Make America Godly Again

Greg Laurie here. You've heard about these devastating fires that we're experiencing right here in our backyard in Southern California. These fires are moving so quickly and they're zero percent contained. So what should we do? Pray. Pray for these firefighters. Pray for their protection.

Thank you so much. Hey everybody, Greg Laurie here with some thoughts about our new president Donald J Trump. Let's all be praying that God leads him and guides him and protects him and blesses him. I'm very appreciative of the fact that many committed Christians have been put in positions of influence around the president and that's exactly what we want. We want godly people influencing and counseling our president. You know the Bible says when the righteous reign the people rejoice.

So let's pray that our greatest days for the United States are ahead of us not merely behind us. You know sometimes people accuse us who are patriotic Christians of being what they call a Christian nationalist. I'm not sure what they mean when they use that phrase. I don't think it's positive though. And they seem to think that we want to impose our views on the rest of the nation through government.

Not true. What we really want honestly as Christians and the church is to be left alone. To do our own thing to use 60s vernacular. To do what we do best. To teach the Word of God.

To preach the gospel and to love and help people in the name of Jesus Christ. I know President Trump understands the important role that faith plays in the history of our nation and the need for faith in the present and future of our nation. So I appreciate the president's goals of wanting to make America successful again, prosperous again, strong again, indeed great again. Our job as Christians and the church is to do everything we can to make America godly again. Let's pray to that end. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.
