When a holy God tells Joshua to be courageous, it must be important for taking the promise of the land. We need God's encouragement to claim all the promises of God, which are yes and amen in Christ.

Joshua 1, 6, 7, 9. When a holy, holy, holy God tells Joshua three times to be courageous, courageous, courageous, it must be important, really important, utterly important. It's what we all need if we're going to take the promise of the land. Courage. So we need God to put the courage in. That's what we need, encouragement. If God has already promised the land, if it's already ours, we don't need more skill or more information. We just need more courage. When it comes to claiming all the promises of God, which are yes and amen in Christ, may God make you brave, child of God. Brave, brave, brave.
