From Hia Tom Fox News Headquarters in New York City, always seeking solutions, never sowing division. It's Brian Kilmead. Hi, everyone. Hope you had a fantastic weekend. We're back in action today, and man, we are definitely on Trump time.
There is so much going on, so many things flying around, executive orders coming through, visits, congressional meetings, and of course, nominations, confirmations. We'll have it all. Side note: Elon Musk will be busy outside the White House. SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch another batch of Starlink mini satellites out there.
So let's see. He's got the rockets. He's got the satellites. What could go wrong? I mean, he's got this whole thing locked up.
No wonder he's the richest guy in the world. The GOP is issuing a conference right now at Doral. Trump really knows how to lock this thing up. They're going to talk about the houses anyway, how to get on the same page with such a slim majority. And there's a lot of people, Lone Rangers, out there that want to do their own thing.
Trump's going to be there today, too. They're going to have a presser around five o'clock. Burgess Owens at the bottom of the hour. He's going to be there. He's going to be there in Doral.
He might be there already.
So let's get to the big three.
Now, with the stories you need to know, it's Brian's big three. Number three. They are saying. They will not be allowed to start for 18 months. No, that will not be the case.
Okay, I just hope it will not. You can hold me to it. This poor group said that. No. Because I looked, I mean, you have a very powerful emergency power, and you can do everything within 24 hours.
And you know what? She doesn't do it. I love that Trump called out that terrible Mayor Bass to her face in front of the people. Trump brawling with FEMA and feeble Democratic leaders like Bass, who are not stepping up to meet the demands of the city in crisis because of the fires, especially in Los Angeles. We bring back the throwdown with Mayor Bass and what the president is doing to override her incompetence.
Number two. But ICE officers should have discretion to decide if a national security threat or a public safety threat's in one of these facilities, then there should be an option of them to make the arrest. That is Tom Holman, border and immigration man, Chicago, New York, Aurora, Colorado, three main cities with massive raids on illegal alien criminals. As them show they are wary about standing in his way. and Tom Holman has a warning for Congress.
Number President Trump is implementing this historic slate of reforms all across the U.S. government with a simple but remarkable message: the American people are in control of their government again. They elected Donald Trump, and Donald Trump is implementing his mandate. Yes, he is. Trump 100 days, talk about 100 hours, massive action in week one.
We look at it all and preview a critical week in this nomination confirmation fight for the Trump cabinet. Give you an idea of how quick things are happening. Today I get up and I'm up at 2:30. You know, I'm studying by 3 a.m., you know, out the door. And I'm finding, so all of a sudden I get a message.
Embargo till 6 o'clock. Trump decides to reinstate 8,000 military personnel who were told to quit or get the vaccine and they quit. Remember, they didn't honor the religious mandate. They just said get out.
Meanwhile, we're missing, we're missing all these marks on recruiting. It doesn't matter. They kicked him out anyway. They're off by about 45,000 recruits a year in almost every branch. And I wonder how many people didn't join because, well, listen, if they're going to mandate this vaccine, I don't want it.
And if they're going to mandate other things, I'm not going to take it. I might as well not even join. But no one ever heard Joe Biden ever mention anything about the rewards of joining the military, the concern he has for not missing their marks. He never brought it up. Trump said, You come back now, an executive order passed two hours ago.
You come back now, I will reinstate you at the rank you were and all the back pay you missed. How could you possibly go wrong? And that, to me, is emblematic of the Trump pace of things. Look, thirteen inspected generals were fired over the weekend. You know, he's supposed to give a hundred days.
Let's see what happens. Threatens Colombia for not taking back illegals. And they say, Well, we're going to threaten you back. We're going to give you a tariff. And then they finally just cave 10 minutes later.
They are now taking back their illegals. Clared a state of emergency of the border. 1,500 military are now reporting for duty down there. We just had about 700 people on a massive border this big. 700.
That was by, we were like looking at 5,000 to 7,000 to 10,000 a day. But the word is out that Trump is sealing the border, arresting the criminals. And I love it. There's a lot of people not coming that we're going to. Caravans will never get together.
It's not going to be worth it. And there's people that are going to self-deport rather than be ripped out. The guy is on the move. He's challenging all of you to keep up. I thought Stephen A.
Smith was on uh Stephen A. Smith was on Bill Moore over the weekend. And I just think that he just sat there and he voted for Kamala Harris. And he just sat there and he said. You guys still don't get it.
And Bill Maher gets it, and Stephen A. Smith gets it. They're both, to me, I think they seem like Democrats. Bill Maher certainly is. But they don't get what Trump is doing and why it works.
Cut five.
So, Kamala Harris, who didn't resonate during the primaries in 2020, couldn't even get to Iowa, suddenly is the Democratic nominee. And then y'all go, then you roll up at the Chicago, at the convention in Chicago, and everybody's like, she's a rock star.
So it was like, wait a minute, how that happened? How that happened? I don't know.
So you're looking at all of those things and you're saying, yes, I voted for her. A lot of people voted for her. But in the end, we end up feeling like damn fools because we supported it. We fell for the okie-doke, as they say. You know she did.
If you had a primary, the likelihood is that she would not have been the Democratic nominee. And because you pick you hand picked. Hillary Clinton and made sure that Bernie Sanders didn't win. Then you handpicked Joe Biden. And then Joe Biden hemmed, think about this.
Joe Biden hems himself in by saying: if you elect me, I'm going to get a woman nominee.
Okay, instead of the best person that I can work with best, woman nominee, all right, then it's got to be a woman of color. with experience.
So we're narrowed down to like three people. Karen Bass. An abomination. Uh Val Demings Perhaps lost a senate race, or Kamal Harris, who he doesn't even like.
So now, think about this. Joe Biden's 100 years old. He's failing in office. Instead of saying, hey, you know what, I'm going to turn it over to a younger, more promising Governor Shapiro, Governor Bashir, Amy Klobucher, whoever you want. You know, whatever you think.
Instead, you're stuck with somebody who's totally inept, cannot speak, has no sense of what a policy is, no conviction, and no resume, and no success story.
So now the party is stuck with an 82-year-old nominee who bows out. Because he epically failed and you covered for him, turns it over to a running mate who's not qualified, and then they lose, and Donald Trump is back. That's all you're doing. These are all the decisions of a Democratic Party, and people are sick of it. And they look at what's happening with Trump now, and instead of criticizing him last time, they can't even figure out why he's popular this time.
And just to close out what Stephen A. Smith said a little bit later, and they did the impossible. And I saw Megan McCain tweeted this out on Friday. She said, never in my life, and I'll just paraphrase, did I ever think as a Republican who was always ostracized, never in my life did I ever think it would be cool to be a Republican. And for the first time It is.
Here's cut six. Here's how bad the Democrats f ⁇ ed up. Trump is cool now. He's not just the most powerful guy in the world and just made himself like the richest. He's actually kind of at 78.
Celebrities all over the place from Hollywood, from LA to New York, would talk to him. And they all loved him until he ran for office.
So then, when they talked about him, the way that they talked about him, They were like, you didn't feel that way about him before. What changed? And they asked so a lot of people asked themselves that question and they weren't satisfied with the answers that Dems gave them. Yeah. And basically, he said this guy used to be a celebrity going to games with Bill O'Reilly, hanging out with the Knicks, and they all liked him.
And then he ran for became a Republican. They all divorced him. But now, fundamentally, they're back to liking him again. And Trump is saying, All right, I'll bury the hatchet, but I won't forget.
So, the one thing I don't agree with Trump on, I'll tell you in a moment we get back. And it's what he did with the Secret Service and people that need protection. But just to talk about what he's doing. Today at this hour, he unleashed Tom Holman, who in a very organized way is scooping up a lot of these gangsters, going into these complexes and ripping them out.
Now what people are saying is, why is he going into schools? Why is he going into high schools? and they act like they got you here. Why are you going into high schools?
Well, why are you going into high schools? Did you see the age of the guys that beat down those two cops a year ago in the street? There were 17 and 19. Do you know that in working-class areas they're dumping these teenagers into high school who are lying about their age sometimes? And they go in there and they go to school, they don't even speak English.
But they try to get other gangsters to join their gangs in working-class areas, a lot of times, single-parent families with very little supervision. And they're in high schools. And the best thing you could possibly do outside of ripping them out of these communities, we rip them out of high schools. These kids used to get off buses in Brentonwood, Long Island. And I went and did the story.
With the gang unit, and they used to sprint as fast as they can home because they would get beat up and shaken down for whatever little money they had in their pockets by their high school classmates who weren't bullies. They were international gangsters who oftentimes would go and work in a car wash or whatever right after school, use that money to buy drugs and start their careers.
So it's going to be. Very interesting to run down Trump this time. You go pick your spots, but by the time you start digging in on one issue, he's moved on to four or five others.
So, and now he's beginning to staff up. He's got Pete Hegseth in place. He's got Marco Rubio in place. Today he's going to get a Treasury Secretary Scott Besant in place. He's got Christine Ohm at HHS.
This week he's going to get Cash Patel out there as in a hearing. He's going to get Pam Bondi as Attorney General.
So he's a one-man machine. But now he's going to have competent people with a similar vision who he could actually go golfing and doesn't have to worry about getting stabbed in the back. Which is going to be a big relief for him. I'm not saying he's playing the perfect game, but he's playing like a guy who wants to lead. And he was willing to have the debate.
And we haven't even talked about what he's doing overseas and what he how he brought up casually. I think it's time for Jordan and Egypt to take the Palestinians so we can go fix up Gaza and see if they want to come back or not.
Well, that's interesting. It just rocked the whole Middle East. But the President of the United States just said, I was just thinking about it today. How can we fix the place up if you're going to stick around in Gaza? But we do get four more, we're supposed to get four more hostages out today, excuse me, by Thursday this week.
It could happen any day. And they've extended the ceasefire in Lebanon for another few days or another few weeks because. They don't feel they can get out yet. They feel there's too much of a Hezbollah presence. All right, you listen to the Brian Kill Me Joe.
We're going to come back. We'll be able to get some calls at some time this hour.
So line up, 1866-408-7669. Pete Hagseth is now taking questions outside the Pentagon right now as he gets his get set to serve his first day. Uh, in Washington. Don't move. We'll bring some of that back.
Politics, current events, and news that affects you. Brian's got a lot more to say. Stay with Brian Kilmead. Fox News Audio presents the Fox Nation Investigates podcast. The Budden Files.
A person's final story can be told through their bodies in an autopsy. World-renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Botten covers three incredible cases where he helped change the course of the investigation.
Sometimes it takes more than one look to put the pieces together. Listen and follow at FoxtrueCrime.com or wherever you get your favorite podcasts. A talk show that's real. This is the Brian Kill Me Show. Hey, welcome back, everybody.
We're going to be talking to Burgess Owens from Miami, the place of the Durow Country Club, where he is meeting with other Republicans now to try to get their act together and try to come up with a type of deal, whether it's a massive deal, one-stop shopping of tax reform, oil and gas exploration, as well as defense increases. Or you just do one by one. A lot of people want more than one. And uh A lot of people don't feel as though they could get all this passed one by one. The Senate wants to do it little by little, and the House doesn't feel as though they have that luxury.
Burgess Owens on that.
So Pete Hakesett started day one as Secretary of Defense. He was met by C.Q. Brown, the Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair, and he decided to take some questions. I get the sense that Pete's going to be taking a lot of questions as Secretary of Defense regularly, and I think it's going to be a welcome. It's going to be welcome from the whole department, all the reporters that never saw Lloyd Austin, watched him disappear for weeks, and found out he was in the hospital later.
And nobody was ever held accountable for covering up for him for that. And is that going to be a situation where the Secretary of Defense can disappear and the president not ask where he is? But that's how detached past president was. Nine cabinet meetings in four years.
So here's what Pete said to the press. He made his statement, then he opened up for questions. And today, there are more executive orders coming that we fully support on removing DEI inside the Pentagon, reinstating troops who were pushed out because of COVID mandates, Iron Dome for America. This is happening quickly. And as the Secretary of Defense, it's an honor to salute smartly, as I did as a junior officer, and now as the Secretary of Defense, to ensure these orders are complied with rapidly.
and quickly. Every moment that I'm here, I'm thinking about the guys and gals. In Guam. Uh in Germany And Fort Benning and Fort Bragg. on missile defense sites and aircraft carriers.
Our job is lethality and readiness and warfighting. We're going to hold people accountable. I know the chairman agrees with that. The lawful orders of the President of the United States will be executed inside this Defense Department swiftly and without excuse. They took a few questions after.
It was pretty cool. I mean, he's off to a good start. And now, those days of answering questions about to try to embarrass him and diminish him are over. I look for him to be extremely aggressive from here on in.
Now, President Trump said all NATO members should be paying 5% of their GDP on defense. We're only paying like 3%.
So I would love to up that, but up it smartly. And I think they have to revisit, along with Doge, what's happening at the Pentagon. They also said they're going to get through an audit to find out where all this money is going.
So I think that's going to be important too.
So peach through, done. Bessett's going to be through sometime during our show. Done. And then they're going to have RFK, Cash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard. These are going to be the three that's going to be relatively challenging to pass.
Challenging doesn't mean it's impossible. I think that there's a Uh there's a sense that With the nominations and the confirmations, the people are trying to get one from Trump. They were not able to knock Pete Hagseth out. The tie was broken by the Vice President of the United States. But when you have Tulsi Gabbard, evidently, she had not win a lot of people over in one-on-one meetings.
I'm sure she's going to be very composed and calculated in front of people. There's no doubt about it. J.D. Vance talked about why Pete is perfect for this job and why he's going to be perfect for this administration. Cut 16.
Well, look, I think Pete is a disruptor, and a lot of people don't like that disruption. But, Margaret, that disruption is incredibly necessary. If you think about all of those bipartisan, massive votes, we have to ask ourselves what did they get us? They got us a country where we fought many wars over the last 40 years but haven't won a war. About as long as I've been alive.
They've got us a military with a major recruitment crisis, a procurement crisis that's totally dysfunctional, where we buy airplanes for billions and billions of dollars, terrible cost overruns, the delivery dates are always delayed.
So we need a big change.
Now, admittedly, there are people who don't like that big change, but it is necessary and it's explicitly what Donald J. Trump ran on. And I think part of the reason why the American people elected him their 47th president. And that's what I think he's going to like about RFK. But I also have gotten good sources, it says the chief of staff.
Susie Wiles will make sure RFK's ideas get put forward in a practical way. You can't disrupt all of health. What I think is also interesting. Is Rafka is going to come out and he's not going to say. I'm against vaccines.
He's not going to say. Uh He's not going to say. That everybody's corrupt, like he's indicated. Out in the stump. What he's going to do is point to studies.
Say, stop saying studies show this vaccine and this vaccine has no detrimental values. Look into who did the study, when that study was done, how it was done, who funded the study. And then, if you it's a credible study that can stand up to the science and the test, that's one thing. But what about the study? That you look at, and it's built out of paper-mâché.
We had his former chief of staff when he was trying for re-election said the key was when he found out as a journalist that a lot of these studies and a lot of these beliefs that are out there are built on a house of cards, there's nothing behind them. The other thing to keep in mind, too. Is that that 1986 law that passed that says You can't sue. A radio show like no other. It's Brian Killmeade.
If you're in a country legally, you're on the tape. Because it's not okay to violate laws of this country. You've got to remember, every time you enter this country illegally, You violated a crime under Title VIII, United States Code 1325. It's a crime.
So if you're in a country legally, you've got a problem. And that's why I'm hoping those who are in the country legally who have not been ordered removed by the federal judge should leave. Just leave so he doesn't have to toss you out and cost a lot of money. What he's done is pretty amazing so far in illegal immigration. I'm talking about Tom Holman.
He went and got every day that he gets one of these illegal alien criminals off the streets. It makes all of us safer. Arrests, 1,417 as of Sunday morning. Detainers Lodge, 1,243. Pretty impressive.
This is between January 23rd and January 25. In terms of the message being sent, on january 19th, there were 1,354 people tried to cross. And then it was up to 1,073.
Now it's down to 714 with 956 arrests of people, of convicted criminals, and 554 detainers lodged.
So this is an administration that is motivated to get the illegals out of our country. And over 58% of the country on most surveys show that they are all for mass deportation. Congressman Burgess Owens is down with the rest of the House, Republican House members, trying to plot and plan a course that gets them all on the same page for this upcoming year with a very slim majority until at least April when Elise Stevonik. When Michael Waltz and Matt Gates get their seats filled, Congressman Owens, welcome back. Brian, looking forward to chatting with you, my friend.
Very, very exciting times. What about the start of the border? What is the buzz around that?
Well, you know what? We've been talking about what merit looks like. This is what America expects. We have people that work hard. We have results.
And I'm so excited by the fact we're finally addressing something that we all know has been an issue for a long time. We want safety. That's the only way our country works.
So not unexpected. I guess the key is how fast the President Trump is actually getting this thing done with. It is light and speed. It is so exciting to see this happening. And every single day you wake up and you just know it's coming at you, some more things he's doing.
So I'm excited about it, and we're going to be doing everything we can to make sure this stays solid and continue to stay the way it is. All right, a couple of things. Tom Holman also indicated he needs money. Listen to him with Martha Radditz yesterday, CUT 27. I noticed you didn't put in that list of things that will be mission accomplished and success.
Getting every immigrant who is in the country illegally. Out. Why not? I'm being realistic. We can do what we can with the money we have.
We're going to try to be efficient, but with the more money we have, the more we can accomplish it. If I don't have the money to remove that million people, I'm not going to sit here and one thing, no one can say I haven't been frank in everything I've said. Our success Every day is taking a public safety threat off the streets or getting a national security threat out of here.
So he said, this stuff isn't free. You know, these raids, they take a lot of time, a lot of man hours, a lot of transportation. Then you've got to fly them out through military aircraft. Then you got to get them back in their location. And then you got beds to buy, and excuse me, beds to make, and you got to have these side of facilities to construct.
So, where does that rank on things you're going to be discussing? These are number one. If we don't have a safe country, we don't have a nation. We don't have the ability to do what we do as a nation.
So this is top priority. There's certain things that we have to make sure it happens. We'll figure out a way. And good things we have a president who understands this process. He understands how to create more revenue.
But when it comes down to the sovereignty of our country, just like we're going to talk about the Iron Dome at some point, there is a high price for this, but it's a price worth it. This is an investment.
So we're going to make sure that we continue to make the investment. We have, thank goodness, a president who's a business-minded person that knows how, and in Congress, that's actually willing to back him up. And I'll say this, Brian: what we have right now is something I don't think we've seen in a lifetime, and that is we have a president who's American first.
Well, the last three terms, American people put America first. Congressman in order. We're going to work together with a team, like no other team that we've seen in our lifetime to make sure that the right things are done in the right order.
So, yes, when it comes down to making sure this happens, we will prioritize it. We have to figure out how to get done over the next few months. Yeah, I mean, it's going to be interesting because you guys have the slimmest majority in history. It's a bigger, they have a bigger one in the Senate.
So, how are you going to deal with that when you have a Tom Massey and others who have often said, or Chip Roy? And I'm not saying they're bad guys, but they want to do their own thing. And it doesn't seem like they want to compromise. Let me say, I've had experiences before, and for those who remember Al Davis, something that Al Davis had, he had a first of all, a culture of winning, period. He had a culture of culture of loyalty.
And what he was able to do is do a couple things. Not only have respect because of a culture he put together and people wanted to be there and be part of it, but also this fear factor. No one wanted to get on the wrong side of Al Davis. And therefore, we were able to actually, no matter how different our personalities were, we stepped out from the field. We were just going to win, baby.
That's what the culture was. President Trump is very unique in the way that. He demands respect, he demands loyalty, and I tell you what, right now he has a mandate. And everyone knows that this is our time to work together. And I feel very, very confident once we get past this, we'll have something called muscle memory.
With this small majority, we'll learn how to give a little bit, to have the strategic mentality to get to the next phase. And with that mentality, once we get a bigger majority, that muscle memory will make us even more effective.
So this is a remarkable opportunity for us at this point, Brian, to really understand that we don't get everything we want. But it is to continue to help our country and our party continue to grow by winning one month, one legislative process at a time, and we're going to get it done. Yeah, I mean, it's gotta, I mean, I know you want to get it done, but if one guy says I will not pay for any CR, I will not vote for any CR. And or I won't vote for anything that's going to be a that's spending. When you don't really have that, that's coming up in March.
How are you going to deal with March? But the the difference the difference is this We've never had a President Trump as the head of our party before. There's a respect that comes from him and the fact that the American people are giving him a mandate. He's coming into this process with, I guess, I keep saying respect, but there's a power behind it. There's a vision he has.
There's an expectation American people have. And this is not the time that any of us as Republicans are going to get on the wrong side of this. We know what the expectations are. We have to win. If we're going to continue to build our party, get our country back, prove to the American people that our values are the values of America.
This has to be done. And we have to do it within a short period of time.
So the fact that we're meeting with him today, this is what he does. He's pulled together different fancies of our party. And by the way, being Republicans, that's kind of what comes with the territory. I listened to a conversation I had earlier. We're kind of free-range chickens in a sense.
We're not collectives. We believe in being very individual in a sense. But at the same time, with a president like President Trump, we're going to realize that we have to. To be united on this. And once we have this done, then we'll, again, I think, be much better prepared to move forward and do other things in the future.
All right, so here's Kevin McCarthy who knows a little thing or two about trying to get a raucous caucus under control. Cut two. All tax reform starts in the house. But they have to start by doing last year's funding. They got to focus on going forward, making sure the border is secure, making sure they get energy where they can build and make sure the price of gas comes down, making sure they get the tax bill done correctly.
So they can't be fighting among themselves because if one or two get upset, it all collapses upon itself. And really, President Trump is the leader. He laid out the agenda. People need to work together to make sure they get it done. Yeah, so those two guys I mentioned, I like both of them.
They're very impressive, they're very smart. They're very patriotic, but they don't seem to be compromising at all.
Well I believe they will. Keep in mind. We have a new sheriff in town. We also have American people that are awake, that are engaged, that have high expectations. Anyone who wants to have a future in Congress, who wants to continue to represent the American people, to want to represent their districts, this is their moment.
At the end of the day, if you go up against what the rest of our country wants to have happen, I don't think it's going to be a very good thing long term.
So, the upside again with President Trump being our leader, we respect him. We know that he has a vision, we know that he loves our country. That's another piece of it. We don't doubt his love for our nation.
So, part of it is having faith in a person. We might not understand all the nuances, might not understand how to get exactly what we want to get personally, but we know we have a president who loves our country, who's willing to die for our country. If we put our faith into that process, then we'll come up with some strategies to give up a little bit right now to know that in the coming months, we'll be able to get back. And of course, with a bigger majority, the things we're going to do will be remarkable in the next couple of years.
Well, one thing is pretty clear on a side note: you have a. Uh you're uh on uh transportation infrastructure and education committees. And we watched LA burn and still burning to a degree. And now we're watching it rebuild and the frustration's boiling over. Listen to this exchange, this real life exchange between the President and the inept mayor of Los Angeles.
Used to pay out in California for the Raiders. Cut thirty nine. Because they are saying they will not be allowed to start for 18 months. That will not be the case.
Okay, I just hope it will not be the case. You can hold me to it. Because four groups said that. No. That would be a they should be able to do it.
They should be able to start tonight. I'm exercising my emergency powers. You have to exercise them also. I did exercise them. Because I looked.
I mean, you have a very powerful emergency power, and you can do everything within 24 hours. She doesn't know what she's doing, and she's not letting those people back. And she says it's not good for their safety. They still want to wipe America's nose, just like they did during COVID. Instead of letting them back, they let these other people walk through their area, but they're letting these people back in their homes.
What's your thought about the way this is being handled? And should you link any contingency to the aid they're getting? Absolutely, and that's what's happening.
Now, I have to understand what the American people have seen the last four years is what it is to be a bureaucrat, someone who lives and dies in DC with no idea what the real people are dealing with. And somebody's been out there building businesses, working with the people, and coming up with solutions. There was another comment that Mayor Mad Bass said: she said the people can get back in a week. And President Trump said, no, how about 24 hours? She thought she was being very gracious, believe it or not, because it only takes 18 months.
We have right now the difference in the two approaches of our country, of our lives, our freedom are on display. And this is why I think we have such a remarkable moment right now, a moment that we can get our country back. And what President Trump said a few months back: we're going to push these Marxists back 30 years. They have been slowly but surely getting their way into our nation, into the way we think, into our educational system. And now that we know, we know how to stop it.
And I'm so excited by the intergenerational change we're seeing as we speak with things like DEI, when merit is being brought to the picture, when business ownerships are going to be respected again and allowed to grow.
So we're in a position where literally our country comes back to our basic values. Faith, life liberty pursuit of happiness will be allowed for every single individual. And I'm excited about seeing that happen to be part of it, to be honest with you. All right, Congressman, last question. Jets make the right choice with Aaron Glenn.
You know, I'm one of those guys five years ago when they started kneeling, I stopped watching.
So I have not watched the game, Brian, in five years. And once the commissioner resigns, I think I'll probably watch again.
So I might not ever. I don't know.
He likes you, former Jet, drafted by the Jets. And I think he really loves that team.
So hopefully that'll be the right mix. Congressman, thanks so much. Good luck in your conference. Thank you, Brian. I appreciate it, buddy.
Listen, I'll be back squeezing some calls. 1-866-408-7669. I'm going to tell you the one decision I really disagree with with President Trump when we come back. Newsmakers and newsbreakers, hear it first on the Brian Kill Me Show. The more you listen, the more you'll know it's Brian Killmead.
President Trump revealed what he called an inspirational letter that President Biden left him in the Oval Office, which read, enjoy it, do a good job. Though Trump thought it was strange that the letter began: Congrats on being the first black female president. Right. was Saturday Night Live over the weekend. And uh that was a mentioned Of the Biden letter that Steve, that Peter Doocy told Trump to check for.
But it's kind of interesting. It was actually pretty funny. It wasn't that much of a partisan. I hate Trump. I think they've made the adjustment.
I don't think the Kimmel's made the adjustment, and I don't think Stephen Colbert is going to make the adjustment. We'll have to see. Here's another cut from this is really, this is actually, I think, the funniest moment when they talk about Trump-Lincoln. Cut 46. President Trump was sworn back into office on Monday, but he appeared to not place his hand on the Bible.
Well, he tried to, but the Bible screamed. The Bible Trump used was the same one Abraham Lincoln used at his inauguration. And man, I wish those two could talk to each other. Lincoln could teach Trump a lot about the importance of preserving our union, and Trump could teach Lincoln how to turn your head at the exact right moment. I thought that was pretty good.
Maybe you guys don't. All right, so here's the other thing: on a serious note.
So, Tom Cotton and Lindsey Graham agree on one thing: for the President Trump to take away the Secret Service protection to John Bolton, to Mike Pompeo, to Brian Hook, I think it's a huge mistake. I actually think the same thing with Robert O'Brien when Biden took it away from him. There's a bounty on their heads for killing Soleimani. They did the orders of President Trump on their recommendation, but Trump did it, and now they're trying to kill him. Trump's got the protection, but these guys don't.
Here's Senator Tom Cotton, cut eight. We don't know what we don't know, and it's better to be safe than sorry, because it's not just about these men who helped President Trump carry out his policy in his first term. It's about their family and friends, innocent bystanders every time they're in public. It's also about the President being able to get good people and get good advice. If people are saying going to work for the President now on Iran or China or North Korea or the Mexican drug cartels, they might hesitate to do so, or they might hesitate if they're in office to give him the advice he needs or carry out the policies that he decides upon.
And that is a Tom Cotton. If you think that he's anti-Trump, you're not paying attention. He is very pro-Trump, but he always has to speak his mind. And I know he's got a lot of respect for Tom Cotton, too. Cut 17.
I would encourage the President to revisit the decision for those people who are being targeted by Iran. As the President was targeted for assassination by Iran, as the chairman of the Intelligence Committee, I've reviewed the intelligence in the last few days. The threat to anyone involved in President Trump's strike on Qasim Sulamani is persistent. It's real. Iran is committed to vengeance against all of these people.
In fact, the chief of staff of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence agreed with me that if these threats were against him or his family, that he would want security because the threats are real. There are gaps in our coverage. 100%. I hope he changes his mind. Lindsey Graham said the same thing.
A lot of Democrats do, too. It doesn't make any sense to me. President's already said, I'm open to going back into the WHO. He should be just saying, you know what, I'm just going to restore it. I don't need that on my head.
And I think the most important point was when Tom Cotton said, if you don't like Mike Pompeo for some reason, you think that the threat isn't great, the threat is real. Intelligence Committee got it. It's a Republican that received it. He's chairman of the Intel Committee, understand that, who's in the military and not afraid of anything, called out China before everyone called out China.
So my feeling is, whatever you were consulted to do, I'd have no idea what happened between Mike Pompeo and this administration. He was CIA director and he was Secretary of State, two of the most important things you could do for Trump, and finished all four years, which was way too rare with Trump.
So I don't know what happened in the interim. How could it be worse than running against Trump? Tim Scott run against Trump, they're tight. Governor DeSantis and Trump went head to head hard and they're talking again. They're golfing together again.
Nikki Haley and her, I guess I assume made their piece. They don't really talk much. But with Mike Pompeo, he stood on the sideline. He said when it became clear to him that Trump's going to run, he said he's not going to run.
Now, if he decides to go with DeSantis, Chip Roy went with DeSantis, he speaks to Trump. Tom Dassey won with DeSantis. He speaks to Trump.
So why take Why allow Mike Pompeo to be vulnerable? Word is he moved out of his house in Virginia because he's worried about his security. Who is in the brain kill me, Chill? From the Fox News Radio Studios in Midtown Manhattan, it's the fastest-growing radio talk show. Brian Kilmead.
Hi, everyone. It's going to be a big hour. Hope you had a fantastic weekend. We're back in action today. I come to you from 48th and 6th in Midtown Manhattan, but heard around the country, around the world.
Good news is for people on Manhattan, they're now going to send cops into the subway so they can witness some of the craziness up close and personal. The problem is they don't have enough men and women to go above board because recruiting is down there. You know, they got like 41,000 cops, biggest police force in the country, maybe the world. This hour going to be joined by Tyler Fisher, the outstanding comedian, does a great Trump. He's got a Fox Nation special, no pardon needed with Tyler Fisher.
He spends a lot of time with Joe Rogan at his club. He's going to be with us at the bottom of the hour. But right now, in studio, is Jamie Metzel. He's a former member of the WHO Advisory Committee, former National Security Council official, and the Clinton administration, author of the book Super Convergence. And we're going to get with him right away.
But first, let's get to the big three.
Now, with the stories you need to know, it's Brian's big three. Number three. They are saying. They will not be allowed to start for 18 months. That will not be the case.
Okay, I just hope it will not be the case. You can hold me to it. Because four groups said that. No. Because I looked, I mean, you have a very powerful emergency power, and you can do everything within 24 hours.
And that's Trump at his best. Getting that business acumen and that ability and what he's used to, and getting it to a bureaucrat like Karen Bass, who has to be the most inept politician I've ever seen at a time in which he's needed most in Los Angeles. We're going to bring you more of that throwdown, and hopefully, it will change things in California. Number two. But ICE officers should have discretion to decide if a national security threat.
or public safety threats in one of these facilities, then there should be an option for them to make the arrest. Border and immigration. Chicago, New York, Aurora, three main cities with massive raids on illegal alien criminals. As Dems show, they are wary about standing in his way, and Tom Holman has a warning for Congress. Number President Trump is implementing this historic slate of reforms all across the U.S.
government with a simple but remarkable message. The American people are in control of their government again. They elected Donald Trump, and Donald Trump is implementing his mandate. Trump, 100 days, massive action in week one. We look at in preview a critical week two and the nomination confirmation fight for the Trump cabinet, which is kind of slow.
I mean, you got Christy Noam was now Homeland Security. You have Pete Hakeseth on Friday night, got defense. And then right away, you had Marco Rubio. We should get Pam Bondi by Wednesday. And there's a slate of kind of Scott Besson should come today as Treasury.
And then you have a slate of more confirmation procedures. With me right now is someone with a lot of experience with seeing this, observing this, and working with people in that field, Jamie Metzel. Jamie, great to see you again. Great to see you, Brian. Grace, you have a TV appearance, but you always save your best stuff for us.
Of course. First things first.
So have you ever seen a week like this, like last week? I mean, this is a crazy moment. We've seen weeks like this in the middle of wars when things are just moving so quickly. It's almost more than most people can even absorb.
So there's a lot of change. And the key for us is to make sure that the change is smart change and wise change.
So that's always the balance. How do you feel the speed of the confirmation nomination process? The nominations went quick. Yeah, the nominations went quick. I think it's okay for the confirmation process, especially if there are some of the more controversial picks, to take a little bit of time.
I mean, these are really important positions. We need to ask tough questions. And the Senate needs to do its job of evaluating the nominations. That's why we have a constitution.
So I'm okay with taking a little bit of time to do that. All right.
So this Wednesday, we're going to have Howard Luttnick, Commerce, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., HHS Secretary, Kelly Loeffler, SBA Administrator. On Thursday, Cash Patel and Tulsi Gabbard. Who do you think was, where is the must-see TV for RFK?
Well, it's the big three. RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and Cash Patel. The other ones I think will sail through pretty easily. What do you think about RFK? This is the biggest question you'd ask.
For me, it's the issue of investing in basic science. I mean, the NIH, I know people have some questions about it, and that's totally appropriate, but the NIH is the most important funder of really essential basic science, investments in the future of healthcare. And that's really, really important.
So for sure, it can be better. But the NIH is one of the great government institutions in the world.
So the question is, how are you going to improve the efficacy of the work of the NIH? And the other thing is vaccines. And so we've had back and forth on vaccines. I know that there are a lot of your listeners who have questions about the COVID-19 vaccines, which I believe were just highly effective and highly safe relative to other vaccines, which doesn't mean perfect because no vaccine is ever perfect.
So I think they should ask RFK Jr.
some tough questions about bad vaccines. But what he's saying about exercise. Diet about the crap that is being put into our foods, that's really important.
So I think it'll be incumbent on RFK Jr. to say, here's what I believe in these other areas, but on basic science and vaccines, here are my commitments. Right. So when it comes to You can't sue a vaccine maker. Since 1986, Guy RFK said that's a problem.
Now there's no pressure on them. Should they screw up? How do you feel about it?
Well, here's the balance. There until recently, there hasn't really been a market for making vaccines because the profit margins have been really low and the liability has been high. And so when you're doing something like with the COVID-19 vaccines, you have to do the best that you can. But if you're vaccinating, Globally, billions of people, you're going to find that there are people, like perhaps with the teenage boys with the heart issues, where there are going to be some kind of problem.
So there has to be some level of immunity, or we're going to just destroy the businesses that we need to make vaccines. Because he's going to bring that up. That's one of the things that he has stood for, because he believes they should be liable. Yeah, so I so I would replace liable with accountable. I don't know the issue about liable, but I would say we just need to make sure that America is leading the world in developing the best and safest vaccines, not just as a business case, but in order to protect ourselves.
We went in 11 months from having the sequence genome of the SARS-CoV-2 virus to having the COVID mRNA vaccines that were going into people's arms. In my personal view, that saved millions of lives. I know that there's not a lot of celebration about it, but President Trump's Operation Warp Speed was an unbelievable success, equivalent to the Manhattan Project. And so we should be proud of ourselves, but can vaccines be made better? Can our system be made better?
Can there be more accountability? Jamie, because you live in this area, we had somebody on that work with RFK. He says, I'm a journalist, I'm not a scientist. But he said, What I was found out is we looked into who's doing these studies.
So I just see a study, four to five doctors say X, Y, and Z, or they did a study and these are 98% efficient. I personally say to myself, okay, I take that and I move. I'm not a scientist. And they stopped and they said, who's doing these studies? And when were these studies done?
Whether it's polio or what's in them, what changed? There's no link between autism and vaccines. All right, well, who did the study? And he went back and he's disturbed about what he saw, went into these studies. From what you know, do you think it's worth it to go back to find out why the study, who did these studies, and were they scientifically viable?
And should we be taking them as something to build policy off of? We're all thinking people. We should look at everything. I mean, if there are credible allegations that there is some kind of manipulation, we should look at it. But we can also just look at the basic charts for measles, mumps, rubella, polio, how many people were dying before the vaccines were introduced and how many people were dying after the vaccines were introduced.
And it's unbelievable. And so I've looked, not as intensely as some other people, but I've looked at some of the research about vaccines and autism, and I haven't found any credible connection between those two things. Does that mean it's not there? No. I mean, it could be there.
But I just think we, in my personal view, vaccines have been among the greatest inventions in human. History that have saved tens or hundreds of millions of lives. And we're here, Brian, in the United States. When Columbus showed up here in this part of the world in 1492, bringing the bacteria and the viruses from the old world. Unknowingly.
Unknowingly. But about 90% of the total population died from that. If they had had the vaccines that we have for smallpox, for measles, those people would have survived. And I think that we need to, we have the luxury of asking these tough questions because we don't even realize how protective we are. But on some level, and I'm curious to see how it plays out.
On some level, don't you want some of the norms challenged?
Well, for sure. We should all, as thinking people, we should want every norm challenged. And that's how the scientific process works. We should never have any absolute truth.
So absolutely. I welcome all comers. And you know that wasn't welcomed, and you were one of the biggest critics during the COVID. For all of us, the easiest thing to do is just to flow down whatever stream. We're on.
The harder thing to do is to ask tough questions. But in doing that, I think we need to maintain a sense of proportion.
So, what I just said, vaccines are incredible. Can they be better? Yes. Should we look if people have credible allegations of science that may have been misleading, misrepresented? We should look at that.
We should look at everything. Jamie Metzel, our guest.
So, Jamie, the other one that is going to be controversial, also a former Democrat, Tulsi Gabbard, when it comes to the director of national intelligence, Rachel Bate of Politico weighed in over the weekend about what it's going to be like for her this week, CUT 14. Tulsi Gabbard is something to really watch this week. I mean, she's going to have this confirmation hearing. We're hearing a lot from Senate Republicans privately that they don't like her. They feel like she's a Democrat.
She's on the other team. She's flip-flopped on her foreign policy, national security positions way too much. If they want to make a point and send a signal to Donald Trump that he needs to actually respect them, she could potentially go down. But again, I'm going to believe it when I see it because a lot of people. Of these guys, they don't want to be crosswise with a big guy.
Your take. I agree with what you said. I oppose the confirmation of Tulsi Gabbard. Her meetings with Assad, secret meetings with Assad, her support, alleged support of Putin, she's done all kinds of things in opposition to America's national security as far as I see it. I do not think she's an appropriate pick for this point.
I certainly hope that Senate Democrats and Republicans will come and say, I mean, she's, I'm sure, maybe a nice person, but not in this sensitive role. If you're the director of the ODNI, you need to be fully above board. You need to be the person who everybody trusts, that all of the intelligence is going to go through you, and you aren't going to put your own personal spin on that. You have your beliefs. And if you were in that position and you got counter, if you got intelligence that was counter to that, I'm convinced that you would say it.
Absolutely. That's the job. And so that's why I don't think that. Because you don't believe, from what you know of her, you don't believe that if she had something that would be counter to her being openness to Putin. Absolutely.
Believe me, nobody's more for Ukraine than me. I know it. I know. But I'm open to the fact that, for example, Tucker Carlson had that view. He's like, we were closing in on Vladimir Putin.
NATO got too big. They broke their word in the 1990s. And he had no choice but to push back on Ukraine. Yeah. So I just totally agree.
I don't agree with that. I'd like you. I don't agree with that. I was in the Clinton administration in the White House when those decisions were made. I don't know.
I did not either. I know, I know. I agree with you. I'm agreeing with you that I disagree with them. And that is a misread and a mischaracterization of history.
But coming back to Tulsi Gabbard, John Ratcliffe, the new CIA director, he had that job. John is a friend of mine. He's a wonderful person. I think he's off to a fantastic start at CIA. He had that personality.
He had strong views. He strongly supported President Trump, but I trusted him to evaluate the incoming information. That's where I could be of help. I got to know her. Yeah.
I think that you would really like her. Sure. And especially, I really respect her military service, too. Back in a moment. More with Jamie Metzel.
You'll listen to the Brian Kilmey Show. Both sides, all opinions. It's Brian Killmead. If you're interested in it, Brian's talking about it. You're with Brian Kilmead.
Well, I said from the very beginning COVID probably came from that lab. I didn't have access to classified intelligence or special scientific knowledge. I just used a little common sense and looked at the facts and understood what Chinese Communists do. I'm glad that in the final days of the Biden administration, the CIA reached the same conclusion, and I commend John Ratcliffe for making that conclusion public. The important thing now is that we have to make China pay for unleashing this plague on the world.
That would be great. And Senator Tom Cotton was one of the first. And I think it was his - I interviewed him right after his column where they said a fringe right-wing conservative came up with that belief that this came from a lab leak at the Wuhan lab. One of the other people to say that is Jamie Metzel, my guest right now. Jamie, your thoughts about John Ratcliffe coming in within 24 hours come out and says from low confidence it came from a lab, the CIA is now changing its view.
More than likely came from a lab. Your thoughts? I think it's great. This was a view that under the Biden administration, the CIA director Burns said, we need to have a look at this again. We can't stay on the fence.
That determination was made in the Biden administration, but it was held secret. And John Radcliffe, who is my friend and a fantastic guy, came in on this first day and said, well, let's just get this out the door. I think it's great. As you know, Brian, I have been at this since the early days of 2020. I'm a Liberal Democrat.
Tom Cotton has been fantastic. I think he was spot on from the early days of 2020. In an ideal world, we don't yet live in an ideal world, none of us think about, well, what's my tribe or my affiliation? We just look at the available evidence and say, hey, what makes sense? And it's so tragic that we on these issues.
Aren't able to say, hey, what does the evidence show? And for me, like for you and others here at Fox, and certainly for Senator Cotton, it seemed pretty clear since the beginning, actually, that the chances are, from all of the available evidence, this most likely comes from a research-related incident.
So now the question is: how do we hold China accountable? The good news is, last year, Secretary Radcliffe and I, I mean, then he was the former ODI Ratcliffe, and I were commissioners in the Heritage Foundation Bipartisan Commission on China and COVID-19. John Ratcliffe was the lead Republican and the chairman, I was the lead Democrat. We came up with an 18-point plan for holding China accountable for COVID-19, exactly what Senator Cotton, in the clip he just played, called for. And the most important piece, then we've drafted actual draft legislation, which is with the Senate now, is calling for an amendment to America's Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, which is basically the law that says every Tom Dick or Harry can't sue foreign governments.
But we've had a carve-out for terrorist financing. And that's why there have been these billion-dollar cases against, for example, a Jordanian bank, the Arab bank, that was found guilty and liable for supporting terrorism. If we did that, we would decentralize enforcement with regard to COVID-19 origins. I think that more than anything will put tremendous pressure on China to come clean. Are you glad we dropped out of the WHO?
I'm not glad the United States played an essential role in creating the WHO in 1948, not because it was some act of charity, but because we recognize that health and public health are inherently international and global. And we saw that in with COVID-19, that we weren't as protected as we need to be.
So we have been the biggest funders of the WHO, and we've been massive beneficiaries. And certainly, there is a lot that is not working in the WHO. Part of that is the WHO's fault, but most of it is not. The WHO is governed by states. It has a budget smaller than the budget of an average teaching hospital here in the United States.
It only controls 20% of its own budgets, its own budget. And the biggest advocate for WHO reform are people like Dr. Tedros at the WHO itself. But the WHO radically needs reform. And China, not just in the WHO, but in the UN more generally.
Is playing this really pernicious, parasitic role of undermining these kinds of things.
So, better to stay in and fight for change. And now we have a lot of leverage because of presidential. Financing is double of China's at least somewhere. But we should use it to force change, and now we have a moment of possibility. Jay Metzel, thanks so much.
We'll see what happens because the president said shows some wiggle room in that area over the weekend. We'll see what goes on. Much more to come when we come back. Brian, Kilmija. Radio that makes you think.
This is the Brian Kill Me Show. I heard Trump's doing a rally in Boston soon. Which is w he already won, I don't know why he's still doing rallies. Here we are in Austin. We love Austin.
Austin is a great guy. We love him. I think he's out there right now. Let's bring him up. Not a real guy.
Austin, where are they? He's always bringing random people up.
So he's a guy named John. Where's John? An hour is just him looking for John Williams. We're going to bring John up. I met him in the bathroom at McDonald's.
He's the janitor. We're going to bring him up to solve the war in Ukraine. Come on up, John. Tyler Fisher, comedian, a new Fox Nation special, no pardon needed with Tyler Fisher on Fox Nation, as I mentioned. And he's been on the show before.
You see him on Gutfeld all the time. Tyler, welcome back. Thanks, man. Oh, you stand up.
Sometimes. Oh, okay.
Well, yeah.
Well, the thing is, the problem is your mic isn't adjustable. That's the issue. I thought you had to do it. I didn't know you'd take that as a challenge. We're on.
Yeah. No, we are on. Oh, we're on.
Okay.
So that was you. You heard yourself, too.
So you didn't even hear the clip. No, I heard it a little bit. I can't hear myself though. Oh, really? Just go up on the bottom.
Yeah, make it a little bit louder. There it is. Yeah. Yeah, now you can really hear yourself. Yeah, we're on radio, baby.
So, Tyler, you're over in Austin. That is your home club now, the mothership. Joe Rogan's mothership. And I do the comedy seller when I'm in New York. Right.
Those are the only two? Yeah. And do you travel around the country and do stuff? I tour non-stop. Yeah, my tour starts again.
I just did a 14-month tour. 14 months? Yeah. I'd come in home in between sometimes, and then I start again February 7th in, I think, Cincinnati and then Columbus, and then I'm off to the whole country.
Well, I'll tell you what, you your Trump is flawless. I mean, we've seen you on Gutfell do it. But just to tell everyone just on the serious side, what you've been fighting since COVID? And you've been fine. A lot of people just didn't want to book you.
Why? Yeah. Well, I didn't get the COVID shot. And um You know, I started I you see Fauci like switch every week. Like you know, it's two masks, you know, six is really the sweet spot.
You know, maybe if you put a diaper around your face and just bury your head in sand, and I'm going, you know, this is too much. And now and now you see him get the f Pardon me. Dating back to 2014. And he just lost his security detail as well. Which is kind of funny.
I mean, he should just do the same COVID precaution. You know, if the criminals stay six feet apart, Brian, the bullets can't get through my mask. Right. And the other thing is, with him, he just found out the six feet apart was something back to 1919. There was no science behind that either.
Do you know what the actual number is? Like cl closer is 30. 30 feet. 30 feet's like the number that everyone really would have to stay 30 feet apart. Right.
How do you feel about the today, President Trump passing an executive order says reinstate every military member that was kicked out for not taking the shot and they get back pay? Yeah. I wish every company in the country would be forced to do that, though. That'd be great. Right.
So many people. God, I meet so many people: nurses, firefighters, cops. They're all at my shows, and they all. Lost their job and it really screwed people up. And now you're suing somebody, right?
I'm suing somebody. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm suing Fox. No, I'm kidding.
I'm suing, yeah, I'm suing an acting manager who told, they scouted me, and then they said, actually, they called me and said, it's our new company policy to not represent white men anymore because it's not a good look right now. And I recorded the phone call, which is legal in New York, and filed a lawsuit at the Supreme Court of Brooklyn. That was three years ago. And we're still, you know, in like discovery phase. It hasn't really, it's like just starting to move a little bit.
But that's where I was a pretty like woke lefty guy because that's what I grew up being taught. Right. By your parents. It was probably more school that you know, my parents didn't force anything on us, but CNN was probably on the T V and you pick those things up. You hear the right is racist, you know, Trump's a not, all that stuff.
And so The between the D E I stuff, which I had a blooming Career in Hollywood. And they slowly would say, They would take jobs away. They would book me and then say, We have to give it to a person that's not like you. And I go, This isn't legal, and nobody fought it.
So that stuff definitely was.
Well, they said they would never cast friends again. Friends would never get cast today. Because, you know, five white people hanging out in New York City. You never see that in New York, do you? Right now.
Five white people have been in the New York Times.
Well, you're never going to see it in California. Yeah, you're never going to see it in California.
So things have certainly changed for you and for others. I thought Stephen A. Smith nailed it over the weekend.
So did Bill Maher. Cut six.
So then, when they talked about him the way that they talked about him, They were like, you didn't feel that way about him before. What changed? And they asked so a lot of people asked themselves that question and they weren't satisfied with the answers that Dems gave them. So is he cool again? I mean, is it tell me about on stage how you feel about doing it?
We're doing no tax on tips and no tax on chicken nuggets.
Now, did you know that? No. Unlimited dipping sauce, right? We're doing Yeah, I think I think a lot of people have thought he's It thinks think he's cool. And they it's more so they were afraid to say it.
It's more of a social contagion.
So, I mean, on stage, when I do him, the the people on the left laugh 'cause they go, He's making fun of Trump. And then the Trump Fans go he's making fun of Trump, but they like it. Because they have more of a sense of humor, I think. I also think too, I think that Trump could, as long as it's not mean, he likes laughing at himself. But the other stuff, it wasn't jokes.
They're just like attacks. When you wonder, is this a MSNBC debate or are you doing a monologue? Here, Tyler, you are going after Joe Biden, an equal opportunity offender, you are. Cut 44. How are they going to teach Joe Biden speeches?
to children in school. Twenty years from now, some Middle school class. History teacher going over all the famous presidential speeches. Today we're going to start with JFK, and I love this. This is the Ask Not speech.
Ask not what your country could do for you. Ask what you can do for your country. And I love that because that is about not being selfish. Up next, we're going to. This is Joe Biden's corn pop.
Corn pops a bad dude. Shine joking around. Fool in Delaware laughed his shirt leg, chain line around his legs. Black boys, touch my leg hair. Look, my leg hair turned blind.
They like touching the leg hair. Shine not joking around. I love that speech. Filled with metaphor and similar But people weren't even admitting that he was slurring his words for three years until like a year ago. Yeah, slurring his words, falling upstairs off bikes.
You're just going, it was like watching the Three Stooges. I'm a big physical comedy guy, so I thought this is some pretty good physical because he has Trump beat on the physical comedy side. Right. Although it was intentional, which makes it so natural. But yeah, everybody, you know, you couldn't even say that to people on the left.
It's fine.
So when you look at some of these late-night shows, would you even fit in? To the late night shows. Would they be up? They're probably not going to book you because of that. That's why Gutfeld books you, right?
Gutfell was the first late-night talk show to ever bug me. Yeah, I d I Jimmy Kimmel wanted me on. Like, they've all kind of reached out. And I remember they make you submit tapes and then they comb through every joke and they do surgery on it. You know, Fox, they don't do that.
I thought I would go on Fox once and I go, oh, they're going to tell me what to say. And I'm like, oh my God, they didn't tell me what to say, what to do. I had the best time on Gutfeld, and now I go on every day. How many times have you been on? Oh, my God.
I go on one or two times a month for the last year, over a year. And then I get to write new jokes for five different topics, and it's a blast. But Jimmy Kimmel's booker said, Jimmy's friends with a lot of the celebrities you're doing impressions of. And he might get offended. I go, I go, I'm out.
You know, I really did try to do all of these shows because those were the hot shows. And then you look at Colbert doing the vaccine dance, and he's crying, they're all crying. Johnny Carson is rolling in his grave. Right. That is some weird stuff.
These people are crying. This is weird stuff, Brian. Never seen it on. Jimmy Kimball cries all the time. He cried after the election.
And he said, you know, they said he was telling one story where he says ABC came up to him and said, look, you'd be more inclusive. If you would just open up your comedy a little and don't be so negative towards Trump. And he said, My and my feeling is good riddance if you don't like my comedy. In fact, don't forget the good, just ridden. Wow.
Jimmy Killy, brought to you by Kleenex. Right. What other celebrities do you do? Um, whatever it's up to. You do Al Pacino.
Bill Burr, uh, Al Pacino. Or Robert De Niro. Uh, Al Pacino as an owl. That's good. Uh, well, I was watching Bill Burr on, and I love Bill Burr, but I don't know if you saw him on Kimmel.
You didn't see him on Jimmy Kimmel saying how he goes on Jimmy Kimmel and he goes, You know, my uh my house survived the fire, but everybody did a great job. Right, I just want to say everybody did a great job and Jimmy's like, yeah. The crowd's clapping. The response on the internet was like, Hey, buddy. They didn't do a great job.
The firefighters did, but he said the respo everything was great. And for Bill Burr to say that, who you know just a critic, yeah, outspoken. Oh, they did a great job. Everything's great. And he got eaten alive.
Yeah, there's nothing funny about what's going on right now. No. And the thing is, They stayed that reservoir was dry for a year. And they spend over $400 million in one year in taxes. The average home is worth $4.5 million on Pacific Palisades.
Almost everything burned to the ground. When the firefighters did show up, which was late, they had no water.
So how could you say everyone did a great job? You still let people back to their rubble, which was once their home. How could you possibly say that? And the wind helped the fire miss his house.
So, you know, what would have happened if he actually, if he lost his house, he probably would have had a different tune. But as far as the reservoir, in California's defense, it was full, and then I guess Lizzo took a sip of it and just cleaned it up. I did not know that. And so I cleared the air. I found myself on a news show, and I did not know that.
That's what I'm here for, Brian. That's right. I was wondering why you were here. Here's more from Tyler Fisher's, his big special on Fox. Look how much you've done.
CUD 45. Trump is building a wild coalition of some of the most talented, autistic billionaires. Thank you. In this country, it is gonna be I'm telling you, even if you don't like them, just enjoy the show. It's gonna be a circus.
It's gonna be hilarious. Every press conference will be its own comedy special. It starts Hulk Hogan bursts through the door, all right, brothers. Sylvester Shalone's in on it now. He's Oh, she is.
Elon Musk just pissing me on the back. Oh, MSNBC. I own MSNBC now, so it's just 24 hours of rocket launch video.
So there you go.
So it is going to be non-stop entertainment. We've already seen it for a week. Yeah, yeah, it's f it's not only is he actually doing things, but it's it's also entertaining and funny. I mean, you can't beat that.
Well, a lot of the stuff he says, you think that's crazy, and then it ends up being right. For example, he came out last week and goes, you know what? I think I'm going to just get rid of FEMA. FEMA does a terrible job. Let's give all the money to locals.
Number two is like, when it comes to the Palestinians, can we just get them out of there? We'll fix it up and they can come back. They can come back. I called Jordan's king. And then I'm going to call Egypt this week.
I'm texting with Egypt right now. We're texting Egypt. We're texting Egypt. Can you just take a Palestinian? Everyone could take one, and then we'll let them back once we fix it.
Fix up the place. When you say what you think out loud, it really is a wonderful thing. It's not always right, but if you can without being inhi uh inhibited and just say what you think, uh, i not a lot of people can do that.
So a couple of things that I want to bring you to real quick. Sure. And that is on the on the LA burning. you have a situation where the LA burns to the ground, nothing's being done.
So I'm talking to people after the initial fires and where's the water, I got it. And I said to myself, it is, I had all my stuff burned and I got flooded in Sandy, two separate incidents, ninety two and whenever Sandy was.
So I know it takes about a week, and when nothing gets done, people get crazy. Oh, yeah. Right?
So they're getting crazy.
So instead of just saying what's getting done, Trump comes out there instead of hugging it out, where I think other Republicans and Democrats have done. I think that Trump came out and engaged this idiot mayor, Aaron Bassam, cut 38. And if individuals want to clear out their property, they can. Everyone's standing in front of their house, they want to go to work and they're not allowed to do it. And the most important people to be safe.
They're safe. They're safe. You know what? They're not safe. They're not safe now.
They're going to be much safer. A week is actually a long time, the way I look at it. I watched. Hundreds of people standing in front of their lots, and they're not allowed to go in. It's all burned.
It's gone, it's done, nothing's gonna happen to it, it's not gonna burn anymore, there's nothing to burn, there's almost nothing to burn. And they want to go in. There the people are all over the place. They're standing and I say, Why aren't you going in? We're trying to get a permit and the permit's going to take them.
Everybody said eighteen months So I mean, that's exact that's the conversation, a real life conversation. But that's the president and mayor. Instead of saying behind the scenes, according to reports, no, we saw it. That's one thing I think people demand now because the cameras are everywhere. Even your ring phone, if someone breaks in your house, most likely somebody saw the video.
Subways, we see the video. But when it comes to When it comes to government, we don't really see the video. This guy brings the cameras all the time. And imagine Biden sitting there. Really?
Imagine Biden sitting there talking I remember the Great Fire of eighteen forty five. We we only had a pail of water, Jack. Tyler s even worse than that. He'd say, I had a kitchen fire. Which he makes up a story that his kitchen burned to the ground and it never happened.
Yeah. Everything's got to be about him. Yeah, every natural disaster. I remember that when that bridge fell down, he's like, Oh, I remember the I was on the Titanic. Look, I know how you feel.
I lost my ice cream. I dropped my ice cream in the river. Just like you're calling. It's more important. My son Bo is killed by a ship.
The Civil War. I mean, really, you can't imagine Biden sitting there making peo and and I love Trump said, I don't know anything about building, but he said these people lost everything. Give them a fifteen percent bonus on being able to build a little bigger, a little higher. And I thought no other president would know to offer that. And that, how cool would that be?
To lose everything and go, oh, but we're going to, we can build a little bigger and higher ceilings. Right. Getting them excited. I was excited about that. Back in a moment.
Educating, entertaining, enlightening. You're with Brian Kilmead.
Breaking news, unique opinions. Hear it all on the Brian Kill Me Show. For the first time in 30 years, New York City this week went five days without anyone getting shot because it's just way more fun to push people onto the subway track. That was weekend updates, some of the funny moments yesterday. The cold open was kind of ridiculous, but they did a Hamilton cold open with the impersonator for Donald Trump coming out there, kind of blowing up the founding fathers.
Tyler Fisher, our guest. Tyler, you did laugh, but if you really want to laugh, check out his Fox Nation special, No Pardon Needed, with Tyler Fisher.
So, Tyler, you did not need a pardon, but you did laugh at this. I did laugh at that. Yeah. Yeah. I started with Michael Che, like, doing open micro stuff.
I actually trained him to act in a sketch, and we did a comedy sketch together. He said, I'll never do TV again. I'll never do film again. He just didn't like it. And I knew I laughed because I was like, he's so good.
And then he went daily show, SNL. Yeah, I don't watch it. I don't support any of that stuff anymore. Right. I watch, I mean, the cold open, every once in a while, they'll.
They started mocking Biden aptly and just pointing out that he's slurring his word that he's old, he doesn't remember anything, but. And now I'm going to see how Much they're going to kill Trump as they come up in their 50-year anniversary. Yeah, yeah. I remember, I mean, they're bringing in Dana Carvey, who's one of my favorite ever, to play Biden. And I thought.
That is so, you know, you're taking away. I love Dana's on there, but you're taking away one of the biggest impressions. And bringing back somebody from twenty years ago, you've got a problem. 'Cause back then playing the president was the biggest Honor on SNL. I never thought about it.
And so I'm thinking, hey, like, you could do it. I could do it. I know other people that could do it. Shane Gillis. Once they kicked Shane Gillis off, I was done.
Right. I didn't even remember he was on. Was he in front of the camera? Was he. No, he was fired before his first day for something he said on a podcast, on a comedy podcast.
But then where was he? A year later, he's fired. And now he's the most famous person in the world. Right. Absolutely.
You think he's funny? Yes. Absolutely. Tyler Fisher, check him out on Fox Nation. It's ready right now, right?
It's on now, and I'm on tour. TylerFisher.com. All right, and we should follow you wherever you go. Ty the Fish, F-I-S-C-H. From high atop Fox News headquarters in New York City.
Always seeking solutions, never sowing division. It's Brian Kilmead. Thanks for being here, everybody. It's the Brian Kill Meet Show. Have you had a great weekend?
We're back in action today, but the action never stopped. We've never seen anything like this, including the Trump one term. There's a blizzard of executive actions. There is action, period. President statements, two rallies.
Then he had a meeting in North Carolina with all those people who are still out of their home trying to rebuild, find out what the issues are. But he doesn't just show up and meet with governors and senators. He goes and talks to people, puts the microphone in front of their face, and then he also does the same thing in California. He sits down, and Gavin Newsom, I guess, bamboozles his way into the tarmac, met with him, and then he disappears. Karen Bass and he sits down, but instead of saying, let's talk, he says, get the cameras in, let's talk.
And they have it out, and they get the frustration of the people, and he does it in front of the masses. Because basically, he's there in his mind to serve the people. If you think he wants to just be rich or richer, that's why he's running. You're not, you just have Trump derangement syndrome. Nothing to do with that.
In fact, he's the only president I know of in a long time that lost money when he was president.
So let's get to the big three.
Now with the stories you need to know, it's Brian's big three. Number three. They are saying they will not be allowed to start for 18 months. No, that will not be the case.
Okay, I just hope that you can hold me to it. Because four groups said that. No, because I looked, I mean, you have a very powerful emergency power, and you can do everything within 24 hours. The mayor is lying. There are four different groups that told him that they can't do that.
They're not allowed to rebuild, still holding him out for a week for their own quote-unquote safety. Trump brawling with FEBA, FEMA, and feeble Democratic leaders, including Karen Best. We'll discuss it. Number two. But ICE officers should have discretion.
To decide if a national security threat or public safety threats in one of these facilities, then it should be an option for them to make the arrest. Border and immigration, Chicago, New York, and Aurora.
Well, ICE is in full bloom. They are taking out the terrorists, taking out the gangsters, taking out the criminals, and shipping them out on military planes before Democrats even knew what hit them or knew how to protest and stop them. And by the way, 80-60% of the country is for mass deportation. The Democrats have to watch how they push back. Number Wrong.
President Trump is implementing this historic slate of reforms all across the U.S. government with a simple but remarkable message: the American people are in control of their government again. They elected Donald Trump, and Donald Trump is implementing his mandate. Yep, there you go. That is Stephen Miller on One Nation on Saturday night.
Trump 100 days, talk about 100 hours. Massive action in week one, already hitting the ground running in week two. And we have nominations and confirmations coming your way as he starts to get his team in place. On Saturday, Pete Hakeseth got his confirmation. Then Christine Noam on Friday night was Pete.
Saturday was Christy Noam. Today is going to be Scott Besson, so they're going to have a Treasury Secretary. Wednesday, we should get an Attorney General and Pam Bondi, and we'll see where we go from there. People have noticed around the world what Trump is doing and the pace in which he's keeping, including somebody who knows him quite well, Pierce Morgan. He joined me on One Nation Saturday Night, cut three.
I can only tell you the world reaction is kind of shock and awe in a good way because we have a pretty limp Labour government over here and obviously in America you've just had a very limp four years with Joe Biden and the Democrats and suddenly you've got this surge of extraordinary energy of somebody who I think having spoken to a number of times in the last few months I think he's feeling a sense of getting a second chance twice once in his own life when he survived the assassination attempt and once professionally to have another go at being president because the last time in his last year it got derailed by the pandemic and I think you're seeing Donald Trump right now at his absolute ferocious best.
So let's bring in Michael Goodwin at the New York Post and see if he feels the same way. That's the view from overseas. It feels like that here, too. Michael, what do you think? Good morning, Brian.
Look, I I think uh the Visit to North Carolina and California was instructive in a lot of ways, and I think that it's the sort of thing that is a real shock to the system. As you say, and as I wrote, he let people talk, and it was the old cliché of truth to power. He was sitting there, and he was the advocate. For the people who had lost their homes, either in Carolina or LA, he was the advocate against the government.
Now that's an amazing thing when you think about it, right? That here's the President of the United States, the top of the government, but he is advocating for the ordinary citizens. against their local and state governments. I mean, he's totally flipped the script about power and he's brought you know, power to the people. He's brought that power.
He's letting the People who are the victims of these tragedies, he's letting them use his. His power to get what they need for themselves, in this case, help. Or just to get the government out of the way in LA. I mean, it really does boggle the mind when you hear these stories from the LA area of Cops and National Guard. everywhere on the roads not letting people go back to their houses.
The houses have been destroyed. The fires are not burning. But people can't get back to their house. I mean, I I w we have a friend who lost their house out there, and she said, You come up to these Uh stops on the road And the police want your ID. But she said, We lost our ID.
Our ID was burned in our house. Our house is gone. And we can't even get back to see if there's anything there, if there are any momentum or anything like that. Yeah, and what happens is, Michael, what power is doing down there? It's crushing with no explanation, no real reason.
And there's Trump saying, let them back, let them back tonight. Yeah, here it is: Cut 39. They are saying they will not be allowed to start for 18 months. That will not be the case.
Okay, I just hope it will not. You can hold me to it. Because four groups said that. No. They should be able to do it.
They should be able to start tonight. I'm exercising my emergency powers. You have to exercise them also. I did exercise them. Because I looked, I mean, you have a very powerful emergency power, and you can do everything within.
24 hours. I I just love it. She's terrible and she's never been called out before. That usually happens behind the scenes. But he says, bring the cameras in.
And this is what I love. And by the way, who's he is he standing is he doing that for Elon Musk? Is he doing that for Jeff Bezos?
So for people who say he's a president for billionaires, you haven't been watching him in the hills in North Carolina or in a conference room in California. Yeah. And in North Carolina, too, what what was interesting, he gave the microphone to people who had lost their homes and were complaining about their insurance companies. And he gave them the microphone and said, name your insurance company.
So in fact, don't he name and shame your insurance companies right here, right now, on national television with the President of the United States standing with you. I mean, and I'm associate, Brent, about his manner. Like that that the part that you played with Karen Bass, he's persistent, but he's not rude. He's not abrasive. He's just persistent in advocating for what the people he met told him was going on.
And they were right, and she was wrong, because she said, yes, yes, yes, maybe in a week. And he said, a week? Let him go tonight. Absolutely. That's business.
That's a businessman. Yeah, no. It was a terrific trip. It was a terrific trip. And I just hope people are willing to hear him.
How he's really behaving out there. It's quite refreshing, I gotta say.
So here's a little more in case you missed it, because it was Friday afternoon, kind of late here in New York, cut 40. We're concerned right now over the weekend because of the potential rain, but we are going to move as fast as we can, but we want you to be safe and we want you to be back in your homes immediately. But the people are willing to clean out their own debris. It doesn't matter. You should let them do it, because by the time you hire contractors, it's going to be.
Two years.
So he doesn't get it. He's stopping her every step of the way. And then she doubled down and said, Well, it's going to be a week. I got to be safe. No, no.
Forget about being safe. We're all adults. That's the same attitude with COVID. We're going to tell you, we're going to tell you to do a shot. We're going to pour sand in a skate park.
We're not going to let you skateboard. We're not going to let you go to the beach. We're going to arrest you if you don't have somebody in their kitchen with a mask on.
So that's the same attitude, and we're done with it. Yeah. And look, I think this is a shot around the world. I mean, this is what people in Europe are complaining about is the suffocation by government, that the government gets all of these rules and you hear the farmers in Europe complain about they tell us how big our apples can be. I mean, they the the the larger the government, the fewer the freedoms.
And I I think that is an impetus that's driving Trump in a lot of ways, that the American federal government has become a suffocating regime. It makes all kinds of rules for other people, and then of course it doesn't abide by them by itself. And so to be in the government is to have all the power and to be to be free of any obligation. I mean, that simplifies it, but that is fundamentally the dynamic that has taken hold with these all-powerful governments. And here is Donald Trump, the most powerful man of all, of all governments, really, in many ways, and he's fighting for the individual.
I mean, that is quite something, Brian. And I have to say, I think he's always had some of that instinct, but I've never seen him exercise it this way. And I think it is more than a breath of fresh air. I think it is a blow against the overbearing states everywhere.
So, you know, by the way, Virginia Beach, Canada, Toronto, Canada, Oklahoma, I'll be getting to your calls in a moment. But the one place I disagree with the President on is taking the security clearances away from Mike Pompeo, John Bolton, as well as Brian Hook. They took out Solomoni. They had a lot to do with it. And even if you disagree with him now for whatever reason, besides Bolton, I don't know about the other two, I don't think you should put their life in jeopardy.
Here's what Tom Cotton said: CUD 18. We don't know what we don't know, and it's better to be safe than sorry, because it's not just about these men who helped President Trump carry out his policy in his first term. It's about their family and friends, innocent bystanders, every time they're in public. It's also about the president being able to get good people and get good advice. If people are saying going to work for the president now on Iran or China or North Korea or the Mexican drug cartels, they might hesitate to do so.
They might hesitate if they're in office to give him the advice he needs or carry out the policies that he decides upon.
So I disagree with him on that. How do you feel? No, I do too. I think, look, if there's if it's a money issue, then maybe that's an explanation. But even then, you don't announce it.
right, there's no need to announce it. Let they had this security all along. Give them a chance to get private security if you think it's too expensive for the government to continue this endlessly, but there's no need to make it public. That's the part that I think is the most dangerous, to Tom Cotton's point. If you just quietly take it away and help them find some kind of protection on their own, then at least they're not so vulnerable.
But when you announce you've taken it away, it's putting a target on their backs. Yeah, absolutely. I just think he can fix that, and I hope he does. Michael, thanks so much. Great to have you on.
If you could follow Michael Goodwin in his columns, m Goodwin underscore NYPOS. Have a great week, Mike. Thanks. Too Brian. All right, 1-866-408-7669.
Your call is next. Matt Continenti at the bottom of the hour. Busy hour coming your way. We already had our Secretary of Defense speak before he went into office a couple hours ago, officially, starting today. Exciting time.
Don't move. Diving deep into today's top stories, it's Brian Kilmead. The fastest three hours in radio. You're with Brian Kilmead.
Separate the immigration issue. If you had a violent murderer in a school, of course I want law enforcement to go and get that person out.
So what's the point of the question? You changed the regulation this week. That's the point of the question. Exactly. Giving the authority to go into churches and going to schools.
They empowered law enforcement to enforce the law everywhere to protect Americans. A chilling effect, arguably, to people to not send their kids to school. I desperately hope it has a chilling effect on the church. You think the U.S. Conference of Catholics, Bishops is.
Are actively hiding criminals? I think the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has frankly not been a good partner in common sense immigration enforcement that the American people voted for. And he's 100% right. And those Catholic bishops who were critical, and that idiot pastor over at the National Cathedral that thought it was a good opportunity to put her political agenda to the president and vice president and their families, she pointed out to J.D.
Vance that these Catholic bishops and Catholic charities are gotten NGOs. And when these people come across the border, they're put into these NGO facilities and they're given all types of accommodations and they're given transportation to be part of the communities.
Now, Why are they doing that? Why are they going out of their way to help illegal immigrants? He believes, as I believe, they're into the money that the government's giving them. And that's not what Catholic charities should be doing. And I'm really wondering, I mean, how they got away with that bishop blitzing the president of the United States.
In front of him and his family, and the vice president was equally offended. And there's no one more Catholic than J.D. Vance. Doesn't do that just as an aside. All right, Bobby, you live in Virginia Beach.
Thanks for holding on. What's on your mind?
Well, Brian, I think Tom Holman's got a huge task in front of him, and I truly, truly hope that when Doge takes effect, they can fund him more seriously than he currently has. Because everything that you have talked about today on your show, and we've been talking about for weeks, is to get rid of these illegal, threatening immigrants. And you brought up a good point about losing the security for some of the former leaders and friends of Donald Trump and people who were in power because now there's no security for them. And we know that for the last four years, The gates of Troy have been opened by the Biden administration, and all or many of these illegal immigrants that are here are terrorists. That can do us harm.
Absolutely. And the guys on the FBI watch list that were allowed in anyway. That's a problem. And we saw what happened in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago. We're not forgetting that.
Thanks so much for the call, Bobby, and for your patience holding on. Here is more of J.D. Vance talking about those bishops. Cut 28. We are going to enforce immigration law.
We're going to protect the American people. Donald Trump promised to do that. And I believe the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, if they're worried about the humanitarian costs of immigration enforcement, let them talk about the children who have been sex trafficked because of the wide open border of Joe Biden. You personally have to do it.
Let them talk about people like Lake and Riley who were brutally murdered. I support us doing law enforcement against violent criminals, whether they're illegal immigrants or anybody else, in a way that keeps us safe. What Margaret Brennan doesn't understand fully is that their teenagers are members of MS-13 and this TDA Venezuelan group. They go to school, they lie about their age sometimes, but if you look at some of these gangsters, they're between 40 and 40. 14 and 17, real quick.
Corey in Toronto, Canada. Corey. Hi, Brian.
So I can vouch that the Liberal government has not invested enough in border security. And Trump is right that lots of illegal immigrants and terrorists and pedophiles flip to the border. And I vote for the Conservative Party of Canada. And I agree that Canada should that Trump should slap Canada with 25% tariffs as of February 1st. And Corey, I'll tell you what, you guys got to put money into your defense.
You spend just over 1% on your defense. I mean, come on. Look at the size of your country. And the other thing is, Trudeau did the worst thing possible. He resigned and stayed in power.
If he left, it would have been forced to have some type of an election. Instead, he's a lame duck doing nothing. I feel bad for Canada. Matt Continenti, next. The talk show that's getting you talking.
You're with Brian Kilmead.
President Trump is implementing this historic slate of reforms all across the U.S. government with a simple but remarkable message. The American people are in control of their government again. They elected Donald Trump and Donald Trump is implementing his mandate. And congressional Democrats, they don't know what to do.
They don't know what to say because they're on the wrong side of 90-10 issues. And the one thing the Democrats were saying all weekend, it's so easy to pick out the talking points now more than ever, is that Donald Trump promised to lower prices. And how come he hasn't done that yet? Really? Five days in.
He does a myriad of executive orders and executive actions, as well as pass the Lake and Riley Act under his leadership anyway, and goes and visits two disaster sites.
Well, why isn't he lowered prices? I think you need a Plan B. Matt Continenti is Director of Domestic Policy Studies and Neil Chair at the American Enterprise Institute, columnist at Commentary and founding editor of the Washington Free Beacon. Matt, welcome back. Your thought about President Trump's start.
Thanks, Brian. It's great to be back.
Well, first I'd say of the Democrats, it's good that they finally discovered inflation. Because just a week ago prior to Donald Trump taking office, the line from the Democrats was that, oh, the inflation is abating. Everything is fine. There's nothing to worry about.
Now five days into the Trump era, they're complaining that he hasn't brought prices down yet. They don't, it's another evidence. They don't quite understand how supply and demand works. It's going to take a little bit of time. to get these prices down.
But my overall assessment of this first week is that Trump is moving in the right direction. And I'm particularly interested in his policies on the economy and on immigration on the the economy. I think he grasps the essential point, Brian, which is you have to unleash American energy. And when you do that, when you lead to bountiful cheap energy, a lot of good things happen, including lowering prices. And then, of course, there's the immigration moves.
This is long overdue, and there's one big change between Trump one. and Trump two. In Trump II As he embarks on this plan to target the illegal alien criminals first and eventually correct. Our immigration problem and secure the southern border, he has the public behind him.
So I think it's off to a very good start for President Trump.
So you got the nominations and confirmations, and you have Christy Noem in, Pete Hakeseth in, and you have Marco Rubio in. We should get Scott Besson today. Here's Senator John Thune on the pace, cut 10.
Well, actually, we're ahead of schedule. We're going back to what is the Obama standard. Obama got 12 of his Cabinet nominees through in 15 days. It took Trump 43 days to get his first 12 through back in 2017.
So we are pushing hard, and obviously there are constraints that are imposed by the rules of the Senate. The minority of the Senate has ways it can slow things down and drag it out. But we're actually at the current point ahead of the Obama standard. And so we're going to keep moving aggressively, moving quickly, forcing people to stay and to take votes on weekends, which we did this weekend. And we'll get them in place as quickly as we possibly can.
And Wednesday, there's going to be Howard Luttnick, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Kelly Lawfloor. Thursday, Cash Patel and Tulsi Gabbard. When you look at RFK, Cash, and Tulsi, I think you're going to have some fireworks. Do you agree?
Oh, I do agree. I think these are going to be the most closely watched hearings this week, beginning with RFK Junior. And then on Thursday, the Gabbard and Patel hearings, Brian, from what I understand, are scheduled to go on at the same time.
So I think a lot of people in Washington will be multitasking watching these hearings. And we saw with the vote over Secretary of Defense Pete Hagsett this past weekend that there will be Republicans who will be skeptical of some of these nominees. Vice President J.D. Vance was able to break the tie, allowing Pete Hexet becomes a Secretary of Defense. But it's a reminder that you can only lose three Republicans.
uh and still get your nominees through. Right. And Mitch McConnell did, and Makowski did, and Susan Collins did. Forget about voting for Pete Exet. They didn't vote for him.
But we'll see what everybody else did get some bipartisan support for Christy Noam, Fetterman, Tim Kaine, Andy Kim, Gary Peters, Janine Shaheen, Elise Slotkin. chose to back her.
So I think that's a good sign. She should show up on time for her swearing in, which would be interesting. I loved President Trump out of the Pacific Palisades, seeing up close and personal, but when he gets there, Matt, He doesn't just show up with leaders, he talks to people. He finds out what's going on with them. And he did the same thing in North Carolina.
I've never seen anything quite like it. But I remember that he was very much like that in the first term. He would open up these meetings, whether it's on gun control or the border. Yeah, and we see it in the campaign too, Brian. Donald Trump is pretty interesting.
I mean, he's, of course, the reason everyone is paying attention, and yet he's also always willing to kind of seed the microphone to different People, including everyday people. And so then you had this amazing moment when he visited the site. Of the devastating hurricane in North Carolina, where he asked the survivors of the hurricane to come and talk about the problems they're facing. with FEMA. And I think that provides more backing when then President Trump says, you know, we have to take a serious look at FEMA and look at how ineffective they've been and maybe even move to a system where we devote more resources to the state-based emergency responders since they're local.
And it was the same thing when he visited Los Angeles later in the day, and especially with that exchange with LA Mayor Karen Bass, who's been heavily and rightly criticized for her handling of the wildfires. President Trump was talking about the f people he had met who had said that they were unable to clear the debris of their own problems. Let's hear this. Matthew, let's uh hear you cut 38.
It's all burned, it's gone, it's done, nothing's going to happen to it, it's not going to burn anymore, there's nothing to burn, there's almost nothing to burn. And they want to go in. The the people are all over the place. They're standing and they say, Why aren't you going in?
We're trying to get a permit and the permit's going to take 'em. Everybody said eighteen months So that's the real interchange that you hear about reportedly behind the scenes, things got testy. No, no, we saw it. There is no behind the scenes. No, not anymore.
And what you know, I think is so interesting about that exchange we just heard is it represents the two worldviews that are competing in American politics right now. You know, if Karen Bass, she's saying, oh, you have to follow the rules, you have to be safe. And what's the net result? All of this devastation and this ineffective government in Los Angeles. Donald Trump is being, as he puts it, commonsensical, saying, look, we.
eighteen months is too long to wait for a permit. If people are able to clear the debris themselves, it's their property, they should have the ability to do so. It's personal agency and responsibility. It's a great microcosm of what we're seeing. And of course, This past week, we have the Trump worldview emerging triumphant for now over the Democrats.
No question. And I think we're going to find out what happens. Finally, with the L.A. fires, I was struck. Pacific Palisade is one of the richest places in the world.
They spent $550 million in taxes in 24. $4.5 million as the average value of the House. You got 8,200 single-family residences. And they can't fix a reservoir which is supposed to feed their hydrants, which has been empty for over a year. They can't bury their lines and have conduits that would allow them to continue to get power should something devastating like this happen.
I mean, there should be some demand for some accountability on this. There should be, and I hope that's beginning and certainly with Looking at the mayor bass and governor Newsom. But I would say with California, you have. of liberal governance and liberals putting Forth, these social justice issues like welcoming illegal migration or buying into some of the climate hysteria and the net zero Green New Deal mentality. And they're putting those abstractions ahead of basic, effective government, making sure that the forests are managed, making sure the water goes to the places that need it, and making sure that insurance markets can operate.
Because of that, kind of. Reversal of priorities where they're placing the feel-good virtue signaling issues ahead of effective government, you have these terrible disasters like we're seeing play out in Southern California. The one thing I am not happy about, and I brought it up earlier, is the security clearance is being taken away for Mike Pompeo. For Brian Hook and for John Bolton. I mean, they basically put together that stunning plan to take out Solemani that helped the whole region become safer, and now they have a target on their back and they lose their Secret Service.
What are your thoughts?
Well, I think Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas put it well on Fox News Sunday. He said that he recommends that the President revisit this decision because the threat from Iran against these individuals remains real, just as the threat against President Trump remains real, because it was, of course, President Trump who ordered the killing of Qasem Soleimani back in his first term. I also think that maybe if the decision had been announced A little bit with a little bit more messaging behind it, saying that these individuals could afford private security, for example, the reaction would not be as intense as it was. But I do think that Senator Cotton put it well, and that this decision would be should be revisited by the President because. If something should happen to these individuals, God forbid.
Well, President Trump would pay a political price for sure. The other thing I think they're smarter about is getting the optics down on the border. There's going to be some uncomfortable video, no doubt about it, and some stills. I understand it. But last time, when they talked about child separation, they let the pictures tell the story, and it was an inaccurate story in many ways.
So now they are actually bringing security, inviting camera crews with them. They're going in with ICE. They're raiding situations and they're pulling people out. And I think 58% of the country are still supporting mass deportation. How do you think their attack on illegal immigrants is going?
Well, it's much more methodical than it was during the first term. And you're absolutely right, Brian, to mention the optics. I mean, we had this extraordinary scene where Tom Homan was with Dr. Phil at one of these raids where they are going after really the most dangerous illegal aliens in the country today. And all of that suggests that, again, how different Trump 2 is from Trump 1.
Obviously, it's the same president, but he has much more experience. He's had time to think about it. He also has a team around him who are on the same page as the president. They're not fighting against him. They're not squabbling with each other.
They understand that Donald Trump has a limited amount of time to To really get policies right, and that's what they're pursuing on so many levels. all at once. Right. Lastly, on TikTok, Mike Turner weighed in, and we should just know this, that we got to ban TikTok. It's not even a it's not even should not even be debatable.
A congressional A correction law was passed. Supreme Court held it up.
So, Mike Turner waited in yesterday, and he talked about. The need for them to die. You don't have to kill it. You have to divest. And the fact that they won't shows that they have no interest in anything but surveillance.
Cut 30. That means that Byte Dance needs to divest itself.
Now, Elon Musk has said something very interesting. He said, of course, he's noted that Twitter, his ex, does not have access to China. And that's sort of an admission by China as to what they're doing with TikTok. They won't let Twitter or ex in. Almost an admission as to what they're doing.
Also, ByteDance has said, well, we won't sell it. Another admission that it's really not a business. This is a propaganda tool, is an access to data. And it's an access to data. And once that news feed goes anti-Trump, when they get into the trade war in Panama with the war on the canal and the trade war with China or any type of A situation where Russia walks away from the table and he notices the news feed on TikTok is very, is not what he's actually going on, I think he'll realize.
Yes, that's right. And look, this is a law passed by the Congress, upheld by the Supreme Court. Donald Trump has said that he's going to give this period about 75 days to broker a deal that would sell TikTok to an American buyer. But I think the rub, Brian, is that. China's not going to want to sell it, and they're not going to want to sell its algorithm, which is so powerful.
And so at the end of the day, I do think TikTok days are numbered. And of course, you know, at the moment, you can't download the app on any of the app stores. And so that means already that TikTok's audience in the United States has reached a certain limit. Because they have to go along with the law. TikTok, the White House is in talks to have Oracle and some U.S.
investors take over TikTok. That's a story in NPR right now. Hopefully it's true. I know there's another group. Frank Picord is with Kevin O'Leary.
They got another group that says they can buy it, and they can keep their algorithm, too. Thanks so much, Matthew. We'll make sure to read all your commentary. You're the editor of the Washington Free Beacon. Thanks so much, Matt.
Exciting times. Exciting times, Brian. Thank you. All right, listen, we're going to wrap up this hour. I'll also have a couple announcements, so don't move.
It's Brian Killmeade. He's so busy, he'll make your head spin. It's Brian Kilmead. Most importantly, thank you for being here. It means a great deal to all of us.
Not just the folks in Palisades, the folks in Altadena that were devastated. We're going to need your support. We're going to need your help. You were there for us during COVID. I don't forget that.
And I have all the expectations that we'll be able to work together to get this speedy recovery. Gavin Newsom ambushed President Trump, although I knew it in the morning that he was going to be there in the tarmac, even though he wasn't invited. And Trump, to his face, said, Look, we'll work together when we can. But I know Speaker Johnson's thinking about making a contingency on doing some changes when it comes to water. There's federal authority that could be used to redirect that water from the north to the south.
That's an oversimplification. But I had Devin Nunes on One Nation on Saturday night, and he said, No, I went over with the president in detail six years ago about what was going on with Central California and the water that is going to the Pacific rather than going downstream because of different fish and environmental issues that they wanted to restore things to their indigenous ways rather than helping farmers in their ways, which is why a lot of those areas are red, even in California, even in California. And I think the president's going to stay on top of that. I think these people really need a break. And I think there's, as Politico says, and I'll paraphrase.
Politico says if Trump can keep it focused on what needs to be done, He has a chance of getting California ran again. Because that's how fed up they are with the governor, their leaders, the sanctuary city policies, the homeless first policies, the wasting of their taxpayer dollars, the relentless traffic that exists. I mean, Newport Beach has already said we're not a sanctuary city.
So if ICE wants to come in, we can come.
Meanwhile, Gavin Newsom made it a sanctuary state, so he's defying his own government. Terry, you're in Oklahoma City. Hey, Terry. Hey there, how are you, Mr. Kilmead?
Good to see you. I just thought it was. I just thought it was interesting that typically here in Oklahoma City, there's buses that are bringing illegals into the Oklahoma City metro, dropping them off. But today, they are actually loading people on those buses. I assume to take them back out.
That is awesome. That's fantastic. It's a good sign. Stewart in Oregon, TikTok, Stewart. What do you think?
I think it's an infringement on everybody, but especially some people don't know that TikTok takes or whatever gathers keystrokes so they can then in turn get the bank information from people. And this could be really devastating if all of a sudden people find out that they've lost their You know, money from their accounts all over the United States. And, you know, they could be, you know, combined into one stroke over there in China. And all of a sudden, people are finding out their bank accounts are empty. Yeah, we heard that.
We saw that in Canada. Thanks to it. Also, there's a reason why India and other nations have banned this because they see it as a spy device. Quick note: I'll be a history liberty last with Fox Nation on stage in Jacksonville, Florida, at the Florida Theater. That's coming up February 15th, March 22nd, St.

The reason behind this was financial gain. Or so it seemed. These two brothers should be out of prison by now. I don't see how the years of sexual, physical, and mental abuse amount to life without parole. Listen and follow at FoxtrueCrime.com or wherever you get your favorite podcasts.
