Manny Pacquiao is coming back to fight at 46 years old, while Steph Curry is out with a hamstring injury, and the Golden State Warriors face the Minnesota Timberwolves. Meanwhile, in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers' future is uncertain, Brock Purdy is set to get paid, and Michael Parsons is in a contract dispute with the Dallas Cowboys.

3 Pacific. What a show. Thank you to Christian Winfield, who covers the New York Knicks for the New York Daily News. He came by to have a chat about the Knicks.

We talked about the Oklahoma City Thunder destroying the Denver Nuggets last night, 149 to 106. Tyrese Halliburton not fond for that big Cajones celebration. Nick Saban is getting into politics. He's going to be co-chair of a committee to help fix college sports.

Good luck. Good luck to Nick Saban. Speaking of politics, a former politician named Manny Pacquiao, after four years out of boxing, Manny Pacquiao is coming back at 46, 47 years old. I want to, no, I can't say good for him.

That'd be a lie. I mean, I wish at that age he would just sit down. It's still relatively young.

I mean, politics wasn't enough for Manny Pacquiao. You can't become a trainer? I don't know.

Open up a casino? I guess that's against his religion, I guess. I don't know. I know he's a devout Catholic, I believe.

I don't know. Hey, Batra, what is there for Manny Pacquiao to do? He was a politician.

He was a boxer. Like, what should occupy his time besides getting punched in the head at damn near 50? Uh, hmm. Children?

I think he has kids. Then that. That should be priority one, right? Oh, just like stay at home with the children? Let me stay at home, Dad.

Okay. That gets boring after a while. You can't punch your kids.

Well, no, I hope not. Yeah, you can't punch them. Maybe he can do, like, I don't know, training. Like, train his kids to be fighters. Fighters?

Yeah, why, yeah. He could have a whole gang of fighters. That's the way, like Karate Kid. Oh. Wait, at the end of Karate Kid, he trained, how many kids?

No, no, no, no. I'm just, well, Ralph Macchio now. I don't even remember.

Daniel, I think his name was? He's training like he has his own dojo in the TV show. Uh-huh. Is that, when it comes to fighting, does that, does that travel like some of these other sports? You think about team sports. We got football. We got families of football. We got basketball. You could have a basketball family. Baseball. We talked to Brett Boone quite frequently here on the JR sport brief show. Boone is a Boone baseball family.

His brother Aaron is managing the Yankees. When it comes to fighting, that don't work that way, does it? No.

Usually I think the parents know to not put their kids through the same pain that they were through. Ah, ass whoopings. Yeah, there you go.

So they're like, yeah, don't do this. I can't think straight. I'm in pain. Now, wait, wait, wait. We had Hector, excuse me. Can't even speak.

There we go. We had Hector Camacho and then we had Hector Camacho Jr. Um, yeah, we have some juniors that come through, but, um, yeah, I know Mayweather, his grandson is, but is he ever gonna fight? He's like, I remember watching, he's like two years old throwing hands in the midst, you know? Yeah, there's, there's a few here and there, but that's always with everything. It's not like a common thing. Like baseball is like every couple of, I don't know, years you see a junior. Every generation.

Well, what is it? Jackson Holliday is, well, I think he's trying to play for the Orioles and it look like he arrived yet. Uh, I remember his dad, Matt whooping ass. And his brother, his brother now is going to be probably the number one pick too.

Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. There's another holiday coming? Yeah, and he's probably the number one pick or top three. He's going to be better. Well, his brother has crapped the bed so far. He's going to be better than his brother. He's a higher projected than his brother?

They both, they're probably both going to be number one in the draft. Wow. Now what was Matt, was, was this child abuse?

Do we need to contact child services? Is it too late? I don't know. I think it's just good genetics and just growing up and your dad was winning games. So I guess you just got to see winning culture. It's just too much baseball. We got Vladimir Guerrero and his son.

Makes no sense. We have the entire Boone family and we got Tatis running around. You got, speaking of the Blue Jays with Guerrero, we got Bachete. Is he still up there or did they boot him yet? He's still there. He's doing okay this year.

Not great, not bad. Yeah, weren't they trying to get him the hell up on out of there? Weren't there rumors they were hating his guts? He might be traded this year because it's a contract you're from. Yeah, he is not his dad.

Let's put it that way. Dante Bachete. I mean the Ripkens are another big baseball family. I'm trying to think about guys who are active right now.

There's a lot of them. Who's the best? Who's the best kid playing? It's probably Vlad. Tatis. Guerrero. Tatis. Up there.

One of those two. Guerrero, Tatis. Holiday exists.

Bachete, eh. All-star here and there. Al Leiter's kid is out here pitching, right? Is it his nephew or his kid? He has two. His nephew's on the Yankees. Right. And his son's on the Rangers. Oh my God.

This is crazy. Do we know? I know Shohei Ohtani. He just had a kid, right? Yep.

Does he have a little boy or a girl? Good question. I don't think they, did they expose that?

I don't know. I mean, one day Shohei Ohtani just magically had a basketball player and a wife and it's just like, okay Shohei. I mean, so, they could have given birth to an alien for all we know. Shohei Ohtani is so private. He didn't want to tell the world the name of his dog. I think the dog's name is Decoy, right? Yep, it's Decoy. And then they promoted that, got bobbleheads and whatnot. Oh, the Dodgers are selling decoy bobbleheads?

They did like a giveaway, I think, last year given it was like Ohtani with decoy. Yeah, more, probably more popular than some of the Dodgers. I bet you one of Freddie Freeman's kids will probably play Major League Baseball if he wants. Yeah, it's baseball. It's something about baseball.

Easier for the kids to go out there. It'll be easy. Maybe Manny Pacquiao needs to put his kids in Little League or something.

I have no idea. Find something better to do than getting punched in the head, Manny Pacquiao. Anyway, he's expected to fight in July in Las Vegas. And one thing I do know, half the Philippines is going to show up to Las Vegas just to see what Manny Pacquiao does.

That's July. How about this? In another 23, 25 minutes, we're going to see another basketball game. And this one? Well, not as cut and dry as some of the other matchups.

This is a weird one. We're going to have the Golden State Warriors taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves. Again, the Warriors were able to win Game 1 when Steph Curry had the exit with a strained hamstring.

And let's understand this. Steph Curry is going to be out a week at minimum. How the hell you work that out in a seven game series where you only have seven games left? We may not see Steph Curry the rest of the series. We got a game tonight. We got to wait. It just makes I don't think we'll see this dude again.

OK, that's it. I mean, if we think about the entire week, Game 5 would be next Wednesday. If they have a Game 6, it would be the Sunday following Mother's Day. Yeah, Mother's Day is on Sunday, if you forgot. And then Game 7 would be on Tuesday, the 20th.

Steph Curry spoke to the media today. And he says, timetable on my return? No.

This is new. And from all that I've or all that I'm learning about how quickly you can get back, there has to be a healing process that you is just the way the body works. You can't accelerate it more than what it's telling you. So it'll be one of those.

After a week, like really reevaluating every day to kind of understand when it's safe. Just even think about playing, let alone like how much can you push it? He's got 37 years old, pulled his hamstring for the first time. You think they're just going to throw it back out there? I hope the Golden State Warriors win again tonight.

I hope they do, because I want to see an interesting series. I want to see Steph Curry come back. How many more damn years do you think we got of Steph Curry?

I'm disappointed that this might be the last or the final hurrah. Draymond Green isn't getting any younger. Jimmy Butler, as much as he complained, there's a reason why he complained out of Miami to get that money. He knows he's not getting any younger and they're going to rely on on Jimmy Butler not to just go out there and get all the points.

It's going to have to be a group effort. Come on. Draymond Green had 18 points in the last game. That's a lot for Draymond. Jimmy Butler had 20.

Buddy Hill joking about being the Batman of the team. He had 24. And then Karl Anthony Towns, he had, what, 23 points last game? He had one point. Count him one point in the first half. Are we expecting that to happen again in Minnesota? Ultimately, I believe Minnesota is going to win this series. And that's only because Steph Curry is out.

I hope that is not the case. Dante DiVincenzo of the Minnesota Timberwolves. He talked about the Timberwolves all season.

People counting us out. We know how to bounce back. Everybody understands that you can take criticism and everybody has an open mind. But it's across the board. There's no, you know, there's one guy you can't say anything to or anything.

Anything's on the table in there. And we all like each other on and off the court. We understand what the goal here is.

So as long as we understand the goal and we trust the coach's game plan, you ride with the results. Oh, that's sweet. They believe in each other.

That's good. I wonder if Steph Curry believes in his team on the sidelines. He better believe in Buddy Hill. This man had 33 points in Game 7 against Houston, helping to eliminate him. I just told you about Buddy Hill's 24 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

I mean, if Buddy Hill is going to be hot, if he's going to eat up some of them points, hell, yeah, the Golden State Warriors. They stand a chance. Steph Curry was asked about his confidence in the team to hold things down while he is out. We have a lot of confidence that we can, you know, still win the series and, you know, guys step up no matter how it looks. And it's obviously a situation where you want to think positively and optimistically that, you know, we can win games and buy me some time to give back and stretch, hopefully have another series after this, and, you know, be able to be in a position where I can get back out there safely where I'm not, you know, putting too much risk on, you know, the body if it's not ready. So I think they understand the task. We all are in it together. And I love the feedback I got from my guys of understanding what the challenge is.

Yeah, buy me some time to get back. Yeah, because everybody knows the team revolves around him. They're not stupid. And Chris Finch, the coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves, he ain't stupid either. I mean, he can look at his own team and look at their depth and look at their bench. He has the sixth man of the year from last year on the team in Nas Reed.

Like, he got some weapons. But it's easy to overlook a team that's missing their star player. And their star player is is Steph Curry.

Chris Finch says, let's try not to fall into the trap. We got beat in the possession game and that had nothing to do with whether Steph was on the floor or not. So, you know, we were awful in transition that had nothing to do with whether Steph was on the floor or not. So there's a lot of things that we need to improve upon to to even out this series.

Yeah, even it out. Ryan, I think they'll do it tonight. I think Minnesota is going to win at home. Minnesota should win at home.

And it's not even a question. I think you you can't rely for the Warriors. You can't rely on Jimmy Butler to score more than, I'd say at this point in his career, more than twenty five points per game. And Buddy Heald, I don't know how long he's going to keep the shooting up, but it's not sustainable. So what for Buddy Heald to just keep going off launch shots. Yeah, they're going to shut him down eventually. Yeah.

You can't be Batman now. Buddy Heald is one of the best shooters in the NBA. He can be streaky. But if you can key in on him.

And Botcher is right. If you look at Jimmy Butler, he's he's an all around player. You have a game where he give you some a good amount of points, but he's an all around player just doing a little bit of everything. He's not somebody that's just going to get every bucket. He can get hot just like anybody else. But he's not just a score.

They're going to have to spread that out. I mean, is Gary Payton Jr. going out there? Speaking of people's kids, is Gary Payton Jr. out there? Is he going to help pick up some of the scoring slack? And is Draymond actually going to hit more threes? It's just I don't know.

Maybe Draymond would look like a different player if he didn't have Steph Curry. Who knows? I'm not that confident. But I'm I'm still going to take Minnesota for this series. The fact that Steph Curry. Come on. Now he's going to miss the majority of it. He would have to. The Warriors would have to take two games and make it go up three, have three game lead.

Oh, my God. For it to even be close for me. Yeah. It's like the next two. They need to get to that third win. Yeah.

Gets it gets a three wins and everybody can feel comfortable. Hey, man, we got commercials for everything. Oh, at least this one is a little decent.

We got Scott Van Pelt doing commercials for Manscaped. But this is for your head. This is the dome shaver by Basha. They've advanced. I thought they only made things for other things. I think they they're just trying to monopolize that. The trimming the trimming game. They're going to take away. Look, they're coming for Gillette. I don't know. Gillette's like one of the originals. It's like one hundred and like three hundred years old. Right. People are shaving with a rock in.

Foxborough in Foxborough Stadium. Oh, that was bad joke. Yeah. I was like, what are we doing? Yeah. They were shaving with a rock in.

Oh, how did people make these? I mean, isn't that what is a race of steel, ain't it? That's still some piece of metal, sharp metal.

Yeah. Some some iron worker was there just making blades for the whole town. I don't know. If I was in back in those days, I wouldn't be out here shaving for what? To look clean, as they would say. I don't shave now.

I don't got time for that. Shave for what? I don't know. You shave? You shave, Botcher?

Every now and then. Don't want it to get messy. That's the thing. I don't got no time for that.

If it grows, it's supposed to be there. So ain't no shaving, Botcher. No, thank you. Manscaped. No thanks. I saw Scott Van Pelt and I was like, is he all going to be on one of these commercials?

No, thanks. Manscaped selling everything. What are they going to sell next? I don't know.

What a world. It's the JR Sportbreeze Show on the Infinity Sports Network. 888-710-4ISN.

That's 888-710-4ISN. Yeah, we're minutes away from Minnesota and the Golden State Warriors getting underway. And the Golden State Warriors, they're going to try to finish up some business here in Minnesota.

We come back on the other side of the break speaking about finishing up business. Yesterday, we saw George Pickens get traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Dallas Cowboys. There's still some unfinished business across the NFL. We got a couple of other big names. Household names that have to figure out what comes next.

I'm going to give you an update on some of these players and where they might stand. It's the JR Sportbreeze Show on the Infinity Sports Network. Don't move. You're listening to the JR Sportbreeze.

The JR Sportbreeze Show on the Infinity Sports Network. Hey, we are minutes away. We're minutes away from the Golden State Warriors trying to handle business in Minnesota, trying to walk away with a 2-0 series lead against the Minnesota Timberwolves without Steph Curry. We got to wait and see what this looks like. I'm sure Anthony Edwards is going to be ridiculously aggressive. I would be surprised tonight if the Golden State Warriors walk away with a victory. Let's see. Somebody is going to have to step up big.

They're going to have to go out there and spread the wealth. And speaking of finishing up business, George Pickens didn't get an opportunity to finish business in the Steel City. Apparently, Mike Tomlin did not want him. He was the dude who pushed him out the door. And I guess you can say that George Pickens pushed himself out the door with his behavior, like not showing up on time, undermining his offense, publicly chastising what they do or don't do. But this is the same dude who was at Georgia, you know, picking fights in the hedges. OK, George Pickens is used to being on the wrong side of right. OK. And so now he gets to exercise that right with the Dallas Cowboys, which would be great. Instead of playing with D.K. Metcalf, you'll be opposite C.D. Lamb, where he can certainly go out and post some absolutely amazing numbers, knowing that he is now option number two and C.D.

Lamb is going to get a lot of attention, allowing him to go out there and apparently get some easy shots. There was a press conference today with George Pickens. He spoke to the media and according to the Fort Worth Star Telegram and George Pickens said. I'm where I'm at right now. I can't look into the past. And George Pickens is thinking about what comes forward as it relates to how people feel about him. He says, I can't change anyone's opinion. Me personally, I just continue to grow.

Everyone in the world has to grow as you get older and older. I'm just trying to build a winning culture, which they already have at the Cowboys. I'm just glad to be joining. OK. All right there. Now, that's just the case of athletes saying whatever.

OK. I can tell you, I think most people can tell you, you're supposed to learn as you get older. Some people never learn. George Pickens just might be one of those folks.

We have no idea. You should learn as you get older. And some people just. Unfortunately, they never change. And so this move was rumored for weeks.

And today or yesterday, it came to fruition yesterday morning. George Pickens exchanged for a third round pick. Now, there still are some additional moves in the NFL that have yet to take place yet. Like, for instance, back with the Pittsburgh Steelers. We got we got Aaron Rodgers. And what is going to happen with Aaron Rodgers? You know, it was only about a month ago.

I know Tom flies. I don't want to say when you're having fun, but Aaron Rodgers was sitting down with Pat McAfee. And in only true Aaron Rodgers fashion, he had to let everybody know that he hasn't joined a team. The Steelers or anybody hasn't joined a team yet. Well, simply because there are issues in his.

Inner circle, what? From the jump, it's you know, I'm in a different phase of my life. I'm 41 years old. I'm in a serious relationship. I have off the field off the field stuff going on that requires my attention. I have personal commitments I made. Not knowing what my future is going to look like after last year that are important to me. And and I have, you know, a couple of people in my inner inner circle who are really battling some some difficult stuff. So I have a lot of things that are that are taking my attention and have beginning in really January away from away from football.

And that's been where I've been focusing most of my attention on. You know, to make a commitment to a team is a big thing, whether you're a first year player or a 20 20 year vet. Man, I know this guy's personal business. I don't know his personal business. I do know that if everything's I he gonna play. OK. Aaron Rodgers is not going out being a bum on the New York Jets. He will show up and play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will throw that rock to D.K.

Metcalf. He will find somebody else like Alan Lazar to throw to and the world will continue on. Aaron Rodgers is the big shoe to drop. I expected him to kind of take away everybody's attention from the NFL draft a couple of weeks ago, but apparently not. And George Pickens moving or being moved to the Dallas Cowboys, I don't think that's going to stop Aaron Rodgers from going to Pittsburgh. And he's not the only dude trying to figure out his future.

Well, I know this guy. He knows what his future is going to be. Brock Purdy still has to get paid like that's another storyline that hasn't been finished up yet. Man was the last pick in a draft back in, what, 2022.

And here we are. Brock Purdy is about to break the bank. He's going to make approximately 50 plus million dollars. This is someone whose first contract was in the range of about five million dollars.

If he still stayed on the team, obviously he did. The San Francisco 49ers have cut a lot of veterans, got rid of a lot of dudes, sent Deebo packing on offense, Hufanga let him walk. They made a lot of room for Brock Purdy to be paid. What is he going to get paid? We're going to find out sooner than later. I'm expecting his deal to be announced right before training camp.

OK, let's go back to April 1st. Jed York, owner of these 49ers, helps run the show, the York family. He talked about Brock Purdy's negotiations on the NFL network. Listen to this.

I think they've been good. It's not conversations that I'm having. Right.

I've seen Brock a few times at the facility. Like everything is great. Everything is cordial. And again, like he's got to make a decision of what he wants to do. Like, well, I don't think we're that far apart. I think we can sit down and get something done. But whenever he's ready, we're ready. And if it's something that lasts through the offseason, because sometimes these things drag out a little bit, you're confident that he'll be able to do what he needs to do this offseason without that.

I mean, I don't think anything is going to faze Brock. And that's that's what you love about him. Oh, yeah, he's showing up to work, man. Come on. You're that humble.

This guy was selected last in the draft. He is happy and thrilled. He knows he's getting paid the big bucks. He's going to show up to work and he got to pay on the big bucks. No big deal.

No issues. With Brock Purdy, that's another issue. We got Aaron Rodgers needs to get things figured out. We got Brock Purdy needs to get things figured out now. On the other hand, speaking of issues, Dallas Cowboys like to wear things down to the wire.

They like to make people sweat. What the hell is the deal with Michael Parsons as he enters the final year of his deal? What the hell are they going to do with that guy? And I mean, we had a conversation yesterday. Joe Hoyt was here from DLLS Cowboys, and he's just like, hey, JR, Dallas Cowboys want to make him the highest paid player in the league who's not a quarterback.

Well, you know what that means? They're gonna have to pay him more than 40 million dollars a year. Miles Garrett is sitting higher than 40.

I think he's at 40 and a half right now. But Jerry Jones, he's going to do a deal. But he was talking about not knowing David Mulligetta's name. That's Michael Parsons' agent.

Like, how are you going to do a deal and be disrespectful to the agent? Listen to old man, Jerry. Are you kidding me? That's just not something that you should worry about. You should be worrying about your ability to make it work, and you should be worried about what the player does.

Does he have good enough health? Does he have enough skill to do what you're paying him the money for? The agent is not a factor here or something to worry about. And I don't know his name.

And so my point is that I'm not trying to demean you in any way. But this isn't about an agent. The agent doesn't have one thing to do with what we're doing when we get on the football field against the team.

Micah does, to the degree I'm involved, I do. Oh, man, that's the most Dallas Cowboys thing. Like Jerry Jones, that's something nutty every week. He should be the real not honest. Never mind.

Never mind. I was going to say Jerry Jones should be the real life Truman show, but I don't I don't want to see Jerry Jones wake up. I don't want to see him before he goes to sleep.

I don't want to follow that guy around all day. But you think he's you think he's getting any naps and he has to take a nap, right? Every three minutes closes his eyes. Oh, you think it's one of those unintentional naps. So he's sitting in these meetings with his family and his son.

And he just he's resting his eyes. Right. One of those.

That's the only reason why he doesn't know Micah Parsons agent's name. Oh, he probably met him asleep. Yep. Yeah. Reasonable. Yeah. Jerry Joe. What a guy. What a guy.

Just spout nonsense. Now, if there's one deal that's going to take forever, you think about all these contracts that need to get where it. I mean, we even got Trey Hendrickson on defense. Guy had 17 and a half sacks the past few season. He plays for a bum ass organization. We see what he does, you know, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals. And there are reports that somehow, some way the Bengals are going to fit him into a contract. And I'm just like, are you are you kidding me?

Like I how they do that, I have no idea. But amongst all of these deals from a Trey Hendrickson to a Brock Purdy, Brock Purdy will get paid and show up to work. There's not going to be tension there. Trey Hendrickson, I guess he'll take a hometown discount to stick around with the Cincinnati Bengals. Michael Parsons will be stressed to high hell how his deal works, even in training camp. He'll show up.

But the whole talk every day will get kind of contentious. I, I expect. And then we got here in Atlanta, we got Kirk Cousins. It's the most glorified backup in the NFL right now. Because the Falcons are absolutely ridiculous.

I don't know. Maybe the Falcons are waiting for a quarterback to break a leg or something. Where could Kirk Cousins at this point in time possibly go besides Pittsburgh if Aaron Rodgers says, I don't want to show up? Like it would take an injury, a big injury for this dude to really go anywhere. It was supposed to be Cleveland. And now they got 15 quarterbacks that they need to go through before Chador Sanders even gets a chance.

Batra, am I wrong? Like is there a team somewhere for Kirk Cousins right now? There's got to be, I don't know, maybe Minnesota if things go bad in preseason. Maybe. A reunion? Like a reluctant reunion?

Yeah. Bad blood there. But at the same time, let's just say J.J. McCarthy has a bad training camp in Brad preseason.

Maybe something goes there? And they go, Kevin O'Connell comes back on his hands and knees and just goes, hey man, listen. We need you. And Kirk Cousins go, I don't want to go back because you don't want me, but I need you too.

And so they just do it. I also think that Kevin O'Connell could take a random quarterback out of college and make him serviceable for two weeks. So he's very good. Kevin O'Connell is a former NFL quarterback. I guess he learned a lot on the bench.

Yeah, I don't know. We'll see what happens. I know here in Atlanta, as much as Kirk Cousins wanted to leave and politely tried to push a trade, he hasn't gone anywhere yet. And Terry Fontenot here, the GM of the Atlanta Falcons, this is what he had to say about any rumors involving Kirk Cousins. We just have to look at whatever, say, if we get an offer on any player, we get an offer, we have to look at it and say, is this going to help our team?

Is this the betterment of our team? And then we'll do it with Kirk or anyone else. It comes down to that.

But the report that says a specific number, that's not accurate. We haven't said that. Man, they're going to have to eat money, trade him and send him to a team that's desperate because their quarterback went down. It happens. Kirk Cousins will get traded the minute somebody gets hurt in training camp or early on in the regular season. It's just the Falcons cannot go through, go through the entire season with Kirk Cousins breathing down the neck and back of Michael Pennix Jr. The Falcons wanted Michael Pennix and this is what they got, who, by the way, has a history of injuries. This is the most Falcons thing ever. They know how to make a deal or a terrible one. They know how to make terrible decisions, let's put it that way, including losing the Super Bowl 28 to 3. It's the J.R. Sportbree show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network.

The Golden State Warriors in Minnesota, they are currently underway. They just tipped off. If you want to give me a call, you can do that. 888-710-4ISN.

That's 888-710-4ISN. And speaking of making deals, everybody I just mentioned, somehow, someway, they're either A, already getting paid or they will be paid. We had a lot of star athletes, tons of them. Everybody from Shohei Ohtani to Tom Brady and even Steph Curry, who, by the way, is standing on the sidelines right now.

There's a crap ton of athletes who just avoided a major legal problem. I'll tell you what happened on the other side of the break. It's the J.R. Sportbree show on the Infinity Sports Network. And right now it is time for a news flash with Rich Ackerman. You are listening to the J.R. Sportbree.

It is the J.R. Sportbree show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. Oh, yeah, Manny Pacquiao. Oh, my goodness. Oh, you didn't know Manny Pacquiao was coming back to fight at 46 years old. He hasn't fought in four years. He's last 42 years old and he lost. Oh, my God. Taxman must be calling Manny Pacquiao.

That's it. He must all the IRS, Uncle Sam, Uncle whoever, and in the Philippines, I don't know, maybe the uncles in the Philippines asking for money. Manny Pacquiao is coming back to fight. He'll make money in Vegas.

People will show up, I guess, based on what I've seen in the past. Anyway, right now, Minnesota leading Golden State 13 to zero to start the game. There's already about five minutes have gone by, four or five minutes, and Golden State still looking to get on the board. You know, speaking of money, I did see this story earlier today.

Of course, everybody's always looking for money. I think it was yesterday, two days ago, we discussed. Shador Sanders is like a fan of Shador who's suing the NFL, you know, for his his fall in the draft. He's like, hey, he wasn't supposed to get drafted in the fifth round and is the league colluded and now I'm in pain. I need to sue for pain. I need to sue for pain. Batra, who do I sue for pain and emotional distress? Can I sue my employer? Can I do that?

Depends where the pain came from. OK. Just by showing up to work. Does that count?

No, I don't think so. OK. All right. OK. I'm trying. I'm trying. People try every day. I mean, we got people out here ready to sue anybody.

As we call these guys, ambulance chasers. OK. It's like just finding anybody with an accident, finding a way to go ahead and and get some money out of them. Well, today I saw news and we all know about crypto. I'm sure you've heard of crypto. It's could be a legitimate money, a funny money, unregulated money, digital money. We can go on and on about crypto and digital money. Money and digital currency aren't going anywhere.

But as crypto kind of exploded, of course, there are different marketplaces and no different than a trading house or bank. And FTX was one of them. You might recall at one point in time, the Miami Heat renamed their arena. Whoever the hell owns it, maybe it's the city, but they renamed it American Airlines Center. They had a new deal with FTX for like a year.

That place was named FTX Arena until that place went straight to hell. And the guy who founded it has basically been locked up for being a criminal, running a Ponzi scheme and stealing everybody's money. And like a lot of things, you get a lot of money invested. You get a lot of marketing. You get a lot of attention. You got branding deals and all this such. And one way to get people's attention is by employing big name athletes, athletes like Shohei Ohtani, who unfortunately got robbed by his own friends.

So I don't know if we want to trust Shohei when it comes to money. Hey, Shaquille O'Neal. Steph Curry was a celebrity ambassador for FTX.

Naomi Osaka, Shaquille O'Neal, Trevor Lawrence, Tom Brady, Big Poppy. They all received money for marketing deals to help promote FTX. No different than, you know, having a marketing deal with Nike or Under Armour or deodorant brand.

A shave brand. Athletes get the money. Except for FTX went belly up. And so we had a bunch of athletes who were getting sued as a result because they were promoting what was pretty much said to be unbeknownst to them, just a criminal enterprise. And so I guess if you are an ambulance chaser, you're going to sue the athletes, too, for being deceptive, for being sneaky, for taking advantage of the public.

It's not a good thing. These athletes, they got sued two years ago. And apparently a lot of these cases got dismissed today. Listen to this original report from CBS Boston in twenty twenty three. Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen, David Ortiz. Not the guest list to an exclusive New England party. It's actually a list of names now facing a huge lawsuit for the crypto crash. FTX clients lost billions of dollars when the crypto exchange suddenly collapsed. WBZ's Chris Tanaka is here now to explain why celebrities, Chris, are included in this class action lawsuit. Yeah.

And we want to make no mistake on this. The founder of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, is also included. But the suit says Brady, Ortiz and others are to blame because of their influence on the public.

Tom Brady can't catch a break. He's one of several celebs included in the lawsuit, which claims the company was a house of cards and a Ponzi scheme that was only successful because of the influence of those who endorsed it. The suit alleges all the parties involved engaged in deceptive practices, causing a loss of 11 billion dollars.

FTX is the safest and easiest way to buy and sell crypto. Brady not only hawked the service, but received an undisclosed equity stake in the exchange. Tom Brady ain't make no money off of that. Tom Brady got a check at the beginning. He took his money and he left just like everybody else. Apparently, Shaquille O'Neal, he settled. What that means, I don't know. Shaquille O'Neal says, you know, here's a quarter million dollars.

Leave me alone. Split that money up. Everybody get a couple thousand.

At least that's my interpretation of it. When I first heard this lawsuit, I'm like, are you? What's going to happen? Like, is Naomi Osaka going to go broke? Of course not. You think Steph Curry is going to have to pay something? Of course not.

Come on. And any marketing money and deals that they got, if they needed to pay it back, they could. Here's a half million dollars.

Not a check that you would want to write, but hey, come on now. Not that big a deal. Crypto got a lot of people in trouble. Also got a lot of people rich. It got the owner, the founder locked up.

There's some crazy stuff out here. I still find it hilarious that Shohei Ohtani was involved in this as an ambassador. Bacho, what the hell could Shohei say? He doesn't use social media. He doesn't speak English and marketing.

Like, how the hell did he get involved in this? Gambling? Question mark? Oh, crap. Oh, boy. Don't want to go there, but maybe. You think you think Ipe Muzahara set this up for him? Maybe. He's like, yeah, I know.

I know. Pretty good Ponzi scheme that we can get some gambling funds for. Is he locked up yet? I think he is. I think he got three years, three to five years. Whatever he got, he got off easy.

Yeah, a lot easier. What is he going to do? Stay locked up in America and then we're going to give him the boot? I think so.

I think some eventually get out and then I'll go back to I think Japan and then. Yeah. And he'll be shamed by everybody. Oh, my. Well, listen, bro, have you heard about how they shame themselves in Japan?

No. So they go on. They disappear on purpose out there because they've shamed themselves. Like they wipe their identities and they sometimes they have opportunities just to disappear off the face of the earth.

Maybe if they will come back different person. Not as a translator, I know that much. Wow.

Good luck to Ipe. He might be listening right now. I don't know.

Can he watch TV? Shout out to everybody out there holding it down. It's the J.R. Sportbreeze show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. We're going to take a break when we come back. We'll give you an update on this game between the Timberwolves and the Golden State Warriors. You have the game with no Steph Curry. The J.R. Sportbreeze show. Infinity Sports Network.
