The Antichrist and the false prophet are two key individuals who will play a role in the final years of Earth's history, according to the book of Revelation. The Antichrist will be a powerful ruler who will be accepted by the mass of people, and will have the qualities of three fierce animals. He will be empowered by Satan and will have the ability to perform miraculous signs. The false prophet will be a religious figure who will preside over an apostate church and will have the ability to perform great signs, including making fire come down from heaven. He will also be able to induce people to follow after the Antichrist and will be able to restrict commerce to those who do not worship the Antichrist.
