As believers, we are called to be salt and light in a world without values, a world without understanding, a world where everything has gone amok. We have the responsibility of proclaiming to the world that this is reality, there are values out there, and we are to be light. We must point people to Jesus, not to ourselves, and be aware of the pitfalls that we face, such as losing our ability to be salty or hiding our light.
