The pastor discusses the importance of having both supernatural faith and sustaining faith, explaining that supernatural faith is about seeing miracles and signs, while sustaining faith is about staying true to Jesus even when things don't go as planned. He also talks about the sovereignty of God, explaining that God's ways are higher than human ways and that sometimes God's timing is not what we expect.

Pastor Paul Sheppard

One Sunday uh a pastor made an announcement to his church. He said to the church, I need all board members. to come out on Thursday night for a special meeting. And Thursday night, 700 people showed up. They were all bored.

We are not part of a boring church. The Spirit of God is moving. He is working. I believe in the supernatural power of God. I believe in demons being cast out, bodies being healed, addictions being broken.

Y'all believe that? Christianity is a lot of things, but it ain't boring if you do this thing right.

Now let me say this real quickly. When it comes to the church... In America. And miracles and signs and wonders and all this kind of stuff. There are two categories of churches.

You've heard me talk about this before. One is what we call cessationist church, not sensationist, but cessationist, which means the miraculous gifts and the miraculous moves. The Holy Spirit. ceased in the first century. Cessationist.

I grew up Baptist. I was part of a, at that time, a secessionist denomination. And you say, now, where is that in the Bible? Here's the problem: it's not in the Bible. You cannot find a single verse in the Bible that said the supernatural miracles, the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit ceased in the first century.

It's not in the Bible. You do realize that, right? What they think is, well, you know, we needed signs and wonders and miracles until the canon, the 66 books of the Bible, came together to validate the gospel. But now that we have the Bible, we don't need signs and wonders. It's a great theory, but there's one problem with that.

It's not in the Word of God. You will not find a single verse that says the miraculous move of the Spirit ceased in the first century. We're not a cessationist denomination, and we're not a cessationist church. The second category is continuationist, which means this: what you read in the book of Acts. continues to this very day.

The supernatural encompasses about one-third of the New Testament. 12 out of 28 chapters in the book of Acts talk about supernatural healing. I have a problem with cessationists wiping out one-third of the New Testament. I have a problem and I love them and they're our brothers in Christ and this isn't anything to get mad over, but I'm a little bit irritated when I hear Bible-believing Christians say one-third of the New Testament is not for today. That's contradictory to scripture.

In fact, Ephesians 4:13 says that spiritual gifts, even supernatural gifts like prophecy, will continue until there's total unity in the church and we all become just like Jesus Christ. Is there total unity in the church? Are we all just like Jesus Christ? Then according to that verse, the gifts continue. In fact, Romans 11:29 says that God's gifts.

Like miracles and prophecy and tongues, God's gifts and call cannot be withdrawn.

So, I'm taking a break from the book of Romans today. And if I keep taking breaks from the book of Romans, we will never get through the book of Romans. But I felt like we need to talk about this today because God is doing so many wonderful things at Cross Assembly that I'm going to share with you. And we're seeing miracles, we're seeing God move supernaturally. But here's the question.

I got about six or seven people that I know personally. in this church. that have cancer. And I know there's varying degrees.

Some, it's, they may have days to live. Others, it's manageable. But God's not healed them. And they're looking around and they're seeing this miracle and that miracle and that sign and that sign, and yet they've not gotten their answer to prayer yet. And the legitimate question is.

Okay, Chad, with all this good stuff happening, what do you have to say to those people who have not gotten their answer? They've not gotten their miracle. And so let me give you just real quickly.

Some reasons why maybe you haven't had The answered prayer.

Sometimes, why we may not see answers to prayer and miracles, let me give you just a couple. And one, I got to hit this one, although I don't want to dig down too hard on this one because it's been abused through the years. It could be a lack of faith. I know you're not supposed to say that because it's been abused. But that's scriptural.

Matthew 13, 58 says Jesus could not do any miracles in his hometown of Nazareth because of a lack of faith. James 1:6 through 7 says, People who doubt won't receive anything from God.

So let's just be honest.

Okay, the Bible does say that. Let's just be honest with you. The Bible does say sometimes you don't get your miracle, you don't get your answer because your faith. Is not there. The Bible's very clear.

There has to be that element of faith. And so, okay, that could be one of the reasons. A second reason could be marital disunity. Did you know that? 1 Peter 3:7 says that if you're divided with your spouse, did you know this?

If there's division with you and your spouse and you're at each other, God says your prayers can be hindered because of your division in your marriage. That's another reason. It could be wrong motives. James 4:3 says this: when you ask, you don't receive because you ask with wrong motives that you may spend what you get on your own pleasures. Why have I not gotten my BMW?

I named it. I claimed it. James answers it right there. Why have I not gotten my private jet? Why don't I live in North Raleigh?

Why don't I live in that name-negated community? I've named it, I claimed it, he didn't give it to me. James right there says, Wrong motives can hinder prayer. And there's a lot of, I could go on all day on this thing, so I don't want to hit all this stuff. There's a lot of other reasons why the Bible says sometimes your prayers aren't answered.

But here's the question of the day. What about those people in our church that do have faith? What about those? Who are unified. With their spouse.

What about those who are asking? with right motives. And there's no hidden sin that they're What about those people? You look at the word of God and you say I'm not perfect. And there's some things I could do better.

And yeah, maybe I could have a little bit more faith, but I'm doing the best I can, and I'm still not getting my answer. What do you say to them?

Well, let me give you a couple more. Number one, or number four, it could be God's timing. Um the longer I live I don't know if it's just, I don't know what it is. The longer I live, do you know God's answer more and more is becoming wait. Wait.

Wait. Wait. I don't know what it is, but God is not telling me no more than he used to. He is telling me wait more than he used to. And we don't like that, because we want God to answer right now.

And I can prove to you that we have a problem with this. Because anytime I preach on money or giving, like I did a couple weeks ago, offerings go up for about three weeks. And then they start going back to where they were. And I know what's happened. You're tithing, and you say, Well, I did what Pastor Chad said.

My finances didn't turn around. I didn't see my miracle. Maybe you ought to give God more than three weeks to turn your finances around. I got you 20 years, it took you 20 years to get into this mess. It might take more than three weeks to get you out of it.

But see, we want answers right now. We can't wait on God. And God sometimes says, I'm giving you your miracle. I'm giving your kid back. I'm bringing your marriage back together, but give me some time to work.

In fact, I want you to look at this. This is, all right, now, I love the Bible because the Bible gives you weird stories that don't make sense. And here's one of those weird stories that for years did not make sense to me. You ready? Mark chapter 8.

Then he came, Jesus came to Bethsaida. And they brought a blind man to him. And he begged him to touch him.

So he took the blind man by the hand. Let him out of town, and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.

Okay. I'm not trying to be gross. Jesus takes a blind man. Says Stand right there. And he spits on his eyes, okay?

And then he asked him if he saw anything. And he looked up and said, Well, I see men, but they're kind of shadowy. They're like trees walking around. Then he put his hands on his eyes. A Dan.

and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly. Explain that to me. I can't explain the whole thing. But one thing that jumps out to me.

There are times when Jesus touches a blind man. And immediately he's healed. He'll speak the word and immediately they're healed. Did you say it happened in this passage? He basically touches this man twice.

First time, can you see?

Well, it's kind of shadowy. People look like trees walking around, and he touched him a second time, and he was healed. And the Lord spoke to my heart and says, Chad, sometimes I heal supernaturally and instantaneously, and sometimes I heal supernaturally and in a process. It's in phases.

Some of y'all have been touched by God and God has begun the healing work, but God may have to touch you again and again and again. Do you understand what I'm saying? It's God's timing.

Sometimes it's instantaneous and sometimes it's a process. And that's what you see in this passage right here.

Alright, so I'm praying. I got my my miracle. The addiction is not broken. The kid's not back home. The cancer's not healed.

The issue is not resolved.

Well, it could be a lack of faith. It could be marital disunity. It could be the timing of God. Or it could be, jot this down, number five. It could be the sovereignty of God.

And this is the one right here. I love y'all, but we're going to have the hardest time with number five right here: the sovereignty of God. When it comes to the sovereignty of God, you understand what I mean by the sovereignty of God. That you're not in control, he is. He does what he wants.

He has a plan that's bigger than your plan. God moves however he wants to move. He doesn't take your counsel, he's God. That's the sovereignty of God. And when it comes to the sovereignty of God, this is my go-to passage.

Turn to Acts chapter 12, verse 1. Acts 12:1. The church is growing. It's booming.

Souls are getting saved. Miracles are happening. The whole city of Jerusalem is now being transformed. And it says in Acts chapter 12, verse 1.

Now, by that time, Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. Then he killed James. Remember Jesus' inner circle? Peter, James, and John. That's Jesus' inner circle.

It says he killed James, the brother of John, with a sword. And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. You understand what's happening? You got a church of a staff of 12 pastors. One of their pastors has just been decapitated by Herod, and Herod's like, wow, but the people like it, we'll do it again.

And so he seized Peter.

Now, it was during the days of unleavened bread.

So when he had arrested him He put him in prison. And delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after the Passover.

Now, you know the story. And when y'all go to Israel with me in a couple weeks, I'm going to take you to the very spot where this happened. Peter is released from prison. By an angel. An angel supernaturally comes and releases Peter from prison.

And now Peter's standing in the streets of Jerusalem in the middle of the night. And it says this: And when Peter had come to himself, he said, Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent his angel and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people. You should tell, where is the sovereignty of God in that?

Well watch this. Herod takes Pastor James and kills him.

Now I'm going to be honest with you. I like James. He's quiet. He's unassuming. He doesn't cause problems.

James is just a good guy. Can I be honest with you? I don't always like the Apostle Peter. He's brash, he's cocky, he's confident, he says stupid things, he says stupid things at the wrong time. I like James.

I'm not wild about Peter always. And so if I was God, I would say. We're going to let James be released because he's a good guy. Peter, I I love you, but it's time to come home. He's gonna cut your head off.

Is that what happened? No. James is arrested. And James dies. Peter is arrested.

and Peter set free from prison. God explained that to me. I don't have to explain anything to anybody. I'm God. James dies, and Peter lives.

Yeah, but God, it don't make it I don't care if it makes sense to you or not. I'm God. James dies. Peter lifts. Y'all know who Smith Wigglesworth was?

one of the greatest healing evangelists of our day. Williamsworth healed by the grace of God through the power of God, so many people of so many different illnesses. But his own daughter, Alice, was death. And he prayed for her, and she was never healed of her deafness. She went to her grave.

The daughter of one of the greatest healing evangelists of all time went to her grave. Still this. God explained that to me. How can this man heal people all around the world, but his own daughter dies death? Explain that.

And God says, I don't have to explain it. James dies, Peter lives, because I'm God. Two weeks ago. on a Sunday morning. A group of your brothers and sisters.

were gathered in the Congo worshiping just like this. Did you hear about this? And a bunch of Islamic militants stormed their church. and slaughtered forty nine of them. in church.

and took 20 of their kids from kids ministry. Prison. I bet you didn't hear about that, did you? Because we're so into What's going on in New York City? Are we about to elect the socials?

We are so concerned about all that kind of stuff, we don't realize there's a wholesale slaughter of your brothers and sisters going on all around the world.

Now let me ask you something. Could God The powerful God of the universe. Could he have stopped those Islamic militants from coming into that church and slaughtering 49 of your brothers and sisters? Could he have stopped it? Why didn't he?

Why didn't he stop? that from happening. And why does he allow us to sit here on a Sunday morning with complete freedom with the only concern we have how much time it's going to take to get out of the parking lot today? One. Explain that to me, God.

And God says, I don't have to explain anything to you. I'm God. James dies and Peter lives. That's the sovereignty of God. And if you can't live with the mystery of the sovereignty of God, I'm going to tell you something, you're going to have a hard road ahead of you.

Because we have this vending machine idea of God. I put in the right quarters, I put in the right combination of fasting, prayer, church attendance, tithing, and I push the prayer button, and I should get whatever I want to get. That's a vending machine mentality of the Lordship of Jesus Christ. I've done this. Therefore, you're obligated to do that.

And he says, I'm God. I'm not obligated to do anything. And if you can't live with the sovereignty of God, I'm just telling you, life's going to be tough for you. I can't remember if I told you all about this. I think I told you about it, and I can't remember when it happened.

I thought it was at the beginning of this year. But you know, we always do New Year's resolutions.

So at the beginning of the year, I said, you know, My truck, it's always dirty. My wife's always complaining about how dirty it is. I'm gonna start. Um keep my truck clean. That was my New Year's resolution, and it lasted for like four days, and then it's over with.

I go to this car wash. And not only did I pay for the car wash, and not only did I evacuate it, I said, I'm going to spend some money. And there's a machine over there with like armor all wipes and rags and all this kind of stuff, and the wipes are. $1.50.

So I go and I don't have a ton of money in my truck, but I have the right quarter competence. I put the money in there. I push thee. Arm roll button. And nothing came out.

And I don't know why that set me off so I don't know why it irritated me. And I said, this machine ain't gonna win. I'm gonna win this battle. And so I actually went to my truck, and I was able to scrape up enough quarters. Dollar fifty, that's What six quarters, right?

Okay, I screened it six quarters. And I put it in there a second time. and push the button. And nothing came out. And it set me off, and I find myself reaching up in the thing, trying to pull it down.

I'm shaking the thing, and I think, dear Lord, please don't let a church member be watching me scream at this thing. It made me so mad because I put in the right combination. I'm supposed to push the button. and get what I want. And if you live that kind of mentality toward God.

It works when it works. Trust me. I've been in the hospital room. When a Christian who had the vending machine mentality of God. Saw that family member die.

And he went ballistic. Because I put in the right combination. And I punched the button. And I didn't get my answer. That's the sovereignty of God.

James dies. And Peter lives. You know, God's sovereignty is rooted in his omniscience. You know, by omniscience, you know what I mean? That God knows all things.

And every now and then, sometimes God will give us a glimpse into why he didn't answer the prayer. Not all the time. But what if God I wanted to get into that college? I've been dreaming to get in that college, and you didn't let me get in that college. And what if God says, No, because I know there's a professor in that college, or there's a young man or a young woman going to that college.

You think you're strong in your faith, you're not. I see in the future, I know they're going to derail you from your faith. Therefore, I'm not letting you go to that college. You're going to go to that college. That's the sovereignty of God rooted in His omniscience.

We have a A family that went to our church, restaurant owner. Downtown Raleigh, seriously, the best sandwiches I've ever had was at his restaurant. And he said, Chad, come and pray for my restaurant. It's not doing great financially. Part of it's because we don't sell alcohol here and it's hard to survive as a restaurant owner without selling alcohol.

I went down, I prayed, I anointed that place with oil, I claimed the promises of God, and it went bankrupt. And I was like, okay, God, you're kind of making me look bad here. They call the pastor in because I'm the prayer expert, now the place goes bankrupt. Do you know that man is wife now? Are with the assemblies of God.

They are in upper-level leadership in the assemblies of God in a foreign country where they're seeing thousands of people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. They are overseeing multiple churches. Hey, what's better? Fixing some good sandwiches or being a part of a church movement that's winning people to Jesus Christ. God said back then, I'm not answering your prayer.

James dies, Peter lives, because I have something better for that person. I'm running out of time, but I gotta share this with you. And this is not please. Actually, I may be wrong on what I'm about to tell you. I actually I may be wrong.

But I need this and this isn't always the case. One of the hardest things for me as a pastor is to minister to families who've lost a child. It tears me up. And I came across a verse a little while back. Isaiah 55, 9.

That helps me, and I'm not saying every child who died, this is it, this is not, but this helps me. Um actually it's uh backup, it's Isaiah 57.1. Isaiah 57, 1. He says, Good people pass away. The godly often die before their time.

But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil that is to come. Could it be? That these children who are under the grace of God when they die and they go to heaven, could it be that God looks in the future and says, I know what's going to happen with this kid. And this kid is not going to walk with Jesus Christ.

This kid is going to go a different direction. And so I'm going to allow this child to come home while this child. While this child is under my grace, could it be sometimes? I'm not saying it always happens, could that be sometimes? That God sees something in the future that mom and dad can't see, and God says, Trust me, it will be better for this kid to come home to be with me right now.

I don't know. I just I don't know. But Paul doesn't have an answer to his prayer. And God finally comes to him in 2 Corinthians 12 and says, God, Paul, the reason I haven't answered your prayer is. Pride is going to destroy your ministry.

I have said no to keep you humble.

So sometimes God gives an answer.

Sometimes you go to your grave without the answer to prayer, and God never tells you why. And that's where Isaiah 55:9 comes in. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts. In other words, God says, I could try to explain this to you and you wouldn't get it. I mean, imagine a little baby, an infant.

Three hours old in the hospital, wrapped up in that blanket, asleep in mama's arms, and that little infant is there. Imagine you trying to explain quantum physics to that little baby. Is that baby going to get it? Yeah. Imagine that little Four-hour-old baby in mama's arms, and you come up and you're trying to explain Christmas.

Cryptocurrency to that little baby. I don't I don't even understand cryptocurrency. And let me say this. Every time I say that, A well-meaning church member after service will come to the lobby. And you don't understand, you're making it worse.

You make me feel more stupid when you say, it's simple. Do you explain it? I don't get it, but because it's simple, I must be an idiot, so don't explain it to me, okay? But you can't explain it to that little baby. Wouldn't understand.

Listen to me. The intellectual gap between you And God is infinitely greater than the intellectual gap between you and that infant. And God says, I know it doesn't make sense from your perspective. But I'm God. And my ways just aren't your ways.

So what do you do? And then Are we just to give up on faith? Because God is God and He's sovereign, and He's going to do whatever He wants to do, and James is going to die, and Peter's going to live. Do we just, no, no, no. Listen to me, very quickly.

We need to have two kinds of faith here at Cross Assembly. I want Cross Assembly to be a church of two kinds of faith. And we see those two kinds of faith. in Hebrews chapter 11. Hebrews 11:32, we call this the hall of faith.

Great men have got in the past, and it says, How much more do I need to say? It'd take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets. By faith, these people overthrew kingdoms. They ruled with justice. They received what God promised them.

They shut the mouths of lions. They quenched the flames of fire. They escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle, put whole armies to flight.

Women received their loved ones back again from death. But others were tortured. Refusing to turn from God in order to be set free. They placed their hope in a better life after the resurrection.

Some were jeered at, and their backs were cut open with whips. Others were chained in prison.

Some died by stoning.

Some were sawed in half. Others were killed with a sword.

Some went about wearing skins of sheep and goats, destitute and oppressed and mistreated. They were too good for this world, wandering over deserts and mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground. All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised. For God had something better in mind for us so that they would not reach perfection without us. We need two kinds of faith.

Are y'all listening to me? I don't want to get one faith. We need two kinds of faith. We need Supernatural faith. And we see that in verse 33 and 34 and 35.

They quench fire. They defeated armies. They raise people from the dead by their faith. We like supernatural faith, don't we? We like to see the miracles and the signs and the wonders and the cancers healed and the demons cast out.

We like that and we need supernatural faith. But there's a second faith. And that's sustaining faith. And we see that in verses 35 through 8. Sustaining faith says, I'm going to stay true to Jesus.

Even if everything falls apart, even if I don't get my miracle, even if I don't get my sign or wonder, I'm still going to cling to the Lord Jesus Christ, even if God says no. A little while back. in the lobby. Lady came up, said, My husband has left me. It's broken my heart.

But I'm walking with Jesus Christ because I know I'm walking with Jesus and He's going to bring my husband back. That's great. But what have he done? You still gonna walk with Jesus? I'm dying of cancer.

But I'm going to walk with Jesus because I know Jesus, the same God that split the Red Sea open, He's going to heal my cancer. Praise God. What if he doesn't? Are you still going to walk with Jesus? That's sustaining faith.

Sustaining faith says, I'm going to stay true to Jesus even if He doesn't give me my miracle, because Jesus means more to me than my answer to prayer. And I'm not just using Jesus to get my answer to prayer. I love Jesus because He's Jesus. That's sustaining faith. And we see that all over the Bible.

We see that in this passage. Verse 35. All right, these people got their supernatural answer to prayer, verse 35, but these people were tortured. These people lost everything they had. These people were taken between two trees and sewn in half.

These people never got their miracle. And does the Bible say that the people in this sustaining faith category that stay true to God even when all hell came against them and they never got their miracle? Listen to me. Does it say their faith? Was inferior to the supernatural faith people that did get their miracle, sign, wonder.

Do you understand the question? Are the sustaining people who don't get their miracle but they stay close to Jesus? Is their faith somehow inferior to those who do get their miracle? Start with this passage says. Verse 38 says, No, these people That didn't give their miracle, but they stayed true to Jesus.

Verse 38 says, They were too good for this world. Wow. They were the best humanity has to offer. Doesn't say that about the supernatural faith people, does it? Did you notice that?

It doesn't say the people who got their sign, wonder, or miracle, they were too good for this world. It does say those who didn't get their sign, wonder, or miracle, and they were still walking with Jesus Christ and they didn't care because they just loved Jesus. They were too good for this world. Job is another example. Job loses everything.

His job, his health, seven sons, three daughters, they're all killed. And somebody said, if God ain't providing for you, and if God didn't getting you what you want, walk away from God. And Job says in Job 13:15, he says, Let me explain something to you. Though he slayed me, I'm still gonna trust in him. That sustaining face.

Even if I don't get my miracle. Who do I have in heaven but you, oh God? I ain't going to turn my back on you. Because I'm not just using you to get what I want. I just love you.

Though he Slay me. I'm still gonna trust him. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are told: if you don't turn your back on God, you'll be thrown into the fiery furnace and you'll be incinerated alive. And in Daniel 3, they give an example of sustaining faith. They said, Our God whom we serve Is able to save us from the fiery furnace, and he will rescue us.

But if he doesn't not. Let us make it clear to you, Your Majesty. We will never serve your gods and we're never going to worship your idols. God can save us that supernatural faith. But if he doesn't save us, we're still going to walk with God.

That's sustaining faith. You've gotta have both. And so. In just a second, church, we're going to... We're going to exercise.

Some supernatural faith. Because I don't know about you. I believe God still moves and works today, don't you? But even if he doesn't do a single miracle down here today, I'm still going to walk with him because he's God and I love him and he sent his son to die for me. He is my best friend.

He has a home waiting for me. He is the light of my life. He is my salvation. He is my joy. Even if I don't get my miracle, I'm going to walk with him because I not only have supernatural faith, I have sustaining faith.

You gotta have both. That's talking to A brother the other day, he was going to be here this service, and he's he can't be here. He's The doctor said it's over. Your cancer's too far gone. You won't be healed.

And he was going to come here today in a wonker, and he just couldn't. And I asked him the other day, I said, well, how do you want me to pray for you? He said, How do you want me to I pray for me. I want you to pray until my final breath that God supernaturally heals my body. And if he doesn't, I go home to be with Jesus.

It's a win-win situation. That's supernatural faith. and sustaining faith.

So again, we're seeing incredible miracles. We had a prayer gathering a little while back, and God spoke prophetically and said, A lady was going to be healed. of hearing loss here today. A few minutes later, the lady Walked up with her hearing aids and said, I don't need these anymore. God has supernaturally restored my hearing.

Recently we had a lady here bent over from scoliosis. God touched her and she straightened up and for the first time in years she walked perfectly straight. God heal that scoliosis. One of my favorite, y'all remember a couple weeks ago when I said, God not only heals bodies, He heals minds. Y'all remember when I talked about that?

Somebody told me after they were down front ministering, this young man is just weeping. Hey, so something what's wrong? He said they're gone. He said, what's going on? He said the voices are gone for years.

Last several years, I've had voices in my head that don't stop. It's 24-7, that would not stop. The voices, the voices, the voices. And when Pastor Chad said, come forward for healing, he said, as soon as I stood up, the voices stopped and they haven't come back yet. God can do that.

Now, based on Isaiah 53, 5, 1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8, 16 through 17, and others, we believe this.

Something happened at the cross of Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago. According to those verses, it wasn't just spiritual. When the blood of Jesus was shed 2,000 years ago, It ushered in a new era of his kingdom. And according to those verses, something happened. That not only broke the power of sin, it also.

begin to neutralize the power. of sickness. That's all we put it this way. We believe that healing is in the atonement, in the blood of Jesus Christ. And I believe Jesus wants to heal today.

In fact, I've forgotten about this because I was driving into church today. I told my wife, I said, What's that? I woke up at 2 o'clock in the morning. I just laying there, I couldn't get back to sleep. The Holy Ghost spoke to my heart and said, You need to tell the church somebody is going to be delivered from an addiction in this place today.

I don't know if it's a porn addiction, a drug addiction, I don't know what kind of addiction, but I just believe that the God who heals bodies, heals souls, can also break addictions through the blood of Jesus.

So here's what I want us to do. I want you to stand with me. Oh, Chad, I can't tell you how many times I've been forward. Y'all poured oil on me, you put enough oil on me to luba locomotive train, it doesn't work. No, no, no.

Sustaining faith says, I'm going to keep coming. Like Brian said, I'm going to pray. For my miracle. until my dying breath. And if I die, I go home to be, I'm going to keep praying.

I won't keep knocking. I want to keep asking. If you have a physical healing that needs to take place.

Something's wrong with your body. Here's what we're going to do in a few moments. We're going to just start singing, and while we're singing, I want you to come forward. If you have If you're that person. that has that alcohol addiction.

That drug addiction that needs to be broken? I want you to come forward. If you have that kid. Yeah. who is left home.

and turned his back on the faith. Turn her back on the Lord Jesus Christ. And you want that kid to come back home, and you say it's going to take a miracle. God says, if you need a miracle, I got a miracle. If you have that kid, I want you to come for it.

If you need a y'all listening to me. If you need a supernatural touch from God. While we sing this song, I want you to come forward. then I'm going to kind of calm them down just a little bit, and I'm going to pray over you. And we're gonna have elders, deacons, pastors, and their wives just lay hands on you and start to pray for you.

I'm only gonna ask those who have a badge to pray with people. Because we have some weirdos who sometimes kind of slip in and get weird. I don't want weirdos praying, I want good people praying for my people, okay?

So, elders, deacons, pastors, prayer team, and their wives. Time. Don't come right now. Y'all start singing right now. And if you need a miracle, You come down right now.

Let's just believe God to do something miraculous in this place today. I believe the pie I bleed the blood of Jesus. It's more than enough. I bleed the blood of Jesus. My shield and my shelter is my defense.

I claim it over and over again. I plead the blood. I bleed the blood of Jesus over my children and over my family. I plead the blood, I plead the blood over my future and over my body. I plead the blood, I plead the blood.

Over our schools and over our cities, I plead the blood, I plead the blood, and over the darkness and over the enemy, I plead the blood, I plead the blood. There's something about the atmosphere of faith That allows the Spirit of God to move.

Sometimes I get this. What are we supposed to do with all these people down here? Pray! That's what you're supposed to do. Right now lift up Holy hands.

Right now. And for the next few moments Let's pray. For a supernatural touch of the Holy Spirit in this place.

Now, he's stirring something in the heavenly realms right now. Just pause in the presence of the Spirit of God right now. It's not a different God, it's the same. I don't know about your Bible. My Bible says, behold, I'm God.

I changeth not. I'm the same yesterday, today, and forever. The same God who healed in the Old Testament, in the New Testament, is right here, right now through his Spirit, and he is preparing to do a miracle in this place. Spirit of God, you are welcome to this place right now. Oh, darling, out of my sight out.

Just pray right now. Spirit of God, come. Come right now, Spirit of God. Do your work in this place right now. The same God that split the Red Sea.

Wide open. The same God that made dead people come back to life. The same God that made the blind to see the deaf to them. To hear, the lame, to walk. That God is in this place right now.

Spirit of the living God, just come and move right now. I'm not sure if I can do it. Addiction be broken in the name of Jesus Christ. Alcohol addiction be broken. Porn addiction be broken?

prodigal come back home Cancer be healed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, I got my sata baby Jesus Jesus O radar mama satara raba mamama Prayer team, I need you to go person by person right now. And just we got a lot of people to be prayed for. In fact, here's what we're going to do. I'm going to dismiss you right now.

I want you to leave just very quietly. Be sensitive to what the Spirit of God is doing down front here. When I say amen, you can leave. I'm going to ask everybody down front, do not leave. Spirit of God is moving right now.

Don't leave. Those of you because we're gonna have parking problems in just a second. Those of you who need to leave, you can leave. But the Spirit of God is moving. He is working.

He's bringing marriages back together. He's bringing prodigals home. He's breaking addictions right now. I do believe cancer is being healed in this place right now. God is doing something miraculous.

So let me dismiss the rest of y'all. And y'all just stay right down front, and the team will let y'all keep ministering. Can y'all keep doing that? Just pause another second in the presence of God. He's like a dove.

Yeah, sometimes it comes down like fire.

Sometimes it's like a rushing wind.

Sometimes he comes down like a dove. Again. May the healing presence of the Holy Spirit like a dove. Just descend upon us right now. He sees a red Hey, for the rest of you.

That same God who heals cancers, he's with you. That same God who casts out demons, He's with you. I'm going to say this to y'all: Hazak Be Amatz, Ata Eropa, Atahet, Chi, Emeha, Adonai, Elehecha, Behold, Eshe, Telech, which is Hebrew for y'all, be bold, you be strong, you don't be afraid, you don't be intimidated by anything. Why? Because the Lord your God is going to be with you this week, everywhere you go, in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Y'all are dismissed. The rest of y'all stay down right here. The Spirit of God is moving you. The Spirit of God is moving. Y'all keep ministering.

Let's keep ministering. Yeah.
