The following program is sponsored by What's Right, What's Left Ministries and is responsible for its content. Portions of the following program may be pre-recorded. I am Pastor Ernie Sanders, the voice of the Christian resistance. Stay tuned, my radio broadcast, What's Right, What's Left, is coming up right now. We'll be right back.
I get to hear exactly what's going on with the voice of the Christian resistance. Unabashedly cutting through the rhetoric by exposing the hard topics facing our society and world. A lot of the other news medias don't pick up the news items like he does. And bringing to light the enemies of freedom who are out to steal your rights, your children, and enslaving you. You really get the truth out.
I can tune into your show and hear the unvarnished truth. Thank you. This is What's Right, What's Left with Pastor Ernie Sanders. Good evening and welcome to another edition of What's Right, What's Left, the Voice of the Christian Resistance on this fourth day of November 2025. And tonight we have with us, well, she's pert and she's pretty, she's smart, she's witty, and she's the all-natural medicine marm, Miss Wendy Wilson.
Good evening, Pastor. Good evening, young lady. And he's a patriot preacher. He's an old soldier of the cross and been with me for a lot of years. We're like Lone Ranger in town almost.
None other than Pastor Joe Larson.
Well, good evening. Pleasure to be back with you, boss. Already. And we have tonight. He's young, but he's wise beyond his years.
Our producer, none other than style. Hey, Pastor, how are you? We're ready to go. That's how we are tonight. Does Val write all those intros for himself?
I just wondered, just a question No, I usually write these intros Oh, okay, just checking, that's all Alrighty, and so we're going to start today in Isaiah chapter 40, starting with verse 12 as we take a look at, is our God an awesome God? does he reign from heaven above with wisdom, power, and love is our God an awesome God boy he is isn't he he certainly is do you know what you can't find out there anywhere it's his limitations and so we're going to start let's do this we'll take a verse at a time Joe you read the verse and we'll do some commentary alright All right. What chapter, Pastor? Isaiah chapter 40. Isaiah chapter 40, starting with verse 12.
Okay, Joe, you read a verse at a time. Verse 12. Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with a span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance.
Well, what you have there is we have a whole series of rhetorical questions here, and, of course, the answer is always going to be the same, right? Right. And so when he talks about who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, how do you explain that, Joe? I mean, do you think that is God's hand so huge that he's poured the oceans in there and the seas? I think it's a visual picture for us.
We can have a little bit of water in the palm of our hand, and it gives us a concept of the power of God, like we would hold a teaspoon of water in the palm of our hand. And he, his power, can hold all the water of the earth and hold it separate, hold it any way he wants. He just has unlimited power. There is nothing he cannot do.
So he's looking at that, and, you know, we are, you know, of course, we have the here and now. And when we concentrate, we can concentrate on usually on one thing at a time. but God's not that way he can be thinking on unlimited amount of things at the same time he can hold like you said a little water in the palm of his hand and as he's thinking about where to place that water and places upon the earth by the way the earth as far as we know is unique to have oceans and rivers and so on But he could be also at the same time thinking about the thousands of different creatures that would inhabit that water and the plant life. I mean, his span is unlimited as far as the scope of his thoughts, huh?
Well, he hears every prayer. He hears every thought we have, every word we speak. And you look at all the people living on this continent, on this planet. and he can process, you talk about artificial AI being so powerful, God can understand every thought, every word spoken by every person on the face of this earth at the same time, and everything that he's ever heard or seen mentally, he remembers. There is no way the mind of man can comprehend that.
Oh, I know. When he says here, and he met it out to heaven in a spin, it comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure. When he's talking about the dust of the earth, he's referring to all of the, well, the basic elements of matter. I mean, that's what, he formed Adam out of the dust, didn't he? Yeah.
And so, in fact, did you know that our bodies are virtually the same elements you found in clay as what we have in our bodies? And it's interesting. He can measure the sand of the ocean. He can count the grains of sand. Everything he does is to give us a visual picture.
We know how to do scales. And then he goes on talks like he can weigh the mountains in scales. He can take the Rocky Mountains and knows exactly how much they weigh the Alps. He knows exactly how much they weigh. And, you know, it's incredible.
His understanding, his knowledge, like you said, I have to go back to that, is beyond our comprehension. I mean, we have trouble even visualizing how big the Rocky Mountains are or the Alps are, let alone knowing the exact measurements, dimensions, the weight, what's in them, every element that's in them, how much they weigh, where they are. I mean, it's very, very precise in the divine measurements and the chemical elements that suggest the structure of all. In fact, the molecular structure, whereby structures and properties and all the various materials and compounds in nature are controlled. And is his measure accurate?
Completely. He made it. He designed it. When it says he weighed the mountains, you have geographics structured around the principles of isosotisy. That's a word that you don't use very often.
Isosotisy means equal weights. And so the growth and emotions of the Earth's physical, I guess you would refer to it as physical graphical features are all regulated with what? Not just their size, but their densities. And you have the interesting thing to do, the molecular structure of even of us, of everything, is made in such a way that we vibrate. You know, I never think of yourself as vibrating, but all material vibrates at different vibrations at different rates.
And we used to have these nuclear physicists on the radio program. You might remember, Joe, it was a regular basis years ago. They would come on about every three weeks. We'd have them on. And one of the things the studies they did, and they showed you how God's word, the Bible, this King James Bible is the greatest science book ever existed.
And they were talking about how it's possible to have two solid objects occupying the very same space at the same time by controlling the vibrations of the matter. And they showed you, too, how that works. Pardon? Nothing. I clicked the wrong thing, and stuff was playing.
Sorry to interrupt.
Okay. You interrupted, you little clicker, you. I know.
So I was just trying to find that source, you know, where we were talking earlier about the fault line in the Mount of Olives. Oh, yeah, that's an amazing – well, actually, I kind of really thought that, and it's an interesting thing because that's exactly the way he did it with the Red Sea, you know, where he divided it. But there he tells you he's going to split it to the north and the south, and that would make sense that the fault lines would run from what, east to west? Right. Yeah, well, I mean, they closed up that eastern gate, right?
Yeah, it's sealed. Yeah, so I mean, you know, is Jesus supposed to go through that gate when he returns? Not that. It'll be a different temple. He's going to rebuild the temple.
Okay. Because, see, the temple that they're going to build, This next temple that Israel will build will be defiled by the Antichrist. He will be sent.
So when Christ returns, he doesn't really need a construction crew. And so he is going to— Well, I mean, if there's a fault line, how they found the fault line was there was a developer that wanted to put in, I don't know, some sort of commercial development on the Mount of Olives. And in the process of getting approval, they found out there's this huge fault line there. Which, you know, if the Lord's going to touch down there and he splits the mountain in two, I guess he's going to take advantage of that fault line. Yeah, he's going to stand in the exact same place he stood when he left, when he departed.
and have you ever been there? That Mount Olive goes, well, to me it's almost straight up. I tell you that, I didn't want to climb it. I have not. I've been to Israel, but I've seen, you know, pictures and videos and things.
Yeah. If you ever get a chance, I would go. It's a wonderful, wonderful land to go to. There's so much going on over there. It's kind of risky, I would think, to go.
Yeah, we were scheduled to go back, and we kind of canceled that for that reason. Even when I was there, Hamas tried to fire some missiles into Jerusalem, and as we were heading back towards Jerusalem, those Israeli jets flew over the top of us, and they fly so low, so low, that you couldn't even see them. They were upon you, boom. They were there before you could even see them. They were there and over and gone, and all you heard was that big boom.
And there at the Valley of Megiddo, I watched, down inside that Valley of Megiddo, they have an underground air base It an underground air base and you see jets they fly around the country continuously coming and leaving on a regular basis They're a very small country, very small, and so it doesn't take a lot to fly the complete circumference of the country. How big is Israel compared to, let's say, a U.S. state? I think it's about the size of Ohio. Is it New Jersey or something?
Yeah, yeah, I would say so, yeah.
Okay. It's not very big. But boy, for the small amount of property that they have there, they sure do produce a lot of goods. Let's go to the next verse, Joe. Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being his counselor hath taught him.
Well, here, well, you know, that says nothing but God's divine sovereignty. In other words, here, you know, of course, you have the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. You have the Godhead. But, in other words, who can direct? And we know that the Father gives the marching orders, the Son carries the mountain, the Holy Ghost always provides the power.
So the point of it is, who but God could unleash the power of the Holy Spirit? And also, it's like, who else is out there? Who would God turn to for his mentor? He has no mentor. He has no team.
He has no staff. It's like, you know, he is it. And it's just kind of saying, you know, who would the Lord, you know, who directed him? Nobody. He directs.
You just read the next verse. You just read, okay. With whom took he counsel? Go ahead. With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him the knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding.
And so I guess the question is fairly easy to answer. He says when he swears an oath, he swears it unto himself because there's no higher power. Nothing greater. Absolutely. Go ahead and read the next one.
You know, we have a lot of sayings today, and people don't realize many of those sayings that we have today, the cliches or soundbites, come right from God's Word, the Bible, and this is one of them, as a drop in the bucket. Yeah. Well, if you look at the universe, I mean, we're a medium-sized planet in a very small solar system, in a small galaxy. I mean, insignificant in that sense compared to the vastness of the universe. But I go back to something I wanted to mention.
You pick up a rock outside, and it's cold, and it's solid, and it's hard. You can beat on it. Nothing happens. But inside that rock, every atom has electrons that are spinning at a tremendous rate of speed around the proton, neutron and proton. And these electrons are spinning.
There is movement in that rock, in a diamond, in the iron, steel, whatever. Inside is vast, vast movement. And yet, it's so solid, so strong. the concept that understands this and even our scientists you try and get somebody even a physicist, metaphysicist explain how all that movement is going on inside a solid whole object and they can't they know what happens but they can't explain it at all well the part of it they can't explain the part of it that they can't explain Joe is what holds it together because That's what I'm saying. What causes that movement?
Forces to come apart, fly apart, right? Yeah, yeah. According to the knowledge that science has, it should. It should just, but there's an unseen force that holds it all together. And, of course, they said the answer to that, the greatest minds in the world, the greatest scientists are all believers in God.
they know that there's an unseen power and force out there that's holding everything together they even call it the God particle and they're still looking for it go ahead and read verse 18 to whom then will ye liken God or what likeness will ye compare unto him well there's really nothing to do I missed 17, huh? Did I jump too far? You said... Oh, yeah. No, that's all right.
Did we miss 17? Maybe I just read ahead. Yeah. All nations before him are as nothing, and they are counted to him less than nothing and vanity.
So even all the nations, all these people, all these great kings to him are just nothing. With a single word, he can destroy everything he created. You know, they're God. You know, so they're less than nothing to him.
So the workman melteth a graven image, and a goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold and casteth silver chains. Here, do we have idols today? I mean, the idols, we're not making many statues today. In a way, we do, okay? Today we have idols.
There's some things that people, they almost worship. I know a fellow who virtually almost worshiped his yard. He spent all of his time. He never went to church. I witnessed to him and led him in the sinner's prayer before he died.
But his yard, his yard was everything. It had to be the best-looking yard. It had to be he didn't go to church. and that's where he put all of his spare time. I knew a...
In fact, I tell you, he was so extreme about this. One day, here, Mother Beagle was walking through his yard, and the puppies were following. She had these little puppies following her, and he saw he was going to get out there and shoot them. and I happened to come along and he saw me looking at him and he changed his mind because he knew that it wouldn't end well if he was to shoot that mother beagle with those puppies. And not only I, but there were some other folks watching that too.
People, their cars, some people spend all day in the weekends, what they polish their car, they spend more time with their car than they do with their wife or their children. and everything and anything that takes you away from God. We have statues. We have celebrity worship syndrome where we have all these people who worship celebrities. They spend their time, their treasure.
They buy collectibles. They join organizations. They practically worship like there's a cult of Elvis the King and this kind of thing.
So, yeah, we create our own. Man makes up anything and puts it ahead of God. We've seen that a lot, you know, with Obama. What about that show American Idol? Yeah.
Yeah, American Idol. Yeah, we create our own, right? Yeah. then he goes on to say he is so impoverished that he hath no oblation and an oblation what he's referring to there is simply a sacrificial offering he has no sacrificial offering that he at no oblation chooses a tree that will not rot he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image that shall not be moved I don't know I just cannot wrap my brain around people thinking that they go and they build this image and somehow that image becomes a deity and I just can't figure out how people could come to the conclusion but anyhow he goes and he says Have you not known, have you not heard, hath it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers, that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in. We talked about that last night, didn't we, when we talked about the two men in the bed at nighttime, the two women in the morning who were grinding at the mill, and then the two men in the afternoon who were plowing right in the field. And that can only happen on a round earth, huh? right with the time change oh here you put here it is the circle of the earth the bible knew far before science that the earth was rounded it was a circle he called it a circle round and uh you get into job it talks about the weather the water cycle the you know uh so many things in there that's already been God understood it the what is it the word I'm looking for they call like water vapor is the biggest greenhouse gas in the atmosphere and the Bible covered all this stuff the water vapor they knew what that was in scripture far before science ever figured out that water could be in a vapor form. Oh, yeah.
We see in Job chapter 26 and also in Proverbs chapter 8, it refers to the circle of the earth, that the earth is a sphere. But what Wendy, what we were talking about, Wendy, about when you had the two men at night in a bed, where you had the two women in the morning grinding and then you had the men in the afternoon. It was one place that was morning at nighttime and morning and afternoon all at the same time at different places on the earth when the rapture of the church took place. And so here, so it'll be, again, at different times. Like, for example, right now it's only about 7.30 out there on our stations out in California right now.
And so, wait a minute, we're three hours behind. We're three hours ahead of them. Three hours ahead.
So that would be, yeah, that would be, yeah, that would be, three hours ahead would be 7.30. And we'll be right back after this. I feel so certain about this faith of mine. I'm hanging in there, doing fine. King Jesus is a friend of mine.
I'm blessed by you. Saving babies, teaching sinners. Hell's for losers, heaven's for winners This world is not where it begins I am blessed by you I'm coming home someday Heaven's my way, I'm blessed by you Where the saints all stay And little children play I'm blessed by you Where the saints of old Walk on streets of gold I know that I will see That heavenly prize It's no surprise How happy I'll be Gonna see my family again Gonna be with long friends Maybe soon I don know when I'll bless my youth Gaining treasures, preaching sinners Hells for losers, heavens for winners This word does not repeat yet. I'm blessed by you. I'm coming home someday.
Heaven's my way. I'm blessed by you. Where the saints all stay and little children play. I'm blessed by you. Where the saints of old Walk on streets of gold I know that I will stay My mansion on high Through glorified eyes How happy I'll be Where his glory shines There I'll abide On those golden shores I'll be satisfied Oh, some right day Gonna fly away It's there I'll stay.
I'll be there with you because your words are true. I'm blessed by you. See, that's one, and it'll be the last one, and that'll be the last election that we will win. And that election, that's called the election of the elect, and that'll last forever. Anyhow, I just wanted to make an announcement, and that is that you remember him.
He would be always calling in here C.S. Thunder. And C.S. would always be embedded with the enemy, watching and reporting back. He was our watchman on the wall.
Well, C.S. went home to be with the Lord. He won his election. And this coming Thursday is his. We're going to have a memorial service at 1130 a.m.
for the friends and family at the Resurrection Cemetery. That's the Resurrection Cemetery at 6303 Center Road in Valley City, Ohio. That's 6303 Center Road in Valley City, Ohio. And that's at 1130. And I'll be preaching his service.
All right, now, I've got to tell you this. the power herbs. There's power in those herbs. You've heard this song. There's power in the herbs.
Power in the herbs. Oh, wait. I got that mixed up, right?
Okay. There's power in the blood, huh? But anyhow, there is power. There is power in those herbs. God put it there.
And you can go to thepowerherbs.com or you can go to 866-229-3663 as we go through here. Because after you hear Ms. Wendy, you want to get her catalog. If you don't have it, you want to get it because there's power in those herbs. Tell us what you have for us tonight, Ms.
Wendy. Oh, yeah. So I will. Also, I sent you a message on your phone that you can share with Style. But, yeah, we're going to be talking about this heart drug that was determined by science to be useless and risky.
This is a common, frequently used medications by the population are reexamined and scrutinized, and it can reveal some very important things, like there was a lack of follow-up or no long-term testing. Maybe some of the information was suppressed, like the trial data. There may be ethic violations or even fraud.
So people's lives are at risk when an industry like scientific research gets compromised.
Now, we must change our thinking to realize that your common terms like side effects is used in such a way and to such a degree that you think of them as nothing, as just a long-term tradeoff is pretty much how people think of it.
Sort of like the vaccine brochure the doctor hands you stating there is a 1 in 100,000% risk of the treatment will ruin your life.
So we should really ask about who compiled the statistics and was it the drug company?
So the medical definition of side effect is secondary disease. And why don't they just say it that way?
Well, things that are not properly revealed are to purposely deceive.
So if doctors are told, if they told the patients that we're prescribing you a drug that will probably give you a secondary disease, no one would fill the prescription. And according to August 2006, a survey by the National Library of Medicine, Center for Biotechnology, it said a majority of people do not read the pharmacy printout that accompanies their prescription medication.
So if a majority of people would read it, because it's usually on a sixth or eighth grade level, so the drug literature, if it's not written at that level, then it's not written to accommodate the public. They'll use too many medical terms that kind of confuse people.
So patients simply, the majority of them don't understand what their literature is saying about their drug. Here's a quote from the report. Our findings indicate that these warning labels are not likely to be useful to patients in their current form, especially those with low literacy skills, and it could result in a misuse of the medication. People across all literacy levels found it challenging to fully comprehend unfamiliar and complex multi-step health instructions written at a high school level, end of quote. That's kind of scary, isn't it, Pastor?
Yeah, I would say.
Well, let's look at this new study. I thought it was done on purpose.
Well, you know, let's look at this new study that was very revealing. This is August 2025. This was a very large international study. It was called the REBOOT trial, and it was done at Mount Sinai Hospital School of Medicine, and it reported that beta blockers, very common medication, you've heard of them, they're used for cardio issues, and they're saying they're completely worthless in this study.
So they used beta blockers for hypertension, arrhythmia, congestive heart failure, angina, and also supposedly to prevent a heart attack. Here is a report quote. It said, the massive study also found women faced higher risk when taking the beta blockers. We found that the beta blockers don't help most patients post heart attack, and that was Mount Sinai.
So imagine that. Imagine a heart drug used for the last 40 years as the standard in cardiology care, and it provides no clinical benefit for the patients with uncomplicated myocardial infarction.
So physicians just go by what they're told by the drug companies, and the studies often are paid for by the drug companies, and they're usually written by ghostwriters. and it is really not until there is an independent study of the drug that the doctors find that this was all a bunch of lies.
So the study reported that female heart patients with intact heart with preserved heart function after a heart attack are at a significant risk when they're put on the beta blocker drug.
So what kind of risk was this?
Well, here's the risk, heart attack, heart failure, and mortality. That's the risk.
So they survived the heart attack only to be put on a beta blocker to probably die from that. Here's another quote. This is from Dr. Borgia Ibanez, principal investigator and a scientific director at CNICS. He said, currently, more than 80% of the patients with uncomplicated myocardial infarction are discharged with beta blockers.
This study will change clinical practice worldwide.
So how long will it take for these new revelations to filter down to the patient care? According to the clinical trials, it can be a while. Here's a quote from their report. They said, while it is frequently cited that it takes an average of 17 years for new research evidence to be fully integrated into the clinical practice, the actual timeline varies widely, a reboot trial, which is a clinical trial focused on reassessing an existing treatment, could have a faster or slower impact depending on several factors such as hospital practices, medical insurance, and physician opinion.
So now they know beta blockers will probably put you at significant, even deadly risk, but it may take years before they even change any of that?
Well, that's kind of like the COVID kill shot. I mean, already you have, how many years because they're still pushing it even though reports are coming in all the time right now that I think, what was the number that came out and these numbers were were done by those who uh and i'm well a couple of studies uh yeah looking at the you know the thing and one of them i think we mentioned it on here on the show your show um they were looking at what was what was in the covid shot that made it so lethal and they and they concluded it was the adjuvants the aluminum adjuvants which are supposedly to give your immune system a more robust reaction made out of aluminum, heavy metal. And what's really kind of surprised me is they've known about adjuvant causing a disease. They call it Schoenfeld's disease. It's an autoimmune issue.
So they've known about this since, I think, 2016.
Well, the study that I was talking about where they said 74% of those people that died of COVID had died of the vaccine here, that came from coroners. Those were coroners, a study put together across the country. And here, these are the people that they looked to find out what killed the individuals. And it was the COVID shot. And now, even knowing that, even knowing that, they're still pushing that shot out there.
Yeah, well, so on these coroners that said it was the shot, you know, what if they were looking at a patient who died after getting cancer? Were they blaming the cancer or the COVID shot? Yeah, good question, huh? Yeah, because usually the coroner reports may say myocardial infarction, right, was the cause of death. But they may list something else, you know, where something contributed to the heart attack, like a medication or something.
But usually they put on their heart attack, not that a drug created the heart attack, just heart attack. That was the impetus of the heartbeat bill that we came up with here in Ohio.
So we were sitting around talking about how do you define death? And somebody says, well, you know, his heart stopped beating. And that's how we came up with the implants for the heartbeat pill. Yeah, that kind of makes sense, doesn't it? I mean, you kind of need the pump because life is in the blood, and if it's not circulating, you're dead.
Well the point was as soon as there a heartbeat there life Right And so usually they could detect a heartbeat in these women that are pregnant after as little as 18 days Right. And so if you stop, if you interfere and stop the heartbeat, that's death and murder. That's right. That's exactly what it is.
So, yeah, a lot of people have different opinions on that. But if you didn't interfere with that pregnancy, you'd have a human being that was born as a taxpayer, will have other children usually have a life.
So how is it not murder?
Well, it is, and God tells you that when he gives you the divine institution of human government. Genesis chapter 9, verses 5 through 7, pretty clear. It's defined there. But, you know, the interesting thing is, like, here, in this election tonight, New York City, New Jersey, they chose death. They chose death.
Who did they elect? I didn't hear. The communists, Dumb Mundy. Oh, no. They did?
Yeah. I changed his name from Mandami to Dumb Mundy because it's like the Democratic Communist Party.
So you folks in New York remember this. His name is Dumb Mundy, not Mandami. And, you know, if he hears that enough, he'll change.
Well, that's interesting for sure. I mean, I don't know what's – I mean, there's been an exodus of people out of New York, though. Yeah, and New Jersey, too. New Jersey has lost a couple.
Well, I don't see how people can pay the taxes there. You know, you're looking at on a modest home, on almost no land. You know, a 1,500-square-foot house on almost no land is like 10 grand annual property tax.
Well, not only that, but they're going to get a tax raised as soon as she takes office. and so I mean not only that but she wants to make it mandatory that you know transgender biological males you know can use the girls bathrooms in the schools and you know in New Jersey pretty sick people man in positions of power they attract you know mentally ill people Yeah, I know that. And I just got a message from someone who said that England has just – Parliament has just said the national ID will be mandatory if you want to be employed in the United Kingdom.
Well, there you go. That's where – we're coming up on the number of the beast, aren't we? Yeah. Everything's going to be – Yeah, because you won't be able to buy, sell, or trade if you can't earn money. Yeah.
Well, this process has been, you know, for a long time, it's been coming, you know, all the way back, even before the Social Security number, huh? Yeah, it's been in stages. But, you know, even clinical trials said, get back to this article real quick to wrap it up, it said it's unrealistic for us to believe that a reboot trial will have a full implementation of new treatment recommendations and will also not happen immediately. This study did get presented to the European Society of Cardiology in Madrid and is also published in the August 2025 New England Journal of Medicine and also in the European Heart Journal.
So there's a big difference, Pastor, between medicinal herbs and drug therapy, and that is herbs won't weaken your system, but drugs can. people need to do their homework on any therapy recommended to them do the research find out what your options can be and um i think people need to just be scrutinizing everything now but aren't there some drugs you really got to take in um uh you know in in very small amounts like uh echinacea well they're not considered drugs these are medicinal plants Yeah, I didn't mean drugs. And the point to any supplement, herbal supplement or medicinal plant, is you're not using it long term. Typically, you take it for a number of days or a few weeks, and then you stop using it, and you can revisit it later if you need to as kind of a maintenance thing. But you're not supposed to overuse these plants either.
And here's an example. we we lost our pain herbs for severe pain for trauma injury when somebody decided to use a bunch of them as street drugs we're talking talking about your poppy as the opioids and you're also talking about cannabis so we those are the two two major pain herbs that we lost total use of and it's highly regulated because people misuse them.
So you can misuse a good thing. I had read an article one time that in the very, very early days of Coca-Cola that they actually called it Coke. It had cocaine in it. Yeah. Yeah, my grandmother told me about it.
She lived in Brooklyn, New York. She would send her daughter, my mother, down to the corner pharmacy, and it was like a soda shop and a pharmacy in one thing. And the pharmacist would put a little bit of cocaine in the soda, and she said it would give you a lift. I bet it did. Yeah.
Well, you know, it used to be some years ago, back when I was a kid growing up, A lot of your drugstores, your pharmacies, they did have soda power, soda, you know, fountain there. Yeah, you're talking about the 1920s? Yeah. No, I'm talking about back in the 50s. 50s.
Well, I'm saying they were popular in the 20s, but, you know, once you get to the 50s, I think they were phasing some of those out and separating pharmacies from soda shops. Yeah, they were, but when I was growing up, they would be right together. Their pharmacy would be a drugstore. You'd have a pharmacy, and you'd have a soda shop there, too. It was in a lot of them.
Of course, a lot of things changed, too. They used to have, like, Lawson's. I don't know if there's any Lawson's stores left over there anymore, but those would be delis, and inside the Lawson's stores, they used to have also. They would have, like, a soda bar, I guess you'd call it. Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of ancient medical uses that would shock people.
Okay, let me give you an example. You know when you look at some of the antiquity from Egypt and you see some of the head busts of some of the rulers of Egypt, and it looks like they've got eyeliner on? Yeah. Eyeliner?
Okay. Well, they found in one tomb makeup. A female royal was buried and had makeup, and they analyzed the makeup. And the black eyeliner had mercury in it. And the reason the Egyptians, it wasn't for aesthetics.
It was a medicinal treatment. They would put this black eyeliner with mercury all around their eye to protect their eyes because they were in a very moist environment at the Nile, and bacterial eye infections were a big problem.
So they would put this eyeliner on, and the mercury would kill the bacteria. You know what, Wendy? Joe didn't even know that. No, I didn't. Yeah.
I didn't.
So it wasn't for, you know, aesthetics and a beauty treatment. It was a medicinal, it was a medical treatment. Wow. And usually only the rich could afford it.
So that's why you see the high-up Egyptians had it on.
Well, it's not for me, I can tell you that.
Well, yeah, I mean, so, you know, So there's a lot of antiquity and treatments coming down through the ages. Let me just ask you this, Pastor. You know, our frontier folk crossing the United States, you know, forging to the new part of the United States to build a future. You know, they would put silver coins in the water to keep it fresh so it wouldn't get stagnant. Silver has been known to kill bacteria, so is copper.
and the mothers were pretty much the doctor moms because some of these medicinal practices were passed down generation-driven with the daughter and they would have their gardens and they'd have a section where just medicinal plants.
So a lot of what was passed down supposedly from generation-driven generation was stuff that worked. You didn't pass on what didn't work. They do that. But, you know, today you have a lot of people wear copper bracelets and copper ankle bracelets. In fact, in their shoes, they use copper shoe liners now.
Anyhow. Yeah, there was an interesting study about hospital-borne infectious diseases that, you know, patients would check in for treatment, and then they'd get these infections. and they said that on the surfaces that are touched the most that transfer a lot of these infectious diseases, if they were just plated in copper, you wouldn't be transmitting any of these diseases. People wouldn't get them. But the hospitals won't, you know, on the bed rails, the doorknobs, all these surfaces, they weren't about to.
I'm running up to a break very quickly. You know, silver kills not just germs, but silver bullets kills werewolves and vampires, too. And I heard that that works on other living things. Yeah. All righty.
