Unabashedly cutting through the rhetoric by exposing the hard topics facing our society and world. A lot of the other news media don't pick up the news items like he does. I can tune into your show and hear the unvarnished truth. Thank you. This is What's Right, What's Left with Pastor Ernie Sanders? Good evening and welcome to another edition of What's Right, What's Left, The Voice of the Christian Resistance on this twenty seventh day, twenty seventh day of July already. This summer has gone by so fast it's unbelievable.

And um Tonight.

Well He's next to none when it comes to professionalism, okay?

Some say the border is magnificent. Only some say I haven't met them yet. And that is Kenny. Good evening, Pastor. Good evening.

You ready to roll tonight? Always.

Okay, the title of the message tonight is Those that esteem God's Word lightly are doomed to pay a heavy price.

So We're going to start there today in James chapter 1, verse 20 through 25. For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. In other words, Um when man gets vengeance And um It doesn't usually And well, because it's not compliance with The righteousness of God. Wherefore, lay apart all filthiness. And Superfluity.

Hm. Do you know what superfluity means? I do not, no.

Okay. I do. I suppose you want me to tell you, right? Yeah, that'd be nice. That means Giving it more than it needs to be.

Uh overdoing it, you might say.

Okay. When he's talking about the provity of naughtiness. In other words, Having more naughtiness than is necessary. I don't know how much is necessary. and receive with meekness the engrafted word which is able to save your souls.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only Deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, He is likened to a man beholding his natural face in a glass, for he beholdeth himself and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner. of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work. this man shall be blessed in his deeds.

So Here when he talks about Be you a doer of the word, not a hero only, deceiving your own self. Um Yeah, 'cause if you just live if you just hear the message and don't actually live it. Then You're again, like you said, deceiving yourself. Yeah, it's it's a very, very sad thing indeed to to witness people, especially loved ones, people you care a lot about, deceive themselves when it comes to Being obedient to the word of God. You know, from Genesis to Revelation, the one thing that God demands more than anything else is obedience.

But somehow Uh people seemed to take it lightly. Taken, you know, it's like, well, yeah. You know, I, I, you know, I, you know, I, in most things, in other words, Yeah. You know, I believe in God. I'm looking around, I don't see him, so maybe if I don't see God, he doesn't see me.

Maybe they're like, you know, but the idea is, I mean, that's. That's what they're they do indeed.

Okay. And here, you know when you tell them and And all these years, I've been preaching this message for so many years. He says But if he be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he's like a man beholding his natural face in a glass. for he beholdeth himself And he goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. You know Um Well, my my wife and I We're um married the last house we were in that I built.

We uh We had in the bathroom. There Uh, you had dual sinks. You know, at the bathroom counters there, you had two sinks there and in the mornings we would be in there together. I'd be shaving and she'd be putting on her her ma what she'd called putting her f up on her face. And they're interesting 'cause I I used to calculate a lot of things, like wonder how many times How much time because she would spend now, I would be there.

I would shave, you know, in You know, I be Finish saving, I I smile in the mirror. I might look like seven miles of bad highway. And then I'd walk away with shaving cream behind my ear. I'd still have shaving cream. People would say, See Do you know that you have shaving cream behind you and I said, Well, yeah, that's where I keep it during the day.

Where else are you supposed to put it? You can't put it in your pocket. But my wife she would get real up close up close to the mirror. And she'd look You know, a cheap study. And and I often wondered Why it didn't cheat.

I know she's not listening, so I can say this. But but but she would put on lipstick that was pretty much the same color of her lips. I mean What was the point? Yeah, and so what I would do is sometimes I would time her because I'd be in and out and she'd be in there for a while and and kind of calculate How much time she spent on that mirror, okay? But but the difference was She knew what she looked like when she left there.

And I was the guy here. that walked away, uh Forgetting right away. I was the one walking away with a shaving cream behind my ear. Yeah. And so Well here He says, But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty See, we have liberty in in the Lord.

All things are lawful, you know. But Not all. phase are helpful to us, okay? And so being a Uh he says And continue it therein. He being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

And that's what what we continue to try to tell people, listen, if you're gonna Take anything lightly. In other words, There's a lot of things in this life that you can take, you know, with a grain of salt. God's Word is not one of them. No, no. God's word is that if you're going to take anything, don't let it be God.

He's believe me, he's paying attention. He keeps a record. That's the absolute worst thing you can take lightly. Yeah. And people do that.

And they started that with life itself. Do you know the very first command that God gave man, what it was? Um Um Be fruitful and prosper. Be fruitful and multiply. Yeah, multiply, yeah.

That was the very first command. And by the time, from Genesis 1 to Genesis 9, he said it three times. And so here That's kind of a big deal. People don't take that those who go out there, especially today with abortion. Mm-hmm.

They take well And you tell people, and I'm talking about professing Christians, I'm talking about professing Christians. Who will say well you know It's it's Legal. I you know, I know that it might not be but it's legal. In other words, say, well, If it's legal, it must be lawful. No, there's a lot of things that are legal that are not lawful.

Okay. And so they take it lightly. And I remember hearing I had a woman that was on here, she used to run Her name was Carol Everett. And she ran a number of abortion mills, uh in Texas. And She told me what w she got saved.

She came out of there. She got saved in Uh she wanted to talk to me real bad when I was speaking into uh the the pro-life convention there in DC. And I sat down with her for a while and um 'Cause she w she wanted to get a lot of things off her her conscience there. But she was telling me, she says, you'll often hear these women will say, Personally, I could never have an abortion. But I'm not going to judge a woman that does.

She said, That's code in the industry. That means they've had probably already had at least one. Hmm. That was your code and uh That's because yeah, they don't want to admit it and they don't want to be judged either, so. Yeah.

And so here So they they don't take life. They don't take life seriously.

Well, yeah, okay, so Uh no, I I won't let me tell you, I can't be around. People are the pro deaths. Mm-hmm. In my opinion, you know, and and and this comes from you're either pro-life or low-life. You're either pro-life or low life, okay?

That's what I mean. You just can't trust them. No, you can't. You can't. And did you know that if they're willing to kill a baby, what else are they willing to do?

Yeah. But you see, there's a mindset out there, especially in the news media. They they talk about it. I watch the Spectrum News and they they those people on there talk like, Well, you know, it's a woman's right, it's a constitutional right. That's a lie told by liars.

That's a lie right from the pit of hell, okay? And boy, they th they better not say that in front of me, you know, w when I'm there because Those that have have regretted it seriously. But Here Do you know what God's word in the Bible says about that? First of all, it's the transgression of God's dominion. In other words, you've broken into God's house.

And the Bible, God says that those that have killed their babies deserve to die and burn in hell. Yep. Unless they repent.

Okay. And so That's what God says Now, if you're going to uh Choose between what God says and what society says, you'd be a lot better off to choose with what God says because. You see, it's society that's going to be on their knees before God, not vice versa, huh? Exactly. He's going to be, and he is immutable.

He doesn't change.

Now, here's what he said in the Old Testament. He said this. He said, I need. He said, I call heaven, and this is Deuteronomy chapter uh thirty, verse nineteen. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing.

Therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live.

Well, That thou mayest love thy LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him, for he is the life. In the length of the days, and thou mayest dwell in the land, when the Lord Swear unto thy fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give thee. And so You tell this to people and they'll kind of look at you, Yeah, but see that's the Old Testament. And that was what God did in the Old Testament.

Okay, but we didn't throw out the Old Testament when we got the New Testament. No. I mean we still have the entire Completed. Works of the Bible, the complete word of God here. I mean, it's not, it's just part one, and then you got part two with the New Testament.

It's just because it's the Old Testament doesn't mean it's not valid.

Well In a sense, the New Testament's simply a commentary of the Old Testament, and you you're watching the prophecies made in the Old Testament come coming, many of them coming due to fruition in the New Testament. But Here God is immutable. God's mutable. He doesn't change.

He doesn't change.

He's the same today, tomorrow, forever.

So His Word is every bit the same today as it was 6,000 years ago. It's just as valid. Yes. Just as valid. It's still in play.

And so Those words are again as true to day as they were when he spoke them. to Moses in Israel.

Now yet so many very, very deceived and often professing Christians justify abortion. Because It's legal and accepted by an evil and godless portion of society. The next is the very first Divine institution that God gave that God gifted man with. Do you know what that very first divine institution was? Would that be marriage?

Marriage in the family. Yep. That was the very first divine institution that God gave man. And if we go over to Genesis And in Genesis chapter 2. We read versus It drives me nuts when these pages stick together.

They are so thin, these in this Bible. It's just And when they They st they stick together. It's hard sometimes getting them to peel apart, huh? But I'll do it. I'm not I'm a doer of the word, not a hearer only.

Genesis chapter two, verses twenty one through twenty Five And here's what we read. And that's the wrong okay. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam. And he slept. And he took one of his ribs and clothed up the flesh there instead thereof, And the rib within the which the Lord God had taken from man, Maybe a woman.

and brought her into the men. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman because she was taken out of man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And they were both naked, and the man and his wife, and they were not ashamed.

So we see a couple of things there. Here Uh God gave us the deaf thee institution of marriage in a family, and he gave us He gave us the definition. of marriage. One man, one woman, one lifetime, w in the Lord, right, joined together with God. And so and and by the way Uh Men were always males and Women were always females, okay?

Yes, that doesn't change. Yeah, okay. It's immutable. And here Uh today Marriage, you know what has what has happened? They've they've soiled it.

the institution, a divine institution on marriage, the courts. made made legally to soil to soil Um to pollute, to pervert, Uh they they this The courts have gone against God, okay? And they legalized what they call same-sex marriage. It's not same sex marriage.

Okay. The marriage is between a man and a woman. God. had had already that's the law, that is what's lawful, okay? And what they've done when when they called Sadas sodomy, you know, two two males or two females together.

First of all, the very first term is called an abomination. An abomination. Which is not a good thing. And so here Uh it's also called fornication. And so they've they've taken and they've soiled.

And in our society it's like, well, You know, I don't really go along with it, but you know, it doesn't bother me. It should. There's a lot of to each their own people out there.

Well, when God in the in the early days, they would have been stoned. When there was a when there were a better a higher quality, a higher class of of people. They would have been stoned, huh? Yeah, back in the day they would have. Thanks so.

And then today, do you know that That marriage and divorce are almost at at par? In other words, just about for every marriage now there's a divorce. I am not. Do you know what With the second shortest verse. And the Bible is I do not.

We're gonna find out here Uh in just a minute. Because today And there's there's a lot of reasons for that. Uh Here I was listening Two. Oh The fellow There was on on on Fox News I'm having one of my senior moments. The guy that's out there everywhere you turn nowadays, turning point.

From turning point, Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk was on Fox News.

Now see if you've heard this before. And he was talking, they were talking about D divorce. Why there's so much divorce? And Uh he has said well, he said that Today, he said, That women These young women are are going to college, and in the universities, they're indoctrination centers. Where have you heard that before?

And remember, you know, we've been saying this for years. that when I went to college I would say seventy percent of those there were males and maybe thirty percent females. Yeah, probably most of your professors were as well. Yeah, yeah. And here But then Today, these women are going now the Bible states that the area that that uh s the devil, Satan attacks, the enemy attacks men is in the area of pride, which is obvious, okay?

But he attacks women in the area of discernment.

Okay. And the devil, believe me, is very w you know, obviously they're very well aware of that and all of society out there. Communism. Communism is really Satanism. And so They purposely in these universities they they purposely Uh belittled.

the males, the men, especially the white males. Uh They tried to turn them into second class citizens, okay? And They weren't taught they weren't taking it very well. Uh this is why Well And when it comes to To marriage Oh. A lot of these guys you know, we're afraid, you know, because of these women who th that have become feminist.

They've learned how they've learned to belittle their husband instead of respecting him. Right. That's exactly what they do. They disrespect their husbands, okay? And so Uh In fact, they're they're being taught out there today That you can have it all.

This is what they're teaching the mindset. And I'm talking about these are the kind of women you see, like those on the view. And you see these, especially those in the media, Democratic Party women, okay. They teach them that you can have it all. You can have the security of marriage and a family, the security of a job.

And have and still have as many uh bed partners. You can have an open marriage. Because this is a new age and we're not under the neon dothal age where Uh women had to have just had to be faithful to their husbands, okay? infidelity to now is accepted by society And and so women are Well much more easily influenced by society than men are, okay? And so Here Kirk was talking about all this, and we've been telling people this for years.

So these women, they go to jobs, they go to college, and they want to be lawyers. They all want to be lawyers. They want to be able. To rule over a man in some way. They want to have authority over a man.

Doing exactly what the Bible tells you not to do. They go, they want to be. They want to work in human relations, HR, okay? They want to be socialist workers. Um If they become lawyers, then they could eventually become a judge as well.

Right. And so what's happening and now they They're they teach these w women that whatever you do before your marriage, Okay, uh It it will not count after you get married. In other words, Whatever you did before marriage never should be brought up. uh after you're married okay And so They don't that and they tell them you don't have to tell you have no You're not obligated to tell your husband about your prior sexual experiences, whatever, okay? And so they believe that.

And then they you're just starting off dishonest. Yeah, but what happens is They go ahead and one day they're out sitting out in a restaurant eating or something and some guy notices them, Hey, I remember that one And boom, he's over there, Hey, do you remember that night we had? and uh Things aren't gonna that's not gonna end well. Their husbands, what do you mean? What are you talking about?

Okay. Mm-hmm. So he finds out, you know. Hey, I'm married to a whore.

Okay. And so Here Uh And then The other thing too Her own. these guys You know, again, like I said, that that they They don't they've been they trend now away from college, they're moving away and um They're going Out into the trades. And that's where the money's at. That's good.

The money's in the trades. What do they wanted? Like they needed, what, 40,000? Welders? were are you know, that that the country is short and So they're going back to that.

They don't trust uh the women there therefore sometimes they don't want to get married uh nowadays And so And here Uh and and so and not only that but They don't have respect for him.

Okay, well I mean it's it's like anything in life. You you really need to be picky and Don't rush into anything. Like know knowing Um Knowing a lot of people who who did rush into marriages and They kinda just One with whoever said yes, you know, regardless of the of that that person's um Passed or Or even just their nature, just the type of person that they are, regardless, you know, and then. And you find out. along the way Like, and then there's troubles because you're rushed into things.

You really, you gotta remain picky out there and. Don't just settle for anything.

Well, marriage is something you have to work at from the very first day to the last. That's always the first date I've been married fifty seven years, okay. You didn't stop working on it fifty-six years ago? No, no. You wouldn't be married today if you did.

I happen to know that my wife's not listening to the program right now because she's doing something else. I can say this, 57 years of wedded bliss. 56 for her and one for me. Yeah. I love that one.

I gotta use that. I gotta use that. Anyhow. Oh, that's good.

So. Here, God gives us, if we're just obedient to the Word of God, things that work out so well. Over in E in Ephesians chapter five, verses twenty two through Um 25. We read this: Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands. As unto the Lord.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, and he is the savior of the body.

Well, you know. Over in Isaiah. uh chapter seven where it talks about Uh The Lord Being Well That They Oh. The government will be upon his shoulders, upon the Lord's shoulders, the government will be upon well, we, the church, is the body of Christ. And this is one of the what he's talking about throughout history.

The governments. been after you know, persecuting the church. Mm-hmm. And and goes on to say Um Therefore, as the church is subject into Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives.

Even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it. In other words, you know, we are to want to protect our wives, we're we're to love our wives and and uh like Peter says, them being the weaker weaker vessel.

Now Here Uh God had noticed some some things where He makes it very, very clear if we go over to Malachi chapter two Uh that um He doesn't appreciate when husbands mistreat their wives. And in Malachi chapter 2. We read. Verses thirteen through seventeen And this have you. Have you done?

Again covering the altar of the Lord with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand. Yet you say, Wherefore, because the Lord hath been witness between thee, and the wife of thy youth. against whom thou hast dealt treacherously. Yet is she thy companion? and the wife of thy covenant?

And did not he make one Yet Had he the the residue of the Spirit. And wherefore one, that he might seek a godly seed, therefore take heed to yoursel your spirit. and let none deal re treacherously against the wife of his youth. For the Lord God of Israel saith that he hateth putting away.

Now, Putting away is divorce, and And most of your New Age uh b Bibles like the NIV, the ASV, they they don't use putting the way they put divorce. And that's the second shortest verse in Scripture. God hated divorce, okay? And then he goes on to say. For one covereth violence with his garment, and saith the LORD of hosts, therefore take heed to your spirit that ye deal not treacherously.

You have wearied the LORD with your words, yet you say, Wherein have we wearied him? when you say everyone that doeth evil is good, and in the sight of the Lord, and that he delighteth in them Where is the god of judgment?

So First of all, God is telling him Look. I'm seeing the tears of your wives. You're mistreating your wives. Um I gave you that wife is uh uh a wife is a good thing. And it's and it's not going unnoticed.

And uh there's gonna be heavy consequences for Yeah and especially by putting away In other words, what they did is they took Moses, you know, given the laws for divorce. And it was supposed to be for serious situations, you know, for infidelity. Infidelity he could either put him away or stone him, but Um If a woman was just flat out lazy and didn't want to work, okay. Or a number of reasons that we're Legitimate reasons Uh for one interview Um You know, you know, put it put away. You know, if a woman just nagged her husband continuously.

but especially disrespected him, disrespected or disobeyed him. then that was that was uh all allowed for a divorce. But these guys They perverted that. In other words, they would divorce their older wives and, you know, claim, well, She burnt my dinner. Or Uh She didn't do a good job washing my clothes.

They would j they they were divorcing them and taking younger wives, okay? And it even got at times so bad that During ploughing season when Um a a a man would would could trade his wife for a oxen, a team of oxen, and then after the the the plowing trade back. And you know Um treating them like less than people. And God made it very clear that uh He didn't appreciate that, that when they treated their wives that way, it would not end well for them. And Here today, and when he was talking about violence here.

Uh For the LORD the God of Israel saith that He hateth putting away For one covereth violence with his garment.

Sometimes they would Abuser wipes. And beat their wives, okay? And Oh. God was especially and there was especially A heavy duty. Penalty for doing that.

Now. These guys were I mean, you know you heard about Dumb and Dumber? Yeah. Well, that's where they went to. They went to Dumb and Dumber, okay.

You read that last verse. You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet say, Wherein have we wearied the Lord? when you say every one that doeth evil is good, and in the sight of the Lord, and he delighteth in them, or whereas the God of judgment. And so here You go over And I want to read to I'll jump over here for a minute.

Um Verse 13, your words in chapter 3, your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet you say, What have we spoken so much against thee? You have said, It is vain to serve God, and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinances, that we have walked mourningfully before the Lord of hosts? And now we call the proud happy, yes, and the work wickedness are set up, yea. Yea, they that tempt God are are even delivered, okay?

And so here In other words, what they were doing. is they were saying, look, God, We're hip. We get it, we understand, right? You're saying one thing, but you're doing another. You talking about how you love the poor and the weak and Uh And yet We're watching and we're seeing.

You're blessing the wicked. The wicked are prospering, they're becoming wealthy. And and the poor are not.

So we get it we're you know In other words, they're Telling God he's a lawyer Mm-hmm. Not a good thing to do, right? Nope. What is it what did the when the Lord Jesus was asked Why does God allow the wicked to do wickedly? Remember, He said that.

That God in His mercy allows them a little pleasure for a short season. Because that's as good as it's gonna get for them on this earth. Right now, these rich men like Bill Gates, George Soros, and their wealth, that's as good as it's ever gonna get. From here, things go south. They go real south, okay?

The very instant they're dead, they know that. And here Going back to these these guys that mistreat their wives I remember One time. Uh I uh had gone to the doctor's office and in there, whenever I would go in there, I would take pro-life tracts and and gospel tracts and I would put put them on the tables, but I would also put them in all the magazines so whenever people opened the magazine they'd find that. Uh you know, in these places that Allow You know, abortion, child killing. I I put the truth in mid, they'd have to look at the truth.

And so one day when I was leaving there, I it was a good little sprint to my car, you know, out in the parking lot.

So no sooner had I hit that pavement when there was a cloud burst. I mean it just started pouring. And so I'm running and in that rain it c was coming down in sheets. A car pulled up. It was a great big full-size.

I think it was either Oldsmobile or Pontiac, but. A woman rose the window down and She says, Here, you left this on the table. She handed me a track. I said, I left that for you. And She said can Do you have a minute to talk?

I mean it's pouring rain, right? Yeah. I look at her, she's got two black eyes. Both her eyes are you know, not the not just like you know, for not getting enough sleep. These were Black eyes that she'd been pulling.

And Normally, I don't jump in a car with a woman, especially I don't know, or anybody I don't know, you know. But in this situation I was getting wet, very wet, and so I jumped in the car with her. And Uh she said I I don't know what to do, she said, I know I'm supposed to be a She professed to be a Christian. And she said, I know I'm I should be obedient to my husband, I know that. And I she believes I believe what God's Word, the Bible, teaches.

But pastor, he won't let me go to church and I And it's like I can't I can't rest. I just got I have to go to church and and she said, This is what happened to me when I went to church when I came home And she said, I know, you know, divorce is wrong too. And she said, I don't know what to do. And I said, I do She says, What's that? I says, Invite me over to your house to talk to your husband And she said, Oh, he can be violent.

I said, That's all right, I'm used to violent people. And so she said, I'll ask him. Let me ask him and see. Maybe he'll talk to you, okay? And so And I says, Let me know.

So I didn't hear for her for about two weeks.

So one day I brought my film in to that little Kodak booth they had out in the in the shopping center. to get the Um a film, you know, developed developed, yeah, and so here it's her. She's in there and that and she's got this big smile and she she she looks at me And she says God bless you, Pastor. I love you, she said in a I said, I what happened to you? I never heard back from you.

And uh She says Uh Well When I went home. And I told him That you wanted to come over to our house and talk to him about me going to church.

Now, he listens to you on the program sometimes. When When I told him that, He said, Never mind, I don't want him over here. You can go to church. You can go to church. And he said, It's even better, Pastor.

You won't believe. He's going to church with me now. Wow. And I I said, That is good So she says, I don't know how I can ever thank you I said, Well, it wasn't it wasn't that I did a whole lot No, but I I can't uh I can't imagine how someone could listen to you on a regular basis and be like that. I don't know either.

And um Well It seems like he turned it around, which is good. But yeah. I've had to deal with a a lot of marriage constant in my in my time. And Uh I've had to deal with with Well Guys that are that are are very short. with their wives and you know and and some strange there's some strange things for example Uh there was a guy who I knew very well, was a good friend of mine for a long time.

And one day Well there was a I could get together. Um He up and just whacked and smacked her his wife, I mean, big time. And uh I went over there. And I said, You want to give me some of that? And He said, It's not what you think.

He says, Believe me, he said, Well, anyhow, he told me, he said that Um Yeah. She She won't stop, she'll nag me. Anag me enagme. And she he said, The only thing that'll get her to stop If if I whack her Then she seems happy. And I noticed What he's saying here all of a sudden She's she's all right.

She's uh she's not arguing any more, it seems like. Like what he said was true. He you know He uh He he walloped her, okay? And, uh, so that I I decided to kind of watch this and, you know, not you know, ki kinda listen to 'em. you know, on the side, not that they knew I would be listening to it.

And I and I noticed she was doing that to him. She would aggravate him and aggravate him, you know, and push him to the point. That's not a good thing to do. That's not healthy at all. No, it's not a very smart thing to do.

Uh but But then again Um Yeah, when you have a situation like that, you know, there's uh it's time to Walk away, huh? You know, and I and I don't know Why It's I don't know, s it could be that maybe they feel When they do that, maybe they feel Um I don't know. they they feel j justified or it's like Penance to them that uh now they got what they deserve and they're happy. I don't know. But You know, marriage is something you have to work at from day one.

And And again You know, today these smartphones These smart these smartphones are major, major. uh problem uh when it comes to divorce.

Somehow there's a mine set out there Um And these that these these smartphones that That's that's their private domain. And Um The husbands have no right to To know what's on their wives' phones and vice versa. When that is not true, not only does the husband have the right. But he That is is his job. He needs to.

He's got the responsibility. That's a part of being a husband. The wife is the weaker vessel when Uh When she's on her phone and and she's laughing, he says, What's so funny? And all of a sudden she puts the phone down, she won't let him see it, and uh when she changes Um The the code and password so he can't get in. Huge red flags.

Right. When uh She gets a call and then she leaves the room right away, goes in.

Someplace else, you know, another room to talk, and she speaks down low. These are big red flags. But what's happening is there's this teaching or this mindset that. Oh She's allowed to do that, okay? And again, That husband has the duty, that's his duty to know what his wife is doing.

And by the same token, Um But she's got every right to see what's on his phone and who he's talking about. Yeah, that goes both ways. Oh, absolutely. You know, my wife and I, we don't we you know. We don't have any secrets.

They're not supposed to have any secrets from each other.

Okay. And that's the whole point of becoming the one. Right. Well that's that's the whole point today of this this open marriage thing Um what's the sense of being marriage? Married if You w you're talking about this is infidelity.

And They tell you that it's it strengthens a marriage. Do you want to know what the facts are? The facts are an open marriage is Within four years within four years 94% of open marriages end in divorce within four years.

Okay. And I believe that. I 100% believe that. Yeah, the price is not 100%, actually. Yeah, well well, I'm talking about what happens in four years, probably maybe a hundred percent, maybe take six years.

Maybe five, yeah. Yeah, five. But here Then we're going to move on to the next thing and that's tithing. Tithing. Here While we're still in Malachi, I want to go over to chapter 3, verse 6.

For I am the Lord. I change not, therefore you sons of Jacob, are not consumed. Even from the days of your fathers you are gone away from mine ordinances. and have not kept them. Return unto me Turning to you.

Saith The Lord of hosts But you said, Wherein shall we return? Will men will men rob God? Yet you have robbed me. But you say, Wherein have we robbed thee? and tithes and offerings.

You are cursed with a curse. for you have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring you all tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, And prove me now, where saith the Lord of host, if I will not open You, the windows of heaven, and pour out your blessings that there should not be room enough to receive it. Let me ask you a question. Uh how much does God need your money?

He doesn't. God God doesn't need our money, does he?

So Uh Then why are we required to tithe? Um as a sacrifice as uh a thank you. an honor, like to honor God and to to thank Him for everything that we have.

Okay, so What we have to tithe, where did we get it from who? Wait. Got it from God.

So it's God's it's God giving us an opportunity to give back a little bit of what He has blessed us with. Just to kind of show appreciation for all of our blessings.

Okay. So But tithing is isn't is not a suggestion, is it? No. And so tidings should never be something uh to make you feel forced to do it. It should be a blessing to be done cheerfully because Again, God's provided us.

with the means to give back to him just a little of of how he's blessed us here. And so Uh Today If um If you go on a vacation, let's just say you decide to go on a vacation. Uh For for six months.

Okay. Do you uh do you get uh to be able to uh not pay your electric bill or uh your heating bills or whatever for phone bills for six months s since you're on vacation? No, I mean they might be lower, but you still gotta pay whatever is owed.

So you're required to pay your utilities, right?

Now When people somehow there's a mindset that when people often when they go on vacation or something, well, then they they don't have to tide, they're they're gone and When they come back, they don't have to make that up. Do you think that's what God means? No, not at all. That means that Uh You take and you put God's Word ahead of everything else. First, the very first thing off the top.

is you you you put your tithe money in. And so a lot of people you know, I take tithing, they they take it with a grain of salt, right? And so, uh here do you think God keeps a record of that? Absolutely. Yeah, he certainly does keep a record of that, McKay.

And I don't know. God's not mocked. God's not mocked, and like he says, listen, will a man rob God, yet you have robbed me?

Now now it If God says by holding back on your tithes that you're robbing him, I take that pretty seriously. Yeah, probably not a good idea to rob God. Right. And so Here again When he's talking about Placing up treasures and crowns in heaven. For those that are saved, when they get to that Bema C judgment.

You know, that's when you get your rewards, or where you lose rewards. He's going to say, you know, do you remember here? When Tithes were dew You weren't tithing. Right? You're going to lose your crowns in heaven, aren't you?

Yep. And so Of those Uh this is something that we see often people and none of these things we talked about tonight Do you take God lightly? You don't take God lightly, okay? Um It seems to be a mindset. People look around and say, Well, I can't see God.

Therefore God must not be watching me. And that The way it really is, is it God is everywhere whether you see him or not. I mean that he's there. Absolutely. I want to go to 1 John 2.

My little children These things write I unto you, that you sin not.

Well, holding back on your ties is a sin. Uh when you I disrespect your marriage vows. That's a sin. When you Take a Take Life. Lightly, that's a sin.

Okay. Did the Lord Jesus preach more on sins of omission or sins of commission? Um Sins of omission. You're right, yeah. Do you fail to do?

My little children, these things write I unto you that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous. And he is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him if we keep his commandments. He saith He that saith, I know him, and keep not his commandments, is a liar.

And the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word in him is Verily is the love of God perfected, hereby Know we that we are in Him. He that saith saith, he abideth in him on himself also, So to walk even as he walked. That's kinda clear, isn't it?

Okay. And so I can tell you this. for folks who who take God real lightly out there. Uh In all of these things, I would seriously Doubt your salvation. You know, I preached the message, and the Bible says in three different places to make your salvation sure.

Make your salvation sure. know that you're really saved. Mm-hmm. A lot of people are are being deceived. Today.

The vast majority of people are being deceived. In Matthew chapter 7, the Lord Jesus said. Many are called, but few are chosen. Many come, but few will enter. And he said, in those days many will say, Lord, Lord, in thy name, did I not cast out demons and this and that?

And the Lord Jesus says, Depart from me You w workers of iniquity, I never knew you. In other words, Um They were Only saved in their own mind, huh? And so those that take the Word of God lightly, I would really, really. Say You better take a good look. You better make your salvation sure.

You better shape up. Yep. Speaking of them. What must you do to be saved?

Well, the first thing you need to do to be saved is you got to admit that you're a sinner. And that the only only the Lord Jesus Christ can remedy that. Romans chapter three, verses twenty three through twenty five. The next thing is repentance. There are those out there in a word of faith movement that says repentance is not necessary for salvation.

Yeah, they yeah, that's what they say. That's what they preach. You must be willing to turn away from sin and submit to God. Acts 3:19. Believe.

That Jesus died on the cross, shed his blood to pay the price for your sins, and that he rose again. Matthew twenty, twenty eight. Seek sanctification. A heart cleansed from all sin. 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verses 3-7.

Obedience from Genesis to Revelation. The number one thing that God demands more than anything else is obedience. Obey Christ's command. and be baptized. Matthew 28, 19.

Spend time every day in prayer. and reading God's Word the King James Bible. And folks, th that is the Bible. the King James Bible. There's a couple hundred counterfeits out there today.

But And I'm talking, I'm not talking the New King James, I'm talking about the King James Bible. And so I know we're we're coming to the the end of the program tonight here. But in all of these things that we talked about, you know. Old Solomon had a saying. over in Ecclesiastes.

And It was just a couple of verses. And remember I told you Earlier. Yeah. That in Ecclesiastes chapter 12, that was me. Yeah.

Well in Ecclesiastes chapter twelve. what it's referring to. is um It refers to a our body is a is a house, okay? Remember now the The Creator in the days of thy youth while thee evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh. wherein thou saith I have no pleasure in them.

While the sun or the light of the moon Anyhow, he goes on to talk about he compares your eyes uh with the windows and Uh Your legs and your knees and all of these things. But the last thing he says. Uh in this chapter. Verse 13 is this. Let us hear The conclusion of the whole matter Fear God.

Keep his commandments. for this is the whole duty of man For God shall bring every work into judgment. with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil, So there you go. Here it is. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter.

Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty. of men.

Well We're at the end of the program, like we get here every day at this time. I want to say thanks for being here with us tonight. I want to say good night. Good night. I want to say God bless.
