Yes, I expect to be on the team. I think we'd be hard pressed.
To see Shador Sanders not be on the Cleveland Browns this season. I expect that that to be the case the whole day. Damn. Yeah. Wow.
Kenny Pickett, now a member of the Raiders, the Cleveland Browns, now down to three Q B's. Joe Flacco, Dylan Gabriel and Shador Sanders.
Some wild, wild stuff. Here, it's the JR Sport Re Show here with you, Coast to Coast, on the Infinity Sports Network. Dylan Gabriel, Shador Sanders, coming over from college. When we come back on the other side of the break, we're going to have a conversation with Aaron McMahon. He covers all things Michigan football for M Live and Ann Arbor News.
I'm going to get his thoughts on a quarterback who's going to be starting his college career and Bryce Underwood. We're going to take a look at the Wolverines and their coach Sharon Moore, what we can expect this year amongst the suspensions.
So, we'll have that conversation with Aaron McMahon in about five minutes. Also, I got something pretty cool I want to share with you next hour. We got some news today that came down in the college football world as well. Michigan, the Wolverines, may be on a little bit of a bounce back. But they're still in the news as well. Bryce Underwood is going to get the start as a true freshman. They had a great commitment last week with Savion Haider.
And we know about the punishment to the school and to Sharon Moore. To talk about all things Michigan, joining us right now is someone who covers the team for the Ann Arbor News as well as M Live. Thank you so much to Aaron McMahon for coming through. Aaron, how are you? I'm well, good good evening, good to be with you.
Well, thank you for taking the time.
Well, we learned that we got an 18-year-old 6'4, 230-pound quarterback, Bryce Underwood, is going to take the lead here for the Michigan Wolverines. This is quite a fast turn, right? Swapping out from LSU, committing to Michigan, and now he's getting a start. Yeah, freshly minted 18-year-old, too. He just turned 18 last week.
Yeah, it's been quite an interesting last nine months or so. I mean, this is a kid who, as you said, was originally committed to LSU. Michigan kind of swooped in last minute, offered a A lucrative NIL package to kind of convince him to stay home and play for the Wolverines. And here he is, their starting quarterback. You know, at the same time, I'm not that surprised.
I've been calling it kind of the worst kept secret in Ann Arbor for the last, really the last couple of months. You know, the situation was right for him to come in and win the job. Michigan really struggled last year, quarterback, started three different guys, two of them left. And the third guy is injured.
So, you know, Michigan tried to bring in some competition to push Bryce Underwood a little bit. They brought in a transfer from. Confreshing the state and Mikey Keene, a highly productive kid who started 35 games at the college level. He's been banged up and injured pretty much since he got to Michigan.
So he hasn't been able to practice a ton.
So in a way, the red carpet's been kind of rolled out. And Bryce Underwood, Michigan just wrapped up camp, and the coaches decided that they're going to roll with him this year. Is he going to get a a long rope and a long leash throughout the course of the season? It sounds that way. You know, Sharon Moore was asked that today.
The coach has been asked that question. It sounds like they're prepared to ride with him for a while. Through the ups, you know, through the downs that are surely going to happen, right? This is a talented kid. He was a five-star kid at high school, highly successful, won two state titles here in the state of Michigan.
He had all the big programs after him. He was the number one recruit in the country for a reason. But that doesn't come without pitfalls, right? He's going to make mistakes. Folks close to him have said that, right?
He's not going to be perfect every game. And I think Michigan's okay with that. This is kind of going to be a testing season for him to see how he fares. And look, Michigan's schedule early on isn't easy. And they go to Oklahoma week two and they open the Big Ten slate week four at Nebraska.
So he's going to get some tests here early on. And most definitely, Michigan football beat writer Aaron McMahon is here with us on the JR Sport Brief Show. You talk about Sharon Moore, we know that he'll be out there for the first game against New Mexico. But then he's going to miss games three and games four. How is that potentially going to affect the development of Bryce Underwood and then the team in a whole?
Yeah, that's a good question, right? When you look at kind of big picture, Shroan isn't coaching the quarterback.
So, in terms of development for Bryce, I don't see it have much of a factor. If anything, You know, it will matter. I mean, he's that coach. He dictates how practice goes. He dictates the lead of the team.
But if there's anything we've learned about this Michigan program the last few years, they've kind of been able to withstand some of that stuff. I mean, they played without Jim Harbaugh a few years back for six games. They will do it just fine. You know, it will be noticeable. Obviously, he won't be in the silence.
He won't be at practice in those days leading up to those games. Sharon's going to have to find an interim, find someone to take over for him. But in terms of Bryce Underwood, I don't see it having much of an impact. They brought in a veteran offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in Chip Lindsey this offseason to kind of help mold Bryce Underwood, turning him into that NFL prodigy that some folks think he can eventually be. And I think that's going to really what matters when it comes to Bryce.
Even outside of Sharon's two games that he's going to miss, we know that the school got hit with a 20, can be a 20 to 30 million dollar five. Fine as a result of the recruiting violations, and then also taking a look obviously at the sign stealing. There's some people who go, hey, it's Michigan, who cares about 20, 30 million? Still a lot of money, if you ask me. What are your thoughts on the financial part of the punishment?
Yeah, I think it's a bigger hit than some folks think. As you said, I think some casual fans or some folks look at the penalties and think, oh, it's money. As you said, Michigan can deal with it. They have the boosters to pay it. And that may be the case, but you've also got to factor in these days.
I mean, Athletic department budgets are more pressured than ever before with revenue sharing and NIL pressure and everything else. In fact, Michigan's athletic director earlier this year was coming out and saying, he came out and said, hey, we need to find new revenue streams to help pay the bills here because they're paying out the $20.5 million a year to student athletes.
So that money is going to have to be made up elsewhere, whether it's from boosters and donors. Maybe the collective's having to step in a little bit and increase their funding. But it's not a small tuck of change. I mean, that's almost a good chunk. That's almost an entire athletic department budget at a MAC or Sun Belt school.
So in terms of Michigan, it's probably 20 to 25% of the budget. But again, That's going to force the athletic department and their AD to have to go to school and say, hey, we need money to help make up this gap. Aaron McMahon is here with us, Michigan football writer for Ann Arbor News, as well as M Live.
Well, yeah, somebody got to pay the bills. Bryce Underwood, Saviana Hyder guys are coming in. Michigan is still having no problem going out here recruiting. We know defense is probably going to carry them throughout the course of this season. What are you expecting from the team in general?
Yeah, it's a good question. You know, they've got a lot of question marks really on both sides of the ball. You know, we talked about Bryce Underwood and how he's going to look like. They're expecting the offensive line to take a step forward with a group that wasn't very good last year, along with a group of receivers that really underperformed each season ago.
So I think the expectation is that the offense will be better than it was last year. That's not very hard to do given Michigan's ineptness throwing the football last year. The question just is how much of a leap they make. And I think that's going to determine really the trajectory of this Michigan football team. I think the defense, look, they lost a lot of big names last year.
Guys who went NFL draft first round, Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, Will Johnson, those all-American names. But they did a good job of kind of backfilling them with depth. I look at this. Rolster defensively, it really reminds me of the 2023 national championship team where you didn't have a lot of whole, like, Household names, but you had a lot of guys that can go in and play, and there wasn't a ton of drop-off with the second guys that came in the field.
So they're about, they're gonna depend on depth on the defensive side of the ball. And they're going to lean on the offense to take a step forward with Bryce Underwood at quarterback. And I think, realistically speaking, I think you're looking at probably an eight or nine win Michigan team. It certainly worlds are better than what they were last year, seven to five in the regular season. And it took a you know, wins over Ohio State and Alabama in the bowl game to get eight wins.
So I think you're looking at a Michigan team that's maybe the, you know, not maybe not necessarily competing for a Big Ten title, but on the outskirts looking in when it comes to the playoff picture at the end of the year.
Well, Aaron, with all the names that happen to be committing to the Wolverines, at what point in time do you think they'll get back into that championship contention for Big Ten titles and elsewhere? And how much rope is Sharon Moore going to get in trying to get them back there? Yeah, I think they're really a year or two away. You know, you mentioned the recruiting, and you can make a case. Sharon Moore is recruiting better than Jim Harbaugh ever did in Michigan.
Jim Harbaugh and his staff were very good at identifying three and four levels, four-star recruits and kind of molding them into their way of doing things and turning them NFL, you know, developing them into NFL prospects. Sharon Moore is kind of chasing those high fours and five-star kids, those guys that are those superstar high school recruits and trying to bring them in and getting them to play right away. You've seen that with Bryce Underwood. You mentioned Savian Heider, the five-star running back. They have coming in next year.
They got a five-star offense to tackle this year that they thought was really at a shot to start. He ended up getting a season-ending knee injury last week and won't be able to play this year. But they're really kind of going after those high-level kids. if if you know if a good chunk of those those players turn out I do think you're going to see Michigan back in the national title picture maybe next year or certainly 2027. It seems that way.
Well, you mentioned Jim Harbaugh. They won the national championship. That's what people care about. They want to see the Wolverines go out there and beat Ohio State. Uh it Does anybody care?
Like the general sentiment amongst Wolverines, the fans, the community. Are people still don't care? They're like, hey, Harbaugh brought us a championship. He went back to the NFL. And okay, yeah, sure, we got fine.
People are just, have people moved on? Does it hurt as much? Yeah, it's a good question. I don't think they care much here in Ann Arbor. I think they're happy with the national title.
You got to remember, you know, before the national title win in 2023, Michigan had gone a very long time, you know, more than 25 years without winning the national championship. And, you know, up until 2021, Jim Harble had largely underwhelmed. You know, he had a decent record. Wasn't able to beat Ohio State. They weren't able to win a Big Ten title.
So I think the fan base was so desperate and so. They wanted championships. They wanted success. I think they got a taste of that in 2021 and 2022. And then obviously winning the national title in 23.
In a way, they'd become, in a way, kind of what they detested, right? There's always this inclination up here in the north that the SEC was a bunch of cheaters, and that was the reason they won national titles and everything else. Whereas Michigan bent the rules. You can make the case, if not cheated, to win a national championship. And I think when all said and done, I think Michigan fans are largely fine with it.
They bent the rules. They did things that maybe other schools weren't doing. But they got the national championship on it. They got success. They won titles.
It was a great three-year run here in Ann Arbor. And I think they wouldn't trade that for anything. Yeah, you sign up and and keep it. Hey, Aaron, thank you so much for the time, lending your expertise. Where can people follow you and all of your work covering the Wolverines?
Yeah, we're at mlive.com slash Wolverines. And then I'm on X Twitter at Aaron McMahon, Aaron with two A's, and McMahon, M-C-M-A-N-N. Hey, Aaron, we'll catch you on down the line. Thank you for the time. Yeah, thanks for having me.
Of course, of course, shoutouts to Aaron McMahon for coming through to talk about the Wolverines. It ain't been in the news. Last week, they get the top running back recruit and hider. They named the starting quarterback, a real freshman, true freshman, and Bryce Underwood is going to get the go. Sharon Moore, we know, is going to be suspended.
Jim Harbaugh is long gone. And the Wolverines, for a team that is. Yeah, expected to maybe win that that 8-9 game win range. They're still in the news. They're still in the news for all the reasons I just mentioned.
So, thank you to Aaron McMahon. For coming through and joining us. It's the JR Sport Re Show here with you, coast to coast, on the Infiniti Sports Network. There's a lot of news going on in the world of sports. I mean, we just had a guy who just got traded to break down everything going on.

Hey, thank you so much to Aaron McMahon for joining us in the last break to talk all things Michigan. Football Covers all things Michigan football for M Live as well as Ann Arbor News. If you want to call me, you can do that too. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN.
Right before we got Aaron on the line, we got the news that came in that Kenny Pickett. has been traded to the Raiders.
Now we got a quarterback room in Cleveland that, as it stands right now, is only down to three quarterbacks. Quarterbacks where we had Joe Flacco, and then you move on to Kenny Pickett, and then you have Dylan Gabriel, and then Shador. You basically got Joe Flacco. who is now in a a quarterback room with guys that are he's almost twice their damn age.
So Cleveland Browns are certainly going to be They're going to be a fun show to watch if things really go down, and maybe this will be the Browns' position. Do they pick up another veteran quarterback? I don't know. There's no expectations for this team. Botcher, what do you think they do?
Uh Four wins? Uh I'd say they get a couple late wins, maybe six at the end of the year. But the question is, is it going to be with Joe Flacco where they don't mean anything? Or will it be Gabriel where you can build on it? And I don't I don't know I don't know how beneficial it is to play Flacco the entire year.
None. But the Browns are dumb enough to try to do that. Oh boy. Listen listen to the schedule for the Cleveland Browns to start this season. They open against Cincinnati.
They are not outscoring Cincinnati. They go to Baltimore. Not good. They're going to take on Green Bay. Not good.
They're going to take on Detroit. Not good. There's a possibility, a big one, that the Cleveland Browns start the season at 0-4. They take on Minnesota, That'll be in the I believe the UK Minnesota can beat him. Pittsburgh can beat 'em.
Miami even on Miami, I think they're on their way to being a dumpster fire, too. Miami can certainly outscore them. New England is a better team. New England should beat 'em. The New York Jets okay, New York Jets are known to lay an egg here or there, but I'd favor the New York Jets over them.
They have Baltimore again. Yeah, Las Vegas and the Browns. I'll take Las Vegas. San Francisco. I will take them.
We got Tennessee.
Okay, okay, you got another rookie quarterback here in Cam Ward. You have uh The Browns at the Chicago Bears. Oh my god, they got Buffalo, not good. They have Pittsburgh again, and then Cincinnati. The division, as we know, the AFC North.
Is already a gauntlet where you just beat the living hell out of each other, and the Browns happen to be the weakest link. It is not to their favor. in the division that they're in. Bacha, I just picked I'll just pick the opposition in every single game that they have to play. Yeah.
And you only gave maybe two two or three maybes. Two, which is Jets, Tennessee. Las Vegas. Yeah, that's not good. Yeah.
It is the NFL, though, so you're gonna get upsets and unexpected wins, but at the same time, the outlook of just saying, hey, Your favorite and maybe One or two games is not good.
Now it's pretty, pretty Bad. Oh. We'll talk more about this at the top of the hour. Kenny Pickett moved to the Raiders to back up Geno Smith. Only quarterbacks on the roster right now for the Browns after cutting Tyler Huntley.
You got Joe Flacco. You have Dylan Gabriel and you have Shador Sanders, the two rookies. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. Do you think The Browns should stick with Flacco early, or do you think they should give Dylan Gabriel Or Shadora chance, I don't know, and It's not gonna be early.
But eventually, these guys, one of the two of them, have to play. Joe Flacco is just there to. pretty much steady the ship and and get them started. I think everybody would be surprised if Flacco plays the entire season. It doesn't make sense.
This is a Browns team, they're not out here. uh competing for uh uh a championship, they're competing to find a next quarterback. That's what they need to work on. Pretty wild.
some some additional news Dylan Gabriel was seven years old. When Joe Flacco made his NFL debut Shador Sanders was six years old. When Joe Flacco debuted And so there you have a You got some numbers and information. Speaking of numbers and information, if you want to watch some of these games, how about this? We've already entered into a new world of streaming.
Youtube T V Says it's in a carriage dispute with Fox, YouTube TV has notified their customers. They have until Wednesday to reach a deal. Or subscribers of YouTube TV will lose access to Fox stations right before the NFL and college football season kicks off. This affects Fox, FS1, the Big Ten Network, Fox News Channel. And more.
So here we got Fox beefing with YouTube TV. Vacha, correct me if I'm wrong. Don't you utilize YouTube TV? I don't have YouTube TV. I refuse.
to use YouTube T V 'cause it feels like it's just leeching off of other networks. It doesn't feel like its own thing.
So I don't like it. What does that mean, leeching off of other networks? I just feel like it's it's an app designed to just have it's it's basically cable, but streaming the streaming version.
So I don't I don't like that. Because if you like UTV T V you get on the apps, the YouTube app, whatever it is. And you basically have every T V channel that you purchase in your package.
So it's basically cable for people who don't want Satellite dishes. Or a box.
So I I don't see the the whole benefit of it compared to cord cutting. And stuff like that.
So just stick what you're saying is just stick to cable. Yeah. think they have cable.
Well, it's it's one less thing to pay for. Typically, if you have cable, you're paying more than YouTube T V, right? Or is YouTube T V jacked up the price is so bad now it doesn't even matter. It's going up slowly, but it's still a little bit cheaper than cable. Yeah.
It's it's kinda crazy. We also saw Netflix Netflix has picked up the home run derby, which is just I can't say mind-boggling or scratching. Netflix is certainly getting into sports. We've seen, well, I know not necessarily a sport, but they've added the WWE, they got the home run derby. And it's been announced that Netflix and Major League Baseball Netflix is going to stream the 2026 World Baseball Classic in Japan.
And so when you think about Baseball and Baseball is on everything. Roku, Apple T V and We see that the ESPN contract is is is changing. Netflix is starting to get even more involved into sports.
So, Bach, I know you say you hate the. the idea of paying for something like a YouTube T V, but that that looks like it's the future, man. There'll always be ways to get around it. I'm not worried. Uh oh.
I didn't say no, I'm just saying because all there'll always be Another platform. That gets big, and then we'll take the rights away.
So I if I don't need to get YouTube TV, I can live without it. If anything, you you watch it. on replay. You just pay for everything indiv well, all I do is watch the news and sports. I ain't missing nothing.
Yeah, and you get the national televised game still, so I'm not worried about that. It's just... Oh, that's the E S B enter. How come ESPN, are they giving away a free trial for this? Are they just like everybody knows ESPN?
Who cares? Pay for it right out the box. I didn't even see anything I'm still confused what it is because There's not a separate app. They said that the the the advanced ESPN app I don't see anything different in the app. I don't see anything different in terms of viewership and what I why I can watch yet.
It's T V, it's Plus, it's everything they it's streaming without cable. But I ha I had ESPN Plus already, so what's the difference? No, but you didn't wa you didn't watch ESPN. You could not stream ESPN on ESPN Plus. I had ESPN and ESPN Plus on my phone.
And you watched ESPN T V Yes, I had ESPN through my T V provider at home.
Well, that's the point. This is for people who don't have the television you don't need the television provider, you don't need cable. You're paying ESPN directly as opposed to paying for cable and plus. But when you talk about ESPN Plus Did that not include ESPN already? No, it didn't stream, no.
Okay, so you you basically were just paying for the the three random college games you're gonna get. per year Or the random Pocket game you get every now and then. You don't now you don't need a cable provider to watch the games. You can or to get ESPN.
Now you can get it right from ESPN direct to consumer without needing a Cox, Infinity, a Cable Vision, and a Warner time. You don't need any of that. That that's that's that's all out the window. And you just Straight from the source, which is how a lot of people want it. I mean, I think we discussed this.
Now you can go ahead and package everything up. Disney owns ESPN, it has Hulu. I'm missing something else there. Um But they're gonna make sure that you just Just pay them. I mean, cable.
I'm not going to say it's going by the wayside. I think for maybe a few more decades, maybe another decade or so, we're going to have cable, but eventually. I think all the streaming is is just going to take over. Eight eight eight seven ten four I S N That's eight eight eight seven ten four I S N I mean, this y you think about even how Now boxing. Has changed.
There's no Showtime investment into boxing. There's no HBO investment into boxing. I talked about Netflix picking up Major League Baseball, the home run derby, the World Baseball Classic. I can't believe it's already coming back in 2026. We we got Netflix doing these boxing events.
Just in a few weeks we're gonna have Uh Canelo and and and Bud Crawford, these two guys are going to be out there. That's going to be on Netflix. When Gervante Davis goes out in And and and he takes on Jake Paul. That's gonna be on Netflix, so it's just... Get ready for streaming.
If you don't like it, too bad. 888-710-4ISN. Brian is here from Jacksonville. You're on the JR Sport Reef Show. Hey, Joe.
How's it going, sir? Good, go ahead. Yes, just regarding the Brown situation, I mean, I'm a Ravens fan, so obviously, I want to see a double dose of Flacco versus my boys. But at the same time, I mean, you just said it. They're they're pretty much set up for a disaster this year, so I don't understand why they wouldn't just acknowledge that it's going to be a battle and just let it be a battle, because I feel like that'd probably be their best outcome for the season, just to let them kind of duke it out, you know?
Yeah, but you you you gotta play You have to do things In the right order. Before you throw the gods to the Wolves, is it really a competition? It's not. Yes, but I mean, at the same time, like what is Flacco going to do? Go out there and get them four or five wins just as a proven bet, whereas you have these two young guys.
I mean, you might as well set yourself up for the next season is my only point. But that's what they're doing. They're going to throw Flacco out there so they don't look like a complete disaster. And then when they start to look like a disaster, they'll naturally pivot over to. one or both of the rookies to get their shot and opportunities up.
Hey, it's just like you said real quick, just like you said uh earlier, it's like Barry's job could be on the line. I mean, Stefanski should be at this point. But what is Stefansky gonna do? Because he's the head coach, but I mean, Barry's the one kind of making these calls, so it's just been kind of weird for them. I kind of feel bad for them.
It is. Well, thank you, Brian, for calling from Jacksonville. I feel bad for the Browns fans. How about that? I do.
We're going to hear from some of the Browns on the other side of the break. It's the JR Sport Reef Show here with you on the Infiniti Sports Network. Don't move. I'm Josh Err. And I'm Nicole and I eat it.
And we're the cooks responsible for all the strange dishes on the internet's most-watched daily show, Good Mythical Morning with Red and Link, and our own YouTube channel, Mythical Kitchen. Between the two of us, we've worked almost every weird job the food industry has to offer, and we've developed some pretty strong opinions. The strongest opinions, Nicole? Opinions so strong they need to be heard on an easily consumable auditory medium. Does pineapple belong on pizza?
Are boneless wings just poser nuggets? Is cereal soup? Follow and listen to a hot dog is a sandwich free on the Odyssey app and everywhere you get your podcasts. Yeah.
