The evidence of faith is one's works, and if you are saved, your works will fall out to the glory of God. However, if you don't have any works, you'll grieve the Holy Ghost, and God will deal with you severely to prevent you from losing your rewards in heaven. It's essential to make your salvation sure, as many people think they're saved but are not. The best way to resist the devil is to call on God, using the Word of God as your defense.

Unabashedly cutting through the rhetoric by exposing the hard topics facing our society and world. A lot of the other news medias don't pick up the news items like he does. And bringing to light the enemies of freedom who are up to steal your rights, your children, and enslaving you. You really get the truth out.

I can tune into your show and hear the unvarnished truth. Thank you. This is what's right, what's left, with Pastor Ernie Sanders. Good evening, and welcome to another edition of What's Right, What's Left: The Voice of the Christian Resistance. On this fifteenth day of February, twenty twenty six and tonight He's young, he's exuberant, he's aggressive, he's articulate.

Very energetic. Uh And some would even say. He's a whipper snapper. And some have said that. And of course.

You might think those people that would say that aren't really whippersnappers themselves. They're Um They might be called senior citizens. But anyhow, It's style. Hey, style. Hey, Pastor, how are you?

I'm doing okay. What did you have to pay Kitty to get the spot tonight? Oh, you know, he's just working on some brake lines, trying to get them fixed. No idea how they snapped or anything, but it sure is a shame. All right, there you go.

Yeah, yeah. Anyhow. The title of the message tonight. Is From spiritual blindness to spiritual birth. No, uh I I discovered something and I'm going to get into that here in a minute.

Before I do that, I've got a little commentary. And that is As I get older, that and that's happening, folks. I mean, that's really happening. And closer to the end of this old life of mine, I do it with both gladness and sadness. The gladness is for all those that I care so much about And for my Myself also.

knowing that the pain that I feel Even as I now and preparing this message. And that was Yesterday, as I was preparing my message, I had uh, well, it kind of dislocated my shoulder on Friday. And when you do that, you t put things out of place and I c I was in some very serious pain, very serious, and since then the It's got his quiet and way down, praise the good Lord for that. And uh In fact, it kept me From getting any sleep I didn't really get the sleep. uh until uh five o'clock this morning.

I didn't get to sleep at all last night. But anyhow And so And I was thinking about Here Good. Our bodies wear down. Our desire is to be with Maker And reunited with our loved ones grows stronger by the day. The thoughts of life eternal.

In glorified bodies. Just think about that glorified bodies. No more pain, no disease, no deformity Uh Folks Think of that, no cancer. Uh that's in no artificial lens, you know. Uh there's there's just so much.

And energy, having energy back again. Not worrying ever. about being hungry, not worrying about Loss of sleep. our loss of energy No arthritis And you you ask yourself Is that really gonna happen? Is that really gonna happen?

Well We've got God's word on it, and there's nothing Nothing. As sure as that. It's the most sure thing that ever existed. The power and the word of God is Well, you spoke the universe into being. And so Here when I think about it And the absence of all of our worldly concerns that we have out there, all of the distractions that we have, the obligations that we don't really often want They Annoyances and boy do we have a lot of annoyances out there today.

No more people.

Well trying to pull me down. moveon dot org, all those organizations that uh tried to to pull me down, tried to take down my my program. Always mischief in the acts. All of that'll be gone. Won't have any of that any more.

And so No more heartaches. And I think about Seeing the Lord face to face. Did you hear that? God said we will see him face to face. And thinking how for All of that.

For all what he has done. And you think about that, folks. I know when I think about all that the Lord has done for me. Uh it's just been well I don't like boredom. I you know, and I can tell you this, he's given me a life with no boredom.

No board a minute. We've had plenty of excitement over the years. And In that time, just thinking about when I get to heaven, I see. The creator of the universe. I see.

The one That had no beginning, it had no end. I see face to face The God who whose power is unlimited have has no limitations on his ability There is nothing outside his ability, and Now think about that, how awesome that is.

Someone that that his ever been. That has always existed that has always existed. And I'll be seeing 'em face to face. He said, Well, how is that possible?

Well He says with him all things are possible. And I know that Sometimes You know, we get impressed with some of uh the technology we have today.

Well, like right now, just How is my voice travelling? I've got no idea how it really works, how my voice travels over the the airways to people all over the in or even all over the world over the internet. invisible Here you have the signals invisible, you don't even see them, but they're there. How does that technology work? I don't know, but it does.

But when I think about Man's greatest source of technology. Is Less. Then child's play. Compared to God's technology. And when we think about that, Albert Einstein once said that.

That God never has to theorize. He doesn't have to theorize he. has the answer, he is the answer. And so When I think about that that Some day I'll be face to face with it. What do you think about that, Starle?

Couldn't think of anything better. Then When I get to heaven I'll have some time on my hands because Well, I'm going to be living eternally forever. And here The first person I'm going to look up the Lord's willing. that I'll be looking up. is my son Timmy, who I lost over fifty years ago.

And I will be looking up him. I've had many dreams about him. And a lot of questions, a lot of questions out there, people questions that we don't have answers for yet, but Uh people ask me wh Won't there be any will there be children in heaven?

Well, I would imagine God loves children. That there will be children in heaven. Uh People ask Well Uh will children Stay children forever? I don't think so. God didn't make em to stay children forever he made em to grow up.

And as we have the theory that Uh but a lot of theo theologians believe that those of us that die as adults That will all appear in heaven is. uh at the age of thirty three. Will will appear at the age of thirty three. And And say, well, why is that?

Well, because in a number of places in Scripture, It talks about we will be conformed. We will be conformed to the very image of Christ. We will and so Christ died at the age of thirty three. And Uh that seems like the perfect the perfect number. But we'll have to wait till we get there to know for sure, but that's that is what Many, many theologians believe today.

And so and then I thought I thought about that too. You know Do you know how long? Style that I have been with my wife. Are you there? Did he take off?

Yeah. Margaret from New York. No, we d we don't take calls on during this program. Oh. But anyhow Here Oh.

I have been with my wife. Pardon? Yep, no problem. I have been with my wife. Style for sixty four years Sixty-four years.

You know, like that song song goes getting to know you. Anyhow. And I was thinking here. If if I get to heaven before my wife, Then Aye. And Timothy will be meeting her together when she arrives.

And that was kind of a thought that came into you kind of get this picture of things. And you kinda get this picture of heaven.

Well, anyhow. I said all that. Just say that um I noticed something as I was over the years something that just kind of I It just really dawned on me And that is when we were talking about spiritual birth and spiritual blindness. How many passages of Scripture where they always appear together. They're a spiritual birth that appears with also spiritual blindness.

And I thought how interesting that is. And so I'm going to start tonight. In John chapter twelve. And verses uh and we're going to go through verses thirty-eight through Fifty. That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled.

which he spake The Lord who hath believed our report To whom the arm of the Lord been revealed, Therefore They could not believe because that Isaiah said again He hath blinded the eyes that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, that I should heal them.

Now here's something that's very interesting. And d do you know what that is, Dyle? What's that? You've got. The Lord Jesus quoting Isaiah who was quoting the Lord Jesus.

And so Here We pick it up, and of course, who is he talking about where he says that he has. Blinded the eyes.

Well, if we jump over to verse thirty one.

Now is the judgment of this world now the Prince of this world be cast out. And if I be lifted up from the earth, I shall draw all men unto me. And of course that was signifying the Uh What death that the Lord Jesus would die through crucifixion But here he's talking about Satan and but but how interesting because In the book of Isaiah, Isaiah said, The Lord said, which he was quoting the Lord Jesus, and now here the Lord Jesus is quoting. Isaiah that was quoting him. These things, said Isaiah, when he Saw the glory and spake of him.

Of course, when he saw the glory of the Lord, he was. Beside himself there in uh Isaiah chapter six and verse one. Nevertheless, among the the chief rulers.

Now here's an important verse. Here's a very very important verse. because the application we see this to day We see this today. Here. And He says Nevertheless, among the chief rulers also Many believed on him.

But because of the Pharisees, they did not confess him. lest they should be put out of the synagogue.

Now here Uh There's a metal belief. And the The facts concerning crisis really Just to b to believe in his existence. You know, because some people say, Well, all they have to do is believe upon it Well, No, you gotta do a little bit more than believe upon him, okay? You you believe that he exists as knowing that, but uh believe that he knew who he was. Does not every demon in hell Believe that that uh Jesus is the Christ?

And so, here that's not sufficient enough for salvation.

So An open confession. An open confession is evidence of of a saving faith. We know that because Paul said that over in Romans chapter 10, verses 9 and 10. Here, for they love the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Well, they actually fear feared the Pharisees More than they feared God. They knew who God was, they believed. That he was the Christ who he said he would be. And yet They denied him. How smart is that?

That's not very smart at all.

Okay. And so Jesus said, Whoever is ashamed of him before the Father, so shall he be ashamed. before man so shall he be ashamed before the father. And so he goes on to say, and what do we have this today? When it comes to taking Very strong and hard stands on issues like.

like political issues. Uh a lot of these mega church Pastors will tell their people they really should not be involved in Politics. Because Uh Christians shouldn't be involved in politics. How would you square with that with the word of God? It doesn't align with it at all.

No, if we go back from Genesis to Revelation, Every prophet, every priest, every preacher, every man of God And none exhumed this. None exhumed this like the Lord Jesus himself, But their faith and their politics were one of the same. They were totally inseparable. They were the same. Isn't that the way it's supposed to be with us?

I know that's the way it is with me. That's right. All things should be based around your faith. Right. Faith should be your politics.

Your politics should be your faith, huh? Amen. Jesus cried and said, Well, and again, a lot of these preachers. are they're they're afraid to do the right thing. And uh when it comes to Let me give you an example.

I knew a a guy, a pastor. I used to meet with him. We had a Bible study, it was one of several. And He found out That the pastor that married him and his wife. was not legally authorized To marry them and give them a state marriage license.

And when he found this out, he He just panicked. I mean, I couldn't believe this. He he panicked and He was upset, and I said, Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what's wrong here? What's the panic? First of all, Who was it that gave us the institution, a divine institution of marriage?

Was it Was it the State or was it God? Yeah. Okay. So God gave us the divine institution of marriage, not the state. And so here Uh I told him, What you need is is to get just g have say your vows in the church.

Because the Church of Jesus Christ and and get a a marriage certificate from the church and in that Make sure that on that certificate you have a disclaimer that says that. this marriage and this union by this man and this woman is recognized by Jesus Christ and his church. But not necessarily the state of Ohio or any other state. And that's all you need to do because first of all, again, God gave us the divine institution, not Caesar. And so here Uh but but this man You know, he was he was more concerned, more afraid of Caesar.

Then he was a god. And there's a lot of, unfortunately, preachers out there today. That that fit in that category. He says Here.

Now he that believeth on me believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world that Whosoever believeth on me shall not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not, for I come not to judge the world. But to save the world.

What a How do you uh How do you what do you make of that? I mean, isn't Christ going to be the judge of all of us? Waythrun?

Well that's right. at the way through in there, but even the Bema seat, well, He's talking about at that time if they they still had a an opportunity The nation of Israel to receive him, didn't they? And so he said, He that rejecteth me And receiveth not my words. Hath one That judges him. The word that I have spoken.

The same shall judge him in the last days. For I have not spoken of myself But the father would set me. He gave me a commandment which I should say and what I should speak. And I know that this commandment is Life everlasting. Whatsoever I speak, therefore, even as the Father has said unto me, so I speak now.

We say again They natural order of things Um when it comes to the Trinity. God the Father gives the marching orders. God the Son gives carries them out, and the Holy Ghost provides the power. We see that from Genesis to Revelation, don't we? Right, um And so I wanna know Go over to Well and you see here again you have both these Spiritual birth and spiritual dark uh blindness in this passage.

But let's go over to John chapter 1. And in John chapter 1. We read. Verses 9 through 13. Again.

We're going to see the same thing here. Yeah. That was the true light which lighteth every man that cometh to the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him and the world knew him not. He came into his own, and his own received him not.

Even as Many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God. even to them that believe on his name. Which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man. But of God. Do you ever stop and think?

How? That there are some people in this world. In fact, Actually quite a few people that will live their entire whole lives without ever hearing one passage of Scripture being quoted from from God's word to the Bible. And so how do you think? They can get saved.

Does God just write them off? Or does God have a plan? Does God have a way of getting them saved.

Well, I think it's twofold. First and foremost, God judges justly. He's a just God, and He bases it whether on they've rejected to hear out of choice or they were never given the choice to hear His Word. And I think the second part of that is that's why the Great Commission exists. That's why we're called as Christians to spread the Word to make sure as many people as we can know.

All right, so if you are Let's just say that you lived in the jungle someplace. Uh and and I've been to those places where these people may never ever seen the Bible.

Some of them have never even seen a book, okay? And um I remember this is a strange story, but after World War II. A number of people from Germany came over. uh after the war and they were working here And I remember a couple of these men And I w and and I was just a kid at the time and and uh they were telling me that They had grown up there in Germany and had never seen. A real black person in the in the flesh.

They'd seen pictures, but had never seen And they you know, they lived there in Germany, never seen and I thought, Whoa Yeah, that that was you know, that was amazing. But now And and a lot of times those days We head out here. Out where I lived A number of Amish people And some of them were Kids that were almost in their teens that have never been out of their own county. that that lived there and um you know, just never went anywhere, never traveled. But here, let me ask you this.

What is what does God use If you are out there And uh You had no knowledge, no radio, no T V, no smart alley phones. No books. How would you know That there is a God out there. There's a couple of ways.

Well, I think the first thing I'd think of is everything has to everything created has to have a creator, right? Everything has to come from somewhere.

So that would be the first indicator is you have everything around you to point to. The fact that of of God's existence.

So you see, you look at a creation. Everything that works for well of you know the seasons, everything that is playing. And you realize there has to be an intelligent creator to create that, huh? And then But We're made in the image of God, right? And it and man does not All men have a body, soul, and a spirit.

And does that God Put that bit of light within us, he gives us he is the light that shines in the darkness. And he gives man that understanding Well, they may not call him the Lord Jesus or whatever. but in their heart each and every one of em is enlightened to the point God gives him an opportunity, To receive him or to reject him, huh? That's right. And so Somebody asked me today about children.

Well, are there going to be children in heaven?

Well, yeah. children, those that are not at the age of accountability, Seeing that God is a perfectly just, a perfectly just, a perfectly holy God. Uh that here Those that are, as he told Jonah, that don't know their right hand from their left. Uh they're g they're automatically they're going to heaven, aren't they? And what about all the babies that the Democrats have aborted?

Won't they all be in heaven? That's right. Here He's given everyone the ability to see and to receive. God is is perfectly just. Perfectly fair.

Let's go over to 2 Corinthians chapter 4. This is an interesting passage. In Second Corinthians chapter four. Verses one through seven. Therefore, seeing we have This ministry And we have received mercy, we faint not.

What is it? What do you think he's referring to? We've received mercy, we faint not. Uh What do you think he means? They've received God's grace.

Yeah. Uh did the Apostle Paul I have some very rough and interesting times there.

Okay, He got he got many whoopins, didn't he? Yeah. But he he didn't faint, you know, even though Uh some thought he was dead, you know. But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty. not walking craft in craftiness.

nor handling the word of God deceitfully how How do you think this applies to to day? The so called religious teachers we have nor handling the word of God deceitfully, But By the manifestation of the truth. commending ourselves to every man's conscience, in the sight of God. In what ways to day do we see God's uh word being used deceitfully. We've got a lot of God's word being used deceitfully, unfortunately, with apostate churches and these people that claim to be authorities of Christ that talk about other ways of salvation or talking about works to earn your salvation or talking about a secondary baptism or any of these wild concepts that are anything but the biblical truth.

Distorting the text. What about if you're If you don't speak in tongues, you're not saved. That was certainly one of them. Yeah, it certainly is. And so.

So, when he's talking about that, I think another one of those is this: you have.

Well No. I mean, if that was prevalent in Paul's day, just think about today, would you have over 200 Perversions of the Bible And What is the L G B T Q The uh the Sodomite Bible group. What do they Uh declare That The reason for God destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. Do you know w what they say the reason was? I I've heard it before, but I don't remember what their excuse is.

Inhospitality. That's that's the claim. Uh Kind of amazing, isn't it? And so He goes on to say But if our gospel be hid It is hid to them that are lost. In home The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe, Not lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ.

who is the image of God, should shine into them. Uh I had a My lady tell me One time that She said, I believe And God I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. But I don't believe that there's any such thing as the devil or hell. Because God is a loving God, and I don't believe that a loving God would create such a place as he as as the devil or hell. And I says Would then I said, You believe that God's a liar?

No!

Well, you got the Lord Jesus himself literally preached more in hell than he did heaven. He did? Yeah. I said, I know exactly why it is you believe what you believe. She said, You do?

I said, I sure do. She says, Why? I said So I took her to this passage right here. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them, which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ who is the image of God should shine unto them.

She read that. Do you know what she said? What'd she say? I don't understand what it means. I said, well, let's look at it again.

I said, because we. Here, a gid. She's making statements that she believed in the Lord that Jesus was Christ, she believed in in him. Being saved and and born again, but she didn't believe there was a a hell or a devil, okay. And so here, again, Uh The Gospel of Christ did not Christ preach on hell?

Yes, sir. Mm-hmm. Did he not? Uh uh Have some major disagreements with the devil. I think that's pretty documented.

Yeah. For if we preach not ourselves but Christ Jesus the Lord. and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God who commanded the light to shine out of the darkness has shined in our hearts. To give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels The excellency and the power of Maybe of God and not of us.

Now because pride Uh Because of pride.

Some of the the world's most brilliant, if you will, intellectuals, I mean of those with have the highest IQs, are unable to accept the fact that there is a God. that is so much greater than themselves, and whom they will have to answer to. They they deceive themselves by choosing to believe Um In evolution. Therefore, denying their creator. Let me ask you this.

Is math a matics? Is math A perfect science, a precise science. Yeah. It is. And mathematically evolution's totally impossible.

But but here These people that I had a A friend, who may be listening to the programme now. Um Who was professing to be a Christian?

Now, this guy that was a professor. And this professor had Very high IQ, which he Often let everyone know about And But anyhow, he and I We used to we would walk together.

Well, we started out by actually Jogging. It is. and as the time went on our jogging went to slogging. And uh it ended up being just a a long walk, but uh we would and as we would do that, we would discuss things. He professed to be a Christian.

Because he had a membership he belonged to a United Methodist Church. But he he believed in evolution. And As we got in this debate, I told him, I said, look. It's this simple. I can prove creation of five minutes.

You could not prove evolution in five years. That's reality. And he said, Well, how how could you do that? I said, Very simple. I says, here, the Bible says in the beginning God created the heavens.

Now, look up. Where the birds flying right there, that's the first heaven. You've been up there. I've been up there in an airplane. It's there.

You know it's there. I've been there. You've been there. I said Right here, God created the earth. Look down towards your feet.

You're standing on it. It's there You can see it. The last thing that God created was man. I said, Here I am. You can see me, you can hear me.

You can touch me? I said, now that's proof.

Okay. This is proof, this is evidence. And do you know what his response was? What's that? Theoretically If no one acknowledges you Your existence Like the old saying, Uh if a tree falls in the forest and there's no one there to hear it, does it still make a sound?

So he says theoretically If no one acknowledges your existence, then you don't exist. Brilliant answer, right? Theoretically, yeah.

So do you know what I did? I had to. I had to convince him.

So I did the only thing Like a dude. at that moment. I got him in the headlock and I dutch rudged the top of his head. And he was yelling. And my wife come out on the back porch.

She said, What on earth are you doing? And do you know what I told her style? What's that? I said, Honey, I am being acknowledged. And She shook her head and turned and walked away.

Okay. But I was acknowledged. Who knows? I could have gone out of existence. Right.

And so.

Yeah I did I did what I what we had to do at the time. But now that these people that are there today, you know, you've seen them. No Who believe that they are such geniuses that they have such high. uh they're such great intellectuals That there there cannot be any God who's intellect is so so much superior to their own, that they will have to some day be judged by that guy, right? Uh here But anyhow Let me give you examples of some of these people.

Bill Gates is a perfect example of that. Uh he is one of those. What about Klaus Schwab? These are people How about Bill Maher? These people believe that they are Such intellectuals that they Deny that there is a God, a Creator God.

How foolish is that? Very Absolutely. And so Let's go over to First Corinthians. Oh, by the way, I want to go back to where we were Add them. But we have, verse seven, this treasure in earthen vessels The excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.

Do you know what the treasures are that he's referring to? What's that? Well, it It's the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Okay. And it's that the the fact that we have been purchased, you know, Uh That we have eternal life, but the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that he's referring to. is within the earthen vessel. Do you know what the earthen vessel is? What's that?

That's our bodies. Our bodies were created out of the clay. And so that's what he's talking about. But we have this treasure in the earthen vessels. The excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.

and that is the light of the knowledge of the glory of God. And so Let's go over. Uh Two. Second uh the Second Corinthians chapter five, just a page over. And in chapter five, we read this.

Verses seventeen through twenty one. Therefore If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. Um This is being born again, isn't it? That's right.

In all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself. by Jesus Christ How many intercessions intercessors are there between Man and God Just one. Here's what I say. The only one is Jesus Christ. Amen.

So he was we reconciled to the Father through the Son, aren't we? And have given to us the ministry of reconciliation.

So now we have that ministry. What is our Ministry of Reconciliation? What do we call that ministry? We call it a name. Christians?

It's called the Great Commission. Oh, that makes sense.

Okay. to wit that God was in Christ Reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. In other words, He has given us this. All we have to do is repent of our sin, and call upon his name. And we can be received by him, huh?

That's right. Now then we are Ambassadors For Christ As though God did beseech you. Bias. We pray. You in Christ instead you be Reconciled to God.

For He hath made him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Now, What does an ambassador what does an ambassador do? If we send an ambassador uh To another country, to Canada or Mexico. What's that ambassador's job? His job is to represent properly. to convince that that that country or th those people Yeah.

receiving the the policies of the United States, huh? Sure. And so our job Okay, as ambassadors. out there and again we call this the Great Commission uh is to convince people. Why they give them the reasons to convince them that they should repent of their sin.

And call upon the name of the Lord Jesus. and receive eternal life, huh? That's right. So that's what we do, for he hath made Him to be sinned for us. who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him, And once we made the righteousness of God, then we are to carry out that great commission, huh?

That's right. But And so You know I've gone through this Third time today. And I never did get myself something to. The drink. And I'm kinda getting parched.

I might have to. I've got a little refrigerator over, but I have to step away. Uh, I think I can make it through. We who we don't have that much Walker. Anyhow, when you do you ever run out of voice where you're you get parsed and then your voice starts cracking up.

Oh yeah. And uh Well, I I think I'm getting close to that. Let's go over to 1 Peter. Man in First Peter Chapter two. First Peter chapter two.

Verses nine and ten But we are. a chosen generation A royal priesthood A holy nation A peculiar people that you should show forth the praises of him that hath called you out of the darkness into this marvelous light.

Now Mm-hmm.

So we're a chosen generation. I thought that Israel was the chosen people. All right. You're supposed to say yes, but When they rejected him, Ditton. The Lord graft us in?

Yes.

So we we're we were grafted in And now we're a chosen people.

So The church is referred to as what? We're the bride of Christ. That's right. A royal priesthood now What is the what is the Duties of a priest What does a priest do? What's the difference between a prophet and a priest?

Do you know the difference between the the mission of the prophet and the priest?

Well, the priest's job is to to teach and to further the word of God unto the people, right?

Well, to make it simpler, A prophet It goes. before the people. and says, Thus saith the LORD God So The prophets you have four tellers and fourth tellers.

Now, after the New Testament. was written we have we don't have four tellers now we have fourth tellers and those that are preaching the completed canon of Scripture, the Word of God, Those are prophets. And so What we're doing right now. I am I'm being a prophet right now. fourth telling, bringing the word of God to the people.

And so here He says a holy nation, a peculiar people. A royal priesthood.

Now a priest Uh Their job is to go before God on behalf of the people. A priest goes before God to intercede for the people. And that's what we do. We do you ever intercede for one another? Do you pray for friends and family and people?

Sure. Do you pray for old people like me, or do you think it's too late? Oh, you know, maybe if they deserve it.

Okay. And so here. That's what a priest does, and so we're a royal priesthood. And why would we be a royal priesthood? What would make us a royal priesthood?

Well, God's anointing would.

Well Do we have to offer up sacrifices for our salvation? No, we we were given that sacrifice already. Right, that was paid for us Our sa our salvation's kept by God. And we are a royal priesthood. We're the bride of Christ, and we're a royal priesthood.

Now In a holy nation and a peculiar people. Do you uh happen to I've known some Christians that are kind of peculiar. I might know a few. Yeah. Actually That word peculiar is not exactly the way that we use it to day.

Uh you know You know, they're in In the studio. You know, You might you might equate that with with strange, okay. Uh but no, the word peculiar actually here Well do you know what that actually means? It means a Purchased possession, a purchased possession.

So we're. uh people that are a purchased position. What were we purchased with? The blood of Christ. Absolutely.

That's what we're saying. Who hath called you out of darkness? into the marvellous light So that light is the understanding that we have of what we're reading right here, huh? That's right. Which in times past We're not a a people.

but are now the people of God, Which had obtained, which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

So, because of the rejection of the Messiah by the nation of Israel. we were grafted in. Before that we were not a people, but now We're a people and we've obtained mercy, huh? That's right. Let's go.

Over to Matthew seven And You know, this is one of those passages of Scripture. when I think about it. You know, when you This is why I preached so often On making your salvation sure, making your salvation sure. And I know that sometimes you kinda Uh over the years I know our congregation Uh m m many of them have probably maybe heard me preach on it half a dozen times or more. But I do that because Uh the im the importance of that.

Jevre, Sometimes t you're you're talking to some people and you're explaining something to 'em. And even though you're looking right there in the eyes, right in front of me, you can see. There's like a glaze in their eyes, and even though they're looking at you, In their mind, they're out there chasing rabbits someplace. Their mind is is totally away, you know And so And and that's what I've seen with some people you know, when I've asked them about their salvation.

Now Here if you are saved The evidence of faith is what? The evidence of faith is your works. your works. Faith without works is dead.

So if you are in fact saved, then your works and your works are going to be works that Fall out to the glory of God, huh? That's right. And so No. If you are saved and you don't have any works then you're going to to grieve the Holy Ghost that dwells within you. And if you grieve that Holy Ghost that dwells within you, the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit's gonna grieve you back. And you're gonna be very, very miserable. And if you are saved, if you belong to the Lord. And you you act in a manner which brings dishonour to God Is God going to deal with that? Yes, it will.

He tells you in Hebrews chapter twelve that he will chasten you to the point of scourging.

Now, let me tell you scourging. Uh was very, very undesirable.

Okay. And you didn't like to get scourged. In other words, he the point he was making is God will deal with you severely.

Sometimes He will literally take you out. Um Remove you. And when he does that. He does it for a couple of reasons. What do you think those reasons are?

Well, what are they?

Well, first of all, God does not he will not allow himself to be dishonored, brought dishonor to him, but In his mercy, he won't allow you to continue to lose whatever. Crowns you have in heaven Uh if you continue that, you lose all your rewards in heaven. And so, God, through his mercy, he often will make people very, very sick till they wish they were dead, or he will literally. cut them off and and take them home. And so Have it.

He goes on. And Uh Here in Matthew chapter 7 verse 21. First, I want to read. This Verse 13: Enter you in the straight gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way. that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go there.

So he's talking about to live the right to to enter. Is the not the easiest way. In other words, It takes discipline and faith. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth into life. and few there be that find it.

Now It's interesting that he would use that that word few there. If I was to say Uh Bring me A single cup of coffee, how many cups of coffee would there be? One cup? One. If I would say, Bring me a couple of cups of coffee, how many would that be?

Two cups. And if I say buy me bring me a few cups of coffee, how many would that be? Three cups. That's right. The number when he says few here, we know that we see That he says that the nation of Israel, that one-third of those.

that are professing that those one third are the Sons of Abraham, not just the seed of Abraham. One-third will receive Christ as their Savior. God being immutable Uh I believe he deals with the church in the same way. That about a third of those that are professing Christians are actually going to be saved. He says this not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.

But he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, Have we not prophesied in thy name? and in that name cast out devils. and it I name done many wonderful works. And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you.

Depart from me, you that work iniquity. This is why I so many people, like I said, you can tell That they're not saved, but they think they are.

Some people think they're saved by being baptized. You don't get saved by being baptized. You get baptized because you're saved. That's you know, what required. Um And You can you can tell that they they don't have an understanding.

And this is why we preached to make your salvation sure here. It's very important. There's nothing Ever that will matter as much to you? As if you enter and the Lord really, really emphasize this. Uh You know.

You don't want to leave this world and die in your sin. It's over. There's no coming back. And I want to end up real quickly. over in James on chapter four.

And in James chapter 4. Verses uh six through eight. But he giveth more grace, wherefore he saith, God. resistest the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves, therefore, to God.

Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands. You sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Now Let me ask you a question here.

Okay. What is the best way? To get the devil, to resist the devil and to get him to flee from you. What is the one sure way to do that? Call on God.

Well, what did the Lord Jesus do? How did the Lord Jesus, when he did 40 days in the wilderness, how did he resist the devil? The Word of God. Thus saith the LORD, as it is written, remember how Satan tried to tempt The Lord, by using His word, the power, Jesus resisted by saying, It is written And is there anything more powerful than the Word of God?

Okay. Thirty. All right, folks, draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts. You double-minded.

You're running out of time. You got to do it tonight. Good night. God bless and always, always keep faithful. Fighting the Fight.

Fight Fight. Fight. I did it before Trump fight. Fight. Fight.
