Ladies and gentlemen. The following contest is set for one fall. Introducing first. Lift the wind together. He weighs 123 kilos.

The Russian Nightmare. Nikita Cole. Welcome to another episode, QA with Cole off The Devil's Nightmare. Welcome back to another episode, QA with Coloff. It's the.

Chance, the opportunity to get a personal call from the Russian nightmare Nikita Koloff and ask me a few questions. Maybe you are always wondering about whether it's wrestling-related or ministry or life-related, whatever it is, go to koloff.net. and just message me and say, hey, I would love to be on your Your show, and we'll set up a time and we'll make it happen. But with me today is Marty Miller. Marty, welcome to QA with Koloff.

All right, Nikita, thank you for having me. I'm excited to be a part of this this show.

Well, it's great to have you here. Of course, you're down there in the Peach State of Georgia, right? And Marty, how long our friendship goes back? How far? Any idea?

Um, man, it's gotta be over over fifteen years, it's gotta be. fifteen fif at least fifteen fifteen plus years, right? Yeah. At least. And uh of course you're down there in the Peach State of Georgia.

You're you're out there in in in the marketplace.

So you know you gotta tell tell us just real quick about your lovely bride, your family. Yeah, we're um we just celebrated eight years of marriage and uh we've got four Um Teenagers, almost grown. Two of them are already graduated high school. One's in college, one's working. One graduates high school here soon.

And then Our youngest will be a senior next year, and we're a blended family. And uh just uh just enjoying life, heading towards the um empty nesters right now, but we're enjoying it. Head toward the empty and your lovely bride's name is Ashley. Ashley. Of course, I've met Ashley, and I've been down there in the Peach State with you over the years.

You're a brand new book author. Yes, sir. Yeah. Tell us about wrestling with Faith is a 21-day journey through the world of professional wrestling. What we do.

If we took, um events in wrestling and tied them to scripture. I've always been one to try to find scripture in everything that I that I'm involved with. And so Um we just find these just normal events um in professional wrestling and Tied them to different verses in the Bible and showed them how showed us how we can learn from. Wrestling to be better Christians and to understand who God is, just a little bit more.

So, it's quite a unique approach in that I love how you say, you know, we can find God everywhere. Just have to look around. Romans chapter 1 talks about, you know, even in just his creation, you can find him, right? He's not hard to find if your eyes are open and you're looking for him. But what's unique about your book is that you can even find him in a pro wrestling ring.

And I like how you say you took the craziest, some of the craziest, biggest moments in pro wrestling, and then how you parallel that or tied that together in a relatable way to that time-honored truth of God's word to illustrate a point, right? Yes, sir. In 21 days, I mean, they could, and it's a pretty easy read. I've read it and really enjoyed it. And thank you for having me in it, by the way.

That was very kind of you. Thank you for being a part of it. Yeah. Well, I was honored to be a part of it when you asked me to be a part of it. And obviously, with my wrestling background, with our friendship and relationship, because I've been down there.

And you something else wrestling related and ministry related. That's called Hope Championship Wrestling. Take a moment and tell our listeners about that.

Well, I hope Championship Wrestling is a professional wrestling organization. We do Regular wrestling shows, but in the midst of them, we just give the fans just a little bit more. We have somebody share testimony. or a a little bit about what God's doing in their life. And um So we just like I said, we just use professional wrestling as our platform.

Um to share the gospel. Um we've been in four years we we've been able to see over 400 people come to Christ. Through our events. And so it's been just amazing what God's doing. And we've actually this in the last year, we've been able to go into three prisons and do these events and those have been some amazing experiences in themselves.

Give us give us so that is it's amazing that you're able to get into the prison. I know I was telling Lex Luger that you were doing that, and he's like, wow, how'd they manage that? Because usually they don't, you know, not that wrestling is violent, it's entertainment, right? But it can come across, you know, violent, you know, the perspective of being of being violent. He's like, how'd they pull that off?

How'd they get in there with stirring up the crowd that way? And give us one highlight from those prisons.

So the quick story real quick of how we got there is we connected with a couple of guys over in Alabama that do prison ministry, and they just had the idea, and so they brought it up to awarding at one of the gels and he said, Sure. And so you know, after the first one, a couple of the other ones ones in the area began to listen up and say, hey, let's try that. And so we've been able to go to three different facilities all in the Alabama area. And um Yeah. Probably my biggest highlight was one of them we did a youth facility and I remember I was sitting back just watching the the inmates interact with the wrestlers.

and they were smiling and just having a great time. And I asked that warden, I said, when's the last time you saw these kids smile? And he looked at me and he said, Never, never. And you know, and anyway, listen, we can We can go back and forth about what they're in there for and that's a whole different story, but these are kids. And for just a couple of hours, we were able to help them Forget about what they had done, forget about the guilt, forget about maybe a court date coming up and just Have a little bit of fun and then hear the gospel.

And it was an amazing, just an amazing experience.

So forget about the troubles just for a brief moment there. And pretty amazing. Four years. I know I've been a part of some of these events over the years and witnessed myself people coming to Christ and using good old-fashioned wrestling as a tool, if you will, to bring people out that might not otherwise ever go to a church or a church function or church event. And so kudos to you for putting that together.

I know five years in the making on the book. And again, kudos to you for sticking with it, Marty, and putting that book together, wrestling with faith, right? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Wrestling with faith and of course your website, Hope.

wrestling ministries, That's plural. Wrestlingministries.org is where you can connect with Marty. If maybe you're out there listening, you're like, man, I'd love to maybe bring one of those events to our community and see your community impacted. And so that's one, that's where you can connect with Marty and/or get a copy of the book.

Now, is there anywhere else besides they can get an autographed copy of your book through the website? Where else can they get the book, Marty? It's on Amazon, and Amazon will get it to you in a day or two. And that's probably the easiest way. But like I said, if you want an autographed copy or if you want to connect with me in any way, just go through that website and there's my email is on there.

And I'll be glad to get it. and get you a copy of the book. And I I imagine, of course, obviously if they do that through your website and and or they can go on to your website, you you're uh you are a nonprofit.

So that buying your book is one way they can help help win souls to Christ and and help support Hope Championship Wrestling, right? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yeah. So check check all that out.

I'm going to tell you, like I said, I I I read the book and and you will you will enjoy you probably read it more than once. It's a it's the story's a very inspiring and very unique way of how Marty was able to take some of these events in wrestling and and relate them to stories in the Bible and and how they're uh how they're just so relatable one one to the other and uh so I And again, I appreciate you having my story in there. That was pretty amazing.

So I want to encourage you to, you as the listener, make sure you go over to the Man Up Show and listen to the full interview I did with Marty recently. And we're going to cover some things regarding blended families. We really talk, kind of dive into that, what that looks like, how to navigate that. Maybe you're out there listening and you're in a blended family, it'd be worth listening. And of course, we talk in more detail about the book and about some of the successes with Hope Championship Wrestling.

So make sure to check that out. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Nikita Koloff here, and I am excited. Did you hear the huge announcement, the big announcement?

Well, it is QA with Koloff Marty, so let's shift gears here and segue over to your first question. that you have for me. All right.

So let's let's start in the in the wrestling world. Um you've been a part of a lot of big moments over in your in your careers. In your career, what would you say if you could narrow it down to just one event, one Stow or event that you were a part of that was your favorite, that you could have your favorite, what would that be? Boy, you know, and of course, I've done quite a number of interviews over the years in addition to doing, you know, in addition to doing my own show. And, uh, Whether it's the man up or QA with Koloff, and I've had many, many, many discussions, and people try to pin me down, pun intended on that one.

People try to pin me down on what my all-time favorite was. And I've narrowed it down. I'm just going to say I've narrowed it down. And I'll start with the first ever. War games in there in the Omni in Atlanta, Georgia, probably not far from you being.

Yeah, they're they're in the Peach State, right? They're in Georgia. The very first ever war games, you know, the Four Horsemen and J.J. Dillon against the superpowers, Doti Road, American Dream, and the Russian Nightmare, if you will, the Thupa Powers with the Road Warriors and precious parts. call Ella Ring, and man, the night, I just thinking back on it, even right now, just how electric it was in that building.

And none of us really knew what the outcome was going to be or what, you know, it had never been done before. Like, like a number of things that we did with the NWA, with WCW, that it had never been done before. And boy, did it a hit and did it just take off? And when it was then later repeated, you know, I was a part of Sting Squadron against the Dangerous Alliance with Paul E. Dangerously, right?

So that one certainly had memories. And of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the very first ever. Again, first ever Great American Bash. My first title shot at the nature boy Rick Flair. He flew in on this helicopter, this chopper, into the Charlotte Outdoor Stadium there was incredibly memorable.

And then I probably top the list by saying the best of seven series against Magnum TA. Probably the most. I'm often asked about by fans is that best of seven series and the way it was set up and then just how it unfolded is talked about all the time.

So. I've narrowed it down to three, Marty. There you go. All right.

All great events. I remember them all by there happening yesterday. That's awesome. That's awesome. What else she got for me?

So let's go let's mix it in a little bit a little bit of ministry with the wrestling.

Okay. One of the things I love to do about Hope Wrestling is the opportunities that I get sometimes to talk with wrestlers about their faith and help them grow In their walk with Christ. And I know that at one time when you were in TNA, you told me that y'all were doing Bible studies before the show when TNA was first starting. What are some ways that you think that we could reach more of the wrestlers Um with The f with Through the gospel. Not the fans, the wrestlers.

Yeah, yeah, the wrestlers themselves. Of course, you do a great job in putting these hope. Hope championship wrestling events together because, you know, one way is, you know, have guys on those events that are not all following Christ, but they're going to be exposed to the gospel, right? And encouraging them, hey, listen to whoever you have as a guest speaker that night, you know, and/or coming in. You could even have them come in.

Maybe you've done this, but have them come into the dressing room and take five minutes before the matches start and just share their testimony with all those guys in the dressing room on that given night because they may choose to, or for whatever reason, not stick around long enough to hear the testimony out in the ring to the rest of the fans, right?

So that's certainly one opportunity. For others, you know, okay, outside of the events you're doing, you know, just a regular wrestling, you know, AEW or WWE or TNA or one of these other organizations, Ring of Honor or Independence, the Independence. I think one of the best ways to be a witness, an ambassador for Christ, is just to live it. To live it, to be in that dressing room, you know, and let's just say you're not. cussing up a storm and you know dropping you know bombs you know Here, there, and everywhere.

But, you know, they may notice that, man, that dude doesn't cuss. That dude doesn't get. You know, over the top upset, you know, when this went wrong in the ring or whatever. And so that's just, so what I'm saying is to be salt and light. You know, just live it out.

You know, not carry a Bible under your arm and thump them over the head with scriptures, but just be a witness to them by how you're living and conducting yourself in those dressing rooms. And then if you see an opportunity, You know, to share a little bit of your story or a little bit of your testimony, you know, with a guy or you know he's going through something, you know, maybe struggling with drugs or drinking or just trouble at home and his marriage or whatever it is, is to speak an encouraging word or something as simple, Marty, as saying, man, can I pray for you? Can I pray for you? And many times that can ultimately lead to them giving their life to Christ. Right, right.

We've got to keep it simple. I think it's not we overthink these things sometimes. That is exactly right. Keep it simple. Keep it simple.

So, no, great questions. Got time for one more if you got it. I got one more.

So, let's go outside of wrestling. Let's go outside of ministry. What does Nikia Koloff enjoy doing with his time? Again, not wrestling, not ministry related. What is on a fun off night?

What does McGiddo go off do? It's really good.

Well, weightlifting and working out and go to the gym most of the time, I can't say 100% every day, is still enjoyment for me. Believe it or not, it's still enjoyment. I'm not a big avid golfer, but I play in a couple of tournaments. I've got a buddy up in Asheville, North Carolina. I've played in his tournaments 20-plus years, Bill Murdoch, up there for.

Headlock on hunger for his organization and getting food and money, just for Western North Carolina. Of course, they were hit devastated by the floods. And so there was a lot of work and a lot of money Bill needed to sew back into, pour back into that community. Kevin Sorbo, actor Kevin Sorbo, I've played in his golf tournaments and many others. Brad Johnson, who won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Bucks, and an old-timer by the name of Roman Gabriel over the years, I played in a lot of his tournaments.

Al Wood, who played for the Atlanta Hawks and University of North Carolina, played in some of his tournaments.

So golf. Weightlifting. And last but not least, I enjoy traveling. I really enjoy seeing the world and all of God's creation. And I've had some really really unique opportunities.

I saw the Grand Canyon in a full-blown blizzard. the first time I ever saw it. It was thirty two degrees and snow covered at the top, and it was seventy two degrees at the bottom and was not snow covered. Yes, and I've been on the the fastest train on the planet, you know, over in Japan. at the time and the silver bullet, I I think is they call it.

But just seeing some I got to fi fly a $43 million helicopter simulator for part of the US Army in South Korea when I was over there with the Road Warriors ministering on all the Army bases. That was an incredible experience. Fly like I literally took off autopilot. I literally was in control. of that as if I was flying an actual Chopper, and that was an incredible experience.

And so to summarize, So far 36 different countries All 50 states. And, you know, I've got a few more on my list that I would like to one day see, and we'll see as things unfold.

So, great, great question. Very unique question. Good job, Marty. Good job. Good.

Thank you, buddy.

So, well, Marty Miller, I want to encourage you again, go get a copy of his book, Wrestling with Faith, 21-day Devotional.
