Because with every fix, update, and renovation, it becomes a little more your own. So you need all your jobs done well. For nearly 30 years, Angie has helped millions of homeowners hire skilled pros for the projects that matter. From plumbing to electrical, roof repair to deck upgrades. So leave it to the pros who will get your jobs done well.

Hire high quality certified pros at angie.com. Our daughter, Jessie, loves playing detective. A clue. But since we discovered she has sensitive skin, we've been playing detective too. We thought the problem was our puppy. But it was actually our old detergent.

Aha. So we switched to Tide Free and Gentle. Tide Clean's better than the leading competitive free detergent, and it doesn't leave behind irritating residues. Plus, Tide Free and Gentle has no dyes or perfumes, so it's gentle on her skin. Case closed.

If it's got to be clean, it's got to be Tide Free and Gentle. Alrighty, how you doing? It is the Zach Gelb show, hour number three of our radio program. If you are a fan of Team USA and you care about the basketball in the semifinals, it wasn't looking good up against Serbia. We were on the precipice of seeing an enormous, and I mean an enormous, upset. And Team USA would have got lambasted in America and around the country.

Every show that talks sports, whether you like basketball or not, would have been eviscerating Team USA if they would have lost to Serbia. Well, it got close. It got really close. But when needed to, Kevin Durant stepped up, made a big shot. When needed to, Steph Curry obviously was phenomenal. He had 36 points in the game, was 9-14 from 3, 12-19 from the field, and that LeBron James fella had a triple-double, 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Joel Embiid had 19 points as well. USA does advance. See, Jason Tatum didn't play in the game.

Now, to say if they would have lost, you know, it had some people saying, Oh, well, Steve Kerr, why didn't you put Jason Tatum in the game? So, great effort by Serbia. US is off to the gold medal round where they'll go up against France. I don't know what the line is. I haven't gambled on anything Olympic-related.

I have not. I'm just not a huge Olympics guy. But I may place a wager on the gold medal game. I don't know what the spread is. I don't know if there's an early spread out there yet. Mike, maybe if we could look it up and see if there's an early spread out there for the gold medal game.

And I have a tough time, whatever that number is, seeing myself not hammer the US and just lay the points with the United States. This was the coffee that they needed because now you're off to the gold medal and it's the last round. And you were lucky, lucky to win this one.

Anywho, we are, we're still out today. It's been a rotating cast of characters on this show, but in the summer we have grown to actually enjoy, which is a good job by management, putting the right people in the right spots, Peter Nicholas Scarlatos. And some people may be saying, who the heck is this Peter guy?

I haven't heard a second of him on this show. And quite frankly, up until three weeks ago, I had no clue that Peter was his first name because I know him as Nico. Right, Nico? You introduce yourself, you say, hey, I'm Nico, correct?

That is correct. So when I get an email from you and it says Peter, I'm like, who the heck is Peter telling me what minutes I have sponsored and giving me information about our show? I'm like, I've never met someone named Peter. So why do you go, is your dad named Peter? Yeah, so my grandpa and dad are both named Peter.

So you're the third? No, because they don't have the middle name Nicholas. But my dad really wanted to name me Nico. He just wanted to keep the tradition of Peter going.

So he's like, let me do middle name. So why did he make your middle name Nico? Why did he go Nicholas?

Why would you just go Peter Nico Scarlatos? I guess he wanted to do like the Greek spelling is N-I-K-O-L-A-S. What's your favorite Greek dish, by the way? I don't really eat Greek food.

How do you? Well, because we're also Italian and I love Italian food. What's your favorite Italian dish?

Penne ala vodka. Okay, now there used to be a very large man that used to work here on this network. They have since moved him down the hall.

His name is Sean Marash. Now I have seen him eat, I like rigatoni ala vodka better, but tomato, tomato. But I once posted rigatoni ala vodka for my favorite Italian restaurant on Long Island, Menino's. And he was like, oh, real Italians don't eat rigatoni ala vodka. And then I was at his house once and he was serving rigatoni ala vodka. So that was like the the shtick of one Sean Marash.

I think he's now back in the good graces. Well, he can't pass up rigatoni ala vodka, but I do love rigatoni ala vodka. My favorite dish, though, is lasagna first. And that's a you'll see. How long have you been here for? At the station? Yes.

A year, a year and a half. Okay. Were you here? So you were here for last Thanksgiving? Yeah. But I don't think you were working any shows, right? No, I was out doing tape operator. Yeah.

So this is a yearly thing on the network starting in like late October. I speak for real Americans and I speak the truth for real Americans that no one actually likes turkey on Thanksgiving. And if you do your brainwash into the traditions in my family, we make lasagna the main dish. So that's my favorite thing is lasagna.

But after that, I am a huge fan of rigatoni ala vodka. Whenever you go to Italian restaurant, my dad will like look at me like, oh, I know what you're getting. Recently, though, I had some gnocchi and oh, man, it was delicious. It actually the I don't know how to describe the gnocchi that I had. Like there was so much sauce on it and all this other stuff. It was just the diaper actually could be even better than the rigatoni ala vodka. I think it's like tortellini, but like potato instead of cheese. I know what it is. Oh, I know what it's like if you just say gnocchi. OK, there's like there's different sauces and things like along the lines of that.

I don't remember like what what actually sauce and how it's how it was prepped. But yes, you are correct on that. By the way, the line for USA is fourteen and a half against France.

That's telling you people go look at that plus the points, plus the points, plus the points. I'm going to lay the number on that. But anyhow, in our conversations throughout the summer with Nico, I'm not just saying this because he's wearing a Michigan shirt.

Which is good taste. But I've been very impressed with your football knowledge. I will say I don't know. If we are like making like when you got hired here, they didn't make you take a test or anything, right?

No. OK, I'm just making sure. Because recently there have been guys that have been hired here, guys and gals. And I've been very impressed with their football knowledge. Like Chris Hess, you know, creeps me out with this Penn State fandom a little bit. You know, he is a Penn State sycophant cult member, but very knowledgeable about college football. Nico Scarlatos, who some people may officially know him as Peter Scarlatos. Very, very, very, very, very knowledgeable when it comes to college football. Like who's the person that trained you the most overall here?

Is it Hickey? No, early on, it was Carlos and E.J. And then in here on the board, it was Alex, who was I don't think he's a big football guy. He's more like soccer. Azarm? Yeah, I was going to say I was like, Alex, who the heck is that? Oh, Azarm. OK, gotcha.

I just called by his last name. So, yeah, no, he's a huge soccer fan. So anyway, I've been a person of college football knowledge. So I thought maybe I thought maybe Hickey was training because Hickey, even though his takes are always wrong when it comes to college football, he's very knowledgeable about college football. Yeah. So, yeah, you've seen a lot of Hickey's cold takes, right? It's kind of like a running joke around here. I think everyone should just start fading Hickey when it comes to college football picks.

And we would all be rich. You know, Tom DeCelesino, Bill Ryder's producer, has done that. He's been able to put his kid through daycare just fading Hickey's picks. It's phenomenal.

DeCel tells me his kid's going to the finest daycare ever because he just takes whatever Hickey tweets out and bets the opposite. But anyway, cue up the music because we're going to do a little draft here. And we are going to do a college football draft of the top 10 quarterbacks in college for this upcoming season.

I'm going to be nice since, you know, you were on my show today and you've done a very good job filling in this summer. I'll let you go first. Take the first pick. Who do you want? Oh, I wasn't ready for this. I was torn between two guys.

So I was thinking if you had the one pick, maybe I'd just get the other guy. I hyped you up a lot. You can't suck in this segment.

All right? You've got to be good in this segment. I just hyped you up for the last seven minutes. See, when I first got here, Scott Ferrell, the legendary Scott Ferrell, he was on before me when I did the Weekend Overnight TV Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Eastern.

Then I did 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Eastern time. And Ferrell comes out of the studio during the break. I got to clean this up how I say this. And he goes, Are you Zach?

He goes, I just gave you the greatest introduction ever. I just hyped you up for five minutes. Shake it up. Hey, kid, don't bleep it up. It's Ferrell on the bench right here.

Carver High Mafia, CBS Sports Radio. That's what Ferrell did. So I basically just hyped Jeff up. Ferrell once hyped me up. I didn't mess it up.

So now you don't mess it up. All right. Here we go. I haven't done the Ferrell impression in a while. That really hurts your voice.

Hey, it's Scottie Ferrell. Shake it up. All right.

What do you got? I was torn between two guys. I'm not going to say the guy that I'm not taking. In case I take. Right.

Yeah. But I am going to go with Dylan Gabriel. I think he's in the perfect situation going to Oregon. They have to be arguably the best team in the country.

Definitely one of the top three, in my opinion. So give me give me Dylan Gabriel at one. OK. Dylan Gabriel is in my consideration. But the first guy I thought of was Carson Beck at Georgia. I think Carson Beck or Dylan Gabriel will win the Heisman this year. I'm leaning towards Carson Beck because I do think George is going to win the SEC. When I look at Oregon, I think they're going to come in second in the Big Ten. And I do have Ohio State finishing first in the Big Ten this season. So I will go Carson Beck.

Now, this is a snake trap. See, I gave you the first pick. It's only a two person drafts I wanted. I see what you did there. The next pick. See?

A little tip there. The next guy I will go with. Was Carson Beck your guy? Just wondering. It was not.

OK. I feel like your guy is Jackson Dart, but I'm not picking Jackson Dart. I'm picking Quinn Ewers. Quinn Ewers, I feel like is underappreciated because everyone wants to see Arch Manning. And I know Arch is now in his second season there, but his first year he played well and he got hurt. Then the second year at Texas, right, has him in the college football playoff, also got hurt.

And now we have Texas in a conversation of potentially winning a national championship. So I will go with Quinn Ewers. You get two picks. Give me your first pick here. Was Quinn Ewers your guy?

Quinn Ewers was my guy, so great pick. I will go with another guy that I'm really high on after what we saw from him last year. Give me Jalen Milro. Now, I know there's a change at coach in Alabama this year, and I honestly think that Kalen DeBoer is going to make Milro only better. Because we saw what we did with Pennax at Washington, and I see Jalen Milro being really, really successful this season. Then my other pick is going to be Jackson Dart.

Wait, now hold on. Before you give me that pick, which I just heard it, give the pick, let me react. Give the pick, let me react. Jalen Milro is a phenomenal pick, and I think he's getting slept on, and I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Sabin, we all know, right, is the GOAT. But DeBoer, I think, is going to improve Jalen Milro as a quarterback. So very good pick. And now Jackson Dart, that's who you're going with? Jackson Dart is going to be my other pick.

I think when we did the Heisman draft, maybe like a month ago, I had Jackson Dart as one of my picks. I'm really high on him and Ole Miss as a whole, to be honest, this year. I think Lane Kiffin is going to make them a playoff team this year. And they're a sleeper team in the SEC, right, because it's Georgia, Bama, and Texas that everyone's talking about. I think Ole Miss is a sleeper team in the SEC. I don't think they win the SEC, but they could make some noise and maybe get to the championship game.

So it's weird. Everyone's high on Ole Miss, but no one's picking them to win the SEC just because of the respect that you have for Georgia. No one's really picking Alabama, I don't think, to win the SEC.

Some people may take Texas. So it's weird to call them a sleeper team, but I understand what you're saying because no one's really picking them to win the SEC. But they are like a top ten team in the country. They got to make the college football playoff this year. Those are one of those teams in a four-team format. No one's going to crush you for not making the college football playoff. You don't make it in a 12-team format. That's a problem.

Alrighty. My next pick. This is a guy, if his coach didn't leave, everyone would love this team.

But his coach left, a lot of players did say. And that's Arizona's quarterback, Noah Fafina. That's who I am going with my third selection. And then my fourth selection, as Rick Ross would say. Do the Chador Sanders. Oh.

I don't have a watch, though, on my wrist, so it doesn't really work. But I will go Chador Sanders at Colorado. So, right now, Nikko's first pick was Dylan Gabriel. I then selected Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers.

Nikko then took Jayla Milro and Jackson Dart. I then selected Noah Fafina and Chador Sanders. So I'm four picks in. You are only three QBs deep. Give me your fourth quarterback in this top ten draft. Alright, we'll go with the guy that really brought a team out of nowhere last year.

I don't think anyone thought that they would be as good as they were. Give me Jalen Daniels at Kansas. I really like the Jayhawks to continue the uptick that they've been on.

Bouncing off of last year, coming into this year with some positive momentum. I like Jalen Daniels from Kansas. The only problem with Jalen Daniels, and I think he has a tremendous, tremendous upside. But as you saw last year, that guy gets hurt a lot. And that's been the story the last few seasons.

I like Lance Leipold a ton, but he gets hurt a lot, and I just question if he could actually stay healthy. So, alrighty. I was not expecting Daniels to go in the top ten. Top twenty, sure.

Top ten, I wasn't expecting it. So who's your next pick? That was the wild card. Yeah, I'll go with the guy that, I think he's in maybe year six now.

He's been around for a really long time. And we saw guys last year at this age succeed with Bo Nix and Michael Pennix Jr. in their sixth year. Give me Cam Rising from Utah. Great pick. I'm not saying people forgot about him, but because he got hurt, people don't remember how good Cam Rising is. So, I have three potential selections here. Only one picked up.

Cam Ward is a thought. Niko, not Scarlatos, but Iyama Liava. Right? I think I got that right. Niko, Iyama Liava. Tua Tungo Vailoa. DJ Ui Unga Lalei. Niko, Iyama Liava. I feel like I can say that like Italian kind of.

Iyama Liava. So he's under consideration. And then Garrett Nussmeier at LSU. I like Cam Ward a lot. I do.

But it's the U. I like the U, but the U hasn't been good in a long time. I'm going Niko, Iyama Liava. So that's the final quarterback that I will select there.

Alrighty. I was surprised by your Jalen Daniels answer. Not that I disliked it, but I just with the injuries, that's a concern for me. But the top 10 order when you combine Niko Scarlatos, not Niko, Iyama Liava and Zach Gelb's list. One, Niko did select Dylan Gabriel.

I then had two and three. Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers. Four, Niko selections. Jalen Milro. Five, Jackson Dart. I then selected Noa Fafita, six. Shadore Sanders, seventh. Niko then goes Jalen Daniels, eight. Cam Rising, ninth.

And then I had Niko Iyama Liava, tenth. Alrighty. There's the top 10 list right there.

It is the Zach Gelb show on the Infinity Sports Network. We will take a timeout. When we come on back, I have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten teams in the NFL.

And I will list my biggest concern for those 10 teams when we come on back. Trying to figure out what to eat for dinner yet again with Northside's Emboulion as your not so secret ingredient? You can do this when you Angie that. It is that Yelp show on the Infinity Sports Network. You know, we have talked to Nico before on this show, but that was like the first big extensive airtime with Nico and kind of a little bit of an isolated spot. We're getting some good reviews on Nico.

Spencer in the YouTube chat says Nico could be the next hickey with less hair product. Wow. That's terrible.

That's not that terrible. Do you even comb your hair? I mean, I comb it, but I don't put anything in it.

You don't put anything. Hickey is like gel gave birth to gel. And then that that gel gave birth to more gel. I've never seen someone put more gel in their cabeza than than hot take hickey. Or it could be wax, actually, if we are being fair.

I use, you know, whatever hair I have left, like a little wax to just comb it over and stuff like that. But hickey probably marinates himself in like wax and just gel. There's no doubt about it. But now you do have some hickey tendencies, you know, similar body structure. You know, both of you guys have like a little bit of a higher pitch voice and you guys are college football freaks. So definitely things that are similar, except you like winners, though.

Hickey's a you know, he likes losers is the bottom line. All right. Anyway, you have compiled a list here of 10 teams in the National Football League. And I will give you my biggest concern for those 10 teams.

So hit the big voiceover guy whenever you're ready. The Atlanta Falcons. My biggest concern for the Falcons is the quarterback problem that they have created for themselves. They are a team that are expected to win the NFC South. They should win the NFC South.

Anything short of winning the NFC South is an abject failure. But with that being said, Kirk Cousins is coming off a major injury. And with Kirk Cousins coming off of an injury and you drafted a quarterback, even though you just paid Kirk Cousins $180 million, I think $100 million of it is guaranteed.

There is going to be some rust. And if the Falcons aren't playing well and you know, Kirk Cousins is a good quarterback. But if he's not able to knock that rust off quickly and let's say you're one in three out of the gate, there's going to be calls for Michael Pennix Jr., who is NFL ready. So my biggest concern with the Falcons is, how long does it take for Kirk Cousins to knock the rust off of being out midway through the season from a year ago? They start their schedule.

It ain't easy. These are their first five games. Pittsburgh to start off the season.

The Arthur Smith revenge game. He's not the OC of the Steelers. Then they're in Philadelphia. The Falcons, I feel like, never win in Philadelphia. Then they play Kansas City. Now, the next two teams aren't great teams, but they're divisional games and divisional games are always tough. You then get the Saints and Tampa Bay. The nice thing is that four of those five games are home.

But you have three of those games in prime time. So Kirk Cousins struggles as a national broadcaster. I'll tell you what the national broadcast storyline will be. Kirk is struggling. Will they go to Michael Pennix Jr. even though they just signed Kirk Cousins to a four year deal? Some fans in Atlanta want to see Michael Pennix Jr. on the field.

That will be a storyline. So it's how long does it take the rust to get knocked off for when Kirk Cousins? The Baltimore Ravens. My biggest concern for Baltimore is their offensive identity.

Last year in the AFC Championship game, the game plan Todd Monken had, he should have been locked up in charge for football crimes. Quite frankly, you got to run the ball more. Now you have Derrick Henry and you have Lamar Jackson, who is a better passer than what people give him credit for. But his strength is running.

Let's be clear. And last year in the AFC Championship game, they didn't use his legs as much as they should. They didn't utilize the short passing game as much as they should in the screens.

And they didn't run the football enough. So are the Ravens just trying to win? Which they haven't done with Lamar, win a Super Bowl.

Or are they trying to win a certain way? Because it seemed like at times last year, even with their success, and they dominated some teams. They kicked the crap out of the 49ers in the regular season. The Lions, really good teams. But then in the playoff time, I think they tried to win a certain way. And when you have home field advantage and you only played one good half and that was the second half up against the Texans, it's a disappointing end to your season.

So it's the offensive identity of the Ravens. It's simple. They used to tell you in school growing up, kiss, keep it simple, stupid.

Keep it simple, stupid. Do what you do best. You don't have to win a certain way. No one cares how you win just as long as you win. You win a Super Bowl, no one's going to be like, oh, they ran the ball more than they threw the ball.

No one's going to do that. So don't try to throw the ball more than you need to. Next team. The Cincinnati Bengals. Health of Joe Burrow. When Joe Burrow is healthy, he's in the AFC Championship game bare minimum.

We've seen it four years. Two season ending injuries. The other two in the AFC Championship.

The other year in the Super Bowl. It's all about the health of Joe Burrow. The Dallas Cowboys. The concern for the Cowboys is the future. You have Micah Parsons wanting a new deal, not a new deal.

You have C.D. Lamb wanting a new deal. Didn't get his new deal. Dak Prescott wants his new deal, which I read today.

And Dak's good, not great. He'll probably get sixty million dollars a year. But I read somewhere today, I think it was via CBS. That there is a chance that Dak, if he continues to be patient, can sign 70 million dollars a season.

Like, what are we doing here? It was actually from Athlon Sports. Oh, man. Oh, it's from Mike Fisher. So I actually know who Mike Fisher is. Mike Fisher has covered the Cowboys for a long time.

This is not one of those. Who is that guy? Steve Cordon or Corder or whatever the guy name was. But that was the headline that I said today. On the way to Dak seeking a highest paid player ever offer, one NFL source tells cowboyscountry.com that with patience, Prescott value will hit 70 million dollars annually.

And then he wrote, really? 70 million dollars annually. So I don't know how they got there, but that's what Mike Fisher was talking about today. And then Mike McCarthy, by the way, is in the final year of his contract. So the four, four to the five most important people on your team, right? Star wide receiver, star edge rusher, star quarterback, the coach, and then Zach Martin, right? I would say that those are the five most important people in the Cowboys organization. And you got four guys that have been dealing with contract issues with no resolution insight.

So I would say the future and how many guys are thinking about the future instead of being locked in on the present. The Detroit Lions. It's their defense. Now, their defense made timely stops last year. You know, offensively, you got St. Brown. You got your mere Gibbs. You know, you got the tight end from Iowa, La Porta.

Like you have more than enough. Penny Sewell locked up taking care of Jared Goff now has been a very good quarterback in multiple spots. But can the defense be good enough? That's my concern with the Lions.

I like Hutchinson a lot. And that defense made some stops when they needed to last year. But when you have that lead in the NFC championship game, you got to finish the deal. So my concern is, will there be a little bit more balance between the offense and the defense? The Houston Texans. Sophomore slump. You had last year a first year head coach. You had a rookie quarterback and you had a rookie star edge rusher. Now, they improved their team this offseason. Sean Pendergast earned just the other day.

And he talked about us. Stefan Diggs has been the best training camp player. That's positive. Even though I'm not big to praise people off training camp, but that's a positive. You bring in Danielle Hunter.

Stud. You know, you bring in Joe Mixon. You know, they got better this year and they're going to be more experienced this year. But the division's also better. Jags will bounce back. Cults are good.

Tennessee. I don't think they'll be great. I don't even know if they'll be good, but they've been aggressive this offseason. You know, I know that they've suffered some injuries with the Hopkins, but you got Ridley. They traded for the Jerry Snead and paid him. You know, they've I don't know why they brought in Jamal Adams, but they did. They brought in Diggs as well.

So they've been aggressive. Tony Pollard as well this offseason. It's a very good division. When you have a lot of success, I don't think the success is going to be too much for the Texans. But there's always that worry about a sophomore slump. Los Angeles Rams.

It's really healthy. That's my concern with them. We've seen Stafford get hurt.

We've seen Cooper Cup get hurt. So I look at that team. I don't think enough people are talking about the Rams.

I really don't. This is a football team where everyone wants to talk about, obviously, the Niners, the Eagles, the Lions. And then, oh, who's that fourth team? And it's, yeah, you got the Packers, right? My fourth team in the NFC is the Rams. I, you know, and I like what they did in the draft.

The Corum and Fisk and Verse, you know, Pukka and Nakua, you know, what he did last year was sensational. But he's now week to week with an injury. So it's like, are they the injury bug Rams or are they the Rams from a few years ago? Because when they're healthy, even without Aaron Donald, now who's retired, they're really damn good. But the injuries are the concern for me with that football team. The Miami Dolphins. Defense.

That's my concern. There's three concerns with the Dolphins. Can the quarterback win a big game? The offensive line and the defense. But the defense for me, even though I don't think Tua Tungavailo is a Super Bowl winning quarterback, the defense is the biggest concern because you got two guys that suffered injuries late in the season that are great football players. Jalen Phillips, phenomenal. Bradley Chubb, really damn good.

But like I said about Kirk Cousins, how long does it take them when they do return to knock the rust off? Because the offense has so much talent. They are loaded on offense with talent. Odell Beckham Jr. Say what you want about him. He's the third wide receiver on the team.

Third wide receiver on the team. So defensively, they got some guys, even though they lost Wilkins. But they have some guys, but those two edge rushers are enormous. And they're the difference from that team winning or losing a playoff game.

And it's when those guys come back, how much gas do they have left in the tank off the injuries? The New York Jets. It's the line. I feel like with the Jets, you could say this ever since Joe Douglas got there, which is crazy because, you know, I know Joe Douglas a little bit from Philadelphia. And oh, he always builds a great offensive line. The Jets have been building their offensive line for six years. So the line has improved this year.

You drafted the kid from Penn State. You brought in Smith like they have improved that offensive line. There's no doubt about it, but the linemen over from Baltimore that used to be with the Jets, they've improved that offensive line. But is this offensive line just improved or is it good? That's my biggest question because if Rodgers off an Achilles is running for his life, that's the one thing that could really slow down and derail the Jets season. The Philadelphia Eagles.

Coach quarterback relationship. What is it? Because I read that article yesterday. There wasn't a lot new in that article outside the Wink Martindale excerpt where Jalen was calling Wink Martindale.

There wasn't a lot there. A lot of it, though, was rehashed and I didn't like the quarterback's response. Jalen hurts his response yesterday.

Kind of get in testing with the media like, oh, why is this coming up now? Well, that's something that follows you in your ten and one. You have an historical choke job. That's that's just the reality of the situation when you are terrible, terrible down the stretch. And the team was terrible. The team collapsed. And now, like the coach, the head coach is hands off on the offense.

OK, you could say that's that's him adjusting. But are you even having any real communication with your coach outside of just a training camp, driving around with him in the golf cart and making it look like everything's all right. So they have the talent to win a Super Bowl. The Eagles. No one will question that. The Eagles have the talent to win a Super Bowl. But can Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni coexist?

Because if they can't, guess who's out of a job. It's not Jalen Hurts. It's not Howie Roseman.

It's Nick Sirianni. All right. Those were the 10 teams and my concerns with those 10 teams entering this season. You know, I was going to ask this to you earlier, Marco, because we were talking about the Eagles today, but we had a guest on and we were up against it for the update. So I wanted to circle back here. So we have a few minutes. You know, I said this before to you. Like, I think you're the accountability guy around here where, you know, I've said this to you in the past as well. Like, if I was your child, I know there's no B.S.

thing with dad. If you're wrong, just say you're wrong. Admit you're wrong. It'll go for you.

Yes, it will. Yeah. So what do you make of the whole Tim McManus article with the Eagles and rehashing the stuff from last year? And now the future relationship of Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni, because it seemed like Sirianni has done his part.

Right. He dressed the team, said last year was on me guy, tried to create an accountability kind of situation. But with Jalen Hurts, who like you never were afraid he would say anything wrong at the podium, how he handled yesterday. And then when things are losing, I'm not saying you need to be rah rah, but I think you need to be a little bit more vocal. And I think he stays the same when he wins and the same when he loses.

That's a little bit of a concern for me because it feels like Hurts has just totally blamed all last year on Nick Sirianni. Yeah, I don't. They stay the same. I don't mind the steadiness. That's OK. That's good.

And especially in a city like Philadelphia, that's good because you're going to get ups, you're going to get downs. I want you to stay the same if you're the quarterback. And let me just clarify something. Maybe that's the way he presents it to the media. Maybe it's different in the locker room, but I feel like he needs to be a little bit different in the locker room. Well, see, and that's the thing.

I want you. It's funny because I would want you to be steady and the same in the locker room. Guys know. Guys know when, you know, when they say like, oh, no, nothing bothers him.

They know if that's the facade that you're putting up or if that's legit, if that's real. Jalen Hurts, I would like to think that it's real, that that's the steadiness. That's the leadership stuff that we talked about.

Coach's son. All the things that we praised when they went to the Super Bowl. I'd like to think that that's still there when it doesn't go well. Now, some of the the talk, though, is that he kind of tuned you out when he doesn't like what he's hearing. That's a problem. That's a major issue. I can't have my leader tuning out what he doesn't like. No, no, no, no, no.

I need you to soak all that in. What did you say? Tune you out. Oh, what did you say?

Sorry. That's a problem. You can't you can't have it both ways.

You can't. And that's an issue if the leader is tuning out negativity or anything that he perceives as negative. That's a problem. I also think that it's a little bit of an issue that it's coming from Nick Sirianni. And again, this is from the outside and not being in the locker room. But Sirianni is one of those guys that right or wrong likes to talk. Oh, yeah.

And he loved it when you were winning. And now all of a sudden it's going to be, well, I'm trying to take accountability. You should have took accountability when it was going bad last year. Don't worry about it now. Last year at the time. What's nice to revisionist, but it's a problem when your leaders are not there in the moment.

That's when it's actually important. The one thing I'll look back at the game against Seattle, where Jalen Hurts improvised down the stretch and he just chucked it up. I think it was the A.J. Brown and it got intercepted and everyone's like, why did you try to go for it all there? And he sat at the podium.

He said, look at them. He's like, oh, we're trying to draw pass interference. In reality, he was protecting his quarterback because he knew what he called what was called and the quarterback improvised. So I thought that was a good moment of leadership.

But it's like that's bare minimum for me. OK, that's just your quarterback. If you're the head coach. What exactly is the point of throwing your quarterback under the bus at that point? Now, we're not talking about a guy that you're not sure about. We're not talking about a young player that you're trying to tell your back. This is your guy. You know who he is.

He made a mistake. Do I need to Blair? Sure.

So to me, that's bare minimum stuff. The whole point of a coach and the whole point of an organization is to be like the parent. You know what's supposed to be done. Do the right thing. But but here's the thing, though.

I know what my my parents do. Right. I don't know what Nick Sirianni does now. You had a delegation I understand is important, but you handed over basically all the power to Kellen Moore in your offense. You're having limited conversations reportedly with your quarterback. You're taking a more hands off approach at Vic Fangio brought in to run your defense.

Again, you're not an offensive minded guy. It's like I'm looking at Sirianni. You can't let the locker room crumble. And you did so last year. So that's his goal this year. That locker room better be awesome.

And that locker room's not awesome. He's out. That's it.

That's it. That's the whole thing that he knows he's out if it doesn't really work out this year anyway. And again, it's not about, well, you know, do you have to win a wild card game to win the divisions? It's about how this team performs and how they play. And if there's a disconnect, what's his relationship with the quarterback? And if there's the disconnect with Jalen Hurts. But he has set himself up, which is surprising, in a situation where he's almost kind of make or break and he's put a lot of in-betweens between him and the rest of the team.

So he better figure it out to have the pulse of every one of those guys because his only job is to get them to play hard on Sunday. And isn't it crazy? When he took over this job, everyone was like, with that first press conference, they're like, oh, who's this guy? He's a disaster. He's made the playoffs all three years. Year one exceeded expectations. Year two exceeded expectations.

Starts off ten and one and then face plants. And now we're talking about him in the hot seat. And again, and that's crazy. And when you look at it in a bubble, it makes no sense. But when you look at it a little closer, I think last year, even the crumble could have been, I don't want to say excused, but it's understandable. Sometimes things go bad.

You got injured. But you cannot have a locker room that's looking at you going, what's going on? A quarterback who's tuning you out. These are not good situations. That's not something where you can't have your quarterback and your head coach not on the same page, especially when your head coach is an offensive type guy.

That's an issue. And you brought, instead of getting closer where you're going, I'm going to be calling the plays. I'm going to be on top of it. We're going to be working together. You brought in somebody else and was like, you're going to run this. So I'm just going to stand back and watch because obviously our relationship is not good. So instead of it getting worse, I'm just going to step out and walk into the other room. You guys handle it. And then on Sunday, I'll make sure that everybody's okay.

That's an issue. And if Kellen Moore and Jalen Hurts are not simpatico one through week one through 17, Nick Sirianni is going to be one that pays the price. You know, yesterday I was talking about Belichick. I was talking about Harbaugh. I was talking about Vrabel to coach the Eagles.

Take the Yankee hat off, Marco. You could coach the Eagles. Well, it seems like anybody that can get the locker room together can coach the Eagles because nobody else is doing anything. Nobody else is doing, he's not doing anything else. And that's, again, you can do that. You can just be a leader.

The problem is that's the one thing that I haven't seen Nick Sirianni do well. And that's going to be a major problem, especially if your quarterback has a tendency to tune out what he doesn't like. You better really sit down and have a true man-to-man, heart-to-heart where it's like, look, no BS. Let's figure this out. I appreciate that, guys, as my birthday is tomorrow as I turn 30. I will say I thought there was an error in the system. I was about to say, come on, Nico. I just hyped you up.

I know you're rather newer working here. Like, what the heck is going on out there? And then I'm like, oh, this is happy birthday. This is like a creepy version. At least it's not like happy birthday, Mr. President. This is a very creepy version of happy birthday.

We can fade that out. I appreciate the sentiment and everything. But thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I turn 30 tomorrow. I don't know. It's a little bit weird if I'm if I'm being honest, you know, getting very old back in my jet.

No, I'm not going to do that stuff. But anyway, I wanted to spend two minutes here talking about Nick Foles. Let's listen up to Nick Foles. This is him announcing his retirement today. And he's going to retire as a Philadelphia Eagle.

This is the quarterback known as BDN. It's crazy to be in this moment looking at this camera, officially announcing my retirement from the NFL. It's been such a special privilege to play for Philadelphia, St. Louis, Kansas City, Jacksonville, Chicago and Indianapolis to the fans of the NFL around the world. Thank you for making the game so special. You are the ones that bring the energy in the stadiums.

Thank you. Specifically, thank you to the Philadelphia Eagles fans from 2012 when I was drafted to 2017 when I came back. You truly made playing in Philadelphia the most special experience in my football career.

Was that like a violin in the background? I love how he named all the teams like stunk everywhere but Philadelphia. But it's one of the more bizarre NFL careers you've ever seen. He went on a two game run where he played as good as any quarterback has ever played in the NFL up against the Vikings and then the Patriots. Brady threw for 505 yards wasn't good enough for them to win the Super Bowl. Now he was a Pro Bowl MVP in 2013. He once threw seven touchdown passes in a game against the Raiders I do believe.

But if he wasn't in Philadelphia the guy just wasn't good. It was wild. And as impressive as winning the Super Bowl was, the following season they were back in the divisional round that if the ball is caught by Alshon Jeffery went right off his fingertips into the hands of a Saints player they're back in the NFC championship game.

Which is absolutely crazy. I did man on the street interviews with the Eagles won the Super Bowl and the art museum is right next to my apartment. And I interview Eagles fans after they won and they call Nick Foles BDN. I can't explain what that means on the air but if you know you know and a fan. Made a poster. You know like you kids usually like make posters and and go to games and stuff. It's a parade.

It was like it was probably 20 years old or some 21 years old. He made a giant condom and he goes I want to give this to Nick Foles for his nickname of BDN. And that's how we will end the show today. Congratulations to Nick Foles on the more bizarre careers and incredible stories in NFL history. Nico thank you.

Moist Mike thank you. I am out tomorrow. I'll be back on Monday. Could always give me a follow.
