Hi, everyone.
So glad you're there. It's the Brian Killmee Show moving through a very busy day because with the president going overseas and the time shift, when you, I get up at 2:30 in the morning, 3 o'clock, I'm actually watching these impactful press conferences and impromptu pressers, and it's just so interesting. And then, of course, the announcement of the trade deals, which happened in the present, this is an unbelievable trip. I mean, Chuck Schumer came out last night and said, this trip has been a dud. Have you ever heard of anything so inaccurate?
If you ever want people to believe you when you complain, Once in a while, just say things that are not complaining and point out that this is my objective. I wish the president was here, but he's achieving a lot overseas. I guess it's not possible for people like that. I see somebody in a very similar position, Senator John Thune, be a little bit more pragmatic and even than I ever heard Chuck Schumer.
So 1-866-408-7669. We're going to review what was the deal that was done. We also just got news that Casey Means, who is going to be starting our hearings today to be Surgeon General, went into labor.
So it looks like it's going to be postponed. Let's get to the big three. Number three. And this sort of bizarre idea that Generation Z is going to carry us forward into a conservative future. I'm not seeing the evidence for that as a general matter.
Mamdani being a perfect encapsulation of this. Ben Shapiro weighing in on the mayor's race in New York. In three races overall, we're watching: New Jersey, Virginia, governorships, and the New York Mayor's race. The turnout has been strong in all three areas. We'll tell you who's got the leg up.
Number two. Like for 29 days, understand, Donald Trump has spent more time. Talking to Hamas. and the Chinese Communist Party. than he has in talking to Democrats.
to end the Trump shutdown. About what? There's nothing to talk about. Shut down day 30. Tempers are flaring.
Attention, Chuck. Get the message. Republicans aren't caving to the extortion. While there are signs, some talks outside of leadership. are showing progress as millions suffer without paychecks.
Number one. Think you could sign a trade deal with China?
Well, I think pretty soon we have not too many major stumbling blocks. We have a deal. The President of the United States talking about what just took place hours ago in his 101 meeting that lasted 90 minutes with President Xi. He's heading home for Halloween, literally to give out candy to people who come into the White House. We're going to break with Melania, we're going to break down what we know and recap the successful trip.
I mean, there's no question it wasn't successful. Do you see the relationship between the new prime minister of Japan and the president? By the relatively new prime minister in South Korea and the president, you know, we sold them, we agreed to sell them nuclear submarines. They've agreed to put more money into their defense, as did Japan. Then we have Japan putting $550 billion worth of investment into our country.
South Korea is something very similar. And then, leading to all that is a rare earth deal with Malaysia. And then we have Australia with a rare earth deal and a refining deal with Cambodia. And Argentina seems to be next. What the president's doing is lining up to get leverage and release some of which Russia has, excuse me, China.
Has over us on rare earth. They've pretty much locked up the market. We're unlocking it in real time.
So, what is the deal? First off, when it comes to fentanyl, they have pledged to crack down. We've heard this before.
So, the president said, I put 20% tariffs on your products because of fentanyl. I'll knock it down to 10%, cut three. As you know, I put a twenty percent tariff on China because of the pental law coming in, which is a To be careful. And based on the statements today, I reduced it by ten percent.
So It's ten percent instead of twenty percent. effective immediately. I believe he's gonna work very hard to Stop the The death. That's coming in. But again, it's complex because of What?
What fentanyl is, what the precursors do.
So I think you're going to see a big difference.
So that is a plus.
Now let's see if they'll crack down. Here's why I think this time might be different. It's true. They told us he was a fluke last time. Other people going around the country saying he's going to be impeached.
He had the Russia deal distracting, and he would go around introducing himself to people. They didn't know what to make of the president because he's so unlike any other president.
Now, after four years off, now four years back, he's in nine months of year one.
So with pres present she Is not dumb. Do you really want to alienate him, who's going to be your adversary for the next four years, by not doing something so simple and getting rid of the precursors that are shipping to Mexico, which we're tracking? I'm sure we did everything but hand him a map and say, I tell you the exact ports it's coming out of. You see how serious he is as he's blowing up these ships outside Venezuela, as he sealed our border and making massive arrests. Do you really think he's going to have a half measure when it comes to the precursors to fentanyl?
So that's good. The other thing is the farmers and the ranchers are upset about the beef deal and the lack of purchases of agricultural products. That has changed. Listen to the Treasury Secretary, Cut thirteen. Chinese have agreed to buy 12 million metric tons of soybeans during this season.
Right now, then for the next three years, they're going to be buying a minimum. A minimum of 25 million metric tons per annum for the next three years.
So that's huge, and he deserves so much credit for this, as does. Jamison Greer, the trade rep, who you see in the background talking to the president. The big difference, there's so many differences with the first term and now. The president had good people around him last time outside Tillerson, who was just flat out lazy, but they didn't like him. They didn't thought he was in over his head, thought he couldn't do the job, and they were kind of undermining.
I'm trying to fix things. When the president was really trying to do things, now you have people like Scott Besson, a brilliant financial mind, saying, Okay, Mr. President, I met with you multiple times. That's why you hired me. I know what you want.
I'm going to get it done. Even if it means knocking Elon Musk into the wall and threatening to punch him out, which I think you've done. I think he also got into it with Howard Luttnick, who tried to take his job at the last minute. Thank goodness he won that. But what I was most struck by is what I heard live in the morning.
So I get up at 2:30, as I mentioned, and the press conference is taking place, and before the meeting, Took it before the meeting happens. I'm listening to through translation what President Xi was saying.
Now, the President always says, My good friend, my great friend, I really got along with him. But what do they say? And through translation, I want to relate to you what they said. And we pulled the clip.
Now, I know they do opposition research and they find out What the president likes and doesn't like, whether it's Bush or Biden, who knows about Biden, what they tried to do, because they really never had any substantial meetings with him. But with Trump, they know the president's been talking about their relationship.
So here's President Xi through a translator, Cuten. President Trump? It is a great pleasure. From me as well to meet you. since your re-election.
We have spoken on the phone three times, exchanged several letters, and stayed in close contact. Under our joint guidance, China's relations have remained stable on the whole. Given our different national conditions, we do not always see eye to eye with each other, and it is normal. For the two leading economies of the world to have frictions now and then. And in the face of winds, waves, and changes.
challenges. You and I, at the helm of China US relations, should stay the right course. And ensure the steady sailing forward of the giant ship of China-US relations. And he also brought up that the president's work in solving conflicts.
Now, yeah, does this play to the President's?
Now, I wouldn't say ego to his strength, yeah. And the fact that he noticed that. Leading in? I think it shows consideration. People might say, you know, their intelligence said: if you want to get onto the president, notice the peace deals he cut.
But I'll do something, I'll take a step back from that. I'm not going to pretend to be the CIA director. Just listen. Cut twelve. Mr President, you care a lot about world peace.
And you're very enthusiastic about settling various regional hotspot issues. I appreciate your great contribution to the recent conclusion of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. During your visit to Malaysia, you witnessed the signing of the Joint Declaration on Peace along the Cambodia-Thailand border, to which you had provided input. China has been helping in our own way, Cambodia and Thailand, properly settle their border disputes, and we have also been promoting peace talks to resolve other hotspot issues. The world today is confronted with many tough problems.
China and the US can jointly shoulder our responsibility as major countries and work together to accomplish more. And they segued into Ukraine, I'm sure, when they went one-on-one. He said, we'll work on it, bring that peace. He could bring peace immediately to Ukraine. Why?
Number one, he didn't have bad relations. China did not have bad relations. I'm going to wrap up quick with Senator Marshall standing by after the break. And we have the RNC, the new RNC chair, Joe Grueder, standing by too, at the bottom of the hour. they they provide all the dual use weapons and technology for a lot of the rockets and the drones that fly in and out of Ukraine and kill people.
They provide a lot of the food and they buy the oil at discount rates, allow them to fuel their Uh fuel their war machine. If they feel it's in their interest for this war to stop. I believe they can do in a second. But if they even do things to make it harder for Russia to pay for this death and destruction, That's an improvement because I didn't think it was happening. India has already said we're going to look elsewhere to buy oil and gas, and we might be set to repair relations there.
This took a setback. All right, you listen to the Brian Kilmeat show. It's a big hour. I just touched on the surface of some of the things the president accomplished. We haven't even talked about the shutdown yet.
We're going to get to that shortly because even Jon Thune has lost his patience, which I thought was impossible. Brian Kilmeich show, don't move. Coming to you on a need-to-know basis because, man, do you need to know? It's Brian Kilmead. Hi everyone, I'm Brian Kilmedy.

Let me just point out, if I might. That we are 29 days into a Democrat shutdown. And the senator from New Mexico was absolutely right. Snap recipients shouldn't go without food. People should be getting paid in this country.
And we've tried to do that 13 times. And you voted no 13 times. This isn't a political game. These are real people's lives that we're talking about. Yeah, I mean, there's no doubt about it.
Real people's lives are being sacrificed. The paychecks aren't coming in. If you work for the federal government, you're not rich. You might be part of the 70 percent of the country going paycheck to paycheck.
So far, there are 750,000 workers furloughed. Others are forced to work as essential workers without pay. It's cost between $7 billion and $14 billion out of our economy. Senator Roger Marshall is living this nightmare and joins us now. Senator, is there any light at the end of the tunnel?
Well, Brian, I do think that we are about at an inflection point. I think that you can just see the Democrats are spinning on their heads like tops. you're seeing the polling basically saying that indeed this is a Schumer shutdown, that this is a political shutdown. And boy, that's about as animated as Jon Thune has ever been. I mean, he's the calmest person I've ever met.
And for him to be so emotional, I think that's you're showing that we're close to a breaking point. We're close to breaking them. Republicans are united. The inflection point I'm talking about, though, is these food stamps. 42 million people rely upon them on average $180 a month for food.
I think between that and TSA missing their second paycheck, And of course, the air traffic control as well, that this will probably be the tipping point. Hopefully, Democrats come back and open the government. You know, what they're holding out for now really is $35 billion of Obamacare subsidies. That's really what I think this is about now. They want $35 billion of these enhanced subsidies that are being abused with lots of fraud.
So happy to come back and talk about that problem, about the Unaffordable Care Act, but that's really what this is. They're trying to find some way to save space. And I don't know what they can do. They're backed in the corner, don't you think? I do, because you guys can't give in.
And, you know, Obama didn't give in when Ted Cruz put you guys out of business because he wanted to get rid of Obamacare. And the off-ramps have basically evaporated. I guess they wanted in writing that you're going to actually talk about some way to keep people's premiums under control with the unaffordable Obamacare. This is a broken program that they want Republicans to continue to subsidize at pandemic levels.
So, if there's something coming on behind the scenes, Senator Cortez-Masto of Nevada said this: Cut 24. Leaders Dune suggests that there are a number of bipartisan talks going on between rank and file members. Are you engaged in those discussions? Yes, and I think it's important we continue to talk and work through. The issues, I think that there's opportunity for us to come together.
To open up the government to address the looming healthcare crisis. But I will say this. There is the will. among senators on both sides of the aisle to do something. but the leadership's getting in the way.
And the one person that needs to be at the table is not Donald Trump. Number one, what Trump has nothing to do with this. You could say you can go in there, but he's going to just back up with the speaker saying. But do you know anything of this happening outside leadership? Are you a part of that?
Brian, I'm not. The White House has specifically asked me not to engage because I know how to fix it. If there is anything good news about this, the Democrats are admitting that it is a broken system that That premiums are going to go up 18% this year, regardless of what we do. That the cost of Obamacare has gone up 200 to 400% over the last five or six years, depending on what state you live in and what your income level is. All these games that are created by it.
And oh, by the way, there's at least $25 billion of fraud in this $150 billion a year program that's being spent on 24 million people. That's too many stats, but I think the important one is $25 billion of fraud. Lo look. They have to be willing to address the fraud. They've heard me say a hundred times publicly: when you're ready to address the fraud.
And when you're ready to make patients consumers again, as opposed to just paying 100% of their premium, then come, then I'm ready, I'll be ready to talk. You open the government, but you have to be willing to fix the fraud. You have to be willing to basically start over on this Obamacare thing. And remember, Brian, I'm the only person up here that's ran a hospital, that's overseen health departments. Of course, I'm a physician as well, but I absolutely know how to fix it.
But the White House has specifically said for me not to engage with the Democrats yet. But they said, yeah, but they said when you open a government, you will engage. Lastly, President Gobb finishes up: I thought an unbelievably successful trip and fostered great and reinforced great relationships with China. He said, out of a 10, I give it a 12 after 90 minutes together. What are you hearing?
Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, we're just doing back flips across the state of Kansas. You know what? What this means is $15 billion a year for soybean farmers, probably $2 billion a year for sorghum farmers across the country.
And those are big numbers back home, okay, for the size of our GDP.
So $15 billion a year that China is going to be buying of soybeans, $2 billion of sorghum as well.
So big, big news. We're just doing backslips back home.
So do you think this is going to happen right away? I do. I think even yesterday, China already ordered several big cargo ships Of soybeans, I think, just to kind of pay tribute to President Trump. But it is so key. You can't just listen to what they say.
You got to watch what they do. But then that's what we saw before. Trump 45 negotiated some good trade deals. China started buying, but then Joe Biden's elected and they quit buying, right?
So it'll take, you know, it is real important who the next president is that they will enforce these trade agreements. We know Trump will.
So we've got 20 seconds left. Have they, what is the window before the soybeans go bad? And that's a lack of farmer talk. I'm not a farmer, but I know you guys are worried. When do you need to get that out, shipped out?
Oh, I think it's months. It's not it's not days or weeks. It it's months. Good.
So that is huge news. And what they want is access to our tech center. And they also want access to our chips. And the president indicated that NVIDIA can work directly with you guys.
So we'll see. I mean, they certainly sounded like they're trying to get along. But actions tell the story. Senator, thanks for hopping on with us with all this breaking news. We appreciate it.
And one day you guys will be back at work. Can you imagine?
Next, RNC Chair Joe Grueder's Don't Move. Brian Killmee Chill. Every day, America's first responders stand ready: firefighters, law enforcement, paramedics, doctors, dispatchers, and people who put themselves on the line for public safety. But keeping them connected in moments of crisis has not been easy. That's why Congress authorized a nationwide network for public safety.
Today, that promise is fulfilled through FirstNet. It's the only nationwide network built with and for first responders.
So, whether it's a big city, world town, or remote tribal community, FirstNet helps ensure no call for help goes unanswered. It gives first responders priority access, never throttles their communications in the U.S., helping them to connect across agencies. When it matters most. This isn't just a network. It's a lifeline, a bipartisan commitment to America's public safety, built to serve those who serve us all.
FirstNet is the backbone of our nation's emergency response and will continue to be in the future. FirstNet, built with ATT. Learn more on FirstNet.com slash public safety first. A radio show like no other. It's Brian Killmead.
I believe that far left. will destroy the Democratic Party. I believe it will destroy the Democratic Party nationwide if that far left becomes dominant. This is not a socialist country. They're not going to accept socialist policies.
They're not anti-law and order. They're not anti-business, right?
So that's why I think this election is so important. It's garnered so much attention. It's not just about mayor of New York. It's about the future of the Democratic Party. But the person he was describing is leading him by 10.
And the problem with this race is that Governor Cuomo was anti-law and order because he did no cash bail. He did raise minimum wage to the point where it hurt almost all small businesses, didn't even consult with them. And he was not the most practical guy in shutting down a nuclear power plant on symbolism while ignoring an environmental study that said fracking would have no impact. But he's decided not to do it anyway.
So these are the things that hurt his state and hurt his rating as a governor. And now when he runs for mayor, he's getting trounced by a guy that proudly says, I don't like capitalism and I'm a socialist. Is that the future of the party? I think once the day that this guy wins, if in fact he does win on Tuesday, Republicans will be happily running against him. But the guy that would put that strategy together joins us now, the new RNC chair, Joe Gruyters.
Joe, welcome. Congratulations. Hey, thanks so much for having me on, Brian.
So, first off, before we get into the specifics, how do you look at your job? What is your objective? Listen, it's the To do everything I can to make sure we win the midterms for the president. We've got to make sure the president remains the president for four. Four years, and what you're seeing with a shutdown right now is what will happen if we let the Democrats win the House or the Senate back.
Right. And are you worried? I am worried because historically, we're two in 39 in off-cycle elections, the party in power.
So we have a lot of work to do. But listen, we have a president that's That's leading the way every single day. And so we have the momentum. I think we have the policies with us. We have the people behind us.
We're going to do everything we can to make sure we win.
So that mayor's race, does it mean more than just who runs New York City? Listen, it's terrible for America that we're about to elect an anti-semi-communist. to the largest city in the country. And I think it's it just goes it's a reflection of where we are today. As a country, where the Democrats are and the candidates that they're putting forward, here's a guy that's never had a job and wants to give everything away for free.
And the fact that people are buying into the message, it shows you that we have a real problem. He is going to be the face of the Democrat Party, but he's just. Joins the others like AOC and Bernie Sanders and these other radical left extreme. You know, candidates and elected officials who have taken over the Democrat Party, and that's why people are. you know driving over to the Republican side in droves.
So, I want you to hear, we're discovering different tape on this guy almost every day. And here we have his dad. Mondami's father, a radical Columbia professor, right? Listen to what he said about America, Cut 26. America is the genesis.
of what we call settler colonialism. Abraham Lincoln Generalized the solution of reservations. They herded American Indians. Into separate territories. For the Nazis For the Nazis This was the inspiration.
Hitler realized two things. One The genocide was doable. For Nazism and for Hitler's horrific treatment of everybody in Europe outside his Aryan race. Yeah, listen, it's just it's one thing after the next. The fact that this guy is leading in the polls, but what was interesting is when you look at what's actually happening, the people who are voting, the native-borns actually prefer Cuomo, but it's all the legal immigrants that we've let in, the people that have, you know, that are seeking asylum and refugees and people coming here, you know, running away from these different dictators across the world.
And they're coming here and they're voting overwhelmingly for a guy that's going to give them the same thing.
So I want you to understand, too, 2028 is already queuing up. Governor Gavin Newsom tries to make news whenever Kamal Harris does. This is something that will leave America scratching their heads all day. Cut 38 with Jonathan Coral. We'll continue to build on the legacy, I would argue, of our former president, who I think was one of the most successful presidents in the last century, and that is Joe Biden.
And I will defend that to my grave. In terms of the Chips and Science Act, the infrastructure bill, the work he did on the IRA, the fact that he had a worker-centered industrial policy, and the fact that those are the right policies for this country. They're all getting undone, right? I mean, everybody. A lot of them, but not, well, many aspects are being celebrated by the Trump administration.
I didn't know anyone outside Hunter would say that. Your thoughts? Listen, I think Newsom will say anything to try to pick up votes and try to build momentum. But in reality, all he has to do is look at the policies that President Trump has you know, implement his first two hundred and fifty days as it relates to, you know, getting people to invest back in American manufacturing to go to go after and help everyday working Americans. Biden did nothing.
Trump is actually leading the way, and he should be thanking Trump. Uh that he's who's president.
So even the Senate's going to be a tough struggle. You got to make sure you can flip possibly flip in New Hampshire. You want to try to flip in Georgia. You don't have the high profile candidates you want, which would be Governor Kemp. And you have people really you have a solid challenge over in Ohio.
Do you want to handicap some of this? Yeah, well listen. We're actually looking pretty good. And I say that because You know, we we don't have the high profile candidates. You look at Ohio and with Houstead.
You look at Watley, who I whose place I took as the RNC chairman in North Carolina, must hold Wednesdays. They're both, I call them like Eagle Scouts. They're workhorses, they're grinders. They're going to pull out victories even though they're going against high-profile Democrat in their states. I think we're well positioned to win there.
And then we have three pickup opportunities. You're right, Georgia's not the easiest state to win for Republicans right now. Osoff has the largest war chest. But we have a bunch of good candidates running. Kemp would have been the best, but he's not running.
But we do have a lot of other good candidates, and I think whoever emerges from that primary. We'll have a good chance of winning. And then we're going to have New Hampshire, John Sunudu just getting in, coming back to his old seat. I think we have a good chance to flip that one. And our number one prospect is Michigan with Mike Rogers.
You know, he's already proven that he's a good candidate. He's proven that he came just short. A couple years ago, and we think that with everything that's going on in Michigan and with the president's policies and what he's doing, I think we have a great chance. To pick up one to three seats in the Senate. It's interesting with Mike Rogers without a primary, it's certainly helpful, isn't it?
Yeah, listen, and he's a great candidate. He's raising money. He's well-liked. You know, he has a great background, and he's out there working hard. I talk to him on a consistent basis.
And he is preparing to win. And I'm very optimistic. But listen, what it comes down to is we have to continue to support the President and make sure that everything is going smoothly, and we have to raise the money, and we have to make sure we turn our voters out. And that's what we do at the party. We register voters, we turn voters out, and we protect the vote.
We're going to do those. If we do all three of those things well, in the next year and a half, we're going to win.
So a couple of things. When it comes to Michigan, there's a huge Muslim population there, Arab population there. Do you worry that the President's allegiance to Israel will be a turnoff to Muslims in the region? Not at all, because actually I think the the I think the Muslim community, I think we increased our our Our vote percentage. From that demographic in the last cycle, because I think the president's Willingness to To break bread and to include them in some of these discussions and include them as part of our country.
Not a voting group that listen, radical Islam is a serious issue, but there's a lot of American Muslims that I know that like the president, like his policies. They're here in America because they a lot of them are here in America because they want to raise a family in clean, you know, safe neighborhoods and they want a job and want to be able to raise their kids. RNC chair is with us now.
So, Joe, the other issue is what's happening with illegal immigration and ISIS crackdown. It looks as though in some of the polls the president has lost some Hispanic support. Like it or not, even though he's doing exactly what he said he's going to do, most of the people that are being expelled from the country because they're here illegally, mostly seven out of ten are criminals, are Hispanic. How do you tackle that perception that the president might be, you know, the president, how do you tackle his eroding Hispanic support? Yes.
And listen, there's a lot more immigrants than just Hispanic that are getting deported. And what we're talking about is uninvited guests. who came into America and broke our laws. You have to have one of those detainer requests to be you still go through a process, and how do you get a detainer request outstanding?
Well, you've done something bad, you've been previously deported, you miss your court date, it's on them. And it's a and we're right to To make sure that the criminals that are breaking our laws here, if you're an uninvited guest, illegal alien, that you're removed. And I'm glad the president's being so aggressive. And yes, it's costing us so much. support but at the end of the day I think most Americans including Hispanic Americans Support law and order, and they support the policies that the president is pushing.
And I still think we're going to continue to gain votes. In that demographic. All right, Joe. Best of luck. Joe Gruder's brand new RNC chair.
Best of luck. I know you had your hands full, but it's a fun job, right? Yeah. It's amazing. Listen, you go to bat for the president of the United States every single day to somebody who truly cares about the well-being of average everyday Americans.
It's truly a gift. Lastly, before I go to you, I didn't ask you about Jack Chitterelli. He's within two points in the last two polls. I mean, what could you tell our viewers or our listeners about this race?
Well, listen, he was He was a great candidate before. He's even the better candidate now. I've campaigned with him. I'm going to be campaigning with him again this weekend on his bus tour. The guy is amazing.
You could feel the energy that he creates as he goes down the street and talks to people. He's a winner. Mickey Shirley has stubbed her toe quite a few times. But really, Jack Chitterelli, with now the endorsement of all these Democrat mayors, The fact that the rabbis, a group of rabbis have come out and endorsed them. I think you're seeing a shift in New Jersey.
I think that out of all the candidates we have, Chitterelli is the one guy that actually can win.
Well listen, this is a blue state. And then what it's going to come down to is will our voters Show up to vote? Will the people that love the president, love the president's policies, and love everything that's going on with America? Up to vote for one of our own and absolutely great guy. We are very optimistic about Jack, but it's going to come down to turnout.
Got it. Thanks so much. Appreciate it, Joe. Thank you, Brian. All right, we've got our first hour of finishing up next block.

What you heard from the president earlier today is what I've heard from him in the last week or two as well. He has our farmers close to his heart, our rice farmers and soybean farmers in Arkansas. For instance, he's very worried about our manufacturers who've had lost so many jobs over the last few decades. to China. He's worried that China has developed genuine leverage over the United States in some critical points, like rare earth elements that are so vital to modern manufacturing.
China has done this by waging economic war against our farmers and our manufacturers and our high-tech industry for decades.
So that is Senator Tom Cotton. That was prior to the meeting yesterday, and just looked forward to it and saw a lot of things the president did to try to. You know, lessen the stranglehold that China has over rare earth. And the thing is, and he's worried as not worried, I'm just curious. We have this TikTok deal.
The president has not put anything on Truth Social about the TikTok deal, which we thought was virtually done and announced over the weekend when Scott Besson did all the Sunday shows. But we just want to make sure the algorithm is not in China.
Now, I'm not sure why China would give it up, being that they can get our information and control the news cycle, you know, subtly, you know, not blatantly. But subtly, make sure no pro-Taiwan or pro-Israel stories are out there. You know, nine out of every ten scenes of the war in Gaza were negative. Uh towards Israel.
So Open to this. Member Congress said two things. They said, either sell it. Or just ban it. And the president said, I'm going to try to sell it.
I'm going to try to buy it. And he put together the group to buy it and the board to run it, one of which is Lachlan Murdoch, who runs this place. And Oracle's president Ellison is the one who gets it. And the president really trusts him to do things. But that was Tom Cotton weighing in on the importance of this relationship, but trust but verify perception.
Here's Gordon Chang. He was on with Laurie Ingram last night, hours before this. Hours before this meeting began. Cut fourteen. There's going to be a trade truce with China.
And the great thing about this, Laura, is that during this period, Trump is going to make the United States less vulnerable to China on rare earths and certainly on pharmaceuticals. We're seeing this in semiconductors as well. And the Chinese, what are they going to do with their year?
Well, they're going to double down on industrial policy, which means they'll become even more trade dependent, which means they're going to become more dependent on the U.S. market. You know, U.S. consumers count for about 34% of global consumer spending. China cannot deal without having access to our market.
And Xi Jinping knows that. Trump knows that. Trump is the one using the leverage to do that. And that's great. Thank God we got a president who is using American power for American ends.
And their stock market, too, and they need access. They have hundreds of companies on our stock market able to raise some money and get some financing. If we kick them off, they would not be thriving, to say the least. But I want to talk over to the mayor's race that we discussed a little bit before in New York. The more you find out about Zo Ram M.
Donny, I played his father's comments the other day. The other thing his mother said, his mother was quoted as saying a year ago: My son's not really an American. He's really more of a Ugandan Indian. Really? He's more he's really more part of those countries than this country.
Now that's a movie producer, very successful. The dad is a successful professor, radical left professor. You don't have a kid that grew up conservative like Michael J. Fox. And opposite of that.
This guy was a radical through his entire time. And that's why people like Chuck Schumer will not answer the question as if whether he will endorse him or not. Cut twenty-nine. Look, the bottom line is very simple. I have a good relationship with him, and we're continuing to talk.
The bottom line is very simple. I'm not saying anything. Just say, how about this? I've been friends with Andrew Cuomo for years. I'm going to support him.
If he wins, I'll support the winner. There's so many ways to get out of this. They are totally panicked because they want it both ways. He's energized the youth in their party and the left wing of their party, and they're acknowledging they can't lose that. That's why people are nice to AOC.
But the bulk of their party is nowhere near my mom Donnie, they hope anyway.
So that's going to be key. The guy is flat out dangerous, and you got a chance to see his real personality. If you ever watch the video of him in Albany screaming at Tom Holman, he had to be restrained. And if you ever have the time, and I'm sure you don't have the interest, but it might be a learned moment to watch him Sunday in Forest Hills. Man, he was angry.
He was Defiant. He wasn't the happy-go-lucky guy taking all questions, talking about how he's being misperceived.
So Cuomo is trying to. get some energy in. And he also knows he's been picking up in the polls, but still far away, double digits far away. And Curtis Leewood with fourteen points. You put that fourteen points on top of McCuomo's thirty three, it beats the forty three from Mondami.
And Cuomo is focussing on Republicans. Here he is, Last night Target about what's happened to his party, cut 31.
It's not just about mayor of New York, it's about the future of the Democratic Party. And he keeps saying that he's going to raise the taxes to mirror New Jersey. No one in New Jersey says, wow, I wish New York's.
Taxes were higher. Corporations are not going to embrace that. The people of New Jersey are not happy with their taxes. They are way too high. That's why any successful politician would never raise them.
but he wants to match them. That's not anything to run on, what's even thinking? Brian Killmee Chill. Don't forget, November 1st, this Saturday, History Liberty lasts, 5 p.m. Potts Town, Pennsylvania.
From high atop Fox News headquarters in New York City, always seeking solutions, never sowing division. It's Brian Killmead. All right, we're welcome everybody from 40th and 6th in Midtown Manhattan, where it's raining, but I don't blame you. This hour we're going to be joined by Kennedy. She's arrived: Bruce Blakeman, Nassau County Executive.
If you put that as a state in Essex County and in terms of a population, it'd be the 15th biggest state in the country.
So, Bruce Blakeman is going to be with us running for re-election. He has a different take on ICE. He does this thing in New York called cooperating with ICE. Not the case in Chicago, not the case in Seattle. And Kennedy is going to be unoutnumbered shortly, but just not yet.
Am I right, Kennedy? Yeah, that's right. If I went on outnumbered like this. I'd get a couple of phone calls. No hats.
No hats. No hats. No sweats? No. No sweats?
No sweats. That's not in the color wheel? It's definitely not in the color wheel. Terry Cole. I got a talking to about the sweatshirt that I wore on Wilkain and Jimmy Phala's show.
But it was red, white, and blue. It's this great, like, patriotic sweatshirt. And I was like, oh, I thought because it was patriotic. And they're like, no, thank you. Who talks to you as somebody?
I can't say.
Okay. Yeah. I'm already in enough trouble. All right, let's get to the big three. Number three.
And this sort of bizarre idea that Generation Z is going to carry us forward into a conservative future. I'm not seeing the evidence for that as a general matter. Mamdani being a perfect encapsulation of this. Ben Shapiro weighing in. Three races we are watching.
Five days to go: New Jersey governor's race, Virginia governor's race, and New York City mayoral race as the leading candidate's mom. What are we gonna hear from her? Number two. Like for 29 days, understand Donald Trump has spent more time. Talking to Hamas.
and the Chinese Communist Party. than he has in talking to Democrats. to end the Trump shutdown. Trump shut down doesn't it's not even It doesn't even ring. Doesn't have the same ring as Schumer Shutdown, Brian.
Yeah, that's an alliteration, don't you think? Schumer Shutdown? Yeah, it rolls off the tongue, sadly. Shutdown day 30, and tempers are flaring. Attention, Chuck, get the message.
Republicans aren't caving to the extortion. We'll see what happens because some people not in leadership are beginning to talk. Number one. How soon do you I think you Could sign a trade deal with China.
Well, I think pretty soon we have not too many major stumbling blocks. We have a deal. President Trump says out of 10, his meeting with China was a 12. We're going to give you the details. And he heads home to hand out Halloween candy, legitimately, with Melania today.
Adorable. Yeah. Kennedy, your thoughts about the China deal. First off, were you on the team? Were you on with Treasury trying to work out the details of this?
Yes, I'm known as an informal advisor to the administration. How informal? You can dress informal? I can dress informal. No one really takes my calls.
Like, I have big ideas. Right. Like, I'm an idea gal. Right. And I'm just waiting for them to really embrace that.
And so I would say informal is 100% accurate. It's less formal than. Being Treasury Secretary, certainly. Right. You know what?
I'm not Steve Witkoff. Right. You haven't spent your life in real estate, and then one tried to bring Middle East peace. Have you spent any time in real estate? I've bought and sold Holmes.
Good enough. I feel like that's a great statement. Were they your homes? Yes. Yes, they were.
I do not have a real estate license, but I'm a libertarian. I think that society is over-licensed. All right. Is that what you're going to go with when the lawsuits come to an end? All right.
I'm just staying true to my school, Judge. Your witness. Yeah. Free speech and the Fed, Judge. Am I right?
Taxation is theft. Who's with me? And that's true. If you can win over the general audience instead of the jury, a lot of people focus on the jury on these trials. I want the gallery.
Yeah, exactly. I want the gallery. You up top there. I was found guilty, but the audience loved me. They ate it up.
Yeah, they loved it. Your job, as a defendant, do you think your job is to entertain those who come? I think if you do it properly, yes. I think it's more comprehensive than people like to think going into the gambit. Right.
But yeah. When you can cook. With gas on all cylinders, I say that's a victory regardless of the outcome. Right. I think too many people focus on the final score.
Yeah, not everyone. And what happened to life's a journey, not a destination? Right. You can't have it both ways. You could, but it's what I tell myself to ease the pain.
Exactly.
So, as we get into the, you didn't get up in the middle of the night like I did. And I got a chance to see the before game and after game action in the Chinese deal. Wow. I find it unbelievable that some people think this trip wasn't unbelievably successful. I don't even know if we have the sound bite, but Chuck Schumer said last night: this trip has been a real dud.
You're right. Except for those dumb trade deals that keep getting in the way, except for the rare earth deal that you got with Malaysia, especially with that bonding with the prime minister. What a waste of time of Japan, who also promised to bolster up their defense, which alleviates a lot of the pressure on us, and invest $550 billion with us. Oh, and the signing of that trade deal with South Korea, that's really going to come back to haunt us, as we also agree to let them buy a nuclear submarine from us while we make it here.
So then he goes and meets with President Xi. And I'm going to bring you to something you're not going to hear all day. The attitude going in, you know, Trump always says he's a good friend of mine. All right. So, I guess President Xi had an opportunity to say, not so friendly, or.
Or, you know, we don't get along. I look forward to doing something good. Yeah, or like Mariah Carey, when she's asked about J-Lo, and she goes. I I don't think we've ever even met. And and Jayla's like, Mariah, We have hung out together.
Like we've been in the same recording studio. I've met you seven or eight times. And Mariah's like, yeah, still, I've heard of her. Yeah, that is the perfect analogy. Yeah.
I mean, and a lot of people, I think, in Chinese would make that analogy, but I have to wait for the translation or so I'd roll the sound bite in. I'm so glad you gave it to me. This is President Xi before he won in, just to give you an idea of the tone.
Now, compare this to the meeting in Alaska when Joe Biden took over. You basically had his people meet with the Chinese people who berated America for our imperialistic, belligerent ways. Really? And then Anthony Blinken sat there and goes, This isn't going well. And then the defense secretary tried to get his counterpart on the phone for 18 months.
Nothing. And then you have this cutting. That's embarrassing. I think. President Trump.
It is a great pleasure. From me as well to meet you. Since your re-election We have spoken on the phone three times, exchanged several letters, and stayed in close contact. Under our joint guidance, China's relations have remained stable on the whole. Given our different national conditions, we do not always see eye to eye with each other, and it is normal.
for the two leading economies of the world to have frictions now and then. And in the face of winds, waves and challenges, you and I, at the helm of China US relations, should stay the right course. and ensure the steady sailing forward of the giant ship of China US relations. Ooh, good starter. Very, very impressive speech.
Also, um That is as close to groveling as you are going to hear from a Chinese leader. Differential. Yes. And so, you know, the Chinese People's Daily, Chinese People's Daily newspaper, which is the, which, when they want to send us a message, you read that because it's obviously in English. Number one, number two is they usually say things that is policy of the government.
And they were, the first three headlines were all positive. And just to give you more of an idea, let's listen, Carter Levin. Mr. President, I am ready to continue working with you to build a solid foundation for China-US relations and create a sound atmosphere for the development of both countries.
So they went ahead and bought soybeans. It's going to start right away. They went ahead and they're starting to say for a year we're not going to touch rare earth. It gives us a year to get some other places to get it. Australia, Greenland.
We're already doing it.
Well, I mean, one thing the president's done is kind of getting deals. The problem is. I know I don't, we could be drilling, we could be mining, we could be refining. Here But environmentalists like in places like Minnesota have stopped it.
So the President's trying to get that done, but at the same time, going to those places you just mentioned, I think Argentina would be next to start doing rare earth deals to get past it. If we could get past rare earth and pharmaceuticals with China, we'd almost be free of them and be freer to even drive a tougher deal. And it it just goes to show you that China is worried about their economy. And they know they need access to The American Market. They need American consumers.
Uh to buy their products, fill up Walmart shelves. We love a bargain. We love buying stuff. We love going on Amazon and getting a few things here and there. We love the dopamine hit.
That's never going away. No matter what happens with the US economy, you will always have consumers. eager to alleviate their anxiety with the A little purchase here and there, Brian.
So the president comes back with those trade deals, as I mentioned, and Hakeem Jeffries says, well, he shouldn't have left. On what planet should he not have left? This impacts everybody. If Hamas and the Chinese Communist Party are being more rational. and conversational than Democrats.
then I think that's an indictment of Hakeem Jeffries and his leadership. As opposed to the president. We don't always agree. We're agreeing a lot now.
So where are you? I knew you were going to come around to my side. Oh, so I knew you'd be impressed by my. informal advisorship And you'd want to get on the the K-train. The reason why you got that job is the Mariah Carey comparison.
That analogy is why Besson calls your name. It's non-traditional, but I paint a picture, Brian. Yes, you paint a picture. By the way, Mario Carrie, not a good painter. She is not.
So here's the headline. Even an abstract. Do you tell me if this is a good headline or not? And no pressure. Wow, now I feel pressure.
She says, ready to work with Trump to build a solid foundation for bilateral ties. Not Trying to reverse it and say she lets Donald Trump know exactly what it's going to take to restore diplomatic. That's what I'm used to. I go to this once a week because I'm lonely and no one calls. And you don't really have much to do during the day.
Right, except for this. China unveils outcomes of the U.S. China U. S. economic trade talks.
China's industrial upgrading conducive to global growth.
So everything is a positive, interesting. They're Mini Wall Street Journal. If they weren't happy with that, They would have used that to say, well, President Xi had a different tone in that room as opposed to what they're saying in their room. No, they would be happy to contradict it and. You know, Donald Trump has figured out you cannot humiliate and browbeat everybody.
Yeah, it doesn't work with everyone. Right. And, you know, it's like. Joe Biden couldn't even get access. Right.
It only works with Rosie O'Donnell. It forced her out of the country. It did. I mean. But to your ancestral home.
How do you feel about that, bro? Can't go until she leaves. That's what I've heard you say. Back in a moment. Breaking news.
The latest headlines. Exciting commentary. People are aroused. I haven't seen people so aroused in a very, very long time. It's Brian Kilmead.
If you're interested in it, Brian's talking about it. You're with Brian Kilmead. Tonight, the Dodgers are hosting game five. By winning last night, the Blue Jays guaranteed a return to Toronto and a game six or possibly even a game seven, which is All right, get them. I should have known better.
Get those kids out of here, will you? By the way, according to dictionary.com, the word of the year for 2025, they've already decided, is 6-7. 6-7? I said I'm out of here with that. Come on, guys, let's go, let's go, come on.
So, Kenny, you always can help me with pop culture. I have no idea. I've read about it. My children don't say it. It means nothing.
It's something where you can apply your own meaning.
So some people have applied. a filthy meaning and others just say it because they know it gets a rise. Out of the uh the elders. Do you guys know? No, I agree completely with Kenny.
I mean, mine five-year-olds are at home doing it because they're hearing the older kids do it. They have no idea what it is. But any time they hear six, seven, they're doing the same thing. It's just entertaining. You have no idea.
Pete hangs out with kids. I saw him at middle school the other day. That's not true. It's like an anti-meme at this point. It's funny because it's not funny.
I guess. Right. This explains why Jimmy Kimmel was doing it. Yeah, he's not funny anymore. I heard that.
So, I mean, by the way, do you follow baseball? Yes. Your thoughts? I'm disgusted at the World Series. Because you're a Los Angeles.
You're a Los Angeles? No, I'm I've been a Yankees fan since I was in high school.
Okay. Growing up in Portland, we had a minor league team.
So it's like, who do you like? I did not like the Mariners. I respect them. I had fun going to Mariners games when I lived in Seattle, but I am a Yankees fan. And so seeing our two foes compete against each other, I wish they could both lose.
But I had predicted that Toronto was going to do horribly and would not win one game because Los Angeles looked so good. Going into the series, and they have For lack of a better term, pooped the bed. Can I just also say that? I hate to use. and amber herdism, but I have no choice here, Brian.
Yeah. Hey, just remember that. That's a trial you won't let go of. It'd really change your life, right? You can't.
I recalibrated with that now. Mm. You were re you were spiraling. Until your trial came across. Found myself.
Like, I found myself. This guy, I'm definitely better than that woman. Right. Is that what you're thinking? Is that what you want?
Yeah. So I thought it was just really interesting. This Mondami guy. It's why I've once in a while you go, this old tape popped up. I know you're saying his name wrong.
Are you doing that on purpose? Like. George H. W. Bush used to call him Mario Cuomo just to make him mad.
Mom Donnie, not Mom Dommy. Not mommy dommy.
So I want you to know how he became what he became. We know his mom's on the record, a tape last night I just saw with Laura, that a mom's on the record saying that her son is not an American. He's more of a Ugandan Indian. Yeah. Get along here in America.
He's not that type of person. That hurts, yeah. And I listen to the person that raised him, the dad, the guy at Columbia. Listen to this: Cut 26. America is the genesis.
of what we call settler colonialism. Abraham Lincoln generalized the solution of reservations. They herded American Indians. Into separate territories. For the Nazis.
For the Nazis This was the inspiration. Hitler realized two things. One The genocide was doable. And by the way, who every known know everyone knows Hitler loved Lincoln. Just a big Lincoln fan.
So this is the guy who raised. Yeah, he was all in on Lincoln. See what she's used to walk around. I'm going full score. I'm Sephiro.
Yeah. It's like what a flimsy Ding-dong. Just hates America. I'll reach into any. Yeah.
And I will take disparate points and connect them. What intellectual laziness. With no bridge. No evidence, no data. It's like, wow, okay, good for you.
So How is he winning? You live in New York City. I don't. The other candidates and the people I talk to, I've only talked to a couple of people who are actually voting for Mom Donnie. And they were excited by His Instagram presence and his TikTok videos.
And they're like, ooh, he's so cool. Like, he's so good at explaining things. And again, you have more intellectual laziness because They don't indulge the possibility. of unintended consequences. And you know, there there are so many flaws with socialism, but the biggest being That it is a zero-sum enterprise.
Meaning they don't believe That wealth can be created and regenerated. They believe that wealth is zero sum, that there is just one pie, and the billionaires take all the pieces of the pie, and everyone else is left with crumbs. And that's what they sell. And that is not. Economics.
That is not how the world works. Wealth creates Wealth. It also creates jobs and innovation and a tax base.
So when you invite all of that to leave, you cannot pay for the stuff that you have promised the people who bought into your zero-sum nonsense. I totally disagree. I'm only kidding. That was a wonderful explanation. Thank you.
Again, you can use that outnumbered in 90 minutes. Consider it done, Brian. All right, thanks. I enjoyed our time together. As did I.
I think America's a better place because of it. I love America. You're serve, Bruce Blakeman. You're next. Back in a moment.
Radio that makes you think. This is the Brian Kill Me Show. He's a hypocrite and a liar, and the most dangerous threat that New York politics has seen, I would say, not just in my lifetime, but maybe the lifetime of the city. Tell you of the greatest police department in the world. He accuses them of putting their boots on the necks of innocent New Yorkers.
We have the most Jewish people in New York City, any other city in the world, and yet he was enabling Hamas supporters to be carrying on in the streets, attacking Jews. You can go down the list. I mean, every talking about global intrafata, he wants to drive business out of New York, which is going to eliminate so many jobs. This man is, he wants to change the spirit, the culture, and the whole face of New York City. Yes, he does.
And he wants other people mimicking him. Running for mayor in various cities and who knows soon for governor. He can be successful. But the new Q poll came out, and it's Mondame with forty-three, which is anemic for a frontrunner. Thirty-three for Cuomo.
Sleewa has fourteen percent. Six percent are undecided. Obviously, if Curtis had dropped out, even though he is the true Republican in the race and he had the unimposed primary, and it is Cuomo that lost his primary and decided to go as an independent, but if Curtis had dropped out, if you just get some of those guys, all of a sudden instead of a double-digit deficit, it would be a lot closer and maybe get people to give it a second thought. Joining us now is Nassau County Executive.
Okay, in a matter of moments, Bruce Blakeman is going to be with us. And you have if you want to see something dramatic, if you're listening around the country, Nassau County and New York City, dramatically different. Even though a lot of people work in New York City from Nassau County and think Suffolk County, think of the Hamptons around the country, it's Nassau County closer to the city, dramatically different in terms of support. Cuomos pointed to the fact that he's picked up four points since the last Q poll. Q polls tend to lean towards left.
And Cuomo said this: This is the second poll in a week showing that Mondami is stuck below 45% despite a lack of scrutiny and glowing press conference. And not and Andrew Cuomo is still gaining. He closed the gap three points from the last Cube poll, and his coalition is expanding, keeping a third of Democrats winning, a half on Republicans leading with Independents.
So he is focusing on, that's why he comes on Fox so much now. He's focusing on winning among as many Republicans as possible. Schumer, meanwhile, will not even say who he's voting for. On the other side, Mikey Sherrill has got to be panicking. This combat veteran who flies helicopters as a congresswoman, who can't really defend or name a policy she's in support of, or defend that she got smacked around by taking stock picks, insider stock picks, and that gained her at least $7 million in wealth and has no explanation for it.
And because Jack Chitterelli is so indefatigable in going to places Republicans don't, he is now within two points in the last two polls. I think that is pretty amazing.
So yesterday, Mikey Sherrill rolled out. Mikey Cheryl rolled out Mayor Pete. I'm pretty sure that's not going to get you one vote in New Jersey, but she's trying to nail make Chittarelli a Trump clone. That's her new approach. Yeah, yeah.
As I have a vision to build out public transit because we know how hard it is to get around New Jersey in too many cases.
So again, I'm going to fight for people to get to and from work, to get to and from the shore, to not have to sit in traffic for hours, to get home to their families. And Jack's going to do whatever Trump tells them to do.
So that's why I'm fighting so hard for opportunity here to make sure that we can drive down costs, to make sure people have better job opportunities that they can get to and get back and forth. Yeah, but there's nothing in a record that proves that. There's not a program that shows that.
So that's her problem.
So that's why these are bad candidates. This is what they were saying before the election started. After Mikey Sherrow won the nomination and Abigail Spamberger won the nomination to. Try to win the governorship in November, that's next Tuesday. They said these people, they are so strong, they are probably front runners.
to be the running mate. of any other person that emerged from for the 2028 campaign. I don't think either one is emerging strong. Both are showing huge problems. They're not instinctive politicians.
They don't feel secure enough to talk about a policy because they're afraid of saying the wrong thing. Didn't Donald Trump teach you that that's not going to work in today's day and age? Didn't he show you that to a degree? Mondami sticks to two or three talking points almost like George W. Bush did for a while.
But for the most part, I think we're done for the fact that the inauthentic Gavin Newsom, if people understand the general public, will see through that, even if Democrats don't. And then you have.
Someone like Cuomo is himself. Like it or not, that's him. Mondami is himself, although I think he's covered up his true beliefs, to modernize to modulate himself to a degree. But Spamberger, when you see her at the debate, staring straight ahead while she's being challenged, You know that's a problem. The other big problem is what's happening with What's happened with the government shutdown?
750,000 people are furloughed. Millions are not getting their paychecks, missing more than one in some cases. And there's a few Democrats that are speaking out and standing up. One is the congressman from New Jersey, Josh Gottheimer. Listened to him yesterday, Cut 25.
Now, keep in mind, the deal he's talking about is the one that Senator Thune put out there that said, We will guarantee you we will talk about the subsidies needed on Obamacare that stayed at pandemic levels for years too long. But I understand if you care about it, we'll look at that in the next few weeks. But open up the government first, Cut 25. I think what's a very fair deal is open the government and let's just vote on extending these premiums for a year or more.
Well, I don't understand what's so hard about that. And by the way, Senator Thune has offered that, I believe. He said we'll have a vote. He offered up a vote that we can actually have a vote on extending these premiums. I think when put to it, you're going to see Democrat and Republicans, senators, and Congress men and women want to vote for that.
Why would you not want to vote to extend help with these tax credits, get premiums down for people? People are getting hurt right now in their pocketbooks. They really, really need help.
So why not give them some help? And open up the government and then work on these other things. Get it in writing if you're worried about the trust factor. It's easy to put some, there's off-ramps available if they want to take them. Democrats have to be convinced that they're getting blamed for them to do it because Republicans aren't going to budge.
We come back. Bruce Blakeman joins us, Republican Nassau County executive, great friend of President Trump's running for reelection. Don't move. Diving deep into today's top stories, it's Brian Kilmead. Breaking news, unique opinions.
Hear it all on the Brian Kill Me Show. Hey, we are back, and Bruce Blakeman joins us now. Nassau County executive running for re-election. It's coming up on Tuesday and running really strong as a Republican. He's very tight with President Trump, and he is also one of the first to push back on the trans men in women's locker rooms.
Got pushback from Governor Hoko. He also is doing this thing called Circle It Now, Pay Attention, Cooperating with ICE, Making sure that partnership is solid. Bruce, welcome back. Thank you very much, Brian. It's good to be with you again.
So, when you decide to do this, That's really not what New York State does. How much autonomy do you have? to allowed the Nassau County cops to cooperate with ICE.
Well, we're the total opposite of New York State. When I came into office, I declared that we were not a sanctuary county. We would not engage in a migrant program. And we were the first county in the United States to have a comprehensive agreement with both our police department and our sheriff's department with ICE, and it's made us a much safer county. I am being attacked by the ultra-left-wing progressives in Albany.
and New York City. Who don't like the tact that I've taken because it's contrary to what they want to do. They're destroying our state, they're destroying the city of New York. Homelessness is out of control. Crime is out of control.
We have overcrowded schools as a result. And billions of dollars have been given away by Governor Kathy Hochl. uh to illegal migrants, many of whom have criminal records. And we need the money for the schools, for infrastructure, for our hospitals, and it's just a shame. That she's wasting taxpayer dollars on people who've been here for 15 minutes.
Right, and they go into schools, and a lot of them don't speak English. What kind of toll does that play on the teachers and the school system?
Well, here's the interesting thing, Brian. I was contacted by a number of school districts, primarily In minority areas, who said, listen, we don't want these people here. Uh, we don't want 150 kids showing up on our door that we haven't planned for. We don't have the classroom space, we don't have the teachers, we don't have. The technology.
So they were the first ones to contact me. And here's an interesting fact. We did some polling after we did it. just to see what the attitudes were because I was warned by so many people Not to have this agreement with ICE said it would inflame the Hispanic American community.
Well, it's just the opposite, Brian. sixty two percent to sixty six percent of Hispanic Americans in Nassau County love the fact that we have an agreement with ICE because they don't want criminals in their neighborhoods. They don't want their schools overcrowded. They don't want homelessness in their neighborhoods. Uh they don't want that stuff.
And uh As a result, we don't see what you're seeing in New York City and the other large metropolitan areas throughout the United States. And an interesting fact, Last month ICE and our police department We arrested 47 illegal migrants, all with criminal records. 28 of them were engaged in gang-related activities, selling drugs to our kids. attempted robbery, carjackings.
So it's been working really well for us, and I think that Anybody who's a critic is is really just hurting their own community.
So, I guess we're going to see where that goes. In terms of the way ICE, have you seen backlash of them in the street with their presence that we're seeing in Chicago and in Portland? Not at all. Not in Nassau County. A couple of people tried to intimidate ICE early on.
Sometime in March when we first entered into the agreement, some people from New York City came into Nassau County thinking that they were going to bully ICE agents. And along with our police department, we've got a great commissioner, Pat Ryder, who does an outstanding job. We put it to bed right away and it hasn't happened since. We're making arrests each and every day, either incarcerating or deporting criminals, getting them out of Nassau County. And that's why U.S.
News and World Magazine said that we were the safest county in America. And how does that play into your election? When it came in, one of the first things you want to do is address law enforcement, right? Yes. So basically, I've hired over six hundred Law enforcement professionals, 400 police officers, 200 correction officers.
A number of probation officers. Uh we are doing everything that we need to do. uh with respect to personnel then we're buying technology we just invested in police training village that is state of the art. Attorney General Pam Bondi cut the ribbon. You did an expose on it.
You did an outstanding job. And we're very proud of that. We are very pro-law enforcement here in Nassau County. Our residents love our cops. And what you do too is you do an exchange too with Israel, correct?
You learn from each other. A lot of other countries have called to use your city.
So you made a mock city, it looks like a movie set. And people train on it, whether it's a school that's locked down, or a gas station has been taken over, or a train, you have them all there. Yes, we wanted to replicate real life situations for training our police officers so they could do a better job and they could be safer. And we've opened it up to other law enforcement agencies across the United States. And we've also opened it up to international law enforcement agencies and Homeland Security agencies.
Our police commissioner, Pat Ryder, just got back from Israel, where He spent 10 days there. Talking with The Israeli National Police, the Mossad, the Shinbet, and the IDF about training techniques. they are going to come here to Nassau County and cross train with us. We've had representatives from the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Um Colombia, Panama. all come to talk to us about potentially using our training facility.
And also, I should mention South Korea as well.
So the other big story that's happening in New York City, where a lot of the people in Nassau County commute every single day, you're a conservative, you're a Republican. How do you explain the fact that somebody so inverse from you with a lot of the same people with work there Would be as open to a socialist. I'll tell you right now, a socialist would never win in Suffolk County, New York, would never win in Nassau County, New York. Why is a socialist 10 points up in New York City?
Well, I'll tell you. Basically, this guy, Mamdami, is a fraud. He's a fake. He's a communist. He's anti American.
He's definitely anti-cop. He's pro-criminal. And he promised everybody everything for free. And that's contrary to the Judeo Christian work ethic that This country was founded upon capitalism. You work hard.
and you produce for your family and you prosper. Uh he is antithetical to that, and he's also a virulent anti-Semite. My parents were both World War II veterans. I think I'm one of the few people that can say that. My mother joined the Army World War II.
Uh they're rolling over in their graves thinking that A communist, anti-American, virulent, anti-Semite could be the mayor of the financial capital of the world. It's just, It's mind-boggling that that could potentially happen.
So, I want you to hear what Chuck Schumer had to say. Who has not endorsed him? Gillibrand not endorsed him. Both New York senators, Democrats, not endorsed him. Laura Gillen, not endorsed him.
Tom Swazi didn't endorse him. These are all Democrats. Cut 29. Look, the bottom line is very simple. I um don't Good relationship with him, and we're continuing to talk.
Well, basically what it means to me is That they're abstaining from getting in the fight against the communist and anti-Semite, someone who's anti-American, someone who's anti-COP. show a little courage and come out against them. Don't keep it in neutral. Put it in drive, put the pedal to the metal and call him out for what he is. Uh this this neutral behavior of trying to act like Switzerland Is not courageous at all.
I think that basically, if they want to save their party, which is in terrible shape nationally. What they need to do is stand up and be courageous.
So I think that they're making a mistake by just saying they're not going to endorse them. Pick a side. Absolutely. Lastly, Governor Gavin Newsom. Uh came out and was asked about Joe Biden.
He thinks the country's in the middle of a calamity because Donald Trump's president. Listen to his review of Joe Biden, Cut 38. We'll continue to build on the legacy, I would argue, of our former president, who I think was one of the most successful presidents in the last century. And that is Joe Biden. And I will defend that to my grave in terms of the Chips and Science Act, the Infrastructure Bill, the work he did on the IRA.
Do you think he means that? No, what I think is I think he was in Northern California in San Francisco, where drugs are legal, and he probably imited in too much. To think that Joe Biden was successful is a joke. We had open borders, we had rampant crime, Uh the economy tanked, inflation went through the roof. And the country was in a malaise.
Our military was decimated. Think about what President Trump has done. in just ten months. It's just remarkable. The guy has boundless energy.
Uh he just uh brokered a deal uh with President G in China. They were in South Korea in a summit, and uh look what he did bringing peace to the Middle East. He's working hard for peace around the world. Our economy is doing great. He's taking a tough stand on tariffs.
We've been getting ripped off for years by other countries, and finally, we're standing up for the American worker. I think that President Trump's doing an outstanding job. I'm not afraid to say it. And I'm not going to back down in my support for President Trump. I think he's doing a marvelous job.
Right. And Gavin Newsom thinks he the Bidens were the good old days. It's hard to imagine this is the same country. Bruce, and finally, your thoughts about reelection?
Well, you know, I'm working real hard. We're the safest county in America. I haven't raised taxes in four years, not even a penny. Uh we've gotten seven bond upgrades.
So uh I hope that the people appreciate all the good things that we've been able to do. I'm confident, but not overconfident. I'm going to run through the tape. On Tuesday night, not slow down a bit. And hopefully the people will honor me with another term as and you'll be ready to go.
Bruce Blakeman, thanks so much. From the Fox News Radio Studios in Midtown Manhattan, it's the fastest-growing radio talk show. Brian Kilmead. Hi, everyone.
Brian Kilman here. Thanks so much for listening. I come to you from 48th and 6th in Midtown Manhattan. But we are a national show, even though a lot of focus is on this mayor's race right in New York City because people feel this socialism/slash communism could be coming across the country. Mark Thiessen is standing by, and Chris McGuire, former National Security Council Technology and National Security.
a National Security Deputy Senior Editor, former State Department Senior Advisor of Technology. We're going to be talking about what we discussed in this China deal that went that just was completed, not signed, but all but agreed upon just a few hours ago. Before we get to Mark, let's get to the big three. Number three. And this sort of bizarre idea that Generation Z is going to carry us forward into a conservative future.
I'm not seeing the evidence for that as a general matter. Mamdani being a perfect encapsulation of this. That, of course, is Ben Shapiro. Three races we're watching: five days to go: New Jersey, Virginia, and New York City Mayor's Race. We're going to talk about the final game plan and what the polls are telling us, it's all on full display.
Number two. Like for 29 days, understand, Donald Trump has spent more time. Talking to Hamas. and the Chinese Communist Party. than he has in talking to Democrats.
to end the Trump shutdown. He's just awful. Shutdown day 30. Tempers are flaring. Attention, Chuck.
Get the message. Republicans are not caving to the extortion. And there's 750,000 people who were furloughed. Millions going without food and paychecks. Nice.
Number How soon do you think you could sign a trade deal with China? I think pretty soon. We have not too many major stumbling blocks. We have a deal. There you go.
China-U.S. meeting done. President Trump is heading home for Halloween. We break down what we know and recap the successful trip.
So, what can we tell you? I saw the pregame, I saw the post-game, and now I have the president talking on Air Force One. He says one to 10, I give it a 12. On Rare Earth, settled for a year, they're going to continue. On fentanyl, promised to crack down.
The president, in good faith, cuts 10% off to 20% on tariff because of that. In terms of technology transfer, we're not going to do it. In terms of chips, NVIDIA is going to go interact directly with China. In terms of. In terms of a nuclear, some type of nuclear deal with all three countries, Russia and us, the President said, we'll be working on that.
In the meantime, I'm going to resume testing for the first time since 1992. I love that messaging. Just some of the things we know about the deal points and why the President is so happy. Let's bring in Mark Thiessen. Mark, what do you think?
Well, first of all, that going back to that Hakeem Jeffries quote about how he's spending more time negotiating with Hamas and Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party than he is with Democrats, they're more reasonable. That that that that doesn't say what you think it says. Yeah. If he can get a deal with Habas, but he can't get a deal with Hakeem Jeffries, there's something wrong with Hakeem Jeffries. That he's bringing that up.
And I love when they can't, they won't negotiate. It's like, you know, they're negotiating with terrorists. Like, Trump actually can negotiate with terrorists when they're willing to negotiate. Senator, uh, Senator Schumer said, well, this trip has been a dud. What's he looking at?
I mean, it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard him say, and he said a lot of dumb things. Yeah, I mean the Democrats are in a world of hurt right now. They are buffeted on either side by Trump's juggernaut on the right and Mom Dani's insurgency on the left. And they've gotten and they don't know what to do. They are unable to they have no leverage except this shutdown and it's not leverage that they think it is.
Trump is standing there saying, no, we'll continue to fund the government at Biden levels. We're not even asking for any riders or policy riders or any changes. And they're saying, no, we're going to put all the TSA workers out of work. We're going to put all the air traffic controllers out of work. We're going to put all make your life miserable in order to continue Biden's COVID spending.
That's their position. That's not sustainable. And it's just they ought to just pull the bandaid off and get it done and capitulate now because it's just going to be more painful down the line. It is, and it's causing a lot of people pain outside the government because they're still getting paid. June, in terms of what China's agreed to, the farmers got to be happy when the Treasury Secretary said this, cut thirteen.
Chinese have agreed to buy 12 million metric tons of soybeans during this season. Right now, then for the next three years, they're going to be buying a minimum. A minimum of 25 million metric tr tons per annum for the next three years.
So, and his ships already, according to Senator Marshall, already steaming our direction in order to pick them up. That's big. That's great. That's great. Donald Trump is standing astride the world.
Negotiate, he's bringing peace to the Middle East. He bought peace between Cambodia and Thailand. He's tightening the screws on Vladimir Putin while negotiating with his strategic partner, Xi Jinping. He's just leading a masterclass in how to run the world. And the Democrats are sitting here in Washington, literally, they can't even make the government function.
It's quite a spectacle. You know, I through translation, of course, before this whole thing started, they they both talked. They both had a statement. Yeah, the President winged his. And it seems like President Xi was very deliberate when he made his remarks.
And here he is, through an interpreter, talking about the tone of the meeting, Kuten. President Trump? It is a great pleasure. from me as well to meet you.
So what about that tone? I think it's a great tone. what China needs us more than we need China. I mean, if you look at their situation, they're in a lot of trouble. They're facing a huge demographic collapse.
Thanks to the one child policy, where they're going to very soon, within a few years, they're going to be selling more adult diapers than baby diapers in China. If that doesn't say something to you, their economy is in trouble. Their growth is stagnating. They've got a lot, a lot of problems out there.
So they need a stable, steady economic relationship with the United States. And Trump is doing a very good job of holding out what he always does. He does this when he's negotiating with terrorists, when he's negotiating with foreign countries, when he's negotiating with Democrats. See He dares you to follow him up to the top of the escalation ladder, but offers you a path. To negotiated settlement.
And the smart people out there take the path of negotiation. The dumb people don't. Right? And so Xi Jinping has taken the is is joining him on the path of a negoti uh of negotiation. The Iranians stupidly did not do that or else they wouldn't have been bombed.
And Vladimir Putin is now learning that that's a mistake as well. And so is Sakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer. When he goes up the escalation ladder, you're never going to beat him to the top of the escalation ladder and you're take the path of negotiation.
So, how do you feel about the nuclear testing coming back? I think it's great. I think it's great. I mean, look, the reality is that we need to have a strong nuclear deterrent. And he's sending a message that we are going to.
It's also, you know, it's just a nice reminder when you have. People like Vladimir Putin out there sort of rattling the nuclear saber, you know, set up a nuclear weapon or two to test, and that'll remind him that he's not the only one with those leaks. Right. So when we look over at Ukraine, the President said that didn't, he says he's committed to working with us to bring the war to an end. He could do that in a second, as you know, but he's got an alliance with Russia.
Don't pretend that he doesn't. But in terms of what Ukraine and Ukraine and Russia in particular, it looks like Ukraine has knocked out twenty percent of Russia's energy sector energy sector, and they've engineered their own long range rocket. And the storm shadow could be coming from Germany. Yeah. Um so the uh the the yes.
So it should be clear now to Trump, and I think it is, that Putin has no intention of ending this war voluntarily.
So he's going to have to be coerced. And so the question is, how do you tighten the screws on him in a way that brings him to the negotiating table? Because the endgame is what it was from the very beginning, which is to force Putin to stop the war on current lines, right? The Ukrainians have accepted. We will accept current lines and the negotiated settlement.
And it's Putin who's refusing to do that.
So, what Trump is very successfully doing with these sanctions is putting the squeeze on Russia economically. India has agreed to stop selling to buying Russian oil. Apparently, China now, because of these sanctions, is suspending purchases of Russian oil. Those are their two biggest purchasers. And on the other side, the Ukrainians are squeezing them with these drones with these drone strikes that have taken out some of their energy infrastructure.
But you could really damage the energy infrastructure and also their drone factories and other things if we allow them to use some tomahawk missiles. Because what the Tomahawks do, that the drones and the Ukrainian missiles don't do, is they allow you to deliver a heavier payload. In a with greater range.
So you want to see that delivered. You want to see the time delivered. Absolutely. Absolutely. And look, it's not escalation because Putin is using cruise missiles against Ukraine.
So it's a response in kind. He can't claim that that's escalation. If he wasn't using cruise missiles against Ukraine, then he could complain about us giving cruise missiles to the Ukrainians to use. But how can you complain about being hit by cruise missiles if you're firing cruise missiles every day at the Ukrainians? And unlike Russia, the Ukrainians wouldn't be firing them at residential neighborhoods.
Yes, that's what they aim for.
So let's talk about Israel and Gaza. You know, we have Jared and Steve Woodkoff heading back over there. The Secretary of State's been there, the Vice President's been there. They're not taking their hands off the wheel. But yesterday, Israel resumed the ceasefire after sending off rockets to kill dozens of Hamas commanders who were trying, who fired anti-tank missiles and conducted sniper fire home over in Rafah.
And guess where they jumped out of? Tunnels.
So they quickly went back to the ceasefire, but Netanyahu says, we're not going to be Patsy's. No, exactly right. Look, the the ceasefire the ceasefire is still in place. And it can be suspended briefly if it looks, if the Hamas is not gonna be allowed to break the ceasefire unilaterally. And not have the consequences of it.
So, you know, Israel is not going to break the ceasefire for the sake of taking out Hamas' leaders unless they're fired on.
So I mean that's perfectly reasonable. I hear you. And lastly, Jack Chitterelli's now closed this race to two points in New Jersey. Are you a believer that an upset's in in the making? Chris Christie won that state twice.
And it's entirely possible. I never get my hopes up about New Jersey, but I like to be pleasantly surprised.
So, I mean, we'll see. There'll be a town hall tonight, and we'll see what kind of reception he gets. Also, the fact that he's got thirteen Democratic governor mayors, I think, is pretty impressive. Don't you think? Absolutely.
Absolutely. And look, I think the polls are closing in New York, tightening in New York, too. I don't think it's off the table that Mondani could lose.
So he's he's he's the he's the he's the favorite. But it's not done yet. And New York always closes late. And think about it. If you're going to hold your nose and vote for Andrew Cuomo, you're going to make the decision at the last.
Uh I know. Believe me, the day I heard Mark Thiessen hoping Cuomo will win in, I thought I'd have the wrong show on, or someone was imitating your voice. It was AI imitating your voice, but you're hoping Cuomo pulls it off, but he's still 10 points. Right. Here you go.
Finally, just on Virginia, Virginia Democrats are looking to win back the Latino vote. That's going to be their focus, and that's why they're bringing out a senator, Ruben Gallego, over to North Virginia. He thinks he has the secret. I think that Abigail Spamberger, they thought that she was going to be like a vice presidential contender. She has underperformed big time.
Yes, she has, and she's being dragged by her attorney general candidate. By the way, if you're Hispanic and you, you know, Jason Millaris is a great candidate, pull the lever for him and pull the lever for Winston Sears, too. Not the guy who wants to assassinate his political rivals. I understand. Mark Thiessen, thanks so much.
Take care. All right, 1-866-408-7669. When we come back, we open up the phones. Bottom of the hour, Chris McGuire joins us, brings us inside the China deal that is still unfolding. Details just emerging.
Don't move. Both sides, all opinions. It's Brian Killmead. The fastest three hours in radio. You're with Brian Kilmead.
In general. Generation Z is the most left generation by a country mile. It is not close. They are far to the left of the general population on every single issue. And this sort of bizarre idea that Generation Z is going to carry us forward into a conservative future.
I'm not seeing the evidence for that as a general matter. Mamdani being a perfect encapsulation of this. Now, there's Ben Shapiro, no doubt about it. Mondami represents a lot of people. There's a mayor over in Minneapolis running there, and there's a lot of left-wing mayors running who are young, energetic, but their agenda does not gel with our system.
Sandra, and listen on WABC in New Jersey. Sandra, what do you think is happening with this mayor's race? Oh, well let me do it. Tell you something, Brian. Every morning now, I wake up.
Hoping to get some good news that someone is going to consolidate his votes with the person with the higher votes. Last night I came home from the hospital. That's where my husband is, but he'll be better. But I opened my computer. And I see the ad, the size of the screen saying Stop the socialism, to stop Mandani, we must vote for Crono.
It was huge, it was like a big red. Alert. And then I see another one half the size saying a vote for Curtis is a vote for Mandami.
Now look. I love Curtis just like everyone else. I even supported him, but I'm becoming very disappointed because. I just feel that he The only chance we have, and like I said, I wake up every morning hoping to get good news that someone's going to be a big sport. And hopefully, gotcha, Sandra.
But so far, there's not change. We'll see if the turnout turns for Cuomo. But I always try to hold back endorsing Cuomo because I thought he was just. Such a bad governor. But he would be better than Mondami, no doubt about it.
Alton in North Carolina. Hey, Alton. Hey Brian, how's it going? Two quick comments, man. You know.
I just, I just after 9-11, people said they would never forget, you know, what happened. And, you know, here we go again. And, two, you know, I just. I get so tired of seeing the King Jeffries talk with his hands, man. It's so ignorant.
Trump never does nothing. They always have the best ideas. Nothing ever happens though.
Well, I'll put it this way. In terms of what's happening in New York City, Muslim community, no problem. A guy that condemns Israel 24 hours a day and thinks that he had it worse after 9-11 because his aunt that didn't exist was afraid to wear her hijab or hijab in the subway. He that's his takeaway from 9-11. And then he pretends to choke up, but yet the woman doesn't exist.
And the cousin, the woman, the aunt he talked about, there's not one picture with her, with that. And it's not even her as aunt. He just called her his aunt. It's just crazy. Gary in North Carolina, in Daytona, Florida.
Gary. As far as Gavin Newsom, uh going to his grave, uh, thinking Biden's the best president. He needs to hire KJP immediately because that's about The only person he's going to find. that's going to go to their grave thinking that Biden was wonderful. And as far as humors Non-endorsement.
It reminded me 45 years ago of my ex-father-in-law.
Somebody said, How's your ex-father-in-law doing?
Well, I've spoken to him a few times. I wish him well. That was awesome, guys. He didn't have your endorsement either. All right.
Got it, Gary. Thank you so much. We're going to take a timeout. When we come back, Chris McGuire is going to go inside this China deal that is just unfolding now. The president is going to be landing shortly from his trip overseas, which was wildly successful.
You're listening to the Brian Kill Me Show.
So glad you're here. The talk show that's getting you talking. You're with Brian Kilmead. I thought it was an amazing Meeting? He's a great leader.
leader of a very powerful, very strong country, China. And uh Uh we what can I say? We have It was an outstanding Group of decisions, I think, that was made. A lot of decisions were made too. There wasn't too much Too much left out there.
And uh we've come to conclusion on many very important points. And President Xi, before he went in, was very magnanimous. And of course, I'm looking for anything because they've blown up on us in the past. I remember Alaska. President Xi wasn't there, but his higher-ups were there, and they just blasted Anthony Blinken, Biden's people, in the past.
And we've had problems. And we watched the eruption two weeks ago, and out of nowhere, they came out and said we are suspending rare earth sales to America and around the world.
So I didn't know what to expect, but I could not believe that it seemed like President Xi, in an understated way compared to Trump, was saying the same thing. Here's a little of what President Xi said through a translator: cut 12. Mr President, you care a lot about world peace. And you are very enthusiastic about settling various regional hotspot issues. I appreciate your great contribution to the recent conclusion of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
During your visit to Malaysia, you witnessed the signing of the Joint Declaration on Peace along the Cambodia-Thailand border, to which you had provided input. China has been helping in our own way Cambodia and Thailand properly settle their border disputes, and we have also been promoting peace talks to resolve other hotspot issues. And he went on to say, you know, they did say during the meeting they'll help resolve the Ukraine conflict, and of course, they are in total control, almost total control of that. Vladimir Putin would have to listen to him if he said, wind it down, be done. And there's just a lot of progress was made in a more positive way.
And I just hope we got the red flag, which is we have to be in control of our own rare earth and then pharmaceuticals, too. Let's bring in Chris McGuire, former National Security Technology and National Security Deputy Senior Editor, former State Department Senior Advisor for Critical and Emerging Technology. Chris, welcome. I don't want to put words in your mouth or skew your thinking. I don't think it's possible anyway.
But I see a lot of positives come out of this meeting. And what about you? Yeah, thanks a lot. Thanks a lot for having me, Brian. Yeah, I mean, look, I think this is a kind of short-term, in some ways, freeze for freeze.
I think that it's definitely good that the Chinese are rolling or not implementing their rare risk controls, which it really should de-emphasize how enormous of an escalation that was and how out of proportion that action was to anything the United States has done. And by the way, where did it come from?
Well, I mean, that just came out of nowhere. Yeah, I think it came from Chinese leadership, and it was an effort to kind of coerce the United States and show us that they have enormous control over us and deter us from taking any future action against China, which is actually very, very scary and dangerous. And something I think the administration is going to have to work hard in the future to make sure that China knows that they don't have the ability to coerce us. But the fact that they rolled it back. Is positive.
I don't think it addressed the long-term systemic challenges in the relationship, but also I don't think those are things that are fundamentally addressable. I don't think that China is going to be convinced to stop IP theft or change their political system, which I think are many of the barriers that prevent things like Chinese investment in the United States from being something that we can support. Farmers right away are going to feel the benefit. I mean, if they're not going to send ships, then the whole thing is going to fall apart. But evidently, they've already, according to Senator Marshall, they're already sending ships to pick up.
Soybeans And it looks as though they've already committed to a number of a purchase, and that could save our farmers this year right away.
So that is tangible.
So, I think the soybean purchases are good. It's good that we got that back in track. It's good that we kind of rolled back the rarers. The things that the administration gave the Chinese were a 10% reduction in tariffs for fentanyl cooperation, which again is a good thing. It's good to have the Chinese actually working on that.
We'll see if they actually follow through with it. Suspension of reciprocal port fees, and then the walk back of the 50% rule on export controls. I think the big thing that the Chinese got here is the perception that there will be a suspension of future activity from the United States to push back on China. If the deal is just kind of as negotiated here, I think that that can be quite strong because if the United States can continue to take the actions we need to protect ourselves from kind of Chinese coercive action.
So, I think to evaluate this, it really is important to look through what the administration does in the coming kind of days, weeks, and months. There are positives here that are good. It is important to get the rarest controls off the book. And I think the administration has taken a lot of productive action to actually realize this is something that needs to be fixed. And there's actual motivation and energy behind investing in the areas that could fix that-from kind of materials to batteries to magnets.
Like, we really need self-sufficient supply chains here. Action to do that and buying time to do that is good. I think that we just also have to make sure that we don't kind of take our foot off the gas generally in the interim. Right. This is why I don't Changed my trust level, and nor would you ever, or should Trump ever, anybody, any administration, don't be like, hey, I trust the Chinese now.
You can't be that naive. All I look at is from their perspective. What good would it be to alienate Trump knowing he's going to be there over three years, knowing that he's not afraid to take bold, unpredictable action, knowing that he's already assessed that China would be formidable and that we're trying to upgrade our military, trying to be free of rare earth.
So we're not sitting on the sidelines Pretending as if it is 1980 and we can bring them into the world markets.
So it's in their interests not to alienate Trump. If it was 2019 again and they maybe thought that he wasn't going to get elected and he had other issues, and the next thing you know, you're hit by the pandemic, I'd be. In the camp, well, we can't trust them. They're probably not going to follow through. I think it's in their interest to follow through on this stuff.
Am I wrong? 100%. And I think the administration really realized that and they communicated this to the Chinese that the United States has huge levers over China that if China thinks they can escalate and really kind of push us to do their bidding, If the United States were to cut off China from elements, the Chinese Chinese financial sanctions from U.S. dollars or elements of the Chinese technology ecosystem from semiconductors that are made with U.S. chips or U.S.
tooling, that would have enormous impacts on the entire Chinese economy. There are things that we could do that would really, really damage them. And I think that Secretary Besant, Ambassador Greer, and the president himself definitely emphasized that to the Chinese. I think it's something that we just have to continue to emphasize because the Chinese really have to realize it. But it's absolutely true.
It's not in their interest to go down this road because the administration absolutely has bullets that they could fire that would be way more painful on the Chinese side. Chris, at a different time, a different administration, different party, they'd be like: if I can get the Chinese to burn less coal, if I can get them to use more windmills to get them closer to the Paris climate change, that would be a win. Aren't you glad and somewhat relieved that the green fever has broken and we could focus on tangible things that affect the American people? Yeah, I think that the perception that China is going to be with us on any of these areas is really kind of smoke in mirrors, right? Even on green energy, obviously, that's an area where there was a bunch of push.
And at the same time, what were the Chinese doing? They were actually trying to steal the entire kind of. Green technology industry away from us and away from the West, and kind of use that as a force to coerce the world. And they make most of the solar panels in the world, too. Exactly.
Exactly.
Right. And then that now plays into some of our concerns on, for instance, like EV batteries, right? Like they're all made in China. They have dominance over that supply chain.
So I think we have to be really clear-eyed about the challenge here, even in the areas where there are pushes to cooperate. The kind of best path is to have the self-sufficiency, which then I think. You know, gives us a lot more leverage in any conversations. I think being more clear-eyed about that and being more kind of transactional in this is probably the right approach because that's how the Chinese are approaching it.
So it's absolutely the way that we should approach it, too.
So they say the two teams go ahead. They say they reached a basic consensus and we're ready to continue to work. They want to see something signed, right? Whether they call it phase one or not, get something signed. We want a contract to live up to on both sides.
And then we could, you know, instead of saying, well, you said this and you said that, and we thought we had agreement and we didn't, let's just get this thing done. And I wonder how close that is. I hope we're not going to have to wait until April until they meet again. Yeah, we'll see. I think we will be able to see pretty quickly in seeing Chinese soybean purchases, also seeing like Chinese actually delivery of rare earths.
Like, I think there's been Chinese magnets that were delivered, but there's actually a lot of speculation that the actual underlying materials they haven't followed through on.
So, if we actually start to see supply chains actually open up and not just empty promises, I think that would be good. And we'll see that in the data relatively soon. But that would be positive. The one thing I just also want to mention that the administration really held the line on that was really important was there was a lot of speculation on advanced chips that there was a potential trade for the most advanced AI chips in exchange for some of these things like soybean purchases. And I think the administration correctly realized that that was not in our interest.
That, first of all, they had the leverage to get the Chinese to resume soybean purchases and do fentanyl cooperation and other things without giving up our most advanced technologies. And second of all, that there's a really big risk in sharing those technologies and that there's no way for the Chinese to indigenize.
So the administration absolutely gets. A lot of credit for not giving that up in this. And I think Trump was clear that actually, like, blackwell chips didn't come up, which is good. I think that's not something that we should be sharing or cooperating with the Chinese, especially given the military applications.
So, Chris, let's talk about your column we wrote in the free press, and you talked about the car industry. What risks do we have with our car industry? Number one, and by all reports, whether they pirated it or not, they put together a heck of an electric car. And whether their labor costs are low, it's extremely affordable. And both Europe and America is really worried about them flooding us.
And Ford said, basically, we could be out of the car business from what they saw when they visited the manufacturing. I'm talking about, I think Farley said that. last couple of weeks ago.
So what's your biggest worry? Yeah, I think that there's a huge worry that if we actually let Chinese, basically let the Chinese auto industry into the United States, it's just not going to be compatible with the United States because of the Chinese economic model that ultimately they would subsidize their vehicles to the point where they would drive us out of business. And whether that's because we allow imports from China, which fortunately we don't due to both some of the regulatory blocks, but also the very high tariffs, also imports from other countries or investment here. And I think there's some concern that there is what the Chinese are pushing, what they were pushing on the administration as part of this deal, and I think which the administration wisely rejected was a deal of we'll promise you huge investment in America, right? And you can all the words that sound great, shovel-ready jobs, very large numbers of dollars, and build plants.
But those plants are ultimately kind of ways to push out critical U.S. industry. If we do get big BYD factories in the U.S., eventually the Those will destroy the foreign GM factories that we have here. True. Here is Howard Luttnick that you refer to in your column.
This is what he said when asked about it. Let's say China comes in and they say, Okay, we're going to build stuff in the United States. We want to build Automobile companies, our automobiles in the United States.
Well that will kill our car industry. They're all over Bahamas and Mexico.
So would you allow that? No, that's what I call an Amy Winehouse, which is no, no, no.
So we don't have, we're not going to have Chinese companies beating up our companies. That's just not going to happen. You need to build in America. You need to build cars in America. They're all coming back.
You show those manufacturing jobs. They're all coming back. We spoke to the big three. You see semiconductors coming back. You know, this is all pharmaceuticals are going to come back.
Manufacturing is going to come back to America. But you are completely correct. We've got to watch ourselves with the Chinese because the Chinese are dumpers. What they do is they try to make their industries crush ours so they can have control of us. And that's what they've done under the Biden administration, under the Obama administration, all the way back to the Clinton administration.
It's got to end. And fortunately, Donald Trump has our back and he's going to protect America and bring those manufacturing jobs back to America. Chris, I see you nodding. You think we get it, right? You think these guys get it?
Yeah. I do. I do. And I was told from folks that the Chinese had been pushing these investment deals in the U.S. for some time and saying, hey, actually, they want rollback from, we have the CIFIAS, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States that reviews these for national security, and they basically want to work around that and just get these big deals.
And the administration said no. I think Secretary Letnick was very, very clear in that. Secretary Besant also is very clear. This is not, who oversees the CIFIAS body as well as Cassius Treasury Secretary, was very clear this is not in our interest. And I think the president gets very much that this is not in our interest.
So it's good that this is not part of the deal. It's focused more on other areas. Chris, you know what I'm struck by in researching the president's trip ahead of time, especially? No one lets go of the past. I mean, there's a theory out there, and it's a solid one, that China's trying to poison us with fentanyl the way the British poisoned them with opium, the opium wars.
And then you have South Korea still not going to forget what Japan did them in World War II, and Japan and China will have friction because of what Japan did to China in World War II. This type of rivalry and retribution is still very much a part of the dialogue today. Yeah, no, I think that's right. I think that we have to be very wary of the Chinese role, whether it's willful or whether it's due to kind of blissful ignorance. A lot of the fentanyl in the United States comes from China, whether it's directly or indirectly.
And I think what we've seen in the past is there's been efforts to work on this, but they've never, they haven't, whether they haven't been implemented seriously enough on the U.S. side or the Chinese have just been unwilling to actually do what they need to do. We'll see what happens this time. I think we should be very suspicious, not only of any kind of direct shipments into the U.S., but we also have to think, just like we do with terrorists, we also have to think about, you know, what if the Chinese are circumventing our fentanyl cooperation by basically just having unrestricted exports to Mexico, and then all of it is going from Mexico to the United States, like that is a circumvention of what we're doing.
So I think that it's a good positive sign that they're willing to come to the table with this and work with this on this, but like we should not be, we should not underestimate the degree to which they all, this, all The Chinese ultimately don't care about this. They don't care about actually controlling fentanyl production, I think, in a real comprehensive way. And in some ways, this is something that distracts us and hurts us. And that's ultimately good for the Chinese Communist Party. But we're showing how serious we are by what we're doing to Venezuela and those ships.
And I think they understand, wow, they're dead serious about this. We can tell them exactly what port they're in, exactly what ship they're on, and exactly where they go in Mexico. And if we whipped out the maps, and I think we probably did and showed them, we need to stop it. And I think that, you know, we need to just expose it. Chris, always great to talk to you.
Thanks so much. Hope to have you back again soon. Thanks a lot, Brian. Appreciate it having me. Back in a moment.
Don't go anywhere. Brian Kilmead will be right back. He's so busy, he'll make your head spin. It's Brian Killmead. Sponsored by Previgen.
Previgen made for your brain. It's the most striking element of this presidency, at least nine months in Joe, which is that he's much more of a foreign policy-focused president. He's playing for a legacy. He's not subtle about it. He wants the Nobel Peace Prize.
They don't deny that. In fact, they say it openly every day. I think that works so far as the economy is doing okay. I'll tell you what, though, this issue with Argentine beef is starting to seep into the groundwater, especially in sort of rural states. I think a lot of people are kind of wondering if you don't follow politics that closely.
Your view of Donald Trump is that every day he's either on a foreign trip or meeting with a foreign leader in the Oval Office. It's one of those two things. And if you don't follow the stuff that closely, you're kind of wondering, well, why is he always talking about Argentina or Japan or the Middle East? Like, how about my crops? How about my job?
How about my prices, affordable price at the gas power? And look, I think as long as the economy is sort of hanging in there and he's our stock market hit an all-time high today, which is his metric for how the economy is doing, I think it's okay. But boy, I'll tell you what, if you go into the midterms and you're all foreign policy, all The time because you're playing for your own second-term legacy, the voters at some point are going to have something to say.
So, Jonathan Martin, I usually like listening to him. I think he's a really good panelist because it's not predictable. I can't believe how off he is in this assessment. I mean, he's going around. To these foreign countries, but he's not talking about anything but our economy everywhere.
And it's not a reach, it's not analysis. All he does is talk about the economy here at home, bringing back trade deals and prices here at home and how it all relates. Why it wasn't his idea to have a G7, it wasn't his idea to have AIPAC, wasn't his idea to have peace in the Middle East.
