Thank you so much to you for listening. On the free Odyssey app, on your local Infiniti Sports Network affiliate, on SiriusXM375, on a smart speaker.

Well, all you have to do is ask the speaker to play the Infiniti Sports Network. Whether you're on a phone, a tablet, a computer, iPad, a radio, your car, wherever you are, whatever you're doing. Thank you for being here. We've had a busy show. I get started 6 p.m.

Eastern, 3 Pacific. We talked about Matthew Stafford and his bad back. The guy needed in Epidoral He's having an issue with the disk. It's August. He hasn't even played in a game.

He hasn't practised. And his back. is killing him. Aaron Rodgers said he's willing to play in the preseason. Even though he said the preseason games are not real football, whatever Mike Tomlin wants, I'm going to do it.

Oh, thank you, uh thank you, Aaron Rogers. Jerry Jones says he is insulted. Insulted BY Michael Parsons not accepting his contractual offer.

Well, maybe you need to stop insulting your players. Roger Goodell. He explained the fact that ESPN is Well, now distributing NFL Red Zone. That the NFL now has a 10% stake in ESPN. We had a great chat with NFL historian, writer Russell Baxter joined us last hour.

and we have so much more to get into. Of course it's Wednesday. I'm about to share with you a new top six list. We're going to take a look at some of the biggest divas in sports today. Thank you for being here.

And you can always give me a holler. 888-710-4ISN is the number. That's 888-710-4ISSN. four I S N. You can also get a hold of me.

I exist on the Internet. At J.R. Sport Brief. I see Mike Vrabel got involved in a little bit of a fight today.

Well, not a fight. Out here practicing with the guys and got Bust it open. I mean, that's. That's what happens. He still thinks he's a player.

You goin' get hurt. Every now and then. And we got more to get into. Of course, at the end of the show, We'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history. And we got some history that will be made in a few days.

We have our first female umpire in Major League Baseball. She'll be making her debut. in a couple of days.

So we got a lot to get into and speaking of uh Female anything. The WNBA players cannot catch a break. Bacha, will you tell your friends to stop throwing the rubber objects onto the court? Hey, I'm not a friend with Delbert. Delbert and I have nothing in common.

Well It's not just Delbert, there's two other people that did it.

Now it's a copycat league.

So what, are people just gonna throw rubber objects on the the court all year long now? Uh if they can get through security with it. How many more people need to get arrested before they stop? How bad are they going to prison for? That's the real question.

We gotta wait to see what happens. And it depends on every city and county, you know. Yeah, so it's probably like a threat to it's like a safety hazard, right? Assault, technically. Yeah, they're gonna have to make an example out of Delbert.

Because I mean we can't We can't start grabbing people on the way into the games unless somebody walks in, and at that point, if it's metal, it's not a rubber object, you know? Yeah, so I think it's just. The question There's a secondary question here. How are they getting it into the arena? Is the real question?

Is it really that difficult? If the security are doing their jobs, checking everybody. If they're checking every bag, Correctly. You don't need to put it in a bag to get it in. Yeah.

What are we gonna start grabbing people on the way in? Come on, we can't do that. I don't know, but it's like It's so dumb. that we're even talking about this as like oh we need to have higher security to uh stop these incidents. The there was a a WNBA player who thought they needed more security and she got hit with one last night.

Yeah, then she said, Yeah, I should have uh expected nothing less. Yeah, or ne hey, she brought it into existence, so hey. Don't don't bring up things that you don't want. Never mind, just. Uh good good luck to the duck.

The WNBA cannot catch a break. If they're not you know, taking a dump on Caitlin Clark if the players aren't killing her, if they're not playing hard in the All Star game, if they're not saying they need more money.

Now they got rubber objects that are being thrown at them. uh during these games. It's um We'll talk more about that before we get out of here, okay? I did tell you, it's Wednesday. Every Wednesday, I bring you a new top six list.

I'm happy. This is something I've been doing since 2009. on YouTube. And now, spending the past, what are we now, five years with you here on the Infiniti Sports Network? Yeah, I've been here five years, 2020.

I'm happy to have brought this to the radio. And why the hell not? And so Every Wednesday is a new top six list, and there are a lot of individuals in the sports world right now. who just don't know How to stay out of their way. There's some individuals in the world of sports Who needs to be the center of attention?

Everything needs to revolve around them.

sometimes to their own detriment, Sometimes to the detriment of their teams, their organizations. And so today, because quite a few of these individuals. made me think out loud about this, I wanted to bring you a top six list. of some of the biggest divas in sports today. Quite frankly, The world revolves around them.

Or at least They think it does. Let's go.

So One It's time to get JR's latest top six list. only on the JR Sport Brief. It is the JR Sport Reeshow here with you coast to coast. On the Infinity Sports Network. It's time for a new top six list.

We're taking a look at some of the biggest divas, the top six divas in sports today. These athletes, these individuals, these individuals, these personalities in the world of sports. The world has to revolve around them.

sometimes to their detriment.

Sometimes. Hey, well, it's a top six list. It's a countdown. Where do we start? Number six.

This guy The world has revolved around him since he was a teenager. And I have him here at number six. I don't think it's a bad thing at this point in time. I still think it's pretty an amazing thing, or pretty much an amazing thing. At number six on my list: top six divas in sports.

It's LeBron James. And no, this doesn't have anything to do with a decision. This doesn't have anything to do with comments about China. This doesn't have anything to do with a terrible Space Jam movie. LeBron James is towards the end of his career.

He's getting ready to be 41 years old. He's still playing at a ridiculously high level. But the world revolves around him because he wants it to. LeBron James for the first time in a long time. doesn't have The same type of leverage in his career.

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking at Luka Doncic. And they're saying this is a guy that we can build around. To move forward. And as a result, LeBron James? He is being very passive aggressive.

and getting his message out. LeBron James is not an NFL player. But he is negotiating publicly to make sure that he has as much leverage as possible. At the end of the season, LeBron James, the guy who's now on an expiring contract for the first time in his career. LeBron was asked how long he'll play for after this season.

Listen to this response. I don't know. I don't have the answer to that.

Something I sit down with my family, my wife, and uh My support group and kind of just talk through it and see what happens. And then just have a conversation with myself on how long I want to continue to play. Yeah man, we know you are gonna at least continue to play into this year. And then he opted into his new contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. And then it came with a message from his agent and friend, Rich Paul, who pretty much said, Yeah, LeBron is re signing with the Lakers, but we hope the Lakers are still committed to winning.

We're happy to be here. The Lakers didn't put out no messages.

So LeBron James is Posting photos of him hanging out in Cleveland. He's taking videos and photos of him working out at the old Clippers facility that Clutch Sports now owns. LeBron James. He's being passive-aggressive. His agent, Rich Paul, even answered a question about whether or not LeBron is going to get moved.

Is he going to get traded? Listen to this from Full Court Press. Everybody really want to know. It's Braun getting traded. You know that.

No. You know, if Braun come to the Knicks. That means I can see you every day. Listen, we on the chat. I'm not listening.

To answer your question, the man has a no-trade clause in the store.

So he can't get traded? He has a no-trade call. It's up to him. Oh, it's up to him if you want to leave. No, it's up he hasn't no trade clause.

So in the event When a player has a no-trade call and a team wants to trade that player, that player has the ability to say no.

Well, we know LeBron is going to exercise that. To its fullest ability, LeBron James, the world has revolved around him for 20 years. It's slowing down. And he's still trying to hold on. I don't blame him.

All-time leading scorer, more minutes, four-time MVP, four-time champ, three gold medals, 22nd season, getting ready to hit the 23rd. Yeah, the world revolves around him. Not in a bad way. Let him go out on top, okay? The best way that he can.

But I got him number six on my list. Top six divas in sports today. LeBron is six. Where are we going next? Number five.

It's another NBA player At number five on the list, It is joil and bead. Yeah, Joe yeah, the guy who played 39 games last year. The guy who's broken his face. His hand His feet His knees suck. He just had knee surgery.

He is a walking game. of operation. Joel Lembi, the same guy who, despite only playing 39 games last year, is 31 years old right now. He ain't getting any younger. He signed a four-year $250 million contract.

He got three more years left on that deal, by the way. I don't know how the hell his body is going to make it. It probably won't. Jolen Bede is the most woe is me guy ever. He complained when he didn't get MVP.

And then he won MVP. Barely played enough games to win MVP. Immediately got hurt after winning MVP. Won a gold medal just to win a gold medal. And it was back to being hurt.

But then we'll complain to you. That everybody treats me so bad because I play so hard. Come on, man. Joel Enbi, he said this more than a year ago. He's like, why are y'all so mad at me?

I just play hurt all the time. Listen to this. I've done way too much, you know, for this city and, you know, putting myself at risk, you know, for people to be saying that.

So I do think this is bull. Like that dude is not here. Marcus, whatever his name is. I've done way too much for this city to be treated like this.

So Don't wait, wait. much but Like I said. I wish I was as lucky as other ones, but that doesn't mean that I'm not trying and I'm not doing whatever it takes to be out there, which I'm going to be here pretty soon. Oh, come on, man. Man, that was from more than a year ago.

Joel and Beat. I do too much for this city. I do too much. No, listen, bro. Nobody wants to hear that.

If people in Philadelphia, you want to do something for the city, you would have stopped the transit workers, or excuse me, you would have stopped the garbage guys from going on strike. Ain't nobody thinking about you like that, Joel Embiid? And anyway, then you got Patrick Beverly. who is sitting on a podcast. And Patrick Beverly said, Yeah, Joel and Bead, he complains about everything.

Listen to this. Right, it's been times with Joe L and B one known time I'm up. To practice. And you know, me, come on, Joe, man. What's up, G?

Come on, man. Come on, Joe. Come on, Joe. Be better, Joe. Be great, Joe.

Be great. And then it's responsible be like What the f way you get me out of f bed, I've An hour and a half away. I mean, I had to get up two hours, you know, before because everyone doesn't live in the same spot. Right. You know what I'm saying?

So. Like, what we go do? Give me my ball. That same night, he had 50, and we won. Yeah.

You know, I think we were 21-9 in the first 30 games, like the best record since 2004. Allen Iverson when I was with Philly.

So it's just surprising to see, especially because all the hard work that Nick Nurse and his coaches have put in. It's hard to see. Yeah, what a shock. Joel and B can't even get up to go to work on time. But he's given us 50.

Yeah, when he's able to play. Yeah, it's not going to end good, man. Thank God they got all those young guards in Philadelphia. You want to talk about a big old diva in sports today? Joel and Biete, number five on the list.

What number is next? Number four.

Now I gotta give this guy credit. Because typically he'd be so high up on this list, but he has been on his best behavior, even though I'm sure it is pain in him, it hurts him right now. I got Aaron Rodgers at number four on my list of top six divas in sports today. Any other year, he'd be at number one, but he's calmed down. Just a little bit.

Somebody else who also is just like, I can't stand this guy, it's Terry Bradshaw. You might recall before Aaron Rodgers signed with the Steelers, when he made them wait. Terry Bradshaw pretty much said. Yeah, this guy's chewing tree bark and he's eating this and he's, you know, worshiping this and sitting up in the mountains and don't sign them. The warmer, kindler, gentler Aaron Rodgers, who still needs to appear on Pat McAfee once a week, Aaron Rodgers was a.

He was calm about Terry Bradshaw's comments. Listen to this kinder diva. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I whisper to the gods every single day. Damn right.

I've known Terry for a long time, being a part of Fox. Terry's a legend. He's an absolute legend. He won four Super Bowls. He's had a legendary career in the media.

But Terry, like a lot of people, doesn't know me. And so he's got an idea of what he thinks about me based on what I've done, the documentary, what I've said, Darkness Retreat, whatever the hell you want to talk about. I'd love to get to know Terry on a deeper level. And I feel like if he gave me a chance to get to know him, that we'd have a good friendship because for me, I have nothing but the utmost amount of respect and deference for what the greats have done because they laid the foundation for us to be able to play in this great game, to be paid like kings, and to carry on the tradition of excellence.

So I'd love to get to know Terry on a deeper level if he's open to it. And maybe we can go chew some bark or whatever the hell he's talking about together. Look at that kinda gentle Aaron Rodgers. less arrogant. I mean, today we got the more arrogant version of Aaron Rodgers.

Yeah, when Aaron Rodgers said. That he would play if Mike Tomlin wanted him to play in the preseason. But then Aaron Rodgers then said: the preseason isn't real football. Listen to what Aaron Rodgers had to say. Earlier.

Today. I said a lot, you know. With all due respect, then I can say whatever I want. Preseason football is not necessarily real football because the defenses just don't do a whole lot. And the offensives don't either.

So you go out there with a very limited playbook against the defenses playing one eye zone, one high man, or two eyes owned. And there's not much pressure. There's oftentimes communication between the coaches about, hey, we're not going to pressure this week, or hey, we need to see a little bit of pressure. Yeah, kindler. gentler.

Aaron Rodgers. I got him at number four on my list. Top six divas in sports today. Aaron Rodgers, four. Who's next?

Number three. It's Rory McElroy. Yeah, we got a golfer. This guy just won the masters. Yeah, I know he hasn't won a major since 2014.

You would think he'd be in a good mood. He's been nothing but miserable. You know, he feels that the media has been twisting his words and and and Deciphering and breaking things down, and so he has basically been on a media strike. The guy. Just became the sixth member of the Grand Slam Club, and all he's done is become grumpy.

I mean, he just decided that he is not playing at the start of the playoff right now for the PGA tour. He's just miserable all the way around. This is Rory McElroy not too long ago saying, you know what?

Okay. Why am I not speaking to the media? This is why. No, not really. It's more a frustration with you guys.

But yeah. I'm just. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I have, I've been totally available for the last few years, and I'm not saying maybe not you guys, but maybe more just the. The whole thing.

The whole driver thing, which I mean, yeah, part of it, I mean, that was a part of it. Um. Yeah, that was That was that was a part of it. Um But it's not as if like at Augusta I skipped you guys. Uh on Thursday, so um Yeah, again, it's not as if it's not out of the ordinary.

I've done it before. I'm just doing it a little more often. I feel like I've earned the right to do whatever I want to do, yeah. But damn, communicate with the fans. This is golf, man.

Ain't nobody whooping your ass that bad. You're not being scrutinized like, I don't know, some NFL quarterback.

So just get off of it, man. This is golf. He was mad that a driver during the PGA championship was non-conforming. He was mad it was leaked by the media. And he had a fit about that, man.

It's golf. Take it easy, bruh. One of the most successful golfers who's been known to choke, and he's mad: get out of here. This man. Rory McElroy has made Millions and millions and hundreds of millions of dollars.

Get over yourself. I got Roy McElroy number three on my list. You want to talk about divas and sports? Yeah, he's number three. Where are we going next?

Number two. Oh, I can't stand this guy. You want to talk about Adiva in sports today? At number two I have Tyreek Hill. Yeah, the guy who who quit on his team at the end of the season.

He said he wanted to move on, move elsewhere. The guy who basically then said, Oh, I was just passionate and wanted to move along. The same guy that was detained on his way to the stadium to begin last season, the Miami Dolphins opener. The same guy back in college who pled guilty to domestic assault. This guy.

Tyreek Hill. It's just a pain in the ass everywhere. He is not Antonio Brown. He is a ticking time bomb when it comes to just the locker room and a team. He's hoping to blow the Miami Dolphins up.

This is what he had to say in January when the Dolphins season ended. He quit on them, allegedly, temporarily. This is my first time I I haven't been in the playoffs man, so I mean for me, like I said, man, I just gotta do what's best for me and my family, dog. If that's here, if that's where, wherever the case may be, man, I'm finna open that door for myself, dog. As I'm opening the door, like.

Now it's for you. I'm out, bro. You know, so it was great playing here, but. Yeah, and then he had to apologize. He had to apologize all summer.

His agent had to go, oh, no, no, that's not what he meant. And now he's kissing everybody's backside. Everybody in Miami's on pins and needles because this guy wants to leave.

Well, damn it, he is going to be gone soon. It just thinks that this diva is going to help take the dolphins down with him. Not all his fault, by the way. Tua is not winning in anything below 50 degrees.

Sorry, Tua. It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you, Coast to Coast on the Infinity Sports Network. I'm giving you a top six list of some of the biggest divas in the world of sports today. When we come back on the other side of the break, I'm going to tell you who I have at Numero Uno. You're listening to the JR Sport Reshow, Coast to Coast, on the Infinity Sports Network.

You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you, Coast to Coast, on the Infinity Sports Network. Yeah, every Wednesday I bring you a new top six list. Today? We're talking about the biggest divas.

In sports today. I'm minutes away from sharing who I have at number one with you. If you've missed any of the list and the audio and the sound, all that fancy stuff, if you weren't here last break, you can go ahead and listen. on the free Odyssey app. Top six divas in sports today.

At number six I gave you Lebron James. And number five. I gave you Joel and Bede. And number four, I gave you Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, what a fall.

How about that? And number three. I gave you A golfer. I gave you Rory McIlroy. I don't want to talk to the media.

You guys always twist up my words. I don't want to talk to you guys. You hurt my feelings. Yeah, Rory McIlroy. Number three on my list.

And number two. This guy has been in trouble since he's been in college. He's just been destructive. He's doing things off the field. He's a pain in the ass in the locker room.

You never know what he's gonna say. He wants to race Olympians and I don't at number two, I gave you Tyreeko. The Miami Dolphins are a ticking time bomb. And he is he's at the centre of it. Right now.

So I got Tariq Hill at number two. on my list. If Tyree Kill is number two, Yeah, a typical D.Va wide receiver. Tyreek Hill number two on the list. Where could we possibly go next?

Number one At number one, I give you Jerry Jones. Oh yeah, he's a diva. He's the number one diva in sports today. Clueless. Out of touch.

feeling and believing that the world revolves around him, God bless him. It's been able to turn the Dallas Cowboys into the most valuable sports franchise and property on planet Earth. But when it comes to winning, yes, advancing towards winning a championship, this guy. Is running on a treadmill because he feels and believes the world revolves around him. If the goal is to make money, Oh, yeah, this guy's winning.

If the goal is to lift another Vince Lombardi trophy, something that he hasn't done since the 95 season. Oh yeah, there there's no winning there. With Jerry Jones. He cannot get out of his own way. The man took over the Dallas Cowboys in 1989.

He's going through nine different coaches. Damn it, he had his buddy coaching the team when he first got there after he fired Tom Lantry and then him and Jimmy Johnson. Got sick of each other. And so it doesn't matter if it's 1992 or 1993 or 2025, Jerry Jones. Has always been His own Worst.

enemy Come on. I mean, if we go back to when he got rid of Jimmy Johnson, or him and Jimmy Johnson no longer got along, Jerry Jones, it took him a while before he even realized. Yeah, you know what? I I I screwed that up. I I could have done better.

I want you to listen. This is going back to 93. Let's go back to Jerry Jones. Just answering on this report. That he was going to fire Jimmy Johnson.

Listen to this. The uh night before, uh on an off-the-record basis. I basically, which is something that I do quite often, tossed A lot of things around regarding the Cowboys, the league, the NFL, and that was one of them, but that wasn't given any serious consideration on my part. No, he he wasn't going to fire. It was a it was a mutual parting of the ways.

The Dallas Cowboys, they won one more championship with Barry Switzer, who basically had Jimmy Johnson's roster, and they haven't won anything since. Jerry Jones's own worst enemy. Firing a legend, hiring his friend. His friend did a good job, firing his friend, his friend and him, they got sick and tired of each other. And now you got this guy dealing with Michael Parsons.

He won't even acknowledge his agent. This is yeah, yeah, what you heard was from nineteen ninety three. Here we are in twenty twenty five. You got Jerry Jones needling an agent. I don't need an agent to sign Michael Parsons.

I don't need that. L remember this from a few months ago? Are you kidding me? That's just not something that you should worry about. You should be worrying about your ability.

to make it work and you should be worried about what the player does. Does he have good enough health? Does he have enough skill? to do what you're paying him the money for. The agent is not a factor here.

Okay. or something to worry about. And I don't know his name. And so my point is that I'm not trying to demean you in any way. But this isn't about a nature.

The agent doesn't have one thing to do. with what we're doing. when we get on a football field against a team. Micah does. To the degree I'm involved either.

Oh, come on. How much has changed between now and then? Nothing. There's just there hasn't been another championship. Nothing.

Jerry Jones. Yeah, the owner of a professional franchise. What a shockwriter, billionaire. Jerry Jones is the biggest diva. in the world of sports to day.

He might have the most valuable franchise. He's also the biggest diva. Can't get out of his own way. Thinks the world revolves around him. is so much into himself that he can't step aside.

and allow the team to get better. And that part for the Dallas Cowboy fans? That part sucks 'cause he ain't going anywhere. I'm not wishing it on him, but it doesn't appear he's going anywhere. Maybe the McDonald's and all the salt will catch up to him at some point in time.

He's not giving up the reins. There's only one way, okay? It's the J.R. Sport Ree Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. You talk about the top six divas, the biggest divas in sports today.

At number six, I gave you LeBron James. And number five, I gave you Joel Embiid. And number four, I gave you Aaron Rodgers. And number three, Rory McElroy. And number two, It's high retail.

and a number one the biggest diva in sports to day. I give you Jerry Jones. The phone lines are open if you want to give me a holler. We're talking about some of the biggest divas in sports today. Who are some individuals who can't get out of their own way?

Who are some individuals, who are some players, some coaches, some owners who think that the world revolves around them? 888. 710. 4ISN is the number. That's 888-710-487.

For ISN, we're talking about the biggest divas in sports today. I'm going to get to your phone calls on the other side of the break. Hey, I'm going to ask our producer, Bacha, I'm going to get his thoughts on who. Might be a big old diva. We'll get to your calls and more, but right now, let's get into a news flash.

Here he is: it's Rich Ackerman. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. I love that eighty nine point three per cent. Very specific number. Very specific there.

888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. I just gave you a new top six list, taking a look at some of the biggest divas in the sports world today. At number six, I gave you LeBron James. And number five, I gave you Joel M.

Biede. and number four, I gave you Aaron Rodgers. And number three, I gave you Rory McElroy. At number two, I gave you Tyree Kill. And at number one, the biggest diva in sports today.

I gave you Jerry. Jones. If you missed the full explanations, if you missed the reasons, go ahead and hit Rewind on the free Odyssey app. Is there a bigger diva that I missed? Is there someone who comes to your mind who's a diva?

Someone the world revolves around them. Just everything is about them. For typically a lot of the wrong reasons. Call me 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN.

And we're talking about the biggest divas in sports today. I need you to thank O'Reilly Auto Parts for all of your car care needs. Get guaranteed low prices and excellent customer service from the professional parts people. at O'Reilly. Auto parts 888-710-4ISN.

This is typical. Let's start off. We got Alan. Alan is calling from Toronto. He's going to tell us about one of the biggest divas in sports today.

Alan, you're on the JR Sport Reshow. What's up? James Hardin. I call him the Weirdo Beardo. I know it it might be an insult, but uh He's currently with the L.A.

Clippers. I haven't had too much too many complaints about it, but. Look at the four years he had in Oklahoma, wheeled his way out. Nine years in Houston. two years in Brooklyn and two years in Philly, and they they had a pretty talented team.

His massive talent is overshadowed by his diva ways. You know, his extracurricular activities uh cause it caused me disdain. I should have admiration for him because of his massive talent, but I have nothing but disdain for him. It's me first, me and I instead of we and us. Yeah.

You know, I just can't stand his evil ways. I never did. I'm just thinking. In the year 2025. James Harden for the past couple of seasons There hasn't been a squeak out of this guy since he's been in LA.

Since he's been in Los Angeles we haven't heard a word.

So I can't disagree with you. about complaining about his teammates in Houston. I'm not mad at the guy for saying, screw this Brooklyn thing, I ain't playing with Kyrie, I'm out of here. I mean, those are all justifiable. But I think over the past several years Things have been quiet on that front.

I think James Harden has been pretty quiet. I don't know if I'd put him on the list at this point in time, for right now. Yeah, he uh he has improved a little bit and his His attendance is a lot better, too. He played 72 games in 2024. Yeah, he always.

He always plays. I just think if we got it, if we got to think about right now, I think James Harding gets a pass. He's been quiet. Let's see. And even, I don't know, let's see what his old ass team does.

The Unks. Hey, Alan, thank you for calling from Toronto. Great show. As always, thank you very much for taking my call, JR. Absolutely, Alan.

Thank you for calling from Toronto. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. 4ISN. James is calling from Texas.

You're on the JR Sport Brief Show. What's on your mind, James?

Well Look, I'm a Dallas Cowboy fan, big time, okay? My whole life. And, you know, man, I disagree about Jerry Jones. And I'll tell you why.

Okay. Because Like And I have this argument all the time. That's his theme.

Okay? And he's the one dishing out the money. And we think that We think that, you know. There's a lot of things that we don't know. But Like He made a deal.

But I think the problem in this deal is the agent. And and not so much Uh, 'cause I I think he wants to pay Micah. But I mean, but you gotta remember this too, okay? Just remember this. That um That Yeah, yes, go ahead.

When you think somebody is the highest-paid player in the NFL or the highest-paid defense player in the NFL.

Well, James, I want to let's let's save some time here. I'm not calling and and and my reasoning's in the last break. wasn't strictly on Michael Parsons. That wasn't even solely really a focus on Obviously he owns the team. The team as a business is highly successful in generating money.

Of course, he owns it and he can do whatever he wants to do with it. But there are very few owners in the space of professional sports who are more outward about being involved in everything related to their organization than Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones hasn't had the ultimate success with this organization. in 30 years. You can make tons and tons of money.

Or you can say, hey, let me go out here and win championships. He is so involved in everything, so outfront in everything. He's too old to realize and too into himself to realize he's the guy who's in the way. This predates anything having to do with Michael Parsons. And the agent's name, by the way, is David Mulligetta.

Okay? He doesn't sign me. I don't sign him to anything. I've communicated with the guy once or twice over the past 15 years. I personally don't have a problem with the guy.

His name is David Mulligetta. And from all indications, via what we know is that Jerry Jones hasn't communicated with him. And so I just wanted to address two separate issues. I'm not looking at Jerry Jones right now. in this situation with Micah in calling him a diva.

I could look at the past thirty years, thirty-five years, I could go back to nineteen eighty nine, and I got reason after reason after reason to call Jerry Jones a diva. Yeah. I understand that, but I I also say this, you know, like We don't never talk about Franchises like the Texan. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm not, no, no, no, no, no, wait, let's stop. We're you're not talking to to y'all.

You're talking to me.

So, I can't speak for what you hear or what you listen to in relation to anybody else. If you want to say something specifically to me about what I say or don't say, Then let me know.

Well, no, I'm just saying that that they're saying this. That he had success But success is a Super Bowl. I heard you m saying something a little bit earlier about Oh well Day one with Jimmy's talent. And well guess what? Mm-hmm.

Jerry was the one that got that talent to come. To Dallas to win. Jerry had to sign off on that Herschel Walker's. Yeah. Absolutely.

So, I mean, yes, they've been in a slump, and there's no doubt. And I'm sure he's made lots of mistakes, but he's also signed some pretty good players.

Well, there's no doubt. No, that's not a debate, James. The debate is, there comes a point in time where you have to be smart enough to move the heliporn out the way. That's it. I got but I but I'll I'll just say this.

because I just mentioned that it's his team It's his toy. You know what I mean?

Well, James. No, no bleep. That is not a point for dispute. Every single owner, whether I'm looking at I don't know, Matt Ishbia with the Phoenix Suns, whether I have to look at Woody Johnson with the Jets or Jerry Jones with the Cowboys. I can go through every owner of every organization.

You can do whatever the hell you want with your team. That doesn't mean that what you are doing with your team is smart. No bleep, he can do what he wants. He's been doing what he wants, and what he's been doing is pretty stupid over the past several years. Yeah, the only thing that I would say that I don't agree with, and he does.

Is I think he waits too long to pay his players. Yeah, and that's dumb. Yeah, because he wants to be out front. He is more concerned with winning media and upping his valuation, which is smart and genius. He's smart in that regard.

But when it comes to winning, you know who's in the way? He is. For don't give me reason. No, no, no, I didn't say he doesn't want to win. I didn't say he doesn't want to win.

How he's going about it is what makes him a diva. He knows how to stand in the way. He's not smart enough. to move. He's like a deer.

He's like a deer, James. Uh excuse me? His son is, you know, his son's got a son. No, no, no, no, no. Forget his son.

You told, no, we can't, no, we're not going to get into that, James. We just, and thank you for calling from Texas. We just talked about well you talked about point after point. about who owns the team. And he owns the team and he can do whatever he wants.

You gonna tell me about what about his son? Is his son buying out daddy? Or is his son there because daddy owns the team? Which one is it? Is his son neutered because his daddy?

Like, what are we doing here? Oh, it's not just Jerry also his son. No, no, no, no, no, let's not do that. Is the sun what w what is the sun doing? His son is showing up to work.

So when the ink dries one day, that he can be the owner of the Dallas Cowboys. It's really that simple. Unless he goes How much is this team worth?

Okay, fine. All right, I'm outta here. I'm outta here. Look. Anybody could do whatever they want with what they own.

That doesn't mean they're smart. You never saw anybody buy a piece of property or land or land? You never seen anybody purchase a home? and then watch them destroy it. Never seen anybody buy a house?

And let the weeds run wild? You've never seen somebody buy a house and and renovate it until it was an eyesore? Oh, yeah, they can do. Whatever they want with their home, Because they bought it. That doesn't mean that it's uh You know nice to look at in the neighborhood.

Jerry Jones can do whatever he wants with the Dallas Cowboys. That doesn't mean that that that smarter neighbors aren't drivin' by going Look at the idiot who owns this house. What the hell is he doing? Look at these shrubs. Look at this garage he built on the outside.

And what the hell is that? They put a sculpture in the front. Yeah, Jerry Jones has the biggest house on the block. It's pretty crappy on the inside, okay? It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network.

888-710-4ISN is the number. That's 888-710-4ISS-SNSNS. For ISN. I'll get to more of your calls on the other side of the break. We'll talk about hard knocks, which debuted last night, get into a few things that took place this day in sports history.
