Very, very, very, very special top of the next hour. Coach Joe Kennedy will be with us if you've been following what's been going on. Well, if you're aware of the persecution that's happening to Christians across the country, then you have to be aware of what happened to Coach Joe Kennedy, who was fired from Bremerton High School for taking a knee at the 50 yard line after the game was over. And it all really was started because the opposing coach paid a compliment to the principal of Bremerton High School about the behavior and the sportsmanship of the young men playing for Coach Joe Kennedy and noting that they would come out to the 50 yard line after the game, including some of his own players that went and took a knee and prayed together. And how impressive he thought that was. And the principal's reaction to that was, oh, no, we need to reprimand Coach Joe and tell him he can't do that anymore. Something he'd been doing for years, by the way. And ultimately fired him and it went all the way to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court just recently passed a decision in his favor.

And there's a lot to unpack when it comes to that situation, especially how Christians need to be speaking out on these kinds of issues. Let's see. What else do we have coming up? Don Jams will be with us. We'll talk communism. And Scott Powell will be with us, who is just a tremendous historian talking about the founding of our nation, how it was started.

America was never supposed to look like this. And we'll talk with Scott about that coming up in hour number three. But I'm very excited to be doing this series here on Friday mornings. And we are talking about your health and talking about how important good health is.

And I can't think of anybody's health to talk about that's more significant than the health of our own children. And helping us to do that is my CGR wellness guru, Wiz, 40 year veteran, Tim Sheff. So lean back so we get more of your face in the light. There we go. All right. Good enough.

OK, well, here we go. Well, I want to talk to you today about kids health and what we can do to prepare our kids to go back to school. Most of those kids in my area are already back into school and they're in that routine.

So we want to prepare them to be as successful as possible with overall health. One of the things that I've looked up this week is I'm looking up different kids health topics. I've listened to Mark Hyman and he is a renowned medical doctor out of the Cleveland Clinic and he talks about the obesity rate and that affects children as well as adults. But really, as you look around America, you're seeing more and more kids be obese early. And if you look at the foods that they're eating, you could tell why. Now, back in the early 60s, he was saying that there's only 5 percent of the states had an obesity problem or 5 percent of the people.

He said about the base was 5 percent in the early 60s in some states, and now it's clear up to 40 percent. So 40 percent is a pretty high number in most states to have an obesity rate. And as we move on in life, this transfers into our adult life that we carry more weight than we should and we end up with overall health problems. So really, what we eat does matter. The type of foods we choose goes back to that sowing and reaping principle we got there in the scripture that where if we sow good fruit, we're going to reap good fruit. If we sow bad fruit, we're going to reap bad fruit. So now we're finding about six out of ten people will have a chronic illness and four out of ten people will have two or more chronic illnesses.

And when I mean chronic illnesses, I'm talking about diabetes, cancer, dementia, Alzheimer's, heart disease, and what we talk about here in America. So it's very important to watch not only take supplements that you're finding at cgrwellness.com, but to be able to have a healthy diet and try to avoid some of the pitfalls that are out there that we all run into from time to time. So foods in this country are a lot of times made differently than they are in other countries. And it's really all about the ingredients. And I want to take just a little bit of time here today to go over three common foods, items that we have on our shelves that, you know, I think mostly pertain to kids. I don't know how many adults eat Froot Loops, but I'm sure there's probably a few of them out there.

And that's one of the things I want to start with. And I got some of this information off the Internet from Doug and Stacy. They're kind of a couple that do a lot of investigation into a natural way type living. And they were talking about the Froot Loops situation and what that particular product was. So I did a little research myself and found out that, you know, Froot Loops is something that I really wouldn't want to put in my body because it's more or less a chemical cocktail.

It contains a lot of inorganic synthetic type material that affects our body. One of the things that we find in that particular product is it has a lot of high sugar. And when you have a child and you're sending them off to school and you give them a high sugar diet, they're going to go into school and they're going to be maybe okay for the first hour. But after that, they're going to go into a crash. So they're not going to be able to think very well.

And it's kind of like they're in a daze. And that sugar just hypes them up and it drops them down. The other problem that we have with this type of a product is they have a lot of coloring. And you've seen Froot Loops are all different colors. So they have a lot of red dye in them. They have blue dye in it.

They got yellow dye number five, blue dye number one. And all those are petroleum based. So any petroleum based product, you're going to find that you're going to end up having linked to those diseases that we don't want to have in our children.

But also those dyes cause hyperactivity in the child as well as allergies over a period of time. Now, they might be able to get by with the Froot Loops a little bit, but you just can't have that as a steady diet. So, Tim, what do they need to have instead of that? We got the message here that Froot Loops is not good. And I think we're way down in the weeds when it comes to all the stuff that's in there that most people don't know about. The bottom line is, is with your 40 years of experience, we understand that Froot Loops is bad. We got that. So what is it that we need to be taking instead of that?

What's the alternative? Well, they can start off with a whole grain if they want to. And there's different things out of the market they get. But my recommendation for what they want to do to lay a foundational wellness is the same with kids as it is with adults. They can get what they call the Kids Pack from CGR Wellness. Did I hear that correctly? Correct. Yeah, I started around four years of age. Okay. And at that point, at what point is the break off to move to the adult Vibe?

I would say 13 to 14. They could probably do like a tablespoon of the adult Vibe at that time. Okay. So essentially at, you know, the early teenage years, you're going to make that shift.

Right. And the only difference really in the children's Vibe, like I said, is formulated for kids. And basically you've got, you don't have the green tea in the Kids Vibe and you don't have it close to me. The green tea is more for the adults. I mean, it does give energy. Green tea does. And the kids really running around don't need much more energy.

And then they don't really need the joint support. So that's why those two items are taken out of that particular product. Okay.

All right. So what else? And what else do you recommend for the kids?

What else comes in that kids pack? Well, you're going to get a probiotic. And we've talked a lot about probiotics already on your show. But the probiotics are basically, it's a prebiotic and a probiotic together. Now, the probiotic is for gut health and with the immune challenges that are out there with everything from the colds, the flus and the other things that are out there, you really want to concentrate on gut health. But as far as in the kid's kit, right now it eludes me if that's in that particular product or not.

It very well could be. Would that be something that you would recommend that parents consider getting as an additional purchase? And if so, what might you recommend the dosage be? So meaning it slows down the process of it taking off and getting from a small fire inside your body into a towering inferno very quickly.

It slows the process down. But I really do think that's a very important part is to be able to make sure that the body does have zinc in it. Now I take zinc myself on a regular basis and I find it very effective against any of the predators out there. Yeah, I'm a zinc taker myself and it's actually part of the protocols that are out there as far as what people recommend that you take for battling any of these SARS viruses or what have you. They highly recommend that you are somehow engaged in taking some form of zinc on a daily basis that it really makes a difference. Yeah, and we have a liquid zinc too. Happy Friday, everybody. There we go. Absolutely. Well, you know, we talked about kids' health. I just wanted to briefly get in something about quality.

We'll circle back around to the quality question, not in this segment but in the following segment. But I thought what we also should talk about when it comes to kids' health and, you know, it's going to be that season again. I just walked into a crowd of people. I spent the next three weeks in jail. They put me in a cell by myself. Total solitary confinement in a cell not much bigger than a walk in closet. FBI guns drawn.
