This is the Truth Network.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is set for one flaw. Introducing first, from Lithuania, he weighs 123 kilos, the Russian nightmare, Nikita Kolov. Welcome to another episode of Q&A with Kolov, the Devil's Nightmare.

These shows are so much fun for me. I hope you have as much fun listening as I do interviewing or really I feel like I get interviewed on this show because you get the opportunity to ask me some questions and get a personal phone call from the Russian nightmare. And with me today, no stranger, well, no stranger to the Man Up show.

I've had her as a guest on the Man Up show and now on Q&A. Paige Loudermilk, welcome to Q&A with Kolov. Well, thank you. It's good to be back.

Well, it's great to have you back. I know we had a lot of great feedback on the show we did there on the Man Up show. Did those you shared that with, what kind of feedback did you get, Paige? Oh, I got a lot of feedback on that, yes. I hope it was good. Yeah, it was. It was very good. Just making sure, just making sure. Yeah, absolutely. What's something, did they say anything in particular that they enjoyed?

I'm just curious. Well, let's see. They just said that you helped me get through it very well. I mean, it was just like it was casual and comfortable and they really enjoyed listening to it. Now, did they hear some parts of your story like maybe they had never heard before or they maybe already kind of knew all that about you or what? Well, actually they did not know the story how Brandon ended up going to Man Camp. So, now I know when Brandon went to Man Camp, I think he went to serve like after that. And one of the campers had mentioned that he heard my podcast and I had encouraged him to go.

That's why he went. Oh, wow. Okay. I thought that was interesting. Yeah, that's very cool. And for those who don't know, let me just give you a quick back story. She's referring to the Man Camp that Lex Luger and I facilitate every spring and fall. And actually her son Brandon was working at a car wash in Atlanta where Lex would bring his car through to get it washed. And if I know Lex about every other day probably, but maybe not that often, but at some point he and Brandon engaged in conversation and Lex encouraged him, told him about Man Camp, encouraged him to consider it and to maybe come to a camp. Paige, I guess at some point he mentioned it to you or something because ultimately you were the major catalyst and is actually following through and coming, but did like Brandon, how did you know about Man Camp? Well, Lex had mentioned it to Brandon and he just told me about it and I said, oh, that sounds like a good opportunity. So I had looked into it a little bit and until I told Brandon, I said, you really, really should go.

I think this is good for you because he was already struggling with some anxiety, some, just some issues. I said, you really should go. Well, I couldn't get him to go at first. He wasn't really excited about it. Like going to a Man Camp for a whole week. And I was like, no, you're going to like this.

I think you'd miss out on an opportunity. So with strong encouragement from me, I finally got him to go, but he was glad that he did. Yeah. Strong encouragement from Mama Bear. Come on. There's something to say about Mama Bears. Come on. Actually, there's a lot, lot to be said about Mama Bears, but well, no, that's a great story because, you know, I know, I know he was even talking to him, you know, since that, you know, his apprehension and the uncertainty, you know, and all of that.

But, but I know he won. I know he had a great camp and, and then, yeah, what you're referring to, what, what Paige is referring to is once guys come to camp, they've got a couple options there. They've got several, but one, they can come back actually and serve the entire week if that's something they're interested in doing. And, and we have lots of guys who, who do that and, or some guys are like, you know, I, I, I'm not able to get another, you know, a whole another week off to, to come to camp, but I can get a night off and they'll come and, and just serve one night. And just, yeah, I just love all the guys and, and, and serve a meal. And, and so, you know, it's a pretty cool deal to have, you know, have a bunch of alumni, former campers come and just serve these guys who, you know, who are attending the camp. And so if you want more, you're out there listening, you've not even ever heard of Man Camp, not familiar with Man Camp, I just want to encourage you to go to mancamp.info, mancamp.info, I N F O, mancamp.info, and check it out, like Paige checked it out and, and saw it as a great opportunity. And, and let me just say too, especially if you're a first responder, you put on the uniform law enforcement, military uniform, we want to just bless you.

We have scholarships available and just want to bless you. And, and, uh, it was your heart's desire to come and, and just draw closer to God and, and just encounter and experience him in ways like, like Brandon and many other men have. And, and I'm guessing when he returned homepage that you, you may, I'm hoping anyway, that you may have seen some, some, uh, some changes in Brandon, or, or was it obvious that he had an encounter at camp? He had tool when he came back and he wrote in his journal, you know, he took notes throughout the whole process and he would refer back to those things.

Um, so I thought that was really good. He grabbed hold of, of some, some things that still helping him now. Yes. Some useful, some useful, and we do call them tools. We're like, Hey guys, we're going to give you some tools for your tool belt that you go home and put these tools into practice.

And with the ultimate goal of, of helping these men, encouraging these men, empowering these men, you know, to, to be godly men, you know, godly husbands for those who are married, godly fathers for those who have children. And so that's amazing now. And so you yourself are down in the great state of Georgia, the peach state as well, correct?

That's correct. I'm in powder Springs, Georgia. And what keeps you busy outside of encouraging your son to come to camp?

What keeps Paige busy in powder Springs, Georgia? Well, I'm a teacher, I'm a science teacher for middle and high school at a private Christian school. And how many years have you done that? This I'm starting on my seventh year. This next fall will be my seventh year.

Seven years. And is that what, what prompted you to get into teaching? Well, um, Brandon was probably starting kindergarten. I think that's when I started.

Yes. Um, when he was in kindergarten, I decided to just go back and go into teaching because it, the schedule fit well, you know, being a, having a family. So I decided to do that. And I taught in public for 11 years.

And then, um, when my daughter, she started struggling a little bit and I thought I would put her in a private school. And so the opportunity came up for me to switch over to the private side and that this would be my seventh year with them. I'm guessing a very rewarding career.

It is very, yes. I mean, it's challenging, of course, but, uh, just the people that I know that I'm impacting is just, it's more meaningful to me than, than the actual academic side. I mean, I like teaching them new things, but just making those relationships and helping them through their academic career and just getting to know them and encouraging them. And just, just trying to help them travel through childhood because middle school. Yeah.

Well, in today's world, any ages at this point is, is tough, right? Just navigating life itself. But, uh, well, that's pretty, pretty amazing. And, and I know I saw you too before we were going to segue to your questions here in just a moment. But, uh, you came up to Rise Up Con in Sevierville, Tennessee, uh, an autograph signing that I was a part of. Did you enjoy that? Did you have a great time up there? Yes, it was, I was not expecting like the vendors that were there. I was not expecting who would actually be there.

Um, I knew there would be some major celebrities, but the authors and illustrators and producers and writers, I did not expect that. So it was a really fun experience. And my daughter is an artist. She likes being creative. So she got to talk to Mike Naraki, who's Larry the Cucumber, the voice for VeggieTales. Yeah.

Yeah. And she's not a big talker. She's very reserved and quiet. So she, she actually had a one-on-one conversation.

I just stepped back and she was, they were talking back and forth. And so that was thrilling for me as a mom. Yeah. Yes.

So it was a really good, it was kind of like, it was fun, but it was a field trip for her. Yeah. Well, that's very cool.

Yeah. Well, that's very cool. And a unique experience for, for many people and what kind of one of a kind, hopefully my understanding is there's other cities that have found out about it and have extended invitations and hopefully, because it was, it's a faith, a faith-based convention and Rise Up Con, a faith-based convention. And so lots of, whether it was actors or, or even athletes or as Paige is talking about, writers and producers and directors. And, and so pretty unique. I mean, they had, they had film debuts, they had workshops and, and, and concerts in the evening. Christian artists, artists there, Seventh Day Slumber, Mac Powell. So they had different concerts in the evening.

So yeah, pretty cool concept. So hopefully, hopefully they'll get to do some more. Hopefully they'll do some more. I hope so. Cause if they do it again, I want to go. I want to make sure I attend. Yep.

Well, maybe it's a minor announcement. Anyway, Facebook, go look up my new fan page, Nikita Koloff Fans, and like it and follow today. Alright, Paige, let's get to your questions. Q&A with Koloff and so if you're ready, I'm ready. What do you got for me? Okay, I'm ready.

Alright, here we go. Alright, so my first question, in your book, A Tale of the Ring and Redemption, the chapter that you wrote about defining moments, that had the biggest impact on me. I was able to look back through my life because I felt stuck for a while.

So it kind of helped me reflect and I could kind of move forward. So my question to you is, since writing the book, have you had any other defining moments or do you feel like you're kind of in the middle of one, you can see one developing? That's a great question and I think anyone listening out there, you know, if you took a few moments and just sat and reflected on your own life journey, can probably look back and think about moments in life that, as I have, Paige alluded to, defining moments, right? Moments in your life that, you know, something, and it could be something traumatic or something exhilarating. I mean, you know, walking down an aisle and getting married can be a real defining moment or at least should be a defining moment, you know?

When you walk the aisle and get married, you know, having a child, you know, Paige is talking about her son and her daughter and, you know, that can be a defining moment and, you know, my, you know, when I launched into professional wrestling, you know, wasn't looking for a wrestling career, wasn't something I dreamed of as a kid growing up, but a door of opportunity opened up and looking back, I'm like, wow, that was a real defining moment for me. And so great question, Paige, and I guess if I hadn't fully, until you asked the question, really thought, I'm just kind of rolodexing through my mind right now kind of currently what I'm doing, because I guess the way I phrased it, I've told my pastor and others really feeling the moment of kind of what I would call a sweet spot, if that makes sense. In other words, just all the different things I'm doing, whether it's a rise up con convention or, you know, interviewing you for the Q&A with Koloff or facilitating a man camp with Lex Luger, you know, facilitating a man of conference, preaching on a Sunday morning.

You know, there's a lot of things I'm doing right now that I'm absolutely just blown away and humbled by the opportunity. As far as you use the word developing, I would say, and just kind of processing your question and thinking this through, that there are some other things that are developing, there's some other books that I want to write, some other projects that I'm working on that perhaps may be, you might say, another defining moment in molding and shaping me into the image of Christ, that through all of that, you know, I'll be able to, whether I include that in the next book, I don't know that I'll update Ring of Redemption, I think we'll leave it as it is at this point, but perhaps I'll include that in maybe one of the next books, some of the new experiences I've had since writing the last book. Okay, cool. Okay, it's kind of a long-winded answer to your question, but I hope that at least answered it somewhat.

It did, and just tagging on to that, when I wrote my defining, the biggest one I had, I wrote it out, and looking back, God was putting breadcrumbs for me to follow, and so it just kind of led me up to, and so you can look back and see where he was leading me at the time, so I'm just curious about that. Okay, so next question. During your career, you've been known for being disciplined in your staying in character, K-faith, I think?

Yes, that is the term, yes. When your daughters were young, did you find it difficult to explain to them that you were just pretending, or did they get confused if you act differently in public? It's kind of a funny story, but one of my daughters, so Taryn's the oldest, and there's Tawny, and then Kendra, and then there's Colby, and I don't fully remember this moment, but when the older girls, so the older girls, their birth father wouldn't let me officially adopt them, but I just kind of took them under my wing, and in my mind I adopted them and raised them as my own, and they were basically seven and four when I met their mom, and I thought, you know, in their innocence, if I break character around them, you know, they were going to elementary school, right, or preschool, that sort of thing, and somebody's going to find out, wait, Nikita Kolov's your dad now, or whatever? And they're going to go, yeah, does she speak English?

And they're going to go, yeah, he does. So Paige, like for real, I still maintained around them for a while that persona, okay? Because I'm like, in their innocence, they're just going to say and not know not to. And so I remember at some point, you know, when I'm like, all right, I just got to break the news somehow, maybe they're old enough to understand, I set them down and say, now listen, here's the deal, but you can't tell anybody, right?

Okay, that's what I was wondering. How did you handle that? Well, I guess I said something to where Tawny says to her mom, she's like, Mom, what's wrong with Daddy's voice? Because I wasn't speaking with the accent anymore, I was speaking like this, right? Like proper English. And what's wrong with Daddy's voice?

Something's wrong with Daddy's voice. Oh my goodness, okay. And I think that was the point when I said, all right, I probably need to sit her down and explain some things to her.

So that's how all that happened and they were, as far as I know, pretty good at helping protect Kayfabe. Okay. Yep, yep, yep. So that was good, that's a great question, that was a great question. All right, so do I have time for one more?

We do, got time for one more question, yep. Okay, all right, so going with your parents being your persona, you have them parents being confident and strong and tough. But personally, is there anything that makes you nervous or fearful or you pray the Lord doesn't ask you to do? Wow, that's pretty good. Well, at one point, I did say when I was reading the Bible about the five-fold ministry, right? About preachers and evangelists and teachers and prophets and, how do I forget the fifth one? There's one more in there, but it'll come to me, apostle, apostle, right? And so I'm studying that out, you know, in terms of learning what each one meant and, you know, the preacher one that was pretty simple to understand. Well, that's like my preacher, like Jay, you know, he's a preacher, he stands up on the pulpit every Sunday morning and preaches the word, right? And then, you know, evangelists, oh, that's someone who just typically travels and is a soul winner, you know, preaches a salvation message, you know, and preaches, you know, the gospel. And I'm like, okay, so I kind of go through all that page and I'm like, and then as I get to travel as an evangelist and ultimately a missionary in some aspect as well and meet lots of pastors and hear all the horror stories of some churches, I'm like, Lord, please don't ever call me to pastor a church. Like I just don't, I just don't know, like, can we put that on the bottom of the totem pole down, like way down here low?

Uh-huh, please. Because I'm like, you know, I'm learning to love people, Lord, but I don't know that I have a pastor's heart, right? Like that's just, honestly, that's a special calling.

It really is. Not just anybody can be a pastor, you really need, now other guys have tried to be, but you really have to have what I call a pastoral heart for people, you know, to nurture them. And, you know, like I got one of my buddies, he said, you don't want me being your marriage counselor because if you come in my office and sit down and you started telling me, oh, your woe is me, I'm just going to say, here's my counsel, get over it. That's my, there you go. Because that would be my marriage counsel, get over it, right?

Right, right. And I'm just laughing, I'm like, yeah, I, you know, I get it. So I'm like, yeah, it would probably be me as a pastor.

Hey, grow up, would you, you know, or whatever, right? But, so all that to say, here's God's sense of humor. So in 2018, in 2018, I have some church friends and their church is going through a transition and they're like, hey, would you be like an interim pastor, you know, for a few months while we go through this, you know, this transition? And I'm like, ah, Lord, you're so funny. You're so funny. And so I did all that to say, I did, I didn't have to be there every week, every week for, in all the inner workings and pastoral meetings and all that kind of stuff that comes with it typically. So I got a taste of it, Paige. And I will say I'm grateful to get a taste of it, but it's still not a high up on the totem pole. You just still know that's not the route you want to go.

Not necessarily. I don't think that's my calling there. I think you want me to be an evangelist and a missionary and a teacher and radio show personality, you know, and all of that.

If I can stick in those lanes, I'll be good Lord. But, but, and then one other thought there too, you know, as far as, you know, you mentioned, you know, anything that, you know, that I'm fearful of or anything of that nature, I would, the shorter answer on that is not really, I'm, you know, just learning to, you know, have a healthy fear of the Lord, right? Just, you know, respect and reverence for him. But, you know, I read the Bible and he says, he hasn't given us a spirit of fear. So I don't need to be fearful of man or fearful of things that are happening in society, no matter how much it might unravel.

I put my faith and confidence in, in, in the one true God and knowing he's going to sustain me, provide for me and, and, and, you know, bring me along. So, yep. Amen. Well, good. Well, great. Well, great to have you on the show today. Some great questions and look forward to perhaps bumping into you and, and, or seeing Brandon here somewhere down the line as well. Absolutely.

I'm sure you'll be coming back to Connection Point. Yes. I have been talking to Pastor T and I think possibly after the, really after the first year, we may be doing a man up dinner there at Connection Point and then staying over and preaching on Sunday morning for him as well. So we're, we're, we're talking and trying to look at a calendar and look at some dates. Awesome. Well, I'll, if you come, I'll show up, I'll come and say, hey. Well, I appreciate all the support Paige and you have an amazing day. Okay.

Okay. You too. Thank you. And to all of you out there in Listening Land, my challenge to you, go out today yourself and have a God filled and live a God blessed day. This podcast is made possible by the grace of God and your faithful prayers, support, and generous gifts.
