All right. Let's talk. A daily program powered by the Truth Network. This is kind of a great thing, and I'll tell you why. Where pop culture, current events, and theology all come together.

Speak your mind. And now, here's today's Truth Talk Live host. How do you see God in your labor? Yes, it's Labor Day weekend. It is Labor Day weekend.

How fun is that? And what a time to honor labor, and so as we're thinking about that, you know, the question today that we would love you to call in and chime in, how do you see God in your labor? The number to call in is 866-348-7884, 866-348-7884, and the idea is, you know, I remember like one time, years ago, I made turquoise jewelry, I lived in Albuquerque, and that was what everybody in Albuquerque did.

I know you're not shocked about that. But you know, I used to have to weld these little, they were the cones that go on the end of turquoise necklaces, I'm trying to think of those squash blossom necklaces or something like that, and it was really cool because solder melts, especially if you're using the silver to make the little cones, it would melt right before, you know, the whole thing would just burn up, and so you actually had to get it to just where it would liquefy, and you could kind of see yourself, like God would see himself in a reflection right, right before it liquefied, and I remember that, and I know that at work you see something like that, or maybe you see it in the people you work with, or how do you see God in your labor? That's the question today on Truth Talk Live, 866-348-7884, 866-348-7884. The number, the thought I was thinking of, Nick, was solder, and silver solder just melts right just a second before the whole thing is just tanked, and of course it took me a long time to figure out exactly what the, how did it get that, but when you got it and it liquefied for that, it was just millisecond, it was magnificent, and it had to do with, you know, I could just see God all over that, I can still see God all over it, how about you in your work, 866-348-7884, and kind of fun, we have Billy Malden, he is with Motor Reach, I mean, excuse me, yeah, Motor Racing Outreach, MRO, and if you're familiar with that organization, they are always at the racetracks, always doing amazing things for evangelism for Jesus, and boy, they got an amazing event coming up, so speaking of a way to celebrate your labor, right, Billy? Yeah, absolutely, thank you so much for letting me join you today, it sounds like a tremendous topic. Yeah, and I imagine that Motor Racing Outreach, you guys get to see Jesus in your work going on, right? That's pretty much all we do, everything we do is really workplace ministry, and you know, it's a little bit different, it's an awesome question, really, for people to think about, because a lot of times folks don't realize that their workplace can be their most, I don't know, how do I say this, fruitful place of ministry. You know, you spend a lot of time, sometimes you spend more time in the workplace than anywhere else over the course of a week, and you know, God brings people around you and across your path and through your life, and you know, even out here for us at the racetrack, you know, where people are working, we've often found that if you're just there, if you're just present, and you are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, people will be drawn to you by that Spirit, and conversations, questions, and sometimes they're just watching you. They're observing your life, and you're impacting people far more than you realize, far more than you realize, but it's hard sometimes to realize that, you have to take it a little bit by faith, but man, I would just encourage anybody that's out there to realize their workplace can be their most fruitful place of ministry. They don't have to go anywhere else, the people are coming there with them. Right, and it's like God placed you there, right? Knowing that you have something in common with all those people you work with, that also, you know, they have something in common with you as far as what's in their heart and what could be in their heart. So, but anyway, you guys have this amazing concert, all this stuff going on, share with our listeners about that.

Billy? Yeah, thank you, September the 5th at Charlotte Motor Speedway, we're hosting a special event that night, it's called the MRO Bump and Run 5K, that also has a live concert, great food, fireworks to conclude the night, but the most special news of all probably is who our live music is, and we are fortunate and blessed to have Jeremy Camp joining us there at the back, we'll be in the infield, actually in the NASCAR garage, for a live concert with Jeremy Camp, and it's his kickoff stop on his new tour, so we're really excited about this neat opportunity, it's a great way for some folks to kind of see the summer come to an end, maybe begin to get a feel for the beginning of fall, and you know, just really have a great night. The 5K, you can walk it, you can ruck it, you can run it, but it's a unique opportunity to actually get on the track and pit road at Charlotte Motor Speedway and see what it's like up close and personal yourself. Yeah, it really is fun out on that track.

So I guess, you say it's a bump and run, so I guess you can bump into your neighbors. Well, we will have officials on the track, as long as it stays within the margin of error, we'll allow a little contact, it is a NASCAR-related event, but nah, just a fun play on some words obviously that are relative to our community, but just a neat opportunity, it's fun, we're seeing a lot of individuals sign up, but a lot of running clubs and different places like Burn Bootcamp and others are putting teams together to come out and just have a good night, and so you know, the run will kick off at 7, then the live music will kick off about 7.45, hopefully to have fireworks, taking off about 9, 9.10, somewhere right in there, so that everybody can get home at a decent hour as well, but just have a really special night, and anybody that's familiar with Jeremy Camp's music, it's art for worship, it's art for the Lord, knows that that in and of itself is going to be just a powerful time, and maybe something even worth considering bringing your friends to, maybe you've got some friends that would be interested to see the track that would hang around with you for a concert, could be a fun opportunity for some folks to connect with people if they've been trying to get them to do something relative to their faith. Yeah, that's so wonderful, the tickets are only $25 and 12 and under are free, and so I guess this coming Thursday night, right? Yeah, it's coming up quickly, and if anybody wants more information about the concert and the run as well, just go to motorracingoutreach.com.

Everybody that runs will get a cool t-shirt, cool metal automatically, if you run you're automatically included in the concert. I hate we've got to go to a break, Billy, but we will be right back with more on how do you see God in your labor, we're going to give you a little more information about this event coming up this Thursday, and we need you to call in 866-348-7884, we'll be right back. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live, today's question is, is Labor Day weekend, I bet a bunch of you are on your way to the beach, or you're on your way to relatives, you're on your way for a blast, and I'm so glad, because the joy of the Lord is your strength, right?

And as you enjoy Jesus, I hope you guys have an amazing time, and the question today, and I would love, love, love for you to call in and share your thoughts, is how do you see God in your labor, right? And those who know me well know that I was a car salesman for nearly 40 years, and one way or the other, I worked at a number of dealerships as a car salesman, ended up with a Chrysler store in Mocksville, but I remember this one time that I had a dear friend whose son wanted a Jeep Cherokee, and again, this is the story of how I saw God at work, I really did, and I was like, okay Pete, what kind of Jeep does your son want? And you know, he just turned 18, his father was gonna buy him a Jeep, I thought that was pretty amazing, and he said he was gonna buy him a used Jeep, okay, and so we gotta find a used Jeep, what does he want, well he wants a Jeep Cherokee, which at that time was smaller than a Grand Cherokee, there weren't a lot of them, but they were available, it was called a Jeep Cherokee, and I said well, what kind of Jeep Cherokee, well he's very specific, I said okay, what does he want, and he said well he wants a two-door Jeep Cherokee, so if you're thinking about Jeep Cherokee, you just, there weren't at that time a whole lot of Jeep Cherokees, but now that you're saying you want a two-door, you've just eliminated 95% of them, okay, he wants a two-door Jeep Cherokee, what else? He wants it to be a straight drive, in other words a manual transmission, and so now, if you took the idea of a Jeep Cherokee, made it a two-door, and now you want it to be a manual transmission, you've just eliminated at least 99% of the Jeep Cherokees that were out there, and this has to be used, so you can't order it from the factory, so I mean, you gotta find this car, and he said, oh by the way, it needs to be red, and it needs to be four-wheel drive, oh, at the time, you know, for those of you who listen in Ohio and different places, right, I was a Jeep dealer in Mocksville, North Carolina, you know, population, you know, maybe 20,000, we're not talking about a big city, okay, and it's not like there's a lot of Jeep Cherokees getting traded in to begin with, or, you know, I could go to the auction and buy one, but I gotta admit, I didn't have a lot of faith that this car was gonna show up, but I knew that, you know, obviously, God is the God of the impossible, so I said, Pete, you and I are gonna pray right now, and one thing's for certain, your son had better be praying hard, because what he's asking for, you know, just seems to me to be just, you know, unbelievable, I just, I can't even imagine this particular car showing up, and so, he says, oh, he's been praying, he's been telling me exactly what it had to be, he knows the vehicle, and Robbie, I'm telling you, this is it, and it's gonna be available, I said, okay, all right, so, you know, he and I prayed right there on the phone, and if I didn't live this story, I would never ever, if somebody had told me this story on the radio, I would not believe it, but I lived it, so I know that it wasn't 10 minutes later, I mean, it's not like this happened two days later or whatever this is, I mean, it was like, I still had it very fresh in my mind, and out of the corner of my eye, I see a red two-door Cherokee pull into the parking lot, and I'm like, what? These people wanted to trade it for an automatic Grand Cherokee, like you might imagine, and I go strolling by it, and sure enough, I'm telling you, it was four-wheel drive, and it had a manual transmission, it was like the made order car for Pete's son, I'll never ever ever forget it, and I was just, God, you are amazing, this is unbelievable, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, like, man, and of course, Pete's son saw it, as he had prayed for that thing, and Pete's dad saw it, and everybody I've told the story since on the Christian Car Guys show, I mean, obviously, God shows up in amazing ways, and I know you have a story, but in order for us to glorify God and make him the hero of the story, because obviously he is, you gotta call us, 866-348-7884, and right before winter break, we were talking with Billy Malden with MRO, which is Motor Racing Outreach, and again, we were talking about this event that's coming up next Thursday night, tickets are $25, but the beautiful thing about taking part in that 5K, and taking part of that event, is Motor Racing Outreach is completely about sharing the best news you could possibly ever hear, right, Billy? Absolutely, sharing the gospel in the world of motorsports, it's been our honor, this is actually our 35th year doing it. Isn't that cool, that God is, you know, number one, he's blessed NASCAR, right? Because 35 years ago, it was a completely different thing.

We're still continuing to evolve, so hold tight. Yeah, I absolutely know that, but for our listeners that don't go out to NASCAR all that much, can you kind of give them an idea of MROs, which is short for Motor Racing Outreach, what their role is in NASCAR? Yeah, we're basically the chaplains that are part of the sport at the invitation of the racing community, so basically we show up at the track from the time the cars are on it, a little bit before, to the time the cars leave, or the race is over, and basically we're here to help support anybody and everybody, from drivers, crew members, media, PR, that are living this, you know, wonderful yet crazy life on the road, and our lives are all geared around weekends, so when a lot of folks can access church and Christian fellowship and so forth, obviously we're at racetracks, and MRO now, like I said, for 35 years has basically had the opportunity to bring the church to the track for anybody and everybody, whether they're looking to grow in their faith, or they're just seeking, and we've had the opportunity to be a part of everybody's lives, and as a matter of fact, just one of the special things we got to do was last week in Daytona, we baptized three right there in the ocean at Daytona Beach as part of our ministry, and you know, that's just one of the many stories, but this special night that we got coming up on September 5th is also another opportunity we feel like we can pour into the racing community and anybody that wants to come out, I mean everybody's welcome to come be a part of it, and you know, we hope between the music of Jeremy Camp and just the presence of the Lord, many lives will be impacted. Oh absolutely, and so again, today's topic, which man, I need you to call in, I can't believe it, you guys are all on the road, it's a great time, you know, you can use your hands free, it's 866-348-7884, but I'm curious, you know, Billy, obviously, you know, at some point in time, God called you into MRO, and I'm curious, you know, you went to work there and you began to see things, how did you know, like, okay God, this is why you have me here? What did you experience? Yeah, for me, this is my 25th year, and I started out actually volunteering, so I got exposed to the ministry just through giving time, but it really just kind of came together in a way that I knew God's hand was on it, because through my volunteering, the leadership came to me and they said, hey, we would like for you to be a regular part of what we're doing.

And I had a real peace about that, I had worked as an assistant youth pastor at a church in Charlotte, I'd actually been involved in politics for a while, running part of political campaigns, I'd done a number of different things, but this was the one that at that point in my life was just on my heart, and I would say the thing that led me most to have confidence in taking it was just a peace of God, that this was my moment, this was my time, and this was my place. Right, and who would know that, you know, like last Sunday, you had to take part in something like that, and of course everybody in NASCAR has a way of touching that experience again again. Thursday night, September 5th, right, it's at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, you can go to walk on the track itself, it's so much fun, you can go to MRO, right, give them the website one more time, well, we don't have time, we'll be right back.

You're listening to the Truth Network, and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to Truth Talk Live. Today is Labor Day weekend, right, and a lot of you are out driving, headed off to somewhere really fun on your adventures, and as we think about that, it's a good day to, you know, honor labor, like how do you see God in your labor, whatever that may be, whatever you labor with, you know, how did you experience that, and how do you experience that, you know, every day? I would love to hear your thoughts, 866-348-7884, 866-348-7884, you know, I worked really hard in the car business for a long time, and I finally got my shot at being a general manager. I was working at the Pontiac store at the time that was in Raleigh, North Carolina, and they said, Robbie, we're finally going to give you a job as a general manager. I worked for the Crown organization, and they said they were going to make me the general manager of Crown Dodge, and so this was actually during the first Gulf War, and it was in January that I went there, and I remember it well, and unfortunately, just due to the way the economy was at the time, about the time I got to my first ever opportunity to be a general manager, essentially the store was just tanking, and everything was going very badly, and we weren't selling any cars, and this went on for months, and it just wasn't turning around, and it kept on getting worse and worse and worse, and actually this was, you know, when I was just in the early throes of trying to decide whether or not I was going to give my life to Christ and that kind of thing, and as things got worse and worse, I remember one Friday afternoon, we got our letter from Chrysler that indicated what our customer satisfaction index was, so if you're not familiar with that term, you know, you would get a survey from Chrysler or whichever manufacturer about how you liked your car, how you liked your service, and how the dealer did, and the way they rated that for our dealership at the time was on a 4.0 scale, like you would do with your grades in school, and we got a 1.8, which was seriously a solid F, and in my world, when you're a general manager and your CSI goes down like that, then of course they'd be looking for a new general manager because they could lose their franchise if their customer satisfaction index didn't get back up, and so I, this, it was bad enough that we were losing money, it was bad enough we weren't selling any cars, but to have a horrible customer satisfaction rating on top of that was just like, that was a death blow, and I thought, man, I've worked my whole life to become a general manager, and here I am, and I am a total failure. I remember it well, and so I had heard about this wonderful prayer, I called it the five slamma jamma, cat's pajama prayer, where you would just go out and you would let go and let go and let God, and rather than do a lot of talking in this prayer, it took a lot of listening, and so I found my way out to this field, out near Sitchfield, actually, in Greensboro, and I just laid down in this field, and I just tried to listen for God, and I listened, listened, listened, listened, like, God, why do I even exist? What am I doing? Because I'm obviously a failure, this isn't working, and I've worked so hard, but nothing I'm doing is working, what is this, what's going on?

And I'm listening, and I'm listening, I'm listening, I fall asleep, and about two hours later, you know, my phone's ringing, and it's my wife who's telling me that everybody's looking for me, my boss is looking for me, it's not good, because I'm already in all kinds of trouble. Anyway, the next morning I get up, it's this Saturday morning, and I was just convinced that this prayer was going to work, and so I just went over and got in the living room and just sat there and prayed and prayed and prayed, and I wasn't saying anything, I was listening, listening, listening, like, God, I need you, I need you, I don't know what to do, I don't know what my next move is, what is it I'm supposed to be doing, do I even belong in the car business, you know, what is it that I'm supposed to do? And the most beautiful thing, I mean, at the turnaround point of my career, certainly, and to an extent my life, because it changed my faith so radically, was he just says to me, you know, Robbie, when all's said and done, it will not matter how many cars you sold, what your customer satisfaction rating is, how much money you made, none of that stuff's going to matter. And he said, the only thing that's going to matter is how many people you truly helped. And you know, I knew I didn't, that was way beyond my ability to think, and I said, wow, that makes perfect sense, that makes perfect sense, like, the only thing that really does matter is how many people you really helped.

And I just locked in on the concept, like, God just gave it to me as sort of a mantra for my life, he really did. And so I went back to work, and on Saturday, we normally didn't have meetings, but I just called a meeting, everybody in the dealership at the time, the service department, everybody. And I said, guys, I've talked to God, which they probably thought was quite hilarious, because my language at the time, there was nothing about me that would just reek of being a Christian, okay? And so, you know, they were like, what, Robbie, talk to God?

This is interesting. And I said, we have a new plan, all right? I said, from now on, we're not going to sell any cars, and we're not going to go after gross profit, we're not going to be selling a lot of service. I said, here's the plan. I said, what we're going to do is, when you see a customer out there, I said, you go out there and you lock onto them, and you try to figure out how to help them. I don't care if that means you've got to take them down to the Nissan store to help them find a Nissan, or you tell them, look, your credit is, let me help you get your credit straight, or whatever it is that you got to do to help this person sitting in front of you.

This is your job from now on. I don't want to hear anybody talking about how much gross they made, or anything else. I want to know, what did you do to help that person?

And what can we do to help that person? And that's our focus. And the same thing for service. I don't want to sell them 30,000, 60,000, 90,000 mile services. I want you to figure out, how can we help? I mean, why did they bring their car in the service department? What is it that they really want to get done here?

And what do we need to do to help them? And if we do that, I just feel like, you know, God will turn this thing around. I don't know how it's going to work, but I know I'm going to feel better.

I think you're going to feel better if what we do is try to help people. And it was miraculous. I mean, the whole dealership caught the concept, and the whole place just grabbed hold of the whole idea. And within weeks, literally, by the end of October, we had outsold every—and we weren't doing this to sell cars, don't get me wrong. This was not a gimmick to sell cars.

This was a gimmick to help people. But the results were so fruitful that we outsold the Honda store. We outsold the Pontiac.

You know, at that time, there were a lot more popular cars than Dodge, just saying. But God had blessed us amazingly, and interestingly, so much of my career took off from there. And to this very day, right, with the Christian Car Guys show, with the Jesus Labor Love, whether it's True Talk Live, like, whatever it is that I'm walking around doing, I always keep in mind what God told me many, many, many years ago.

Robbie, it's not going to matter what your customer satisfaction is, or all these kind of things. And so at the end of the day, how many people did you really help, right? And so in working for Truth Broadcasting, and to say, how does Robbie Dilmore seek God at work? You know, on my way to come do this show, right? There was a poor soul that got his car repossessed. And he was calling the Jesus Labor Love, because he desperately needed a car, and I had a chance to talk to them and pray with them.

And man, I get letters from inmates that are incarcerated, right? And they love holistic kingdom pursuits, because they like my riddles, and they like to think about, you know, my jokes, my dad jokes, however that may be, and all those kind of things. And I can't even believe, like, how God has blessed this idea that he gave me for, like, Robbie, here's a direction. Now, I understand that Jesus is completely my Savior. I mean, I made that journey, or God made that journey from my head to my heart, however that works, so I get that. But I'm really, really grateful for that idea that he gave me that really helps me, you know, as I get a chance to see him at work in other people's lives in so many different ways. And through the Truth Network, we do that. And just like, you know, we were talking a minute ago with Billy Malden, with Motor Racing Outreach, and they talked about, they baptized, you know, three people in the ocean at Daytona Beach last week. I mean, how amazing is that? And by the way, if you want to find out more about that race that we're talking about, the 5K, you go to motorracingoutreach.com, motorracingoutreach.com, all the information on that race.

But he talked about doing that. Well, you know, some day before last at my church, I got to baptize a couple of folks, and again, as a direct result of Truth Network slash, you know, what God gave me an opportunity to help people, right? They were there, people that helped you to get baptized. They were people that helped you to come to know Jesus. You know, however that worked, and now we as disciples, you know, we get to help others. And one of the ways that you could help me right this minute, Robbie Dilmore, is to call in because I want to hear your story.

You really would. And Nick would tell you this, there's Robbie, nothing Robbie likes better than a great testimony or a great call of somebody that, you know, they really see God. Whatever that is, and what it is that they do. And that number to call in is 866-348-7884, 866-34-TRUTH, because, you know, to me, like Billy said, we spend, a lot of us, more hours at work, you know, than anything else. And so hopefully you see a whole lot of God there, and how do you see Him?

And maybe your story would encourage somebody else to share theirs, 866-348-7884. We'll be right back. And those phone lines better be lit up, I'm just saying.

We'll be right back. How do you see God in your labor today on Christian Car Guy? What am I saying, it's Truth Talk Live. I'm sorry, it's Truth Talk Live. And how do you see God in your labor today? We need your stories, 866-348-7884, 866-348-7884. I'm so excited because I have, Donovan is in Roanoke, Virginia. Donovan, you're on Truth Talk Live, not the Christian Car Guy show. How are you today?

I love the other show, I love this show, too. I actually was a tool maker machinist for many years, so, which I don't do that anymore, but I totally saw my usefulness, you know, in the parts that I would make. You know, you see the names of the parts, you know, like you're making parts for an elevator or you're making parts for something that's medical equipment and you're saving a life. And sometimes I would even, like, ask Jesus to help me if there was stuff that was tough, you know, and I have to give him credit. I could not have did some of the tolerances without his help. There was parts I made that there was no way that I could have done it without God helping me. Wow. And Jesus completely behind me, I mean, I was holding like half the thickness of a hair or two-tenths of a thousandths, I don't know if you understand that dimension.

Oh, I do, I do, because, you know, engineering and cars, they kind of go together and... I was holding like two-tenths over a 14-inch length of, like, runout on this one thing and I only had players. There was like six pieces that bolted together by the time I was done. All there was was players that got me there, like, through the trials of trying to put it together and seeing, and then by the time you're giving it to the guy, I'm just playing.

I know it's close, but, you know what I mean, to actually do it and not have the mistakes being made through the months, it would take sometimes. Oh, man, I can assure you what you were doing, and I think a lot of folks don't realize that, man, I mean, you're up at 30,000 feet in an airplane and something doesn't have the right tolerance because the machine is something... You know, it was mechanical and people don't connect Jesus and God to the mechanical things, the Boeing things, the Boeing jet, the things flying through space that could just, you know, descend at any moment and come in our atmosphere if we didn't have complete control of them. And medical equipment. Oh, my goodness. I mean, there's somebody operating this and, you know, their tolerances. There was definitely a lot of, and even the guy, I have to admit, the guy that taught me how to make one of the MRI quality control pieces we made, he was very, very religious person. He was so religious or not religious, but I don't want to use that word because it's a bad word to kind of use to describe him. He brought his Jesus to work.

He strapped Jesus on. If you didn't accept Jesus at work with him, you weren't going to be able to learn what he was trying to teach you. I was trying to learn the tool-making thing from him, and it was unreal how he actually, he wouldn't let you cuss, he wouldn't let you do certain things, like he wouldn't let you, you know, talk on the phone around him and stuff. He demanded a certain kind of respect to teach you that this is a place that we're doing our work for Jesus, in a sense.

I mean, you're earning your cash here, so put your heart into it, kid. And because I was a younger man at the time, so he was putting it that way with me, treating me more of a son, and I can't remember, I think he was a seven-day Adventist, I'm not really sure, but he was in a very devout faith, one of them faiths that demanded a lot out of their parishioners, because, you know, he was definitely more into the church than I was. I was a younger man, still chasing after women, and, you know, doing that thing, but, you know, that changes as you grow a little older. Well, he was a great mentor, he was a great witness, and clearly, you know, look at the fruit, right? It's all about, yeah, the things that got made, that actually got made in the name of Jesus, in the sense that most of those things were not within my bounds of the things that I was given sometimes, and I would be, you know, working outside of the lines of what the machines could even achieve, and I would be able to give it to the inspection people, and somehow it would make it past, and I knew, I knew there was something helping me in many situations. I mean, it was more than, I've been shown many times, and even with, like, I have to admit, like, sometimes, like, if I even got upset at somebody outside of work, and I went back to work upset, like that thing, don't go to sleep angry, you know, it was the same with my work, and I would cut myself on something, and the voice in my head would say, now, did that person deserve that?

You know, you should go back and apologize, and it was the cut, and the mistake that I made that even just hurt myself, that got me to thinking about treating other people better sometimes, even when the stress was getting to me, you know? So Jesus was doing other things, too. He used that place to form me as a Christian.

He's always working, isn't he? And he had just the right, he had the right person, he had the right environment. It was a formula.

Right. Until I saw it, it was a formula. It was a beautiful little formula, like, you know, I kind of, out of my about of it now, I'm actually helping an elderly person, I'm doing, you know, kind of like my afterlife, I guess, but in the sense from work, you know, that's how you work. Oh yeah, I get it.

I get it. That works very hard to keep doing. It's very stressful work, and as you get to a certain age, you got to kind of move on to something new.

Yeah, because your hands got to be phenomenally steady. Yes, yes, there's a lot of, as you get older, everything changes, and actually, a big part of it is we actually get certain things from being in the machine shop. We get certain disorders from the machinery, like the oil, and you get allergic to the coolants over time, you get more allergic to this stuff like that. You don't get a tolerance to like chemicals.

You get more allergic, so you have to get away from it, because it'll give you breathing trouble and all that, eventually, just being around the... Yeah, even flight attendants and all suffer with all kinds of things from being in certain environments with fuels. It's... Most of us, that kind of work, I have to say, all those people were heart people, and nine out of ten of them were Christians. There weren't many people in the machine shop in that kind of risky kind of world where you were putting your fingers in places, and that risky world only had Christians, or you know, a lot of Christian people. There was very few unfaithful men in the room and women in the room. Like, it was not a place where you could actually probably spend a whole lot of time if you didn't have God, just because there's a lot going on. It's very... You gotta have some trust here.

You gotta have some faith in the people around you, and that comes from God, too. Yeah, it does. Donovan, that was... Oh, man. You made my day. You really, really did. Yeah, I thank you for your shows, man. Your shows are awesome. I love the Car Guy Show. I'm a car guy myself. I'm a 1984 Chevy Vay guy. Oh, good.

You know, the A-Team van. That's the word. That's beautiful. Well, Donovan, you have a great Labor Day weekend, and I'm gonna cherish your testimony a lot.

And... Praise Jesus, brother. All right. God bless. We got... Mike is in Ohio. Mike, I know you see God at work. Let us have it. Well, I got two grandkids, four dogs, and I'm cooking dinner, and I'm doing this all for my family and friends, and, you know, and then, like, what did I get myself in here, God?

What did I get myself into? You know? And please help me have patience, and, you know what I mean?

And then it's not easy to be selfless, is that a good word? You know, to serve others, and, you know, it's every day you kind of, I serve others making cabinets and stuff, and, you know, I literally pray for the situation that the customer would love the cabinets that I'm done with, and the kitchen layout is exactly what they want, and 99.9% of the time it all works out perfectly, and, you know, God is just in hand in my life every day. So that's, you know, and my grandkids are outside running around while I'm cooking dinner and they're playing with the dog, you know what I mean?

So I didn't know that. You make cabinets. Yes, I make cabinets, yeah, cabinets, yep, kitchen cabinets, yep. And it's the same kind of work that Donovan, not the same kind of work, but in other words, you're literally working with your own hands.

Yeah, every day, lifting heavy sheets of plywood and lumber and making them into a cabinet, you know, and finish and staining and painting, and I have my own cabinet shop, that's where the guy was stuck in the mud behind me, was behind my cabinet shop, so, you know, it's... And do you have other employees that work there with you? I just have one. His name is Colston. His dad was a preacher, but he's fallen away from God a little bit, so let's pray for him at one time. Well, let's go for it. Mike, it's time. No time like right now, because we've only got a couple minutes left, so let's pray for Colston.

Yes. Lord, thank you for Mike. I thank you for the witness. I'm sure he is to Colston, and we pray for his heart, Lord, because only you have those keys. And so, Lord, we pray that you would begin to help him to see something in Mike that would be attractive, but more importantly, that obviously that he would see something in you that would be attractive, and that he would begin that journey into the Word, that journey into his relationship with you, that he would too bear much fruit, that he would be truly, truly blessed to have that relationship with you, and I ask this in Jesus' name. So, Mike, I know you're hard at work. I'll give you the last few seconds.

What would you like to share? God loves you if you're listening. He really does. He will love you every day.

He does. You couldn't say it better, and that's so true. That's helpful. Thank you for listening.
