On this the twenty sixth day of August twenty twenty five. Boy, summer is going by very, very fast. very fast. Tonight, my young producer And co-host is none other than Style. Hey, Pastor, how are ya?
Okay. Hey, Style, here's a truism.
Okay. If you live as long as I have You will awaken. To the fact that you have become old. Is that so?
Now you I'm going to ask you a question.
Okay. Do you know of any Democrat at all that would ever rise to that level. of discernment. You know, I'm not sure. Yeah.
I don't I don't know of any. I feel like if I asked Joe Biden how old he was, he wouldn't be able to give me numbers in general. He no, he may just say, Who's Joe Biden? He may ask for ice cream. Yeah, yeah, well, there you go.
Uh, yeah, sometimes. It's it's all right to show an old timer's a little mercy. I won't turn down the ice cream. All right. Very good.
I bet Hal's listening. I know Hal wouldn't turn down.
Okay, uh Alrighty, we got a lot to do tonight. Uh We need to get right into the message. The title of the message this week was, You know, before I did that I wanted to see The great Jog County Fair is on this week, all the way through Labor Day. And you Lord's willing will find me out there. This coming Thursday, if you want to stop by and see me, in the right to life booth in the merchants' building.
In the merchants' building, in the right to life booth. From 10 to 2 p.m. On Thursday, this coming Thursday? On Sunday From 2 to 6 p.m. And then on Uh Monday Labor Day from two to six p.m.
So Again, I'll give that a little later out. If you're out there, you're listening, you go to the fair, stop by and say hi.
Alright, the title of the message was Uh Truth? Christians and the true church.
Now We started out with truth. We had gone to John fourteen, verse six and seven. on truth and then I have this Uh divided. I've got a line down the middle of the paper, and On one side I've got the truth, on the other side I've got delusions and lies. And then we went to Matthew chapter 24, verses 4 and 5, and talked about lies.
Then we came back to John 17, 17 and truth. And tonight were an deception Here As we go to 2 Corinthians 4, verses 3 and 4. And that's where I'll pick it up. Uh 2 Corinthians chapter 4. Verse 3: If our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost.
in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not. Lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ. Price. who is the image of God Should shine into them.
Okay, so He's making a couple of points here. Um You know, it's an amazing thing. There are those out there today that have heard the gospel. And, you know, I just just recently Found out someone who I've known for a very long time. And uh I just noticed that just found out that they really didn't believe.
the word of God and they really weren't saved they put on a they put on a big show Uh but I found out just re recently that they they they don't believe in tithing. And there was literally no Around me they're one way. But uh oh. when they're not around me, around other people, they're they're somebody totally different. And so there are those that have heard the gospel and rejected the truth.
of the glorious gospel There are those apostates that take knowingly Pervert, they spin They twist The Word of God to serve their own purposes. and lead people right into sin. Can you tell me, Styles, some If I was to say What are those especially We were to say denominations, if you will, out there today. uh that do that, that um purposely twist and spin the word of God. What would you tell me?
Starting with the apostate. There's a lot of apostate denominations, unfortunately. You know, personally, I don't believe in denominations. We're called to be Christians that are followers of Christ. To me, if you have to put something ahead or behind that, then you're taking a step away from Christ.
So, in other words, you're saying that the government of the Bible is very clear and very simple. Jesus Christ and Christ alone is the head of the church. Then you have the under shepherd, which is the Pastor of the local assembly, and then You have the elders, the deacons, and the Assembly. And so that they're And if you take anyone or anything, And you insert that between Jesus Christ, the head of the church, and the pastor, the shepherd of the local uh assembly Then Do you have a denomination? And so Would you say that uh That would be For example Uh uh the Presbyterian.
Yeah. Or would you say that that would be Uh Eden the Um well, the the Synod, Lutheran Synod. Sure. Or Uh-huh. How about the Well, well, what about the Uh you have the um The Convention, the Southern Baptist Convention.
Okay. would be or The assembly Oh well. Uh well I'm Thinking of I'm having one of my senior moments. One of the assemblies that's in their name.
Well, the Bible makes it very clear. There's one head of the church, and that is Christ himself. There's no. Popes that you need to be bowing down to, there's no tribunals that you need to be bowing down to, there's no Healers that you need to be bowing down to. That's that's not how it works.
So then you do you believe that biblical teaching takes precedent over uh man's teaching that the denominations the very Structure of a denomination is man-made and not ordained of God. 100%.
Okay. Well, you would be right at that because again Uh now If you take a look at that, now what do you think because Uh What do you think a Protestant the d the Protestant denomination is? What do you think that means?
Well, Protestant derives from Protestant, correct? As a rough breakdown of it and the protest, so to speak, that happened is the separation from the traditional Roman Catholic Church. The reason for that implementation, to the best of my knowledge, is because of corruption in the church, i. e. charging for salvation or making up your own tradition and rulings outside of the word of God.
Okay, you'd be you'd be absolutely right there.
Okay. And so Well when it comes to denomination, what was the what was the very first church, do you know? Do you know who the first pastor of the first church was? Who is the first pastor of the first church? His name was John the Baptist.
John the Baptist.
Okay, perfect.
Okay, he was the first that had a following.
Now. Here uh A lot of what has got Baptist in their name Are not Baptist at all. They're they're actually Protestant. A hundred percent. uh actual true Baptist, maybe I would say maybe ten percent of those that have Baptists in their name are actually Baptists.
No. Actual Baptist is not a denomination. actual Baptist is a doctrine. You find that in Hebrews chapter five and six. It just stays with those that practice and hold to the fundamentals of the faith.
That is what God. called Baptist, a kick. Uh here And and of course I don't I don't believe that in the first church well they John the Baptist's followers, he was their pastor, their leader but They didn't refer to themselves As Baptists. Do you know what they referred to themselves for the very first time? What they were called?
Uh, outside of Christians, I don't know. The way those of that way. That's what they were referred to. They referred to him of that way, meaning Christ. And then later on, they were referred to as Christians.
Uh Do you think that that was a term of endearment? Christians? Yeah. Yeah. It wasn't.
It was actually it was referred to when the by the Jews and uh The heathen Oh, interesting. I didn't know that. Yeah. Just like Today Yeah. you know, we are referred to those people if you're a mega.
By the liberal media or by those on the left. It's a it's a they refer to you in a derogatory t uh tone. And so here now, as we go through this, Yeah. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe.
Not unless the light of the glorious gospel of Christ. who is the image of God Should shine into Well Here today, we talked about the Apostate Church out there, the UMC United Met Methodists, the United Church of Christ, the Episcopal. that of in the liberal Lutheran churches, um The assemblies of God. That's what I was trying to think about, the assemblies. It was another was another Uh Something in her uh inserted between Christ what you would call denomination.
But anyhow But in in these here, they've actually twisted The word of God to make it say what it doesn't say at all, okay. For example What do the the left wing, the liberal churches teach that the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was? I I d I know it's not uh Correct, but I can't remember what they say it is. In hospitality, that they were not hospitality. Yeah.
I'm not kidding you, okay? Uh what do they say about what does many of them teach? about Jesus Um Being Not a not a heterosexual, but Jesus being a a homosexual. On that and you have people saying that he was a woman?
Well, Christina? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they're actually that's what that St. John's church hot in New York used to have.
a a you know, a of a naked woman upon a cross. And that was uh Krista, not Christina, Krista. Krista, that's the one. Leo. And then uh uh oh, they are so I was remembering where they were offering up their sacrifices of abortion.
To some of their gods that they refer to.
So they. They twist uh the scriptures they they in the feminist Bibles, and so on and so forth.
Sophia is another one of their gods, okay? They're feminist gods. But that's the apostate church. The apostate church holds to having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof, so they They hold to abortion. In other words, if it's a sin They embrace it.
If it's a sin of sodomy, they embrace it. If it's a sin of pedophilia, they embrace it. Uh And they've they've they've totally left What God's Word the Bible teaches.
Now, within those denominations There may be some s some Congregations are left that have not totally apostatised. I had a situation where I had a friend who was a was a another p a pastor years ago And uh he He was the pastor of United Church of Christ, and I told him, I says, It won't we know. Why don't you come out of there? You know that that that that whole Uh they're apostasy. They totally apostate.
He said, well, he says, We're going to change that from within. I said, Bob, I've never seen ever that y you could change it from within. And uh about five years later He comes up to me he said, Well, it finally dawned on me he said What you said, you were right, he said. We finally Our church has finally voted to leave. They write the They're not coming out, they're they're getting worse, if not better, as far as embracing sin.
But he was one there was a congregation there within that that still wanted to hold to and he taught the Bible, he taught the Word of God, okay? But he was the odd man out in that congregation. But this is exactly What God's Word, the Bible, says it would be like in the days in the end times. In fact, It says it makes it very clear If you uh read in 2 Timothy chapter 3. He says, In the last days, the last days.
Now In the other place it talks about later days or and end times, but here is very specific that on the days The days that are just prior to the return of the Lord. And then they give a litany. of the characteristics And attributes of the people of that time boy and it and it it's the only time in all history where every single one of those apply to us today. Uh here in America.
So but then what it then when we take a look at that Uh here today the What you call the Prosperity Church Uh Can Can you serve two masters? Can you serve God and mammon? No, you cannot.
So teachers Church teach that you serve? Who do they serve? Who does Joe Holstein serve? Joelstein serves himself. Yeah.
Uh Mammon. They serve mammoth.
Okay. And here And all of those and and the so called the word of faith. They tell you That Uh Here That what makes God happy, what makes God happy is making us rich in material goods.
Okay. How easy is it, according to the Lord Jesus, for a rich man to get into heaven? Not very easy. Oh.
So they tell you, they teach, the Joel's team teaches and and um, all of those in the Prosperity Church that, uh, Now is the time to live the good life. To live the good life.
Now here on earth What does the Bible teach? The Bible teaches you get the good life as a reward.
Okay. Well Yeah, it's a good life. That's right, you place up your crowns in glory, huh? And What is going to be the difference between, say, the rewards here on earth What what would Uh somebody whom we get to heaven. What What in what way would it be much better than Uh in which way would we have it much better than, say, Elon Musk has today here on earth?
Well, Elon Musk certainly has a lot of money to spend here on earth, but if he doesn't have faith in the Lord and put him first, then he's not going to have life everlasting in paradise. All right. So When we get uh when we get to paradise. Will we ever get sick? No, sir.
Okay, can Elon Musk get sick? He sure can. When we get to Paradise, will we ever age in a day? Not true. We will not.
Okay. When we get to p to Paradise, will we ever have pain? Nope.
Now, Elon Musk's He spent a lot of money and he's a smart guy. And those rocket chips But Elon Musk would need a rocket ship to leave this earth. When we get to heaven, we won't need a rocket ship to leave this earth, will we? No we won't. And now Elon still has to to Struggle with gravity.
with all of his you know, you still have to overcome that gravity thing. We won't have a problem with that, will we? I don't think so. And so Elon Musk still has to d deal with The Liberals. Out there today wanting to set his cars on fire and his house on fire and whatever.
Uh We won't have to deal with any liberals at all, will we? Yeah. So we'll we'll have it a lot better than Elon Musk, won't we? Oh wait. All right, let's move on here to We're gonna go now to Uh Help me see the We're going to look at the true Christian, the true Christian.
We start in Romans chapter 8. And um Hmm. Get these pages turned. Here and we go over to Romans Chapter eight Yeah. Starting with verse 28.
And we know that all things work together For good to them that love God, In them Who? the called according to his purpose Okay. I spoke about this the other night. Uh, do you remember we had that big contro you weren't there, I don't think, when we had that big controversy. Um with a guy called the gospel kid there at the radio station.
I was not. And um And I know I've s told a story before. I was driving in to the station and I was listening and and he was saying Uh Jesus died for everybody. Can anybody tell me Jesus didn't die for everybody?
Well, I I said, Well, I'd better help him out. You know, I'm the older pastor in here, so I called him and I said, Actually, uh he didn't die for everybody. And he said, Well, you have your own program Don't bother mine and he hung up on me. He didn't know I was driving on my way in, right? And so Anyhow Why is it How is it that we know?
for a fact that that Jesus Didn't die for everybody.
Well, I guess in in kind of a roundabout way, because not everybody dies for Christ. Not everybody accepts Christ and goes to heaven. Right, so What is Godfield at? Nothing.
So that if Christ had died for everybody, everybody would be saved, right? Correct.
Okay, is that kind of what that Universal salvation teaching is.
Sounds a lot like it. They say that that, uh, all set has been paid for Don't worry Live the way you want because you don't have to worry about that anymore. You're in the clear, huh? It's not exactly what the Bible teaches, is it? No.
So then the question was Who did God die for?
Well that's answered here. Let me read this, he said. We know that all things work together to good to them that love the Look, God. To them who are called according to his purpose.
So he died for those that one love him, those he died for those that were called according to his purpose. In whom he did for Uh for no.
Okay, now So he's he's telling you that he he died for those he did foreno. He also did Predestinate to be conformed. to the image of his son, that he might be the first born among many brothers, Uh so he di those that he did predestinate Okay. Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called so he died for those that he predestinated those that he called. To whom he called them he also justified so he died for those that he justified.
To whom he justified, he also glorified.
So he died for those that he glorified.
Okay. So Now here We read something here. starting with that first verse twenty eight. That true Christians love God. And true Christians are called of God, okay?
And so In fact, he tells you in Ephesians, wouldn't it? That we were called before the foundations of the earth, huh? And so here Uh We know that true Christians will spend eternity in heaven. And the Lord says that I I go to prepare you a place. Did he go to prepare a place for everybody on earth?
No. No, just for those that were covered by his blood. And so He died for those to whom his blood was applied, Was his blood applied to everybody on earth? It was not.
Okay, now. Was The blood sufficient. To take away the sins of everybody on earth, past, present, and future. Absolutely. You're right, it was sufficient, but It only took away the sins of those that it w was applied to, too, huh?
Everybody has the option to be saved, but not everybody will be saved. Right.
Now does God know Who would accept him and who would not accept him even before the foundations of the earth, since we existed in the mind of God? I would assume so. That's what you call predestination. He Even though uh we didn't exist physically, we existed in the mind of God. And everything that exists in the mind of God, is that as real as everything that you can touch and feel?
Yes, sir. You're absolutely right. You're a smart young guy. Will be. Back right after this.
When the British armies came from across the bounding main to attack our native shores in their saving ships of war to establish tyranny by the orders of a tyrant king. Paul Reaver read his alarms and the people took up arms and they fired up their guns and the greens electric guns and the bells would be won and the bells of liberty would ring. Those men who fought to keep us free were not afraid to die. They drew their strength and courage from his power upon high. Then cried this battle cry, No king, no king.
No king but King G. Yeah. Don't move. Uh No. Yeah.
No king, no king, but king gee. Peace uh The Holy One of Israel. The Holy One of Israel. Through the toil and the tears and the last 100 years, we have fainted. From the fight for his liberty and life, we've been blinded by the lies, so we hardly know what's right from wrong.
As the anti-Christian hordes and the global overlords now surround us, holy saints and the capitalated saints, just like Israel alone, we now find ourselves in Babylon.
So now's the time for all good men to seek his face on high, and bow to do his will on earth, and rise in friendly fire. The light. And quite as fellow crying, O king. Low king, low king, but king jee. Jesus the Messiah.
Hi, a snow king. No king, no king but King G. Use us. The Holy One of Israel The Holy One of Israel So now's the time for all good men to seek his face on high And bow to do his will on earth and rise up and divide Alive. And cried a swell cried, Oh king, no king!
No king but king jeez Jesus. Love my side. Fire. No king, no king, no king, but you hold You are the Holy One of this right, the Holy One of this right, the Holy One of this right. All right, no king but King Jesus.
And that's the reality, folks. Not everybody believes that, but everybody will, for sure.
Alrighty. Did you know style? Man, I'm telling you. I don't we don't have to worry. about crime anymore?
The the Democrats are saying Well um Trump You talk about roper doping, folks. I'm gonna tell you. Uh Trump. has put the Democrats in a position where they have to defend the totally indefendable positions. I mean, this is an amazing thing.
Not only is is he running the Republican Party, he's running the Democrats now. Uh because they've decided that whatever he's for, they're against. And Uh and so This is gonna reflect pretty heavy on the um come election, I think. But the Democrats, you know, they just had their their Uh summer meeting there's Summer campground meeting, did you know that in Minnesota? Oh yeah?
Yeah. And it was like a douster fire. Uh you ha you had I mean Absolute, complete lunacy. And so Here The Democrats are saying The voters Are really not concerned at all in DC, the District of Columbia, Washington, DC. They're not concerned about that the people there that live there are not concerned about crime.
Uh They don't want it the change. In other words, they they're saying, We want to keep it just the way it is there. But you know they had that big do you know they had that big march last week, right? Right.
And did you know that that was the protest? Trump bringing in the uh National Guard. Right.
Did you know that In that parade that there was that Protest there was not one black person.
Now the protest was for the black p community there all that were so heavy duty crime ridden. But there wasn't one single black person. It was all Old white hippies And Do you know why that was? Why is that? Because it was Renam mob.
There's that company out there that that rents mobs. They'll they'll get together, they have people that that are paid to come and it's very expensive. But you can get a mob together pretty fast to come protest whenever you want them to protest. I'll protest and sometimes a little bit more too, right? Yeah, yeah.
Well, and this Bob, I don't uh th these people, they probably They they pretty much stick to trying to keep it legal because that's the what they do for a business. They can't afford to be put out of business.
So they tell them here they actually They'll actually make up the signs and things that they carry to to keep it. uh, within legal limits so that they don't they don't end up going out this is their business, you know, so But uh anyhow It's unbelievable knowing that um We don't have to worry anymore. Because In fact, that mayor Johnson there In Chicago. He said they do not have a problem with with with crime in Chicago. And uh Do you know how many murders they had in Chicago last year?
It's one of the capitals of the world, isn't it? Six hundred. Six hundred murders last year. And so The people in Chicago, especially those on the south side. They're begging Trump to please bring Bring the troops.
Bring them in. Bring the National Guard. Please come in here.
Okay. Over this past weekend you had six people killed, shot and killed, twenty three Twenty three were shot, six were killed. This past weekend. What the The mayor, do you know what his popularity rating is? I assume it can't be great.
7%.
Sounds about right. Yeah. That's so He says that they do not have a problem with sin. You know what else he said? And he will fight Trump if Trump tries to Uh, do away with the crime.
They want he wants to hold on to his crime, that's his crime, and so. that the people there will fight to keep the crime. Do you think they will? No, and and again, it goes back to the point you made before of that this isn't This isn't the citizens of these places that are saying, you know, we don't like Trump, we don't want the National Guard. And honestly, at any point, if your state or city would be governed properly, you shouldn't want any kind of outside force in there.
I don't want any kind of National Guard in Ohio or Cleveland. But if you're at a point where you don't have any other choice because your politicians aren't listening to you and crime is rampant, and that is your last resort that your citizens are crying out for, then it's time to bring that in. When you have politicians in offices in these localities, like in New York, like in California, where they don't care about the people, they care about opposing Donald Trump, despite what he says or does, that's the issue.
Well, they said that they would be They would oppose him on everything. They would be in the opposite of whatever he is. He is fourth, they would be against. They had that big suburb.
So drunk. Trump says, Well, then I'm I'm for success. And put the Democrats in a position of saying that they were for failure. And uh Can't win many elections that week, can you? No, and I think that's a common issue we're seeing Supremely with the left.
Obviously, you know, that's been their slogan for a lot of different places and a lot of different periods of anything Trump's for, we're against. And that's a big issue, and that's, you know. I can go into a whole rabbit hole about the two-party system, but you're looking at the lowest of the low in intellect when you have someone that says, no matter what this one person says, I'm against it. I don't care about any of the factors. Or on the flip side of that, you have people that idolize Donald Trump and think anything he says and does is a godsend and perfect.
Those people are just as bad as the people on the left. That's interesting.
Well, yeah.
So You're you're saying that there In fact, I I I preached a message on that. I'm not that long ago where where people are have tried to DeFi Donald? Right.
Yeah, that's that's dangerous. It would become very dangerous if Donald started believing it. And I I think that's where a lot of Current issues lie is it's not even so much anymore you hear of. You hear Republican Democrat thrown around because they're key words, but it's not opposing the Republican Party, it's opposing Donald Trump, it's not supporting the Democrat Party, it's not supporting Donald Trump. And the sooner that people start to realize, and I don't think we're anywhere near that, unfortunately, the sooner that people start to realize that It's not about one person and should never be, the sooner we can actually get along as a nation.
Well, yeah.
That's true. Uh What does the Bible teach it is about? It's about God. That's what the Bible teaches. It says that the the to give God the glory Uh that he And there is none other besides him, okay?
And so when the Prosperity Church say that What makes God happy is is making us wealthy And that if if you're having problems, if you're in in poverty and you're you're sick and that It's because you don't have faith.
Okay. Uh So, my Bible doesn't teach any of that. My Bible teaches that it's it's h it's harder for a rich man to get For it's it's easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle for a rich man to get to heaven, but But my Bible teaches me that through this life that we're living we will have trials and tribulations. And they're saying no, If you if you do have trials and tribulations, it's only because Uh, you don't have any faith.
So, does that mean if I pick up I got Fox's Book of Martyrs over here. And I started reading about these people in in that book. That they were martyrs for lack of faith? I suppose so. Yeah, that so that's what the So that's what they they believe.
I I always find it interesting too that when you talk about these prosperity preachers, now I've I I will put on the record I've never been to one of these big mega prosperity churches nor do I plan on going to one. But from everything you see out of them, you know, It's very clear in the Bible what you're supposed to be preaching out of, correct? It's the Word of God, not to add, alter or delete from the Word of God. But you look at these pastors, quote unquote pastors, these prosperity preachers like Joe Olstein, like Ernest Angsley, like Kenneth Copeland. And it seems like they're talking about their books that they publish a lot more than they're talking about the Bible.
Like with Rick Warren. with his purpose-driven life book when Steve Doocy on Fox News. called Rick Warren America's pastor, and they said he's bringing the gospel by the train load or the plane load to Uganda and Rwanda. And then they showed the gospel. It wasn't the Bible.
It wasn't bringing the Bible. It was Rick Warren's purpose driven life book that was filled with deceptions from cover to cover. filled with deceptions, okay, very cleverly crafted deceptions too. But uh I gotta have a feeling that Steve Doocey is not that biblically literate, huh? What makes you say that?
Okay. So since Democrats are against whatever Trump is is for. Trump's is for law and order, so They're against law and order. Again So Trump came out and said, Well, you know, I'm for success, they're for they're for failure which Uh Here that that At that meeting, uh It was very interesting some of the things that They were saying, okay. They st they buried they started a hole, meaning outpi.
Condemning Americans, kidnaming all of us, for stealing the land away from the Indians. And the interesting thing is the tribe that they use Yeah. that had their land stole Away from them by Whitey, I believe it's the very same tribe that took that land from another tribe.
So that was interesting, too.
Well, here's the thing I always come back to when it comes to that, and it's a similar conversation when you talk about the Civil War, right? And when it comes to the land originally being held by by Indians, by Native Americans, absolutely it was. Were you know the English and Spanish showing up and conquering the land correct and civilized? Absolutely not. But it it wasn't like it it's It's not theft, it's a conquering.
That is how every nation around the world has ever started is by conquering land. Am I going to sit here and advertise for it? Absolutely not, but it's what happened. It's just like winning a war, you gain the land. Should you know, after World War II ended, should we go back to how the map was set before that in terms of Germany and Poland and all the European nations?
Probably not, right? There was a reason that war happened.
Well, who does the who does the Bible say that the lamb belongs to? Lamb belongs to the Lord. That's right, it belongs to him now. Uh he It doesn't Give that land to anyone. The scripture he refers to it.
He allows he allows whoever he would have to have possession of the land, to possess the land. But the land always belongs to God. In fact, he says the earth and the fullness thereof, everything else, everything on the earth belongs to God. And so Here uh I find that's very, very interesting. that they would they would make that statement and here w what we see them Battling bloody, bloody all these people dying over there in Gaza and in Israel and we and we look over in in Ukraine and Russia They're all fighting over that land that doesn't belong to them anyhow, huh?
Well, I know that's a thing that gets brought up as a point of contention a lot, too, is: you know, how can you be. A Christian or call yourself a Christian and then actively advocate for border security. But the problem with that argument is that we're not saying that people can't have the land or can't be here on the land. That's perfectly fine, but there's rules and laws in place to make sure that you're not going to harm anybody else in the land and you're going to be an active member of the society, just like everyone else in it. Very good.
Did you know that ninety percent of the people that were killed in D C. We're black people. Did you know that?
Now, Trump wants law and order and he wants uh to protect that.
So then that means That Trump says Black Lives Matter And the Democrats say they don't. Because the Democrats said there is no problem with crime in DC. No. Did you know what what uh Trump says he's gonna do? That he is going to make it in a nation's capital, anyone convicted of murder.
g gets the death penalty. What do you think of that? And It's always one of those things for me. You know, I I As much as I believe. that someone who takes someone's life does not deserve their own.
It's also one of those situations where wouldn't it be, you know, more detrimental for that person to spend life in solitary, right? Wouldn't that put them through more anguish than an easy way out? While I'm not openly against the death penalty, in fact, I think I favor it more times than I don't. Um It's it's certainly an interesting conversation, but then it gets into the aspect of well, how are they treated within the prison system?
Some prisons are very lush and prisoners have, you know, three meals a day on a soft mattress and some of them are Alcatraz, right? Yeah. Well, here's the situation. I spent fif forty five years ministering up on death row. No.
That's what the Bible tells you when God gave us the divine institution of human government. He gave us the statute of the death penalty in that, okay? Whoever destroys the image of God okay uh has to forfeit their own life. No. That's there's no stuttering there that was clear.
But after saying that here in Ohio I'm against the death penalty. For a very good reason. What do you think that is? What's that?
Well, He goes on to give you What is legitimate government? What is legitimate? In other words, If if if I was to go ahead and put on a policeman's uniform and pull you over, and give you a ticket. You know that I'm not a cop, right? Right.
So how legitimate would my ticket be? Wouldn't be legitimate. Right, because I did not Uh I w was not uh in conjunction with whether s statutes or laws.
Well, what's happened? Our government has gotten so far away from what God, what God has, what God's word, the Bible teaches, which is lawful. has gotten so corrupted now Uh, we know I know of seven different men we've helped to get off of death row because it was proved that they were innocent. And because in our judicial system today, here in Ohio. Guilt or innocence is really not that big a factor.
It's whether or not you get a win. I I saw a situation where you had a The prosecutor And the defense attorney After yelling at each other in the courtroom went out, I heard em talking. About going to to lunch. They De uh public defender said he was innocent and you know it and the prosecutor said sure he's innocent but a win's a win. That's That's the mindset.
Remember what Hillary Clinton said when when she got that guy off for raping that little girl, that little ten year old girl, of ruining her life. Um Sh but she got him off. Hilary got him off. And Hilary said this He was as guilty as all hell. He says But I got him off anyhow and she laughed.
Because he raped that little girl.
Well and and that's the other gray area of this whole thing, right, is there was some story I did about a month or two ago about some state I wanna say maybe Arkansas, somewhere around there instituting a new way or bringing back a new way of the death penalty and actively hiring executioners because of that. And another aspect you look at is well some of these guys spend their life on death row And die before they even make it to execution. And again, that's the double-edged sword of. If we have something that is deemed evil enough to to be sentenced to death. You have guys that are waiting here for twenty, thirty, forty years, and some of them absolutely should have gotten the chair or lethal injection or however that may be administered.
But then, like you said, there's also people who are innocently and wrongly convicted that are put on death row. And so, where do you make that split of Yes, I'd like to be pro-death penalty for a number of reasons, but you also run that risk of a failed judicial system. I'll let you handle that. I don't get paid enough to handle that. I think, you know, in a perfect world, and this wouldn't work out in any means, but I think in a perfect world, the ultimate, you know, no.
No excuse death penalty would be anyone who harms a child. Uh, any kind of pedophile, anything like that, I think that should be, you know, a guaranteed death sentence. And at that rate, I think, why are we have waiting with a death row that needs to be, you know. In and out, done within a year. Did you know that there's actually one source, only one source of absolute lawful authority, and that's God's Word, the Bible, And do you know that the Prison was never given to us.
Prison was never given as a form of punishment. That's something that the world took upon themselves, okay? Uh he made it very, very clear. And like if and if if In fact in Scripture if you If people knowingly Convicted an innocent man and that man was put to death, the people that c convicted him knowingly had to be put to death too. And so and here It doesn't work that way in our judicial system at all.
Uh I I've been I I've been through s in so many courtrooms in there, you know, on behalf of the inmates over the years. And I've s and and sometimes I was there on behalf of the victims in uh Boy, I'm going to tell you, I had a a whole different idea of the judicial system, you know, than when I when I was a young man going in there. I thought that uh they were the good guys and they put the bad guys in jail, but I found out that Basically, we got Just like in the Department of Corrections, you got two groups of criminals, one in charge of the other, you know.
Well, implementing something like that, I I can't speak on, you know, how the chain reaction of it might go in terms of who's accusing who, but at least having the statute of you know, if you wrongly convict someone and it's later proven that they were wrongly convicted and got the death penalty that that person who put them away also be sentenced to death, you know, at least having that in the system as Some form of repercussion, I would hope that would Encourage people not to sway the legal system so much, but who knows? Everyone would just be trying to save themselves at the end of the day, anyway, right? Right.
Well, Trump wants to make capital punishment for anyone who kills anyone in the Capitol. But now the Democrats today If you're a You're the the perpetrator, you're the criminal, if you're a murderer. And they'll they'll be go fund me. Yeah. Like that guy that that shot that, uh Insurance the CEO in the backing murdered him like a coward.
He they made a hero out of him, okay. Uh this guy is a child sex trafficker. Um this Arbrego, or whatever, his Garcia? They're making a a hero out of this guy, okay. Um That's you know, that's that's what Democrats do, that's what those on the left do.
They you know, they make heroes out of the the worst of the worst. No. Here. But But but you should be worried about this. The Democrats say that they are going to go underground, that they're actually already going underground.
And they're gonna stay on their ground until they figure out a way, and then they're gonna stop us. That's what they said.
So Are you worried? I'm shaking in my boots.
Now, here's something else. You had this apostate. at their meeting come out. And he said this: that these people don't realize that they call themselves Christians. but that D E I is the foundation of the Christian Church.
What do you think about that? D E I is the foundation of the Christian Church. I think I'd have to ask for some biblical source material for that one.
Well, The Bible says that Christ is the foundation that the the church is built upon him. And uh I I'll I'll go with that. And not Peter either, right? Right.
Yeah, you can't build something that's alive on something that's dead, huh? That's right.
Okay. If you do, are are you gonna go to Cracker Barrel to eat from no one? I I will. You know, I don't care that much. I will.
It's it's corporate minimalism. I think it's a stupid design. They already agreed to sip uh send it back, but Yeah. They re they repented, so they did the right thing, so we'll give 'em a break. But um I still haven't gone Uh to One of the the baseball games.
Remember the Cleveland Indians? I do remember the Cleveland Indians.
Okay. Well, I used to go to the games every now and then. I'd not told I did go to a few. But, um, I haven't gone to 'em since they changed their name because I didn't like that because it was because of woke. And I I hate woke.
I really hate woke.
So Anyhow We're coming up to a break. Do you know what? The tariffs so far this year have brought in three hundred billion dollars Um And they expect. They expect that it'll hit reach the point That it points it'll start breaking in one trillion a year. What do you think of that?
I don't doubt that it's brought in that much, and I would hope that that trend continues.
However, I do. Have some questions about where that money is going because the price of gas is back up and It's not going down any time soon, it looks like. Yeah. Alrighty. I know we're coming up to the break.
Uh, there was a big reason why the price of gas And just shut up and and uh I'm trying to remember what it was that was in the news, but it the price of gas did shoot up. In fact, it went from I would hear it went from a The three oh nine to Three 29 at one time and one swift move. Yeah, I think within a week I paid, it was at $277 and then it was almost $340 the other day when I got it.
Well, this this happened in one move within an hour. I mean it went, you know, just for one shot and uh Uh there was a big a a major reason for that And I'll have to Try to remember what that is.
Okay. Okay, we're coming up to a break. When we come back, we got a whole lot more to talk about tonight. In fact, I think you know what I'm gonna do? I think I'll open the phone lines early.
You know, that's what I'm gonna do. I think I'll take the phone lines early You ready for that?
Okay. We'll be back right after this. But a whole hell lot more. Don't go away. Eight eight eight six seven seven nine six seven three.
