The devastating California wildfires have left thousands of structures destroyed and many lives lost, with critics pointing to the incompetence and lack of preparation from local leaders, including Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has been sentenced to an unconditional discharge in a New York case, and Senator John Fetterman has visited Mar-a-Lago to discuss potential policy changes. As the country grapples with these issues, politicians are being called out for their handling of the crisis and their willingness to work across party lines.

From the Fox News Radio Studios in Midtown Manhattan, it's the fastest growing radio talk show. Brian Kilmead. Hi, everyone.

So glad you're here. Brian Killmee Joe coming your way in an action pack week, some good action, some really disturbing action. I think you know where the line is drawn. Ben Dominic is standing by, Tyrus at the bottom of the hour. And of course, a lot going on locally that maybe is unrelated just today.

NASA is going to have a news conference for the upcoming U.S. spacewalks. That'll be cool. Climate researchers for NASA will host a media briefing. Of course, blame everything on that.

And the president convenes with key officials for a briefing on the federal response he has directed on the wildfires. You know, the President Biden, who's been so on top of things. Oh, by the way, the word is, and people are looking into it, that when he was flying in, he actually grounded, just for precautions on security, all other flights. While Los Angeles is birding, President Biden's in to see his great-grandfather. Great-granddaughter.

Unbelievable. If that is a fact holds up. Let's get to the big three.

Now with the stories you need to know, it's Brian's big three. Number three. I am not the senator for just Democrats in Pennsylvania. I'm everyone's senator in Pennsylvania. And so it's just having a conversation.

How great is that? Democratic Senator Fetterman doesn't care, doesn't matter. He was invited to Mar-a-Lago and he's going. Trump in transition, or should I say, his enemies are. It seems not only are his rivals accepting him, they're showing signs of helping him.

and in turn, helping the country. Number two. The division on that court really does reflect how troubling the case is overall. What the this trial level judge has done in Manhattan is to hold a presidential candidate first, now a president-elect, to his courtroom on a short leash. Once sentenced, Donald Trump is officially a convicted felon for a sham case in New York City, which ironically helped him win back the Presidency.

At least he'll now, after this morning, be set up for an appeal. Number one. Why are water systems, why is Department of Water and Power, you know, saying that the reservoirs, you know, can't handle this? Where's the backup system for that? There's a lot of questions that need to be asked of these quote-unquote leaders.

Ten dead. Sadly, that number will go up. 10,000 structures in Southern California have been destroyed. Sadly, that number will grow up. We're going to look at the scope of this mind-boggling destruction and the incomprehensible incompetence of the mayor and governors and their underlings and their officials.

Los Angeles has been left out to burn. Ben Dominich joins us now, Fox News, contributor, editor-at-large, for the Spectator World, host of the Ben Dominich podcast. Ben, I have never seen such universal agreement of the incompetence and lack of preparation from local leaders. Have you? You know, I I really Yeah.

Something that is on this level. I mean, the, you know, the truth is that you can make comparisons to Katrina, but that was really more about after action. This is about everything. You know, meaning the facts that you have, and when you look at the approach from Pierre and Bath, people are focused on the 17 plus, you know, almost 20 million that she struck from the fire department budget. But the actual story begins earlier than that.

You look back a couple of years, back when Gavin Newsom claimed that 90,000 acres were being treated in order to deal with things where you do these forest thing. And I should say as a preface, Brian, both of my parents are foresters.

So I grew up around this stuff and they have strong opinions about it. You have to clear the underbrush. And it's become controversial because environmentalists basically say this is nature. It should allow to be, you know, it should be performed naturally and it goes through these cycles. And if you do this, it's going to be bad for the rodents in the area and things like that.

But you end up with all this tinder, this dried-out tinder that's under. These forests, a dry brush that has to be cleared in order to prevent this kind of disaster from happening. Back in 2021, Gavin Newsom claimed that 90,000 acres had been treated by their wildfire prevention approach. In fact, it was less than 12,000 acres. And this is, by the way, according both to local researchers and to a national public radio report.

This is not some partisan perspective. He did not live up to his obligation. And in addition to that, he slashed about $150 million from the wildfire prevention budget in California.

So just for, you know, set aside when people say this is politicizing something. No, it isn't. This is about responsibility.

Okay. It doesn't matter if Gavin Newsom had an R after his name or Kieran Bass had an R after her name. This is something that they have to do as local officials. They are the chain of command over this. And their decisions led directly to this possibility being real.

It's something that they could have anticipated because everyone was telling them it could happen. And so they have no excuse. From my perspective, Brian, this is just an absolutely horrific situation. Our hearts go out to all the people who are there, but this is a consequence of having leaders who care more about showing Donald Trump up on the national stage, getting plaudits from rich lefties across the country and the like, and then they do about doing their job. Do your job.

So Justine Bateman. From What was the name of that series they were showing? Michael J. Fox. I cannot believe I'm forgetting it.

Uh Well, we know this. You know, Brother Jason, Jesse Bateman, now a filmmaker of the Family Ties. I don't know what I'm thinking. Yeah, I thought it was a lovely. I told you in Family Ties, so I didn't want to show you up where I was.

No, no, I prefer to be shown up. It's called Friday, so that's every day.

So here's what she said last night to Jesse. I thought this really nailed it. Cut 19. I'm pretty pissed, and I think a lot of people in Los Angeles are pissed. Um you know, if you are going to run a city or run a state.

You have to take care of the basics, and that's make sure that your fire and your police department are well funded. Make sure that you have not only plans if there are emergencies in your area, you have rehearsed them, but also you have plans to mitigate the problems that you know are going to happen in that area. And for us, it's fire, earthquake, rain, and consequent mudslides. And if you're not doing everything you can to take care of those problems if they arise. Then get Out.

So, you are useless to us. Right. And by the way, this is going to be a growing sentiment because did you see Pacific Palisades? If everyone at home, I know if you, every of you, definitely, if you're online, you have an iPhone, just take a look. There's nothing there.

I mean, it's not even worth it they just the whole neighborhood's kinda it's if nothing was there.

So I'm not sure, Brian, that we're going to see that rebuilt in our lifetimes. I mean, this is just utter devastation. And I think that this is the kind of situation here where there's an opportunity for. Republicans.

Now, look, you know, we've paid attention to the fact that Republican wins in key House districts across the state of California, even if it's off the table when it comes to national politics for the presidential and for winning statewide, just given the realities of the situation. Those seats have made the difference in terms of Republicans holding the House majority along with the seats in New York. And I think that it's incumbent upon the House Republican majority right now to understand they should take action on this because there needs to be consequences. And local California Democrats can't be counted on to do that. There needs to be consequences.

And those consequences, I think, should include things that even go as far as putting LA into receivership in terms of the policy perspective. They have to be forced and compelled to do the things that they haven't wanted to do. And Justine Bateman is completely right. This is a situation where if you can't do these basic things, And who cares what your position is on reparations? Who cares what your position is on DEI?

Who cares what you have to do when it. Comes to all these different liberal fantasy projects. You have to fulfill the basic obligations of your job, and that's to keep your people safe and secure, to keep them, to prevent the kind of crime, the kind of disasters that we've seen happen all across the country in some of these jurisdictions, very sadly. But this is particularly, this is the worst one yet in terms of an indictment of the leftist perspective on government, which has made them take their eye off the ball off the things that actually matter to the people who live and who they are supposed to represent.

So, on another note, I just want to talk about politics if I can. It's been amazing what's happened in Mar-a-Lago. You know, we watched Jeff Bezos go down. Elon Musk has been in for the last six months. And then we have Mark Zuckerberg make his revelations about Facebook and the changes he's going to make.

They actually now sit on our couch this week, and Zuckerberg put it out on a tape. And he's been down to Mar-a-Lago, too. They're all donating to the president's inaugural fund. It's over $140 million. It's some ridiculous number now.

So the president did something else. He invited a Democrat down. There, John Fetterman, and guess what? He said yes, cut 34. conversation like he's the president he's gonna be so you know I am not the senator for just Democrats in Pennsylvania I'm everyone senator in Pennsylvania and so it's just having a conversation with with the president Then he co-sponsored the Lake and Riley Act.

So, this is, I think this is a big deal. What do you think? How much is this honeymoon? And how much is this change? I think it is a dramatic change.

You see the forty-eight Democrats who crossed over to vote for the Lake and Riley Act in the House. You see the the s simply the fanged nature of the far left on this point. And I think that when you hear Federman talking, you need to understand that one of the things that's so important about these guys is that they've shown up in the last two years. They've shown up, you know, uh uh as freshmen this time around. They don't have necessarily the same attitude toward Donald Trump that the people who were here back in twenty sixteen do.

And the progressive wackos have really be been defanged. They do not have the same kind of power that they once did in terms of preventing people from working across partisan lines. And there's something else, too. You mentioned the attitudes of those different leaders attack. That's connected to what we see going on in California right now.

They're fed up with Democratic incompetence in the state that they once called home for almost all of these different corporations. There's included in his announcement was Zuckerberg's announcement that he would move a number of staffers within their team to Texas instead of California. And that's something that has been happening steadily and it's going to continue to happen. Because they've gotten tired of these leftist governments that are coming down and coming into their business that are suing them over HR issues, that are suing them over hiring policies and the like. And they would rather be living under a circumstance where they can actually do the business that they want to do.

There was a quote this week, by the way, that I want to read to you real quick, Brian. The reason why I think some oftentimes Democrats occasionally lose elections is because we're too reflexively anti-Republican. We don't lean into an ambitious vision for working class Americans strongly enough. You know who said that? AOC.

AOC is more clear-eyed on this than some of her Democratic colleagues.

Okay, and so the atom shift approach to the way that they treated Donald Trump the first time around, I don't think that that's going to be something that everybody's locked step in. And I'm curious to see what that means for this new agenda and for this new administration. Because I think it opens up a lot of opportunities that were not there for them the first time around. And lastly, at the funeral that I know you you know, you guys, you have a family, especially the McCain family. John McCain had this huge funeral.

I would argue that it was like a presidential funeral because so many people wanted to get tribute to his life.

So all presidents showed up, and just the dynamics were incredible. You saw Tamo Harris shoot bad looks at Trump and Obama talking. You saw an icy stare from Karen Pence and Mike Pence shaking hands. Al Gore tried to stare President Trump down too. But then you saw Trump and Obama talking like two old high school friends.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Trump was asked about this last night. Listen to this. Got 33. What were you talking to Barack Obama about?

It did look very friendly, I must say. I didn't realize how friendly it looked. I saw it on your wonderful network just a little while ago before I came in, and I said, boy, they look like two people that like each other. And we probably do. We have little different philosophies, right?

But we probably do. I don't know, we just got along. But I got along with. Just about everybody on that, uh we you know, we met backstage, as you know, before we One on. And I thought it was a beautiful service, but we all got along very well.

I didn't know that about backstage. Interesting, right? What's your thoughts about this? Tell me Ben Dominic's reality check.

Well, the reality check, of course, is that there's no love lost. from Barack Obama towards Donald Trump. And I think Donald Trump, you know, having been vindicated and feeling that he's been vindicated, I think Barack Obama has been far more of a political realist. than a lot of the other people who are on the left. And so because of that, he recognizes that the the party now is in a different position.

He, I think, probably has his own criticisms of everything that was done under the past couple of rounds of campaigning. And there's this idea that Barack Obama And Donald Trump, because they have such animosity towards each other in the past, that they, even they, you know, would not be incapable of working together. But there's also, I think, a mutual respect there. We've heard the respect that Bill Clinton has for Donald Trump, the acknowledgement. And so, skilled politicians, there's a way that when they come together, besides the fact that they have real ideological disagreement, they're able to get along because they've both been through fiery situations.

And I think that this was actually a very healthy thing to happen and perhaps will tone down on this attitude among the resistance crew that there's no way that you can work with or even be in the same room as Donald Trump. Yeah, it's fascinating because he basically, 10 minutes ago, he called him a Nazi. But I guess pretty much I would hold on to that a little bit longer. But in my view, if Barack Obama and Seth Meyers don't go after Trump at that correspondence dinner, perhaps he doesn't run. Yeah, it's one of the biggest butterfly effects stories in history, Brian.

Little did they know what was going to happen because of what they did at that moment. And I think that now there's a little bit of ability. There's a gleam of a fact that I think we can move beyond that. And for rational Democrats, for people who are political realists, and for people like John Fetterman who want to represent their whole state, swing states, I think that you're going to continue to see movement toward him and, frankly, the opportunity to work together across party lines. But that's something conservatives also need to be guarding against in some instances because they don't want to see policy shifts where Democrats are trying to manipulate this White House into doing things or avoiding doing things that they'd rather not have them do.

Understood. Ben Dominic, we got the warnings, and it's just an interesting time. Ben Dominic, thanks so much. Great to be with you. Back in a moment.

The more you listen, the more you'll know it's Brian Kilmead. That was my daughter's school, Governor. Please tell me what you're gonna do.

I'm not gonna hurt him, I promise. I'm literally talking to the president right now to specifically answer the question of what we can do for you and your daughter. Can I hear it? Can I hear your call? Because I don't believe it.

I'm sorry. There's literally. I've tried five times. That's why I'm walking around to make sure that. Why is the president not taking your call?

Because it's not going through, so I have to get self-service. Right. She knew he was lying, and he was. And she looked at his phone and told Jesse last night that it wasn't one of his recent calls.

So, when she looked at it, and she also brought up a great point. She said, I was with the news crew. I convinced them to bring me up to see my house. And when she was there, they had a satellite phone. Why does the governor not have a satellite phone?

Bill Melusian in reporting has a satellite phone. Why is the governor trying to make a call on his cell phone? Or was he trying to look busy? Either way, he looked ridiculous. He's overwhelmed by all of this.

He's got no plan. He's got no excuses. He's not in motion. He's not solving problems. He's blaming people for problems.

And it's just pointing out the incompetence. Yeah, he looks the part. He looks like he could be playing president or governor of a major state. Got it. But he's terrible.

And I was talking to another governor, said that, and he said this before.

Well, Joe Biden, actually, when Joe Biden was running, and it looked like he was going to get the nomination, I said, You don't think that Newsom's going to just pull in there? And he said, Brian, I was told to have a meeting with Newsom. And you just get to know him because they thought he was an up and coming star. And this guy doesn't know anything about any policy. I said, well, is it because he was a mayor?

He goes, no. He has no interest. He wasn't asking me anything about New Jersey or anything about what's going on in New York or where Republicans are going for. This guy is all about him getting the next job. Problem is, you have to actually do the job.

And the agenda that he put forward, whether it's having people declare their own gender or maybe doing $50 million studies for reparations and then not following through on what they want to do and they shouldn't have had it anyway, to bragging about diversity among his fire department leadership and saying I'm going to solve the homeless problem and not doing it, he's been a failure. And now everybody knows it. If you're interested in it, Brian's talking about it. You're with Brian Kilmead. How crazy it is that they spent twenty-four Billion dollars last year on the homeless.

And What do they spend on preventing these wildfires? Zero zi zip. And then he gets on T V and pretends like everything's great. Mm-hmm. And I'm California's the best we have the best state.

We have the most amazing economy. I'm like, you're out of your fing mind, dude. You've ruined this state. And in twenty nineteen I think Newsome said, You know, I'm gonna take care of the forests and maintain the forests and do all that kind of stuff. He didn't do anything.

Didn't do anything. And then on top of that they cut the water off. Yeah, that's right. Yeah. It's all funny.

And then I think all our tax dollars probably went for Gavin's hair jail. I don't know, but it's like, you know, it's sad. Mel Gibson and Joe Rogan talking about the states. I think Mel Gibson left. Oh, actually, all his stuff burned.

So now he's going to make a decision whether he wants to get out of there. It's devastating. Over 10,000 structures, so many homes, lives, neighborhoods just gone. And you say to yourself, well, there's some things called natural disasters. You got Sandy, nobody's fault, but will you ready?

Then you have hurricanes hitting North Carolina in the mountains, unprecedented. It's no one's fault, but are you ready? I don't think that governor did a great job, especially compared to the governor in Florida, Governor DeSantis. Does anybody think that Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass were ready? We find out about these huge water tanks.

They say the first water tank was out in a few hours. The second one out by the end of the day. The third one was out by the next day. And by Thursday, there was no water in Pacific Palisades for firefighters to even open up the hydrants so they stopped. Please don't tell me that you had a plan.

Don't. Joining us now, Tyrus, Fox Nation host, author of Nuff Said, daily panelist and sometimes host of Gutfeld, host of Maintaining Tyrus on Outkick. And also, he's got some events coming up, too. He's stand-up comic. Tyrus, welcome back.

Always a pleasure, B.

So Tyrus, we wanted to open up with Rogan and Mel Gibson, just talking about the incompetence on the West Coast. Outside Katrina, do you ever remember More hope more. Anonymous feeling, more of an anonymous, unanimous feeling that these executives are over their heads and unprepared. Um well I think New Orleans echoed that as well, unfortunately. I grew up in California.

I moved to California from Boston when I was, I think, eight. And from the day I can remember, we every year, there was fire rules and wind rules. You wouldn't make a fire you wouldn't go camping during the windy season because you can't make a fire. There was never fireworks. You had drills.

If you saw somebody lighting matches, you're supposed to report them.

So it's not like this isn't something that Californians grow up with. And understand. And it's not like that we haven't had issues in California. with fires over the past decade. What's shocking is the The level of incompetence and arrogance from these officials.

That they spend so much time. On DEI stuff and diversity stuff and and dumping millions and millions of dollars into the homeless situation. Adam Pirolla made a great point. There's hundreds of thousands of Californians that are literally homeless now. and yet they're not sleeping under freeways.

and in intense They're part of the community. They have family, friends, and they're able to find places to go. They're able to evacuate places to go.

So there's a complete disconnect with you're dumping money on a group. that doesn't necessarily want to be helped. In that way, because they're either a drug addict, a criminal, or suffering severe mental health issues.

So there's no you're just throwing money away. It's virtue signaling and the money is going and I would love for a forensic accountant to look to see where that money is really going. You had the same thing in New York with the previous What is it? Mayor, I can't remember the tall, goofy guy no one liked. Yeah, where his wife spent what was in charge of $1 billion on the Thrive Foundation.

That nothing, nobody benefited. We don't know where the money is, and nobody's asking. And that's the problem. But also the other side of it, Californians, This is what you get when you vote for the the picture on the box. You know, this is what happens when your mayor.

Gets had 17 hours on a plane. to think of a way to Comfort. her constituents. She was silent, stared in the face because she couldn't think of who to blame. Um And that's and that's what it is.

They all pass the buck. And Newsom, I think the most telling video was the lady who ran him down as he was trying to get away from her. Tried to get in his car. His hand was on the doorknob, but she turned the corner and then he tried to tell her that he was on the phone with the president and then she said put him on speaker And he lied right to her face. Yeah, he goes, Yeah, well, I can't get through.

I can't get a signal, so I have to go. He didn't he was looking for a place to do a v uh interview where it would look like he was on the ground. He was boots on the ground. And I think that's what Californians have to figure out. You need to stop.

electing people based on the The boxes they check and hit the resume, hit someone that is that has. At least get in the game when it comes to wildfires in California and natural disasters. I remember. the San Francisco earthquake when I was growing up, Was a big deal, but it was unified.

Now, I remember there was that great picture. I think it was Will Clark carrying helping one of the children get out of the stadium, but there was a plan in place, and there was, you know, and it was. And it wasn't days after. Where you had the government officials coming out and talking in past tense, their press conference. I don't know what was worse with Bass.

The silent stare. Or the completely unintelligent press conference where she was talking like the fire hadn't got here yet.

So here it is. Listen to this. Cut 12. We did not see a single fire engine. We watched as Good Samaritans guided traffic.

There was fear and there was a lot of confusion. You were out of the country at the time. What explains this lack of preparation and rapid response? Let me just say, first and foremost, my number one focus and I think the focus of all of us here With one voice, is that we have to protect lives, we have to save lives, and we have to save homes. Rest assured that when that is done, when we are safe, When lives have been saved.

Enough. We'll go back and do a forensics on what went wrong. I don't believe for a second that those water tanks were full, number one. And number two is the president said that the electric went off and the pump stopped. That's why the hydrants didn't get anything.

Did you tell the governor that, genius? Because he's never said a word about that. Where'd you get that from? The part that I love the best was that she was re reading her prepared statement. Not the question.

As if and the reporter did a great job and I'm glad to see maybe because the journalist was affected, that they're asking follow up questions of the left again. And he hit her with it's too late, it already happened. And she's like, let me finish. She had to be aggressive. And, you know, because he was being misogynistic, I guess, by questioning her.

I guess no one told her that she was the friggin mayor. And she kept going with her statement, and that's perfect. it off. And this is a growing trend again. New Orleans, the nightmare, where, and then you get the politician is in there and they say, well, we had a plan.

But the the terrorists beat our plane in New Orleans. Yeah, so and then I guess now the mayor's gonna say we had a plan. But the fire beat our plan.

So I I like they have an excuse for everything. And what the best part is when you catch them unprepared. You see exactly what you voted for. There was no No fire. No.

And I mean, and I hate to use the word. There was no fire in her. Like, we're going to fix this. And I've been on the plane for seven. What were you doing on the plane for 17 hours that you couldn't come up with a way to say you were sorry?

I mean, the only thing we didn't get was their patented thoughts and prayers. Which, by the way, I can't even hear again, but I'm going to say this: Karen Bass declared a state of emergency, then went on a 17-hour plane ride to a country that only could benefit her because nobody in Los Angeles wants her to go represent LA in Ghana during an inaugural. And one of the reasons she wasn't the vice presidential nominee over Kamala Harris is because she had this little communist problem. She seems to like Castro, seemed to love Chavez, and they go, Well, that's going to be a tough shot to get out of. We'll probably have to pick Kamala Harris.

This woman is a mess. You know, sometimes, Tyrus, there are things you could try really hard at. You just don't have the proclivity. You don't want me working on your house. You definitely don't want me changing your oil.

And I'll try, but I'll do a bad job. She should not be a politician. Neither should Harris. Whatever you think about Elizabeth Warren, she's a politician. She can speak.

Whatever you think about AOC, she knows what she's doing. You might not agree with her, but they're doing the right thing in their life. She should not, she wants to be the Queen of England. She wants the respect, title, and power. She doesn't want to do the job.

It was given to her based on, again, the boxes and You hate to say, but here's the thing: even if I knew that you. Working on my house, but you, your effort was there. Like, listen, I don't know a straight angle. Uh From a circle, but I'm here and I'm going to get somebody that can do this. I'm going to find, I'm going to, I'll search, I'll have my people find.

There's an effort there. But again, as mayor of California, your two biggest issues is fire and crime. and they have failed miserably at that. And what the biggest one of the biggest problems during these fires that are still I think last time I checked, I think they were at six percent contained. Depends on it's like six different ones.

Some some are doing uh there's some that are doing better than others. Yeah, but It's the looters. It's the criminal element that is now Discouraging looking for these houses that are left and banks that are, and again. Because they're involved in They could go in the Beverly Hills with a hammer and go on a shopping spree, and no one could do anything. And now they're, you know, and then here's the problem: these homeowners are now wanting to risk their own well-being to see, to go protect what's left of their home.

from other Californians. Like, this is the state of anarchy that the state that I love, that I grew up in, and California was a place, it was one of the coolest places in the world. You know why? Because you could literally go to the beach on Saturday, go to the mountains on Sunday, Monday, hit the desert, you know, and then go down and be in the city. It had everything for everyone.

And they have turned it into, and it is just. It's successful. Venice, the place where I got my big break and where I trained to lift weights, and all and it was one of the places where I got my big break in entertainment and stuff. I can't bring my kids there to show them the wall with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno and all you know the great and the actors and the history because I gotta walk through Homeless Row. To get there.

And I'm not subjecting my kids to that. Bus stops are hotels. And, you know, you see, you know, The drug addicts everywhere. It's it's horrible. Right.

So when you say. You've let this plague, at one point, Dr. Drew was concerned about bubonic plague in California.

So I mean this is what has these guys have done, but there's never eyes on it. New Orleans, even worse. No one ever questioned the mayor is corrupt. The lady has a career of ineptness, but they always seem to find each other. And now we've had horrible things happen, and their best answer is.

Well, uh, President Trump's making it political. You're damn right, it's political.

Well, you know what they say about addicts? You got to hit rock bottom. You have no other options, then you got to make choices. This could be the rock bottom where people turn around and say, as Justine Batesman said last night to Jesse, he goes, We got to stop looking at an RD next to their name and look at competence. And I look at this guy, Rick Caruso.

I can't do his unauthorized biography, but do you know he was president of water and gas? As well as being a self-made multimillionaire. Don't you want that guy? Do you know that he hired his own fired fighters? Whatever you think of that, just in case to take care of Pacific Palisides, whatever his community is that he bought and now rents and what they made, this own condo center.

Do you know not one of those buildings burned? Because listen, you don't want me as mayor, that's fine. But if I'm going to go back to my business, I'm going to make sure my people survive any calamity.

So he had his private firefighters. He said the whole water system of Antiqued is underfinanced, and he knew it. Hey, people of Los Angeles, you had your choice. They're both Democrats. You could have had the business executive Or you instead you have the failed congresswoman.

And you got her. We had Go at it. And now you have the results. Hopefully, people make some decisions on competence. I appreciate you joining me.

When are we going to see you again, Tyrus? Uh I think I'm back in the airways, I think, Tuesday. And tonight I've got a stand-up show in Connecticut. Um is it sold out? Where is it?

Yeah, it's sold out. All I know is I have about 45 events.

So I know I'm in Connecticut tonight in New Hampshire tomorrow. Where do we go to see you on stage? Where do we put websites? You just hit my Twitter up or my Instagram.

Okay. And you click on the link tree at Tyrus Smash, and they'll have all the dates and everything where it's at. All right. Tyrus, thanks so much. Always appreciate it.

We'll see you in the halls next week. Yes, sir. All right. Listen, we're back in a moment. I'll take your calls for the first time: 1-866-408-7669.

It's a little bit late. It turns out censusing of President Trump is underway. He's there virtually, and I think he has an opportunity to speak. No word if he's doing it yet. We'll provide the analysis, the play-by-play.

It's Friday, Brian Kilmeet Show. That's it. Giving you everything you need to know. You're with Brian Kilmead. Radio that makes you think.

This is the Brian Kill Me Show.

Well, they called for an appeal, and as you know, they acknowledged what the judge said. About No penalty, and there is really no penalty. But we're going to appeal anyway, just psychologically, because frankly, it's a disgrace. It's a judge that shouldn't have been on the case. He's a highly conflicted judge.

And uh Frank and they called for an appeal.

So I read it and I thought it was a fair decision, actually.

So I'll do my little thing tomorrow. They can have fun with their political opponent. As you know, I'm under a gag order from a judge. This is the first. This was an attack of a political opponent.

And uh if you take a look at it, I'm not supposed to be talking about it, so I won't.

So far, we understand it's underway. The actual sentencing, it's not supposed to be any jail time. It'd be interesting if they change his mind. But it looks like prosecutors get to speak next, and then Donald Trump will have a chance to speak virtually. I guess he's at Mar-a-Lago in West Palm Beach.

At which time, I wonder if the gag order is going to be lifted because then he can go off on it. I wouldn't if I'm him, and I would recommend he didn't, because he's got to put together an appeal. At which time, you could bring up everything with immunity, along with the validity of the case. These are misdemeanors that were Frankenstein together to be a felony in a court that was clearly biased with a judge that it clearly was biased. And hopefully, the appeals court will realize that and this whole thing will be reversed.

The irony of the whole thing, in my view, is the fact is when that court case happened, he dominated the news for three and a half weeks. He took a break during Memorial Day and came back. Do you know what was happening? It was the beginning of the Republican nomination process. You had Iowa, you had New Hampshire, and you know what the candidates were asked about Trump.

Trump in his trial. They weren't asked about what kind of president you would be, Governor DeSantis, Governor Haley, Bassett Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy. No. It was all about Trump.

So this ridiculous case that was meant and brought to embarrass the President. Actually, made him president, in my view. Here's Jonathan Turley, cut 24. The division on that court really does reflect how troubling the case is overall. What this trial-level judge has done in Manhattan is to hold a presidential candidate first, now a president-elect, to his courtroom on a short leash.

This is the same judge that gagged the leading candidate for president in a campaign where his case was one of the issues of most concern with voters. And it obviously is an equal concern among at least four justices. And so far, the prosecutors came out and said some horrible things about the president, who, by the way, they all agree on should not be in jail. But, you know, he has no respect for the prosecutors or the judge. And I don't know if you've met President Trump or been tracking him.

He tends to speak his mind. You listen to the Brian Kill Meet Joe. In 10 days, by the way, he'll be president again. From high atop Fox News headquarters in New York City, always seeking solutions, never sowing division. It's Brian.

Kill me. From 48 and 6 in Midtown Manhattan, heard around the country, around the world, we're congesting pricing. If you want to come see me now, it's going to cost $9 if you want to take your car. That's how important I am. New York, again, unprecedented.

Big Christmas trees, lots of fees. It's going to cost you about $25 to get. The back and forth through the tunnel, and then if you want to come to the middle of the city by car, let alone how much it costs to park, it's going to be nine dollars both ways. First in the country. Sadly, this number is going to be doubled and it's going to come to a city near you.

This hour, we're going to be joined by Steve Hilton. He's talked about running for governor. Mr. Gavin Newsom is term limited out and he's got maybe three supporters left. Maybe this is the time for a Republican.

Tommy Lairn has not talked about running for office. One of the few Fox contributors and hosts not going to the White House. And I'm happy for that.

So before we get to Tommy, let's get to the big three.

Now, with the stories you need to know, it's Brian's big three. Number three. I am not the senator for just Democrats in Pennsylvania. I'm everyone's senator in Pennsylvania. And so it's just having a conversation.

Real that's Senator Fetterman going to Mar-a-Lago with his hoodie. Trump in transition, or should I say, his enemies are. It seems not only are his rivals accepting him, they're showing signs of helping him and in turn, helping the country. Number two, the division on that court really does reflect how troubling the case is overall. What this trial-level judge has done in Manhattan is to hold a presidential candidate first, now a president-elect, to his courtroom on a short leash.

That is Jonathan Turley. And right now, we're watching the trial go on with President Trump being sentenced. He's getting a chance to speak. I think he's doing it. We already heard the prosecutors speak, made him the worst person in the history of the world, who, by the way, is running for president and ran and won again.

Once sentenced, Donald Trump is officially a convicted felon for a sham case in New York City, which ironically helped him win back the presidency. I'll explain. Number Why are water systems, why is Department of Water and Power saying that the reservoirs can't handle this? Where's the backup system for that? There's a lot of questions that need to be asked of these quote-unquote leaders.

Former firefighter John Knox, who lost his job because he didn't want to get vaccinated. Suspect scooped up. Yep, the possible arsonist, or one of the arsonists, caught with a blowtorch in his hand, and he was homeless. I'm not sure who started all the blazes, but that's at least one. 10 lives lost, 10,000 structures burned.

And we'll find out what's happening. It's incomprehensible incompetence. And when we talk to Tommy Laron, I talked to somebody intimately involved who knows Los Angeles, who knows California. Tommy, you have a lot of friends out there. What are your thoughts about what's been happening since Monday?

Well, listen, it's complete and total mismanagement from the top down. And I don't even just mean Gavin Newsome, I mean Joe Biden, Gavin Newsome, Mayor Karen Bass. It's a mess. And everybody knows that Los Angeles is a mess. But I think for so long, a lot of my friends in LA that are maybe more on the liberal side live in LA.

It's sunny outside. They pay their taxes. They know that there's homeless everywhere. But they're willing to overlook a lot of the mismanagement until their homes and communities burn down. In which case, they start saying, you know what, this is now directly impacting me and it's unavoidable.

So I think you're going to see a lot of folks. Right now, that are starting to change their mind, realizing maybe voting Democrat every single election is not working out so well. Here's what Justine Bateman said. We remember from that 1970s hit. What was that name of Keith?

I'm forgetting. Family ties. Why do I forget that? Justine Bateman, now she's a filmmaker and an author, said this from Los Angeles where she lost everything. Cut 20.

Look, if somebody's competent and they've shown their competence and they have a D next to their name, fine, vote for them. If they have an R next to their name, who cares? Like, vote for them. Vote for somebody you think can do this job. I mean, are you checking whether or not there's an R and a D next to the name of the plumber you're gonna hire or your housekeeper or somebody to fix your car?

No. You're looking at their ratings. You're asking other people who have had experience with them. Do they do a good job? Please do that with the politicians.

Please. Or you see the results of it. And what she's saying is, hopefully, things will change because nobody thinks the mayor is prepared. No one thinks the governor cares. And the firefighter is overwhelmed, understaffed, with not enough equipment and without water.

I mean, Tommy, how does this happen? It's remarkable that this could possibly happen in the fifth largest economy in the world, California, which is something that Gavin Newsom likes to remind folks every time we talk about the failures of California. He reminds everyone: we're the fifth largest economy. You're the fifth largest economy. You're managing a fire like you're the third world.

And right now, your state looks like the third world. And you know, coming back to this homeless problem, this is something that people in LA don't want to talk about, at least out loud. They talk about it to each other, but they don't want to talk about it out loud in other circles. The homeless problem has exploded to such a level where you're going to see this happen more and more. This was a perfect storm with the low humidity and the winds, but a lot of folks don't know that there are fires set every day by homeless people in LA County, whether it's because they're starting a fire for warmth, whether they're starting one as a campfire, or whether they're fighting one another in their tents, which I've seen firsthand.

This happens all the time, and now you're seeing the repercussions of that.

So, not only do you have mismanagement of water and resources, Resources and staff and budget. You also have mismanagement of the $24 billion they spent on the homeless crisis. This couldn't be anymore, California, Brian. A lot of people are not coming back. I mean, why would you?

Because, you know, I'm thinking about this. You know, you still got to pay your taxes. You have no house. You still got to pay your, I guess, your fees if you live in a condo or a co-op. Still got to make your, I imagine still paying your fees or else they'll destroy your credit.

Of course, they're uninsurable now. State Farm is one of the insurance firms that came out and said, I can't. It doesn't make financial sense for me to be able to insure these people without you letting me raise my rates. And the state said, no, you're not going to be allowed. They said, good, I quit your state.

So that's why so many people really now have to be on federal assistance if they want to rebuild, and they'll never get it back. I should share with the audience this. Donald Trump was just officially sentenced by Juan Mersan in New York, and he's got a Unconditional discharge, no prison, no probation, no conditions. And I wonder what that sentence would have been had he lost the election. Having said that, he's now all his enemies can say convicted felon.

Does it matter, Tommy Laron? It doesn't matter at all. And in fact, I think this is a triumph, and I think you should wear it like a badge of honor. There's a reason that that mugshot, of course, not related to this, but related to Georgia, that mugshot was huge for Donald Trump. And I believe that that mugshot is one of the reasons he won that primary in just such a crushing way, right?

I think people look at this. They see him as their martyr, their warrior, and they feel like if it can happen to him, it can happen to me. But you know what? The other part of that is he beat it. He beat it, and he beat it overwhelmingly with the support of the American people behind him.

And this is an American comeback, but it's an American success story.

So, you know, they had to try to save faith in New York. They're wasting the people's money and all of this. They have egg on their face. They think that they've now saved faith by being able to label him a convicted felon. He's the winner here.

The American people won. And as soon as he gets inaugurated on January 20th, all of this is going to end.

So I want you to hear, I think you did you watch any of the Jimmy Carter funeral? I did watch the Jimmy Carter funeral, and I especially enjoyed the interaction of all of the world leaders and the leaders and former presidents interacting. That was probably one of the highlights of that coverage, I should say. How do you explain? What's your theory on why They seem to get along.

They seem at least at that funeral to be really enjoying each other's company. I'm talking about Barack Obama and Donald Trump.

Well, listen, I think the bigger story is how people really don't seem to interact with Vice President Kamala Harris. I mean, they really tossed her out in the cold. I don't think Obama hates Trump. I think he had to do what he had to do because he had to get Kamala elected. He had to get Joe elected.

I don't think he actually hates Donald Trump, to be honest. And I think that they otherwise might have even a decent relationship because they're two kind of nice. Easy-going guys, you know, for all intents and purposes. But Kamala, boy, nobody wanted to deal with Kamala. She was the leper of the group.

And I thought that that was the big bombshell of that whole affair. Evidently, he said, here's what Donald Trump said last night after meeting with Republican governors, Cut 33.

Just about everybody, and that we, you know, we met backstages, you know, before we. One on. And I thought it was a beautiful service, but we all got along very well. So so this is surreal to a lot of people who don't understand how Joe Biden can meet with Trump after you called him Hitler and basically Obama said worse.

And mocked him, and really is responsible, in my view, in that Washington correspondence dinner for him deciding to become president or run for president. How do you explain this? What should everyone know about these politicians? Should we think that there's really no sincerity there? It's all phony.

It's all a lie. And you know what? I think before they all had to have this disdain for Donald Trump because that was the cool thing to be anti-Trump. We remember in 2017, the inauguration, the women's march, the BLM, everyone hated Donald Trump. And that was a battle cry that was popular.

It's not popular anymore.

So now, just like everybody else, just like all these other rabid Democrats who are coming around, they can finally admit, hey, this guy actually isn't so bad. He's on the other side of the aisle, but he's not all these things we said he was. And now we're not going to say he's all these things because it's not popular anymore. They go with the wind, whatever public opinion. If people hated Trump right now, they would still call him a fascist.

But people love Trump. They know it. They look stupid.

So now they have to drop the mask, at least for a little while. All right. And I think it's going to be fascinating to see with Fetterman, how Fetterman fits in at Mar-a-Lago. I wonder if he's going to cut the sleeves off his hoodie to fit in in Palm Beach. It's going to be hot.

I hope he makes the adjustment because he doesn't make the adjustment in Washington. Yeah, you know, I think the Palm Beach attire is usually a lily pulitzer. I think that's what they wear a lot of there. I don't know if he can find a hoodie by that designer with the beautiful florals, but I would love to see it, Brian. I think that would be a great look.

I'll keep you up to date on any fashion updates that we get here at Fox News headquarters. Tommy, we'll look forward to checking you out on Tommy Larin is Fearless on Outkick. Thanks so much, Tommy. Thanks, Brian. Talk to you soon.

Bottom of the hour, a man that wants to be the next governor, perhaps, of California, Steve Hilton from California, will join us. But next, we'll get your comments and questions: 1-866-408-7669. Or you can write me BrianKilmead.com. Don't move. Diving deep into today's top stories.

It's Brian Kilmead. Breaking news, unique opinions. Hear it all on the Brian Kill Me Joe. You know, I've been with the fire service for 23 years. Never had a blemish.

Um A good employee. I've seen the fire service go through its ups and downs, but currently at this point, I've never seen morale. In such a poor state. And it's not just here in Los Angeles, it's across the country. And in reality, it did start in COVID.

That was the beginning. of uh a lot of the problems we're seeing right now.

So that is a former firefighter who was told, get the vaccine or you're going to lose your job.

So he lost his job and he was in the prime of his career, Los Angeles firefighter. And he just said, quit. He said, all right, after 23 years, I'm out. I'm done. I'm finished.

I'm through. And they're lost. They lost a lot of great people. They did the same thing in New York, and I think the courts have made them rehire them back. They should, along with paying them for the money that they lost, although it comes out of city money.

So John Knox just said the attitude's terrible and the equipment's bad. He goes on, 15. The city got $1.9 billion in COVID relief funds. And my question is: where has all that money gone? That's a lot of money.

They're cutting the budget, as you mentioned earlier, to the fire department, leaving boots on the ground with less to work with, less apparatus. We're understaffed, so on and so forth. Yeah. Uh That's how you're going to get it. That's how you're going to get this story.

And if I'm a good chief executive of state. Or mayor of a city, I want these guys talking to me. Even though you're part of the reason why they're out of a job to begin with, so maybe in that case, I wouldn't. But if I was coming in for a fresh start, I'd go, Why did you guys leave? 23 years in, you look in great shape.

Why did you leave? What happened here? How depleted are the firehouses? What caused morale to drop? Where is the equipment?

Now, I'm pro-Ukraine. I believe they got to win this war. I love Zelensky. Many of you don't like either one of those statements. But if I'm in Los Angeles and I'm suffering with equipment and I got a graveyard full of fire engines and no mechanics, I'm probably saying, Can another state send the fire equipment?

I don't want to. Here's more from Knox, CUD16. Why are water systems, why is the Department of Water and Power saying that the reservoirs can't handle this, they can't refill it? I've heard now. Through sources that Um They lost power.

And if they lost power and those are on generators for pumping stations, where's the backup system for that? There's a lot of questions that need to be asked. um you know, of these quote unquote leaders. And I just got to make sure these guys get immunity to come out and step out and say because they're their neighbors and say, I'm in the Pacific Palisades. I watched this neighborhood burn.

I think I can save it. I put the hose onto the hydrant and there's no water. And the time 2 o'clock in the afternoon. When did it start? 10 o'clock.

You're out of water in four hours in the richest community in the country. That's not a problem. Of course it's a problem. Joe Rogan knew it, Cut 17. How crazy it is that they spent twenty-four.

Billion dollars last year on the homeless. And What do they spend on preventing these wildfires? Zip. And then he gets on TV and pretends like everything's great. And California is the best.

We have the best state. We have the most amazing economy. I'm like, you're out of your mind, dude. You ruined this state. Of course he did.

He's terrible. Again, just to review. Um We're soon going to get the, we'll be able to play the audio of Donald Trump, make it use his time to make some statements. Before his sentencing, which was unconditional discharge, no prison, no probation, no conditions. But it's historic.

The president-elect is convicted felon.

Now, I'm just wondering how many idiotic anchors, commentators, and politicians are going to say maybe Adam Schiff would do that, Nancy Pelosi would do that. But people know the quality of that trial, and there was no quality to the trial, except for wasn't worthy of it. It helped propel him to the presidency because of the inequity behind it. And the fact is, it should be ruining Alvin Bragg right now. And my hope is they all get kicked out.

Juan Russon can't get a table in New York City, and Alvin Bragg can't have a career after this because he shouldn't. But Donald Trump, this is the first negative thing that's happened to Trump since the day before the election. He's been on such a roll. And he knows it. And he feels it.

And why doesn't he deserve it? With the five indi four or five indictments, I lost track. With what happened after January 6th, which everybody knows I didn't like, and the documents that he took, and the investigation that followed. And now that Jack Smith is going to release the result of his investigation, but he already did 165 pages right before the election. But Trump's been on a roll.

Republicans are on board. Business executives are there. A lot of Hollywood celebrities are in, willing to come out from Hulk Hogan to Sylvester Stallone. Here is Trump last night just talking about, after meeting with Republican governors, how good this party feels. Cut 25.

The Republican Party has become a much bigger party. It's become a party for the worker. If you look at all of the union votes that I got, and when I say I, it's really all of us together because it's a whole thing. But We won the Teamsters. We did great with the autoworkers.

We did all heavily union and nonunion states we won by a lot. Florida is an example. We won by millions of votes, the highest vote ever gotten. And uh so it's been it's been a great period of time. You know, it's so interesting, Eric.

I don't even know if you saw it. Do you know who stuck up for the president yesterday when the press started saying that he shouldn't have criticized California? Governor Ron DeSantis, desanctimonious. He's like, Yeah, you got to be kidding me. You're giving Trump a hard time?

He's not even president yet. And it was typical. And I thought, wow, it's almost like Rubio. It got brutal with Rubio, and they ended up being the Secretary of State. Maybe DeSantis will get that close, too.

The fastest three hours in radio. You're with Brian Kilmead. We're almost 48 hours after this fire started. There's not resources up there. The hydrants aren't working.

Where's the National Guard? Where are miles and miles of water tenders? How are we addressing this? We all know that this has been an unprecedented event. We also know that fire hydrants are not constructed to deal with this type of massive devastation and that the number one problem, especially on Tuesday, I mean on Wednesday, was the fact that we weren't able to do the air support because of the winds.

And so, of course, I am absolutely frustrated by that. I am not sure that is correct, that there are no resources up there, but rest assured, as soon as we are done here, I will follow up on that. Mayor Karen Bass. And my feeling is this: Karen Bass, Kamala Harris, people like that. They were in the wrong sport.

They don't belong in politics. They're not good at it. They like the power with it. They like the access they get. They like the ceremonial positions they're in.

They like being in the inn party, but they are terrible at their job. And it's not one of those things where a system will just run without a great leader. Not in Los Angeles, not in California. And Kamala Harris, same thing. She doesn't know her job.

She's not interested. It's like if you put me with a physics textbook. I I can't uh comprehend it. I'm that is just not the way I'm made up. You want somebody that can do the job?

Then maybe he's not great at getting the job. It's just average at getting the job. It's Ron DeSantis. He was built to be a chief executive. Not great campaigner, but a chief executive is phenomenal.

And then you got the whole package that comes around once in a while, and we could point to them in the past, and we'll examine that. But right now you have the number two market in the country basically on fire. Over 10,000 structures burned to the ground. Everything I'm explaining right now, Steve Hilton knows. He's living it.

He's a Fox News contributor, served as director of strategy for Prime Minister Cameron over in Britain and is considering running for governor himself. Steve, welcome back. Brian, it's great to be with you. I'm in Los Angeles. I've been here for the last 48 hours.

I'm driving around right now in front of me these absolutely apocalyptic scenes in the second city in the greatest country on earth. And I totally agree with what you were just saying. I would just correct it a slight degree, which is these fools who are there now in charge, not really in charge, but presiding over this catastrophe, Gavin Newsome, Karen Bass, they are actually, what they love is the politics. What they cannot do is government. That's what they are completely clueless at.

I just did a quick look. They combined this absolutely feckless, useless duo, Newsome and Bass. They have been in politics in California collectively for 47 years. What have they achieved? Nothing.

And now we see the final culmination of it. Every single aspect of this catastrophe, people talk about a natural disaster. It's not a natural disaster. It's a man-made disaster. Every single aspect has been either caused directly by their combination of incompetence and extremism and ideology, or made worse by.

It. Every single aspect. And you know, when this all started, you know, we all have the same instinct, Brian, I'm sure, which is, you know, remember our humanity, people are suffering, the fires are still burning, you know, families are displaced. It's an absolute nightmare for people. I've spoken to many of those people around the city the last couple of days.

I'm telling you, the level of fury at what's been going on is off the charts. And they're not interested in, you know, just holding back from showing people where the accountability lies. This is an absolute disaster. And if people weren't convinced before this, That we need massive change, including political change in California, then they sure are convinced of it now. This is a massive moment.

And the only optimistic thing I can say is that I think it will finally be the moment that people realize that we've got to kick these people out who've run this state, who've ruined this state. For the last, you know, 25 years they've had total control in the state legislature. 15 years they've had total control of every statewide office. And they've completely ruined the most beautiful, amazing, largest, and most successful state in the whole of the country. And it's time to get rid of these people.

And this is the moment that we all need to stand up and say that. Right. And it's not even over yet. I mean, it's not even over.

Now you have the recovery.

So all those people who can afford or got lucky enough to get a hotel room, Steve, you know how hard it's going to be or it is right now to get a hotel room. If you have the money to go to a nice hotel, you maybe, and if you have any clothes, you have to go quickly buy clothes. All you have is the one outfit. It's all burnt, right? And the richest.

I can just point out something else, Brian, which is incredibly important. People are so anxious, exactly the kind of people you're describing, because of this insurance crisis, the fact that they have had insurance taken away and they don't know what's going to happen. And that too, people talk about, oh, it's Carmela Harris disgracefully saying, oh, the insurance companies pulled out of California. Why did the insurance companies pull out of California? Because of Democrat policies in two ways.

First of all, the Democrat policies, their over-regulation on the environment and the labor and all these costs that they put onto everything means it's so expensive to rebuild anything, to build anything. That's why the insurance companies are pulling out. They just can't afford to pay the costs of the red tape and regulations from these Democrats. The second reason, the Democrat insurance commissioner in our state has capped the rates. It's price fixing, just like price caps, just like Carmela Harris wanted to do in the presidential election.

Well, look where that led. All the insurance companies pulling out.

So that aspect of the crisis, directly caused by Democrats as well. Yeah, so they asked to raise rates. 70% of people in Pacific Palisades had their insurance lifted because the state would not let them raise rates. In a free society, which they must hate, you have to be able to make a profit in a company. And if you can't, doesn't make sense.

They say for every dollar in premiums, they're paying out $1.09. How do you pay your people when every day you get up and you're losing money?

So if I got California, I'm going to have to raise the rates. No, you're not. I stand up for the people. Good. I'm pulling out for the people.

And now you have state-run insurance in a state that can't pay its bills anyway. And now those rates that they're charging people aren't enough. I know people might say they're too high, but now they're going to have to go into the red to pay for these people. FEMA will pay some money too. We know that.

But you wonder how much better this could be if this was run successfully. If, get this, firefighters could use water. Can you imagine how much better the extinguishing would have been? I want you to hear. Go ahead, your thoughts, and I'm going to place you on the screen.

I was just going to say, Brian, look, look, I mean, just to crystallize the just absolutely feckless, lamentable response on that specific point about the water running out, which is an unbelievable thing in its own right. And the governor there, wandering around the streets with Anderson Cooper from CNN, and he's asked, what about the water running out? And then waves his arms around and says, oh, you better ask the local people.

Okay, and then we do ask the local people. We ask Karen Bass, who is the local person, and she literally freezes into a two-minute silence. I mean, it's just absolutely unbelievable. I've never, in what is it now, 35 years of being involved in politics and government, both sides of the Atlantic and around the world, I've never seen a collapse of political leadership and authority and competence like we've seen here today. Right.

The Wall Street Journal has a great column on this whole thing about the insurance industry and the truth about what happened. But, you know, here's what makes me feel somewhat good. It's being exposed. It's not Steve Hilton, who's a conservative in California. It's not Brian Kilmead sitting on the couch.

Or behind the microphone. It is performance. It's performance. No 30-second ad will paper over this lack of performance, lack of ability to prepare, the ability to attack a problem and rise to the occasion. The other thing about Karen Bass, I mean, she's done nothing in her career, and she was going to be vice president or at least a finalist until they found out that she spends a lot of her time with Cesar Chavez and the Castro brothers.

And that's where her proclivity is. And then she takes taxpayer money and says, here's a declare: I'm going to declare a state of emergency because of the winds.

Now I'm going to take a 17-hour plane ride to Ghana on Los Angeles taxpayer dollars. Crazy.

So here is Gavin Newsom being confronted in Pacific Palisades by a mom, cut six. That was my daughter's school guy. Governor, please. Tell me what you're going to do. I'm not going to hurt him, I promise.

I'm literally talking to the president right now to specifically answer the question of what we can do for you and your daughter. Can I hear it? Can I hear your call? Because I don't believe it. I'm sorry.

There's literally... I've tried five times, that's why I'm walking around to make this. Why is the president not taking your call? Because it's not going through. Why do you have to get self-service?

Why didn't you and then she went on last night to say, why don't you have a satellite phone? I was in a truck yesterday with a news crew. They had a satellite phone. Why doesn't the governor have a satellite phone? Because why?

Unbelievable and actually the the the the that is shocking the video of it was just wondering with his sunglasses on I mean, just wh who does he think he is? It's just so offensive. It is an insult to every Angelino, to every California, to every American, that our great state and one of our great cities has come to this. It is just so insulting. I just can't believe how bad this is.

Obviously, the actual situation is in our first thoughts, and all those families and communities devastated. But just the political situation, I cannot believe how bad it is. But the good news is. As I was saying earlier, this is the moment that is clarifying for people. This is what they've done to California.

My book coming out in a couple of months, and we've talked about it, Califalia. This is Califalia. And it's so obvious now to everybody.

So I want you to hear a little bit more of that exchange, Cut 3, Cut A, excuse me. We're getting the resources to help rebuild. Why was there no water in the hydrants covered? It's all literally. Is it going to be different next time?

It has to be. Of course. What are you gonna do? To fill the hydrants. I would fill them up personally, you know that.

I literally have. I would fill up the hydrants myself. But would you do that? I would do whatever I can. But you're not!

How great was that? I mean And she's so right and she speaks for all of us. And we have the highest taxes in the country. the highest taxes in the country, the highest property taxes within that high tax state here in Los Angeles. I mean, it's just where's the money been going?

I mean, this is what I keep pointing out. I mean, if you look at the broader picture across the state, in the last ten years, they've practically doubled the budget of the state government, even as the population of California has been falling. They've doubled the budget. Everything is worse. We have the worst outcomes of any state.

We have the highest rate of poverty. We have the highest costs for everything. We have the highest housing costs. We have one of the worst outcomes in the public schools. I mean, the worst business climate.

Everything has gotten worse. And yet they take more and more and more of our money and spend it on these fringe ideological obsessions instead of focusing on the basics of good governance.

So I'll tell you, Steve, is your house okay? Your family okay? We're fine, Brian. Thank you for asking. No, we're all fine.

We're not near. And it is true to point out that. It's a big, sprawling city, as anyone who's been here knows. And it is this uncanny truth that while we see the smoke and smell the smoke and see the scenes on television of this absolute inferno, you can go to another neighborhood very close by and life is going on as normal. And in a way, that's what's so weird about it.

You'd think that this is something that you could deal with in a more competent manner. And everybody knows. As Ron DeSantis was pointing out at that meeting with President Trump, first of all, if you had Republicans in charge, it wouldn't be like this, because it just isn't, because Republicans know how to run things. And secondly, if this was a Republican politician presiding over this absolute calamity, the media would be absolutely destroying them.

Now, I'm pleased to see that the media are asking tough questions.

So they are really on the warpath. And I think it's going to get worse because these Democrat politicians have absolutely no answers and no ability to even get the answers. And they're clearly not in command.

So I think it's going to get worse. worse for them. But it is just so shocking. I hear you. Steve Hilton, thanks so much.

Stay safe. And this better propel you to run for office because there's certainly an opportunity, and people want someone that's going to be effective, and you will be effective. Thank you, Brian. I appreciate that. This is a big moment here.

Thank you. I hear you. Back in a moment. You're with Brian Kilmead. The talk show that's getting you talking.

You're with Brian Kilmead. I'm the first president and probably one of the first candidates in history. That's under attack with a gag order where I'm not allowed to speak about something. And they ought to find out what that's all about. And this is a long way from finish.

And I respect the court's opinion. I think it was actually a very good opinion for us because you saw what they said. But they invited the appeal, and the appeal is on the bigger issue.

So, uh We'll see how it all works out.

So the Supreme Court ruled against Trump's attempt to delay the sentencing. We're eliminated it because the Chief Justice Roberts. As well as Amy Coney Barrett, both voted for allowing the New York case to go through and sentence, and that's exactly what just happened. President Trump will not get probation, will not get any jail time, will not get any fines, but the conviction is official. But now they can move ahead, as was recommended in the Supreme Court, and test the immunity case and test the validity case, because experts say that this thing was Frankenstein together, misdemeanors compiled together as a felony.

Will they put him on trial and in New York with a biased judge and a biased jury? They might be good people. I don't know. They might be left-wing zealots. I don't know.

You could be anonymous and a jury of your peers. They put together a verdict that you'd expect a blue city to do for a Republican president. Sadly, that's the case. But that is the only trial. And we'll see.

Todd Blanche is now going to be going to the Justice Department once he's confirmed. We know this at a separate hour, and you're going to hear the President's remarks. You're going to hear Todd Blanche make his speech. We already heard the pro, we heard a summary of what the prosecution said, and that audio is available, but we heard all that. We could hear it nonstop on CNN and MSNBC.

But I'm very curious: are you going to watch the monologues?

Well, they always tape too on Thursday, but. And there's no Friday Tonight show.

So they only tape one. But are you going to watch the daily show going to pretend like this is a good story? for Democrats? Are you going to see Jimmy Kimmel talk about convicted felon and just rant like Stephen Colbert and be the bastion and home base of Democra of the Democratic Party? What are people going to realize?

It's embarrassing. Because this case was brought, there was nobody else able to or no other Republican was able to get much publicity. The focus went back to Trump, and the people said, Yeah, I'm going to stick with this guy. And that's what the president said yesterday. He's been on a roll.

This is obviously a negative. But think about how far he's come from the guy that was going into that freezing cold courtroom, having to stay there, not being able to campaign while everybody else was in president. Biden took shot after shot at him. And then he said, and I'll never forget, I'll just paraphrase: he said, I want to do a debate. Two debates, one in June and one in September.

Because Trumpeter, he said anytime, anywhere. He says, I don't want an audience. I want it in a studio. And these are the times I want. And the President Trump, president, former president said.

Okay. He said I'll even do it on a Wednesday because I know that's your day off.

So Biden was trolling Trump because on Wednesdays there was no court. Think about what happened. He basically collapses. Uh in June. His vice president takes over.

in July. He loses in November. Trump's cases fall apart. Sentencing is looked at as a joke and an injustice of the system. There we go.

And the one thing that's pretty true? Is that the president has since won surviving the assassination attempts, rising up after getting shot in the head, putting his fist up in the air? He's won over people that were on the fence, Republicans outside the Liz Cheneys and the John Boltons have rallied behind him. And now he's got people that were on the sidelines who are working against him, like Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg and Musk for the first time. They're now on his team.

Musk actually moved into his house. Might as well be a member of his family. I'm curious to see how long it's going to last on One Nation this Saturday. That's my open. Look at how much has changed since Madonna was leading a women's march one day after becoming President of the United States, uniting women against the President.

What he did to women, I don't know. But they were all against him, And then James Comey. With his push on the Russia hoax, I don't know if the President has sold out to Vladimir Putin and the secret investigation, the elimination of so many allies, the legal problems that they all had, most of all Mike Flynn. And now after four years out and the January 6th trial and all this stuff. He's back, and now he's popular.

Think about how much has changed. That's going to be my theory Saturday nights at 9 o'clock. Hopefully, you'll watch it there. But I got much more radio to come your way. And don't forget, I want to see you February 15th, Florida Theater in Jacksonville, Florida, BrianKilnead.com.

Go get tickets. From the Fox News Radio Studios in Midtown Manhattan, it's the fastest-growing radio talk show. Brian Kilmead. Hi, Brady. Welcome from 48th and 6th in Midtown Manhattan, where there is no congestion, where there is congestion pricing.

And you know what? There are less cars, but a lot of outraged New Yorkers. This is the Brian Killmeat Show. Heard around the country, around the world. This hour going to be joined by Jimmy Lissow, Andy McCarthy, esteemed legal mind, Fox News contributor, former assistant U.S.

Attorney for the Southern District of New York, best-selling author with us now because of the historic sentencing that took place. And, Andy, I was trying to watch while hosting the show. I know you were on television just now, but it pretty much went like clockwork. We knew the president was going to be sentenced. We knew he did for the future president.

We knew he did not have to be there in person. We knew that he was going to be able to make a statement. And the audio is becoming available, but the prosecutor also spoke, and so did the judge. What could you tell us?

Well, I think that the Supreme Court opinion from last night. Had a not that that not that President-elect Trump is ever inhibited. But It gave him, I think, an assurance that he could speak his mind, probably about a lot of things that he hasn't been able to speak his mind about, because I think. There's a lot of criticism to be made about what the Supreme Court did. We're talking about the New York case.

Remember the whole misdemeanors that were bootstrapped to become felonies. Right. But this was just what was before them last night was just this matter of should you postpone the sentence or not. And they five to four voted not to do that. But they did it with caveats.

They basically said. We don't think this is a big imposition on the transition. Because the judge has committed that he's not going to impose a jail sentence, no probation, unconditional discharge, and President Trump doesn't have to be there. And what that meant was Even though when Murchon originally said that, Brian, it wasn't enforceable. By the Supreme Court relying on it, it became enforceable.

There was no way that, like, no one couldn't change his mind overnight. It would have been very bad for him if he tried to do that. Or if Trump had said something in the sentence that provoked him into changing his mind, ordinarily, you know, him saying in an opinion last week, I'm leaning towards an unconditional discharge, is not an enforceable commitment. But I think the Supreme Court turned it into one, and therefore, I think President Trump didn't have to worry, if he was worried at all, about saying anything that would provoke Murchan and convince him to maybe give a different kind of sentence.

So he looked at the immunity, he went to his library, he had some deep thinking, long walks, and said, I don't believe the immunity applies the presidential immunity that was ruled by the Supreme Court applies here. Because whatever his rationale is, but the Supreme Court said there's a lot of reason for appeal, so go do it. But for this moment, he's a convicted felon. He is a convicted felon. That was the main thing that the really, if you think about it.

This is a total waste of time.

So, the only reason to rush this and to rush to get it done before January 20th when it would no longer be possible to do for the next four years. The reason to do this Was to get him labeled a convicted felon, which, you know, again, I think this underscores, and we've talked about this before, I think, but I think. New York progressive Democrats should not be confused with Democrats nationally. I mean, I think Democrats writ large realized that lawfare was really not a good thing for them, and it actually was. Catastrophic, maybe an overstatement, but it was bad for them.

in the election. In New York? They don't think of it that way. They don't see it that way. You know, Alvin Bragg is up for reelection.

Next year. If he thought this was bad for him, he wouldn't be doing it. He would have dropped it.

So you think he's going to run ads? I put the President I convicted the President of the United States?

Well, he did. A lot of people think it's a joke. But he did run. For the office, by saying his biggest qualification was when he was at the Attorney General's office, he sued Trump more than anybody else sued Trump. And we know that Tish James, the AG, actually explicitly ran on: if you put me in power, I will use the power of the office against Donald Trump.

So that's an argument that offends me in the sense that you love the law. And I love New York practice of the law. And I was a federal prosecutor when, for example, Bob Morgenthal was the district attorney of New York County. And it would have been thought of in those days as disqualifying to say, elect me to this office and I'll use the power of the office against our political enemies. That would never have happened back in those days.

So it happens now. And I think what that means is the electorate in New York, at least the people, and it's very few people, sadly, who vote in these elections. Yeah. That's something that uh rings their bell. Exactly, Trump is much more popular than he was.

And that might make a difference if somebody wants to run, even if they're Democrats, right? I hope that's right. I think it would be right in the outer boroughs. I grew up in the Bronx, so I watch this kind of stuff. And Trump did much better in the Bronx.

He did much better in Lower Westchester, all kinds of parts of the city outside Manhattan. But in Manhattan, Harris won by 63 points.

So you're talking about a different kind of Democrat. That's true.

So do you think. You can only speculate. If Trump had lost, he would have got jail. Yes. You can't Mm-hmm.

This is part of why what they did today makes absolutely no sense. If you remember when they said. Um We're going to turn this into a felony. Business records falsification, which is what they alleged, is usually a misdemeanor in New York, right? Becomes a felony if you're concealing another crime, right?

And what they said was the other crime. was stealing the 2016 election By not disclosing things that should have been disclosed, according to Alvin Bragg's interpretation of federal campaign law, which is not the Justice Department's, by the way. Um now The Presidency is the most important office in the world. And what they were saying is he conspired successfully to steal it. And after all of that, the sentence for that is unconditional discharge.

You steal the most important office on the planet Earth, and that's no jail time, no probation, no monitoring.

So it never made any sense. But I think if they weren't under the inhibition of his having won the election, they would have had to give him some kind of a jail sentence just to hold their heads up about claiming that he stole the 2016 election. You realize politically, which is not really your concern It dominated the headlines. It dominated the news to such an extent. It swamped the rest of the Republican field.

And there was nothing else to talk about. And when they caught up to those candidates who were formidable, The only questions were about the case. And next thing you know, they have a choice. Do they defend the case or do they say the case has got merit? Then you sound like a Democrat.

So they helped him get the nomination. Yeah, well, I think they thought they could beat him. They wanted him to be nominated. They just thought that where this plan went wrong for the Democrats is they thought phase two of lawfare where they were going to get Trump to trial in all these different cases. They didn't want Bragg's case to be the face of lawfare.

They wanted Jack Smith's cases. But. Supreme Court. The immunity ruling basically torpedoed somewhere. But why but you remind me, I forgot.

How did New York get to be number one? What happened, they didn't want New York, and New York was going to the back of the line. Jack Smith was going to rush. The Washington, you know, the J6 case, the trial in March, and then he was hoping to get the Mar-a-Lago case later, maybe in the early summer, and he underestimated. How hard it is to prosecute A president.

And the legal complications involved in that. And because once the Supreme Court issued its immunity ruling, it became impossible that he was going to get these cases together. We saw Fonnie Willis. And Fonnie Willis imploded. That's right.

And then Bragg was the only game in town.

So he ended up going to trial.

So, uh which should I go first, Eric? Should I do Michael or Trump?

Okay, here is the judge. After careful analysis, in obedience to governing mandates. and pursuant to the rule of law. This court has determined that the only lawful sentence that permits entry of a judgment of conviction. without encroaching upon the highest office in the land.

is an unconditional discharge. which the New York State Legislature has determined. Is a lawful and permissible sentence for the crime of falsifying business records in the first degree. Therefore At this time, I impose that sentence to cover all thirty four counts. Sir, I wish you Godspeed as you assume your second term in office.

So there you go. No conditions, no probation, no fine. That's it. Now, Trump had his chance to speak. He's got this gag order on Andy McCarthy, right?

So he's been speaking, we know, by the bike racks underneath with the courtroom that's way too cold. And I haven't heard this yet.

So let's have you? I've heard some of it.

Okay. Here's just one clip. With all that's happening in our country today, with a city that's burning to the ground, one of our largest, most important cities burning to the ground, with... With wars that are uncontrollably going on, with all of the problems of inflation and Uh attacks. On countries and all of the horrible things that are going on.

I got indicted over calling a legal expense a legal expense. It was called a legal expense. I just want to say I think it's an embarrassment to New York, and New York has a lot of problems, but this is a great embarrassment. I believe that this and other cases that were brought, as you know, the DAJ is DOJ is very much involved in this case, it's because that's the political opponent they're talking about. And of course, there is a guy from the DOJ who left for a lower job in order to do this prosecution.

And do you remember his name? Yeah, Matthew Colangelo.

So Matthew Colangelo was there. Did he speak? I'm not sure if he spoke or not. I don't think he was the main speaker. But it's like going down to Triple-A to get them a championship when you're in the major leagues batting cleanup.

Well, yes and no. I mean, you know. As far as like if you want to be Um if you want to have a great career in federal Circles, I guess in federal government legal circles, maybe you say in the Justice Department, if you want to be a hero in the progressive pantheon, if you have political ambitions in New York and you're a Democrat, Come to New York and prosecute Trump. That's a pretty good credential for them. But you can't say the risk is no linkage to Joe Biden, no linkage.

Of course, there's a linkage.

Well, and don't pretend like Michelangelo was in your Department of Justice.

Well, not only that, I think. I don't think President Trump made this point in his remarks today, but to me The biggest indication that there was collusion between Bragg's office and the Biden Justice Department is the fact that the DOJ did nothing. about the fact that a state district attorney Was enforcing federal campaign finance law. When I was in the Justice Department, if a state district attorney tried to do that, they would have been there. Like White on Rice immediately papering the state court, papering the Federal Court to stop the prosecution because they don't have jurisdiction to do that.

When Congress enacted the campaign finance laws, they made the Justice Department the unilateral Complete Criminal enforcer of those laws. The Federal Election Commission does it on the civil society. They have exclusive jurisdiction over this. They would never let. A state DA do something like this, yet in this case they just sat on their hands.

Andy McCarthy, our guest.

So Andy, the other thing is the $454 million judgment against his company saying he defrauded the state by tax dollars. Where is that at now? Because for a brief time, about four hours yesterday, they moved Judge Engeron out of that case. They say an automatic submission in there for a cut, they put him back. Do you know about this?

Did you? I did hear that that there was some weird thing.

Well, I think in part my recollection is Engaron's about 77, and I thought he was retiring or going senior. I don't know if that has anything. To do with that or not. But I do think. In terms of that case, Uh the importance of it for present purposes is it shows that this Bragg prosecution was not a one off.

New York really had it in. New York Democrats had it in for Trump. It was a civil death penalty case and a criminal sort of political death penalty case. At least that's what the way they designed it. And I the current thing, Brian, is They had an oral argument in the Court of Appeals on Trump's appeal of that case a couple of months back.

And it went very badly for The Attorney General's Office. I think there's a very good chance at the minimum. That the fine against Trump is going to be deeply gutted. And I think there's a chance that the court of that the appellate court may say. The statute that Tis James invoked To bring that case was not properly brought in that case because it's a consumer protection statute, and this is a case which involves sophisticated financial actors.

on both sides.

So there was no fraud in this case, and she tried to turn it into a half a billion-dollar fraud. I don't think the court's going to buy any.

So, a couple of things. He had to go to great lengths to get a bond to keep himself from him. She wanted to sit in front and chop up his business. Right. And she almost did if he couldn't get that bond.

Number two is that there's a monitor on that company.

Now, look, Donald Trump can handle himself. He just launched a media company that's worth a billion dollars. But just There's a monitor. Everything they got to do, if they want to go buy that library back, you know, they want to buy that hotel back.

So they got to go do it. They got to go sign off on this. A lot of people don't want to give him. Alone because of this judgment, which I think, from Mike's civilian opinion and talking to legal English prints like you is a total sham. and talking to other people.

So while he waits, he's got to wait for this appeal to go up. Yeah. It it's not a I think what you learn about with respect to business Is it's not like how do I feel about you? Personally. When we do business, it's whether I think you're viable or not, which may not be in your control.

So the point you're making is the right one. That is, there's such encumbrances on him and there's such uncertainty on him because of the case. And as I sit here talking to you, I think the Court of Appeals is going to throw out. But probably seven tenths of it at least, maybe the whole thing. But that's me predicting.

I don't have skin in the game. Just real quick, the timing of it. Don't know. They're not under, I'd say in the next few months, but they're not under a restriction in terms. The law is very funny that way.

It tells you when you have to have your papers filed by, doesn't tell the court when they have to decide it by. All right, listen, Jamie Lissau at the bottom of the hour where you just said quality time with Andy McCarthy that normally would cost our audience an arm and a leg. But this time it's free. Thanks so much, Andy. Thanks, Brian.

Back in a moment. Expanding your knowledge base. It's the Brian Kill Me Show. He's so busy, he'll make your head spin. It's Brian Killmead.

Yeah, I'm watching, just trying to do 20 things at once. I'm watching some of the updates from Los Angeles where they're talking about what a great job they're all doing and how insurance has failed, and they're going to try to make up for it as if insurance companies aren't supposed to be solvent. I mean, they're not nonprofits. I hate to tell you, I'm not signing with insurance companies, but when you don't let them raise rates to do something that's going to allow them to insure people, they can't go bankrupt. What about the other people that are insured?

The other thing is, as bad as Los Angeles is, it's terrible. What about North Carolina? I mean, what about Florida? I mean, these were devastating hurricanes that slammed into there in a way that they weren't ready, especially in the mountains. Has everyone forgotten about that?

It took Joe Biden weeks to get there.

Now he's made sure to go to Los Angeles. He's having a press conference in the White House about Los Angeles. I mean, you you mean more of a a display of partisanship than that? He's going out like the the loser he was when he went in. Terrible vice president, awful president.

And uh and now we're seeing uh some awful leadership Mayor Bass doesn't even know where to put the microphone. And then Governor Newsom walking around with his hands in his pockets. Oh, pretending to be on the phone when people come up to confront him. Coming up next, Jamie LaSalle is going to be with us, one of the funniest guys you'll meet. He's got a bunch of days coming up.

He's also going to be on One Nation this weekend, Sunday, Saturday at 9. I hope everyone's going to be listening there. And keep in mind, I'll be on stage, Florida Theater, Jacksonville, Florida, coming up February 15th. WOKV Listeners hope to see you there. And VIP opportunity is available first.

We're almost hitting our cap. Uh that's a chance to meet one-on-one uh in a casual way before the show. Information you want, truth you demand. This is the Brian Kill Me Show.

Hey, we are back in with Jamie. Lizao, Jamie is, we always love having Jamie on. It's been a while, and I got, according to my sources, I should take it personal. There is a reason. You've been here and you've walked by our studio.

Hoping Hoping I wouldn't see you. Is any of this true? My knees hurt from crawling past your window. Because you know, I have one rectangle window. I love doing your show, and I just, it's this Gutfeld show has been keeping me really busy.

Killing you. It's the Guttfeld show. How much does he book you? Like, is it three times a month? Is it, what do you.

Lately, it's been once a week. Once a week. Yeah. And now that he's back. Is he changed?

He seems like he's in a really good mood. We were kind of talking about this before we came on, but I feel like there's this when you have a baby. Suddenly, work no longer seems like work. It seems like the easiest thing in the world. And so I do sense this.

I think he's wanted a baby for a long time. I sense like a happiness from him, which is very, very, very strange. And uh but he seems like he seems good. See, this reminds me of something. I always think that somehow life is reminiscent of all.

Do you watch all the Rockies? Did you watch all of them? I th I believe so. I don't want to spoil it, but he won, right? Not the first one.

Okay. And he didn't win all the fights. He didn't? Because Rocky 3, he loses his title. He's got to fight it back, which brings me to Rocky 3.

Apparently, I have not seen all the Rockies. Yeah, Frank.

So remember Mr. T? Sure. Mr. T is supposed to be.

Sonny listened in my view. 'Cause President 'cause Celeste Salon is such a student of boxing, and Sonny Liston was this madman criminal hanging out with mobsters. But when he got in the ring, he was animal. Scared the hell, like Tyson did, only bigger than Tyson. Scared the hell out of all his opponents.

He knocked down the heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson like five times to take the title. And it reminded me of Customato actually. Was the trainer of Lloyd Patterson? Says, you're never going to fight Liston. Because he knew if you fight Liston, you're going to go down.

Right. It's going to make sense soon.

So what happens is Liston becomes champion. And become susceptible to a guy like Mo Cassius Clay, Muhammad Ali, and he some gets civilized. And becomes, you know, loved hanging out, loved going on the shows. He got stopped being as ferocious. Yeah.

So this brings me to Mr. T playing his character. Mr. T is coming from the hood, coming in, and he just takes out Rocky. Rocky comes first.

He can't keep up, just like Ford Patterson, can't keep up with the power of listen. Can't keep up with the power of Mr. T in the movie.

So then. Mr. T becomes champion, starts doing the talk shows, starts getting mellow. And then the fact that Stallone had to change his style and become more of a danter is a side of the point. Are you worried?

That Guttfeld's going to become civilized like a Mr. T when he became champion and lose that comedic edge. I was just watching you just in awe. I forgot about your fighting knowledge, first of all. I love boxing.

But I'm not worried. I think that there is a, in all seriousness, I think there's always like this weird thing where comedians and entertainers sometimes worry about having kids. They go, it's going to be harder to write my jokes and get my work done. And in every single case I've ever seen, the person gets better. Right.

They get better. Like Gaffigan lives off his five kids. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. I think it I think it's a bit hey, speaking of uh fighting, did you watch Tyson Jake Paul?

Biggest joke, I am still angry about it. I was very upset. I think a lot of men. Like my, I don't know if we're similar ages, but I think we he was fighting for us. Like when I saw Tyson fighting, and then he was slow.

But did you think it was because I felt like when I was watching him, I go, if he wins, I still maybe I still got a shot. Right. No. Was it fake, do you think? Not for a comedian, especially, you're in very good shape.

People should know because they should watch on the app, but if they're not, they're only listening. Gotcha. But you're in very good shape. If they're just listening, I have an eighth pack. Right.

And if they're seeing it, you're denying. You're saying Tyson didn't try. Didn't try. Wow. I'm telling you, you could watch back and you see him pull back before hitting.

That guy could he could knock out Jake Paul. at 60 or 50, 80, whatever he is, right now. Why do you think he did not do that? No idea. He was bothering whatever.

I do assume it was totally, we were totally duped. I think they were totally, totally duped. That sucks because that was the. Most recent fight I was excited to watch was that fight. Like kids around, like we're all watching it.

And there's so much, and now that we've watched it, there's so many better matchups that I would have rather seen. Like, what about somebody from the Cast of the View versus a treadmill? You know, something like that. That would have been good. You know, that's excellent.

A couple of things going on. Have you noticed. Have you noticed that Mike Tyson, excuse me, not Mike Tyson, but it's very somebody similar, Donald Trump is saying some different things lately? Like he is promising to buy Greenland and he's not backing off. Here it is: cut 27.

Steam just got back from Greenland. What's the price tag?

Well, maybe no price tick. You know, look, we're going to have to see what happens because Denmark, we need this for national security. We need Greenland very badly. You look the Russian ships, the China ships, they're all over the place. They're Surrounding.

Now they have for a long time. That's Elaine. But uh We need that for national security.

So I don't know that Denmark has any right title and interest, and we're going to find that. But I can tell you, you saw the clips that were released. The people of Greenland would love to become a state of the United States of America.

So, Jamie, I don't know if you have much Greenland material that you have, but you actually have roots in Alaska, which was called Seward's Folly. That's right. Because the Secretary of State, former governor of New York, bought it. And everyone's like, what are you doing with Alaska? Thank goodness, Russia would have been in our backyard.

That's right. So could this be Trump's folly, which ends up being a slice of brilliance? What's your take? I think it might be a slice of brilliance. I did a show in Greenland.

You did not. I did a military tour with Rob Schneider, and we did the base in Greenland. What is it like? It was wild. I think it might be the smallest military base.

I remember them telling us it was the only one that didn't have a fence around it because nobody's coming. And it was wild, but I get what he's saying. Did it feel like a different planet almost? It felt like a different planet. And I felt so much, I don't even know what the word is, but so much gratefulness for the men and women in Greenland.

After we went to Japan, it was amazing. You know, it was awesome. And that little shop they get to buy all their stuff from. It's like a mall in Japan. The PX, I think.

The PX, you got it. Yeah, and in Greenland, it's like there's like one pair of gloves, like a slim gym. And they shoot. It's very small. They can't bring their families.

They're out there just serving their country by themselves because they can't, you know, some of the bases they can bring spouses and kids. This is one where you go up there for a year, two years, you're on your own. I've never had people more excited to see us. Really? And you have a family.

Yeah. And you're including your family. Including them. Yeah. Including.

Dogs. These guys have been aware of that.

So I went to you. Fetterman was asked about Greenland. Mm-hmm. Can we uh ask you what you hope to get out of your visit to Mar-a-Lago to talk to Donald Trump? What are we talking about here?

Is there some news? There's some news. We hear that you're going to be heading down to Mar-a-Lago. Yeah, I've heard that. Yes, I've heard that.

Yeah. What will you be discussing with the pet?

Well, yeah, I demand that I need to be made Pope of Greenland. Do you have the resume to be Pope? I'm having a conversation. Like, he's the president, he's going to be.

So I just thought. He is funny. He is sarcastic, and no one can handle it. Like, they don't expect it from a senator who's 6'7 with a hoodie wearing shorts in the winter. I do have a deep respect for someone that does not follow a dress code.

Like, even in the situations he's been in where he's worn that hoodie, there's something about it that I really like that he just doesn't care. I think it's hysterical. And he's trolling people now. He's like, Oh, yeah. Why can't I go to Mar-a-Lago?

It's nice. The president's there. I want to be Pope of Greenland. And the thing that's also interesting is. Is it he had a oh stroke?

So, the guy couldn't even, it was supposed to die, people say. Yeah. He was not able to talk a little while ago. He needed a special machine to interpret English. Yes.

So, this is a pretty miraculous. Why don't you do more Fetterman stuff? It's a huge comeback for Fetterman. Right. Yeah, I don't do a lot of Fetterman stuff.

Fetterman, what a journey we've been on with Fetterman. Right. Right? Like, he was just on Rogan. I don't know if you heard that.

No, I was slowly becoming a fan. Was he good? I thought I I have a Deep respect. This is one of my problems with Kamala: they come in and they only tell you the scripted stuff, just like we saw. With, I forgot her name already, the California mayor that had nothing to say when she got off the airplane from Ghana.

Brian, can you imagine?

So that's my respect for Fetterman: he'll have a three-hour conversation that's not cultivated and filtered and everything. She got in from Ghana, just briefly, and if you missed the clip, the reporter is asking her question after question after question, and she doesn't respond for two minutes. Do you know the flight from Ghana? Do you know it's 17 and a half hours? Yes.

Do you know. Can you imagine you're on a flight for seven, ten and not for one second, you go? I wonder if they're gonna ask me something about the fire. Like ha it's destroying my state and my city. Yeah, you could watch Dune Two seven times and still have an hour to prepare on the fire question or one Judd Apaton movie.

Right. And look for the laps. Yeah. So that's a great point, Jamie, and I think that's right. If you've my humble opinion, It's ready for the stage if it hasn't been used there yet.

I appreciate it. Even if you missed the first 17 hours of the flight, as you were landing amidst the flames at LAX, and they attacked her, the reporter was like crushing her. He did a brilliant job at LAX? Can you replace some of it? Do you have some of it?

Because you're flying into LAX, even when a reporter doesn't attack you, is horrible. Right, right. Can you imagine landing and being attacked? But here's the thing: there are people that are talented. You look at, you know, that belong in politics.

I look at DeSantis. The guy is okay as a campaigner, but fantastic as a chief executive. Yeah. There's no way that Trump shouldn't be in front of the camera talking to people, selling things. He's got a charm to him.

I don't care if you agree with him. AOC's got it too. Yep. She has nothing. Karen Beth has nothing.

Here is the exchange that correspondent Jamie Lusalle has just referred to. Do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars, Madam Mayor? Have you nothing to say today? Have you absolutely n nothing to say to the citizens today? Elon Musk says that you're utterly incompetent.

Are you considering your position? Madam Mayor, have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who are dealing with this disaster? No apology for them. Do you think you should have been visiting Dhamma? He's got nothing.

Can I correct myself? Yeah. I said attack. I don't mean in a negative. I thought he was aggressively asking really important questions.

Right. So, not, I just mean like from her point of view, it probably felt like she got off the plane and someone was in her face. Right. But yeah, she was. No, no, you just.

Don't worry, we know what you meant. But here's the thing: if you're a politician. You want those answers. I always thought when you're in controversy, people say, Don't softball it because it looks like you're complicit. That's right.

Go right at them. Oh, let me just tell you about cutting the budget. Cutting the budget did X, Y, and Z. It didn't cut anything with firefighters. And what I did is I added things here.

You know, so all of a sudden, the guy's like, okay, she's ready to go. She I guess had a bunch of answers prepared, but she thought they were gonna say, like, how was your trip? Right. And by the way, uh, always thinking Los Angeles, if you're mayor, I gotta spend some time in Ghana. Yeah, you always gotta you gotta really get your feet in the ground in Ghana.

That's why no one wants a job. And by the way, the the problem is they were screening her to be vice president. Yes. And they were they did this thing called Google. And it turns out she spends G O O G O you're writing it down, G O O G L E.

And they found out that she goes to Cuba all the time, hangs out with the Castro brothers and Julio Cesar Chavez. I think he was bas she was basically a ball bearer. On the Communists debt.

So, like, that's her background check. Not good. Why don't you be mayor of uh LA? And the best part of the other clip that's going on on the internet is where she s she tells the victims of the fires, if you need help, Just go to URL. Did you see that?

It's all over the internet. The website, they must have not put it in in time. And because she's not a human being that can ad lib, she just reads to everybody. She goes, Hey, just for help, go to URL. Brian, I went to URL.

There's nothing there. I went to WWW. There was nothing there. I never know why. I actually went on a date with her once and she gave me her phone number, but it was just a piece of paper that said phone number.

Yeah, that's it. Back in a moment. Good night, everybody. This is the Brian Kill Me Show.

From his mouth to your ears, it's Brian Gilmead. I'm Nikki Glazer and I am absolutely thrilled to be your host tonight. Thank you. Now Some of you may know me as a stand-up comedian and from my appearances on Roast, but I am not here to roast you tonight. I want you to know that.

How could I, really? You're all so famous, so talented, so powerful. I mean, you could really do anything. I mean, except tell the country who to vote for, but it's okay. You'll.

He'll get him next time. If there is one. I'm scared. Ariana, hold my finger.

So Nikki Glazer. doing stand-up. And a little bit of a roast, not like The other roasts that have been in the past, but I thought you were good. Do you thought she was good? I love Nikki Glazer.

Do you know her? Yeah, I do know her. Nikki Glazer, quick aside, I don't drink alcohol. Did you at one point quite a bit? Had a little bit of trouble quitting.

And one night, while almost completely blacked out, I messaged Nikki Glazer because me and her used to drink together all the time. And then I would see her. I saw this, her, just this incredible ascension and success. And I was like, there's no way she drinks anymore. But when I saw her, she was like me, like we would just party.

And so I messaged her, and I go, How did you quit drinking? Like, what did you do? And the next morning, she was like, it's so crazy. But I read this book. And I quit drinking when I finished reading the book.

It's like this book by this guy, Alan Carr. It's called The Easy Way to Quit Drinking. It's like a cognitive behavioral therapy. And it's, you know, it's like an alternative to whatever, Alcoholics Anonymous, if you don't feel like that's something that they have a problem with. And she sent me the book and I read it and I haven't drank in seven years.

It's that good. That's well, you just help people right now. I had to do it. I had like Friday afternoon. If I ever hear Nikki Glazer are drinking, I have to do that because it totally changed my life.

And it was the easiest, even if you don't have like a problem drinking, you get a lot more done. If you're not kind of partying, and after that, I finished this book, and it wasn't Alan Carr. Never thought about it again, Alan Carr. He does smoking too. He started as a smoking guy, it's all cognitive behavioral therapy.

And just this is going to help everyone at Fox because we all, as a company, drink too much. I'm going to buy everybody the book. If you don't mind. Yeah. So before I have one more thing, she did some of her jokes that she did at Howard Stern that didn't make the cup, but I want to make sure to get your plugs in because you're going to be in New Jersey, Newark, New Jersey, January 25th.

You're going to be in Poughkeepsie, New York, January 24th. Chicago, Illinois, January 19th, and Rosemont, Illinois, January 17th to 18th, which is interesting the way I chose to read it. Yeah. It was backwards. That was wild.

Yeah, it's kind of weird. Are you going to continue on with dates I've already performed? If you don't mind. Don't blame me if it's still empty. And then Buffalo, January 11th.

Oh, January 11th, yeah. Maybe I just assume people are taking notes. That's fine, right? They're just filling up their calendar one by one.

So here's a little, here's some of the jokes that didn't make her monologue. You know, it's such an incredible honor to be here at the Golden Globes, Hollywood's seventh most important night. The Golden Globes is the only show where you can see the biggest stars in movies and television join together with the same goal. Getting out of here tonight before Dak Shepard asked them to do his podcast. This is the last time all of you will be in the same room together until the Diddy trial.

So at one point in the show, I go, Oh, look, it's two-time Holocaust survivor Adrian Brody. Because he's been in two Holocaust films. Yes? And I said, you know, if Adrian Brody could go back in time, he would thank baby Hitler for his career. Yeah.

Yeah. So I like them. Yeah, she's a pro. Right. She's the nicest person to go to.

You don't do anything on prompter, obviously, in clubs. I do not. You would. Do you think those were impromptu? Her c her Or jokes?

Or do you think that throws you off if you're used to trusting yourself? You know what I wonder if she did? What I did when I filmed I've done two specials where There you go. You can have a prompter. But as a comedian, if it's every word, that's very bizarre.

Like, if it's like a prompter? What do you want to say? I did a set list.

Okay. And so it said, so it would say like Adrian Brody.

So then she could sort of glance up and then do the joke herself. I think a word-for-word prompter would be super hard to follow along.

Well, what do you think the, what do you think Colbert has? What do you think that Jimmy Kimmel has? Do you think they have word-to-word? I think Colbert has a screen with just a sad face when he looks at it. I don't even know an applause and laugh design.

He's a guy with a sense of humor that is going on. It's the same old argument, but it's just so crazy that I mean, we probably talked about this last time. It's one of my just how Carson used to make fun of everybody and how just how politics, and it's not even a hidden agenda, Brian. It's a agenda written on his hat that it's just become like the, and I don't get it because we, I think the reason people kind of like I've gotten like some good response from Gutfeld is because we really do go joke forward often. I certainly do.

I go for the joke first. And the Tonight Show, for goodness sake, is not even on Fox News or MSNBC. It's on one of the major networks, and they are joke-like third. It's speak to your echo chamber. They're already voting for her anyway.

Or talk to people that don't want to hear it that aren't going to change their mind because you're just a dumb comedian. And you guys were there first. I do think it's going to be interesting to see that they realize. I think Jimmy Fallon's the first. It really doesn't live off of.

He really doesn't live off of Trump. Yeah, yeah, yeah. My opinion. But you know. Hey, Jamie, would you come on One Nation Saturday night at 9 o'clock?

I would love to. Because on Instagram, you didn't know what time it started. I just had a lapse. Fox News Audio presents the Fox Nation Investigates podcast. The Botten Files.
