You ready to roll tonight? Always.

Okay, boy, I'm going to tell you. You and I will we'll just put on a complete show of genius, won't we? Always.

All right.

Well, the title of the message is Believer's Baptism. That's simple. Believers' Baptism. And you know There's uh if I was to say in a few words what is baptism? Uh, what would you say?

Um kind of a rebirth.

Well, yeah, well, that would be good. Baptism is an outward profession of an inward possession. And that means you're you know, when you're baptized, a believer's baptized, baptism means you're professing to the world. that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Saviour.

Now We're gonna start tonight in Uh Matthew chapter three, and we start here in verse one. In those days came John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness of Judea. And saying, Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Now This is the very first of thirty-two different times of occurrences of the phrase kingdom of heaven. Um No, it If Israel, you know, what is the kingdom of heaven? You know, is there a difference between the kingdom of heaven And the kingdom of God. Um I would think so. I mean, the kingdom of heaven would be Like for all of us at the end, wouldn't it be?

Well that kingdom of heaven will Would have been the uh ushering in the Millennial Kingdom. the kingdom of God is right, but all but they are used sometimes back and forth, so it's It's not a a real solid doctrine in some r respects, but The kingdom of God basically is is in heaven itself. where the where God's thrown is but here He's talking about the kingdom of heaven, head. Had they received Christ as their Saviour. Then they would have ushered in the kingdom of heaven, which would have been the millennial kingdom.

And boy, I'm going to tell you, it sure would have saved Israel a whole lot of suffering, huh? Absolutely. would have saved the entire world a lot of suffering. You're not kidding. For this is he that was spoken of the prophet Isaiah, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye The way of the LORD make his path straight.

Do you know who that one was? It's that fellow called John the Baptist. And you know what we know about John the Baptist? I'm going to tell you that John, you know, we used to play that song Big Baptist, John. Mm-hmm.

The next time we play that, and I want you to think on this, okay? John the Baptist, do you think John the Baptist was greater? Then No. Then Noah? Let him know.

Probably. Do you think he was greater than Abraham? Probably. How about Moses? Mm, that's a tough one, but probably because uh he's usher in in Jesus, you know, and like he's like right Pre preparing people for Jesus' coming, and he was coming soon.

What about King David? I would have to say yeah. All right.

What about Elvis? Absolutely. I'm telling you, I don't know if John the Baptist could sing, but I know Elvis can't baptize everyone. I know the. I know I I re remember if I'd asked that question some years ago When Elvis was still singing, a whole lot of women would say no, no, no.

But anyhow, Let me tell you about John the Baptist. I know a lot about him. Did you know that? I I assumed you did. Yeah, one of the things about John the Baptist.

He was the very first Question Referred to as the Christian. Uh In a real sense by many theologians, the very first real Christian. He was the The very first Christian Prophet? He was the very first Christian pastor He pastored the very first church. And finally, he was the very first Christian martyr.

He was all those things. And Jesus said of him Men born of women Before John's time, there was none greater than John before his time. In other words, Up until the time Of John was born, there was no greater man than John the Baptist. But there came one. Shortly after him, that was greater.

Do you know who that was? No, that would be Jesus Christ. Yeah, he was born shortly after John, huh? And w was that is it true that they were cousins? Yeah, they sure were.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Okay. But now that's an interesting thing because we're going to take a look at this and John is going to say, I never knew him, one I did not know, but uh What kind of a sense was he talking in?

Well, look at that. And so Here He was prophesied back in the Old Testament. When we take a look at Going back to Isaiah chapter 40, verse 3 through 5, we read this. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord. Make straight the desert a highway for God Every valley should be exalted, and every mountain shall be made low And the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain.

And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Okay, so. He was the voice of one that was crying at the wilderness and then If we read over in Malachi In Amalachi chapter Three, and just first one. Behold, I will send my messenger. He shall prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant whom you delight in.

Behold He shall come, saith the Lord of hosts and of course that was John the Baptist they were speaking of, huh? Mm-hmm. And so I wanna well I think I'm gonna jump over. Two. The Gospel of John, and in the Gospel of John.

Chapter One And and pick it up in verse Uh nineteen. And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him. Who art thou? And he confessed. and denied not But confess I am not the Christ.

And they asked him. What then? Are you the Elijah? And he said, I am not. And Art thou then the prophet?

And he answered, No. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them They sent us What saying thou of thyself? He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord. And the prophet And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

And they asked him and said unto him, Why baptise thou then, if thou be not the Christ or Elijah? Or Isaiah Isaiah, neither thou for the prophets John answered them, saying, I baptized with water, but there standeth one among you whom you know not. It he it is who cometh after me is preferred before me, whose shoes latcheth I am not worthy to unloose. These things were done. And Beth Barra beyond Jordan.

Where John was baptizing. The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. You know, I forgot to tell you, there was one thing that John was the very last he was the very last at. What do you think that was? Um Profits?

Yeah. He was the very last Old Testament prophet. This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man. which is performed before me, for he was before me.

So How do we say that? I mean, John was born before Jesus. Yeah, but I mean Jesus was eternal. Preexistent, huh? Yeah.

And I knew him not.

Now look at this.

Now wait a minute now here here we now here's a question. They were cousins Mm-hmm. They grew up knowing each other.

Now, when he says I knew Him not, do you think John didn't know that Jesus was Messiah? Um probably not as they were growing up. And maybe figured it out. Later on, Okay, but do you think that Jesus may have known who John was? Oh, oh, of course.

Yeah. I think so. And John bear records saying, I saw the spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. And I know him not. But he that sent me to baptize with water The same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending And remaining on him.

the same is he which baptizes with the Holy Ghost. And I saw and bear record that this is the Son of God. Again the next day after John stood in two of his disciples. And looking upon Jesus. As he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God.

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Now they followed Jesus because They were John's followers. John actually. Was the pastor of the very first church he had a congregation. Already. And now he said, he told his disciples, that Oh is it the He will increase and I must decrease.

Then Jesus turned. and saw the following and said, Unto them, why seek ye? And they said unto him, Rabbi, which is to say, be an interpreted master. Where dwellest thou? And he said unto them, Come and see.

And they came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him. That day. for it was about the tenth hour. And one of the two which heard John speak and followed was Andrew, Simon, Peter's brother. He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah.

which is being interpreted through Christ.

Okay, so I'm going to stop right there. And I want to go now Over two. Acts chapter 8. And in Acts chapter 8, start with verse 9. But there was a certain man called Simon, which before time in the city, use sorcery and bewitch the people.

of Samaria, giving out That himself was a great one. Boy, do you think we have some of that here today? And there's way too much of that going on today. Yeah. to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest saint, This man is the great power of God.

and to them they had regard because that of a long time he had bewitched them with sorcery. But when they believed Philip, now here. Philip is the one that's come preaching, and Philip is the one that's doing the baptizing here. Preaching and the things concerning the kingdom of God. In the name of Jesus Christ, They were baptized both men and women.

Then Simon himself believed also, and when he was baptized he continued with Philip. and wondered beholding the miracles and signs Which were done. And when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto him Peter and John. Who, when they were come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost. No.

Remember, John came Baptizing them. They Henry. Um for repents, okay. And so Here's His message was salvation through repentance, salvation through the Baptism of John. Who else was doing that?

Who who was preaching repentance For a hundred and twenty years. Um Was that Moses? Noah. Oh, Noah.

Okay. Noah preached repentance for 120.

So now.

So there John comes preaching a baptism of repentance, salvation through repentance. For as yet he was as yet he was fallen upon none of them, They were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

So now.

Here Uh, the apostles have preached and s and also Here Philip was preaching in uh in the name of Jesus. not this time the Apostle Paul, He was still Having a Christians arrested and jailed. At this time.

Okay, so. Then they laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Now, They did not Rebaptize them, okay? No. Uh where Do you know what an Anabaptist is? No. See a lot of people.

They think that Anabaptist means anti baptist. No. Anna means to re to do over To redo. That's what the word anna means, to redo. And I'm an Anabaptist.

All true Baptists, all true Baptists are Anabaptists. That means. We rebaptize people. that might have been sprinkled as an infant, as a baby, Yeah. Uh And so, you know, and I've done a lot of that over the years.

People realize that they really weren't baptized, okay? Because we're gonna take a look at What actual baptism is. And so here Now they didn't rebaptize them, they just laid hands on them and prayed over them, that they would receive the Holy Ghost, saying, Give me also now And when Simon saw the through laying of the Apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given He offered them money.

Now, how is that different than today with the believers' baptism? How does that work today with the believers' baptism? Um I'm not sure what you mean.

Well, you received today. We receive the Holy Spirit once we're baptized. not once we're baptized, once we're saved. When once we get saved, We get baptized because we're saved, not to be saved. And so.

Today with a believer's baptism, We're baptized once we've already received the Holy Spirit. And so there's a difference between receiving the Holy Spirit and. being filled with the Holy Spirit. that that will come and Well that's that's another message, so let me move on here. Saying, Give me also this power that on whomsoever I lay hands he may receive the Holy Ghost.

But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money? He must have been One of the prosperity preachers, huh? Kevin Copeland, how old are you? Thou hast neither part Nor lot in this matter, for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent, therefore, of this.

Thy wickedness, and pray, God. if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. for I have perceived that thou art in a gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. Then answered Simon and said, Pray ye to the LORD for me that none of these things which you have spoken come upon me. And when they had testified and preached, The word of the Lord returned to Jerusalem and preached the gospel in many villages of Samaria of the Samaritans.

And then I want to go over here. Acts chapter 8. I just passed it up.

Okay. We we were in chapter eight, weren't we? Oh, well that's right. I'm going to Acts chapter nine.

So in Acts chapter 9, Start in verse twelve through eighteen. And hath seen in a vision. a man named Ananias, Now this is now after Paul had his experience. On the road to Damascus. Uh where Paul saw the light.

And here Uh Now he was. Uh He was Uh well after he well let me just read it. And as he journeyed he came into Damascus, and suddenly there shined around about him a light from heaven, and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling And astonished said Lord, What wilt thou have me to do? And the LORD said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

Now Boy, Paul, you know, he was really impressed here, right? I mean Uh here because we know that when this happened He saw this bright light, and those that were with him fell. But they couldn't hear the voice. Only Paul could hear the voice. The Lord's speaking to him.

And so now Uh, you know, Paul's whole A mission just up and changed. Mm-hmm. And he trembling and styling said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do there.

So now A jumping ahead. He goes into the city, and he has seen in a vision a a man named Ananias, coming in, and put in his hand on him that he might receive his sight. Then Ananias answered and said, Lord Now the Lord Jesus is telling Ananias this, that Paul has already seen this vision of you laying your hands on him. And Ananias answered and said, Lord, listen I've heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to the saints at Jerusalem, And here he hath authority from the chief priest to bind all that call on thy name. Do you think Ananias should have known that Jesus was aware of that already?

Yeah. Yeah. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way. For he is a Chosen vessel unto me The Bear my name. before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel, for I will show him great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

And Ananias went his way and entered into the house, and putting on his hands on him. and said, Brother, saw the Lord even Jesus. that appeared unto thee in the way thou comest hast sent me that thou mightest receive the sight and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes what had been scales, And he received such forthwith and arose and was baptized.

Now A lot of people get confused about bapti baptism. You're supposed to be baptized, and I know you can't always do that nowadays, the way things are. upon the moment of conversion, And so You know, you might meet somebody there Riding on a train or a plane, and have a conversation with them, and they may say this in his prayer, and right there receive the Lord.

Well, it's kinda hard to baptize somebody on a p train or something.

So It's not done, but in in those days many would hear the and they would be baptized immediately upon receiving the Lord. they would end up at the river or the lake. No. Now I want to go over uh to Acts chapter 10.

Well in Acts chapter ten. Verses 14-18.

Okay, let me see. Did I have? We were just in nine. Uh today I'm wondering if I Okay, yeah, I'm I got it now. Starting with first.

Fourteen. Who shall tell thee Words whereby thou And all thy house shall be saved. And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them and On us in the beginning. Then remembered I the words of the Lord Jesus how that He said, John indeed baptized with water. but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Forasmuch then as God gave them Like the gift He did until us also believed. On the Lord Jesus Christ. could understand could withstand God.

So when they heard these things they held their peace, and glorified God, saying Then had God also to the Gentiles granted repentance. until a new life And so here We see Peter is doing the baptizing here. And then I wanted to. Uh Go over to verse ch chapter 18 of Acts 18. And verses 8 through 10.

And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue. believed on the LORD with all his house, Now let me just say this there.

Some of the people that try to justify infant baptism Uh They do it and they use verses like this one right here. And others when they talk about Um Those that were. like the jailer and his whole house received we were all baptized, received Lord and were baptized. And they say, Well, you see then uh all his children.

Well, let me ask you this, okay? You ain't exactly an infant, are you? No. It's been a while. But are our.

Are you still your mother's son? Absolutely. Okay. So when he talked about his whole house, he wasn't talking about infants being baptized. Because when we take a look at baptism One of the things we notice about being baptized today is that Well That Um All every all of the recorded baptisms.

In the New Testament. Every single one. Or Um The believer's profession of faith. Every single one has to do with the believer's profession of faith.

Okay. He's no. There's not one instant not one instant at all. Where any infants were baptised? Every single instant of baptism in the New Testament was by immersion.

By immersion. None by pouring, none by sprinkling. Every single one was by immersion, okay? Or like the squirt guns they were doing during COVID? Yeah.

Unbelievable. I know. Uh and so here And also There was not one. Not one, one, one. Example Of any Dead.

People being baptized.

Okay. Now that strikes. Strange doctrine comes out of Peter. where they were referring to Being baptized for the dead. Who baptizes the dead?

Oh, they they do But let me let me tell you, you got being, you know, People will Those that have you know they come and they tell He died, he wasn't saved.

Well, let's see if we can undo that. Absolutely. Yeah. I I'm telling you, there's some very strange we're living in a time today. Look.

You can't get any crazier than universal salvation. Yeah. Okay. I mean, it's there are all of these things today.

Now, you say, well, Hasn't there always been a lot of these things during throughout history? Yeah, but not all of them at the same time, like today. I mean, they're they're all up we What does that tell you? It tells you that because of this, all of these things. That we're we're closer than ever to the Lord's return and that it's it's nigh.

Look, if nothing else Uh you've got this grok now. This um Super AI. that's taking over and somebody's s some of these really stupid pastors. I mean really stupid pastors. are allowing this into their churches.

Okay, no. That means they've got no discernment at all, saying that This is advanced that the AI knows the Bible better than any human and their greater intelligence. And they're they're allowing their churches to take over, to have Sermons made up By artificial intelligence. What? Yeah.

Oh yeah. That is Yeah. I don't know. That doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, don't you have to.

doesn't there have to be some kind of like physical connection to? Not not nowadays you have because with this this Grok thing Basically you have Uh artificial intelligence communicating with artificial intelligence. You have these computers communicating leaving the the human element out of it. And so Um This is What Elon Musk said This is great, but awful, awful scary. It's awful scary.

Well, yeah, it's kind of scary, right? Um you you have these things so So how long do you think God is going to allow this? Remember what happened when the money changers came into the church and he what he did? When he overthrew the tables he turned Now look what what they've done. The apostate church.

The you've got now the Prosperity Church that you know, they've Um, you know, b basically they've turned They've turned it into a den of thieves out there. These guys I re um You know scamming and fleecing the flocks out there. and the apostate church you heard. What's happening when they were singing at United Methodist Church and they were singing and the songs were filled with the F bomb. Oh.

They were yell and, uh They were singing right out there and uh Unbelievable how you know, what it's what it's deteriorated into.

So today. But that's where it's at. And so She went on to say, Then spake the LORD to Paul. in the night by vision. Be not afraid, but speak and hold not thy peace for I am with thee And no man shall sit on thee.

Well, let me go back. I'm left out of verse, okay? And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the LORD, with all his house, and with many of the Corinthians hearing and believed, and they were all baptized. Then spake the Lord to Paul. In the night by vision, be not afraid, but speak And hold not thy peace, for I am with thee.

And no man shall sit on thee to hurt thee, for I have much people in this city. And he continued there for six for a year and six months teaching the word of God among them, okay? And so Here now. I want to go over to And remember, we're talking about the believers' baptism here tonight. But I want to go over two Matthew chapter twenty eight.

And you know what I forgot to do? I forgot to get. me something to wet my whistle. This is the third time I'm preaching this message today. And but I d I have this little Tiny fridge over here.

And uh I'm gonna have to see if I can Reach it without taking my headset off and grab something out of there to wet my whistle 'cause I have to. Oh no, I can't have that. What would you do? I grabbed a a bottle of of elderberry syrup. Yeah.

Elderberry syrup. I like elderberries. Mm-hmm. I don't want to drink a bottle of syrup. Yeah.

Yeah. That wouldn't work well.

Now I got this thing, if I can get it open. All I need is a way to get it open. 'Cause it's got one of those flip tops on it. Mm-hmm. There you go.

Yeah. And I did it. I got it open.

Alright.

Alright.

Now I can. Wet my whistle. And guess what I pulled out of there? It's cold. Pomegranate.

Pomegranate juice. Um Okay. It was.

Now I can go back to And finish.

So I'm in Matthew chapter 28. And here And we and j verse eighteen And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power. is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

So the Lord Jesus is making a statement. Um What is the statement that he's making? If you have all the power, unlimited power, What are you? You're a god. You're omnipotent.

The word yeah is all-powerful, omnipotent.

So he's making this statement here, okay? But why Was he making a statement? Let's go back one verse, verse 17. And when they saw him They worshipped him But some Doubted Now now, can you imagine this? Um They they saw the things that he did.

They saw the miracles. Look. They saw him hanging up on that cross. Uh They saw him taken down and put in a sepulcher, and then they saw him alive again. Um defeated death death in hell.

Now he's back. And some still had doubts. Yeah, that blows my mind. Like, after everything you've seen, and you're still doubting? Like, what are you.

A lot of things happened there. The graves were opened, thousands came up out of the graves. And so now he's telling them all power is given unto me in heaven and earth. Go you therefore. and teach all nations baptizing them In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

No. This is an ordinance. of God. Uh baptism just how How many ordinances did God give us? No.

I'm not sure. Two ordinances. We have two two I mean okay. the two ordinances, baptism and the Lord's Table.

Now there's others that are commands that we have to do. But these are the ordinances, okay? And he says here. Go out there, therefore, and Teach all nations. You know, you could you could r uh Say that in another way.

You could say, as you go, therefore, As you go throughout your life, teach them in all nations, baptizing them, In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

So now Uh you have it here to where Uh he's He's teaching. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. And so That's different, but first remember, they taught Uh repentance, baptism. And then they taught baptism in Jesus' name, and now. Jesus is telling them to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

And so here I want to just go back to where we started because we never finished Off there in Chapter 3. And I want to pick it up. And here Uh in verse thirteen This is Matthew. Yep, Matthew chapter 3.

Okay. Verse thirteen Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to the Jordan, and did John to be baptized of him. But John forbade him, saying I have need to baptize, to be baptized of thee, Thou comest thou to me. And Jesus answering and said unto him. Suffer it to be So now For thus it becometh us to fulfil the all righteousness.

Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water, And lo the heavens were open unto him, And he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and the lightning upon lighting upon him And lo, a voice from heaven saying, This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.

Now here's Here There's about four places in all of Scripture Where you have um All three Persons of the Trinity. are present. This is one of those here You've got the Lord Jesus himself. being baptized, okay. You've got now The heavens were opened.

This This really had to be a s a sight, okay? Uh There there was something there a vision I'm not sure if it was like during the day and all of a sudden you could see Like it like at night time with all the stars in the uh planets out there. But here then you saw Now it wasn't a dove, but it w was Uh it was the Holy Spirit Um And it came. As a dove lights on something. Have you ever seen the way dubs they kind of land softly?

Mhm. You see this Uh Coming down. Uh like A d uh in the appearance like a a dove would. Like in the style of a dove. Yeah.

Not saying that it looked like a dove. Right. And then Lighting on the Lord Jesus Himself coming upon him. It was like. What happened at the day of Pentecost when you had all the the tongues, the flaming tongues, landing upon coming upon uh th those of the apostles and those that were there?

But here And then now You have the father speaking. And lo, a voice from heaven saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Now This has been said several other places, Psalms 2, Isaiah 42, Luke 9. 35 Uh Colossians went all I'll relate to this, but But here He did this too at the Ascension. Uh remember when um Peter and John wanted to make three altars to worship, Uh Moses and Elijah And Jesus they said let's Let's set up three altars here. And because remember, Elijah and Jesus and Moses appeared there. And Then you had the voice coming from heaven.

And that voice said, this. is my son. He he what what what do you think he was doing? He was making a a very clear point there. Um that we are to worship Jesus, not Anyone else?

Well, yeah, but there was another point in which. Kind of Jesus was, you know, was he maybe. kinda s saying the pecking order, you know, type thing, like the, uh the hierarchy. He was saying don't Don't characterize or classify the Lord Jesus with mere men. He's not he's not like the rest of you, okay?

And and so he's he's making Their point Here. This is my son in whom I am well pleased in Uh do you think Peter got the message? No, he should have. And so So let me go back because we left off in Matthew 4. With John.

And the same John that his remnant of camel's hair and a l leather girdle about his loins, and his meat was locusts and wild honey. then went out to him In Jerusalem and Judea, and all the region around about Jordan, and were baptized of him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

Now, This was There were a lot of people. I mean, this was a there were a lot of people. They were coming out in the wilderness, uh to be baptized and I I sure wouldn't want to be baptized into Jordan to day, I tell you that. Uh that I I was there in that Jordan and I tell you what it was Uh, I went to wait out and I was waiting out in the Jordan and and all of a sudden The smell was terrible, and there were dead fish floating everywhere. You know?

I mean, the the fish were dead and and something, you know, I wouldn't doubt that uh Somebody put poison, you know, did something to try to pollute the water. And Here And they were baptized in him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and the Sadducees come unto his baptism. He said unto them, Now, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come Boy, I'm gonna tell you, if if they think that that I'm a hellfire preacher, you know, have they've accused me of being Uh hellfire preacher. John the Baptist And I'll tell you who was even tougher was the Lord Jesus himself.

Mm-hmm. Bring forth, therefore, fruits. The meat for repentance And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham, to our Father for I say unto you, God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. Uh what do you think um see Trout. The Lord Jesus addressed that.

Um do you know the difference between The seed of Abraham and the sons of Abraham? Um Would the sons of Abraham be Israel and the seed be The Muslims? Is that what it means? No. No.

No, but Jesus referred to it as. The seed. That means the genealogy But not spiritually, that Those that were the sons that were spiritually, they belonged to They were saved. Those were the ones that were saved.

So if you go to Malachi, And you read the last part of Malachi 13 and Malachi 14. that one third, one third of those Israelites will receive Christ as their Savior. A third of them will, this is real, true Israel, true Israel. Those are the The sons of Abraham that the Lord referred to.

Okay? But you have a lot of apostate Jews out there today. In fact, the majority of them. Just like you do in government, like Jackie Schumer. Uh Uh that Jamie What's his name?

Raskin Yeah. You have a a lot of these are these are apostate Jews, okay? out there today that Many well, they denied the Lord Jesus. is the Christ and um So he goes on. Uh to say I in Uh And now also the axe is laid into the root of the trees.

Therefore, every tree which bringeth forth good fruit is hewn. which bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewn down and cast into the fire. I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance but he that cometh after me is mightier than I whose shoes I am not worthy to bear. He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.

Now who do you? What do you think that means? He'll baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Um Well, what would the Would that like set kinda like set fire to your your spirit to go forth and Proclaim Yeah. Yeah, the whole year You're tried, your faith is tried by fire.

And here well actually just like to purify. Yeah. Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, And here you go, here's the answer right here to it. And gather his wheat unto the Garner But he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. And so There you go.

That the unquenchable fire, okay? Uh he was referring to these to these Pharisees and Sadducees. They were the ones that even though they saw The Lord Jesus, what all that he had done. They were the ones that said, Crucify, crucify. Not all of 'em.

Some of 'em like Nicodemus and others receive Christ as their Savior. But but others, uh the majority of them, were the ones that were yelling. Let his blood be upon us and our children. Mm-hmm. Boy, was it?

Did they was it ever? Was it ever?

Okay. How dumb. Through uh throughout all of history, huh? Yeah. And so So you have the different d do you know that the Bible actually speaks of seven different baptisms?

Hmm. And so one of these days I'll do um a message Maybe on all seven different baptisms. That would be an interesting message, wouldn't it? Yeah. I mean there's a Are you talking about like different styles or like different types?

No, you you're uh 'Cause there's Would it be baptism by fire and water and Yeah. Or the the my off base. Mm-hmm. No, Re remember when Jesus said, Could you be When he was telling the disciples, Can you be baptized with my baptism?

Okay. Can you drink from my cup that I'm drinking from?

Okay. In other words And then uh They said, but you will. In other words, The baptism of uh in those cases of martyrism. And So there's a it's a it's it'll be Good when if I go into that way I can go into all uh seven different ones in detail. The Bible s uses the word the number seven a lot of different ways.

The seven spirits of God, for example.

Okay, is another It's another good m I haven't preached that message in a long, long time. But uh I'm pretty sure I think I I know, but I'm not sure what I'm going to preach on next week already because A lot of times the Lord just shows you way ahead of time. uh what you're going to be preaching on, okay. And So you know, and I think this week he's kinda showed me ahead of time what I'm going to be preaching on next Sunday.

So that means if he shows me that, that means Well, I I'll still be here this week. I'm not gonna die this week. Right. Well, maybe you never know.

Well God does. It's his it's always his yeah. God knows, but you don't. No, it's always his call. Yeah.

And so Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's your time to go. It's your time to go. I mean, what are you going to say no?

How is that going to work out for you? Yeah, that's not good s that's right, it's not our call and Uh oh, I'm going to tell you that's the difference. If you've ever ministered in nursing homes, Uh, you know, I and and upon death's row What a difference between When it comes, time to die between those that are saved and those that are lost. A super big, big difference there, I'm gonna tell ya. Um the ones that well you know, I had all those men all those years on death row They died smiles, it was smiles on her face, okay.

I mean, not s not some of 'em during the because of the pain that they've felt, but When they were when When they were laying there and they started injecting the poison, they had smiles because I spent the whole night before and the next morning with them. And and, you know, we talked about You know, once you've received your your sins have been forgiven and Uh when you your eyes are closed and when you when they open you'll be in in glory. Because God's word, the Bible, doesn't stutter, absent from the body, present with the Lord. That's another teaching that that's out there that's another false teaching is that Uh It's it's three days. Three days after you die before you make it to heaven or hell.

No, that's that's not taught in the Bible. Yeah, I was going to say, where did that come from? Oh. Well, that comes along with some of those other False teachings Like Soul sleep, for example. Do you know what soul sleep is?

No, I've never heard of that. Oh, oh yeah. That's uh Seventh Day Advents teach that. Uh Some Jehovah's Soul sleep is that Uh They they take one verse from scripture.

Solomon said the dead know not nothing. They're dead, no, not nothing in other words, the body that won that once you you die The good Uh you know, until the resurrection you don't know anything. In other words, you're just you're you you're just in the ground.

Well, no, the Bible says absent from the body present with the Lord.

Okay, and so the miss the minis that your d body dies, your soul and spirit ascend to heaven. Um The other one is the Teaching of annihilation, it's another false teaching. That they teach, and they base that on one verse from Scripture, too, where the Lord's referring to Satan. telling him he's that uh he will he's going to be burnt up like the fat of a lamb.

Well, That that is referring to the body that he had. Will be destroyed, but Satan himself will not be, you know, he's eternal, he'll be in that lake of fire. But I won't be in that lake of fire, you know that, because you know how I can know that. Because God's Word the Bible tells me very clearly, it tells me that I can know that I'm saved. I don't I called upon the name of the Lord.

And I did that. Did you do that? Absolutely. Yep, because uh Yeah. You don't want to end up in the lake of fire, do you?

No, not at all. You don't want to wait. You never know. Like we were just saying, it's not your call when you go, so. I mean, this might be this m will be the last day for Some people out there listening.

And so what what would be your advice for those out there listening? Repent and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior now. Don't wait, don't hesitate. Do it now. Abs absolutely.

Because you might run out of tomorrow tonight, huh? Absolutely. In fact, it. He tells you in the book of John And he says That well For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father. the Word and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one.

and these three have bear witness to the earth and the Spirit and the Water and the Blood, and the three agree. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. For this is the witness of God which he hath testified to the Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself. And he that believeth not hath made him a liar, because he believeth not the record of God who gave this Son.

And this is the record that God had given to us eternal life. And the life is in the Son. He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son, God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in Him.

Yeah. If not, If we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us.

Well, we're out of time for tonight, so I want to say good night. Good night. I want to say God bless. God bless. And I want to say always, always, always keep.

The fight. The fight. The fight. The fight. The fight.
