It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you to everybody tuned in, locked in all over North America. Happy Tuesday to you. I hope you're well. I hope you're safe wherever you may be, whatever you might be up to.

I appreciate you for being here. This is where I'll be for the next four hours. The show gets started every weekday. It's 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific.

I'm in Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you to our producer holding it down in New York City, Chris Persianna. And thank you again for you or to you for being here. What a day. It was about an hour ago that we found out that Jason Tatum, I mean, if you watched it live, you knew what took place. This man is officially out with a ruptured Achilles. Season done, playoffs done next season, probably done. Celtics changes.

We'll get into that in a bit. Speaking of unfortunately, Jason Tatum being out. Pete Rose could be in the Hall of Fame. He's not technically in the Hall of Fame. He's not eligible yet for the Hall of Fame, but he is on his way. I will explain. Trey Hendrickson, he released a note to ESPN yesterday.

Smart man. Today, he was in front of the media in Bengals minicamp. He said, no, I'm not playing unless I get a new contract.

I'm not mad at the guy. We got more basketball tonight. In an hour from now, we got the Pacers in Cleveland. Pacers trying to eliminate the Cavaliers. Donovan Mitchell running around on that bum leg. We got Denver and OKC.

That series is tied at two. All Bill Belichick spoke today at the ACC spring meetings. Minnesota Vikings might as well move to Europe. And then we have some guests who are going to join us.

Oh, yeah, that's right. People are still saying the Dallas Mavericks getting the number one overall pick was a conspiracy. We're going to have a chat with someone who covers the Dallas Mavericks. Kevin Gray Jr. is going to join us from DLLS Dallas Mavericks.

He knows all things maths. And then next hour to talk more about what the hell is going on with Pete Rose. We'll have a chat with MLB baseball writer for the athletic Levi Weaver. Levi will be here with us next hour. If you want to be here now, if you want to call up, if you want to participate, you can do that. Here's the number. You ready? Listen very carefully. 888 710 for ISN.

That's 888 710 for ISN. Find me online. I exist everywhere at JR Sport Brief. A lot to get into, a lot to discuss. We got more basketball tonight. We got this news about Pete Rose. There's just a lot going on. We got this news with Tatum, which, you know, kind of puts, I don't want to say a damper on what the New York Knicks did last night, but it's certainly, you know, you want to play the best.

You want to beat the best. The New York Knicks came back, had a crazy second half of the game and it looked like they were at least going to get into a shootout between Brunson and Tatum to go ahead and end things. And unfortunately, Jason Tatum is now out for the season before we move on to do anything else. Chris Persian and how are you this evening, man? You good?

I'm good, man. Thanks for checking in. As always, there's buzz in the air here in New York City, JR. I'm sure.

I'm sure. New York Knicks walking away with a victory, a lot of optimism. We'll get to the New York Knicks, even the New York Knicks showing a lot of love and sympathy. It's a what took place last night with Jason Tatum. The Knicks were starting to run away with the game. OG, Anna Nobi stole the ball and Tatum lunges for it. The next thing you know, Tatum is down on the court in a heap, reaching at his ankle reaching at his leg. And from the replay and his reaction, you watch enough basketball, you watch enough sports. You just knew it was it was nothing, nothing good, especially that that push off that lunge and then that straight collapse and then fully into pain.

And then this was inevitable. An hour ago, just about an hour ago, the news came down the pipe of actually what the hell is going on with Jason Tatum and his injury. And let's just say he has already had surgery. Listen to this courtesy of CBS Sports HQ.

Breaking news and expected news out of the NBA. Jason Tatum did tear his Achilles. He underwent surgery earlier today. No timetable for his return, obviously not at any point in this postseason and probably not even early next season. Suffered that injury in the fourth quarter of Monday's Game 4 loss to the Knicks. Celtics down three games to one.

Yeah, it wasn't it wasn't looking good. They put this man in a wheelchair, couldn't put weight on that leg. And he has already had the surgery. And if you think about what is typically a year to come back, a year to get your body together, it's highly unlikely that we see Jason Tatum next year.

What is he going to do? I mean, if the Boston Celtics make the playoffs, he's going to come back and and pop up at the end. We don't even know what this team is going to look like next season is now all of a sudden just a lot of uncertainties when it comes down to the Boston Celtics from ownership to this injury to the salary cap. And there's a lot which you got to give credit to the New York Knicks.

Yeah, they beat the Celtics last night, 121 to 113. But even after the game, there was just a lot. There was tons of attention paid to Jason Tatum from not just the Celtics thinking about their own player, but the New York Knicks.

They certainly showed a lot of love. I want you to take a listen to Jalen Brunson, who went out there and lit it up. Thirty nine points, 12 assists helped the Knicks lead and another comeback this time, not by 20, but 14. Knicks now lead the series three to one. Jalen Brunson, 39 and 12.

After the game, he told the reporter he's like, OK, yeah, I get it, basketball, but let's show some love to Tatum first. Listen to this. Jalen, just another. Sorry.

Sorry. I just want prayers out to JT, man. That's I just want to make that and say that first and foremost, thoughts and prayers with him.

Praying for the best. Yeah, it's in the locker room, out the locker room. It was it was tough to go out there and see him go down that way. Derek White last night, he was lighting it up from three. He had 23 points and even he after the words, he's just like, man, it's tough in this locker room.

So you had to see him go down and like we just know the type of guy he is and it's tough to see him go down. But obviously right now it's pretty low because of the game. And we just got to find a way to win game five.

Yeah, it's tough. Now look, I wouldn't be shocked if the Boston Celtics won the next game. The next game is tomorrow's backup in Boston. Maybe maybe they're going to feel juice. Maybe Brown will have an amazing game. Maybe White will continue to shoot the hell out of the ball. Maybe Al Hallford has a throwback.

I have no idea. This is a deep Boston Celtics team. But all things considered, knowing that they have both Tatum and they have Brown. I would always favor Tatum as being the better player.

We know who won the finals MVP last year that was Brown. Tatum is the better player. Tatum is the better offensive player.

Tatum is the more explosive player. You think about Tatum at this point in time, 27 years old. He's an NBA champion. He's a six time All-Star. I remember his very first playoff series. He was taking on the Cavaliers in one round and he was out there giving LeBron James the business putting isolation moves on him. I'm like this guy.

He has something in front of him. NBA All-Star game MVPs. Yeah. What the hell does that matter too much? All first team NBA multiple times. You look at the scoring lists for players who scored a hell of a lot of points. And before they ever turned 30, Jason Tatum is right there with some of the greatest players of all time. Now, I know certainly over the years they've expanded the playoffs. You ask me, it's too many games, especially in the first round. Tatum is amazing. And him going down doesn't just alter this season for the Boston Celtics. There's going to be some big changes. Are the Celtics championship contenders next year?

You want to know the answer to that? No, not without Jason Tatum. They can go to the postseason. Championship consensus?

Hell nah, not as it stands today. Chris Stepps Porzingis has been hurt and or sick. What you doing with that guy? You think about the salary. You think about how much money they're doling out to their talent.

You got Tatum and Brown. These guys are soon to be making $300 plus million each over the life of their individual contracts. You think about what Grossbeck is selling the team.

You think about whoever's coming in next. Are you going to want to pay all of these salaries out to White and Tatum and Brown and what happens with Al Horford? It's not like that guy is getting any younger. They're going to have to move pieces around because it doesn't make money to spend almost $400 plus million in salary for a team that is not competing for a championship.

And so I tweeted, I shared this last night. It's kind of crazy to think that the New York Knicks are going back to the Eastern Conference Finals, something that they haven't done in about 24 years here against the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers then went and got smoked by the Los Angeles Lakers. That would have been the Knicks instead. But the fact remains this is uncharted territory for the New York Knicks. This is uncharted territory for their fans.

This is something new for them to enjoy. It's just unfortunate that it had to come with Jason Tatum going down. And that's unfortunately the name of the game when it comes down to basketball, the postseason. Damian Lillard goes down and you could just say, hey, the Bucks are done. Steph Curry goes down. I mean, they lost last night, too. The Warriors, they're basically done. Anthony Edwards was like, how many threes do you want?

He knocked down six of them on his way to 30 points, stopping some key runs by the Golden State Warriors. So whether it's Steph Curry, Jason Tatum and Donovan Mitchell is dealing with an ankle issue. If your star goes down, you're cooked.

Every now and then, everybody just needs a little bit of luck. The New York Knicks, God bless them right now, this minute, this second, they're healthy. Remember last year, the year before the New York Knicks, Julius Randle goes down with a shoulder. Brunson is dealing with a hand. Right now, there's nothing wrong with Brunson's hand.

His hand is just simply hot. This guy's pulling up left handed shots and deep threes all over the place. And so there's a little bit of a shift that's going to take place in the Eastern Conference. The Boston Celtics have to get their lives together, knowing that Jason Tatum is going to be gone for probably an entire year. You think about the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers just got their hands on the third overall pick in the draft. You know, what is the Sixers team going to look like if, well, forget Maxie, you would expect him to eventually be okay. What are they going to look like with Joel Embiid having his knee fixed? Is he still going to be eating everything on the table?

Possibly. Paul George isn't getting any younger, but there is some hope with the Sixers, the third overall pick. The New York Knicks, people talk about their depth. What is the rest of their run going to look like through the duration of the postseason? And we got the Milwaukee Bucks. Lillard goes down. Giannis is open to going elsewhere. There could be some major changes in the Eastern Conference, but as it stands right now, it looks like the New York Knicks and the Pacers, mind you, have to go ahead and close out their own series tonight, they hope, against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It looks like the Knicks and Pacers are on a collision course. This is not the 90s. This is 2025. There is no Reggie Miller. There is no John Starks. There's no Patrick Ewan. There's no Antonio Davis. There ain't no Dale Davis. There's no Chris Mull.

There's none of these guys. No Charles Oakley. They don't even let him in Madison Square Garden. But Knicks and Pacers, for people who can remember, this is going to stoke a little bit of a fire. I'm hoping that we see it because you thought Halliburton getting cursed out and booed and some of these other arenas was bad.

You thought it was bad. Oh, no, no. If Halliburton plays in New York, they're going to destroy that guy. Unfortunately, Donovan Mitchell is hurt and Tatum is hurt, making it a little clearer as to what we'll get.

And that's the name of the game. It's the J.R. sport re-show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. All the best to Jason Tatum as he recovers from his ruptured Achilles. We know he ain't the greatest athlete. He's not flying like Anthony Edwards.

He doesn't shoot like Kevin Durant. It's going to be very interesting to see what his recovery looks like. We'll talk more about Jason Tatum later on in the show. We'll get into some of these other matchups as well. I told you, we got Indiana and Cleveland underway in about 45 minutes. Later on tonight, this series is all tied up at two. We have Denver and OKC. Is Jokic going to burst out of his shooting slump?

Is the Oklahoma City defense in height? Is it going to flummox him again tonight or is SGA just going to say no? We're going to go out here and take a 3-2 series lead.

So we have a lot to get into. I told you Levi Weaver is going to join us via the athletic next hour to talk about Pete Rose. Hey, we have Kevin Gray Jr. from DLLS Mavs. He's going to come through and talk about the Dallas Mavericks and what they do with that number one overall pick.

And then how has the outcome changed for the Dallas Mavericks and Nikko Harrison now that they have the number one overall pick? We got a lot to get into. Trey Hendrickson says, I ain't playing without a new deal.

There's a lot to discuss. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief Show here on the Infinity Sports Network. Yeah, Jason Tatum rupturing his achilles. Big breaking news on the other side of the break. I'm going to tell you about some other news that we got this afternoon about Pete Rose. It's the JR Sport Brief Show. Infinity Sports Network.

It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. And we talked about Jason Tatum. He is out. Forget the playoffs. We may not see him next year. He's out with that ruptured achilles tender. We saw him go down last night. Boston Celtics laying on the floor of Madison Square Garden. And it's unfortunate.

The New York Knicks now have a 3-1 series lead. That was some of the big news that we got about an hour, 90 minutes ago. But even before that, I'm not going to say that this was surprising news. But we heard from the commissioner of Major League Baseball. And what's the deal? What's what's new? Pete Rose is in the process of being reinstated.

Are you are you kidding me? Like Pete Rose, the man just passed away at the end of last year. And now we're looking at the fact of Pete Rose may be getting into the the Hall of Fame. I want you to take a listen to this news that came in via ESPN.

Breaking news. Pete Rose is officially off baseball's ineligible list. Seven months after his death, Rose is now eligible to be considered for the Hall of Fame. In a historic decision, Commissioner Rob Manfred lifted the permanent ban on the all time hit king. In 1989, Rose was banned for betting on baseball, the game's cardinal sin. Because of the ban, Rose's name has never appeared on a Hall of Fame ballot. In 2015, Manfred rejected Rose's request for reinstatement and maintained that stance while the Cincinnati Reds legend was alive. The 17 time All-Stars fate with the Hall of Fame is not up to Manfred. In December 2027, Rose will presumably be up for election. But it's not a sure thing that the man nicknamed Charlie Hustle will ever be enshrined in Cooperstown.

Oh, man, let me let me get to this. I think one day Pete Rose is going into the Hall of Fame one day. OK, we know this guy's the hit king more than 4200 hits, more hits than anybody who ever played the game, a three time champ. And we know, as you just heard in 89, he got charged with gambling on games that he managed. And he was basically stricken from the game of baseball.

We know Pete Rose is no longer here with us. And Rob Manfred today, as you just heard, decided to remove him and shoeless Joe Jackson help. Well, he didn't even even gamble.

Well, he did. He threw a he threw an entire World Series up lead that. But the fact is, I look at this as Rob Manfred doing nothing but. Passing the buck. That's it.

It's real simple and it sounds bad, but this is probably the likely reality of it. Pete Rose passed away. I'm not going to be here as commissioner forever. Pete Rose is asking for this before he passed away.

If I just put him or take him off of. The ineligible list. I can have somebody else come through and put him in. You know, I can have the voters committee over at Cooperstown. I can have them figure it out.

Hey, it's your job now. I've now made him eligible and y'all in a few years can go out there and figure it out. So this is this is a big deal, but no big deal, because nothing is happening right out of the gate. With Pete Rose, he's not he's not going into Cooperstown later this year. He's not going next year. That's that's not going to be the case. He may not go in for another decade.

It may be another 15 years. Rob Manfred might have to be pushed around in a wheelchair before Pete Rose is inducted into the Hall of Fame. But I think as you move on from eras and generations and people have less feelings involved, people, people move on. People don't care. And I've been here on the radio for years now and people call up and will argue against Pete Rose needs to be in and this guy needs to be in and the steroids guy need to be. Everybody will say that.

It's tons of callers about it. I think as you move on, the emotions and the feelings, they aren't there the same way, especially as not just Major League Baseball, but sports in its entirety has ultimately embraced gambling. Now I know it's one thing to be, quote unquote, on the inside, doing a Calvin Ridley betting on your own team is another thing to be a Pete Rose betting on your own team.

These are things that you're not supposed to do. You want to uphold the integrity of the game. And you don't want people thinking what people thought last night and a lot still today that things are rigged like the Dallas Mavericks ending up with the number one overall draft pick. And so Pete Rose is no longer here with us. Unfortunately, he spent a lot of his later years just signing baseballs and trading cards and doing interviews in Las Vegas, letting everybody know that he wish is he was in the Hall of Fame and he was he knew it was unlikely to happen, especially while he was alive. But a few things that Pete Rose did say, he made it very clear how he felt.

I mean, at one point in time prior to passing away. And this is courtesy of the Associated Press. I want you to listen to Pete Rose. He said, listen, I got all these accomplishments. One World Series and played with amazing players. He says, I may not get into Cooperstown, but my life has been a Hall of Fame worthy.

Listen to this. There's two things I learned that I could do. I could hit a baseball and I think I can learn or teach a lot of people not to make the same mistakes that I made. All the great players that I played with all Hall of Famers. So my whole life has been a Hall of Fame life just by the association with the teammates I hit. I mean, well, that's that's one way to look at it.

I don't know if I'd look at it that way, but that's one way to look at it. Whatever works for him or whatever worked for him. Unfortunately, he's not he's not here anymore. And this was easily predictable. OK. That all of a sudden Pete Rose would pass away.

And it'd be easier to just go, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's no longer ineligible. He's he's eligible. Let somebody else go ahead and figure it out. The next step is just waiting. Wait a couple of years. Waiter for him to be eligible for induction, waiting for him to be rejected.

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven times. Waiting on one of these committees to open things up for him to get in. Waiting on a committee to say no. Waiting on Rob Manfred to be, well, not capable of speaking. I don't know. He could be old or not here anymore.

I don't know. I'm not wishing it on a guy. But that's just how things go. Everything is forgiven in time. Except for if you're Pete Rose, you don't have any more time. And although Pete Rose's family might be thrilled with this decision, although the Cincinnati Reds, they certainly put out a statement and said that they are thrilled and they're happy and they will go ahead and back whatever decision for Charlie Hustle. Of course, the Cincinnati Reds are going to go ahead and pick things up. What did Pete Rose think about this?

Because he predicted it as well. It wasn't that far fetched to go up the minute I croak, the minute I'm gone. That they all of a sudden go kiss my backside and I won't be here to see it or enjoy it on my family.

We can't celebrate it together. I want you to listen to Pete Rose. He basically said, if I'm inducted into the Hall of Fame after I'm gone, what's the point? I don't see much sense in putting me on the ballot after I die. Because for a player to go into his or her Hall of Fame, it's more or less for your family and it's more or less for your fan base. And I'm big on both of those two things right there. And I know most of the people who rooted for me my whole career would love to see me in the Hall of Fame as a living player, not as someone who's 10 feet under. And I always thought about that. What good would it do my family if they put me in the Hall of Fame after I die?

I can't think of anything good about that. Bob Castellini is the Reds owner. He put out a statement and he said, we are especially happy for the Rose family to receive this news and what this decision could mean for them and all of Pete's fans. OK. He also said, we're thankful for the decision of the commissioner in Major League Baseball regarding the removal of Pete Rose from the permanently ineligible list. Now, don't be fooled. This is a statement that was likely run by Major League Baseball's office so they could all have a just a united front in getting this news out.

And ultimately, it's real simple. Rob Manfred, the league's punishment of banned players must end after the players death. Cooperstown, y'all figure it out. I'm not doing anything. Pete Rose passed away last year at the age of 83. I think he's going to get in.

As simple as that. It's going to take some years. Yeah, I think it'll take some years, but I think he'll get in. What do you think? 888-710-4ISN.

That's 888-710-4ISN. Do you believe we will ever see Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame? I think it'll take maybe a decade-ish or so. I think ultimately he'll get in. Hey, let's ask our producer Chris. Chris, what do you think? You think Major League Baseball will let Pete in the Hall of Fame, Cooperstown?

I do, JR. I think it's much to do about nothing if they go through all of this, getting him off the list, and then they end up not inducting him. I know it's up to the writers, but it does feel a little bit like there is a movement to say, hey, it's time to change our stance on this player.

Yeah. Let's ask Rich Ackerman here before he delivers the news. Hey, Ack, you think based on what we've seen today that they'll let Pete Rose into the Hall ultimately? Not so sure. Well, the writers do an excellent job of safeguarding the Hall. They are not the ones responsible for whether he gets in or not.

It's going to be the Baseball Classic Era Committee, which is committed, which consists of 16 people, and he's got to get 12 votes of that 16-member committee. I'm not so sure. There's a lot there.

Obviously, a lot of people say, well, he should have been pardoned. Gambling is now very prevalent throughout not only the major leagues, but not by the players, of course, or the managers, but by the fans in all sports. But I still think that it's a tough topic.

I mean, the rule is right there where everybody can see it as you walk into the clubhouse. With all of these committees that Major League Baseball has created over the past decade or so to try to legislate whether or not guys like Clemons and Bonds and now hear Pete Rose ultimately get in, you don't think that over time, I don't know how long it'll take, but I don't expect it to be immediate. You think there's no chance as we move, continue to move generations away? I think time heals all wounds. And I think as time goes on, I think I don't want to say the crimes, but whatever he did, I think the impact of those things softens a bit. So, you never say never, but I think the wound is still too fresh at this point. Yeah, I'd agree. I think as we move further and further away from what it is, and gambling is more accepted in a lot of regards, it's tough to look at a guy and say, wait a minute, you played for the team? You managed the team and you were gambling?

Oh, they should keep you out. But I think there's going to be a whole lot more people into the future that are just going to... You know, here's one that I brought up last hour. You have a guy like Hank Aaron who had death threats while trying to break Babe Ruth's record. And he endured all that and overcame all that and others. You know, whatever hardships or adversity they overcame. And whether, obviously Hank Aaron no longer with us, but you're going to look at the family of Hank Aaron and say, now this is okay. That's a tough one.

Yeah, I don't know. So I'm not going to sit around and say I know them personally. I've met his family and I had the honor of meeting Hank not too long before he passed. And one thing that I appreciated about Mr. Aaron was just, he had every opportunity to kind of put in his two cents and beat down on some of these guys who are annihilating the record books. And they were obviously cheating.

You know, a guy like Barry Bonds, he reluctantly showed him love. I don't know if it's so much about the families, or we can look at it as the legacies being tarnished. But when you really boil it down, there's a lot of good guys in these Hall of Fames that were great players and great athletes, not just Major League Baseball. And there's a lot of you know what's in these things as well. And so I think it's more so about, hey, what did you do individually? I think that that stands alone. I think it's like anything else.

A couple bad apples ain't gonna ruin a whole bunch. I think in time we'll see Pete in. We got to find out in SEAC.

Who knows? In due time. It's the JR Sportbree show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. 888-710-4ISN is the number.

That's 888-710-4ISN. Yeah, let's go from one Cincinnati legend to an active Cincinnati player. Or maybe he's done in Cincinnati. We're going to talk about the situation with Trey Hendrickson, because not only did he release a statement yesterday about his standing with the Bengals, he took it a step further today in front of the media.

We'll get into that on the other side of the break. But right now it's time for a newsflash with Rich Ackerman. It is the JR Sportbree show on the Infinity Sports Network. 888-710-4ISN.

That's 888-710-4ISN. A lot of breaking news this afternoon. Pete Rose has passed away, so now he's on the, well, he's off of the ineligible list.

Somebody else can figure out whether he goes into the Hall of Fame, basically. We learned that Jason Tatum, Jason Tatum is, well, he's out. Ruptured Achilles. And then we got some other news today.

We learned about Trey Hendrickson. He released that statement to ESPN yesterday. And now, well, he's kind of doubling down on what he said yesterday. Not even.

He's just adding additional information. Wild stuff. Trey Hendrickson telling ESPN yesterday that there has been absolutely no communication between himself, his representation, and the Cincinnati Bengals since the NFL draft. Like nothing. Before the NFL draft, Trey Hendrickson came out and said that the communication between both he, his representation, and the Bengals was poor. And now he says it just, it stopped. There was no communication.

There was nothing said amongst them at all. And so he shared that yesterday. And it was, it was convenient timing.

It was smart timing on the part of Trey Hendrickson. Because he released a statement knowing full well that he was going to go ahead and address the media today at OTAs. Why not give the media something to ask you about? Why not try to put more pressure on the Cincinnati Bengals?

These people, him, his representatives, they weren't born yesterday. You're going to meet with the media? Let's give them something to talk about. Let's talk about something that's, that's to our benefit.

Absolutely. Trey Hendrickson basically said today, I don't care if I have one year left on my contract. I am not showing up to work. I am not playing on the final year of this deal. He made it known yesterday. The Cincinnati Bengals haven't lived up to their end of the bargain by negotiating in good faith. This man had 17 and a half sacks last year. He had 17 and a half sacks the year before. And according to Trey Hendrickson last year, last off season, they told him, yeah, man, you have another good year. Let's come back and talk.

Well, he had another great year, a candidate for defensive player of the year. And so he spoke to the media today at OTAs and he had a few things to get off of his chest. He says, look, folks, I won't play if I don't get paid.

I need that extension. He did say he hopes it does not come to that. Listen to this. Well, I can raise a hypothetical with a hypothetical. I wouldn't be standing here with you if I got the deal in January. To say I'm going to sit out and say I'm not going to. What I can say is I'm very disappointed in the communication that's been had. What I can say is I'm very disappointed in the communication that's been had. It's very foreshadowed.

There's not something that I'm excited about to tell my wife. And what, hey, this is, I'm getting good vibes. Yeah, he doesn't have a new contract. Why should he be happy?

Why should he have good vibes? 16, 17 million dollars a year. He doesn't have a new contract. His contemporaries in the space are getting paid double that. It's not here anything from the Cincinnati Bengals.

His contemporaries in the space are getting paid double that. As we discussed yesterday. It's not here anything from the Cincinnati Bengals. This is just the Cincinnati Bengals way. As we discussed yesterday. Stupidity.

We talked about plenty of time. This is just the Cincinnati Bengals way. It's what they do in Cincinnati.

Stupidity. And more so being hell. Being cheap is what they do in Cincinnati. Well, let's put it this way.

Cheap as hell. I thought we saw a worse situation with Miles Gary. Well, this man actually wrote out an entire statement. I thought we saw a worse situation with Miles Gary. This man actually wrote out an entire statement. This man actually wrote out an entire statement. Hey, the Browns suck when against the words of the general manager Andrew Baer.

And basically said, hey, the Browns suck. That's what I'm trying to do. I don't think we're on any type of championship trajectory.

That's what I'm trying to do. And he's like, there's no amount of money. Nothing's going to change my mind. And then the Browns said, uh, and he's like, there's no amount of money.

Nothing's going to change my mind. And then the Browns said, uh, yeah, he has 40 plus million shut up. And all of a sudden, Miles Gary changed his mind. And he signed up different chances from by the way, the Cleveland Browns, they stood on what they go out there and know. Who's going to go and throw five different chances from five exactly the situation before they go out there and know who's going to go. He knows Joe Burrows going to throw the football.

It's not exactly the situation. He hasn't demanded a trade. He knows Joe Burrows wants to go play elsewhere. He hasn't demanded a trade.

Stay in Cincinnati. He didn't say he wants to go play elsewhere. Miles Garrett. He really sounds like he realized that just getting a new contract in the case of miles Garrett or made him change his mind. We realized that we saw that just getting a new contract in the case of Trey Hendrickson or made him change money going to fix things. He did say that yes, things aren't good right now, but it's money relations.

You can go ahead and say, listen to this. Yeah, things aren't good right now, but every relationship I think every relationship, I think miles Garrett proved that. I think every relationship is terrible. I think that relationship with providing on football, same as this, this is just tremendous, but I think that relationship will repair. We've unfortunately had to deal with the last couple of years. We've unfortunately had to deal with for the last couple of years. Quite frankly, I think we're all.

No boy. He says, I've been doing this crap for years. The point is I'm not doing this anymore. Why what are we doing? Like what is the point? Money fixes everything in the world.

What are we doing? In most cases, guys don't care. Professional athletes get drafted. And the first thing is in most cases, stick around, don't care, get paid. Professional athletes get drafted.

And the first thing is stick around. When champion get paid. The second thing after you stuck around for a little while, business here today, championships gone tomorrow. The NFL is a 17 and a half sacks football field right now today. If I had 17 sacks, especially knowing that the Cincinnati Bengals got to see Higgins, they just paid for my pay.

Joe Burrow, especially knowing that the Cincinnati Bengals got blossom. They just paid to Higgins. They just paid your mark. They pay better.

What about good luck with that one? And Shamar Stewart is supposed to come through and make things better. Is he done with the Bengals? The Bengals is so cheap. I don't know. What do you think they're doing?

Chris, what do you think? Is he done with the Bengals? The Bengals is so cheap. I don't know.

What do you think that I can remember? I have heard the Bengals described as a mom and pop shop type organization. Is that fair?

I have heard the Bengals described as a mom and pop shop type organization. Is that fair? You take a look at that and you got to think at some point that there is human choice, a stubbornness that is stopping them from paying him. And Hendrickson said it today. He said, I will not apologize for how much NFL teams that we all know and love are paying for how much the NFL teams that we all know and love are paying top flight defensive end.

It seems like that number just isn't palatable after the wide receiver deal. He's in line and he doesn't know what for. He doesn't know if there's anything at the end of the line. He just saw a bunch of people in line and said, oh, I hope right now he's in line and he doesn't know what for. He doesn't know if there's anything at the end of the line.

He just saw a bunch of people in line and said, oh, I hope I'm next. Well, unfortunately, the owner of the Browns is with him. It doesn't matter.

It's got to be about 89 years old. And everything starts and stops with him. It doesn't matter what's going on below him.

Everything runs by his desk. So if it's his thought process that, hey, I'm going to make him wait until training camp and see if he's really enough to it. These are the type of things I don't care about. Let's wait until training camp and see if he's really enough to it.

These are the type of things I don't care about. I don't care about Mike Brown doesn't like giving up the green. And that's unfortunate for Trey Hendrickson. If I were him, I guess he really must love Cincinnati. If I were him and that's unfortunate for Trey Hendrickson.

If I were him and I guess he really must love Cincinnati. If I were him, I would be just kicking and screaming. I'd be yelling at him. I'd be screaming to get the hella point out of there. Because why do this? I'd be yelling at him. I'd be screaming to get the hella point out of there. But this is why I do this. I know you're playing on a great team. You went to a Super Bowl a few years ago, but this is Mike Brown's mode of operation. Well, ultimately he's going to move.

They're either going to get something done on the cheap or ultimately he's going to move. It's the JR Sport we show here with you coast to coast on the Infiniti Sports Network. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN.
