South Florida. Not only is your weather heating up and your temps heating up this time of year, but the saltiness, the edginess. Man, I love the edge Jimmy Butler brings to the table. I love the sly smile on the face of Pat Riley, like he's had this secret all along. I love that Eric Spolstra approaches this in such a professional way. He even calls it mature and professional. The way the Heat dismantled the Celtics defense, if you can call it that, on Sunday, Game 3.
And can I throw this out? Because I am still blown away by the contrast of the way that Jason Tatum polished off the Sixers in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Remember, he had an abysmal performance through the first three quarters of Game 6. Remember, he had one field goal through the first three quarters of Game 6 as Boston is facing elimination on the road in Philly.
What does he do? In the fourth quarter, he pours in 16. He makes three triples. He outscores the Sixers by himself. In the sixth game in which the Celtics were facing elimination.
Then he follows that up with the most points in a Game 7 in NBA playoff history. The Sixers went home. The Celtics moved on. Against the Miami Heat, here's the contrast. Not a single point in the fourth quarter of any of these games.
Not a single point. In fact, in Game 3 on Sunday night, he wasn't even on the damn court in the fourth quarter because the Celtics had already waved the white flag. The Miami Heat are dominating.
Physically, mentally, on the court, on the sidelines. Yeah, they deserve to be edgy. Jimmy Butler deserves to do a little smack talking. A little trash talking.
Or forget the actual words. How about signaling to the Celtics bench that they desperately needed a timeout as they're getting run out of the building by the Heat. Mimicking what Al Horford did in Game 1 when he signaled to the Heat bench that Miami needed a timeout. Oh, and by the way, the Heat came back and won that game. If you'd like to watch it again, it's about to re-air on the NBA TV. I wonder if Joe Mazzulla is going to make his team watch it again. Or if you believe the chatter, maybe his voice doesn't carry the same weight anymore with the Celtics.
Now, I don't believe that. I think that's ridiculous. It's one of those hot takes that people jump to. And by people, I don't just mean fans.
Members of the media jump to it as well. I would be floored if Joe Mazzulla got fired. This is his first year as a head coach anywhere. And he was just given the permanent job. Well, nothing's permanent in terms of coaching in pro sports, but the interim tag was removed.
This is not on Joe Mazzulla. Though, of course, it reflects on him and it's embarrassing. But I don't believe for a second that the Celtics need a pep talk to go out there in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals when they are already trailing 0-2 and have lost both games at home.
No. At some point, these professional basketball players should have a little of that famed Celtic pride. They should know, inherently, it's do or die in Game 3. And yet they came out as though, just by showing up, somehow things were going to change.
Oh, they changed alright. Instead of being down by a handful of points or within striking distance in the second half, they're down by 33. Well, isn't that ironic, considering that that's Larry Bird's number? Did you see the Magic Johnson tweet following this game? I will quote Magic Johnson because if anyone knows about the Celtics and their tradition and their pride, it's Magic Johnson. In my 44 years of being associated with the NBA, I never thought I'd see a Boston Celtics team, a franchise with 17 championships, quit. I know Celtics fans all over the world must be disgusted and devastated. And then he goes on to say the score and that the Heat blew them out in Game 3. That's Magic Johnson. And his Lakers, they're also trailing 0-3.
But it's funny because no one's accusing the Lakers of quitting. I was listening to Sean Grandy and Cedric Maxwell, this is late third quarter, on the Celtics radio. And Sean goes into a timeout by saying the Celtics have surrendered. That was his tagline before he said, you know, you're listening to the Celtics radio network and the Celtics have surrendered. How?
How? I don't care if you are down 20 in the third quarter, you play your ass off. Because that sets the tone for game number four, in which you literally have your entire season or your postseason hopes hanging in the balance. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat, show no mercy.
It reminds me of Cobra Kai, Karate Kid, show no mercy. I don't think they would actually sweep the leg, but I think that's their mentality. Whatever it takes. And there is not a mentally tougher team. I do like the Denver Nuggets, I do think they're done getting pushed around and we'll talk about Denver as well as the Western Conference Finals. But the Heat are mentally tough. They are a team that has seen it all this season. And don't tell them this is a surprise. And internally it shouldn't be. If you don't believe you can win, what are you doing out there? But let's be honest, it is a surprise considering how bad their offense was all year.
And that's what I want to focus on. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that this team doesn't play defense or they're not battle tested enough or they don't have the coaches. No, none of that is true. The reason they were an eight seed in the NBA's Eastern Conference is because they sucked on offense this year. I've told you this before, they were bottom five, actually bottom three in pretty much every offensive metric that you can draw up. They were terrible offensively this season. From three point land, scoring offense, field goal percentage.
I could go and get you all the stats, but trust me. The offense is the surprise. It's not the defense. It's not the physical play.
It's not the fact that they want to make their opponents bang their heads against the wall proverbially. No, it's that their offense can go into a game three of an Eastern Conference Finals and still shoot the lights out. 19 of 35 from beyond the arc.
That's better than 50 percent. And sadly for the Celtics, a lot of those shots were wide freaking open. These are professional basketball players.
You give them a wide open shot, most of the time they're going to make them. 57 percent shooting in this game. They're playing their butts off offensively. Well, they're playing their butts off defensively and maybe it's taken some of the pressure off the offense.
But that's the part that's unexpected. Yeah, they put in the work as Bam Adebayo points out. And no, we don't see all the reps in the gym. We don't see all the shots that are going up. What we did see during the regular season is an offense that would routinely disappear. An offense that sometimes you just couldn't believe what you were seeing.
That is the truth. That's why this offense is a surprise through three games of the Eastern Conference Finals. Their strategy in the regular season was to drag opposing offenses down to their level. That was how they were going to win was with their defense and rebounding and toughness.
And now the offense is there as well. And again, maybe it's because they're playing freer. Maybe because they've been playing with nothing to lose now for weeks. It's the voices. It's the leadership. It's the chemistry. We talked about this last week.
Very few teams out there have the same chemistry that actually gives them an advantage on the court. Though the Florida Panthers have it. Our guest Dave Hyde of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel will join us next hour. Obviously a lot for him and for South Florida sports fans because there are no nights off.
No days off, as Bill Belichick would say. So yeah, the teams in South Florida are hot, hot, hot. But who's on the more dubious run?
The more unexpected run? Is it the Heat or is it the Panthers? And don't just consider these two teams in a vacuum. Consider the teams they had to come through. That's why you can't, again, look at the Panthers and say, well, sure, they're veterans.
They're experienced. They were the president's trophy winner a year ago. They had to go through the Bruins who had an historic season and they had to win multiple games in overtime and they had to do it in game seven on the road.
That's the part that's improbable. It's not just that the Panthers pushed their opponents to the brink. It's that they survived the best team in NHL history to do it. And that the Heat take out the Milwaukee Bucks with relative ease and they have to do it without home court advantage initially.
Of course, they grabbed it right away in the opener. But it's the fact that Milwaukee's battle tested too, right? We're not talking about a newbie in the playoffs. We're talking about a lineup that even without a completely healthy Giannis, even without some guys that they were able to be on the court. They were in the same boat as the Heat, right? Because the Heat are also missing people. The difference is that Miami is relentless.
They're just relentless. Whereas Milwaukee would have these stretches where they were prone to mental lapses. And I truly believe at this time of the year, it's mental. It's all mental.
Which means the Celtics right now are a head case. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. I was gonna say glad, then I was gonna say great. It came out glate.
You know me, I do like to make up words. I hope that you had a good weekend. I actually started out by dragging my rear end out of bed on Friday afternoon and getting in line to get Princess Leia washed. She was yellow. She had bird poop. She had some kind of sticky weird substance on her. Somebody had thrown food on her. It was time.
Plus there was dog hair on the inside. And so I'm really proud of myself. I only had to wait 20 minutes.
The coffee helped me get through it. So I started out my weekend with a gloriously clean car. And then I was, as I was putting her stuff back in the trunk, the stuff that I, well it's a hatchback, but back with all her tools and my sporting goods and shopping bags and all that jazz.
I was putting, oh Penny's ramp. I was putting everything back in her trunk. By the way, if you haven't seen what Princess Leia's trunk looks like, Jay and I did a video last summer, part of our Stairway to Seven series called Junk in the Trunk. And so you could see exactly what Princess Leia's trunk looks like.
Oh and Jay's too. I mean there might have been things growing in there. So you can check that out on our YouTube channel After Hours with Amy Lawrence.
Just a side note for promotional purposes. So I was putting all the stuff back into Princess Leia's trunk. And as I'm standing there, a bird poops on a window. I had just got the car wash, but I can only park under a tree. It's the only real huge oak tree that's on my property, but it's right over my driveway.
So there's nothing I could do. Immediately clean it off though. I'll be darned if that bird poop was going to stay in my window. And wouldn't you know, I came out of the house on Sunday morning for church. And of course a bird had pooped on another window.
I was like, you've got to be kidding me. But I'm not parking in the street because you never know when some teenager or other driver is going to be playing on their phone and not paying attention and slam right into my parked car. So I'm not doing that either. It's first world problems. It's actually northeastern part of the United States problems with birds pooping on cars. Just get a free like 12 hours or so after the car wash. Wherever a bird poops on you or something happens, you can just go back like quick little... Just, you know, take care of this one little spot for me, please. So that was how I started. Got a lot done on Friday.
Had a video date, which sounds funny, but what you got to do when you're in a long distance relationship. Uh, Saturday, well Saturday was a really rainy day. So I was fretting over my peonies all day, worried that they were going to get knocked off the plants because they're very delicate flowers. I have some pictures to show you of the peonies. Oh man, not only do they survive, but as I was leaving on Sunday night to come to work, they were standing back up again, right? So they, as long as they're not knocked off the actual stems, the flowers will stand back up again as they get some sunshine. So they were standing up over the course of the daytime and regaining their strength and just still in full bloom.
I'm so thankful that they've survived. Here we might get some severe-ish weather on Wednesday. So I'm a little bit nervous.
I don't know if I should put something over them, maybe a sheet or something to try to protect them from getting knocked off the stem. So we'll see. They only bloom for a couple of weeks every year, but they do mark the anniversary of me becoming a homeowner. So that happened this weekend, which was really neat just to remember where I was three years ago and where we as a society were three years ago, right? With everything shut down, buying a house and moving in the midst of a pandemic is as much fun as it sounds. Let me just tell you, I moved 80% of the house myself. 80% of a house all by myself with my own two arms and legs. So it was a really neat anniversary to be able to celebrate three years.
And still, it's a challenge for me. I love being a homeowner. Hope you had a great weekend. Jay and I actually experienced something super cool on Saturday night that we'll tell you about as we move forward, though there is a photo just to give you a hint on Twitter, A Law Radio. Should we put that hint up on our Facebook page as well? I think we should. Yeah, definitely.
Hint, hint. This is what Jay and I did this weekend. It was an after hours field trip.
So we'll do that as well on our Facebook page. And coming up, you'll hear from the Heat and then from the Celtics because they got some explaining to do. It's After Hours with Amy Lauren. So what are you thinking for lunch? I can't. I'm getting new window treatments. So I got to go home and wait around all afternoon for a design consultation just to get a quote.

At your local CSL plasma center and be rewarded for your generosity. It's on CBS sports radio. You are listening to the after hours podcast. Back to Lowry back to Martin. He pump fakes with Tatum in his face. Out to Namdi for three.
Got it. Gabe Vincent embodying perfection in 13 minutes. He's four for four from the floor. Three ball. He got it. He got hit by smart.
It didn't matter. Timeout Boston snaps to the dump. The three ball left corner pocket. What is happening? The heat have the soul of the Celtics and they shouldn't give it back. He'd 56 Celtics 37 the four Oh five remaining here in the second quarter drive kicks it to Mark. I'll talk to Duncan. Open for three. High Arctic ripping off the net to say a center is running on.
This is after hours with Amy Lawrence. Jason Jackson on Miami heat radio. And this is when it started to get away from the Celtics. They were only down by a couple of points at the let's try to think at the end of the first quarter.
Actually, if I go back and look, I'll just look at the box score to be sure. Yeah, they were down by single digits at the end of the first quarter, and so they were well within striking distance. But the difference was that they had given up 30 points already, and that was actually the low quarter for the Miami Heat. So right away the heat were aggressive. They were attacking. They were locked in offensively, and the Celtics defense was able to do absolutely nothing to get them out of their rhythm.
It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. That third quarter is when the heat found another gear and the Celtics got run out of the building. Lobbing the smart couldn't get it up.
Not the other way for three transition. It's a net ripper. He stared it down a hand slap with Bama time out. Tatum on the drive, cut off by Bama, nice little heavy move, lost the ball. Jimmy has it. Working down the right side. Snaps it to Nomney. Side step.
Kicks it to Caleb. Long two. He got it to go. Only Tatum and Brown have scored in double figures for Boston.
14 and 12 respectively. Not enough. Jimmy side step. He rolls in a long two from inside the arc on the right side. Got at least another game. Game is loose.
Cook up a ghost. Six threes in nine tries. He has 29. We were able to get the game on our terms and sustain it, you know, even, you know, through some of the runs in the first half and early in the third quarter. That was a solid, mature, professional approach. You know, there's a lot of pent up stuff here and we're getting closer.
But, you know, we still have to finish this off. I just didn't have him ready to play. Yeah, just I just didn't have him ready to play. I should have, whatever it was, whether it was the starting lineup or it was an adjustment, just I have to get them in a better place, ready to play.
That's on me. A tale of two coaches in this series and a tale of two postgame press conferences from those two coaches. First, Eric Spulstra and then Joe Mazzola. Now, Spulstra was part of the roster, the coaching roster, the coaching staff, it was probably more appropriate, that won a championship with Dwyane Wade going back to, shoot, was it 06? So he was part of that.
So his entire career has been on the Miami Heat bench. He came up through the ranks as an assistant and then took over before the Lebron, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Big Three. So he also led the team or was the coach. I'm not sure how much the Big Three was taking all the coaching, but he was the head coach and he had the backing of Pat Riley when the Big Three went to four straight or sparked four straight NBA Finals appearances for the Miami Heat.
And the reason I say he had the backing, you guys may not remember this, but this was my career. I was covering this series, so I do remember this. There was a time when the Miami Heat, as they were retooling that lineup and figuring out who would have the ball when and who would shoot how and really rotations and rolls with Bosh and Wade and Lebron.
And I don't know if you remember this, but I guess if you were a Miami Heat fan at the time, you could. They started out really poorly in the regular season. They had a record below.500, they were criticized royally. Then, even as they were getting toward the playoffs, they were stumbling, kind of scuffling again.
It was not an easy run for them. They were ultimately 58 and 24 in that first season together with the big, around the Big Three, but it was the leadership of guys like a Udonis Haslam and also Pat Riley backed Eric Spolstra. There was a time when things were kind of getting out of hand, and there were rumors of rumbling in the locker room, rumors that Lebron James and these other guys did not want Eric Spolstra as their head coach because they came in after Spoe, right? He took over in 08-09. There was speculation that a coaching change was going to be made, and Pat Riley said, no, Eric Spolstra is the head coach. He's not getting fired because you all don't want to work with him. He backed Eric Spolstra, and it was obviously the right thing to do.
It worked out famously. So Spolstra was the head coach for those four runs to the finals and then the two rings. He's got a lot of experience, too. A lot of wisdom, too. And when he says this was a solid, mature, professional approach, that is what he's after. He called a timeout late in the third quarter, which made me laugh. Absolutely.
Call a timeout. Keep it going. But you hear what he has to say about we're not there yet. We still have work to do. That is a forward thinking coach. Now you could say maybe he's never satisfied, but that's not the truth. The truth is that he has high expectations. And when a coach or a boss has high expectations, even when a player or employee feels like they're unreasonable, many times it's because that coach or boss believes in the potential, believes in the possibilities. And that's Eric Spolstra.
You want to talk about solid, mature, professional? That's Eric Spolstra. Gabe Vincent with a career high 29 points in this game.
He goes six of nine from beyond the arc. I don't know if surprise is the word. I mean, we played well tonight. We defended. We made shots. We forced them into turnovers and it was just great to be home. I think we rode the momentum of our crowd as well. We just needed, you know, the ups and downs prepared us for these moments. They prepared us for, you know, going 11 and three in the postseason. Still having a great opportunity to go further in this playoff run. So for us, it's not shocking because, I mean, y'all not around, but y'all don't see the work that a lot of guys put in, you know, and, you know, it's speaking volume right now in this postseason.
So for us, I don't believe it's a surprise or a shocker. Bam Adebayo, 13 points. That's all that was needed. He actually shot four of five from the field, but didn't need to do much more. Only had to play 26 minutes in this game.
You know, it's amazing. And I know the Celtics could theoretically say the same thing because their starters weren't playing either in the fourth quarter, but it's different when you get shellacked. The Heat didn't have to play their guys, right? They didn't have to play their guys in the fourth quarter.
Their guys, other than Kevin Love, who was nursing an ankle, we believe, they didn't have to go heavy on Bam or Max or Jimmy, though Jimmy did play 31 minutes. But the intensity with which they focus on defense, the intensity with which they play these games takes a lot out of them. And they're going to have to turn around. They want to close out in game four. They do not want to send this back to Boston for a game five, though they're not intimidated by being in Boston, but they would like to end it sooner rather than later.
All these guys are dealing with aches and pains. And if the Nuggets close out the Lakers in game four, they are going to want to end the series early. In case you're wondering, no team has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit in the NBA playoffs, though there will be a first time. I'm not telling you I think the Celtics will be it or the Lakers will be it.
I don't, but there will be a time when that happens. Duncan Robinson giving us a peek behind the curtain when it comes to that defense of the Celtics and how the Heat are able to find shooters who are wide open. Ball movement, player movement, and then also just making plays. You know, we've had a lot of guys. Surgeons keep our hearts beating. They do the amazing, help save lives.

Donate today at your local CSL plasma center and be rewarded for your generosity. Starting with our best players, you know, just be super aggressive, putting pressure on the rim, causing the defense to collapse and making plays from there. It is something that we talked about to start the series, the spacing, right? Ball movement, player movement. If you got guys spaced out all over the half court, then there's a lot of territory for defenders to cover. And then if you swing the ball around quickly, which is something we see the Golden State Warriors do all the time, although Miami takes better care of the basketball than does Golden State, at least right now, you swing the ball around quickly enough, the ball moves a lot more quickly than a man does, right?
I mean, it just, it stands to reason. Same thing with a zone offense. If they choose to try that, as long as you're hitting shots, you can beat a zone, did I say offense?
Sorry. You can beat a zone defense. If you find seams in the zone, penetration you drive, defense collapses in a zone, you kick, but with the Celtics trying to switch, trying to keep up, the effect is that Boston is chasing. They're chasing the ball. They're chasing the shooters. And they're not, they didn't do a very good job of it in this particular game.
It was evident early on. It got away from the Celtics in the third quarter and man, was it a party in South Florida. Impressive to see the fans respond too. They got a lot on their plates right now. They got a lot on their plates right now. Panthers also as the lowest seed remaining in the Eastern Conference playoffs. And as these two teams have accumulated wins along the playoff run, what's happening? They're also gaining confidence. And that confidence right now for the Panthers and the Heat is indefatigable. They need it. You have to have confidence to go into hostile environments like this and win on the road in a game seven like the Panthers did in Boston. You have to. Also as a side note, even though the Bruins are not in the conference finals, the two vaunted Boston teams in the Celtics and the Bruins potentially both getting ousted by a South Florida team.
Could that be a battle cry? These are two pretty abrupt exits. Whenever the Celtics are done, it's fairly abrupt considering the high hopes for both the Bruins and the Celtics to start this spring. You can find me on Twitter, ALawRadio. Love to hear from you. Also on our Facebook page, After Hours with Amy Lawrence. So let's see, straight up top of the hour, we'll talk with Dave Hyde of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. He's running around writing columns about both of these teams. I'll ask him which one is on the more dubious arc. He's got good stuff.
He wanted to check him out on Twitter. And then we'll talk Nuggets Lakers, of course, because that happened Saturday and the Nuggets are also sitting on a 3-0 lead. We'll look at the latest in the Western Conference Finals in hockey and the PGA Championship.
Wowsers. So we'll work in some of that, plus the Celtics reaction. They look shell-shocked, actually, following this Game 3. You are listening to the After Hours Podcast. We have respect, deep respect for Boston and everything that we went through previously and some of the emotions are coming out, but I like that and then we're just going to direct us and keep on focusing on the task at hand.
This is After Hours with Amy Lawrence. Eric Spoelstra expressing their appreciation, A, for what Boston's accomplished and their healthy respect for that. You don't go into a Game 4 pretending that you just show up and all of a sudden it's a sweep because that will not happen more than likely. You can't imagine a team with this many veterans like the Celtics have to get run or to not be prepared for a second consecutive game. Just like you wouldn't expect it of the Heat. Well, that's why it was so shocking with the Celtics. Likely not going to happen a fourth game or for Game 4, a second game in a row because they've got jobs on the line too and these are professional athletes who do have pride and they did say that following the game even if they didn't necessarily have the answers as to how this could possibly go so off the rails and we're talking train wreck for the Celtics and the Heat deserve a ton of credit for that. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio, a career high 29 points for Gabe Vincent, 22 for Duncan Robinson. How about Jimmy Butler not even being in the top three for the Heat with their scoring? In fact, he wasn't even required to be at the post game podium following Game 3 because he wasn't the superstar, though we know he is the center cog in the wheel. But what about finding an offensive rhythm after a season in which it was so up and down?
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Gabe Vincent. I'd say the process was painful at times and rewarding at others, but definitely right now it's rewarding. It's paid off. We've put in a lot of work. It's been a long season and we're just playing good basketball at the best time. Yeah, see, no one's under any illusions that Miami's been playing like this all season. No one's under any illusions that the Heat had found the formula offensively until they get to the postseason. That's the part that's amazing. And don't forget they were nearly ousted by Chicago, right?
Ifs and buts. It's After Hours here on CBS Sports Radio. Charles Barkley was in rare form on Inside the NBA on TNT, and they did have Gabe Vincent at the set with them following this blowout against the Celtics. You know, they're a really good team. They're a well coached team. They got stars. They're not going to lay down.
So, you know, we got to come in and handle business on Tuesday. Yeah, clearly you didn't watch the game tonight. But well coached and don't lay down. Hey, go look at the tape again.
Easy. That's on the Inside the NBA on TNT set. And Charles Barkley was making a lot of headlines for some of the quips that he was directing at the Celtics after this loss. And we're talking national TV embarrassing for Boston.
So now what? Joe Mazzulla, he's taking it on the chin to be sure. And he's also running interference for his players. He said this was on me.
I didn't have them ready to play. There was even the question of whether or not he lost the locker room. How about that? Someone asked him that question following game number three. Whether or not he was establishing himself being vocal enough in this locker room to kind of get through to these Celtics. At the time, you think you say what needs to be said. But at the same time, like you just have to be better. I got to make sure when we step on that floor that we're ready to execute. We're ready to be physical. We're ready to play harder than the other team.
That's my job. Coach is saying that he's being generous. But at the end of the day, that falls on each player. We know what we have to do. We knew the magnitude of this game. And as a player, I take responsibility because we didn't have what we needed to have.
So that's what that is. We just got to come out and play basketball. Come out with a great mentality. Come out and have some pride about yourself. Come out, have some pride about, you know, who you plan for. You know, have some pride about whatever. And just come out and play basketball. I believe we can win the next one. So we just got to come out and play.
Jalen Brown. Effort has to change. Have some pride. That famed Celtics pride.
Al Horford before that. Really telling the truth about the fact that you can't blame the coach for this. It's not like all of a sudden he forgot out a coach or we forgot what he told us.
Nah, this is on us. We did not play the way that we're capable of. And seriously, Jason Tatum, Jalen Brown, Al Horford, Marcus Smart. He was a mess out there. I'm not sure what was going on with Marcus. He didn't have his pregame coffee or something. Jimmy Butler does have pregame coffee.
These guys are veterans. Malcolm Brogdon. Listen to some of the plus minus numbers from game number three. And again, these guys weren't playing in the third quarter or in the fourth quarter.
Excuse me. Jalen Brown minus 25. Jason Tatum minus 23. Al Horford minus 21.
Again, these are supposed to be not just their best players, but their top defenders too. Off the bench, Brogdon minus 23. Robert Williams minus 17 off the bench.
It was pretty bad. You had three of the Celtics starters that didn't even manage double figures. And so for Jalen Brown, who called on the Celtics crowd and the Celtics fans for game number seven in their last series against Philadelphia, demanding that they bring it. Because they had heard the boos, remember? They'd heard the boos in that Sixers series. Now he's taking accountability for where they have not brought the effort and the intensity and all of the sense of urgency that they should have.
I don't even know where to start. It's obvious, obvious let down. I feel like we let our fan base organization down. We let ourselves down and it was collective. We can point fingers, but in reality, it was just embarrassing.
Reality, it was just embarrassing. We'll hear from Jason Tatum, but generally Jalen Brown is the one who's at least more willing to go kind of dig down deep at the microphone. You can find me on Twitter, A Law Radio, also on our Facebook page After Hours with Amy Lawrence, we're going to head to South Florida top of the hour with Dave Hyde, who is covering both the Panthers and the Heat runs right now as they close in on the championship series in hoops and hockey. But just quickly, Brooks Koepke, he is back and I am thrilled that he's healthy again because it was injuries. It was a knee that could have been crippling that could have ruined the rest of his career that he had to deal with for a couple of years. But now he's healthy and he's always a threat in the majors. And on any course when he's not dealing with injuries because he is, not only is he powerful, but he's precise. He is a lot of fun to watch if you're looking for someone who can dissect a golf course and he wins his third PGA Championship, his fifth major. But did he ever think this moment would come around again? A couple of years ago, yeah.
Just lost, didn't know where my golf swing was, didn't know physically if I was capable of getting back to where I was. But, I mean, a lot transpired, you know, working with Pete, working with Claude, working with Pierce on putting. And then, you know, A.C. has done a phenomenal job in the gym. And Ara, Mark Wald, you know, they're all behind the scenes and they don't get enough credit. But they've definitely, they've revived my career. And I think, you know, a lot of credit to those guys. I think Ara said it best a couple of months ago that if we couldn't get the swelling out of my knee, everybody was fired.
So they've done a great job and I wouldn't be here without them. Long list of people on Brooks Koepka's team that have helped him come back from what were devastating injuries. 105th PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club, initially delayed by Frost on the ground going back to Thursday. They were kind of playing catch up into the weekend. But when it came to Sunday, no one was able to catch up with Brooks Koepka. We'll have more from him, plus the story of Michael Block. What an awesome, an awesome time supporting him on Sunday. But back to South Florida next on CBS Forge Radio. At your local CSL plasma center and be rewarded for your generosity.
