Thank you to our producer in New York City, Ryan Botcher, and thank you again. For being here with us at the start of the show. It's Wednesday. Every Wednesday I bring you a new top six list. It's an interesting time.
On the sports calendar. I mean, we got. We got the MLB draft coming up this weekend. We got the rookie. A summer league camp going on in the NBA.
I'm going to give you a top six list. of some of the best rookie performances ever. In sports, that top six list is coming your way. In two hours from now, speaking of a rookie. Man, he's played two seasons.
He's drafted three years ago. Chet Holmgram. A young guy. He got paid a lot, a lot. Of money.
Caitlin Clark, she was a rookie last year. She's been hurt a bunch this year. Caitlin Clark. Caitlin Clark, excuse me, she returned to action today. Let me just say she she wasn't good.
Ben Shelton, we talked about him yesterday. One of the two American men remaining in Wimbledon, uh, twenty two year old. He lost. Not a good day for young people, maybe, at least those two. And then this guy ain't young, he's pushing 60.
Uh Deion Sanders. He spoke today. at Big 12 Media Day. He brought some young people with him. And we don't know which young guy is going to start at quarterback now that his son.
Is hopefully throwing for the Cleveland Browns. As a matter of fact, we're going to have Brian Howell. who's gonna join us from the Boulder City Camera. You'll be here with us next. hour.
There's so much to do. You can always listen to the show on the free Odyssey app. Your local Infinity Sports Network affiliate. If you have serious XM. It's channel 375.
You got a smart speaker. Ask the speaker to play the infinity. Sports. Network. You want to be a part of the show?
You can do that too. Do you have a phone? Does it work? Do you have a thought? Do you have an opinion?
You can call me. 888-710-45. 4ISN is the number. That's 888-710. Four.
Aye. And Bacha, good to be back with you on the middle of the week. It's already the middle of the week. Crazy to think about it. It's flying by, flying by.
This entire time. time has been flying. We went over this, I feel like earlier this week, where like How's it already July? And how's it already July 9th? It's insane.
Here we are, July 9th. Just celebrated the holiday about a week ago, and now we're here at Hump Day. I'm going to do my best. to get you over The hump. Oh, I can f how how'd I forget about this?
We also have some news when it comes down to Major League Baseball. We got the All-Star game. That's less than a week away at this point. They're going to be utilizing that automated ball strike. challenge system.
I guess they want to highlight their technology during the All-Star game. There's no guarantee that it's going to be used. But they want to highlight What it can do on the biggest stage. It's one thing to do it in spring training. It's another thing to do it in the minor leagues.
It's a whole nother ball game. to have it when you have all of your best players out there. At the time.
So, Major League Baseball actually did something smart. We'll talk more about that. later on in the show. Let's get to this right now because I I mentioned it yesterday. I brought it up.
The fact that we got Big Twelve Media Day. Over the course of two days, Tuesday and today, Wednesday. And yesterday we got the commissioner of the Big 12, Brett Yermark, decided to. you know, put in his two cents about the college football playoff. and how the Big Twelve shouldn't be kinda pushed to the back.
Where the SEC and the Big Ten Sit up front. That's fine. That was yesterday. To day you would say that we would get and receive. The main course.
Brett Jormark was the appetizer. The main course would be Deion Sanders. There's been a lot going on with Deion Sanders. He had mentioned having a health issue that he said he would share. In due time.
We know that his son Even though he fell in the draft, he ultimately was selected by the Cleveland Browns, not early like people thought would be. Had to wait all the way till the end of the damn draught. Travis Hunter, who won the Heisman, is gone. He has to think about who's going to be a starting quarterback for the Buffaloes later on this year. Julian Lewis.
Salter. coming over from Liberty. It's a lot of questions. And so the thought would be to day you'd get some answers. From Dion.
Now we know unfortunately he's dealt with clotting issues in his legs. He has had toes amputated, Deion Sanders, there was a point in time where they thought they may have to take off this man's leg, okay? It's Deion Sanders. You you look at athletes and they they seem superhuman. You look at how fast they can move, how hard they can hit, how coordinated they are.
And you go, man, these guys are superhumans. They're freaks. But you don't think about You know, what genetically also runs in their family. You don't think about how they may or may not have treated their bodies while they played or after. And so, yeah, Deion Sanders is a human being just like everybody else.
These are health issues that he has shared in the past. But whatever the heck is going on now. We don't know. Listen to what Dion had to say when he was asked specifically about his latest health issue. What's going on, Dion?
David Ubman with the Athletic. Coach, what have been the challenges of your health issues, and what did an average day look like for you? Athletic, sometimes y'all be on that bull junk, so I'm really not going to tell you much. All right. You know that.
But I'm not here to talk about my health, I'm here to talk about my team.
Okay. Do you know what an average day looks like for you on the ranch? Average day, I'm looking good. I'm living lovely. God has truly blessed me.
Not a care in the world. Not a want or desire in the world. Thank you, sir. Oh, uh That's good, right? Like I guess that's good.
That that that would be perfectly fine now, wouldn't it? But why would he say a couple weeks ago that there is something going on?
Now he doesn't have a care. I hope. The latter It's true. I hope that there is Nothing going on, that he doesn't have a care in the world, and that whatever. what he was dealing with has now been fixed, solved, What changed?
I hope. I hope. Listen, when it comes to matters of people's health, how they're feeling. Yeah, only he knows and that's that's his business. What he wants to share publicly is his business.
Damn it, I remember sitting here on the airwaves.
Well, the closest thing he is to baseball, he played Jackie Robinson, okay. Shadwick Bozeman. This man had cancer. Young man had cancer, and he died, he passed away. In the world that we live in, where everybody's connected to TMZ and Twitter and X.
You didn't know until after the fact. It wasn't public knowledge. You know, I think people are entitled to that type of dignity. and privacy. And yet Deion Sanders has been a public figure now for the better part of going on forty years.
But he's entitled to privacy just like everybody else.
So, whenever he tells or doesn't tell anything regarding his health, he said eventually he will. God bless them out of the way. That's His business.
Now, when it comes to the Colorado Buffaloes. Dion had no issue with addressing that. We know the two biggest names on the team. They gone. I told you about Shador Sanders.
He's going to. Fight to be a starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns? I told you About Travis Hunter. Travis Hunter last year, this man went out there and won a Heisman. He's playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Hopefully he can help them. And hopefully, that organization, I don't give a damn who the coach is. Hopefully that organization does not damage. Him. Good luck to Travis Hunter.
And somebody tells Shador Sanders to slow down in that damn car two times, pulled over for speeding. Deion Sanders has two quarterback options. Julian Lewis. Seventeen He don't salt her. Who's 22, coming over from Liberty?
Now let me tell you something. I ain't sittin' around watchin'. Liberty football. God bless him for being a conference USA MVP. Good for him.
And Julian Lewis? He's from right here in Georgia. He's from right next door in Carrollton. He's right west of the city. He graduated high school early, So he can make his way.
the Colorado. We don't know who he is. We don't know what he's going to look like. Obviously, Coming over as a freshman. He doesn't turn 18 until September.
Good luck. God bless him too. But I don't think he's going to get the start. It's probably going to go to Salter right out of the gate. This guy has.
Experience. Deion Sanders with his son gone. The only guy he's ever coached in peewee football and high school football at Jackson State at Colorado, he ain't coaching them anymore. Not for now, at least. What does he think about his currents?
Quarterback room. Your quarterback room also looks great. You have two really talented players. We brought both of them because I don't know which one's going to start. My question to you is: Would you be comfortable with a situation where both guys play?
Um, yeah. As long as we they're doing their jobs and we winning, we definitely want to continue to Develop Juju, but Caden is unbelievable. Caden's off the chain. He's been there, done that. He can get the job done.
I wouldn't have brought him here if I didn't trust him. But but Juju is coming on round the mountain when he comes. And I love him. I love what he brings to the table. I don't know how it's gonna play out, as long as it plays out.
We can't lose either way. with either of those two. I don't I don't know about that, okay? You don't lose. Shadora Sanders.
And Colorado basically did nothing last year but throw The football. Their running game was one of the worst in college football last year. They do not. Go out there. and run the football.
Now they might have to. They're going to have no choice. He says they can't lose.
Well, I think there's a lot of people, including in Vegas. They all think That Colorado is going to win less. Than seven games. They want to win less than six games. Last year.
This team went nine and four. Did not make the playoff. They were a long shot. There were some times where it was like, oh my God, could they make it? Could they make it?
And it's like, I don't think so. And they didn't. They ended up in the Alamo Bowl. Against BYU. And let's be real, who cared about that game?
Uh nobody. Nobody did. Unless you wanted to see Dion lose. Good. You don't lose.
The quarterback The top wide receiver. The top defensive back. on a team. and just get better. And bring in two quarterbacks who are just foreign into everything.
It does not. Work that. Way. And so damn it, forget about the quarterback room. Who the hell is going to be receiving the ball?
What is that offense going to look like? There's no Travis Hunter anymore. What about the receivers, Dion? They are unbelievable. They are awesome.
I can't wait to unleash them. They're great now, you gotta understand they're replacing some dogs that all of them will be in a professional, all four of them will be in a professional camp from a year ago. But these young men are unbelievable. I can't wait till the world get a glimpse of these receivers. We have some youngsters from freshmen on up that can flat out go get it.
And I'm proud. I'm proud of our recruits, our coaches. I'm proud of what we've brought into Boulder, Colorado. Wow.
Now we just have to figure out who's throwing him the ball. This doesn't sound like a winner to me. He says, either way, it doesn't matter what quarterback we are rolling with, we are. Winning Okay. All right then.
Well then, okay. That sounds like a formula to losing to me. I don't know which quarterback we're going to have, but whichever one it is, we're going to win. Yeah, we got a lot of wide receivers. Freshmen down to the the elder statesmen on the team, they're good.
I don't know who's going to throw them the ball, but we're going to be good. It doesn't.
Sound good. At all. Deion Sanders was asked about Colorado's expectations for this season. Did he have an answer for that, or did he kind of. I don't know, side step and high step that one.
We want to win. We want to win at all costs. We want to be in that championship game not here at the start, but over in that other big house that Jerry's built. We that's what we want to do. And that's what we're gearing up for.
That's all we're playing for. We play to win, we don't just play to compete. Great question. Mm. I think everybody plays to win.
I think most people play to win. They may not be good at winning. They might be good at losing, but I think everybody goes out there. and tries to win. I think just common sense would tell me.
And I don't know if it's because of how he interviewed or You know, knucklehead decisions. I don't know why Shador fell in the draft. I think we know why. People were afraid of his dad. People also took a look at maybe his behavior, and they're just like, ah, yeah, no thanks.
Don't need the trouble. But when you have a quarterback. who was one of the top QBs in college football last year. When you have the guy Who was one of your teams? He was the best damn player on the team on offense and defense, Travis Hunter, who ended up winning the Heisman.
When both of those guys are gone, And you don't know what's next? I'm not going to say this is the New York Knicks. It's a totally different situation. Just things are not gonna Work out well. I am wishing the buffaloes the best They are certainly a team to watch.
Between Colorado and North Carolina, these two teams have the. Yeah. In college football, Deion Sanders and And Bill Belichick? There's gonna be reason to pay attention. Plenty.
Reason to pay attention. I'll tell you this though. Being good, being winners. Hi. I I would not.
Expect that. And good luck to Dion. I want to see what happens. His first year at Colorado, They started off a little hot. People were excited.
Oh my goodness. Look at this. Look what Deion's doing. The Rock showed up. Lil Wayne showed up.
Everybody showed up. Everybody wanted to be part of Colorado. And then they fell apart. Last year. They went out there, God bless em they won nine games.
2025 They will probably fall somewhere. In the middle. That means about. About six. About six.
And good luck to Dion with his health. I hope he really is. All good. Hope he's prime time. Let's hope I hope his health is in prime condition.
There you go. There's your pun. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you, coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. How do you think the Colorado Buffaloes are going to do? You can call me 888-710-4ISN.
That's 888-710-4ISN. I told you we have so much to get into. A top six list, taking a look at some of the best rookie seasons ever. We're going to talk about, how about DeAndre Atton, now a member of the Lakers? We got Cooper Flag and Bronnie James facing off tomorrow.
Oh, my goodness. It's like magic and bird. People can't wait. We got Eli Manning. He said he is too poor.
for a certain something And then we had uh uh two young people In action earlier today, one person came back from injury, and the other guy, well, An injured guy beat him. I'm going to tell you about Caitlin Clark. And Ben Shelton. Congratulations, it's Wednesday. You're locked into the JR Sport Reef Show on the Infinity Sports Network.
You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It is. The JR Sport Re Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. I need you to think. Or Riley Auto Parts.

That's 888. seven ten. For ISN.
So open up the show. And we talked about Deion Sanders. Deion Sanders speaking at Big Twelve Media Day today. Had nothing to say about his health. It's like, listen, I'm not here to talk about my health.
Here to talk about these young men. Here to talk about this football program. And damn it, we're going to go out there and try to win. That's what we got out of Dion. He said some other things about the playoffs.
He's he agreed with Brett Yormark that they need to keep a five plus eleven model. He thinks that they need a salary cap. But we'll talk more about more Dion stuff later on in the show. Let's talk about something else that took place earlier today. Young people doing young things.
I don't know. Not playing video games, but playing sports, okay? Caitlin Clark. was back on a basketball court. earlier today.
She sucked. Ben Shelton, we talked about this yesterday. Shout outs to Gil Gross. He came through to talk to us about Wimbledon. Ben Shelton, One of the two remaining men left representing the United States of America today.
I'm not going to say he sucked, but he lost.
Okay? He lost. He lost to Yannick Center. The man running around with a busted up elbow beat him in three Straight. The sets.
Ouch.
Well, he's twenty two years old, so I mean, what what what do we expect from him? But even at the same time, Yannick Sinner is 23.
So Shelton has a. He has a ways to go before he enters into that space with Sinner and Alcaraz, and God knows, we'll probably watch these two guys play tennis at the top of the mountain. For the next 15 or so years, whatever.
So Yannick Center advances to take on Jokic. I don't know who I want to win, and neither one of these guys. I don't like either one. center was pop for them steroids. They were rubbing that stuff on his body.
He said it was an open lesion on his body. Accidentally on the hands of his masseuse. Bach, you ever heard that before? Nope. I guess it's a thing, but I've never heard of that.
You have never tested positive for drugs because you had an open lesion on your body and the masseuse accidentally rubbed his drugs into your wound. That never happened to you? Nope. I actually haven't been drug tested before, besides for like a physical.
Okay, good. But the ultimate point was still no. The answer is no, right, Botcher? The answer is no. There you go.
Thank you. We got one American left. His name is Fritz. He's going to take on Alcaraz, and we will see what happens. When it comes to Ben Shelton, Who ended up losing?
He says, Yeah, I got a I got a ways to go before I I'm in there with Sinner and Alcaraz or Diddy. Listen to this. Yeah, it's frustrating. Um There's a lot of things, you know, it's too very. different players and challenges and Um was center who I've played the most Um His ball speed is really high.
Never seen anything like it. You don't see anything like it when you're going through the draw. When you play him, it's almost like things are in 2x speed, and I'm usually pretty good at adjusting to that speed, but. Um Yeah, it's it's difficult when a guy's hidden the wall that big, that consistent layoff of both wings and serving the way he is so He's never seen ball speed that high. That's why he lost.
Yeah, Sinner is a dangerous man, even if he's out there playing.
Well, his name is Sinner. And he's out there playing with a busted up elbow.
So like really, what the heck do you want?
Well, I expected a a little bit more. Ben Shelton continued on the twenty two year old American who needs to work on his ball speed. He says I'm still learning. For me, I'm still learning on the grass what works, what's most effective. Yeah, I didn't.
you know, have a Great. day to day of doing things that Uh we're gonna make him uncomfortable. Yeah, well let's see if he has a better lead up. To the US Open in Queens. Let's see.
Come on, can we get an American to get off the grass? Come on, okay? Get off that grass. See what an American can do. Good luck to Ben Shelton.
He is only still 22 years old. I'm still waiting. I'm going to be waiting a long time. I feel like I've been waiting a long time. Andy Roddick was.
It seemed like a one-hit wonder here and there. I need American dominance. From the men's side on tennis. Thank you, God. Thank you for Serena.
Thank you to Venus. And thank you to Coco Emerging. Thank you so much. But we need a guy. We need a man.
Maybe it'll be Fritz. I doubt it. A meanwhile back. Here in America, not in the UK, not in London. We had an American woman.
One of the most famous athletes in the country was back in action today. Caitlin Clark returned. coming off of her groin injury. She missed five games with this growing issue. It was only a couple of weeks ago that she missed five games with a quad issue.
I don't know. Groin related to Quad? They say all these things with Caitlin Clark are not related. But she returned to day and took on golden state, In the Indiana fever, they got waxed. 80 to 61.
Caitlin Clark who I would consider Bacha, correct me if I'm wrong, is she not the most famous active female athlete in America right now? She is.
Okay. She had ten points. A four of twelve shooting. Five rebounds. six assists, one steal and four turnovers.
In twenty-five minutes. What what do you want from her? Lady's coming back from a groin issue. A couple of months ago she's dealing with that quad issue. I know they got the All-Star game coming up.
I hope she doesn't do anything.
Next is going to be her other quad, her calf, her back. It's just. You hope not. You hope not. Supposed to really suck.
Hey, Caitlin, why did it suck today? Why did you suck? Why did the team suck? Y'all not used to each other yet, right? It's been a while.
Felt good to be out there. I thought we started really well. I thought we were competitive. I thought we played with energy in the first five minutes. And then, you know, when they kind of went on their first run.
It kind of deflated us a little bit, which I'm not really sure why, but Um the offense, I think, you know, for us, like, it's their defense and we You know, struggled, you know, scouting report-wise. We struggled personnel, we struggled. to do what the coaches asked of us and then, you know, overall, like, They just played with more energy and effort and You know, those are the things that just can't happen. Damn, she sounds tired. And she only played 25 minutes.
You got obviously you're trying to work her back into the rotation, but It's like and she is the point guard. She did turn the ball over four times to day. She was four of twelve from shooting. She sounds like she been screaming at everybody. And they play these early games, God bless them.
It's like baseball. The NBA well, the NBA is a winner's sport. And they do this, I guess, during the holidays, like Christmas, starting games at 12 o'clock, 12:30, whatever the time it is. They run these games early in the summer so the camps can go see 'em. which I think is a a cool idea.
I love it like baseball does.
Well, anyway, Were you tired of yelling? Are your legs tired? You need to get your wind? What's wrong with you, Caitlin? Yeah, I mean, it's gonna take me a second to get my win back.
Like I said, there's not really anything that can replicate it than a true game, and you know, I I felt pretty good. I was trying to play shorter stints, but sometimes it's almost harder to sit on the bench and then come back into the game, so I was just kind of finding a balance of that. Um just trying to get my legs under me there in the fourth quarter and and and get my wind back a little bit, which will come over the next few games. Oof. Yeah, I understand.
I understand. You gotta catch a wind. That's how I feel when I'm back in New York and I have to walk up them dirty subway steps. I get my win. I have to be conditioned for this.
All the running in the world doesn't prepare me for. 20 flights of steps and stepping over people. It doesn't.
Botcher, if you had to run the Subway Step Olympics, you went in gold? No. Definitely not. There's people that sprint upstairs all the time and I'm like, why are you running so fast? And they're always carrying like thirty bags.
So I I'm impressed by those people. Damn. You get you get bronze? I say bronze.
Okay. I mean competitors though. I don't know, three of you? Come on. It goes silver then.
If it's three of us, I go silver. You got to step over the guy that's smoking a pipe. You got to dodge the rat. There's a slice of pizza on the top step. You got five bags on one arm.
Yeah, Subway Olympics. Amazing. Yeah, I think can't stand the subway anymore. That's kinda awful. Ack, if you were in the Subway Olympics And you were in the final three rounds or final three.
You went in the gold, the silver, the bronze here. I'm going gold, baby. You're going gold. You you are pro at navigating uh all the the treacherous things in the subway. Oh, yeah.
You that's you got you know, you're in New York, you gotta have your head on a swivel.
Okay. You got a gold medalist right here, okay. Me, I'm tapping out, I quit. It's just me. Anyway.
The JR Sport Brief Show here with you, coast to coast, on the Infinity Sports Network. I will take this opportunity. to like Caitlin Clark, to to catch and regain my wind. When we come back on the other side, Caitlin Clark just came back from an injury. We have an NFL quarterback.
past couple of years it feels like all he does is get hurt. And then his team, his team gets hurt. And he gets paid a lot of money. His name, Is Dak Prescott. Is he healthy?
Is he not healthy? We're going to hear what he had to say on the other side of the break about his health at his football camp. And then there's another quarterback who used to play in the NFC East. I don't think his wallet is hurting. But I think he might have found one thing that he cannot afford.
I'm referring to Eli Manning. Yeah, we're gonna talk some football. on the other side of the brake. The JR Sport Reef Show on the Infinity Sports Network. And right now, it's time for a news flash.
You just heard them. Gold medalist Rich Ackerman. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. Uh oh.
Well, you're a smart Cowboys fan now, aren't you? We got a lot of Cowboys fans who Well, I think they've smartened up over the years. We got a lot of Cowboy fans who realize that, uh It's a sham. Yeah, that holds this is our year for the Dallas Cowboys. It's a It's a sham.
You've been flum flam. You have been lied to. Dallas Cowboys are the same damn thing every year. Doesn't matter if they're twelve and five. Doesn't matter if they are seven and ten.
Doesn't matter if they go to the playoffs and get eliminated in the wild card round, the divisional round. They're the same damn thing, they're not Super Bowl contenders. And I see the memes, the memes about Dallas Cowboy fans, I don't know, are they hilarious? They seem hilarious. Throwback Dallas Cowboys jersey.
Gene shorts. Jordan's Is there a hat with that botch, or is there something else with the Cowboys' uniform? It's the matching jersey and hat, I'm pretty sure. There's a hat. I know the jersey, but there's a hat involved too.
I think so. I think it's the same style where it's just the star in the middle. Right. And it matches the throwback jersey. With the jeans.
Gotta have the the denim jean shorts. They can't be black. They got to be jean shorts. That has to be light blue jean shorts. Light blue jean shorts, and I don't know Jordan numbers, but uh.
Whatever. Do you know what Jordan's those are? You have any idea? Uh. No idea.
Yeah, I don't know. I know what they look like, but I don't know the name. Need to. I'm going to take a wild guess. Without me knowing, I don't I've never bought a pair or wore a pair of Jordans in my life.
Uh Thirteens. Let's see, Jordan 13s. I think those are what those are. Let's see. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay. I feel good about myself now.
Okay, it was all the navy blue. Uh Jordan 13s. Yeah, those Dallas Cowboy fans still think that they're going to win. every single season. And we know more recently the problem with the Dallas Cowboys.
Well, Dak is either Not healthy enough to play. Or Dak goes to the playoffs and loses. And it's not just all his fault. He does have a playoff record of 2-5. You would hope that he would uh, you know, maybe go further than the divisional round.
More than that, can you get us to a championship game? Possibly, maybe, maybe never. But Dak Who missed Last season. After week nine, Because he tore his hamstring off the bone. We just talked about Caitlin Clark.
I hope she never has to experience this. She's missed five games for her groin. She missed another five games with a quad injury. Dak tore his hammy off the bone. It was only a couple of seasons ago.
That Dak Broke his ankle, and we saw his bone sticking out his leg. It was not. Fun at all. And so Dak has been dealing with some injuries. I mean, even before last season, Dak Prescott was on vacation.
And of course, he was caught on camera walking with a boot, and everybody's like, wait a minute, bruh. Your leg is still in a boot. Like, what happened? This is a couple years ago. He's like, I'm always going to have to do this due to maintenance.
He can't move around the same way that he used to. But Dak at his own Training camp for kids. He has a camp good for him. He says He is ready for training camp in a few weeks. Listen to Dak.
I'm healthy. I'm healthy. I'll be full gopher camp. I'm healthy. Yeah, look, I think soon here I'll probably get an official sign-off from Doc, but I'm healthy.
Oh, that's good. He's healthy. All right, good. This is good. We'll see him at training camp.
We don't know if we're gonna see the best player. on the team at training camp. We don't know if one of the best edge rushers in the NFL is going to be at camp. We don't know if Michael Parsons will be at camp. We don't know if he's going to get a new contract.
I think more people will be paying attention to that. We have to see.
Somebody that is going to show up because he's looking for a new contract. It's George Pickens. There's a reason why he's on the Dallas Cowboys, is that ultimately he wanted a new contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. And the Steelers got about three or four years with every one of their crazy wide receivers before they go next. Pickens had his time.
Now he's in Dallas. And Dak Prescott is not worried about building a rapport. with his new wide receiver. No, not not long, not long. As I said, having dealt with trades before, whether they've been Amari Cooper, Brandon Cooks, I mean, look turn on that guy's tape.
He's getting separation, he's got separation. Even when he's not getting the ball at times, and hell, when he doesn't have separation, he's still making the catches that it's not going to be hard. For me, it's about getting that ball near that guy and letting him go beat George Pickens. Go turn on the tape. He's great at doing that.
Yeah, he'll be fine. In his first year. You'll be fine. He's looking for that new deal. The guy opposite C De Lamb is making more than thirty a year.
It was like 35 mill a year. This man is is fine. George Pickens is trying to get close to that. He ain't getting no 30, 35. I highly doubt that.
But he's going to be on his best behavior. And so, how is Dak Prescott going to deal with? Two wide receivers. Both the land, And pickings, that that's a good combination, isn't it? Like peanut butter and jelly.
They're going to push each other, and to be the guy that gets to get them the ball. It's exciting as hell, because you can turn on the OTA tapes and one of the guys, the ball's in the air, and the other one's got his hands up celebrating already. Uh that we just got to continue to grow that and continue to Yeah, make sure that that's trending the right way. Uh Oh, that's fun. They like each other.
That's fun. Football players who like each other are rarity. And quarterbacks like their offensive linemen, as they should. Do quarterbacks like their wide receivers? Maybe one of them.
The other guys hate them because they don't get the ball as much.
So. Yeah, it's nice that wide receivers like each other for now. Until one guy doesn't get the ball. Not this year, but next year, Pickens. He'll be the one out there complaining.
Either way, let's put the Dallas Cowboys' new head coach in Schottenheimer. Dakin' now pickin's in the buildin'. The same old Cowboys. If Dak Prescott can actually stay healthy, the Dallas Cowboys will win approximately 10 games. They'll get in as a wild card.
They'll be right behind Washington unless we have a rookie decline, a big one for Jaden Daniels. And then they also got a deal with Philadelphia. They're filling, they're like third whistle or third banana, whatever the hell you call it. Good good luck to the Dallas Cowboys. It's going to be the same old, same old, especially for everybody who believes they have a chance.
wearing jean shorts Jordan's. A cowboy's hat, In a jersey. Oversized. Jean shorts, too, by the way, oversized. Anyway, speaking of the NFC East, you might have noticed I didn't mention one team in particular.
That's the New York Giants. There's no reason. There's no reason they're going to be a crap show, okay? For lack of a better term. Got Russell Wilson out there.
You got Jameis Winston. Who's excited about that? Nobody. Botch, you like the Giants? I am a Jets fan, so I don't mind the Giants, but I'm not excited for.
I'm not excited for good football. I'm more excited for Drama and just stupid headlines. With the Giants. With the Giants. It's it's bound to happen.
Can't wait for Jameis to say something interesting. But the last guy that took this team to a Super Bowl. Actually one. one them, one both of them, is is Eli Manning. He's now long retired.
Eli is out here selling himself on television and In commercials, he's broadcasting on ESPN, hanging out with his brother, he's doing pranks online. Elon Manning was actually looking into buying a portion Of the New York Giants. The NFL changed some rules around last year, where now You can sell up to 10% of your franchise. Up to 10% of your team. To a venture capital group, you know, outside of an individual or family.
And so we've had teams that have taken advantage of this. The Philadelphia Eagles, your reigning champs. have just gone about doing so. And now they have a valuation of about $8 billion as a result.
Now, Elon Manning is, you know, he's trying to figure out: you know, does he got the bread? with a bunch of other people with a whole hell of a lot more money. To get a piece of the Giants. Can Eli get a piece of the Giants? He was on CNBC, and apparently Eli Manning is too poor.
The Giants ones, basically it's too expensive for me. I mean, these numbers are getting very big. Even a 1% stake? Yeah, a 1% stake is something valued at $10 billion. You know, it turns into a very big number.
So, you know, I love the Giants and I think it is deserving of that valuation. And there'll be people that want to go for it. And I was kind of along the ride, but it really is a matter of just some complications with the fact that I'm doing broadcasting. I wouldn't be able to talk to the players. I coach in the Pro Bowl.
I do a high school football camp where college guys come. There was going to be a lot of conflicts and it was going to affect my day job.
So I kind of had to pull out of the Giants deal, but still, obviously I'm here and have access and still very involved in the Giants organization. He didn't find that rich friend like A-Rod did with the wolves. That's it. Because Eli is correct. A 10% stake You start thinking Of what he'd have to put up.
This man have to find. More than he'd have to put in one per 100 million. I'm doing some math in my head real fast. Listen to this. Eli Manning, his career earnings.
About two hundred and fifty million dollars. And then you can throw as much money in endorsements as you want. Go ahead and throw in another fifty. Go ahead and make the IRS, go ahead and make the tax man pay attention. Then Eli has he's made half of that in his life, his career.
He'd have to have somebody. with tons and tons and tons and tons of money. You'd have to find a billionaire multi times over. who would say, Yeah, Eli, you put in a little bit. And I'll put in a lot, but then you're going to have a small stake.
And then you think about all the conflicts of interest, maybe it wasn't worth it. For everybody. Yeah, Elon Manning, yeah, you got a lot of money. Not Michael Bloomberg, okay? He's not messy.
Damn it. He's not Ronaldo. Oh my botcher. Have you seen what type of money Ronaldo is making to play in Saudi Arabia? Isn't it over 100 million per year, right?
Yeah. And and and more. More than that. You know what? We're going to take a break.
When we come back. I'm going to tell you how much Ronaldo is making. Just by playing soccer in Saudi Arabia. Al-Nasser. Then he's getting a whole hell of a lot more than money.
And then we got Chet Holgram. Chet Holgram got paid too. Congratulations to him. Maybe one day he can buy a part of the New York Giants. Yet his entire five-year contract is just as much as Elon made his entire career.
It is money everywhere, don't rob a bank. It's the JR Sport Reshow, the Infinity Sports Network.
