Marion Cooper's life was marked by adventure, war, and service. He served as a U.S. Army pilot in World War I, where he was shot down and captured by the Germans. Cooper's experiences inspired him to become a filmmaker, and he went on to write, direct, or produce some of the best movies to ever come out of Hollywood, including King Kong.
