Friends, there are 47 million immigrants in our country. One out of seven people in America are immigrants, and they could be from any nationality, but there's a man of God, his first name is Troy, who has a ministry, and they're reaching these people, and they're going on AM, FM, any kind of radio station they want in America, and playing different languages.
What languages do you play, Troy? Well, we have over a thousand languages, actually, and it's amazing how God has given us the opportunity to provide the Word of God to an immigrant, and you know, you and I, as English-Western-American speakers, that's kind of a foreign concept, but when you're from, you're from, maybe you speak Yoruba, and you're from Nigeria, all of your history, your culture, it all is passed down through story and songs, so when they hear the Bible dramatized and come alive, they are absolutely drawn to it, and for them, it's like a cool drink of water as they're working in that Uber car, delivering those groceries. A lot of Uber drivers, a lot of folks that are just kind of looking and searching, and you're not playing sermons, like we do a lot on the Truth Network, and one of our many awesome affiliates carry messages, which I love to listen to, and you're not carrying talk shows like I do, debates and all, but you're carrying God's Word, just 24-7. 24-7, just the Bible, you know, and it's amazing how people's lives are being transformed just by hearing it. I want to make sure I say the name of your ministry, International Scripture Ministries. What's so powerful about God's Word that lives are changed?
People have told me, death row inmates have read the Bible, and it's changed their life. What is it about God's Word, and this is exactly what y'all are doing? Well, it's because He watches over His Word to perform it, and even though we preach, and that's a fabulous thing, but remember, the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, moves in the hearts of people, convicts people, blesses people, encourages people, what, when they hear God speak to them in their heart language, the language the mother speaks, right? You and I don't think about that, but imagine being in a city where you don't know anyone, and you're listening to English all day long, and someone comes along and starts speaking to you in Kunkumba, or somebody speaks to you in Ayamara or Quechua, and it's like a cool drink of water, and the Lord begins to speak to them through the Word, and they're transformed by it.
And you've seen it happen. That drives you with International Scripture Commission to get out there. Thank you, Steve. Pray that people will receive the Word, and the revival will break out in our land. I know that 47, 48 million immigrants might be controversial, but as Christians, we should pray that we should love the sojourner like ourselves.
Why? Because God has brought them here to receive His Word. If we can't go there, He's brought them here. So pray for us that we would not only get the Word to them, but that revival would happen as a result.
That's right. And so, I mean, wherever you fall on the issue of illegal or illegal immigration, I mean, obviously, there's a rule law. We have to have laws. But bottom line is, whether they're shipped out or whether they stay or whatever happens, they need the gospel. They need Jesus. So we need to seize every moment to reach them. And there's a way to do that without compromising law.
But we're called by our higher law to share the gospel with them while we still have time, right? How about St. Patrick, one of the greatest ones that was brought against his will. And then he gets free from being a slave, goes back to his people, and then God puts it on his heart. We wouldn't have the Irish Catholic Church, the Irish Christian Evangelical Church. None of it would happen if St. Patrick hadn't been an illegal immigrant.
And think about that. If someone is here and you lead them to Christ and they're from another country, now they can go back. They speak the language. They can go back to the other country and lead more people to Jesus, right?
Oh, Stu, let me tell you what's happening. For every one immigrant that we reach in America, we're seeing digitally, they're reaching up to 20 back home. Some of the most exciting is that people that we reach that speak Tagalog. Do you know we reach more Tagalog Filipino speakers in Saudi Arabia than we do in the Philippines because they're domestic workers? You reach them here and then they go and they spread it and they can text it.
And they're already doing the wire funds and whatnot. And so why not, you know, reach them? They can reach people with gospel now. And just like I said, they need to know and understand that Jesus and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that we all follow is the reason that our nation is so successful. And they want to hear it, you know? And so I would just want to challenge those of you that are listening. Think about those people that are not only waiting on you, but the next time you get a new Uber, just ask them, what language do you speak? Where are you from? And they'll say, well, I speak English. No, no, no.
What language does your mother speak? And watch what happens. And then you go to ism.bible. You give them a Bible in their own language and just watch how God can use you. You listening right now can actually be a missionary to the world and never leave your hometown.
You can do it. But be careful because if you tell that Uber driver, he might get saved and tell someone else and they might tell other people it might go back. It might go into an area of these parts of the world are less than 1% Christian. I mean, this is dangerous. Troy, what are you talking about here, man?
What do you, what do you, you're inciting a riot here, man. It's the most exciting thing you could possibly imagine. I think the apostle Paul would be, in fact, what does it say in Mark chapter 16 verse 15? It says, go into all the world and preach the gospel, right? That word world is the Greek word, uh, cosmos system, manmade system. It's the same word that is used in John three 16 where God so loves the world, right? So those of you, all of us, we have the ability to go into all the world, every system, whether that's a digital system, social media system, mobile app phone system, and we can preach the gospel there.
Get a Bible yourself, get it in their heart language and just share the word and watch what God does with you. All you have to be is willing and God will find a way and you guys are doing it through technology and we love talking to you and we're, someone might say, Oh wait, hold on, Stu, you're in radio. Are you, is this a competitor? Hey, listen, if you and more souls than me, hallelujah, I'm going to keep supporting and promote you guys till the cows come home. And we just love you. We love truth. We love the network. We're so grateful for what you do because you are the tip of the spear.
You're letting people know those people that are driving in that Uber car. Maybe you're listening right now and you're one of those immigrants I'm talking about. You need God's word and truth network here is providing it for you. I pray that you will also support the truth network.
