The NFL's voluntary OTAs have begun, but several high-profile players, including Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, and Trey Hendrickson, are not participating. Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder are on the brink of winning their series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, with the Thunder's Shay Gilgus-Alexander putting on a dominant performance.

I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Much love and many thanks to everybody tuned in and locked in all over North America. I hope you had a tremendous weekend. I hope you had a chance to sit back, watch some sports.

Actually think about people who have passed to represent the country. I hope you've had a great Tuesday. I hope you're amazing. I'm in Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you to our producer in New York City, Chris Persianin. I'll be hanging out with you for the next four hours.

This is when the show gets started every weekday, 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific. And what a weekend we have had. More basketball and hockey and OTAs and football. People are showing up to work and some people are not showing up to work like James Cook. And we got other guys who have been hurt already, like Joey Bosa. What a shock. The newest Buffalo Bill.

Can't show up healthy to work. Kirk Cousins is still here in Atlanta as a Falcon. Aaron Rodgers not yet on the team, but it looks like he might have an idea where he wants to go. Gave a little bit of a hit. And we're going to talk about the Knicks and the Pacers. The Knicks are trying to avoid a 3-1 deficit later tonight in front of John Halliburton, the dad of Tyrese.

Yes, he is back. OK, how about this? I don't know what the heck is going on in college football. The SEC is coming. It's going. They want to create a new playoff system and get more selections with the Big Ten.

It's just there's a lot going on. So Scott Doctorman is going to join us. Covers all things college football for the athletic. He will be here next hour. Jalen Ramsey, we don't know where he will be.

Apparently, he is still going to be traded from the Dolphins, even though that didn't happen yet. So we have a whole lot to get into. And how can I? There was a basketball game last night, too. I mean, let's get the Western Conference Finals over with. OK, anyway, you want to be a part of the show? You can do that. 888-710-4ISN is the number. That's 888-710-4ISN. You can identify me. You can find me. I am online at J.R. Sportbrief.

That's at J.R. Sportbrief. All over the Internet on a Tuesday. That feels like a Monday. I can't believe we're pulling up on Wednesday.

So that's when you get a little bit of a holiday weekend. We got a lot to get into. Chris, our producer, helping hold things down today and tomorrow. How are you, man? You doing good? I'm doing good. Always a pleasure to be working with you. This is the smoothest show on national sports radio.

And, you know, I always tell you a little report from the scene, right? Well, tense today in New York City with people unsure if their beloved Knicks season is about to end or maybe just get started. Well, maybe Karl-Anthony Towns will come up big.

Maybe somebody else will come up big. Let's see what the New York Knicks do tonight in Indianapolis as they try to avoid a 3-1 deficit. And we know a 3-1 deficit is basically the death knell for a series. So the New York Knicks this season will be on the brink.

Will would be on the brink if they go ahead and lose tonight. So that game gets going in about two hours from now. We'll definitely keep you up to date when that one gets into action. And I'm just waiting to see how often the TNT camera folks and the producers are going to flip the camera over. That's a John Halliburton who has been reinstated. He's allowed to to attend the game.

He's going to be up in a suite. And so after the game, if the Pacers want to lose, John Halliburton won't be able to get into the face of, I don't know, the Jalen Brunson. But we'll get into the Knicks and the Pacers in a couple of hours. Let's let's wrap up. Well, excuse me, let's wrap up the game that took place last night because that game is, well, that series, I should say, is basically a wrap. I'm talking about the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves. I thought the Thunder would go ahead and win this series, probably four games to two.

I thought the New York Knicks and the Pacers, I thought that they would go to seven games. But last night put a fork in them. They're done. The Minnesota Timberwolves are cooked as far as I'm concerned. It's not been a damn thing that I've seen throughout the course of the series that evokes confidence that that makes me go, oh, my goodness.

Minnesota is going to bounce back. We all know what Anthony Edwards is capable of. This man could go out there and get buckets like anybody else, but not last night. He only finished with 16 points, five of 13 from the field. Forget about Anthony Edwards. Julius Randle, even worse.

Five points. He only got up seven shots. Rudy Gobert always found him to be a liability. I mean, he didn't do anything. Last night he did have 13 points, nine rebounds.

But this was this was moot. Dante DiVincenzo, Nikhil Alexander Walker, they had to pick up some of the slack and they almost still came back and won. But it wasn't good enough because when the going gets tough, you need your stars to go out there and deliver. And just by looking at Anthony Edwards numbers, five of 13 from the field, one of seven from downtown, 16.6 assists. Anthony Edwards was asked about his performance last night, especially now that the Wolves are down 3-1. And Anthony Edwards was he didn't think he had a bad shooting game. He just felt that he was going with the flow of the game.

Listen to this. So much of you guys play up front at this point with big nights from you and Randle. How did it kind of hit you for the fact that you guys both struggled at the same time tonight? I don't look at it like I struggled or he struggled.

They just. They had a good game plan making us get off the ball, especially for me, man. It was super in the gaps. I made the right play all night. So I don't really look at it like I struggled. I didn't get enough shots to say I struggled.

So that's my that might be how you guys look at it. But yeah, I didn't struggle at all. I just I made the right play. I made I didn't struggle at all.

I just made the right play. You know, they were they were preventing you from getting into driving lanes, forcing you to pass the basketball. I mean, for you, that may not be struggling. But when you're going one of seven from downtown, when you're one of the best scorers in the entire NBA and you're trying to make your way to an NBA championship, something that escaped you last year in the Western Conference Finals when this team, these wolves went up against Luca at the time in the Dallas Mavericks. Yeah, bro, that's that's struggling like your job is to get over the hump and figure things out. And so look at Julius Randle and go, oh, yeah, the guy had five points in a game. He didn't struggle. It was just the defense. Well, it's your job to go out there and adjust.

You can make the right basketball player. We saw the numbers. I told you about what Divacenzo and Alexander Walker did at twenty one, twenty three points apiece. But when you're in a close game and it's time to get the job done, everybody's looking at you.

Anthony Edwards to get the team over the hump struggle. I'm surprised that he said that struggle. Is that what he's saying publicly? But he wouldn't dare say that, you know, inside the locker room struggle. That was a that I have words for that performance last night and to come out and say that I didn't struggle. I made the right plays, man. They want you to make the right plays, but they want you to win the game. That's why you're the star.

That's why there's these conversations about the face of the league and all this other stuff. That's your job. Struggle. Yeah, you struggle.

It's kind of pathetic. Turn the ball over. Couldn't make a shot.

This was just ugly. Let's listen to the head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves, because Coach Finch, Chris Finch, he was asked about Julius Randle's five points, the fact that the bench came through with more than 40 plus points. And then they still lost.

Never great night, obviously. Bench was really, really good. So I rolled with them. You know, those they were finding shots for each other.

They shot the ball extremely well from the three point line, which, you know, we did a good job of finding those things. And, you know, that that's the guys that we we chose to go with there. You had to try to stay alive because those guys.

Guess what, Anthony Edwards? Y'all, you and Randall, y'all went out there. And struggled. You did.

And you struggled at the worst possible time. This series is, this curtains is done. Like I got no interest in it anymore. Somebody asked me about the game last night. And right before the game, God started and said, you know what, depending on what happens in this one, I'm out. OK, I'm done. Of course, I'm going to watch every game.

But I'm just I'm not interested. I'm praying that the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers continue to punch each other in the mouth. Because if we don't get another game and the Knicks go down three one, we can just.

Well, we can call this one a wrap. Just like last night and the way things are rolling right now. I didn't even talk to you about Shay Gilgens, Alexander, 40 points, nine rebounds, 10 assists. This is a guy who just won the MVP and nobody had an answer for him. He didn't struggle. I mean, Minnesota wasn't trying to stop him. He still got his shots off and did what he needed to do. I mean, if Anthony Edwards wants to take his game to the next level, he's going to have to be consistent in the postseason. He's going to have to put the team on his back. And it's one thing to say, hey, yeah, we eliminated or, you know, old LeBron or we winning beat old Steph Curry with a bum leg.

That's one thing to say that. You've got to beat Luca. You've got to beat these guys that are in your age range. And a guy still 23 years old.

So there's a lot to do. But I think one of the things he's eventually going to have to do is his own up. I mean, Shay Gilgens, Alexander, every game, he just does the same thing. And we know the game plan is to stop is him. And he still gets what he wants. That's why this man is an MVP. Maybe Anthony Edwards needs to get shot down a peg again to take his game to the next level.

Shay Gilgens, Alexander, going on to the road, 40 points, nine rebounds, 10 assists, almost a 40 point triple double. You shut everybody in Minneapolis up and he says, you know what? Yeah. Being on the road and getting my points, I do what I do. It's super fun. It's it's more fun than like. I don't know about more fun, but it's like it's it's pretty up there with like being at home.

It's the whole buildings against you chanting, whatever they're chanting, screaming, whatever they're screaming. And it's your job to go out there and play basketball and kind of shut them up. So, yeah, it's definitely fun. It definitely adds more to the game.

Yeah, I enjoy it for sure. OK. Yeah. Every doesn't like being a bad guy, right?

Like when I leave the office, when I leave here, the studio, you know, every now and then I find old lady and I push. OK, I'm the bad guy. Everybody likes being a bad guy every now and then. And so to step into an arena and have 20000 people hating your guts and to shut them up and send them home miserable.

Yeah, I guess as a professional athlete that that works out just fine. But it appears that if you're the Oklahoma City Thunder, you're running out of those. You're running out. I mean, the season for Oklahoma City is running out. They've got to clear this team out one more time if the Timberwolves came back and won another one to stay alive and pick up two victories.

I don't think anybody would be shocked or surprised now that they have their backs against the wall. We know the closeout game is the most difficult game to go out there and get. So I wouldn't be shocked if Minnesota got another one. But Oklahoma City is on its way to a championship. And Shay Gilgus Alexander, he can talk about love, love and being a villain and going on the road and shutting people up. He's going to have that opportunity either in Indianapolis. Or New York City, if he goes to New York City, I don't even know if people would look at him as a villain.

People can't stand Halliburton or Trey Young enough. But Shay Gilgus Alexander, this man won the NBA regular season MVP award. Looks like he is on his way to winning an NBA finals MVP. I do not care who comes out of this series between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers. If the Oklahoma City Thunder, this 68 win team, does not hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy.

In the end, middle of June, whenever the heck they finish up these NBA finals, that'll be a massive, massive disappointment. Head coach Mark Dagnalt running this Oklahoma City squad. He talked about what he's learned about his team through this victory.

I learned nothing. They're easy to bet on. This team is easy to bet on. We had a very normal couple days leading into it. Very normal shoot around today. There's just kind of a sense, an internal sense, that we were going to come out and it would be a much different game. Just tonally. And it was. Didn't learn anything about the resilience or the perseverance. But we're still growing. These are all new experiences for us. It's the first time we've been up 2-0 this late in the season. First time we've been up 2-1 this late in the season.

And now it's the first time we've been up 3-1. And we have to handle that correctly. But from a resilience standpoint, this is the last group of guys you need to worry about.

Well, damn. That's some heady words from your head coach. I think they're going to go home tomorrow back in Oklahoma City. I don't know if those fans will be out there wearing them blue shirts or the orange shirts or the white shirts. Or maybe they put on rainbow shirts.

I don't know. But Oklahoma City, just go ahead and finish them off tomorrow. Anthony Edwards, he's not going to have no problems tomorrow getting that shot off. Unless there's still an issue with his ankle. We're going to find out something terrible is going on with his ankle. And maybe he doesn't want to cop to it. Who knows?

That's the cost of being a professional athlete. The Oklahoma City Thunder, they had a great end to the holiday weekend. Let's see if the New York Knicks can extend and add a little bit of life and tie up this series tonight against the Indiana Pacers. Because this is the series that's still worth watching.

OKC and Minnesota, oh yeah. This series is done. It's over.

It's the JR Sportbree Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network right here, right now. We're just getting started. I told you, we got a lot to get into. We got OTAs in the NFL. We got 20 teams that have showed up to work.

And we have some guys who did not. We have some players, guys like Joey Bosa, who are already hurt. It's May, man. And I know you'd rather be hurt in May than in October, November, December.

But damn, bruh. He's showing up to the new team and you're continuing with the same issues you have always had in the past. So we're going to talk some football. I told you Aaron Rodgers had some words to say over the weekend as well.

You know, he likes to pop up and hear himself talk, but it looks like he might have given us a little hint as to where and when he might play. Also, next hour, all this college football playoff news and proposals. We're going to have a chat with Scott Doctorman.

I want to ask him exactly what's going on with the SEC, the Big Ten and then everybody else. Oh, how about this news over the weekend to Caitlin Clark? Is she gone?

We don't know how long she has a quadriceps injury. And so we know a lot of places going to be losing a lot of money with no Caitlin Clark. We're going to talk NFL and NBA. There's a lot to get into. Matter of fact, when we come back on the other side of the break, let's talk about some of the people that did or did not show up to work.

OTAs and the NFL are underway. If you want to give me a holler, you can do that too. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN.

If you want to give me a call, if you want to give me a holler to give you an update. Yeah, let's let's get Aaron Rodgers the heck up on out the way. Let's talk about the Steelers as one of the Steelers quarterbacks today.

He has some words about his future. Yeah, it's not it's not Aaron Rodgers. I'll tell you who it is on the other side. It's the J.R. sport ratio. Good to be back on the Infinity Sports Network. It is the J.R. sport ratio here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. 888-710-4ISN.

That's 888-710-4ISN. If you're back to work today, hopefully you've had a good transition back to the norm. Hopefully your coworkers didn't get on your nerves. Hopefully you can enjoy a shortened week. Either way, hopefully you get into some money. Hopefully. 888-710-4ISN.

That's 888-710-4ISN. It may not just be you who went back to work today. We got 20 teams in the NFL that have opened up voluntary OTAs. Yeah, keyword voluntary.

And we hear this all the time. This is like, you know, do you want to voluntarily help your dad clean out the gutters? Probably not.

No. You know, there's other things that you may voluntarily not want to do. But you got to do certain things, OK? Do you want to go to, you know, church every Sunday or you want to watch the game?

I don't know. But there's things that are called voluntary that either way you got to show up and do. And the NFL has made it very clear over the years that even though we have voluntary OTAs, the coaches, they want you there. They want you at work. They want to know whether or not you're really going to be dedicated to the team.

They're going to check a box, even though the CBA collectively bargained between the Players Association and the league. Basically says, hey, you don't have to show up, but if you don't, everybody looks at you. Well, they don't look at you.

They talk about you. This guy didn't show up for work. This guy didn't do that. And so here in Atlanta, Georgia, and I want you to hear this very clearly. One guy who did not show up to work today is a guy who doesn't want to be here in Atlanta. His name is Kirk Cousins.

I mean, what a shot. This man tried to play Mr. Nice guy to get his way outside of Atlanta. At the end of the season, basically cop to being hurt and injured, trying to hurt the Falcons some more. The Falcons did not appreciate that. They're like, hey, what you're costing us money. You potentially getting us in trouble because now you're saying you were hurt and we didn't have you on the injury report.

And now you're making us look stupid. I guess this is Kirk Cousins get back. When the Falcons decided to draft Michael Penix Jr. at number eight last year and didn't tell him. Well, Kirk Cousins just needs to be happy in the fact that he's getting paid.

OK. It's honest man to a one hundred and eighty million dollar deal. He is owed a forty five million dollars this year.

Rain, sleet, hail or snow. Kirk Cousins knows how to get paid and he will. Just a matter of who will pay him.

And how much. Falcons don't want him. They want to trade the guy.

They want somebody to eat up half of his damn salary. And so right now, Kirk Cousins is in quarterback purgatory. Was he at work today?

Raheem Morris, the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. I want you to hear this. He had a very simple answer.

Did you see Kirk Cousins at work today? Well, there you have it. Right. It's like going to school as a kid. I mean, the roll call. I don't even do roll call. I don't know how people check attendance now. I mean, listen, man, they did.

But I also can't lie. The last time I was in high school, we were checking in on Zoom because the world was a little bit shut down. Oh, you were in high school in Covid? Yeah, that was the part of the class that didn't get senior prom or graduation or anything. Well, you're not missing much.

I had the option a long time ago. I didn't go to none of that stuff. So you ain't missing nothing. At what point?

Forget Zoom. You were in school before that. How did they do attendance? The teacher didn't check off a book? No, it was all online, man. They'd have to click like present, late, not present. I racked up a lot of the middle option. Oh, wow.

OK, how about that? Well, I know who wasn't at work today. Certainly wasn't at school. I don't know what the hell he was doing. Maybe he was sitting around with his kids. It was was Kirk Cousins. He was not at work. And there's some rumors going around.

It justifiably saw. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure all of this out. Aaron Rodgers is still just kind of relaxing. And I assume it's because he does not want to show up to work. He's not even signed to a team yet.

Over the weekend, he was sitting down doing a live broadcast of the You Never Know podcast. So they were doing this in Chicago. And a Bears fan who happened to be a little girl asked Aaron Rodgers if he would ever consider playing for the Bears. And let's just say Aaron Rodgers had a well, he had a little teaser about where or when he might be playing in Chicago. But it wouldn't be for the Bears.

Listen to this. Will Aaron Rodgers ever go to the Bears? Oh boy. Security, can we get her out of here? Can you take security?

Security, can you take it easy on her? No, but I believe there's a team that might play in Chicago this year. What team? On a road trip. I don't know. I'm not sure. Gotta check it out.

Are you speaking in code? I love Chicago, though. Way more than they love me.

It's been a great relationship. All one way. Yeah, typical and right. Yeah, well, come on. We've seen the discount double check and all his performances against the Chicago Bears. The Pittsburgh Steelers play against Chicago in Chicago, November twenty third. So Aaron Rodgers is just he's just dragging this one out. He's like, if I don't have to show up to work and do the extra work, then I'm not going to do it.

It's as simple as that. And so meanwhile, we get any getting word that if the Steelers don't get Aaron Rodgers that their next step is just going to be to go out and just trade for Kirk Cousins. Even though we know Kirk Cousins is going to cost about half his salary or at least the Steelers want or excuse me, the Falcons want whoever takes Kirk Cousins to pay half of his salary. Meanwhile, at OTAs, the Steelers quarterbacks, the guys who did show up to work are guys that the Steeler fans don't want to look at. Come September. Will Howard, developmental quarterback.

Come on now. Skyler Thompson. And nobody wants to see him out on the field unless it's some type of gadget play. And then the return of Mason Rudolph. You might recall Mason Rudolph spent last season with the Tennessee Titans. He started five games for the Titans because Will Levis, well, he doesn't know how to throw the ball to the correct team. And so Mason Rudolph in his five starts, he did a Will Levis impersonation or maybe Will Levis was trying to play like him. Nine touchdowns and nine interceptions for Mason Rudolph.

Everybody knows. He's not starting this year unless there's a catastrophe. Aaron Rodgers has an accident unloading his luggage and never signs his contract. Kirk Cousins pops his Achilles, God forbid, on the way to the airplane.

That's the only way. That we will see Mason Rudolph on the field. But today he was at work and Mason Rudolph.

Well, he was asked about all the noise and the rumors. Aaron Rodgers is going to come take your job. Kirk Cousins will be traded for you.

Going to be back on the bench. And Mason Rudolph, who had to play behind Ben Roethlisberger years ago. Mason Rudolph says, man, being a scrub is nothing new to me. Listen to this. Well, that's that's nothing new to me. I've I've there's been constant noise that that is the nature of the NFL. So I have been used to that for a long time now.

Do nothing but, you know, be the best I can be and help our team help our team get better this spring. Bogan like a true backup quarterback, except for he's the backup quarterback. Most people want to see the backup every now and then, you know, maybe taking me at the end of the game.

That means you're beating the other team up. And people typically love the long time backup quarterback in Pittsburgh. Nobody wants to see him on the football field.

Nobody wants to see him at all. And Aaron Rodgers, I'm sure he'll do a few more interviews before he shows up to work. Let's just say in July, Aaron Rodgers is going to shotgun this relationship. He's going to shotgun the marriage. He's going to sign before July. He's going to say we'll learn everything through training camp and. He's just going to go on vacation like I'm old. What am I sitting around doing OTAs for?

Keep that for the young guys. It's the JR Sport Breeze Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. 8 8 8 7 10 for ISN.

That's 8 8 8 7 10 for ISN. You know, I told you we had 20 teams that started and opened up OTAs, voluntary air quotes, voluntary OTAs today. Aaron Rodgers, not on the team. I told you about that. We got a whole bunch of other players, some who also did not show up to work. And then we had a Bosa who got hurt as well. What a shock. What a surprise.

I'll fill you in on some other folks who didn't show up for their job today voluntarily. We'll talk some Knicks and Pacers. I told you we got Scott Doctorman joining us next hour to talk some college football. What's going on with this playoff situation with the SEC and Big Ten?

So we got a lot to do. It's the JR Sport Breeze Show on the Infinity Sports Network. And right now it is time for a news flash. It is the JR Sport Breeze Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. Hey, when we get to the top of the hour, we'll talk about the New York Knicks and the Pacers.

They're about an hour and change away from getting underway. So we'll talk about that at the top. Right before we went to break, we did talk about some people that didn't come back to work. And no, not your coworker. Not that person that was going a little too hard over the weekend. Not that coworker who always is on vacation. Not the coworker who has the out of office replies.

Not that person. But we talked about some folks who didn't show up at voluntary NFL OTAs. No Aaron Rodgers, as he has yet to sign with the Steelers. We heard from Mason Rudolph. He's like, man, I'm used to noise and rumors about what may happen. Kirk Cousins, not here at work in Atlanta, Georgia, because, well, he doesn't want to be a Falcon and the Falcons don't want him. It's just a matter of when they dump him. It's not some of the only people that didn't show up. You just heard some of the names in the news break, the news flash a few minutes ago from Chris LaPresti.

How about this? Let's let's leave Pittsburgh for a minute. By the way, T.J. Watt didn't show up. T.J. Watt looking for a new contract from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He wasn't at work today. And if you're T.J. Watt, yeah, you got a little bit of leverage in that regard. Of course, we know Trey Hendrickson of Cincinnati Bengals. He says, listen, I'm not forget OTAs. I am not playing this year on my current contract.

You need to up that into 30, 35 plus a million dollars. But let's go to Buffalo because we got a few pieces of news from Buffalo. We have known that James Cook, the running back who had 1000 yards on the ground, but totaled 18 touchdowns last year, 18 total touchdowns.

James Cook wasn't at work. Why? Just like everybody else. He wants to get paid. And of course, because everybody needs to communicate their wants and their desires and everything that they need in life on social media. James Cook was on a live stream that he was doing on Instagram. He decided to tag or pin a post up a comment that just said 15 million dollars.

I know exactly what that means. A man wants to get paid 15 million dollars as a running back. I got some news for you on the Buffalo Bills. I don't think they're going to just pay you 15 million dollars this year just because you want it.

They may just let you walk on out the door because we know the entire offense revolves around Josh Allen. You think about some of the top running back earners in the NFL on an annual basis. Saquon Barkley is leading the way with his new extension. He's making 20 mil. Christian McCaffrey, who can never stay healthy himself.

Maybe this is a cautionary tale. He's making 19 mil. We got Fred Taylor, who's making Fred. Oh, my God.

How far back am I going? We got Jonathan Taylor making 14 mil. We got Alvin Kamara making 12. And so James Cook, after his 18 touchdown season, might as well ask, right?

Might as well ask and try to get a hold of that money. He wants to get 15. I don't know if it's coming. So he did not show up to work. And so Sean McDermott, the head coach of the Buffalo Bills, he gave an update earlier today. He said, James ain't here. And then, well, we'll talk about Bosa.

Listen to this. All but James are here and accounted for. Joey Bosa will not participate today. He pulled a calf.

I believe it was late last week, Thursday, I believe. And so he'll be out for more than likely the foreseeable springtime, at least. And then we'll get into training camp. She'll be good to go by training camp. Joey Bosa is out because his body sets. OK, I don't know if his mind agrees.

I don't know if it was a concerted or group effort, but Joey Bosa being hurt is is normal. And typically he saves it for the regular season. Unfortunately, this man is a foot. I don't know if there's no such thing as a groin doctor.

Oh, boy. But he is a doctor's dream. OK, a foot doctor's dream and a massage. No, no, it's a bad idea. Joey Bosa can't stay healthy.

How about that? The man is always having foot issues and groin issues and can't start for a full season. Five time Pro Bowler when he's healthy. And I don't know how much better things are going to get for Joey Bosa.

The man is twenty nine years old. He just had to sign a one year, twelve million dollar contract because he can't stay healthy. I mean, if you think about last year, nine games started in five sacks.

You think about going back in time, the amount of games that he's played, 14 games, nine games, five games. So must I remind you, these NFL teams now play a 17 game season and Joey Bosa is a ghost for majority of them. And so Joey Bosa already showing up for his new team and then promptly going down with a calf injury. I'm not going to compare him or put him in the same place of a Russell Wilson. Let me remind you, last year, Russell Wilson had a calf strain pushing a sled and it enabled Justin Fields to get his hand on the starting job. I don't think Joey Bosa has anything to worry about. But between now and mid end of July, just chill out on the calf raises or the squats, the deadlifts dude is built like a truck. Maybe he should integrate some yoga into his life. Eight, eight, eight, seven, ten for ISN.

That's eight, eight, eight, seven, ten for ISN. So James Cook wants to get paid. Please tell me if you've heard that before when it comes down to the the running backs. Kyle Pitts here in Atlanta.

It's not just Kirk Cousins. Kyle Pitts was not available at voluntary workouts. I told you about T.J. Watt. Hey, I mentioned Trey Hendrickson. But what about the rookie that they? Well, maybe replacing him or certainly replacing Sam Hubbard.

Shamar Stewart has yet to sign his rookie contract, which means he has yet to show up for rookie minicamp or OTAs. This man is certainly behind the the eight ball. Now, this one, I just don't know. This man might be in Japan. He might be in New York. He might be in Philadelphia.

I have no idea what this guy's doing because I ain't searching up and down his Instagram. Hassan Redick. Who signed a one year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the same Hassan Redick who wanted a brand new contract last year.

The New York Jets ended up bringing this guy on, knowing that he wanted a new deal traded for the man, knowing that he wanted a new contract, never signed and skipped all of the entire offseason program and just showed up and had a crap season. This man is M.I.A. again, at least this time.

I don't think it's a contract related. Well, hey, Chris, what do you think? He's he's he's in Japan reading anime books again or something? I don't know. Yeah. I mean, listen, you never know. He spent a little bit of time around Aaron Rodgers.

Maybe maybe he's in Egypt like Rodgers was last summer. It's possible on a little bit of a of a world tour. It's always I mean, it's always been intra. And I guess it's like anything else at your job. They say, hey, it's voluntary.

But if everybody shows up, but we want you to be there, then is it really voluntary? Here's a here's a terrible example. Like Earth Day, right? When was Earth Day? Last month? Yeah, about a month ago.

Last last. It doesn't Earth Day always fall on the same day as 420? Is that by coincidence? You know, Earth Day this year was on the 20.

Oh, no, sorry. The next Earth Day will be on the 22nd. It was 420 this year. Oh, so Earth Day is not always 420.

No, it's not a Christmas type deal where they have a whole day reserved. It's one of the oh, it's the first this day of the month or whatever. Well, it's it's encouraging to know that you're familiar with Earth Day because most people are not. I just know I'm like, hey, it comes in April and it reminds people to recycle for one day.

And I guess the other days we could treat the earth like crap. Yeah. I mean, I'm sure you've already become familiar with my quirks and eccentricities throughout working with me just a couple of times.

But I'm a huge aquarium and zoo guy. Oh, how about that? Great. Terrific.

Well, that's why you know about Earth Day. Atlanta. Great aquarium. Oh, you've been? I've been.

Yeah, we got that. I don't know. Is it a whale shark?

Is that what it is? It's right next to the Coca-Cola. They've got like dolphins in there. They've got beluga whales, dolphins. They know dolphins in there.

Yeah, there's dolphins in Atlanta Aquarium. I think they had like a like two babies the time I was there. I don't know how long ago. Were you a baby? Was the last time? No, it was like two summers ago. Yeah, I don't know.

I was there last year. I ain't seen no dolphins, man. Anyway, I'll go back and I'll go back and look to see if the dolphins are there. I don't know. But we have leave the dolphins in Florida and Miami and Orlando at SeaWorld.

I don't know about any of that. But yeah, we got we got Earth Day. But I know one thing that happens every Earth Day. Companies want you to volunteer. They want you to pick up trash.

They want you to do great things for the earth. Just on that day. Forget the other days, but just show up on that day. And they don't say it's mandatory. They just say they want everybody in attendance.

And so the NFL, it ain't no different than a lot of jobs. They tell you that you don't have to show up. But, you know, if you don't show up, you get I don't want to say punished, but they look at you funny. Man, I've seen holiday parties. Hey, we want everybody to show up to the holiday party. Why? It's a party.

What if I don't party? It's just like camaraderie. OK, working maturing is realizing that they have those so that they can give you a couple free drinks and get you to spell secrets before the new fiscal year. I just want to you saying they want to fire everybody.

They're they're they're they're looking for tea, as the kids say now, J.R. So to fire people. Yeah. OK, great.

All right. Good to know. I mean, I've seen people fired earlier than the holiday party, but hey, what do you know? Shout out to the NFL players that will not get fired.

What we have to see is in a couple of months when things become mandatory, who won't show up, who will be fined? You know, I guess the biggest story is what happens with Trey Hendrickson. He's looking for a new deal. This man is only one of five people in NFL history to have more than 17 and a half sacks in consecutive years. And he's looking for a new deal to be paid commensurate to what some of the other top pass rushers in the league are making. And that's, you know, 35 ish for a guy like Max Crosby. That's like 40 ish for a guy like Miles Garrett.

And Trey Hendrickson has made it very clear. It's like, I'm not trying to break the bank. I don't need to be 40 million. I don't even mean put a number out. He didn't say I needed to be 35.

I think he just might be happy. Hey, give me 35 too. I don't need to be Miles Garrett. Just give me give me my 35 or, you know, 34.

I have no idea. The Cincinnati Bengals are going to make him sweat. Let me tell you, the last thing that Joe Burrow wants to do is to show up to work in July training camp and have to answer even more questions about Trey Hendrickson, who already said he is not showing up for work, period, unless he gets a new deal. This man's out here. He's taking a hard stance.

He's about his bread. It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. We're going to get into some more football coming up in this hour.
