And while various denominations interpret these passages differently, Most frameworks point toward a combination of global chaos, spiritual shifts, and specific events in the Middle East. For instance, global and environmental distress, spiritual and moral decline, geopolitical and Middle East milestones, specifically looking at the Antichrist, global governance, the Third Temple, a false peace treaty, and then the positive aspects: we look at global evangelism and the outpouring of the Spirit, a final widespread revival and spiritual awakening before the climax of history. On today's program, our broadcast partners, Ken Timmerman, David Dolan, and Colonel Bob McGinnis, R. C. Murrow, and Dr.
Jimmy DeYoung with the Legacy Series. We've got a full program today, Rick. We've got to get started.
So let's get started with our first, Ken Timmerman.

Well Ken, let's start in the Middle East, where Trump has threatened a quote-unquote economic D-Day for Iran. Can you tell us what this is about? The Iranians are very worried, I can tell you that much. They have heard what the President said, they have seen the bite of these sanctions that he's talking about. He said on Wednesday when he announced that economic D-Day, he said, No one has given the Islamic Republic of Iran a greater opportunity to make a deal than me.
And tragically, for them, they failed to take it. And it's so right. You know, this President has gone back again and again and again when any normal person would have said, Gosh, these people have lied to me so many times. I'm not going back to talk to the Iranians again, but the President has, because he understands the impact of war and he does not want to cause suffering to the Iranian people. He does not want to wear out our troops.
He certainly doesn't want to get engaged in an endless war. He's promised the American people he will not do that.
So he is very open to finding other alternatives, but the Iranians won't play ball. They just keep on doing bad things. And attacking tankers and attacking their Arab neighbors on the other side of the Gulf, hitting their oil refineries and other oil assets. Look, on Thursday, the Treasury Department took the wraps off of what this economic D-Day could mean. They cracked down on a cash courier network that nobody had ever heard about, based in Turkey, that was funneling hundreds of millions of dollars of dollar cash, U.S.
dollar cash, from Iran, from Turkey to Hezbollah in Lebanon. They named all the people. They put sanctions on them. I can guarantee you, those Turkish individuals are not going to be getting on any international flights for a long time with names out in all the papers. On Friday, Kalabaf, the negotiator, told an audience that the Iranian embassy in Baghdad.
that the regime would go down. If it couldn't guarantee economic security, he said military power was not enough. Here's a quote: If we establish security but do not sustain it through the economy, it will not last, he said. They are worried, I tell you. They're also worried because of the exposure earlier in the week of a secret back channel between Ahmed Wahidi, the head of the Revolutionary Guards, and Tulsi Gabard when she was still the director of national intelligence.
This happened back in May, Rick. She wanted to know while the negotiations that ultimately led to the agreement in mid-June, she wanted to know if the IRGC was actually going to support the negotiators or were they going to try to sabotage it. And so she called Nichivan Barzani, who is the president of the Kurdish region in northern Iraq. He called Wahidi. Wahidi sent an aide to his office with an encrypted phone.
And so he talked with Wahidi. He put the question to him. And Fahidi said, no, no, no, we're behind the negotiations. Absolutely. You can tell the Americans that.
Well, this all came out this week, terribly embarrassing for the IRGC, for their prestige inside Iran, because all of this time they've been telling. Everybody that they are not going to go along with these negotiations. They're not going to talk to the Americans. We're going to blow them up. We're going to do so much damage to the American economy that they will never rise up again.
I mean, this is the kind of bombast we're hearing from the IRGC. Rick, here it is: turmoil in Tehran. That's what we're seeing.
Well, it certainly is, and we'll have to wait to see what that pressure will bear. But let's move over to Syria, where the discovery of several tons of nuclear material from the Assad era is pretty remarkable. How significant is this?
Well, it was pretty remarkable. Also, it was quite something to see Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Damascus, holding a public press conference with a smile on his face with a Syrian foreign minister. I mean, it's not often, Rick, that a former rogue state cooperates with the IAEA to come clean about its nuclear past. And that seems to be what's happening with Syria.
Now, we all know that there was a secret nuclear reactor built by North Korea in the early 2000s. And we know this because the Israelis bombed it in 2007. What we didn't know, and we just learned this week, was that there's another secret site that Grossi visited holding several tons of nuclear reactors. Nuclear material. Grossi said that nuclear material could be put to bad use.
He wants it under IAEA controls. Initially, the Syrians had said, get it out of the country. We'll let you take it out of the country.
Now they're saying, no, we want to keep it in the country, but we will subject it to IAEA controls. That is a pretty significant pledge. It's important, but it also begs the question: what are the Syrians going to do with several tons of nuclear material? That is uh definitely a serious question. But like you said, there is a little bit of cooperation there, which is a good sign.
But there was another incident that took place in Syria this week, and it was concerning an expanding Turkish presence there. Can you talk about that? There was a huge flare-up on Tuesday in northeastern Syria. Rick, the Israelis struck the Abu al-Dahur airbase near Aleppo, reportedly seven or eight times, in fact, separate strikes. And they did this because there was reliable intelligence that the Turks were on their way to that airbase to establish a military presence near Aleppo.
And the Israelis said this crossed a red line. They had been in talks with Turkey and the United States and Syria and had reached an agreement in January that Turkey would not expand its military presence in Syria. Israel said we won't expand our presence either. We occupy about 78 square miles, I think it is, along the border, and the Turks are occupying 5% of Syrian territory up in the Kurdish areas in the north. I call it creeping annexation.
But they had frozen the existing situation, or so they thought. And then the Turks Started to put out signs that they were actually coming in and going to build that base. And the Israelis said, No, no, we can't let you do that. And so they bombed the base, so there's nothing really for the Turks to come to. It's now just a bunch of rubble.
The Israeli ambassador of the United States, Leitner, he said, It's clear to us that the Syrians do not want a confrontation with us. That's why we are telling the Turks not to create conflicts. There is more than one indication that the move planned by Turkey was imposed on the Syrians. That gets kind of interesting, Rick. This is one of those fire ups that can dramatically escalate if not handled correctly.
Israel, Syria and the U.S. are all trying to put out the fire, but Turkey That's the big unknown right now. And you have a president in Turkey, Erwan, and his foreign minister, Hawkin Feedan, who have called Israel a blot on civilization, a blot on humanity. In other words, they're one step away from generic statements and generocidal intentions.
So the big unknown is really Turkey's intentions. What do they want? We've talked about that often on this program. We'll continue to talk about it as well because many people believe, and I think you believe this as well, that Turkey is probably a greater threat to Israel right now than Iran is.
Well, I wouldn't go that far because the Iranians with a nuclear capability can actually carry out those genocidal intentions. The Turks do not have a nuclear capability that we know of, any nuclear program that we know of, but they do have a formidable military. It has not been battle-tested against a superior force such as the Israelis, the IDF, but they've spent many, many years whacking Kurds in northeastern Syria and in the southwestern part of their own country. I don't think that Turkey is a bigger threat than Iran, but Turkey is certainly a formidable threat, and they need to be kept under wraps. Final topic for you today, Ken.
I want to talk about China. President Trump's visit is coming very quickly, and he's going to look for help dealing with the situation in Iran, but he might not get it.
Well, he's not going to get open support from China for this economic D-Day against Iran, but the Chinese are not going to stand in his way either. They don't need to cooperate with the United States. They just need to get out of the way so they don't get hurt. And I think that's what Trump's message is going to be. And it's going to be a private message.
I don't think he's going to talk about this a lot in public because he doesn't need to embarrass President Xi. I think they will talk about this quietly. Look, the UAE has already announced a trade embargo on Iran. This is going to hit China also because the Chinese are selling an awful lot of their products through the UAE into Iran, and that's going to come to a stop. You also have China's tinpot refineries that are getting no Iranian oil at all.
Trump doesn't need to wield the big stick with China. He's already stuck them with a thousand toothpicks. Ken Timmerman for Prophecy Today. Ken, as always, we appreciate your insight into what's going on around the world. Thanks so much.

More than 50 Christian and Muslim leaders have signed a peace accord in Nigeria. Unknown Nations Greg Kelly says the pact sends a message. People having to live in this kind of terror is not acceptable.
And we as faith leaders are coming together and agreeing that we stand united against it. The Islamic group Boko Haram began its reign of terror in 2009. Attacks have only increased in both scope and source since then. Christian and Muslim leaders say the peace accord symbolizes a new chapter. Pray that leaders representing the Hausa, the Fulwani, and the Kanuri would come to the knowledge of Jesus.
Because when that happens, we could see revival throughout northern Nigeria, which is dominated by Islam. And the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon persists, with the UN estimating over 300,000 people are still displaced. The country continues to lean on aid groups as hostilities increase yet again. Camille Melke with Heart for Lebanon says the organization remains very involved with those in need. In any opportunity that we have when peace prevails, when these pilot zones succeed, We can operate freely.
We can provide resources. and better shapes and better forms for the people who need it. And also, we can start building hope beyond the immediate humanitarian aid. The constant needs can be overwhelming, but the work is crucial. Melke asks that people pray that Heart for Lebanon would have wisdom.

Welcome back to Prophecy Today Radio, the program that looks at current events in the light of Bible prophecy.
Well, this is the portion of our program. It's our Middle East news update. We look at news coming out of the Middle East in general, but we focus on an Israeli perspective of that news. To do that, we have with us journalist Dave Dolan. Dave, thanks for being with us today.
Glad to be with you, Rick.
Well, David, we'll start with the news coming out of Israel activity in Gaza this week.
Well, there was. There were more clashes. Two attempts by Hamas members to infiltrate into the Israeli Areas and they said to attack Israeli forces there.
So the IDF struck back in both cases, even though they've been very low key in their restraint, many say in recent weeks because, of course, the fifteen point Gaza peace plan and President Trump counting and A Prime Minister Netanyahu opposing a part of it. And then we had an IDF report to Rick during the week, a sad one, that the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, up in Gaza City, The basement is being used as a torture chamber, it said, by Hamas. They're taking in any Palestinian they feel opposed them or is openly opposing them and torturing them and killing them. Terrible story there. Of course, we had Jared Kirshner, the president's son-in-law, over in the region during the week.
He met with the overall new Hamas leader, Al Haya, in Cairo And Rick, as far as I know, that's the first time a senior American.
Well, he's really not an official, but he's the. President's son-in-law has met the Overall, head of Hamas directly in person.
So that received some criticism by some in Israel that said you're just further legitimizing this terrorist group. And then he met in Jerusalem with the Prime Minister Kirschner did for four hours actually.
So they had a very detailed discussion, mostly about Gaza, but of course also about Lebanon and, of course, about Iran and that whole situation. And at the end of that, Kirschner said, quote, that the IDF is free to act. When they think it's necessary in Gaza. In other words, we haven't ordered no action there. We just want restraint during this period of.
Negotiations. And we had later in the week some Israeli leaders expressed quietly, but Their pleasure with a statement from the Treasury Secretary, Scott Besson, that regime change is probably the goal in Iran. He said, We're. putting on these new economic sanctions to crush the regime, and he called it a murderous regime, et cetera, indicating maybe that the President has decided to go all the way in that direction, which is the direction the Israelis feel has to go if we get rid of Hamas. And of course, we also had some action in Lebanon during the week, so Hezbollah as well.
and that, that will hopefully come sooner or later, hopefully through economics. But if not, many expect that after the U. S. midterm elections, there will be a return to militarily finish that job.
Well, David, that's a quick update on the news coming out of the Middle East. But I want to get your thoughts on a story that I already touched on with Ken Timmerman, and that is this Israeli strike in Syria to keep Turkey out of an Air Force base. Can you tell us what you know about this?
Well, Rick, really I would say it's the first time ever in modern history that we've had Turkish military forces and Israeli military forces nearly come to blows directly.
So that, of course, is a major development. What happened is Turkish forces were spotted moving into northwest Syria in significant numbers. And Mike Ackabee, the U.S. Ambassador, said on Friday that they had made their way quite a ways.
South to right near this Air Force base, and that's in the Idlib province where President Ashara comes from and where his Sunni Muslim bases. And uh they were going to take over this airbase.
So the IDF, according to reports we got, senior Israeli leaders went into emergency session. They shared this information immediately with the U. S. And they had satellite photos and other things showing it. And then they decided to hit the airbase, so they bombed that.
Instead of directly going after the uh Turkish troops that were taking over the northwest part of Syria. Of course, that would have been an attack on a NATO country by Israel. That would have been wonderful.
So, you know, there was restraint there. But, Rick, what they're saying is it's a real show that Erdogan, the Turkish dictator, really does intend to reestablish the Ottoman Empire, at least make efforts towards that. Taking Syria would be definitely the most important first step in that plan, then probably Lebanon, then maybe Iraq. But Israel is ultimately a target. And of course, Turkey has been cozying up to Egypt.
In recent months, they held joint military exercises recently, as I reported a couple of weeks ago. And it's a very grim situation for Israel, Rick, because of course they have nearly half a million soldiers in the Turkish Army. It's a member of NATO. It's got All the US equipment that Israel has, not quite, but it has a lot of it, and good air defenses, et cetera.
So the Israelis certainly don't want to take on Turkey while the war with Iran is still unsettled. And by the way, Rick, we had an opinion poll released on Friday showing that the ex-Chief of Staff, Gotti Eisencott, is rising in power in the polls. that B. V. Netanyahu is sinking.
Isenkopf now fourteen points ahead of him in public opinion surveys. Who do you want the next Prime Minister to be?
So These may be some of the last crises that Netanyahu has to deal with anyway in the next couple of months, elections, the end of October.
Well, we will be following those elections and it could be a changing of the guard, at least that's what it seems right now. But David, I want to go back to that situation in Turkey. And we have talked about it on this program, that the Turkey is and Erdogan is a very much a supporter of Hamas. And they have been very antagonistic towards Israel. And the things that they've said And the proximity of Turkey compared to Iran is much closer, especially, like you say, if they were to take over Syria.
So, this is something that. Is very concerning to Israel, a threat that they are going to have to face in the near future.
Well, it is Rick. And even more disconcerting is the fact that, hey, when I moved out of Israel in twenty thirteen, Turkey was still the most popular tourist destination for Israelis. There were a lot of cheap flights, especially the southern area along the Mediterranean, very popular. There were resorts that were owned by Israelis. And then Erdogan, he'd already taken over, but he was becoming every year progressively more.
outlandish, frankly, in his statements against Israel, in his anti Jewish statements in general. in his bashing of anybody that supported Israel. Then, of course, he tried to block break the blockade of the Gaza Strip in twenty twelve, I think it was, and it just got worse and worse and worse to the point where all Israeli terrorism to Turkey basically dried up. But that you can deal with. But now to have apparently this a quiet alliance between Erdogan and Ashara, And of course, he's an ex-ISIS guy, so he's not exactly known for his pro-Israel love in his life.
this is a very dangerous situation. And of course, Syria, as you said, Turkey's not that far away, about two hundred miles, two hundred fifty miles north, maybe three, but Syria is right along Israel's border, of course, in the northwest, northeast.
So a very uh very uh dramatic situation. One to watch. And of course, you know and I know probably prophetically setting the stage because many indications Turkey will be very much involved in the Gog and Magog war prophesied for the end of days. And Syria, Damascus, it says Isaiah seventeen will one day be bombed by Israel in the latter days and there's going to be trouble there and et cetera.
So all this to say the war is not over, but the need for prayer is not over either and God's still on the throne.
Well, that would be my final thought. The need for prayer is definitely still there, but we look at Iran, we look at Turkey, we look at in other parts of this program, we're talking about Russia and China, all these nations that are involved in the end times cannot be far away as we look at what. God has said is going to take place in the end times, the piece is falling into place right now, aren't they? They really seem to be, Rick. And I've been following this as a Christian for nearly fifty years.
And prophecy has always been something I'm interested in. And I've never seen it like this, where so many pieces seem to be lining up. More indications we're very close to the final days, but that also means close to the Lord's return and catching us up to be with Him. Amen to that. Dave Dolan for Prophecy Today.

I'm Jimmy the Young Jr., and along with my brother Rick, we're examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. Colonel Bob McGinnis is coming up next, and R. C. Murle. But first, Rick, let's talk to Colonel McGinnis about what he views as important issues in our world today.
Well, that's right, Jimmy. I have retired Lieutenant Colonel Bob McGinnis with us. He's a frequent contributor to this program. We love having him on, not only because he's got that experience in the Army and the Pentagon and knows what's going on around the world in that sense, but he's also a student of Bible prophecy. He's written several books.
Colonel McGinnis, thanks so much for being on the program. Oh, Brick, it's my pleasure. Let's start with Iran and the situation in the Middle East that continues to, I guess you could call it muddle along. It doesn't seem to be going away now from previous conversations I've had on the program with you. I feel like you broadly support what President Trump is doing, but maybe have a little bit of concerns about how things are being conducted.
Is that true, and if so, why? Yeah, I've been skeptical about some of what we've been told at the national level for well over a year. The first attack in June of 2025, ostensibly because they were close to a nuclear weapon. They used the same rationale in early February of this year that they were close to a nuclear weapon. You can only tell the people the same story.
you know, so many times and and have them come away with the same outcome. This particular operation has lasted almost six months now. At the end of the month, we'll be there. Uh it's an endurance contest. Obviously, President Trump is uh shifting uh to large scale economic pressure.
The barrier, the blockade that we put in place to keep various materials in and out of Iran is having some effect. The strategy, of course, is to get them to keel to the pressure and to come to the negotiating table. But right now, uh diplomacy is effectively stalled according to Yeah. President Trump, no negotiations are underway. The Strait of Hermuz, of course, is a strategic center of gravity.
And it seems as if every day a number of ships get through, you know, sometimes a few, sometimes twenty and so forth. But very little is getting through other than humanitarian aid to the Iranian population, which is rather large at ninety two million, and yet they are held in stranglehold by the IRGC, which are the radical Islamists in downtown Tehran.
So we've had on and off kinetic operations, economic sanctions and the like. What's interesting is China, of course, is playing an unhelpful role in the background. Not only does it consume eighty percent of Iran's shipped oil, but various reports indicate that it's sneaking in materials that are helping sustain IRGC in control. And of course, the human cost is pretty high, especially amongst the Iranians at the hands of IRGC. Anyone that goes against the regime gets whacked uh or you know at least incarcerated.
And of course we've taken a toll too. We've had uh in the neighborhood of seven hundred and fifty of our troops have been wounded in operations, mostly from drone missiles and and the like. Uh but Yeah, it it's an on again, off again war, and I don't see a near term solution at this point.
Well, I want to talk to you in a little bit in the future here about that relationship with China and also with Russia. But before I leave this situation, the express goals of limiting their ability to export terror, of stopping their nuclear program, and then maybe the Kind of the behind-the-scenes goal of regime change. Do you see progress being made? Do you see that even being a possibility?
Well, the nuke program, we can cut it off. We can't easily destroy it unless we go on the ground, and I've written for Fox News on that issue. But we can certainly close the entrances to the mountains, Pickack Mountains and Fort Al and others, and then monitor that using satellite imagery. And if they get close to digging it up, then we just bomb it again. Uh as far as the missiles, they have during the the ceasefire, uh which has broken down now, uh we saw that they were making new drones and rockets and the like, and they used some here recently against UAE and other places.
Regime change is much more difficult. at the beginning of the war, arguably two hundred thousand people that were m you know, card carrying members of uh IRGC, uh radical Islamists that uh you know believe in the ideology and uh they're willing to give their own lives for the cause. And so, you know, we peeled back a couple of layers of that, but and the people underneath are just as bad as the people that uh were wiped out.
So Yeah, I I don't see that in your term. I think that uh decades ago when this started in seventy nine, we should have seeded uh them using clandestine operations and much like we Outfitted the Mujaddin against the Russians during the eighties. We should have been doing the same thing with the Iranian, um equivalent to a mujahedin, but it doesn't appear as if we did because the people that are protesting in the streets of Tehran are unarmed, and they're getting butchered by the IRGC.
So it's not a good scene. I think that things perhaps will begin to change, but it's going to be sometime. Let's move from the Middle East and go to an Iranian ally and the other major conflict taking place in the world right now, and that is the Russia-Ukraine crisis. Vladimir Putin. seems to have taken his licks, so to speak.
In some instances, some people feel like he's backed in a corner. How do you see that crisis unfolding right now? What do you see coming up in the future?
Well, Po Putin's not giving it y up easily and in spite of our continued Uh resupply through NATO of weapons to Kyiv and Zelensky. Putin, his endgame is pretty straightforward. He's going to hold on to the territory that he's already taken. He's going to prevent Ukraine from becoming a fully integrated Western military outpost, much less a member of NATO. He's going to demonstrate that Russia cannot be strategically defeated, as is his intention.
And he's going to re reestablish as best as he can Ru the Russian sphere of influence, which of course is not just with Ukraine, but with the former Warsaw Pact, all the way from the Nordic countries all the way down to the Balkans. And he's made some progress, but there's a lot of progress that he's yet to make, not clear whether or not he'll be able to accomplish that. But this war, which is, what, four and a half years old, doesn't seem to be winding down any time soon. And his grandiose ambitions for the renewal of the Soviet Union or the Russian Empire of over a century ago, I don't think have dissipated significantly. He has a a large population.
As long as he gets the revenues from oil, which he continues to get, every time it pops up because of tensions elsewhere, like in Iran, then you end up with a resilient Putin. He's not dying, he's not assassinated, and he's willing to sacrifice whatever is necessary to ambitiously acquire what he has long wanted, and that is the renewal of the old Soviet Union.
Well, look at these two countries that we've just talked about: Iran and the situation there, and Russia and Vladimir Putin.
Now. From a political perspective, they are damaged, they are wounded. But you know, a wounded animal is a dangerous animal. Of course, Russia is a nuclear power, and of course, it seems like Iran is willing to do anything to hold on to power. Could you talk about maybe any current dangers that we face, and maybe then just talk about those two prophetically, because we know that from those regions, anyways, we're going to see action in the future?
Yeah. Well, of course I w write about this in preparing for World War three because all these are interconnected one way or another. They're allies of one another. Certainly Russia and Iran have traded the means of fighting. The Iranians are ideologues.
Al Jazeera is famously characterizes the people in downtown Tehran as willing to burn down the entire country before they'll surrender to Israel or the United States. And I believe that. They've been resilient for 47 years. They're likely to continue in spite of us basically cutting off them at the knees. Putins of the world in Moscow.
Um they have a large population. Um they'll use their draft essentially to fill the ranks and to send them into the meat grinder in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainians to their credit have been very resilient. even though they're a much smaller population and fewer resources, they've been doing quite well, thank you. And so they these are mutual allies on the other side from where we sit.
They they tend to be survivalists, and they don't play by the same rules that we would in the West. And nor do they play by the the political rules of going from one election to the next. And that's where they have us at a disadvantage because President Trump is in a tight place because he wants to retain power in the Congress. And Iran threatens that and much less so does Putin in an interesting way. Let's bring the third ally in there.
You have Russia, you have Iran, you have China. President Trump going to China for another major meeting with President Xi there. What do you expect to come from that?
Well, Chi, of course, has his fingers in what's going on in Ukraine and in Iran, and it's playing to his best interest, as we've seen. Yeah, Chi is coming to Washington. Last time in May, Trump was over in Beijing, got a wonderful reception. Uh stops were pulled out to celebrate uh his presence. Uh that doesn't necessarily mean they like us, they hate us, they envy us, but uh it's what it is.
Now what's on the table this time between Chi and Trump? Uh arguably you know trade. Uh you know that they haven't been terribly compliant with some of the things that we negotiated in May about. Certainly rare earths, rare earth minerals, agricultural purchases and the like. A big issue that I will assure is discussed in May, but also this time will be artificial intelligence.
And in fact, we have a on gan on again, off again war with China, as I point out in my book, The New AI Cold War, over chips, compute export controls, technological leadership and then trying to coerce the balance of the world to one side or the other. And I deal with that in that book. Certainly Taiwan is a big point of contention, whether or not we will provide Taiwan with the ongoing weapons that they may need to defend themselves. And there's no question that Qi wants Taiwan under its control, but the Taiwanese are a bit resilient themselves. They don't like that.
And the fact that we pulled out the USS George Washington to send it over to relieve the Abraham Lincoln in the Middle East, really sends a troubling strategic message, I think, that we're not as serious about the Western Pacific as we ought to be, in my opinion, and certainly not consistent with the national security strategy the Trump administration published earlier this year. And of course, we can talk about Iran, which we just did. North Korea, it looks like Trump's going to try to meet with Kim Jong un sometime this fall. And of course, the Kinjong un has a strategic relationship with next door China. Having lived there at one point in my distant past, it's a troubled region that hasn't changed much since 1950 when Harry Truman sent our troops over there to push back against North Korea and the Chinese invasion of the south.
So there are a lot of issues Trump and Chi will talk about. Will they come to any resolutions?
Well, probably they'll talk about trade a bit and come to some understanding on some of the issues such as AI, but not much. One more topic I want to get from you, and you talked about it earlier, artificial intelligence. I know you strongly believe that this is going to be a huge issue going forward. Could you talk about that? I am working on a new effort, and it's important that people understand what humanity is all about in this high-tech world, because it's really taking a beating, and I don't think a lot of people appreciate that.
I'm an advisor for the Alliance for Security of AI Security Across the World. I'm working with some internationals on trying to get governments to recognize what this stuff is and how it is going to transform society in the future, and especially it's going to radically alter the way in which we understand the world. right up against scripture. I write almost every day for the Washington Stand, which is a publication of the Family Research Council, which I'm a senior fellow for. And I take common sense issues and I apply them in a scriptural way.
And I explain what AI is actually doing in those areas. I've written more than fifty articles for there, and I've it's a free you know, av available on the Internet, just put in my name, Washington Stand. And and you'll see these articles that that go into you know, for instance, I was talking about AI and crime and how crime has just gone up fivefold on the internet thanks to AI. Uh I talked about what AI is doing to the home and what it's going to do to the home on decision making. How it's affecting education and our kids, informing us into something that we didn't think we would become, how it's undermining the church, and how I think it could be the scaffolding for the fulfillment of Revelation 13 and 14.
So there's so much here. It's not necessarily a simple issue. There's a lot here to include, you know, Barner Research Survey, practicing Christians in Brahmin in the United States, found that almost half of us routinely use AI, but less than 12% of our pastors have any real understanding of this stuff, and yet our congregants want more guidance from their pastoral leaders.
So this is, I would argue, a crisis. And so that's why I wrote three books that are already out there. There, working on a fourth one. And I think it's important for believers to understand what this is all about. And certainly, those three books that are out there give you a great insight because of.
what I've had access to. Final question for you, Colonel McGinnis. When you talk about these conflicts around the world, Russia, Iran, what's going on in China, and they are kind of foreshadowing what the Bible says is going to happen in the future. We don't necessarily know God's timetable, and we're not called to predict dates, but When you look at the world we are living in today, do you believe that Christians have more reason than ever to be watching, praying and preparing for the Lord's return? Yeah, well, there's no doubt.
I see the events sparking the the atmosphere with every indication of a coming end times. And that's why I've I've rushed very hard to outline what this new scaffolding of the end times is going to be, artificial intelligence, so that Christians appreciate scripturally but also geopolitically how all this fits into w what we're anticipating will happen.
So yes, these are tenuous times and it could be I don't know for certain, but it could be the end times. Colonel Bob McGinnis for Prophecy Today. Colonel McGinnis, always great to have you on the program. Look forward to talking to you again soon. Well, thank you, Rick.
Colonel Bob McGinnis is someone that we love having on the program because of the background. And all of our broadcast partners have backgrounds that add to the information that we use. Of course, the Bible is the vanguard. That's our standard. But then, when we go and talk to people that use the same and have the same understanding of Bible prophecy, it really helps us.
And so, at the Outlook at the program, I did talk about looking at the signs or the birth pains. And of course, signs were given to the Jewish people in Matthew chapter 24, Luke chapter 21, Mark 13. But, you know, we use that to help guide us. And one of the things that we have noticed recently, and I was reading a story about future economic situations potentially in the United States and in the world.
So I thought I needed to get my good friend R. C. Murley on the program. R.C., welcome back to the program. Gee, thanks, Jimmy.
It's really good to be with you. RC, the 30-year U.S. Treasury market and debt have been in the headlines this past week. What do you know about that? Oh, Jimmy, this week reminds me of a 1960s satirical BBC news show called That Was the Week That Was.
Jimmy, to say the least, this past week has been turbulent with announcements of record amounts of both global debt and U.S. debt. That was followed by a plunging bond market, followed by a statement by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant that the Treasury would buy long-term 30-year government bonds, which rallied the markets the exact other way on Wednesday, but then they dropped again on Thursday and were flat to down a little bit on Friday.
So it kind of calmed down a little bit, but it was an amazing turn of events every day this week.
Now, RC, this is why I have you on because that sounds hard to keep up with. It was. It was. I Was Jimmy? I by Thursday and Friday, I was unable to write.
I was sitting there just trying to figure out how to sort this out and which comes first. And it almost looked like they were starting quantitative easing again, but it really wasn't. This is Treasury, which is a totally different ballgame.
So I had to sort through all this and wasn't finally started to write something on Thursday night and Friday so I could join you on the broadcast. Yeah, so what did you come away with? You know, one of the things that impressed me through all this, with all that turbulence in the bonds, it was sending the equity markets and the stock markets all over the place as well. But I did notice that the gold market not only stayed stable, but even rallied with all this going on, which I would have thought would have been the opposite. But it showed me that the panic may not be all that long-lived as investors were looking for value in the recognized value of gold.
And I thought that was a positive thing. Let me recap the week for our listeners, Jimmy. Six days ago, August 16th, a Worthy News headline, it's a website, I know you use it as well, but it's a Christian website, Worthy News, said this: it said, Global debt nears $353 trillion. Wow. The caption under the headline said, according to the Institute of International Finance, global debt reached a record nearly $353 trillion at the end of March 2026, rising another $4.4 trillion in just the first three months of the year.
The total represents 305% of global economic output. And just three days ago, another worthy news report said this: it said, U.S. national debt is $40 trillion. And under that headline, it said government spending watchdogs are calling the amount staggering, noting that the debt has doubled over the past decade alone and is now larger than the entire U.S. economy.
Wow. R.C.
Now, this is why, because I admit, I don't know as much as you do about this, and I don't pretend to, but this is why I have you on the program because those numbers sound like serious business. And they really are, but they, but keep in mind that pretty much every Every new high in the level of debt has been met with fear and anxiety.
So let's go back. I thought maybe it would be interesting to go back to how this spiral began. And to me, it was in the 2008 and 9 financial crisis, with the world and financial system on the verge of complete meltdown. Candidate for U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama made some remarks during a July 2008 campaign stop in Fargo, North Carolina.
Then candidate Obama. Criticized George W. Bush's accumulation of the national debt. He stated that borrowing heavily from foreign holders like China to pass down debt to future generations was irresponsible and unpatriotic. Jimmy, as president, Obama then went on to add $4 trillion in new debt onto the existing $9 trillion in U.S.
debt. That really started a debt spiral. And I think that's what really has been going on ever since. Every president just finds a reason to add more debt. After that one, it became COVID, and now it's Iran.
So these kinds of things are happening all the time. That was when the world started to learn about quantitative easing or money printing by the Federal Reserve. And as I said, each watermark only got worse.
So I went back and looked at other watermarks. In 2017, the US debt hit 20 trillion. The reaction was characterized by quiet anxiety, political finger pointing, and warnings from economists that an international panic could happen. In 2022, the US debt hit 30 trillion. The global and domestic reaction was one of mounting alarm over, and this is what they called it, an unsustainable fiscal trajectory.
My point is that these are only numbers. We have no way of knowing if 40 trillion U.S. or 350 trillion global will cause a breakdown in the financial system. But, Jimmy, we do know that someday a number will be hit that will bring hyperinflation on a global scale that has never happened before. And that we know comes from Revelation 6:5 and 6.
When he opened the third seal, I heard the living creature say, The third living creature say, Come and see.
So I looked and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, A court of wheat for Daenerys and three quarts of barley for Daenerys, and do not harm the oil and wine. You know, RC, is this even when gold, the age-old store of money, will be worthless? It's exactly right. Jimmy, Ezekiel 7:9 teaches us this.
It says, They will throw their silver into the streets. Their gold will be like refuse. Their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They will not satisfy their souls nor their stomachs because it became the stumbling block of iniquity. Scary words.
My bones, Timmy, and I know it's yours. is that the catching up of believers to meet Christ in the air will be the catalyst for all these things. Yes, and of course we know that that is 1 Thessalonians chapter 4. And you know, when we look at these things, we understand because of our understanding of Bible prophecy, it really helps us to understand what the Word of God says. And I know that on your website, you have a paper that relates to this, correct?
Yes, I do. We wrote this paper a couple of years back. It reminds me a lot of your dad because I wrote this paper right at the time when your dad started to assign me some time on the program. I wrote it called, it's called The One Percent in Revelation, Do Not Harm the Oil and Wine.
So for anyone that it's free on the website, you just have to be signed into the website and you can click on any of our Bible studies. Yes, and that website is prophecytracker.org. And that's where you need to go if you're interested. And a lot of people, when you get to our age, RC, we start thinking about retirement. We start thinking about what we need to hang on to, what the future is going to be about.
But what gives us the hope is that rapture of the church, the blessed coming, the blessed event that's going to take place in the future. But yeah, we still need to be wise stewards of what God has given us and to help us to accomplish and realize that he owns a cattle on a thousand hills. Isn't that right? Right. That's absolutely right.
And we have really no reason for anxiety about these things because we know that Jesus is coming for us before the wrath of God happens. And thankfully, as we turn our attention to Christ, he will bring us with him. And what do we have to fear? R.C.

Well, today on the legacy series, we're going to begin a brand new study as we continue to look at the alpha. and Omega the beginning and the end. What takes place in Genesis sets the stage for the prophecies of Revelation to be fulfilled. The first nine chapters of the book of Genesis unfold before we come to where we begin our study today. We'll be looking at what happened after the flood of Noah's day.
We'll see how the nations came into existence, how human government was established, and the foundation for Bible prophecy. Genesis 10 and 11 set up the scenario for the end times Bible prophecy as was foretold in the prophetic book of Revelation.
However, We'll start our study in Genesis chapter 9. Please take your Bible and let's go to the book of Genesis. Doctor Jimmy D. Young and the Legacy series. Take your Bibles and let's go to the book of Genesis, if you will, with me.
Genesis and remember as I reflect again and rehearse how Genesis unfolds. Chapter one is creation, chapter two the special effects of creation. Chapter three, the fall of man. Chapter four, the story of Cain and Abel. Chapter five is the genealogy.
Chapter six, seven, and eight is Noah and the flood. Chapter nine is Noah after the flood. Let's go to chapter nine with me, if you will. Chapter nine. And verse 1.
You might remember reading in chapter 8 that the ark was resting on the mountains of Ararat. And there in the mountains of Ararat, Noah and his three sons and their four wives would depart the ark, and then God would give them a demand, a command, as to where they were to go. I have a very interesting story. One of the guests who used to come here to the end and give testimony, and one of the men that did that for a number of years was Colonel James Irwin. You might remember Jim Irwin.
He was on Apollo 15. Jim was with the crew, Apollo 15. He stepped down on the moon, bought those moon rocks back. And because of that time that he would come here, we developed a relationship over the years. And I had the unique opportunity of becoming a friend of Jim, having him tell me some of the things about the moon walk.
But what interested me as well was his advocation after he walked on the moon. He was in search of Noah's Ark. He spent almost every summer over in eastern Turkey in the mountains of Ararat climbing the mountains looking for Noah's Ark. He told me on one trip returning from that location that he believed they knew exactly where it was.
Now, you might recall that was the trip when he slipped on the ice because even in July when he was there, ice covered, I mean, it was the mountains, the top, the peaks were covered, of course, with snow and ice, but ice covered most of the mountains of Ararat even throughout the summer. And so it was very difficult to find the ark. He slipped, almost went into one of the crevices, almost killed himself. And when he returned to JFK in New York, Judy and I were living in New York. When he returned there, he had his daughter call me and say, Jimmy, come get me and get me through security, and I don't want to go meet the press.
Get me out of those journalists. Path. I don't want to talk to him. And so I got him and we came out. And he said, Man, thank you for saving me.
He said, I didn't want to have to answer those journalists as to how I could walk on the moon, but I couldn't walk on the mountain, you know. But he told me about this search for Noah's ark over there on the mountains of Ararat. One of the interesting things about that to me was, though, it gave me a better understanding because, as we're going to see in just a moment, when they landed there on the mountains of Ararat, they would move south into the plains of Shinar. Shinar, meaning the two rivers. It's the area of biblical times, Mesopotamia, which also means the two rivers.
We're talking about the Tigris and the Euphrates rivers. But when they landed there, God appears to Noah and gives him some instruction. Look at chapter 9 and verse 1. And God blessed Noah and his sons, and he said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. I like my translation a little bit better.
Repeople the earth. One billion people had been destroyed on the earth. And now eight people God had saved, preserved, and was going to give them an opportunity to start the experiment all over. And so he wanted Noah, Shem, Ham, and Jepheth, and their four wives to be fruitful. To produce children and to repeople the earth.
That was the command. It was not to stop and stay in one place, but repeople the earth. Forget about what's happened. It's over now. Go out, let's repeople the earth.
And I believe when we were looking at Genesis chapter 1, verse 9, where it talks about God bringing the mass of land together, that was one landmass which we called earth, which we know is the surface of the land surface of the earth today. And I don't believe that separated until the days of Pele, chapter 10, and verse 25, when not only the land separated, but the people and the languages separated as well. But in the process, God had given the command to Noah to go out and follow through with this, repeopling the earth. Just this little sidebar, look at verse 6, because here's where he establishes human government. He established the institution of marriage in Genesis chapter 2.
Over in Acts chapter 2, he will establish the institution of the local church. Here he establishes the institution of human government. Verse 6. Whoso Sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed, for in the image of God made he man. You see, God made man in his image, and to kill, to murder someone, is blasphemy against Almighty God.
Now, you have to understand, and there's some complexities in understanding the Bible, we must always remember that God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. It means he's all-powerful, all-knowing, and always present. He is God. We cannot understand God. We have no capability of understanding God.
We just believe God. We take Him at what He says to be what He wants for us to understand. We must accept that. We are not God, so we don't have an opportunity, we have no privilege to reason with God. Here he sets up human government by establishing what we would refer to today as capital punishment.
He said, You murder somebody, I am going to take your life. Do you understand that? And I'm establishing a structure by which this shall be followed. Capital punishment is the epitome of human government. Oh, there's a big discussion today about capital punishment as to whether we should do it or not.
Seemingly, they're always those advocates against capital punishment are the advocates for abortion. I do not understand that. I mean, if you talk about this being complex, how complex is that? And then, if they even talk about it, let me just remind you of something, my dear friend. Life does not start at birth.
Life does not start at conception. Life starts in the mind of God. Jeremiah chapter 1 and verse 5. God said, I chose you. Before you came out of your mother's womb, before your mother conceived you, I chose you in eternity past in my mind.
to be a prophet to the nations.
So that's where life begins. He establishes human life in his mind in eternity past. But he says if you kill someone that I have created in my image, I'm going to have to take your life as well. Capital punishment. You know, basically, human government has two roles, and that's all.
to protect us from outward attack. and to protect us from inward destruction. That's all human government is for. According to the planners of this human government that was established in the United States of America. Oh, we've taken it much farther than that.
You know, it is so bad. But here's human government.
Now, you say, well, what about war? That's killing people.
Well, I understand that I said the complexities. God does justify war. King David prayed to God and said, May I fingers be used for fighting, may my hands be used for killing. And so there is a justification for war. And we're not going to get into that subject, but I'm simply saying this is the location where God establishes human government.
Now go over to chapter 10 and verse 1, and I want to show you how. What we see here is the beginnings of obedience to what God said to do. Genesis chapter 10 and verse 1. And let me just say, as I start to read chapter 10, I want you to know chapter 11 is going to give the details. Chapter 10 is a genealogy.
We're looking at a genealogy. This is not advancing history here. It's simply telling you what's going to happen. When we get to chapter 11, you'll see that the people are of one language and in one location. And God's going to come and confuse their languages and cause them to spread out across the world.
That's chapter 11. That's making progress after chapter 9. And they're going to be doing what God told them to do, howbeit he's going to have to force them to do it. Chapter 10 is explaining that.
So don't say that as you read Genesis chapter 9, then chronologically chapter 10, and then chapter 11, that's not the case. Chapter 11, excuse me, the first nine verses are dealing with what is going to happen. And chapter 10 is an explanation of how that all happens. But let me look at chapter 10 with you first because I want to set up where I'm going.
Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Jepeth, and unto them were sons born after the flood. Notice, here's the first son, Jepeth. The sons of Jepheth were Gomer and Magog. Oh, pretty interesting. Keep reading.
Skip a couple. Meshech and Tubal. Go to the last one in verse 3. Tagarma. Wow, have we heard of those guys before?
These are sons of Jepheth, grandsons of Noah. Magog, Meshach, Tubal, Gomer, Tagarma. They go forth as grandsons doing what God told them to do.
Now, after After chapter 11, verses 1 to 9 takes place, Notice what happens in verse five of chapter 10. By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands, every one after his language, after their families, in their nations.
Now, you understand what I'm saying to you? Go here to chapter 11 just a moment. Verse 7. Here's God speaking. He said, Go to, let us go down, and that proves the Trinity, by the way, by there.
Go to, let us go down there and confound their languages that they may not understand one another's speech.
So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore, the name of it is called Babel, because the Lord did there confound the languages of all the earth, and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of the earth. Chapter 11, verse 1 says, And the whole earth was of one language and one speech. As we read chapter ten, verse five, it says they go to a certain real estate, piece of real estate, geographical location. There they will establish their families, develop their language, because The one language would be divided into many languages, and that would cause them to scatter upon the face of the earth.
And notice what it says in verse 5: and they brought their nations into existence. The beginning of nations is taking place 4,500 years ago. And they basically are put in place by the languages they will speak. Languages. Will play a key role.
A line in the sand is not the true border, it's the language that is spoken, and those language groups that help establish the nations. It's after the one language was confused by God when he came down there at Babel. HUMAN languages were used forty five hundred years ago to establish the borders of all the nations of the world. These nations that came into existence right after the flood of Noah's day will be the nations which play a key role in the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.
Next week in our study we'll see that one of those nations in end time prophecy was established by Ishmael, Abraham's son. I didn't say the Arab world, but one nation that was fathered by Ishmael. On Tuesday, a 7.7 magnitude quake struck off the coast of Flores Island, killing at least 68 and injuring more than 100, and roughly 13,000 people displaced. Daniel Saputra with Trans World Radio says reaching survivors is now an issue.
There are some people missing because the location that was hit by the earthquake is quite remote, actually, and the island. It's a big island, but then transportation to some other places is still very challenging. TWR broadcasts Gospel Hope across Indonesia through radio. Their Hope Prevails programs address emotional and spiritual wounds left by disaster. Pray God's comfort for the hurting and for survivors to be found.
And Jesus calls us to hear and believe. But what about those who can't hear? Rob Myers with Door International shares what happens when the deaf gain access to the gospel. There was a deaf leader from South Asia. He grew up in the church, and this was a church that had Jesus on the cross.
This deaf person, growing up in a hearing family, never understood who that person was that had been nailed to a cross and was bleeding. But everything clicked when they shared the gospel in sign language, and he began to share Jesus with other deaf people. The more that we can give deaf people an opportunity simply to know, There's a natural sharing evangelism making disciples that's going to happen in their communities as a result of that. I started out the program today talking about as the body of Christ, we look for specific signs outlined in the Bible to indicate. The end times.
Now, we don't necessarily use signs. Signs were given to the Jewish people in Matthew chapter 24, Mark 13, Luke chapter 21. But these are the birth pains, Rick, of prophecies being ready to be fulfilled in the future. And we primarily focus on prophetic events described in the New Testament, the book of Revelation, the book of Daniel, Ezekiel, the minor prophets. They're all about future events that are going to take place.
A thousand prophecies. Prophecies pertaining To Jesus Christ in the Bible and the return of Jesus Christ. 500 have been fulfilled. 500 left to be fulfilled in the future.
So I thought we would go over these and maybe, you know, just kind of rehearse some of the things that we talked about on the program today because we One of the areas that we look at is global and environmental distress and geopolitical warfare, escalating regional conflicts, international wars and widespread rumors of wars. Jimmy, escalating regional conflicts, international wars, that's what dominates the news nowadays. And and again, we look at the news. We're not reading the news. We're not looking at the newspapers.
We're not looking at the headlines and then trying to determine our Bible prophecy from that. Jimmy, I know that we have a system of studying Bible prophecy, and we understand what the Bible says is going to happen in the future. And then we look at the news. We look at it in that direction. And boy, like I said, escalating regional conflicts, things getting out of hand, chaos coming from Russia, chaos the internally in Iran, China and their ambitions, their motivations.
Those were all things we talked about today. Those are signs, like you said, signs of what what we know is going to happen in the future. And we can't help but recognize these signs, can we? That's right. The Axis of Evil, as we call it.
And they're coming together. I thought it was very interesting what David Dolan said about Turkey entering into Syria and Syria now becoming a part of this. Maybe a partnership with Turkey wanting to infiltrate. That is something that we have never seen before. And Israel, as David said, the first time striking an air base deep inside of Syria to really kind of prevent Turkey from coming.
But it looks like it's all going to be there. And it's the alignment of the nations are lining up. R.C.
Merle brought up the fact of the debt of not only the United States, a debt problem, but the debt problem of the world. And so appropriate that talked about in Bible prophecy will be an economic disaster during that situation. Seven-year period of time. Much talked about. Even so, that he brought up to my memory the prophecy in Ezekiel of where silver and gold will be thrown out onto the streets because it will be basically worth nothing in the future.
And I thought that was a very good idea. We encourage people to go back and to listen to that. But one thing I would like to point out, Rick, again, as we talk about geopolitical and Middle Eastern issues, the Antichrist, the rise of a charismatic, deceptive global leader who promises unity but demands worship, and then the formation of a powerful unity. Unified political economic system spanning multiple nations. And along with that, the false treaty that comes that the Antichrist confirms.
With the nation of Israel. And all of those are spoken of in the book of Daniel, giving us that outline. And really, Daniel is that. Skeleton book of how everything resides. All the future prophecies go back to the book of Daniel.
Interesting the way you look at it. And Bob McGinnis talked about it when he was Talking to us today, a scaffolding and artificial intelligence is something that he is very. Up on, and he's written three books, writing a fourth, and that is something that it seems to me is kind of going to be something that will fill in the cracks and enable all of these prophecies to be fulfilled. Prophecies that when we were initially studying these, we wondered how these things are going to take place. But this global debt, the way the technology works now, and then this artificial intelligence, those are things that we need to understand and take our Christian worldview and look at those things and see how they fit into Bible prophecy.
But Bob McGuinness was talking about the scaffolding. Arti uh artificial intelligence is the scaffolding. When you build a building, you put up scaffolding and you use that. And this is just the structure. This is the structure to which uh in the future The God's scenario that has been laid out in Scripture is going to unfold using these structures that are being built right now.
Yes. You know, we always focus on what sometimes people call prophecy doom and gloom. But there's a positive spiritual indicator for the end times, and not all signs are negative. Certain milestones represent the completion of God's mandate for this. Current age, the church age that we live in.
Global evangelism being one, the Christian gospel being preached to every nation and ethnic group on the earth. And we could see that today with missionaries and mission work going on around the world, and then the outpouring of the Spirit, a final widespread revival and spiritual awakening before the climax of history, which is the rapture of the church. And we sure do hope and pray that that happens. That even through this program, people are motivated to understand why Bible prophecy is so very important. We've talked about it before, Jimmy.
We call it the gift of Bible prophecy. I mean, you look at the, you know, you turn on the television, you look at the news, you see the chaos that surrounds us.
Well, we have the gift of Bible prophecy. We know where we are. We know what's going to happen in the future, but we know where we are, and we have an assurance. And that's what we want to share on this program. And again, sharing the gospel-that's our job.
That's our commitment. That's what we're supposed to be doing. That's what we are trying to do every week on this program. And we take that gift of Bible prophecy and we use it to help motivate us. I like what you said.
We know where we are, and we know where we're going. We run the race. We are trying to achieve that the prize. I run the race, trying to achieve a prize that one day God will say to me and to you, Well done, thou good and faithful servant. And that's what we are doing.
Rick, it's all about. God's plan for mankind by sending His Son to die for all. Of us, so that we would all spend eternity, be with God for eternity. Rick, with everything that we've seen today, we can't help but say, and I thank you again for doing the program, but we can't help but say, as we do in every program. That with all the things that we have seen, the rapture of the church can't be far away.
