Great to have you with me. Thanks so much for being here. I know you have a choice of where you can listen each and every day and I thank you for keeping it tuned here to Chosen Generation Radio.

I've got a great program lined up for you today. Gary Binford will be with me coming up top of next or top of this coming hour. He is United Patriots Uprising. We'll talk about the invasion of Marxism here in America. Jason Rantz joins us. We'll talk about the rise in anti-Semitism but specifically on the left. And there's some other things too that I'm hopefully going to be able to have a conversation with Jason about relative to that. So it's going to be good. It's going to be insightful, I think.

I think you'll get some good insight out of it. Don Jans is with us. We are battling the probably at this point the greatest evil or release of evil in our world's history right now.

I really truly believe that to be the case and we'll talk about that. And then Jay Bieber, Director of Policy Research at National Motorist Association. And we'll talk about Agenda 2030. Wake up America. Agenda 2030 is happening, is being pushed in your streets.

They're calling it by a variety of different names including Vision Zero. But it's really all about controlling every single aspect of your life. Well, I'm very pleased to do this. And we're getting a little bit of a late start. Very rough, very, very, very, very rough night last night. Just, you know, I think part of it is I am pressing in a great deal with regards to what's happening in Israel and praying and warring in the realm of the spirit. And so I think a great deal of it has to do with that. And there's a battle going on and if you're not engaged in that battle, we will be held accountable. We have been given armor. We've been given the helmet of salvation. We've been given the breastplate of righteousness. We've been told to gird our loins with truth and shot our feet with the preparation of the gospel. We've been given a shield of faith and a sword of the spirit. And we are going to be responsible for using those things.

I think there really is no question to that. Now, the wonderful thing is that Christ has won the victory for us. But if we're not willing to walk in what he's done for us and appropriate that into our lives, then we lose. And part of the appropriation of that is the impact that we have in the community around us, but not just the community.

I'm talking about in your home, in your house, wherever you reach, you know, however the Lord might be using you. If there's anything I can tell you about my own personal example, you know, when I started back on the program, it was three months after the accident. And all I could do was pick up the phone. And I thank God that I had Jason Ratkowski and Justin Ratkowski. No, Jason Ratkowski. For some reason, Tim, we're gonna have to work on this. My recall for some reason, I'm having minor, and I think I told you as we were coming in, and by the way, Tim Shuff is with us. Tim, welcome. Good to have you.

Cgrwellness.com. But you know, it's just lack of sleep. I mean, at the end of the day, that's all it is. It's that I'm not getting more than about three or four hours a night of sleep. And when you're only getting three or four hours a night of sleep, everything's not going to work the way that it's designed to work.

All the chemicals in your brain don't wash through. Everything doesn't happen. So you're going to have some challenges. At any rate, I was blessed to have a gentleman who stepped up and helped me with the production of the producer side of things and making the phone calls and getting the guests on. But all I could do was, you know, get out of bed, get into my wheelchair and roll up to a to a microphone or drive up to a desk eventually up to a microphone. You can do something. But your health plays a huge role in what you're able to do. And you have to focus on what you're putting in so that you can get the best out. And quite frankly, if I wasn't doing what I'm doing nutritionally and through the things that I talked to you about here with CGR Wellness and so forth, I can't even imagine what I'd be able to accomplish. It would be pretty much nothing, Tim, I think.

Well, that may be very possible. I will tell you for the nights you had, you know, you look pretty good. You got really good color and that kind of thing. Plenty of hair.

You look good. But, you know, three hours of sleep is not going to cut it with anybody. It's just not enough. And, you know, what do you think? You know, is it you toss and turn or is it you just can't get to sleep? Because there's various, you know, reasons why a person doesn't get good rest. I know, you know, I wasn't really going to talk about sleep since you brought it up.

I think it's a topic that we need to address a little bit and then we may get into our respiratory program that we're going to talk about today. But on your case, what's the deal with your sleep? So for me, the biggest thing is because of how disconnected my nervous system is, I just I have a very I mean, my situation is not normal by any stretch of the imagination. And I have nerve disconnect.

So when I finally, you know, when I get into bed, it takes my body a while for for the for my nervous system to settle down and stop firing. And and in particular in the area of my legs because of the of the extreme amount of damage, you know, I mean, my left leg, I broke the pelvis, the hip, the femur, the tibia and the fibula. Nerve damage, the foot is numb, but there's numbness all over the place. But you know, I mean, and and and folks that that's my good leg. And then on the right side, there was the harvesting of the artery out of my inner thigh, and the saving of my lower leg and the crushing of the knee and the crushing of the tibia and the severing of all the nerves and the severing of the main artery.

And the double fasciotomy, which still leaves a big old scar that's probably about three inches wide on my on my calf. So, so it's the nerves Tim, more than anything, it's the nerves and it just takes, it seems to take time for that to all settle. So if I go to bed, if I can get everything else situated, and then get into bed by no later than seven or eight o'clock, then I can manage and I end up getting more like about five or six hours of sleep.

But then the other piece is, and I think this happens to a lot of guys is, you know, it feels like I got to jump up about every hour initially for the first couple of hours and go into the restroom. Well, you bring up a couple of good points here that's going to affect everybody and you're an aging man, you for over 60 now, right? It's 61. Yeah, you're 61.

So you're like everybody else. I mean, and you're kind of even though with all the injuries that you sustain and so forth, you're into what we call sympathetic dominance, meaning you have to you have two parts of the nervous system that everybody has you got a sympathetic and a parasympathetic. Now the sympathetic is a go, go, go, go, go all the time, which actually can lead to sympathetic exhaustion, which will take you over into a depletion of a lot of your minerals. It'll actually cause you not to be able to rest.

It'll go over into adrenal exhaustion. Now, before I go too much farther, I want to tell folks that we're not here to treat diagnose. We're only here to educate you.

So the content you're getting today is just for educational purposes only. We're not using this information is not designed to diagnose or treat an illness. So if you have a medical condition, see your doctor. So with that being said, we go back to the parasympathetic and the sympathetic nervous system that actually controls a lot of what we do. Now you get all stressed out and so forth. You're going to have trouble going to sleep and we have, and you're just going to lay there. Your mind keeps racing.

You just can't shut it down. And if you wake up in the middle of the night, that's when the adrenals are affected. And that's part of the adrenal exhaustion cascade where you wake up in the middle of the night, the adrenals need to be supported. So, and as we get older, our bodies don't make enough of the hormone melatonin. You know, I think we talked about it on a show earlier that your most melatonin that the body produces at five years of age and it goes down since that.

So you've got all these factors going on and then add in an aging male prostate causing you maybe possibly to have to get up multiple times of the night. And boy, I'll tell you, those are, those are very wonderful nights. Well, I can, I know that I have a sleep issue from time to time myself, you know, I mean, I may be woken up with, Hey, Tim, I got a problem.

I'm still taking care of my dad. You know, you never know when that call is going to come. And it's a pretty loud call. I got a problem, you know, it's like, I got to get up and I'm in a really deep sleep, you know, and I got to get up and see what the problem is. And then, you know, I may or may not be able to get back to sleep.

Sure. But those are those are nights, you know, but we do what we do for our loved ones, because we love well, and the good news is, is, is, you know, again, and I'm not trying to, you know, over amplify my own thing. And I'm glad for you to mention what you did about the different nervous systems and how those different things react, because there's a there's a there's a big role to play with regards to that. And for us to understand that about ourselves, so that that way we have a means and what we're talking about here, folks is is an ability for you, you know, to mitigate your situation, and and to navigate so that you can get that better night's rest. And it really plays into and I know we're only gonna about 10 minutes to talk about this, but it really plays into these other aspects as well, because every part of your every part of your body is is is interconnected. And so you know, the the we're going to talk about about breathing. If you're not if you're not breathing correctly, if your rhythm is off in your in your breathing, that that's going to impact your your sleep, because your body is not going to be able to relax because it's going to jolt you back awake, right? To grab that breath.

You're right. And I don't know if we really got time to get started in the breathing thing or not. But I do want to allude to, you know, we talked about the sleep thing. And this sleep product is a very effective product that you don't have to wait for results. I have I do a lot of people I deal with some Amish folks.

And you know, I had somebody come to me, she was Amish, and she was talking to me about another practitioner she had been to. We talked about just your general wellness. And I think the insight that you gave on the... And talk about the two nervous system. You got a parasympathetic nervous system, which is a break. The body has to be slowed down.
