There's all kinds of networks out there.
There's business networks, there's sports networks, there's news networks, there's the Truth Network. But what about a pastor's network? And why should your pastor be in a network? And if you're a pastor, this next few minutes is going to bless you. And if you're not, you're going to be blessed to know that your pastor is loved and your pastor is invited to jump into something. Because I'm with the president of the Liberty Pastors Network right here sitting next to me.
We're at a special event. I'm going to let you, Nathan, you're also the pastor of Revo Church in Winston-Salem, right up the street from us in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. But you're here with pastors from all over the country and the world, aren't you? We are.
We're here in Lynchburg, Virginia at the Refuel Conference put on by the Liberty Church Network. Like you said, there are networks for all kinds of people, and that's the same with churches and pastors as well. But the thing that makes the Liberty Church Network unique is we're not a denomination.
You don't have to live in a certain side of the country. It's all about this. It's the Great Commission. Jesus left us with the mission to make disciples. And so for pastors, church leaders all over the country, if that's your language, if you want to get better at being a disciple maker, then the Liberty Church Network is a tribe where men and women from all over the country call home and are getting better at what Jesus called them to do. Well, we walked in expecting to pay three, four hundred bucks to hear these national speakers, powerful speakers, Jimmy Scroggins, other big church planters, Pastor Jonathan Falwell. And they're like, no, come on in, and we'll give you lunch, and we're going to give you all these resources. I mean, Pastor Nathan, this is like too good to be stew.
I mean, I couldn't believe it. That's been on the heart of Dr. Falwell and also Pastor Jonathan. Big fans of pastors.
We know how hard it is to be on the front lines of ministry. And there are a lot of conferences, a lot of resources out there that will gladly take three, four, five thousand dollars from you. But part of the vision of a refuel conference here in Lynchburg every October and September and October here is we want to provide an opportunity for pastors to be re-energized and refueled. We want you to bring your whole team. Now, if you're charging two or three hundred dollars for a conference, you can't bring your whole team. A lot of pastors of smaller churches can't even get here for three or four hundred dollars. But this conference is meant to be a gift. Let's put the best that we can give, worship by Charles Billingsley, pastors and leaders from all over the country coming into Lynchburg, Virginia, all to invest in men and women that are on the front lines of ministry at no cost to you.
It doesn't get any better than this. You've got the food, you've got the speakers, but at the end of the day, our pastors are really front line ministers. And they get a lot of heat, and they get a lot of struggles, and we hear about a pastor falling from grace, we hear some things, they take a lot of darts. But as a pastor, Nathan, as a pastor and as president of this Liberty Church network, talk about your heart and talk about the stuff that was really going on in a pastor's life. So our listeners, they're here preaching a sermon, taking some notes, maybe shaking his hand and hugging him afterward, maybe not, but talk about what's going on in that guy's life and why this kind of thing is so necessary. Well, first of all, Stu, I know we see stories all over the news, all over social media of pastors that are having moral failures, they're falling in various ways.
Let me tell you something, I want to remind the listeners of something. For every one pastor that you hear of that had a moral failure, there's a hundred out there that are faithfully serving Jesus. So I get that we hear the big stories, but you are a part of a church, people all over the country are going to churches with pastors and leaders that love Jesus, that love people, that are focused on the mission that he's entrusted us with. And so I get it, man, we want to pray for those pastors and it is happening way too often, but I know of hundreds of pastors that are faithful day in and day out serving Jesus, staying faithful to their families, faithful with the word. So man, if you are fortunate enough to go to a church like that, hug your pastor, encourage him, it's tough. Pastoral ministry is a job where everyone essentially looks at the pastor and says, hey, when I'm having a bad day, when I'm going through a difficulty, when my family or my life is on the struggle bus, would a pastor reach out to me?
Would somebody help counsel me? Will someone love me and let me know that they're in my corner? Well, hey, pastors need that too. And a lot of times church members just believe that pastor is Superman and they never have a bad day and their marriage never struggles or their kids are never prodigals.
That's just not true. And so when you look at your pastor week in and week out, hopefully you see a servant that is wrapping the towel around their waist like Jesus. But you also need to see a leader that has a heart that is going through life just like you are, that has good days and bad days. And just having people that were willing to reach out to me and say, hey, pastor, how are you doing? I care about you. I care about your family. I appreciate the way you serve me, but how can I help you?
I hate to say it, but those people are few and far between. But if you, like our listeners, if they can be an advocate like that for their pastor, I'm telling you, you will make a huge difference in the life of a spiritual leader. You know how cool Pastor Jonathan, God's obviously blessed Thomas Road Baptist Church, great legacy, his dad, a soul winner, a church planter. He was on the radio in those early days of our family's radio ministry up here in Lynchburg.
My grandpa actually put Dr. Fall on the air. And so Jonathan and I are like sons of the pioneers, but it's neat that he's not keeping all that to himself. He's sharing it. And you're a pastor, you've got two campuses, your church is growing, Revo Church in Winston-Salem, and you're sharing it. You guys are looking out to others to say, hey, we want to bring you in because the church is God's plan A, right?
Absolutely, and there is no plan B. So with LCN and with churches like Revo, there's over 5,000 churches that have been planted by the Liberty Church Network. We're growing on that. We're training hundreds of pastors every month throughout the country and our local center leaders, and just equipping pastors and leaders in churches to be great disciple makers. And so it's fun to see a vision that Dr. Falwell cast 50 years ago still coming to fruition with another generation, a next generation. I'm praying that God will raise up a new generation of Dr. Falwells and pastors in churches today that have a dream that is going to last way beyond their life in ministry. And you've got ten of your guys here from your church ministry that are up here encouraging.
You've got a lot of Liberty Church Network guys here. We brought up a bunch on the Energize Bus with Andy Bowersox to pray for your pastor bus. We've got a bunch of guys in there while we're in your interview, and they're in there hearing a great message from a pastor encouraging them. Talk about your testimony a little bit. I'd love to hear about before Revo Church, before being the president of the Liberty Church Network and all that God's doing there. How did you come to faith in Christ?
And talk about who is Pastor Nathan from then before Christ, how you met Christ to now. Yeah, well, before I was a pastor, I was a pastor's kid. And so I grew up. That's right.
You got to love it. So I grew up seeing everything behind the scenes and ministry is great and it's rewarding, but it's also difficult. And so I saw my dad lead our family and lead his marriage and lead my brother and I and also lead a church.
He was the same person on the stage as he was in the home. And at 10 years old, I heard my dad preach a sermon on Father's Day and he talked about how God desires to have a personal relationship with us through Jesus. And I knew that I knew who God was. I could tell you all the answers to the Bible drills and all the questions. But that was the first time it registered with me, wait, I can have a personal relationship with God?
Like not just know about him, but know him. And I remember we grew up in a Baptist church where at the end of the service, my dad always gave an altar call. And my mom knew, my mom would tell my brother and I at the end of the service when the altar call was made, Nathan, you do not talk, you do not misbehave.
Like this is the time where Jesus is changing people's lives. And I remember trying to on that Father's Day, my dad sitting at the front of the church, receiving people at the altar. And I began to step out. I'm trying to squeeze past my mom and my mom jerks me up by the arm. And she said, Nathan, you know, during the altar call, you do not move around.
You do not go to the bathroom. I looked at my mom and said, Mom, I'm ready to give my life to Jesus. She said, Nathan, what are you doing, man? Get out there in the aisle. Like walk down to the front, man. Like run up there to your dad. And my dad helped me pray a prayer to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. And that was at 10 years old in Columbia, South Carolina.
My life has not been the same since. Praise the Lord. Well, that's the voice of Pastor Nathan Klein. He pastors Revo Church.
And he's the president of the Liberty Church Network. They do these one pop-up refuels. You know, you've heard of pop-up stores. Well, how about a pop-up pastor refueling?
You do those kind of all over the country. What's the website folks may want to come to? The one in Raleigh.
They may want to come, they want to get ahead of the game and go to refuel next year. They may want to go and download some of the amazing messages from some of these pastors from the refuel events you've done in the past. Give us the website information, how they can connect with you, Pastor Nathan.
Yeah, absolutely. At LibertyChurchNetwork.com, you'll see all of the information. We do these one-day conferences all over the country. Last week, we were in Albany, New York. Coming up, we're going to be in Pompano Beach. We're going to be in Orlando.
You don't want to miss those. Come on. Pompano Beach, New Guinea. That's a long way to go.
Incredible. So we like to travel around the country. Instead of asking pastors to come to us, we want to come to them.
It reduces the expenses. All of that information can be found. Past messages can be found at Refuel.org, Liberty Church Network, all of the list of churches. Maybe there's a church in your area that is serious about making disciples and you want to be a part of it.
All the information is there at LibertyChurchNetwork.com. A lot of folks listening love their pastor. Give them something right now, if you would, as a pastor. As the president of the Liberty Church Network, give them something right now to say to their pastor. Maybe next time they see him. That could be a bit encouraging. Or they could put it in the form of a note, too. Pastor Nathan, give us something as we get out of here.
Sure. When I hear people come up to me, and not just say, great sermon, or that was a really good talk, but let me share with you how God used something that you said or did to impact my life. That reminds me that everything is worth it. It's hearing stories of life change.
Not just generics. I know it's a great compliment. Hey, great sermon, pastor. I really appreciate you. Get specific with your encouragement with your pastor and let him know how God is using him to impact your life in a really significant and supernatural way.
That will mean the world to him. Pray for your pastor and pray for the Liberty Church Network. So many ways God is using you in a big way. Pastor Jonathan, the amazing team here, Adam, Jason, all the wonderful.
Charles Billingsley, who does a lot of the music. The way God is using you all. How can we pray for you all as we get out of here? We just started a scholarship program with Liberty University for pastors to come back to seminary. With that scholarship program, we're going to begin not only to train people, pastors and leaders, but with the partnership that we have with Liberty University, we've already planted over 5,000 churches. We want to plant another 5,000. So I would pray and ask you guys to pray that God would send people to us, the next generation of pastors and leaders, and let's go out and plant another 5,000 churches and reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We need people praying and asking God to send laborers into the fields for the harvest. It's ripe, Stuart. We've got to get to it. Website one more time. LibertyChurchNetwork.com
