Our daughter, Jessie, loves playing detective.
A clue. But since we discovered she has sensitive skin, we've been playing detective too. We thought the problem was our puppy. But it was actually our old detergent.
Aha. So we switched to Tide Free and Gentle. Tide Clean's better than the leading competitive free detergent and it doesn't leave behind irritating residues. Plus, Tide Free and Gentle has no dyes or perfumes, so it's gentle on her skin. Case closed.
If it's got to be clean, it's got to be Tide Free and Gentle. The following program is sponsored by What's Right, What's Left Ministries and is responsible for its content. Portions of the following program may be pre-recorded. I am Pastor Ernie Sanders, the voice of the Christian Resistance. Stay tuned, my radio broadcast, What's Right, What's Left is coming up right now.
Coming to you live from Independence, Ohio. We change our life for the better in many different ways. Heard around the world every Monday through Friday. Pastor Sanders is always years ahead of the rest of the media telling you exactly what they're covering up.
This is What's Right, What's Left. I tune in every chance I get to hear exactly what's going on with the voice of the Christian Resistance. Unabashedly cutting through the rhetoric by exposing the hard topics facing our society and world.
A lot of the other news media don't pick up the news items like he does. And bring into light the enemies of freedom who are out to steal your rights, your children and enslaving you. You really get the truth out. I can tune into your show and hear the unvarnished truth.
Thank you. This is What's Right, What's Left with Pastor Ernie Sanders. Good afternoon, good evening and welcome to another edition of What's Right, What's Left, the voice of the Christian Resistance movement. And tonight my producer who's outstanding in his field, out there, none other than Kenny. Good evening pastor. And live in the studio here, I have from right to right because we don't have any left, even the loud here are tolerated. No.
No. Lobbyists for Citizens with Brian Massey and Citizens Against Property Taxes, and that's Leonard Gilbert. And then we have the studio man, Little Lisa. Good evening everyone. You guys supposed to say good evening. Oh, I'm sorry. We missed the cue. Good evening. Thank you so much for inviting us. We have a lot to get to tonight, so we're going to get right into the message.
The title, before I do that, something even more important here. Miss Carla Valente went home to be with the Lord. Carla has been ill for so many years, for many, many years. And, I mean, she suffered a lot. And her husband, which is a dear friend of mine, Pastor Mark Villani, he was so loyal, right there, with his wife, every minute, never would, you know, he, that is what a marriage is all about.
That is what the kind of marriage that I have the most respect for. So I just want to say that our most sincere condolences go out tonight to the family of Carla and Mark Villani. Mark, Carla's not sick anymore.
She's not. And, brother, it's time for you to take a rest. God bless you. You've been such a loyal husband and a loyal pastor to your flock.
We love you, brother. And so, the title of the message tonight was The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. And so, we're going to start there in 1 John 2, verses 15-17. Now, for the most part of my years of preaching, I preach topical messages, always relevant to current events, with few exceptions.
Of course, the exceptions being when I preach some exegetical messages in the last couple of weeks. And so, tonight, this message will be on three different topics. The good, the bad, and the ugly. And we're going to take a look at the biblical perspective and the biblical definitions of the good, the bad, and the ugly. But we start in verse 15, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
If I was to ask you about that, Phelan's right there, what he just said. Did he say, don't love the world too much? Did he say, you know, love the world, you know, as little as possible? Or did he say, love not the world, period? In the Bible, that's called a commandment.
The biblical definition of a commandment is a rule imposed by God, a rule imposed by God. So he's telling you there, that's an absolute. Don't love the world. And so we're going to take a good look at the definitions of the world there, too, because the world here, when you look at it, we're going to see three parts of this here in verse 16. But the world is a system. It's a system of possessions, it's a system of positions, and it's a system of pleasures. And he goes on to say, for all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father, but it is of the world. So, if I say the lust of the flesh, that deals with the body. Can you guys give me some examples of what the lust of the flesh would be?
Can you call it last night? I mean, that would be any kind of physical attention, eating, drinking, anything that you can do to kind of give yourself some bodily pleasure. Right. Well, let's just say with bodily pleasures there. And then the lust of the eyes, what would that be? I say because the lust of the flesh, the body, the lust of the eyes, what is the windows to your soul?
Your eyes, windows to your soul. So, those are things that you would see would be sensual, right? And today, I mean, it's hard to go today when you go down to the beach. It's not like it used to be. The women, many of them, especially the young ones, they're almost naked. They're running around there naked, okay?
It's not even just the beach either, though, nowadays. You can just go to the grocery store and some of them are half naked. And leave nothing to the imagination, really.
It's totally exposed. You know, I remember sitting there and sitting on the blanket, you know, just going to take a little nap. And my wife says, oh my gosh, you ought to see what's coming this way. So, I get up to see, don't look at that, she says.
After she drew your attention to it. Take your soul. It was a trap. Yeah, right.
So, I can't believe it, but that's the way it is. But anyhow, then when you got the pride of life, okay, now, that has to do with your spirit, the pride of life, okay? What always comes before a fall?
Pride. Yeah, and that's kind of devilish. And so, he goes on to say, and the world passes away, and the lust thereof, but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever. Now, do you know that the world right now is in the process of actually passing away? The world is winding down. It's what we call law of increasing entropy, right?
Yeah, Leonard and I say we are an ungodly society, we are an uneducated society, and the lack of morality is actually killing our society. Oh, it is. It absolutely is. But now we're seeing some things that are changing and changing for the good, okay? Remember, it was just a couple years ago, at the football game, I stopped watching the football games when they started taking the knee.
Oh yeah, 100%. That was the same way. Yeah, but then, now they don't take the knee. Now, they're at Ohio State. They've been having prayer meetings, actually baptizing people there, the revival. Oh yes, I saw that.
Boy, that's a big difference in just a couple of years. I think the Super Bowl half-times, they still have a long way to go, I understand. I don't watch them, but I've told the immoral acts on the Super Bowl. They're trying to send a New Age, a New World Order satanic message, they really do. Here, I know, remember that one they did with Michael Jackson, I remember watching that the message was you had the globe and you had all the children, but you had the rainbow, and it was all this New World, Antichrist order stuff. Well, it's interesting to me that you started out with the commandment there in 15, love the world. Leonard and I, as we move forward in what we are doing, people ask us, well, why are you doing this?
Why are you continuing? He says it's very simple to us. There is a commandment, to love thy neighbor. It's not a suggestion, so all of our efforts really is to give glory to God and to love thy neighbor and to make sure that our average citizens are not used and abused.
Well, another way you can say it is not the cause of righteous cause. I've been in the pro-life movement. In fact, I was in the beginning with Dr. Wilkie way back when we got started there, right when the pastor O.B.
Wade. I did a number of television shows, and with the opposition, we would be in the opposition. I remember one time, this woman Carol who ran a bloody abortion mill says, what will it take to make you stop? And I said, you know, I never thought of stopping.
I said, I know what it will take when we finally shut you down. And we did shut down there on Blood Alley. They actually had five different abortion mills.
We shut them all down, but one preterm is still there. But the cause was the righteous cause, right? That's right. So we want to take a look at here, when we take a look at the three, the good, and we start with the good. So what are the biblical definitions of good? And that starts with obedience and compliance to God's law, okay? And so then we say, well, what is God's law?
Well, God's law is made up with one is commandments, and we see that with rules imposed by God. That's the definition of biblical. And then God's judgments.
The biblical definition of God's judgments is an authoritative opinion, a decision, or a sentence of justice. And then we take a look at God's ordinance, and I mentioned this before. This is where people get really messed up that are not biblically literate.
Mike Adams, the health ranger, he really messed up on Romans 13. He was condemning the apostle Paul for being a traitor. He totally misunderstood what Romans 13 was saying, okay? And Romans 13 talks about legitimate. It's dealing with what is legitimate government.
Legitimate, okay? And here he missed the whole point. He came across with the opinion that the apostle Paul was telling you, you had to obey the government no matter how corrupt it is.
And that's the farthest thing from what it was talking about. So the biblical definition of an ordinance is a regulation established for proper procedure of the law. It's a regulation established for the proper procedure. And then a precept. When we look at what a precept is, it's a very specific charge, a very specific charge in a statute. One of the first statutes we saw was in Genesis chapter 9, where the Noahic covenant, where God gave us the five points of divine human government, okay? And the very first point, of course, obviously, was to whom it was given, and you find that in Genesis 9 verses 10 verses 11 and 12 verses 15 and 16, to all mankind for perpetual generations, an everlasting covenant to all living things.
And that actually spans all the dispensations, okay? But the second point was the intent, and the intent was man was to govern for God. Man was to govern for God. And the third point was the means by which man was to use to govern for God, and that's what we just went through here. The commandments, the judgments, the ordinances, the precepts, and the statute comes in the third point. The third point is the most important point, and we're talking about legitimate, divine legitimate government here, but we don't have that. And so the third point you find in verses 3 through 5, and that's the statute of the death penalty, because the entire purpose of divine human government was to preserve the image of God. It says, he gave man dominion over the environment.
He kept dominion of man for himself. Therefore, whoever destroys the image of God has to forfeit his life. And that holds today in people. Somehow, people think that, well, maybe God has changed his mind. I mean, certainly, God has to listen to the courts, right?
I mean, this is the mindset you have. Unfortunately, it's in the pulpit, too. But see, we tell people out there, because America's national sin is killing children, you know, abortion. God says, when you kill your baby, you destroy that child, you deserve to die and burn in hell. That's what God says, okay? And so when you tell people, oh, that's, you tell people that that's kind of inflammatory rhetoric, isn't it? I mean, it's in that, where's your mercy? Oh, that's a little harsh.
Over the top. Too bad. Yeah, I mean, but you see, and I tell them, but see, God said that. It wasn't me. I didn't write it. I'm not that old, right, kid?
I don't think so, no. God said it, okay? And then we take a look at the biblical definition of a statute. It's a specific rule of law, a specific rule of law. And then when we take the biblical definition of the law, it's an authoritative rule of conduct, an authoritative rule of conduct.
So that includes all of those that we just read into the law there. Well, there's a basic problem, though, that we have, is that many citizens, a huge percentage, don't even read the Bible. And then the other problem is we've got preachers that are not preaching the revealed Word of God.
That's the vast majority of them that are not. That's true, and we witness it. And that goes along with what we see exactly what Scripture says. I mean, we're right there in 2 Timothy 3, Romans 1. You know, the vast majority, like it says in Isaiah 56, verses 10, are like dumb dogs too afraid to bark there. But I praise the good Lord, because the Lord always did the most with the fewest.
There you go. But why have the citizens lost discernment of what's between right and wrong? Judgment begins in a house of God, and in that house it begins in a pulpit, and that's where, you know, if you start looking... Some years ago, many years ago, back in the 70s, I was doing programs about communism in the church, how communism was coming to the church. And that's exactly... Yes, we've said that too, that unfortunately many of the citizens in the United States were socialists, and we don't even know it. And then you say, well, what's the difference between socialism and communism?
And my response is really just the size of the gun. It's really the basically... It's the same. Yeah, you're right, and that's what's happened there. But I remember back in the 60s when that German Enlightenment movement came in. Oh yeah. And here, and I remember people like Jim Dobson said, oh no, because the preachers and these so-called psychologists were teaching that the pastors had to learn to get in touch with their feminine selves, their feminine parts, right? Oh yeah. I remember that movement. Oh yes. Yeah. And I was a little confused because, you know, I didn't have any feminine parts, right?
Yeah, yeah. But that's when it all really started, I mean, it actually started back even in the 40s with the communists, but that's when it really took off back in the 60s with the feminizing of the pulpit. I mean, they've accepted a lot of your major denominations. By the way, denominations are not biblical at all. But they have accepted women as pastors.
Oh my gosh. And the Bible speaks very clearly. God hasn't changed his way, okay? But see, the average person out there doesn't realize this, okay?
No. There's things that are happening right before their eyes and they're clueless to it. Because they don't know the word of God.
Absolutely. Because of biblical literacy, that's it. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
For knowledge. He tells you in Isaiah, chapter 3, God gives you incompetent men and women as your leaders for punishment. Oh, yes. They give you women as your leader for punishment, okay? Well, what's happening now, though, is many of the men are not stepping up. So in leadership positions, the women are stepping up to take the men's place, that they won't come on the front line. Well, I get often asked, well, pastors, don't you think there's any good women? Well, yeah, there are some good women. I'd rather have a good woman and a strong woman than a poor man, right? A weak man out there, I guess. Definitely. But like the Bible says, the Bible says the righteous are as bold as lions.
Too many of these pastors are prissy as prissies. We're going to stop there and we're going to go to a break and we'll be back right after this. This is an emergency kind of warning, folks. We need to pay close attention to this because we need your action. We need your action.
Take her away. Is there any chance that Canada or China could also get out of the tariffs after you start to deal with Mexico? Well, nobody's out with Mexico. We had a great talk with Mexico and we had President Schienbaum is a woman.
I like her very much. We've had good relationships, but we have to stop fentanyl from coming in, whether I like somebody or not. And we have to stop the illegal aliens from coming in. I think we've lost 200,000 people on average a year for many years, much higher than the 100,000. Could be even closer to 300,000. And they've agreed to put in 10,000 soldiers permanently, like forever, 10,000 soldiers at their side of the border and stop fentanyl and illegal aliens from coming into our country.
They have a big incentive to do. Other than that, we've agreed to talk and consider various other things. We haven't agreed on tariffs yet, and maybe we will, maybe we won't, but we have a very good relationship. I also spoke with Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada and we had a good talk in the morning, but I did ask him a couple of questions like, you know, banks aren't allowed to do business in Canada. Canada is very tough. Canada is very, you know, we're not treated well by Canada and we have to be treated well.
Banks are not, as an example, allowed. Did you know that? That banks, American banks are not allowed to do business in Canada. Can you believe that?
And that's one of many things we talked about, and I think we'll win most of the subjects. But for some reason, a lot of things have been very unfair with Canada. I noticed that in the first term, you deal with people and after a while you begin to realize, like you learned that Larry Ellison is very tough to do business with, okay? He's a very tough guy. I mean, I'm sure you're shocked to hear that. But Canada is very tough. They're very, very tough to do business with, and we can't let them take advantage of the U.S. They don't take our agricultural product for the most part. They don't take our cars. They make cars, but they basically don't take our cars. And, you know, we don't need, and look, I think we're going to have another good conversation today.
We're actually speaking at 3 o'clock again. But we don't need them to make our cars. We don't need them to give us lumber. We don't need them for agricultural products because we have all the agriculture we need. They don't take our agricultural product for the most part, our milk and dairy, et cetera.
A little bit they do, but not much. We take theirs. And as far as cars are concerned, they took in a big percentage, almost 19 percent of the market. And, you know, I wouldn't mind making our cars in the United States, so we have a problem there.
I'd like to make our cars in the U.S. We don't need Canada to make our cars. With that being said, we're going to have another call at 3 o'clock. We had a call this morning.
It was a pretty good call, I'd say. So the call with Mexico went very well in the sense that they're very strong now on the border. They're going to put soldiers there. Actually, they're best military soldiers, and they're going to be at the border, 10,000.
That's a lot of soldiers. And they want to protect it also. You know, they want, they don't want people running through Mexico, coming through Mexico to come into our country. So they're going to do that. And then we're going to talk about other things over the next, and we're going to have, over the next 30 days, we're going to have Scott, Howard, and Marco, Marco Rubio, secretary of state, lead the delegation. And we're going to have a big negotiation with Mexico. I'll be involved, too, and President Scheinbaum will be involved to see whether or not we can work something out on the tariffs. Alrighty, there you go.
I'm back here with Brian Massey and Leonard Gilbert, and they're out to save you guys some money. They don't believe that property tax are lawful taxes, and the reason for that is that's what God's word in the Bible has to say, right? That's correct. But now, right now here, when you just heard Trump, we have a leader. We have somebody in the White House that's actually there to do his job, okay? And he wants to do away with income tax, okay? Because before we had the income tax, people owned what they earned was theirs, right?
That's right. And like he was talking about, there's ways of doing that with tariffs. And, you know, I think the only tax that I think would be fair taxes would be, oh, I don't know, consumption tax, maybe. But, you know, in other words, taxes on things that you buy, but it's got to be a fair tax, right? Everyone gets it the same way. The lawyers have come up with all these little gadgets and these loopholes and all these devices, okay?
Made it so complex no one understands it. That's the point, and that's what they're doing with our property taxes. The property taxes, there are people who's in their homes because of these high taxes, and there's no justification.
And I'll let you guys take it from there. Yeah, from what Leonard and I believe, we've said this for quite some time, that the foundation of our freedom and liberty is property ownership. And this property ownership allows families to get out of poverty.
It allows the transfer of wealth from one generation to the next. When we speak in front of groups, we ask them how many people actually own their own home, meaning mortgage-free. Invariably about 80% will raise their hands, and we say, we're sorry to inform you, you do not own your home. You're merely renters from the government because of the property taxes. And what is happening is in our schools, 60 to 70% of our property taxes are going for schools, and we've done an awful lot of reviewing of financial numbers of the schools, and there are no checks and balances. The schools are, the way that the state legislators have structured the financing for the schools, they are going to, if they're something called a 20 mil floor, which really gets, it makes it mandatory that we pay at least 2% for the school funding.
It's unfortunately much more than that. But what we have, we've been saying since 2015, if we stay on the path of ever-increasing property taxes, we're going to price seniors and those living on fixed income out of their homes. As we continue to delve into it, we see that the actual property valuations, it's now done, certainly in Lake County, by a third-party appraiser. That third-party appraiser is controlling the lives of, you know, 230,000 people in Lake County, and they're not accountable to us.
When we try to find out, well, how did you come up with evaluations, they say that's all proprietary information, we can't tell you. It's not acceptable. So Leonard and I have been marching along. We've come to the realization, we have spoken to some representatives, and I do want to give them a shout-out because Brian Stewart from District 12, Jennifer Gross, District 45, and the newest legislator, David Thomas, from the Ashtabula-Trumbler District 65, they have been very gracious with their time, and they have listened to us. And it's more than what we can say for, you know, our Representative Troy and Callender and Senator Serino.
They're not meeting with us. So this representative democracy that we talk about is really just an illusion. Our goal is the actual elimination of the property tax.
Now, when we tell people that, they say, oh, Brian, that will never happen. Well, maybe not in our lifetime, but what we are doing is we are trying to save the next generation and the generation after that, because if we stay on this path, we're already socialists and we don't know it, because we're saying that we must pay for everyone else's child. And then they say, well, and we're saying, we think things have to change, because it's not sustainable what we are doing. The schools are continuing to raise their needs for money.
It can never be enough, because there's no one that's throttling back. They're adding administrators, teachers, and there's no one that's looking out for the financial interest of the individual taxpayer. Leonard, you got anything to say? Yeah, one of the things that's really interesting, Brother Sanders, is that when we go out and talk to people, when you mention the word liberty and freedom, it doesn't even ring a bell, because the abnormal has become normal.
Yeah. And what I was trying to tell people is that when you get right down to it, from a biblical economic standpoint, we're breaking all kind of laws of biblical economics, and there's consequences for that. So if I look at the federal, and I notice Trump hasn't said much about the Federal Reserve, which is another ungodly system, but anyway, getting back to where we're going. Well, actually he has. He wants to put his back on the gold standard, and he wants to eliminate the Federal Reserve.
Well, he's said that, but he has been really quiet. But also behind the scenes, they're also playing with cryptocurrency. And that's another no-no. But anyway, what I was trying to tell people was that if the state's budget is like 50 to 60 percent coming from the federal, all right, and the federal is out of control. What I'm trying to tell people, if you don't own anything, you're vulnerable to the government. So you're basically a slave right now, and if you don't recognize that, then the freedoms that you think you have, you really don't have any, because like I said, you're at the whim of the government. And that's where we are right now, but most people don't understand.
Well Leonard, Leonard, you haven't been listening to Klaus Schwab. Klaus says, don't worry, you're going to own nothing, and you're going to love it. We're going to move you all in. You're not going to have, you're not going to own homes.
You're not going to, agenda 2030, you're going to live in apartment buildings 33 stories high, and we're going to take away your property. And so the elite, this is, It's happening, it's happening. Well, yeah, and we can push back, we can eliminate. Now, let me ask you this, do you remember that fellow Samuel in the Bible? Oh yes. And when the people, when Israel came and they said, when the princes said, we want a king, we want a king like the heathens, okay? And Samuel said, have you lost your mind? Yeah, and so Samuel took it to the Lord, and the Lord said, listen, they didn't reject you, they rejected me.
That's what's happening, that's what's happening, right? And Samuel, and the Lord said to Samuel, go tell him that when you have the king, he's going to tax your property. He's going to draft the young men into the army, he's going to draft the women as maidens, and he's going to tax your property, okay? What we are also concerned about, again, in Lake County, we just did a study looking at the taxing authorities and the amount of property taxes collected from 2015 to 2025. There's been a 33% increase, an increase of $127 million in 10 years have been extracted for the county government, the municipalities, the schools, and libraries. So all of these, there's 46 different taxing authorities in Lake County. And the problem is, one of the problems is that 40% of the people do not even get their property tax statement. It's sent to the mortgage company, and all they get is a notice from the mortgage company, your taxes went up $200 a month.
And they say, well, why is that? Well, it was your taxes. But they have no idea that there's 46 different, you know, taxing authorities, and I did a study in my taxing district, I had over 35 different tax levies. Many people, believe it or not, they do not correlate when they go to the voting booth, and they vote for that tax levy, they don't know that that actually increases their taxes.
We were blown away. When we were trying to collect a petition, people were saying, well, we've got to vote for the schools because we've got to do it for the children. We say, well, do you know the proficiency scores? Do you know what is actually being produced when many of these kids can't read or write? Well, no, they're clueless. And then they also say, well, we've got to vote for the tax levies because we've got to keep the value of our homes up. They don't correlate that increasing home values to increasing the property taxes.
It's like spiraling downward. What do we do about that? First of all, what we need is if we could get a real legitimate independent audit, an independent audit, okay? They're not going to let that happen. Are they going to try to stop it, right?
No. Well, what they're trying to do is there's something like 40 or so different bills. Well, the last two years, they formed a committee. Lender and I went down and we spoke to the committee, the Committee on Property Tax Review and Reform. And believe it or not, when I spoke, they censored my speech. Halfway through my speech.
Oh, I believe that. Halfway through my speech, what they did is they played classical music over my talk and what I was telling them that Willoughby-Eastlake School District was going to get over $8 million without a vote of the people. And I said, also, I think there's been some deceptions when outside millage is treated like inside millage. And if people understand what inside millage is, but there is a maximum amount that the state can collect on inside millage. The legislators got around that and they're very good at getting around something in the Constitution because writing in the ORC and say, well, if it's a joint vocational school, we can collect 2.0 mills and it's not subject to House Bill 920. So what the legislators are do, they see a problem and they'll write away some sort of way around it.
And it's a deception and people are just not aware of it. Well, what do we do about that? Well, what we're going to do is a group of us throughout the state of Ohio. Leonard and I are continuing to speak to groups. This Monday, we're going to talk to Geauga.
Next month, we're going to be speaking out to Lorraine. You're going to be a Judge County Tea Party. Geauga County Tea Party, right. And then we'll be speaking to Lorraine County Tea Party, Portage County Tea Party.
And there's another one that we've got. That's down in Canton. Down in Canton. They will be speaking down in Canton. So what we're going to do, when we go to these groups, we're going to have a petition. We're going to ask them to sign.
We're going to need 412,000 signatures and we're probably going to have to get 500,000 just to cover those that are not accepted. For the abolishment of the property taxes. And now many people, you know, many people being, whether it's the Buckeye Institute or Ohio Christian Alliance, they're all saying, oh no, let's just tweak it around the edges. We're saying, no, you have to fix it once and for all for the next generation. If you keep saying, originally we started, we said let's eliminate the property taxes for seniors and many of the representatives that we spoke to said, no, we can't do a carve out because that will just shift the burden. We said, okay, now how about eliminating the property taxes for schools? There is $11 billion that are collected from the local property taxes that could be replaced by a four and a half percent sales tax. So do we give people an immediate relief? Because again, the property tax bill for the school, for most people, is between 60 and 70 percent of their tax bill.
That would be an immediate relief. But the pressure that the state legislators are under is from the school unions. And all of their lobbyists, the reason that they like the property taxes, it is a definable amount.
They can actually reverse engineer. If a school needs a certain amount of money, they can work with the auditor to manipulate that to get the resources that that school needs. Now everybody is saying, oh no, that doesn't happen.
Well, call me skeptical, but when I see $8 million coming from Willoughby Eastlake, those are the people that are at the, the schools are at the 20 mil floor. It's not right. It is just not right, Pastor Sanders. And we're going to call them all out, is what we're going to do. Well, what is the time limit on that petition?
We can go on forever. I mean, we don't think we can get it on a November ballot, but we're going to keep doing it. There's other groups in other states.
We're talking to a young lady in Michigan, Carla Wagner, that has been doing it for four years, Leonard. We know Texas, and we just saw an article that Pennsylvania is now trying to eliminate the property taxes. Because people say, this is my home. And we're telling the government, keep your hands off my home.
Yeah. And one thing we wanted to make clear to people, because they panic, because they say, oh, we've got to take care of the school system. And I tell people, first of all, I'm not responsible for educating your child, nor is the state. That's your responsibility. God has given you that responsibility to train your children.
So now there are different mechanisms to do that. We chose the home school, just church schools. There's other mechanisms besides trying to send a kid to school and paying now almost close to $14,000.
Yeah, there's Lake County. We've got Wycliffe is $19,000. We've got three or four of them up in the $18,000, $19,000. And the highest per-pupil cost is in East Cleveland. Now, according to the CUP reports, $44,000 per pupil they're spending. And what happens is the schools are increasing their offerings to the children. Right now, not only do we feed them, but now we want to provide the medical care and ultimately be dental care. And I understand that many of the escalating costs in schools is the – maybe I should mention signature health, which is all of the mental health issues.
The number one expenditure for Lake County government is going to crossroads, which is another mental health issue. So what are we doing to these children when we try to tell them there's more than two genders and all of that nonsense? And that is creating additional burden on the taxpayers that we're saying, we shouldn't have to pay for that.
Well, you're absolutely right. People, again, like you say, I've sent my children to Christian schools, homeschooled. We started homeschooling.
And in fact, I was one of the pioneers in the state of Ohio back with the homeschooling movement. And you're absolutely right that way because the government, when they have funds, let's just say – and this is a common practice – if they get so much in taxes and they have a surplus, well, they'll spend that instead of saving it, instead of returning it. Oh, they're not giving it back. Right. No way. No, that doesn't happen. Yeah.
Right. And what we do find is when there are no entities within the local government to look out for the financial interests of the taxpayer, what happens is all of these entities, these taxing authorities, schools being one of them, start to accumulate masses amount of money. We've got places like Deepwood that have $65 million. We found even the crime lab in Lake County has got $8 million. Metroparks, $30 million.
There's never enough. And you've got Lake Tran, although they don't do property taxes, they've got sales taxes. They've got like $61 million available. So it's the mass – no one ever thinks about giving money back to the taxpayers, not even a thought. In fact, I found in Lake County, they had over $5 million sitting in an account for over 30 years, overpaid property taxes. And I said, why don't you give it back to the taxpayers? Well, that would be a good idea, but we've never had the resources to give it back.
I said, that's not an excuse. What it is, they're able to take that money, that $5 million, invest it, and the commissioners were able to spend the interest income. And that's what they want.
Okay, so right now the atmosphere out there, look, what Trump is doing here with this doge, the atmosphere is the right time. You see so many of these federal agencies where they're doing nothing. You have one of the federal agencies that actually said, anyone who applies for money, give it to them.
And this is just absolutely crazy. But the way that works, though, you see, is the people that work there for these agencies, they tell their buddy, listen, you know, if you have this thing, I can get you a loan. It wouldn't hurt me, maybe if 10% of it came back to me. That's the way it always works that way. And just like people think that Joe Biden gave the Taliban $85 billion worth of equipment, he didn't give that to them. There's always deals being made.
The Biden crime cartel doesn't do anything for nothing. Oh, the big guy got us cut. You got 10%. The big guy got 10%. Right.
And so it always works that way. But right now, we have a guy who's actually in the White House that actually wants to do his job. And this is why they hate him so much. The Democrats, they're really up in arms because, in fact, remember in his first term, I remember there were two senators saying, if he continues to keep his promises, they're going to expect all of us to do that. Wow.
Can you imagine that? Well, I just heard, it was on The Steve Bannon Show, that he's absolutely going to eliminate the federal Department of Education. Now, that's going to have ramifications at the state level.
And Leonard and I were thinking, well, maybe now the timing is right that if there's a drastic changing in the funding or how the funding comes to the state, maybe now is the time for the state legislators to roll up their sleeves and say, let's change this whole thing, rather than just saying we're going to increase the homestead exemption a couple thousand or that. Don't work around the edges anymore. Make some meaningful changes that can continue, not only in this generation, but the future generations.
And it can't be through property taxes. All right. We're going to be coming up to a break and we're going to play a clip here then in a few minutes. But you know what we should do? I'll tell you what, let's play that clip.
Do it now. Because it's a short clip and then, um, yeah. This is Trump's pick for health and human services. This is an absolute betrayal of the America first movement. Now understand this, what is happening here? RFK Jr. is the guy who's been exposing big pharma, calling out the corrupt medical establishment and fighting for your medical freedom. The terrible elite hate him. And now Cassidy is doing their bidding, stalling, hesitating, playing political games because he's been compromised.
That's right. Compromise. This is a direct attack on Trump's Make America Great Again movement. Make America Healthy Again agenda. If Cassidy doesn't vote yes tomorrow morning, RFK Jr. is done.
No confirmation, no appointment, game over. And it's not just RFK Jr. Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel, patriots who could rip the deep state apart from the inside. They are all under attack. The people need to rise up and they are.
Okay. The governor of Louisiana is calling him out. Before we go any further, watch this. Louisiana's own governor putting Senator Cassidy on blast for standing in the way of Trump's agenda.
Watch. Hello, Louisiana to all my hunters and patriots and great conservationists out there. This is an urgent message from your governor. President Trump's Make America Healthy agenda is under jeopardy right now by one of our own Senator Bill Cassidy.
He is holding up Robert F.K. 's confirmation to the secretary position and we need you to act now. We need you to call Senator Cassidy and tell him that you want him to confirm Robert F. Kennedy. Don Jr. and Hunter Nation are sounding the alarm. Spontaneous protests are erupting outside all of Cassidy's offices. Patriots are now mobilizing in Monroe, Metairie, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and Alexandria.
Hunter Nation is activating and they are not backing down. And guess who else just stepped up? Yes, Representative Chip Roy. This man is taking the gloves off and calling out the traitors in our own party who are blocking RFK Jr. and the rest of Trump's picks.
Watch. We the people. That's us, Louisiana. And right now, I need you to reach into Senator Bill Cassidy's office and encourage him to do the right thing by supporting RFK, President Trump's choice to run Health and Human Services.
It's an important part of the America First agenda and we cannot allow anyone to stand in our way. So please contact Senator Cassidy and encourage him to do the right thing. And now this. Breaking news. The Senate's voicemail system has crashed.
That's right. Let me show you this tweet. We'll put it up on the screen. It says breaking the U.S. Senate's voicemail system is currently down due to the sheer amount of calls demanding Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr., and Cash Patel be confirmed. My Capitol Hill sources tell me that they were receiving over 600 calls per minute. So keep up the pressure.
We are winning. Call your Senator at 202-224-3121 and demand they vote for him. Call Senator Bill Cassidy right now.
202-224-5824. Tell him to get in line or get out. Tell him if he backstabs Trump, he is finished. Tell him we will never forget this treason.
And this isn't just about RFK Jr., this is about whether Republicans actually stand for America First or if they're just more deep state swamp rats. The vote is tomorrow. We have less than 24 hours to stop this betrayal. Call Cassidy now. 220-224-5824.
220-224-5824. The people are in the streets. Will you join them? Will you take a stand? Will you let the globalists win? This is it, America.
Stand up, fight back, or get steamrolled by the deep state. This is Jerry Franchi signing off for the next Newsman. Alright folks, you heard that Bill Cassidy's phone number is 202-224-5824.
You really need to. We're going to a break and then after the break we're going to come back and we're going to open the phone lines and take your calls on property tax. We'll be right back.
