Good evening and welcome to another edition of What's Right What's Left, the voice of the Christian Resistance on this 13th day of October 2024. And tonight, on his way to becoming a renowned Bible scholar, my co-host and producer, Kenny. Hey, Kenny. Good evening, Pastor. I don't know about renowned. You're getting smarter every week.

This is true. Yes, I am. Okay. So tonight, the title of this message was When the Storm Came and the Wind Blew and the Floods Came. And we're going to start tonight in Matthew chapter 7, starting with verse 24. Now, you might have noticed that recently there's been a number of storms coming around the country. And there's more to come from what I hear. And that's what we're going to kind of take a look at tonight about where that foundation is. How do you survive this?

You know, different people have different ways of coping with disasters. And we're going to take a look at why that is. And let's start in Matthew 7, verse 24. Therefore, whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will elect him into a wise man which built his house upon a rock. Now, let's look at this verse very carefully, okay?

Listen, he says, Wherefore whosoever heareth, he's one, he's actually saying, one that actually, do you actually hear what he is saying? And he's saying, if one that actually heareth and doeth, will liken him into a wise man which built his house upon a rock. And when the rain had descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon the house, it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock. So he's saying here that those that actually listen to him, pay attention to what he's really saying here, will respond by being obedient to his words, the rock of their foundation, and to weather the storms of life. Now, his words are absolute truth, his words are absolute wisdom, his words are absolute knowledge, and the ultimate source of very good advice. And then he says this, And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man which built his house upon the sand.

And when the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon the house, and it fell, it was a great fall of it. Now, the foolish people consider the wisdom of God's words. You know, you've talked to people, sometimes you ever notice that, just say, well you know, God's word the Bible says, and sometimes their eyes will roll, oh not this, not another Bible thumper, he's bringing that Bible out, it's outdated, right?

You know? Or you'll get the, oh well, it all depends on your interpretation, and it's like, well no, not really, there's really no interpretation needed, it's laid out. Well, you're right, because the Bible interprets itself, doesn't, and so, he said, here are those that consider it a chore, and you'll hear things like, well no, now today, who needs God when you have the internet, you have AI, now AI can be our God. We have a social network today, but see, what happens though, what happened to those social networks there in North Carolina and Florida, they kind of got blown away, didn't they? Yeah, everything went down.

Folks aren't in touch with AI there, are they? And so when the storms of life come and tragedy strikes, like it has recently again for millions, I mean millions, the AI, the internet, the social media, your entire temporal world will be washed away, and that's what's happening. You'll be left alone, in your godless world, without the hope, and without the internet, or the eternal security, I should say, you don't get on the internet. Yeah, God's power is never down due to weather.

No, it's not. And even though when things seem their darkest, is God still on the throne in complete control? Absolutely. Now, do all things work together for good for those that love him?

Of course. And so now, a lot of times at the present, we don't, it looks like things are pretty dark, but... Yeah, sometimes it's hard to see. Yeah, because we only have the here and now, right?

Uh huh. You know, we can't, you know... You're never going to fully understand God's plan. It's not his will for you to understand, and you don't need to understand, you know? Well, what does he tell us about that, the reason?

He gives us a good reason for that. I'm not sure, I'm sure you know, though. Well, he says that his ways are so much higher than our ways, and there's actually information or knowledge that we literally could not survive. You know, there's things that are so far beyond our comprehension, you know, that God just gives us a little at a time. In other words, if you probably would compare the knowledge of God and the distance between God's knowledge and man's, and the difference between ours and a sand flea, probably the difference between God's knowledge and ours would be greater.

Oh, no doubt. Yeah, and so, that is what he's saying. So here, you know, this Bible that people hardly ever read. If they did read it, I mean, and understood, they wouldn't say the things they say like, Well, you know, that's just another book, or that's outdated, because the information that is in this is there with absolute authority, absolute knowledge. Well, let me read the next two verses. And it came to pass when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine, for he taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes.

So when Christ was teaching, he was teaching with absolute authority, with the absolute truth, okay, and absolute knowledge. He didn't say, he wasn't guessing at anything, was he? No, there was no hypothesis. There was no, I think this will happen. No, it was this will happen, this is how it is. And so, this was something that really bothered the Pharisees and scribes, because when he taught, he taught with absolute certainty.

And it kind of scared them, didn't it? Today, people like, you'll have to hear people say, Why does everything have to be black and white with you? Why can't you have a gray area? This is what you hear a lot today from people that want some kind of an out, they want some kind of an excuse, something that they can use to... Justify. Justify your right, their sin, huh?

And so, let's find out who these people are, because I know who they are, okay? Let's go over to Isaiah chapter 32, and in Isaiah chapter 32, starting with verse 1, Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. Now, here, this verse is referring to, well, obviously it's referring to a specific individual, the king who will rule in righteousness, and princes will rule in judgment. The word princess there would be the same word we would use as like legislators or judges, okay?

But it's referring to a specific time, and that's the seventh dispensation period, which is called the Golden Era, or the Millennial Kingdom, right? And so, who are these princes going to be that's going to rule in judgment with Christ? Would this be the saints?

Yeah, it would be us, the saints. And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest, rivers of water and a dry place, and as a shadow of a great rock in a weary land. So, he's referring to none other than the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings, huh? And so, during that Millennial Kingdom, things will go very well for us, won't they?

Absolutely. And so, in the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. Okay, so, what do you think that means? The eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears that hear shall hearken.

Well, let me ask you a question. Do you understand everything in Scripture, or is there things that you wonder about? I think, for the most part, there's always going to be something that you wonder about, but according to this, at this time, there will be no wondering. Okay, so, there's certain things that the Bible doesn't speak to. I get questions all the time. Some of it, the Word of God speaks to, others don't.

It does, but it doesn't speak a lot, or maybe really clearly. For example, one of the questions I get asked all the time is, will I see my pet? Will it be animals? Will I see my dog, Lucky? Will they be in heaven?

Another one I hear all I get from people is, well, if we're not going to be married, what's our relationship going to be with our spouses now? I mean, we're going to be there. You know, I mean, how is that going to be? Well, you know, I think the answer to that is, you know, we're all going to be brothers and sisters. But here, and the answer to the pest, yes, there's animals going to be in heaven, yeah. I would think.

Yeah. Oh, yeah, well, the Bible makes it clear that there'll be animals there. And so, here, you know, one of the questions I get asked is, is there going to be sex in heaven?

Will there be any sex in heaven? Well, you know. That should probably be the furthest thing from your mind when you get to heaven. Well, you know, but that's one of the questions I get asked a lot. And the other thing.

Of all the things, though, I mean, that should probably be the least of your priorities. Yeah. Yeah, well, yeah, there's a lot of things that people get asked, okay, that the Bible does speak to, but sometimes very vaguely, very vaguely, okay. One of those things is masturbation. That, you know, very vaguely not something you want to do a sermon on, okay.

Yeah. And so, I know one of the other questions is about cremation, you know, the Bible does speak to cremation, but not a lot, basically. Cremation was done, you know, and the Bible is a way of showing great disrespect. And so, anyhow, he goes on here to say, And the eyes of them shall see, shall not be dim. So now we're going to understand things in heaven. We're going to understand, during the limited kingdom, we're going to understand things that we have a lot of questions about now. In the ears of them that hear shall hearken. We'll understand what we're being told. And the heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge. And the tongue, now, what do you think that means, the heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge?

I'm not sure. Well, you know, sometimes we have people, and I have some very good friends, that make snap judgments. They act on things spontaneously without thinking them through, okay. They do things, you know, at an impulse. They do things at impulse.

On a whim, yeah. And that's not a good thing to do. It's not a good thing to practice. And so here now, they'll be thinking things out. They'll be thinking things through.

In other words, you know, they won't be doing such things at impulse. And the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly. Now, have you ever been to a point where you know what you want to say, you know what you want to say, but you can't find the words.

Yeah, you just can't get it out for whatever reason. Well, you can't find the words. There's other people that have a problem to pronouncing certain words or vocalizing certain things, okay. I know an individual, we both know this individual, who verbalizes her thoughts. She verbalizes her thoughts.

That's why she's always talking and never stops. And so here's how, when he said, and the tongue of the stammerer shall be ready to speak plainly. I knew a fellow, he wanted to be a preacher. He wanted to be a pastor and he wanted to be a preacher. In fact, actually, he wanted to be an evangelist and go and preach here and preach there. But he stuttered. I mean, he really stuttered. And he was so soft-spoken, a very soft-spoken guy. You know, sometimes he would speak so little.

You know, you have to say, you got to speak up so we can hear you. But his desire was to be a pastor. And the Bible says, the gifts that God gives us, if God gave us certain gifts, go for those gifts, you know.

Play to your strengths. Yeah, he really wanted to be, but he just was not cut out to be a preacher. But he was a good Bible teacher because he could speak slowly and very thoughtfully as he would make his points. And by doing that, he didn't stutter. And so he says here, and the tongue of the stammerer shall be ready to speak plainly.

This will all take place during the millennial kingdom. But then he says, and the vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churrel said to be bountiful. Now, when this was written, remember, the word liberal had a positive connotation, a positive connotation. A liberal was someone who was generous with their own property. Today, a liberal is someone who's generous with other people's property.

Okay, and other people's freedoms. But during the millennial kingdom, the vile person shall no more be called a liberal. Today, the vile person is called a liberal. If you're a liberal today, then that means, if someone says to me, I'm a liberal or I'm a Democrat, let's just say I'm a liberal or I'm a Democrat, and you knew nothing else about them, one, I would think, well, they're going to be pro-abortion, they're going to be in favor of killing babies. Two, they're going to favor pedophilia, they're going to favor pedophilia.

Three, very likely they're homosexual, okay, or lesbian. So all of these things, because, and by the way, that they would embrace hypocrisy. They would think that hypocrisy is a good thing, something to embrace.

Why? Because these are all the traits that you have today in the Democratic Communist Party. To them, lying is a positive thing. Today, us lying is repulsive. To them, lying is something that's a necessity and also something to be embraced, along with hypocrisy. Yeah, the better a liar you are, the further you can go in the Democrat Party. That's right, Adam Schiff, you know, like right now, Adam Schiff is heading for wanting to be the very best liar. Do you remember Time Magazine, when they wrote that article about Bill Clinton, and they said, not only is he a good liar, he's a great liar, and he's our liar.

They wrote that right in there. And so, to us lying, because the Bible says all liars have their place in Lake of Fire, huh? Okay, so, here, he goes on to say, And the vile person shall be no more called a liberal.

So that, during the Millennial Kingdom today, a vile person is called a liberal. For the vile person shall speak villainy, and his heart will work iniquity to practice hypocrisy. That's what we just said.

We just said that, right? Okay, and to utter error against the Lord, that's what we said earlier, where they roll their eyes, oh no, no, you know, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. In other words, he's referring to foolishness and ungodliness. Now, the instrument also of the churrel are evil. Do you know what a churrel is? Would that be the same as the liberal?

No. Well, churrels are liberals, usually, but no. A churrel is a miser. A miser is someone who is very, very tight, very, very greedy.

Okay? And so, he says, now, you know, I know some people that are mine. I know a fellow who, I mean, this guy was tight with his money. I mean, when it come to his money, he was as tight. On the other hand, if you were to ask him, look, man, I don't have a shirt and it's cold, he'd give you the shirt off his back. He would be generous, you know, in one way, I mean, and he would help you out, he would give you, you know, the last bit of food in his house, but at the same time, it was kind of a contradiction. I was going to say, that really doesn't make much sense. No, it don't.

And I'll give you an example of what I'm talking about. We went into a store in there, the Salvage store, and I was in the Salvage store and he was with us, and he had bought a candy bar at that Salvage store, and they only paid a dime, ten cents for this candy bar, just a dime. But when he had opened a package up, the candy bar was old, and it was, you know, it was a chocolate candy bar, but it had turned white.

Oh, discolored. Yeah. And so he wanted his money back for that ten cent candy bar. Okay. And the girl said, well, do you have a receipt? He said, no, I don't have a receipt, you know, and she said, well, I can't give you that dime back unless you show me a receipt.

That's my orders here. Okay. He threw a tantrum. Okay. And at the same time, like I said to tell you, this fellow, if you were hungry or whatever, that was a difference. No, the churro they're talking about here is different. He's a miser, but he's greedy, too. Kind of like an Ebenezer Scrooged character. Yeah.

Yeah. When the instruments of the churro are evil, he devises wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. In other words, he has schemes.

He's a schemer, and he tries to con people out of their possessions. And so here, even when the needy speaketh right. But the liberal devises liberal things, and the liberal things shall stand. In other words, here, we know what kind of liberal things that they devised today.

We just mentioned them. Everything that God's Word, the Bible calls us in, huh? Now rise up, you women that are at ease. Hear my voice, you careless daughters.

Give ear unto my speech. So now, what do you think he means when he says, rise up, you women that are at ease? Maybe ones that are kind of too comfortable with themselves. Complacency.

His complacency. Okay. Now see if this applies to the caliber of women we have. You know, I want to say praise God for the good ladies out there.

Many have listened to this radio program tonight. Without a doubt. Without a doubt. You know, the virtuous Christian ladies, you know. But today the caliber of women, believe it, is not the way it was when I was growing up as a young man. I mean, the fidelity is not there. A good woman is hard to find.

It really are, yeah. And that gets truer and more truer every day. He says, you careless daughters, give ear to my speech. Now, many days and years shall you be troubled, you careless women.

For the vintage shall fail and the gathering shall not come. Today I would apply this to feminism, especially feminism. These women, all that want to put their career before God and everybody else. They want to put abortion, killing their babies.

The right that they think that they have a right to kill their babies. These women are wicked. I mean, just wicked. And so he goes on to say, many days and years shall be, you shall be troubled, you careless women. For the vintage shall fail and the gathering shall not come. So he's talking about food.

He's talking about food and supplies and clothing and the economy, you might just say. Tremble ye women that are at ease. Be ye troubled, you careless ones. Strip you and make you bare and gird sackcloth upon your loins. These are not good things, are they? No, doesn't sound like it.

Okay. In other words, he's telling them, you know, he didn't see any repentance. What he's telling them is the sackcloth and stripping is a way of repentance. He's telling them they really need to repent.

They really need to repent, huh? Then he goes on to say, they shall lament, lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields and the fruitful vine. What do you think that means, lament for the teats? What do you think that means? That they kind of wish for the old days, you know, when they actually had all the comforts that they needed? Well, actually the word teats there is referring to their breasts and specifically the nipples of their breasts.

Okay. Okay, for they shall lament for the pleasant fields and for the fruitful vine. So there's three things there.

The fields means the grains and the vegetables and the fruitful vines means the fruit, the grapes and that. Now, but here, what is it that they get that's a necessity that they get from their breasts? The milk. Right. And so he's telling them there's not going to be any milk there, is there?

No, all dry up. Yep. Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briars, ye, upon all the houses of joy and joyous. So he's telling them, unless there is repentance, unless there is repentance, things are not going to end really well for you people, huh?

Uh-huh. And so let me ask you this, how would that apply to America today? Well, I think it's along the same lines where, you know, you get too comfortable and you're not repentant upon the sins, you know, for the sins that are committed and you get too comfortable when you stop heeding the laws of God. So the Bible says all nations that forget their God shall be turned into hell, okay? Do you think things are good in America today? Not necessarily. I mean, we have it a lot better than a lot of other places, but it's far from the best of times even in my lifetime. Is America more divided today than she's ever been?

I would have to say most likely, yeah. Oh, absolutely. She is more divided today than it's ever been. And wicked?

Mm-hmm. The Bible says God is angry with the wicked every day. I keep hearing these people out there, all these commercials they're running about a woman's right to kill her baby. You know, right now, millennial Trump, I'll tell you what, if she was attending our church, I would not let her take the Lord's table. She would not be allowed to take the Lord's table, okay, because of her position. I didn't hear what she said. She came out and she did the same thing. Now, I know why they're doing this, and I've talked about this.

This goes back. It's a political strategy. You had this with Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan was pro-life, but his wife, to get the woman's vote, she professed to be pro-death. Of course, they don't call it pro-death. They call it pro-choice.

Mm-hmm. Daddy Bush. With Daddy Bush, actually, we actually got more pro-life legislation passed under Daddy Bush than we did Ronald Reagan. Now, I heard Daddy Bush saying that he was pro-death until he had sat down and had a discussion with Reagan, and he said after listening to his reasoning, he said he could not be anything other than pro-life, right? He'd be better to listen to God, too.

Mm-hmm. But here, the same thing with W. W came out. W was pro-life.

We had a number of bills, legislation passed under him. But his wife and two daughters were adamantly pro-death. They actually would go on those different talk shows and be pro-death, especially his two daughters. And now, to have Millennial Trump, Millennia Trump do that, like I said, I've lost all my respect for her, you know? When she did that, that is absolutely, when you say it's a woman's right, a woman has to, that's not what God's word the Bible says. When she said it should be left up to the woman, the woman didn't get herself pregnant. And the Word of God takes precedent. Now, if I was Donald Trump, I would let her know, I mean, if my wife took that position, it would probably end up in a divorce. And God hates divorce, you know? Mm-hmm. And I could not live, I could not sit at the table with someone who was in favor of killing babies.

I could not sit at the table with them. I've got higher standards. I'm much better than that. Yep. Okay, and as far as I'm concerned, you're either pro-life or you're low-life. Mm-hmm. And that is my position. It's just wicked. It's very evil. Right.

Killing, God's word, again, God brought the harshest punishment, the harshest punishment on any people for killing their children. And so, here now, so when we looked at what was taking place with Helena and Milton, and I can't remember the one before that that took out Cancun out there, that hurricane. Mm-hmm. That really, that's a place just, I stayed just south of Cancun and a really nice place, and it took, it's gone, okay?

Of course, those billionaires built things up very quickly out there. So, anyhow, now, but listening to people and just listening to the people that were being interviewed in the media, you know, that have lost everything. The people of faith, the people of faith, here, you know, they were talking about how God spared them. You know, we lost all of our material goods, we lost our home, but we have each other, okay? Mm-hmm.

And we can rebuild that. Those that were not people of faith, to them the loss of the material things was absolute tragedy. I mean, they put everything, put all their trust in the material things. That's why when Jesus said it's easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven.

It's because rich men have a tendency to put their trust in their wealth. Mm-hmm. People like George Soros and that talking about being quick frozen and then someday defrosted and when science is at the point where they can bring them back to life. Others are talking about actually being decapitated and having their heads with their brain and everything and at some point being... Preserved somehow.

...reserved well and attached to a mechanical robotic body. Mm-hmm. And so they're placing their trust in science and so falsely called instead of God, huh? Yeah, trying to... There's also where you see things where they try to figure out how to download their consciousness into a computer program to be able to, quote, unquote, live forever. Yeah. But here's the other thing. And I've been guilty of this myself to some degree. Unfortunately too, too many of us can, you know, we never consider the reality that the same tragedies, the very same tragedies that have been falling, all of the folks out there in Florida, North Carolina, down in Mexico. You know, those very same tragedies in reality could, you know, come against us.

Mm-hmm. In fact, sooner or later, the odds are that all of us are going to face some real tragedies in our lifetime. Yeah, and some hard times. Yeah, it wasn't that long ago when I stepped out on my back deck and a tornado come down the river. And a tornado passed within 20 feet of my house.

Oh, man. And, I mean, it tore things up really big, okay? And we're still repairing some of the stuff out there. Was that one of the ones that came through, what was it, about a month or two ago? Yeah.

Probably about two months ago. Yeah, there was like 25 tornadoes in one night. Yeah, I mean, it's... And that was one of them. Every area of the United States, every area of the world, there's some kind of natural disaster that can hit you. You know, California deals more with earthquakes than, I mean, we could get an earthquake here, but it's not as likely here. Here, it would most likely be a tornado, a natural disaster that would come and hit us. Well, tornadoes and blizzards. Blizzards, yes. We've had some, I've had some very close calls because of blizzards, okay? We had, I was on Christmas Day, I'm trying to think of here, where I live, here in this little township, it hit the record, it hit a record snowfall for one day, and it was, well actually it wasn't Christmas Day, it was the day before Christmas, and it went in, but we got 32 inches of snow in one night. And, I mean, we had the most in the entire state, and what happened was, the snow was piled up and roofs were collapsing.

So, my brother and I, we got a ladder and we got up on my roof and I had to get up there and shovel the snow off. And so, with the guy down at the end of the street, he wasn't so lucky, his roof collapsed on him. He was a fellow who was in there who, he had these, you know, very rare animals he would have, and he collected these as pets.

And here he had a number of them in there, those that are very expensive too, and he was, unfortunately he was drunk. His roof collapsed, set the house on fire, and he refused, he refused to leave when the fireman came in because he didn't want to leave his animals. And they had to lock, you know, they had to arrest him, the police had to arrest him and pull him out of the house. But what happened was, when I saw the house on fire, I was going to try to make it down there to help him, and the snowplows had been out all night long, so the road, I could walk on the road, but the snow was piled up. And so, as we were walking, the snow was like an icy film, and I slipped and fell, and when I fell, I heard a trembling, a rumbling, and it was right around the bend came the snowplow. And so, I got to my feet and we jumped into that snowdrift, man, we just jumped out.

Get out of the way. Yeah, just in time. So, you never know when a tragedy could hit you.

Yeah. And so, here now, it's very, very possible that someday, like any of us could find ourselves all alone with just the clothes on our back. The apostle Paul, as a prisoner, could relate to that and even learn to be content with his life whatsoever state that he was in.

Should the same circumstances befall us, are we prepared? Let's go to Philippians chapter 4. Philippians chapter 4.

We read, starting with verse 9. These things which you have both learned and received and heard and seen of me do, and the God of peace shall be with you. So, that God of peace that we talked about, you know, it mentions, you know, all throughout scripture, you see that in Romans 15, 2 Corinthians 13, 11, that's here, you know, the God of peace is referring to. What is the peace that passes all understanding? Salvation? Well, the salvation comes with salvation, but that peace that passes all understanding is your knowing, your having absolute confidence, okay, that God is on the throne, he's in complete control.

We know that the sufferings of this life are hardly even worth mentioning when compared to the rewards of immortality with God and glory. You know, the church in Thessalonica here came to aid, to the aid of the apostle Paul. Now, here this church was extremely impoverished, it was extremely impoverished church, but they didn't hesitate for a minute.

Let's go. But I rejoiced in the Lord and greatly that now at the last your care of me have flourished again wherein you were also careful but you lacked opportunity. He's telling them here that they did whatever they could. And again, like I say, they were an impoverished church. Now I have, now that I speak in respect of want, for I have learned in whatsoever state I'm in wherewith to be content.

Boy, wouldn't that make life a lot easier if we could be content with whatever state God placed us in? Yeah, and no real worries. That, I mean, yeah, things are different. Well, you know, today I got to tell you, you probably couldn't tell, but I've got pneumonia.

Oh, no. Yeah, I'm hooked. Yeah, I'm on lockdown here with pneumonia, so I praise the good Lord for Pastor Lewis.

Pastor Richard, he did the church service for me in the morning and Pastor Hal of course did in the evening. Was that just today that you? No, I've had it since about last Thursday and anyhow I've had some rough, it's been a really tough year, but there's something going on.

There's something going on because there's a whole lot of people, and that's pastors especially, but all about the same age. We're all getting hit with things, especially in the upper respiratory, and it's something that's not just normal. But anyhow, but the point of it is, is I've learned to do radio programs when I'm not feeling good, okay?

You learn to adjust. Now, one of the strangest what I've ever done was when I had had a hip replacement, and I was in the hospital, and I was doing a program live from my hospital. From your hospital bed? Yeah. And so while I'm doing this, this nurse comes in, and she was giving me shots in the stomach.

Shots in the stomach. And so while I'm on the air. As you're talking.

Yeah, as I'm talking. She came in, she wasn't coming back. She was getting off her shift and she wasn't coming back. And she said, so as I'm on the air, I said, this folks is a first for me. I've never had a shot in the stomach while I'm doing live broadcasts. So she sticks her face right up to the phone and she said, and I've never given anybody a shot while they were on the radio. Well, no one could question your commitment.

Yeah. And so here, he goes on to say, I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound, everywhere and in all things. I'm instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. So he said he's instructed how to live humbly when it's necessary and to live in prosperity when it's necessary. I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. That's one of my favorite Bible verses right there.

That's one of the verses that I've clinged to all these years. In fact, on my pulpit, that is up on the front of the pulpit, notwithstanding, you have well done that you did communicate with my afflictions. Now, you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the Gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. For even in Thessalonica you sent one and again to my necessities, not because I desire a gift but I desire fruit that they may abound to your account.

Now, so here's what they were doing. Apostle Paul, he was in between. He was in prison. This is one of the prison epistles. He was in prison and the conditions weren't real good on that day. You know, they're not good in our prisons today but at least, you know, they have mats and things to sleep on today.

It wasn't too good. They usually was some cold stone thing. Even when he was in Caesar's palace, he was locked between two guards 24 hours a day. He says, but I have all and abound, when he says that they may be abound to your account, do you think that those folks who were in dire poverty and they gave what little they could for Paul, do you think that they're going to get a huge return in glory? Of course.

Yeah, I think so. He says, but I have all abounded, I am full, having receiving of the papparditis, the things which were sent from you, in order of a sweet smell of sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now Paul is speaking here with authority so God had already told Paul, right? He had let him know. And then he says, and now, now unto God, and to our Father, be glory forever and ever, Amen. Salute every saint in Christ Jesus, the brother which are with me greet you. All saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household. You see, that's where he was at, right in Caesar's house in his castle. And so now here Paul was leading, these Roman soldiers were getting saved. I mean they were, you know, when you're chained to somebody for 24 hours a day, and I'm sure they took shifts, probably 12 hour shifts or whatever, you know, they have conversation and they'd want to know why he's so important, you know. And Paul was leading these, what do you think they did with those guys when they got saved?

Probably chained them up as well then. No, what they did is they took those, because they didn't have a surplus of soldiers, would ship them out, they called the Romans Road, where they were building a highway all through to Europe, and they would ship those guys out and they would be taskmasters along the highway. And what they didn't know is they were sending out missionaries, did they? And so he goes on and he says, All saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Amen. And so here the Apostle Paul, he knew what it was like to have to go through those tragedies. He was a Hebrew of the Hebrew, he was a fellow that at one time was very wealthy, to be one of the Pharisees, one of the leaders, the judges.

He was well-to-do. And now we don't know much about him because usually if you were a Pharisee you were married. And so he probably gave up and had to leave his family. His family more than likely turned against him when he became a Christian, what do you think?

I would say most likely, yeah. Because he was very zealous to persecute the Church of Jesus Christ. And here, I mean, he had a reputation, he would have been very well known amongst the Pharisees, someone of great reputation. And they probably had a certain status that the family was used to living.

Yeah. And now all of a sudden, well, we know people, I have friends, Jewish friends of mine, who once they were converted, their families absolutely disowned them, disowned them. I had a friend, he was an Orthodox Jew, quite a theologian actually, but very Orthodox Jew. And his daughter was considering marrying to a Gentile. And he was upset, very upset about this. And I said, well, what if she does it, what are you going to do? She said, well, in his synagogue, she would have to lay down upon the steps of the synagogue, and they would all have to step over her when they left. And that was a way of saying we no longer, you know, you're no longer part of our family. That's sad. And I imagine, well, they still do that today in some places.

So, anyhow, the people today, when we take a look at, and this is why we definitely need to pray for people, what has happened there. I just was listening to this lady today talking about, she's living up in the mountains, and she said, they said it would be at least six months before they have any electricity. Well, if I was here, I wouldn't wait for six months. I'd find a way to get a generator. I know there's shipping generators in down there.

Yeah. And get a generator. But still, I mean, you need the gas for the generator or the solar, you know, if it's a solar-powered one, you need to be able to still recharge the generator somehow. Yeah, well, let me tell you, these storms have put out quite a demand for solar generators now. I bet. Yeah, because people, you know, when the grid goes down, and you know the opposition sooner or later are going to try to take the grid down, you know.

It's just a matter of time. When that happens, you know, like we have, I have a generator at home, and it works off natural gas. But some of those natural gas pumps have generators too, but they work off natural gas. And so some of those pumps, if they go down, you know, you'll have gas for a while after the grid goes down. But you can't be guaranteed that. No.

And so anyhow, we're at that time that we get to every night at this time. One of the things I wanted to say very quickly too, folks, is this issue one I'm watching, they're running these commercials, folks. These commercials they're running on issue one are completely and totally bogus. Yeah, they're lies.

They're exactly the opposite of what the truth is. These people are professional liars. The money coming in for this, all those signs are coming from outside of Ohio. These people, this is here, this is a way to stretch the Communist Party, the Democratic districts, out into rural areas. This is Eric Holder, the corrupt, corrupt Attorney General Eric Holder is behind this scheme. And so, listen, they're pouring billions of dollars. I don't, we don't have the money, we're putting our signs out in that. It's up to you folks out there. You have to tell people, listen, remember what happened.

You failed the last time. So many people did not understand and now because of that, the last issue one, the last election out there, we lost. Fifty years of pro-life activity was wiped out because of that. They amended the Constitution to say, right now, baby killing is a free, open season of babies in the womb.

Open season. And we tried and we tried to tell you. Now, the same thing, issue one. Got to vote no. You got to vote no. You got to vote no. If we don't vote this thing down, we're going to end up being a perennial blue state.

Right, what it does is it takes redistricting, it takes everything out of the hands, removes it totally from the voters, and puts it in the hands of these bureaucrats. And we have no say. And folks out there, another thing, the most important thing is this, as we always get to this time of night, all of you out there listening, one of these days, the only election, there's going to be one final election. And that's when God calls his elect.

And you want to be there and you want to be active in that election. That means you must be born again. And folks out there, the time will come when nothing else will matter to you. So as God's Word, the Bible says, this time tonight is the best time to call upon the name of the Lord, ask, pray to the Father, ask for forgiveness.

Call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and make him Lord of your life, all of your life, completely and totally, without any reservation. It's now or never, because you know what? How many of those people never expected to be hit with storms and dirt and hundreds of people are dead now that never planned on dying? Tomorrow's not guaranteed. That's right, it is not. It's not guaranteed. No, even within the next ten minutes, it's not a guarantee. How much time do I have?

A little over a minute. Okay. So now is the time for you to call upon the name of the Lord and find that peace that passes all understanding. Folks, I'm going to tell you, it doesn't get any better than to know that when you leave this world, you're going to go to a much, much better place. And just think about that.

Just think about eternal life, living forever in pain-free bodies. You know, God can do it. He always does what he says he does. In fact, he says he will do his purpose.

There's nothing that can stop him. So do that. Do it tonight. Pray to the Father.

Call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you'll never regret it. We're out of time, so as we get to this point every night at this time, we always say thanks for being here. Good night. Good night. God bless. God bless. And always, always, always keep fighting the fight. Fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight.
