God knows you can't fulfill the high ideals of the Christian life by your own strength, but He promises to clothe you with power from on high, according to Luke 24, to help you love your enemies, forgive the undeserving, and rejoice amidst persecution.

May you be clothed with power from on high. God knows you can't live the Christian life by your own strength. Who can love an enemy? Who can forgive the undeserving? Who can rejoice amidst persecution? Who can heal the sick?
Who can cast out evil? God knows you can't fulfill one shred of the high ideals and glorious invitations of the Christian life by your own efforts. So, as He promised the early disciples, He now promises to you that you will be clothed with power from on high, according to Luke 24. Feeling weak? Despair not, child of God. You never were supposed to be strong. That's God's job. That's God's promise. You'll be clothed with power from on high.
