Baptism is a Trinitarian act, signifying and sealing our union with the triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It's a naming ceremony, giving us the family name of children of God, and a visible sign of our faith in Christ. Through baptism, we're brought into communion with the triune God, and we receive the assurance of our sonship, being declared beloved sons of God, with whom He is well pleased.
