Blessings to Israel presents, Deserting the Times, a program committed to encouraging you to view current events through the lens of the Bible.

Now, in honor of the one and only true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, please join us for today's program. Oh, I'm sorry, Congressman Garcia, something has happened at the Trump. Oh, we see Donald Trump there at a rally in Pennsylvania. You can see his face. There's blood, blood coming from his ear.

Not exactly sure what has happened, but those are secret service agents. I'm trying to pull Donald Trump off the stage. He's pumping his fist in the air.

The crowd is chanting USA, USA. Again, this is live. Yeah, this is live from a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, in Butler, Pennsylvania. Former President Donald Trump, something happened, clearly some kind of an attack. You see there clearly blood on his right ear as Secret Service tried to push him into the SUV. Earlier as we came on, you saw the former president pumping his fist in the air as the Secret Service agents tried to get him off the stage.

They have succeeded in getting him into the armored SUV. Well, that was the scene that played out just this past weekend and which all of us have probably seen and heard that footage over the airwaves multiple times over the past week. The assassination attempt on presidential candidate Donald Trump, a very sobering moment that really has shaken our nation. And we shudder to think of as bad as it was, how much worse it would have been had the life of Donald Trump been taken.

But there were victims, unfortunately, whose lives are just as valuable as President Trump's. And we'll talk about those on today and the entire situation. We will look at it and and think, how should we as a nation and how should we as believers in Jesus Christ look at what has taken place here in the United States of America?

So we will get to that this week. But before we do, I want to remind you that your eternal state is far more important than your current state. If you've never received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do so today. Otherwise, if you leave this out of life without having received him, you will spend eternity in the lake of fire separated from God.

So will you please give your heart to Jesus Christ on today? All right, folks. So that opening clip was courtesy of MSNBC breaking news as what was happening live at that moment in which Donald Trump was speaking at a rally and there were gunshots that were fired upon him. And unfortunately, there were lives lost during this event. Let me just say this to get us started that now is not the time for conspiracy theories. There are a lot of conspiracies that are flying around. I want to steer clear of that type of thing. Yes, there are a lot of question marks. There are a lot of things that make you think something is not right with this.

How did this happen? But I'm not going to go there for today. And I think we just really need to be in prayer for our nation. Look to Jesus Christ during this time that we are living in. And as we look at this subject, I know some people right up front, they get bothered whenever we talk about politics. There are people out there that say we shouldn't be involved in politics. Why are you putting your faith and trust in that?

Well, let me just be clear, folks. Our ultimate trust is in Jesus Christ, not politicians. We are to be salt and light. And that is where our involvement is extended from. That is the position that we come from to be salt and light and to be involved.

But no, we don't put our faith and trust in politicians. Our faith and trust is in Jesus Christ. But we are again to shine his light into this in darkened world. Folks, let's remember the victims what we know as of today that there was a fatality, a man by the name of Corey Corey comparator, a 50 year old church going man, as he was described, who who was shielding his wife and family from gunfire when he was killed. There were two others that were critically injured.

As of now, I'm hearing that they are in stable condition. So we remember all of those that are involved, those who who lost their lives and then those who have been left behind the loved ones. But we also remember the gunman because, folks, yes, what he did was it was atrocious, such an egregious act. But also remember, he has an eternal soul. We all have eternal souls.

We're all going to be in eternity, either in the presence of our Lord or the lake of fire. So we need to remember all remember the the family members of the loved one who were left behind to cope with this being in prayer for those people as well. So we just lift everyone up to the name of our great Lord.

So what I want to do today, I want to share some some different clips from different perspectives. And I want to begin by listening to what Bishop Wooden had to say. This is his opening prayer in church service on the Sunday following this shooting that took place at this rally. Father, in Jesus name, we just thank you. Thank you for this day and thank you, Lord, for life, for health, and for strength. Thank you for your goodness, for your kindness, and for your tender mercy. Thank you for what you've done for us. And thank you for where you have brought us from. In the name of Jesus.

We love you. We give you all of the praise and all of the glory. God, you met us this morning and we ask that you would speak again. And Father, we ask that at this critical time in history, that God, that you would arrest every madman. Father, we are accustomed to seeing our political opponents defeated at the ballot box and not by an assassin's bullet.

Not by crazy courtroom antics. God, bring peace to our nation. And Lord, thank you. And I would say this to you, Lord, whether we were talking about a Democrat or a Republican, I'm so glad, oh God, that the bullet did not find its mark. We thank you for that. Sometimes, Lord, it's easy for us to forget that everybody's loved by someone.

That everybody's someone's hero or heroine. God, we want peace. We want peace in the name of Jesus. And Lord, as believers, we believe that you have built us for these times. Hallelujah. And that we believe your word that you will not suffer us to be tempted above that we are able, but will lift the temptation, provide a way of escape so that we can bury it. Thank you, Lord.

Thank you, Lord. So that was the voice of Bishop Patrick Wooden, the pastor of the Upper Room Church of God in Christ in Raleigh, North Carolina. And I wanted to share that prayer, the way he opened service when he got up for his sermon on the Sunday following the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, because I thought that prayer really reflects my heart. And I think it reflects what should be the heart of all of us out there in that he said, we want peace.

And his tone was the tone of what we've heard from many throughout the week is that we need to lower the temperature. All of this, this, this fighting, all of this rage, all of the division, all of the hate that is within the hearts of so many, it's not of God and it's not good for our nation. And we have to understand folks that just because we disagree, just because we have a different ideology, a different viewpoint, even maybe a different religion that does not give us the right to take somebody's life. That should not cause us to have a desire to want someone to be dead. And as he said, I'm so thankful that that bullet did not penetrate presidential candidate Donald Trump's brain. And thankfully it was just his ear or things in our nation would be much different as bad as it is today. Again, this is not to minimize the loss of life and the loss of those who were injured because their lives are just as valuable as Donald Trump's. And again, we all have eternal souls that, that we have to think about. I shudder to think about though, that Trump had been killed, what our nation may be experiencing right now, it may be total civil unrest that we would be experiencing.

So I really think it was the hand of God that, that kept his life from being taken on that day. And again, that should be the heart of us all, regardless of whether you're a supporter of him. Listen, if you don't agree with him, if you don't like his, his attitude and his boastfulness, I don't prefer all of that either. But you know, and I'm going to talk about this before we close in how we really need to look at policy versus personality. But even if you're not a supporter, even still, you should be thankful that the man's life was spared.

And it saddens me that I see so many out there that are not taking that, that position. But I want to share some more from Bishop Wood. And he went on to have further comments as he reflected on what we saw take place.

What a very serious hour. We saw something yesterday that should happen. Now, regardless of your politics, some things are above politics.

I have, I have many questions. I don't understand how anyone could get within 130 yards of a former president and a major candidate with a AR gun and the Secret Service not knowing. I don't understand how people can be at the event, could be at the event telling them that man has a gun. Regular folks see it, see him, but the authorities don't. Now everybody's eyes work the same way.

And they see the man climbing the wall and pointed out, so he has a gun and no one sees it until he fires a shot. If there is something in you that would cause you to rejoice when you see something like that, you need to be saved. There's something wrong with you. And it doesn't matter the politics. It doesn't matter the politics. I don't want to see President Biden shot by no one.

No, sir. I had a problem doing President Obama's reign when he was president. I had a problem with all these new movies coming out, White House down and this down, the president getting shot.

What is this? This is not good. And I don't want to say too much because I don't know any more than you know, but I don't see how that's possible that a shooter, a 20-year-old shooter, the boy with the last damn crooks, no longer than 20, could get on the roof of a building 130 yards away and have a direct sight. And all of those Secret Service agents didn't see it. And I do know that the Trump campaign has requested more Secret Service agents on more than one occasion and with every request, they've been turned down. I bet they'll give them more now.

And after the conviction, you know, they tried to get his Secret Service detail removed. Now, regardless of how you feel in America, we beat our opponents or they beat us at the ballot box, not by shooting them and things of that nature. That is not good at all. I will say this too, and then I'm going to preach. It blessed me in a day where preachers have made a mint, they made a fortune. Bishop Jakes made a fortune telling men to take the S off their chest, made a fortune telling us, you know, you've been hurt, you've been hurt, making crybabies out of men.

There's nothing now to turn the television on. You see these black men sitting there crying and crying. We can cry.

Now, we never bought that here. When it was popular, I didn't go along with that because not that men don't cry, but because we do, but men aren't women. Amen. And men don't, they ain't supposed to handle things like a woman, you know.

You have to man up. And whether it was President Trump, former President Trump, or had it been President Biden, any man that can get shot and get back on his feet and show defiance and say fight as a man, as a man, that moved me. Praise the Lord. That's moving. That's powerful. Well, I echo those words of the bishop because there are some things that a person's life rises above.

It transcends politics. And again, it should not cause you to rejoice over him possibly being killed or some people hoping that he, he would have been killed because as he said, we win at the ballot box, not by murder. And there are even people that are criticizing Trump for getting up and pumping his fist and saying fight.

And I just think that really shows the darkness, the depravity of a person's, the sinfulness of a person's heart to criticize a man who, who just nearly had a bullet go through his brain to criticize him for standing up and pumping his fist. I think that really says something about one's heart, but I want to now shift to a prophecy. There was a prophecy that was given in March of 2024 by a man by the name of Brandon Biggs. And this prophecy is making the rounds.

And I want you to listen to what he had to say again in March of 2024. He said, there's going to be a new wave of patriotism coming out. And that's whenever I saw Trump and I saw the, I saw a red wave coming out of, um, Michigan. And then I saw Oklahoma and there was embers of people and they were all on, um, these, these, they had torches all throughout Oklahoma. And they were raising up these torches that looked like fire and they were bringing forth a new patriotism upon the nation. And it was coming it was being birthed and it just kept spreading like fire all throughout America, all throughout. And I saw Trump rising up.

And then I saw an attempt on his life, uh, that the, this bullet flew by his ear and it came so close to his head that it busted his drum eardrum. And I saw, um, he was, he fell to his knees during this timeframe and he started worshiping the Lord. He got radically born again during this timeframe. I'm talking, people say he's saved now, but he becomes really on fire for Jesus, for what I saw coming. And, um, then I saw people interceding when he, and I see him, I saw him winning the presidency, uh, through great, uh, the Lord showed me it would go clear into the summer. Great persecution would come on him through the judges and through the, um, through the law and all these people trying to sue him and all this stuff, but there would be a stop to it. And there are things would start to break free, come toward the fall. And then I saw him winning, uh, the election, uh, through, uh, the Patriots coming out and voting. And then, and then, and then there will be a great economy crash.

I saw they had a great economy plan, a crash worse than the, uh, the, uh, great depression. And the Lord warned me about this. It would be a great dark time, but I saw paddles coming upon America's soil, like a shocking of the soil. And I saw Donald Trump praying in the office of the, of the oval office and he was weeping before the Lord with his hands on his head like this, but he was weeping and there was ministers and people, I don't know if they're senators or Congress people or whatever.

They, I just saw them pacing and back and forth inside of the, uh, the, um, the white house, uh, and sorry, the, the, uh, what is the white house, but it's the oval office and they were interceding all inside there. And I could feel the presence of the Lord so strong on this. And then I could see that darkness that was the heaviness upon America with the, with the, um, the, uh, the financial crisis of what I saw coming. It started to lift above the trees and I saw the blue and the, and the things coming back out in the green times and the good times coming back again. But the Lord said it would be forth as a time of a season of, um, a shaking and it would be a shakening to awaken. And, and in this, this would, uh, uh, basically that he was not done with America.

There would be a great revival come and there's, it's, it's not all doom and gloom as we said. Now I'm not familiar with Brandon Biggs, but he went on to say that God called it a correction and not a judgment, but this is what he said he received from God, a prophecy in March of 2024. So I am not saying that you should embrace this.

I'm also not saying to dismiss it. He mentioned the, the eardrum of Donald Trump being ruptured in this prophecy. I don't think that happened. I'm not positive, but I haven't heard that report, but I thought it would be interesting to, to take note of what he has said. And I guess time will tell whether this is a prophecy that will play out in the way that he says God gave it to him. But before we wrap up for today, I just want to share a few more things as far as how things have, have been building up to this event of what we saw take place because here is Tucker Carlson.

He predicted six months ago that this thing would happen. They called him names. He won anyway. They impeached him twice on ridiculous pretenses.

They fabricated a lot about what happened on January 6th in order to impeach him again. It didn't work. He came back, then they indicted him.

It didn't work. He became more popular. Then they indicted him three more times and every single time his popularity rose. So if you begin with criticism, then you go to protest, then you go to impeachment, now you go to indictment and none of them work. What's next? I mean, you know, graph it out, man. We're speeding toward assassination, obviously. And no one will say that, but I don't, I don't know how you can't reach that conclusion.

You know what I mean? Like they have decided permanent Washington, both parties have decided that there's something about Trump that's that's so threatening to them. They just can't have it.

So that was toker Carlson. Now here's a montage of the left's constant calls for violence. I just don't even know why there aren't uprisings all over the country. Maybe there will be people need to start taking to the streets. This is a dictator. You know, there needs to be unrest in the streets for as long as there's unrest in our lives. Enemies of the state. Show me where it says that protests are supposed to be polite and peaceful.

Do something about your dad's immigration practices. You feckless. They go low. How do you resist the temptation to run up and wring her neck? Biggest terror threat in this country is white men.

Most of them radicalized to the right. I thought he should have punched him in the face. I said, even if you lost, he insulted your wife on the escalator and called Mexicans rapists and murders. He said, well, what do you think I should have done? I said, I think you should have punched him in the face and then gotten out of the race. You would have been a hero. I'd like to punch him in the face.

I said, if we were in high school, I'd take you behind the gym and beat the hell out of him. Punch some people in the face. When was the last time an actor assassinated a president? They're still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump.

And that's a fact. Look as his character is stabbed to death. Where is John Wilkes booth when you need him? I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the white house. A Missouri state Senator is under investigation by the secret service after saying she hopes president Trump is assassinated.

I will go and take Trump out tonight. And sadly, the domestic enemies to our voting system and our honoring our constitution are right at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. They're not going to stop before election day in November and they're not going to stop after election day. And that should be, everyone should take note of that on both levels.

That this isn't, they're not going to let up and they should not. Take a look at what happened. So folks, as you saw and heard, there were those who were in positions of leadership in our Congress, all the way up to our white house over the years that have made this constant calls for violence. And so it shouldn't be a surprise to us that someone decided to act on that to the point of an attempted assassination. We saw it during the George Floyd riots where there were those encouraging people to go out and riot.

We saw it during those clips. And what has taken place is there's fear mongering versus policy. When, when we see someone that can't win on policy, then they stoop to a personality assassination.

They stoop to fear mongering and they they're calling Donald Trump Hitler and calling him a Nazi. And Joe Biden said, it's time to put Trump in a bull's eye. And folks, there's no place for that type of thing.

And this is what we have. We almost had this man's life taken. And unfortunately there was a life that was lost, two lives that were lost because of this type of rhetoric. So folks, what we need to do as a nation, we need to unify under Jesus Christ, put all of this hate and division aside, anyone who desires Donald Trump to be dead, you have a dark, depraved heart, and I'm praying for your repentance because I've been in the presence of professing Christians who would not condemn the shooting, but instead pointed the finger at Donald Trump because of his past transgressions. Folks, that should not be in our hearts. We need to come together. We need to have love. We need to have peace. We need to look to our great Lord Jesus Christ.

So that's going to close it for this week. I want to thank you for tuning in. May God bless our nation and please come back and join us next week as we continue to discern the times by viewing life through the lens of the Bible. Until then, remember to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, bless God's great nation of Israel and to the only wise God be glory through Jesus Christ forever.

Amen. Thank you for tuning in to Discerning the Times. Please come back and join us next week as we continue to encourage you to view current events through the lens of the Bible. Until next time, remember to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, bless God's great nation of Israel and seek first the kingdom of God. Discerning the Times is presented by blessings to Israel.
