That's in that period when We call The tribulation. We will talk about what happens when Christ returns to this earth. We will weave in hundreds of Old Testament. Prophetic passages and New Testament passages to fully explain what happens in the coming future and how you can be ready for it. And then we will take time to talk about though glorious thousand year reign of Christ, on this earth and see how it is orientation for eternity.
and take plenty of time to describe Revelation 21 and 22, which gives us the New World cosmology. As God revealed it to John. You do not want to miss this conference. It is, I would say, Life-changing. Students will be coming from all over North Carolina.
You can be a part of it.
Now, if you can't make it in person, then sign up as a Zoom student, and you can be in anywhere in the world. And you can partake of this course. It will be a life. Changer.
Now today We're going to begin this new series on The Enoch Life Style Why? Why is it that wise Christians are being led to study and ponder? This Enoch lifestyle, and practice it.
Well Here's one. Enoch's simple yet wise way of preparing for the first world wide judgment which was a flood. It's recorded in Genesis seven and eight. shows us how to prepare For the second worldwide judgment.
Now that's the one that's coming in the near future. We call it the tribulation period, the time of Jacob's trouble, the affliction is what Hosea. Called it. It's described in Revelation 6 through 19.
So to prepare to escape that time, and Jesus was very clear in Luke twenty one thirty six, he said, Watch ye, therefore, and pray always that you may be worthy to escape all These things that shall come to pass he just described tribulation things. And he said to the church in Philadelphia, Because you have kept the word of my patience or endurance or perseverance. I will keep you from not in. But from again, not in, but from And that's true to the Greek. That period of that time of trouble which shall come upon the whole world.
to try them. that dwell. Therein, So Jesus has promised that somebody's going to escape all, and somebody's going to be kept from. Who is it?
Well, it's the bridechurch. And to be a member of that brad, Oddly, we need to go all the way back to Genesis. and learn the powerful lesson from a very godly man named Enoch. Genesis 5, 22 and 24 are our texts here, and the Bible says Enoch walked with God. And again in verse 24, Enoch walked with God.
And then he was not found, for God took him or God translated him.
Now we want to define translation. It's not transportation. Transportation is when the Holy Spirit picks up a person by his awesome power and takes him from one location to another. In Acts. Chapter six and seven and eight Particularly eight, we have the story of the evangelist.
And he was taken. from one location in the Desert? to another. Philip was his name. He was caught up and taken by the Holy Spirit to another location.
That's transportation. What is translation? Translation means you are taken from earth to heaven. Change from a mortal to an immortal state without seeing Death. Only two people have experienced translation, Enoch, and Alancha.
And of course, we are studying the first of those two.
Now, when the Bible says that Enoch walked with God, the word walked is used. Synonymously with live.
So the Bible is really saying Enoch lived with God. Or one translation says he shared life. with God. I love that. Don't you want to share your life with God?
I tell you this. Our Father wants to share life. With you. Jesus wants to share life with you. He wants to walk alongside you.
When you get out of your bed, get into your shower or bathtub, and you Dress yourself for the day and walk out into the day. Jesus wants to walk into that day with you. When you walk into work, Jesus wants to walk into work with you. He can. It can be that real, it can be that simple, it can be that wonderful.
When you walk through a river with a torrent, Seems like it's going to blow you away, he wants to walk with you and stabilize you. When you walk into the fire and it seems it's going to consume you emotionally, he wants to walk. through that fire with you. and protect you. and bring you out on the other side.
changed for the better, matured. conform to his image. Not your old image. You and I can walk with God. What a glorious thing.
So Enoch shared life with God. closely Intimately Every day. This is so wonderful. Not one day out of seven, or two or three, but seven days out of seven. That's the possibility for you and I now today.
You know, I just love this teaching, I love this substance because it's so simple, friends. Today Everything in this world is so complicated. You want to do something and start a business, start a corporation? Oh, it's so complicated. You need to do something legally.
It's so complicated.
Sometimes when we study theology it's so complicated. But you know, biblical theology is really at base very simple. It usually boils down to belief. Trust and obedience. in the fear of the Lord.
That's about it. Everything springs from that.
So I love this. that this man Enoch walked with God and that prepared him. It prepared him before this Terrible catastrophic event of the flood. The deluge occurred.
Now, He was taken out before the flood, and this is a type of the church. This is why we're studying this man. He's a type of the bride church or the bride Christian who will be. translated to heaven, Before the second world wide judgment, not by the waters of a flood, but by the seal, trumpet, and bold judgments of Revelation six through nineteen.
Now for the record, there are two Enochs in Scripture. One is Cain's son, so obviously we're not talking about him because he was in the land of the ungodly. The other? And the one we are studying is a descendant of Seth. He was in the godly line or heritage.
Enix name means dedicated. And also experienced. And you know both described this man. Because he dedicated himself to God, He therefore Game Good experience with God. You know, you hear some Christians testify, and maybe a twinge of jealousy or envy is start in you when you can detect that they are so close with God.
It's as if they Hear God's heartbeat. You know John leaned on Jesus' breast. What? I believe it's because he wanted to hear what was in the heart of God. There are some Christians who walk with that intimacy.
I know one pastor just last night in a wonderful Bible study we have nearby Wellcome, North Carolina. His name is Eddie Scott. Though I love Eddie. Men to his church, worshipped with him and his people. And When Eddie prays, heaven comes down.
It's not a theological event, it's a God event. And I just love it. And I love Eddie. But I'm sure some They have a twinge of envy because they realize, you know, God, I don't have that intimacy with you. I can't connect with you like that, or at least I don't.

Now, again, Dr. Hinnant.
So Enoch's name means dedicated. It begins here, everything begins here. Are you dedicated to God? You know, holy means dedicated.
Something that's holy is something that's set apart for God. Have you set apart your day? Have you set apart your life? Have you set apart your Heart Is there anything or any person you love more than crushed If there is, let me encourage you to face it and tell the Lord. He already knows.
Some people say, I don't want to say that to the Lord.
Well, my friend, He knew it before you were born. You're not going to trouble him. You're going to bless him. He wants you to tell him the truth about sin and selfishness and idolatry in your heart. Then.
He can cleanse it with his blood. All God requires of us is a willingness to tell the truth and a willingness to change. Do you have that? If you do, go to Him and tell Him whatever is hindering your fellowship with Him right now. And that blockage will be removed.
Could be an attitude you have toward a relative, could be a judgment you've made of your pastor or someone else. It could be anger you're letting to rest in your heart and root your lie. It could be envy toward a a brother or a sister or a fellow Christian. Tell him whatever that thing is and get rid of it, and then dedicate yourself wholly to him.
So, everything in your life belongs to Him because it belongs to Him. Anyway. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein. Psalm 24, verse 1. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 6 that Your body belongs to God, and your spirit belongs to God.
So Dedicate what belongs to God. to God. Jesus said, Render to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. that is, the Roman coinage, And to God, what belongs to God, that is, your heart and your worship.
So he dedicated himself to Yahweh long before. The Jewish people. were ever born into existence. They became a wonderful type for them as well as us. And because he was dedicated, he developed, he experienced really wonderful experiences and events.
With God. and encounters Do you want to have encounters? With the Lord.
Now, I'm not saying do you want to be some super spiritual mystic? That is the harder way. To try to receive secret messages from the Lord. No, I'm not talking about that at all. But I'm talking about this.
When you get along with the Lord in the morning, do you want that Bible to be wide open to you?
So that as you read thoughtfully, of course without practising sin in your life. And without having unforgiveness toward people, you are there and you are worshiping God and praising Him. You've got that Bible up, you're running your references, and you want that word to be alive and rich. You want it to speak not only to the historic and grammatical meaning, but to your life. to your life.
You want God actually to use The inspired words of the Bible to inspire you in the morning. To go out into the day And be dedicated. And a good experience with Christ that day, which you can share with others in the form of testimony. which will encourage them. to walk with him as you were learning to walk with him.
Excuse me, this is God's purpose.
So Enoch dedicated himself wholly to God. Holy to God. You know, we receive Jesus and His nature in salvation. and the fullness of the Holy Spirit in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, afterward we must dedicate ourselves.
Some people think by receiving Christ and His Spirit that, well, that's it. No, that's just the beginning. You've arrived, all right. You've arrived? at the starting line.
For your life race which is set before you. by your sovereign God who has predestinated or marked out ahead of time a path just for you. Think about that. Don't you want to fulfill the destiny He's marked out for you? Be the part in the amazing spirit filled body of Christ worldwide.
That is called Juda Bee? Fulfil that function? Nobody else can fulfil it. Only you.
Now Yeah. Enoch came to have many personal experiences with God. and you and I can too. Extraordinary dedication to God leads to extraordinary experiences with God, an extraordinary ministry for God. And that in turn leads to an extraordinary eternity with God.
Yes, the life you're building now will stretch right into eternity. You see when the rapture occurs, the spiritually minded, Dedicated. taught, trained, and tested, and transformed Christian will just step over. Into eternity. Oh, my goodness.
I'm so excited about this as I tell you. This is real. It's going to happen. Christ's going to appear In the near future, what date, what month, what year? Oh, I won't be a fool and try to predict that, as many have.
Jesus said very plainly, only the Father knows that. I'm not trying to jump the gun. And play the fool. by trying to dedicate, or predict rather, something which Only the Father knows.
Now Only two antediluvians or pre flood characters, walked with God. Enoch, and also Noah. No one. He walked with God, who was his descendant. Both of them were delivered.
Enoch before The flood? By translation, Noah through The flood? by the ark. I think the two of them speak of both Christians and Jews. That is the church, the bride church, being delivered before the tribulation period, and Israel.
And I mean by that, the. Christ worshipping remnant of Israel being taken through, THE TRIBULATION Now, so by walking closely with God, Enoch knew God not just academically or Because he had been informed by someone else who knew God, but experientially. Are we coming to know him that way? You know, we can study our Bible till the cows come home. and never know the God of whom it speaks.
Do you want proof? Look to the Pharisees. The Pharisees were Bible Experts, the scribes particularly the Pharisee scribes. Oh, my goodness, they were expert in the letter of the Torah But when the author of the Torah stood before him, they said, There, that guy right there. He's a Samaritan and he's demon-possessed.
And they were on their way. To hell, really, because they were saying the spirit in him was a demon, and that, my friend, is blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
So knowing the letter of the Bible and knowing the author are not necessarily the the same. Am I speaking against Bible study? Absolutely not. I've studied the Bible for fifty years, and I'm still studying it. And I would encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity that you have to study the scriptures.
to learn the scriptures. And ye only good will come of that.
So please continue that. But realize you need to take the step beyond by obeying the scriptures, by putting them into practice as best you can, every chance you can, you grow closer. to the author, and that is the source of life.
Now, our text in Genesis 5 states not once, but twice, that Enoch walked with God. Hmm. Why is this? Surely for emphasis. If God wants to emphasize something in the Bible, He just repeats it.
Now this is also probably meant to remind us of Adam. Oh, now we're really, really opening a keg of worms. By God saying that Enoch walked with him Very sadly he's Looking back, there's an intimation, a hint about Adam, because he. Had walked with God. In the garden, In the cool of the breezy time of the day, Before he rebelled and fell and was separated from God.
Oh, so Adam was the first to walk with God. Then Enoch. Hmm. So what do we have here? What is this saying?
Well, This is telling us that what Adam experienced and lost Enoch Regained. Think about that. Oh, this is so important. Adam was 622 years old when Enoch was born. He was 687 years old when Enoch began to walk with God.
You see, Enoch walked with God, Enoch lived for sixty five years before he walked with God three hundred years. Dead Enoch Sit at Adam's feet, did he seek him out? And say, Adam, I want to learn how to walk with God. I have heard that you walked with God. What was it like?
You know, we don't know if he did, but I'm going to say. That I believe he did. Can I prove it? No. Will I be dogmatic?
No. But I believe the evidence implies he did. Would you not? If you wanted to walk with God, seek instruction from the only one who had ever done so before you.
So I think it's pretty clear that he asked Enoch asked Adam about what it was like to walk with God. And he was 308 years old. When Adam died, So their lives overlapped two hundred and forty-three years. Wow. Think about that.
Two hundred and forty three years the man Enoch lived while Adam was alive. Surely He discussed matters pertaining to a close relationship with God, which Adam had had for perhaps eons. before he fell. Would Adam have withheld that from him? You know, I don't think so.
We have no indication that Adam was a malevolent person or or you know, we know he sinned and fell, but God restored him.
So I think the evidence indicates That he drew his knowledge of God from Adam. You know, learning to walk with God today takes us back to the very beginning of the human experience. To the Antiquity of Antiquity The start of time The primordial period means first interactions. with the deity. How fitting it is, then, that we learn this now, in the end of the age of the church, just before a new age is beginning.
You see, when this coming of Christ occurs, seven years of trouble will rapidly pass, Christ will return, and a whole new world will be set before us, O my goodness, the glorious reign of Jesus Christ, the long-awaited day of the Lord. Oh, my goodness It's not far off, my friend. It's not far off at all. Think about this now. And begin in earnest to prepare for it.
And everyone in your family, encourage them to do the same. Everyone in your church, encourage them to do the same. To learn how to walk with God. to live life with God, to share. Life.
with God. As Enoch did. As he undoubtedly Learned ye from Adam. And we see that what Adam experienced and lost, Enoch regained, and you and I. Can regain now.
in this year of our Lord. And be wonderfully prepared and help others all over the earth. in various ways. Prepare. but he's coming.
