In West Africa, child labor and sex trafficking are rampant, with children as young as six years old being exploited for labor and vulnerable to being kidnapped for child sacrifice. A team from Lantern Rescue, a ministry program dedicated to combating human trafficking, traveled to the region to provide training and support to local law enforcement and to rescue children from exploitative situations. The team's efforts resulted in 101 investigations being opened, and children were taken to aftercare facilities where they received food, clothing, and emotional support. The team's work is a testament to the importance of addressing the root causes of human trafficking and providing support to those affected by it.
